Beware of the deceiving pictures I chose this property due to the lovely pics The rooms are far from what they look like in the photos

The rooms did not come with a separate seating area, as depicted in the pictures I bought cleaning supplies from Dollar Tree to clean the bathroom just because we kept seeing long pieces of hair all over the place and to sanitize it The hotel rooms are supposedly remodeled; I can’t see where other than the flooring and maybe the paint on the wallsThe laundry room doesn’t even look like that in the photos It would be best if you planned on spending several quarters to get your clothes to spin correctly and then send your clothes through a couple of drying cycles to have dry clothes I can say, though, that the laundry area was cleanWe stayed at this hotel for seven days, and the hallway was never vacuumed the whole time we were there I know that to be the case because there was a mustard packet and a bottle cap I looked at each time we left or returned to our hotel room The stairs had food that was spilled and never mopped up, eitherDon’t expect your linens to be changed or your room cleaned unless you ask And even then, you won’t have your room cleaned They only clean between guests Once, I had asked to change my bedding, and it never was, only to find out when we returned to our room late that night with a garbage bag sitting by our door was the requested fresh bedding There was always a problem with having towels available What was the problem did the towel monsters eat them? The tub in our room had jets, and we were going to use them to have my granddaughter soak her muscles from running track When we turned on the jets, black stuff shot out of them That was a no-goSeveral families live in the hotel on the first floor You can tell because they have chairs, grills, and dogs in front of their doors And they hang out, and the children run amuckThe good thing I can say is the employees are helpful and friendly The breakfast was good, and the hotel was in a great location Several restaurants and stores are close by We were only 30 miles outside of Greensboro I did like that there were several places to charge devices, which helped since we had four people in the room needing to charge phones, tablets, headphones, and laptopsThe bed was comfortable as well I probably wouldn’t stay again; however, it is a decent place to stay to lay your head Also, there isn’t an elevator on this property, so if you have heavy luggage, or problems going up and down stairs, you may want to rethink staying on the first floor towards the back, away from the tenants Seems quieter there

The staff is friendly Downside was the toilet didn’t work when we arrivedThey fixed it within 30 min

Although the room seemed clean, it makes me wonder how thorough the cleaning staff isIt’s an ok place to stay if you’re on a budget I believe they’re understaffed Perhaps that’s 1 reason you get good deals there

I was charged an extra $100 for my pet We stayed two nights last weekend (may 13 & 14, 2022) I made these reservations in advance as my husband and I were visiting our granddaughters for their birthday We have a senior dog with issues walking, I made the reservation to include my dog

We arrived, checked in and spent one night, the next day the management harassed my husband about our dog, stating we have him in a “non pet friendly room” For 1, how would WE know which are pet friendly and which are not? We went to the room they gave us a key for Then charged us an extra $100 for having him in there We had already paid for him to be there! We went to the birthday party and my husband went back to the room a few hours later to check on him and found him locked in the bathroom away from his doggy bed and water dish He had been barking I’m not sure how long he had been locked in the bathroom In addition to the $100 they stole from me, the coffee maker and microwave in the room did not work Also there are signs everywhere about being fined $50 or $100 for things such as taking food to your room from the breakfast downstairs, and something about locals renting rooms, I guess that’s an $100 deposit They have an outdoor pool, which we were told we could not bring our granddaughters to swim in Also, if you sleep in and miss the breakfast which only runs from 6am until 9am you also miss out on coffee all together Most hotels offer coffee all day, but not this one The room was ok… we had a king room, but I have a king bed at home, and there’s no way that was a king bed… it was a queen It was comfortable and I slept well, and it was only 4 miles from our granddaughters home, that’s the nicest thing I can say about the experience

I’ve lived at this hotel for two months now Great hospitality, clean rooms, beds sheets are quality Rooms have a full fridge and a dishwasher which is great for long stays like I did

I always felt safe, great food options around the hotel Staff were amazing! I became friends with couple of them Only improvement they could do is when they repave the parking lot… to make the parking spaces bigger 🙈 it was always a tight squeeze, and most people don’t know how to park

We stayed here for approximately 100 nights from November to March 2022 We spent Thanksgiving and Christmas there while waiting for our new house to be finished and it was just wonderful The staff are very friendly and helpful, big shout out to Lindsey and Bobbi!! The breakfast every morning was great, my only complaint is they need more items with bacon! lol The rooms were very spacious and clean

Beds super comfortable They have a nice lounge area in the lobby with 24/7 free coffee, tea etc The gym is very nice and the free laundry was great! Thanks for making us feel at home!

