Great place to stay in Washington The staff is EXCEEDINGLY helpful and kind to travelers! The breakfast is great

a bit pricey but remember where you’re at this hotel is very close to the mall, the Metro, and all sights you want to see The taxi service in DC is wonderful and the drivers are kind We attended a conference at the Hilton and the serving staff is amazing and professional The room service is well organized and prompt When you call the front desk to ask questions they want to help you every time Next time I’m traveling individually in Washington this Hilton will be my destination Thank you for a GREAT experience and for your thoughtful and kind staff

I wanted to give special thanks to this hotel for taking care of my folks over the fourth of July weekend I had four family members fly in from California, and they chose to stay here because of its proximity to our house and the city Firstly,

the rooms themselves are very spacious, and the amenities were super awesome! My family mentioned that the staff here really went out of their way to make their stay special Even my own interactions with some of the employees were always great The thing that we liked best about the hotel was its location There is a mall just a short elevator ride down to the lower level, and they have a food court and several major retailers Whats more, the metro station is located right downstairs, so we were all able to travel downtown to see the fireworks without the hassle of driving or searching for parking My people will for sure choose this hotel again the next time they come to visit us

Sarah Beets

Great location right next to the metro Easy access to shops like 7/11 and iHop We had an issue with our room where there was a dripping sound all through the night but when we alerted the staff they got someone in to look into it right away and when they couldn’t fix us they promptly moved us to a new room

Great place for a family and the coffee was great which always helps Will definitely stay again!

We were Leary staying here because of other negative reviews but they proved to be wrong The front desk staff was pleasant upon arrival, check in was easy and the lobby was clean and inviting Most importantly the room was very clean and comfy and the water pressure in the bathroom was strong

Complimentary coffee in the morning is always appreciated The elevators have a security measure that You need your room key to activate from the lobby I appreciate that because you don’t have unwanted visitors roaming around the hotel A bonus to this hotel is FREE parking! I didn’t give it 5 stars because the rooms didn’t have microwaves I would visit this establishment again

Kaci Cobb

Here now Hotel is nice Staff is friendly

Good location The only issue we really have is there’s no microwave in the room so we can’t really heat up anything for the kids They like to eat half their dinner and bring the rest for later or breakfast Kind of disappointing we can’t do that So just a suggestion would be to add a microwave to the rooms

Kayla Minguez

Happy we were able to check in early as we just moved to the area and had been driving cross-country Desk staff were kind and helpful Room was fine but looked a bit outdated and there was a weird stain on the bathroom wallpaper by the sink that kind of made me think of Forensic Files

The AC also never really seemed to cool the room down It was fine for an overnight but for a Hilton I’d say good not great

Now this is what I expect from a Marriott 5 star red carpet treatment Flawless check-in process

I informed the staff my family and I would be coming in late It’s very refreshing to have a professional staff regardless of the hours Everyone here treated me with the upmost respect Other Marriotts need to follow their lead I was even surprised with a room upgrade Fabulous experience Thank you Marriott! Loved the breakfast everyday!

Monica Bailey

John Wickman was a rude front desk – trying to check in at night and was being rude and unprofessional Accused me of harassing him and even told me that he will call the police and my “mother” taught me not to be polite Was asking him a simple question, when my “white” partner tried to check in, he was nice

But when I checked in (cause the reservation was under my name) – it was different Is it because I’m Asian? Sir, you are rude and a disgrace for Marriott hotels Racist old man!!!Even if we “can’t” check in yet, don’t be rude with loyal customers or any customers or don’t be rude with people You don’t threaten them to call the police or include “your” mother on how they raised you Unacceptable, rude and racist!

Great hotel and amazing staff We stayed here for 2 weeks The hotel staff really cared, were so friendly, and very helpful

The restaurant has a great menu and the sushi chefs were superb The pool was very nice, and the gym had everything a person needs The hotel beds were very comfortable The staff that worked at the hotel marketplace were always so nice and friendly I highly recommend this hotel

Jasmine Hanonu

This is a beautiful hotel with amazing views and staff Price is very competitive The staff were very kind and welcoming

I only stayed one night, I checked in around 5pm and left at 8 the next morning, so because of my time restraints I chose not to go directly to staff to see if they could make things right The bathroom was not properly cleaned The sink had hair from a previous shave, and I had a towel that didn’t seem clean either We had a chaise in the room, but it had some stains on it I am hoping this was just a fluke, because I would love to stay again They also charge $17 for breakfast, but we left early to grab breakfast elsewhere If it were for the disappointment with cleanliness, this would have been an easy 5 star review

Tali Norby

It’s such a beautiful hotel with wonderful amenities, however, I have never had such terrible customer service When I first checked in, the receptionist was actually wonderful Checked in, went to my room, went to bed

I was then woken up at 5:30 am to the phone ringing I didn’t answer It rang a second time Still just waking up so I didn’t answer it in time Went back to bed Someone then started knocking on my door, yelling in my room saying “have you checked in?” Mind you, it is 5:30 am and I checked in the previous day at 4 pm for two nights I answer the door and the guy writes my name down and says I wasn’t reserved? So he took my name and said he’ll take care of it I go back to bed and my phone rings AGAIN and I answer it and no one is on the other end Then it rings YET AGAIN and I answer angrily, and they say “do you have a reservation?” To which I said my name and said I will head to the lobby I hang up and they called…again I didn’t answer and went straight to the front desk The receptionist then said “the last receptionist didn’t check you on all the way but I found your reservation and figured it out” and proceeded to give me a voucher for free breakfast For only that morning That I ultimately missed because I was woken up at 5:30 am and it took me a couple hours to fall back asleep after that No other explanation, and no other way to make it right in my eyes So so disappointed

I visited this location for a conference The entry way is contemporary and the decor quickly creates a visually stimulating atmosphere There are ample places to sit and gather, talk, relax, or have a bite to eat

There are various areas to also work or take a phone call in the lobby areas and areas that are in each floor The conference area is easily accessible and is multifaceted in it’s design The staff is quite amazing for assistance I can’t say enough about this as I was a sighted person attending a conference for the American Federation of the Blind leadership Conference The entire organization ensured everything was accessible for attendees and guide dogs They were stellar in their customer service and hospitality with this situation

Val Jones

Very clean and modern rooms Fridges are in the rooms which is always a wonderful thing I love the lighting in the room! Everything is fresh and vibrant! I think the bathroom is a tad small but it has an industrial look so it’s sort of gets away with it

Also it has an Ethernet plug!!! Always a good thing!!! Overall I really enjoy this hotel great customer service and great design! And nice views from the 14th floor

Tonya Walker

My stay has always be amazing! Hotel is close to everything you need and surrounding areas– National Harbor, mall, monument

etc The front desk, security, other staff and valet attendants treat you with respect with great member service My recent stay was June 29- July 1st and it was superb I had a personal, unexpected situation on my behalf and Irene was able to come up and help assist me (in which she did not have to) She checked on me throughout my stay and gave me the most sweetest and genuine wisdom there and at my car during my departure I did not get the valet attendants names but they went beyond my expectations Late night room service (delicious, and flavorful), pool, restaurant inside hotel and near and other hotel amenities are a Plus! I always refer others to stay here Keep doing a terrific job, and providing superb service to your guests You have a loyal member/guest from me and my family Blessings to you all😊❤ See you soon!!

Corrie Christiaansen

The staff was super friendly, especially Robert and Kristine at the front desk and the bartender I was very impressed by the cleanliness and modern sleek style of the hotel The food and drinks at the bar were amazing, I recommend the shrimp linguine and the cheese spinach dip! In general my stay was quiet and peaceful in exception for some of the noise from the Metro station across the street

On the other hand, the Metro station being right there was very convenient for my trip With all the mandates and safety concerns in DC, this hotel was the perfect alternative to still be close to DC without actually staying in DC

Alison Molnar

Really excellent customer service; helped me navigate a lost credit card situation with ease! My trip very easily could’ve been difficult, but they made the check-in process painless The rooms are nice and clean – I especially appreciate the drybar hair dryers and 24 hour gym My room did have a lot of noise from the metro, but that can’t be helped

Peggy Allen

Great location close to subway We did not need to rent a car during our visit Nice savings

Very quiet throughout hotel Nice bar and restaurant in the evenings If you are too tired to leave for supper- this place, with a small menu, will satisfy if you are looking for a beer and a good burger Breakfast was very nice with a great wait staff that brought drinks and coffee quickly each morning and remembered thereafter Tables always clean unlike other hotels that leave messy tables when mornings are busy and tables are in demand Good coffee Would stay again