Kayla Hylton

The room was very clean, and very large! It has almost a full kitchen with everything you need, and a couch It was super easy using the app for the check in/out and for the room key There were so many options for breakfast

The employees were nice and helpful It is in a good location right off of 85 There was no noise coming from other rooms And the sheets are the best ever!! My room contols didnt work from my phone for some reason, but that was my only issue Overall great experience!

We had a king suite with plenty of space for a couple and child The comforter on the pull out sofa was dirty (brown smudges in addition to set in stains which I know won’t come out) but they didn’t have a clean one to give to us They didn’t have enough pillows for us so I guess we should bring our own

The breakfast was more like a grab and go but still sufficient

The stay went well

up until I woke up with a very stiff back I will not blame the bed bcuz it’s not 1st nor will it be the last time Anyway the pain kept me from checking out at 11amso I asked housekeeping (room phone didn’t work) if I could have more time One of housekeepers brought me luggage cartso finally got down to front desk and staff was sitting in lobby watching tv so pushed past her(still in major pain) thanking her for staying She noticed a pillow I brought from home and asked (very accusatory tone) if it belonged to them I politely said “No” then I’d gotten right through the 1st auto door when I remembered that I’d forgotten to tip housekeeping and it was a fee min after 12noon by this point, so I turned back (still hurting) and handed the woman in lobby/front desk a $20 tip and asked her to give it to housekeeping and I apologize for holding them up She very loudly and hatefully yelled ” I’m the one you’re supposed to notify after telling her that I would’ve if the phone workedand asked if “she wanted a $20 bill too” Her response was “Get your stupid a** out of here and don’t you come back ” Never called to report her but she definitely shouldn’t have a job in hospitality or with public Highly doubt I’ll return

David James

The lady that worked the front desk Thursday March 24th at about 6pm was incredibly rude I was asking questions about the cash deposit that wasn’t mentioned when I paid and she was very rude and combative

when I asked to speak to a manager first she told me they weren’t there then when I asked if they could be called, called them and said isn’t it our policy they have to leave $100 deposit then hung up and just looked at mewhen telling her that I booked through a travel site and payment was non refundable she told me that’s not her problem and to leave if I couldn’t give get the moneyI have worked in customer service for over 10 years and this was by far the worst service I have ever receivedwhen I asked for her name she refused to give it to meshe just kept being rude to me the whole time I was there and telling me she didn’t care and to leave if I didn’t like the policy Having people like this working at any establishment is horrible for business and I will be telling all my colleagues to stay away from this placeI usually don’t leave lengthy reviews like this but the service was that bad that I felt it needed to be doneplease if you are traveling avoid this placeif they are employing people like this young lady they don’t deserve your hard earned moneythere are a ton of hotels around the area with better rooms for cheaper prices Also shower water barely got hot told the young lady about it she just shrugged her shoulders and said okhorrible attitude horrible personeveryone else I encountered there was fine but she was horrible and her manager is no better if she let’s her talk to customers like thatDO BETTER!!!!!