This hotel was amazing! My family and I stayed here over the weekend and we truly enjoyed this hotel Check-in was pretty quick Continental breakfast was available every morning

Food was pretty good Rooms were amazing! I had 3 King Suites (2 bedrooms) and all three were spotless Great location right across from the Metro station Also, there was a 2 hour reception every night that included 2 free drinks per person per day Very thoughtful! Lima was amazing, and even gifted a later check-out time due to traffic My only complaint was parking, but that was to be expected

Becky Coxson

Cocktail hour was great Room clean and comfy Staff very nice

Would have given 5 stars if trash cans in elevators has not been overflowing onto floor If you don’t have staff to empty cans don’t put them out Also have to ask if you want clean towels or room trash emptiedBreakfast buffet was well maintained

Justin S

Great stay over the 4th of July weekend! Although the hotel was very busy, they were extremely attentive to any need we had! Great included breakfast! They went the extra mile and reached out to offer a late checkout on our departure day…which helped us out immensely Great location to the train as well! Will stay again when visiting DC

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your room This web site will compare thousands of booking websites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is the best rated in the area

I have been coming here for a long time If you stay for a few nights you for sure will love it I’m sure!Excellent hotel in a great location Reception staff were helpful and stored my bag since I arrived early until my room was ready Received a suite upgrade using my Marriott rewards with a nice view Room was clean with lots of space 2 separate thermostats Internet connected TV’s

Mitra CD

This hotel is at 10 minutes from the National Mall in Washington DC This means that if you have a car, it’s really worth it to spend more or less the same money here than in one of the hotels inside DC limits within a lower categoryThe rooms are REALLY clean, which shows you are in a superior category hotel

The location is great, very close to DC and even closer to restaurants in Arlington We noticed a couple of minor issues (drawers which don’t close completely, the sink draining not as fast as it should) The hotel isn’t new but it has been quite well maintained

Chelsea M

This hotel is a great place to stay when visiting DC, you can ride the metro in & it isn’t that far The hotel was clean and smelled pleasant, I especially enjoyed the regular sized toiletries, I bring my own every time because the tint bottles that most hotels typically have isn’t enough for my family The snack stand down stairs was extremely convenient & they have a Starbucks in the lobby! Also the restaurant attached to the hotel, The Commentary had some extremely delicious food!! The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that you need the room card to exit the parking garage when you leave

We forgot of course & threw ours in the “express checkout” box right by the elevator The front desk woman was kind enough to make us one so we could get out Would definitely stay here again & recommend to others!!

Perfectly respectable accommodations for this kind of hotel but what really set our stay apart was the staff They were friendly and attentive and gave the place the feel of a family-run inn rather than a chain hotel The front desk even made sure that I got the wedding rate we thought we had missed out on

The location is solid, close to the Metro on the off-chance that it’s running and you can take the trolley down King Street Valet was excellent and prompt, but that is the only parking option if you don’t want to go to another garage Room was clean, if small (though not for the area), with a surprisingly nice shower

phil weiss

First of all I would like to thank the amazing staff for making our stay good I say good because the room was barely tolerable Small and cramped it was really difficult to relax in

Not enough outlets for the many chargers you need now and the desk under the TV and abutting the bed made bathroom stops problematic The “smart fridge” didn’t work so they brought up a working one that did On the other hand the shower was amazing, hot and powerful and the beds were comfortable I understand this is “Old Town” but this is also Hyatt Make the rooms either bigger or more ergonomically efficient One more shout out to Angela, Will and the others that really catered to us Thank you!

Austin Graff

My family and puppy stayed at the Hyatt Centric for a staycation in June We stayed one night on a Saturday Here’s our experience:1) Space: It’s a new hotel so it’s more slick than other nearby options

Although a simple design, it’s clear the hotel is more cheap than others The lobby is spacious and the rooms normal sized compared to city hotels2) Service: The front desk staff were incredibly kind and welcoming Our room’s blinds were broken upon arrival and they took care of it right away3) Amenities: There’s a medium-sized gym, a sub par restaurant and valet parking Pro-tip: Park along Cameron Street behind the hotel to save on valet parking4) Location: It’s perfect! It’s close to the King Street Metro, free trolley stops and Whole Foods You can walk to dozens of shops and restaurants

Lil Threadz custom shirts for the whole family

I rarely write reviews but my husband and I just had a wonderful stay at the Lorien We only did 1 night but we wish we could have stayed longer The hotel was immaculate