This is a large park split into multiple sections It is very green with lots of trees and many of the sites are shaded Sites are mostly gravel but with grass or ground cover between

Some of the sites are quite wide and deep You definitely feel like you are in a forest There is a small lake in the park and common areas that provide spaces for a lot of activities although we were not here long enough to really explore them Portions of the park are a bit hilly The section we were in was that way and some of the sites seem quite sloped and may be difficult to level There is a new section of the park that has large flat sites with less tree cover We liked that better than the section we were in We stayed in a RV but there are also cabins for rent by the lake There is a main gate to the park so security is good Hookups were in a good location AT&T and Verizon were both good If you get a good site this could be a nice place to spend a week or two

Jim L

We really enjoyed this park during out two week stay The park is larger than most Thousand Trails and is great for walking in the park or on the surrounding trails The site was assigned, but we were happy with our site

Every one of the workers I came in contact with seemed to enjoy what they were doing and it is one of the cleanest Thousand Trails we have visited There are quite a few long term sites, but they were all very well maintained and clean as if they site owners took pride in their space They are also undergoing a significant expansion and were working hard to get the new section open Finally, you can see a Cell Tower from the park and ATT and Verizon were blazing fast

Patsy Lawless

Can you give negative stars? The two ladies that were cleaning the cabins were the friendliest and most helpful all weekendRally and on site coordination apparently did not occur So many mistakes and mishaps

Renal for the day of a pavilion that we had to hunt down tables and chairs to use and return ourselves plus get someone to clean Then to have the local “golf cart warriors” to try and run us out of the pavilion Some of our family felt pretty threatened and we’re in fear of this groupI absolutely do not recommend this location unless you are going to become a “frequent” and local visitor as anyone else gets a horrible treatment This from our entire family, 10 cabins and 2 campsite worth of people Very disappointed with our Elite membership on this

Service and staff are amazing Hotel is very clean Comfortable beds

The only thing I didn’t like was the guy in the room next to us smoking weed Chris moved us immediately though and tended to us efficiently Amazing service Hope that weed guy got charged every penny for the issue Let not a bad neighbor slight the service though They certainly took care of it

queen downing

Hotel was very clean the smoking room didn’t smell like smoke at all Lady on front desk Dede I think her name was the very best checking in My house had burned down and we needed a place to stay for the night she made things very comfortable and easy for my husband and I

Definitely recommend this hotel Hot breakfast was great as well, would definitely book again

Bill Rogers

There is no way this hotel should have won a GOLD award The pool was broke, no notice provided before we got there (however, I received multiple emails including one on the previous day making sure I was still coming) The only working ice maker was on the third floor

None of the soda machines worked, I was told by the staff, ‘yeah someone should buy some sodas and fill that sometime’ I booked two rooms, it would have been nice if they were next to each other The one room was supposedly cleaned, maybe the bed made and vacuumed but that was it There was a dirty washcloth in the shower, there was still hair allover the sink and sink counter, the shower curtain was dirty, there was left over fruit loops from the previous stay under the night stand When you book a room at a Non-Smoking hotel you do that for a reason, you do not need to walk out the front door to the hotel staff smoking with one on each side so that you have to walk through a plume of smoke to get into and out of the hotelThere is no way this hotel should have ever won any awards other than dog hotel of the year maybe!! I like my dog more than that so I would find a better place for them also Go elsewhere!!!

Disappointing stay at this location Day staff was friendly and tried to make issues right, but overall experience was not acceptable, even for a budget hotel Walls are paper thin, was woke up by people in the parking lot carrying on, but it stopped before I could call front desk

Bathroom sink was not clean and also saw bugs in the room (not bed bugs though) TV, which is just a convenience, only worked properly once Desk chair had 2 cigarette burns and this was a non-smoking room Again, only positive was the staff on Thursday, but that could not over come the room issues Not expecting a 5 star experience at a budget hotel, but do expect a room where I can get a good night sleep

John Bullock

Very clean and neat Receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable about the local area I used to stay at this location with some frequency but it has been completely remodeled and updated

As a smoker I was, however, disappointed to find they no longer offer any smoking rooms 😞 This is the only reason for my slightly less than perfect rating

Joshua Wacker

The room and motel smelled weird like wet carpet and mildew We checked in late and left early in the morning The beds were comfortable and appeared clean

There were a few stains on the wall and damage to the room and furniture Overall everything else was working and functional Water hot and pressure okay The location was right next to the route 59

She has such a wonderful personality and such a jewl Thanks Ms Carol for your amazing customer service

We stay at this location often Every stay has been wonderful It can be challenging to find a clean, safe, and pleasant hotel that is still pet friendly

The complimentary hot breakfast is great and staff is always friendly and helpful The accommodations are updated and we will go out of our way to stay here everytime driving from Florida to New York and back which we do several times each summer I’m usually traveling by myself with my 4 kids ranging from 15 to 18 and our small dog and can always count on a good stay

If I could give negative stars Johanna was absolutely horrible Disrespectful and lazy

She would not give my deposit back due to me smoking in my room because she found an old cigarette butt on the dresser We followed all the requirements and rules of the facility We went outside to smoke and walk our service animals As an owner of a service animal with high functioning anxiety this was the worst experience I have ever received at a comfort inn I know will suffer with this experience and it will ruin future plans in going out to a hotel I am high distraught in this experience, and i just wanted my deposit back Why follow the rules of the facility if I was was going to be charged regardless? It is appalling to think this is considered a higher ranked hotel 8/10 stars on hotelscom, but honestly I am highly unsatisfied with my stay Negative 50 stars I am sure this is a scam and the manager is taking cash deposits, and saying a rule was broken, so they can pocket the money I was told I could not speak with a a manger that they would not be in today I was not able to resolve my issues in a peaceful manner This is completely unconstitutional and illegal Pleas do not waste the time or your money by staying with comfort inn The current manager needs to be let go, she obviously doesn’t care about the guest and scams them for the cash deposits I am so upset I really hope this reaches corporate, so that this will not happen to another person who follows all rules and laws

I stayed here once before and the rooms were nice However I booked and reserved a room for one night and paid for it with my debit card When I go to the desk the clerk refused to give me a room without me paying a $100 deposit

I tried to explain to the clerk that I have already paid and reserved the room online that they never said anything about a deposit on the website He still refused then I had to play hell and tag your it on the phone to finally get my money refunded back to my card I enjoy the motel just not that snotty clerk

Nicole Demery

Let me start by saying the beds are VERY comfortable, the room was clean, & the water was super hot That’s the best part of our stay The service was friendly

We didn’t interact much We didn’t care to try the breakfast so I went comment on how good or nasty it was The biggest problem the smells The first floor ALWAYS had a very loud odor Either it smells like some animal took a dump while walking down the hall; or it smells like a Marijuana shop The smell was so strong it was unbelievable Huge reason I would find another place to stay

Ceceila Query

Was refused service The man wouldn’t even speak to us He didn’t speak English

He wanted an outrageous deposit for the room Honestly it smelled like burnt plastic Would not be surprised if it was a cover business for drugs It was an awful experience By the looks of the lobby I had second thoughts of staying there before the man couldn’t speak to us It was just terrible So don’t stay here

I have been staying here every year ever since I started going to North Carolina back in 2018 I will not stay anywhere else unless I have no choice (Such as them having no rooms left) I am only giving 4 stars because the pool has been closed the past 2 years I went

Including this year I hope the pool opens back up next yearI also am only giving 4 stars because I called the hotel at noon and the nice lady told me that the room will be ready at 3 I got to the hotel at 3 and my room was not ready However, I was given a different room because I told the pleasant woman at the desk that I called at noon and was told a room would be ready, so that was very nice that they accommodated me like that

Spacious and clean There is a terrible lack of parking Made me wonder how there are more rooms than parking spaces

🤔 There were no sheets for the pull out couch, only a queen sized fleece blanket The bathroom setup is nice There are plenty of options for breakfast, I’d skip the bananas and yogurt though! The location right off of I-85 makes it worth it

Walter Smith

The hotel is easy to find and in a convenient location The staff were very friendly and courteous The room itself was disappointing

The internet connection was very slow and I was unable to access some sites By the time I left the computer, ants had found my food on the desk The grab and go breakfast offering was disappointing and not up to the quality I have received at other Marriot hotels