The room was spacious, updated and clean Extremely comfortable We travel often btwn TX and NJ and this is a great , convenient pit stop I should also add that we are traveling with our dog and it’s a perfect walkable neighborhood

Cosette Livas

It was a bit overrated They charge for EVERYTHING, and really you can’t tell why For a Spa the TOWELS in the room were rough, the beds are NOT Queens they are Doubles, they only have double beds at the elevator and in adjoining rooms, I have request for neither and could not be accommodated

There were some staff that were very helpful and provided extras when asked, but for what we were paying we really shouldn’t have had to ask for enough towels etcThe location is great especially if weather it goodIf you Valet, look behind you if you don’t see him, they sitting in their car? (crazy) but they were able to get car to you when neededThe BEST part was the restaurant that is connected We did dinner thereTOP NOTCH, PRICEY BUT I WILL SAY WORTH IT The Mussels and the pastayummy David was the best waiter ever and we did see the value thereA friend recommended this place and he admitting stayed there years ago, he loved itbut when we told him our experiences, he said obviously they had changed management or ownershipWe even heard them charging a person for Early check in, the person walked up and said she was there, if room was available great, but if not she just wanted to leave info at desk for when ready, she was in a conference there the girl proceeded to check her in, says room is available and then addsthat will be 4500 early check in the guest was like wait, what, I said I would waitit’s crazy sneaky stuff like that, that really not goodOh and the Happy Hour wineis Woodbridgecome on give me something for the 2500 FEE you’ve tacked on

This review would have had more stars but upon check in the glasses in the room were very dirty Additionally when my boyfriend woke up the next morning we found a used condom by the side of the bed Totally unacceptable

The operations manager did call to explain how this is not up to standard etc which I did appreciate but just sucks It was my birthday and not how I wanted to spend the day Ended up checking out Unfortunate situation If you stay here please check the cleanliness of your rooms Front desk staff was very nice and pleasant Wish I had a better overall experience

We stayed over the weekend at this Hotel Very nice

very clean and rates were very fair and affordableThe beds was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and there was plenty of towels The staff was very friendly and helpful with me and my family The only con that I can think of is I still haven’t received back my $6000 room deposit back yet and it was supposed to be credited back to my account upon check out

Spent a week here recently The service was very good The bar service was great and food was quick and easy to order

The concierge lounge was very nice and I took full advantage of it for breakfast and late night snacks The only thing I would have changed would be adding the concierge lounge key to the digital key I ended up having to get a key card for that access separately It was an easy fix though and the front desk personnel were very helpful

Titanium member This is a fantastic hotel with open spaces and clean rooms The staff are inviting and pleasant

They do have an open concierge lounge on the top floor It had hot eggs and bacon with the typical abbreviated breakfast items this morning Oatmeal, yogurt, juices, etc No charcuterie plate, but has enough to grab and go The bed was stellar and the shower/tub was spotless and well cared forHotel is quiet no matter which room you get, so that’s a big plus if you fly in late and need to sleep asap before the early rise, or if you have kiddos I definitely recommend!

I have stayed here several times for work and it has been a great experience each time The rooms are very nice and are clean and well maintained The hotel bar and restaurant is convenient and offers a decent drink and lighter food menu, but the location and being within walking distance from everything on King Street is one of the best parts

The staff is very courteous and attentive and the hotel itself has some nice amenities and a little convenience shop as well My only complaint is how tight/narrow the parking garage is as well as the parking fees Otherwise, this has been a great place to stay

Location is great; unfortunately, it was a pit stop for us, so we didn’t get to explore the neighborhood I’m pretty surprised the hotel is listed as 4-star There was a distinct mildewy smell in the hallway of our floor that lessened but didn’t disappear entirely

Room was clean but shows definite wear and needs an update, especially the bathroom The wastebasket in the room was comically small We didn’t venture to the in-house restaurant because the business convention crowd was so loud at the bar that we couldn’t imagine sitting and trying to enjoy a meal No issues with staff; friendly folks I have stayed at many Hiltons and handful of true 4-star hotels, and this one is definitely more of 3-star, based on the price of parking, the lack of an available pool, the on-site dining options, and the overall luxury of the hotel Decent if you just need somewhere in the area to rest your head for a night or two

The Hilton Alexandria Old Town couldn’t be more conveniently located from the airport – just two quick metro stops away It is also handy to DC by metro if you don’t mind a bit of a longer ride (we didn’t) The metro is right across the street and there is also a Whole Foods a few minutes’ walk away

The room was large, comfortable, and very nicely furnished It was perfectly quiet – something we really value in a hotel room The hotel is in easy walking distance of all the shops and restaurants on King Street, also the water front If you don’t want to walk, there is a free trolley that comes right by the hotel I recommend becoming a Hilton Honors member (it is free to do so), otherwise there is a charge for wifi The staff were friendly and helpful

Courteous, helpful and professional front desk staff Solid, clean room and comfortable bed Appreciated the quiet room location as requested

Great water pressure and instantly hot water Best hotel gym I’ve used Good housekeeping, though sometimes forgot to refill coffee pods Microwave and fridge provided at request were very worn; fridge was warmer than 40 degrees F and microwave panel was detaching but worked Unbeatable location adjacent to metro stop, mall, and restaurants; 10 minute walk to grocery stores and 15-20 minute walk to Pentagon Overall great stay and would definitely stay again

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any stay This site will compare countless booking websites and usually will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is one of my favorites in the area

I have been coming here for years If you choose this place you won’t be disappointedExcellent location and service Rooms can be a little dated and though everyone loves an Honor Bar option, everyone also would appreciate some refrigerator space for their own things The mall and metro proximity with a three stop proximity to city center make this an excellent choice

My husband & I planned a weekend getaway and stayed at Ritz Carlton (Arlington, VA) on January 9-10, 2022 We had the most phenomenal experience! The cleanliness, the staff, the high floor room, and the Mediterranean restaurant, Santé was simply mind blowing! The location was also perfect! The hotel was connected to the Fashion Center it made it quite convenient for us to enter / exit the mall via the hotel I will definitely plan a trip to stay at the same place & book the same room again

Loved every bit of it! ♥️

Great hotel and great staff I stayed at this hotel with my family for three days and it was a great experience The location is excellent with all the restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance

The breakfast has great options and “Dave” runs the breakfast area like his own kitchen Thanks Residence Inn for this great experience! Will definitely be back for future stays!

Andrea Martin

Good location that is connected to a nice shopping area with a movie theater, Starbucks, multiple restaurants, a tailor, barbershop and more They do not have balcony’s or any individual outdoor spaced for the room, but there is a sitting area outside The pool was broken throughout the entire stay

The room was spacious, the shower head needed some attention

Me and family booked a night here from out of state Family of 4 with the king suite and pull out couch First off the pool doesn’t exist so don’t pack bathing suits nor believe the pictures

We were told it had been out of use for 6 years In our room on the south tower side we had no air and not to mention we had two toddlers with us So it wasn’t pleasant nor did I sleep good Parking is ridiculous being $42 a night but I guess your car stays safe right…? The breakfast that we paid for with our reservation was okay not the best breakfast I’ve had and it kind of bothered my family because waiters tried serving us when we didn’t want to be served and bothered us while eating wanting a tip…when our food was paid for…and it’s a buffet The pull out couch for my oldest toddler was mediocre outdated kinda feeling I will have to say it was clean more than other hotels I’ve been to so I give it that and it was close to a lot of attractions That’s about it!

My daughter was graduating from college in the area so I booked a room here Upon booking the room, I asked was there a pool and was told yes there is an indoor pool On the website, it states there’s a microwave and refrigerator in the room

Upon arrival, there was only a refrigerator but no microwave My granddaughter wanted to go to the pool so after her, my niece and nephew got dressed, we called the front desk to inquire about the location of the pool and was told that there hadn’t been a pool in the past 5 years I had an event to attend with my daughter so I made a call to the hotel while I was out to ask about the microwave that was suppose to be in the room and was told they would bring me one Upon returning to the room (picture provided) this is what I was provided It looks as if they pulled it out of an employee lounge or something with dents all over it The 2nd night the cable went out and did not come back on (pictures provided) I called the front desk and was told that they had called for repair For taxes and fees, I was charged the same amount as another night of stay ($466 for 2 nights) (pictures of room provided)I had family in another room, which they did not have any air conditioning The hotel did have it repaired which worked for a few hours then went back out, however they did have cable the entire stayNot 1 time did I receive an apology for any of the inconveniences from this hotel staff I attempted one more time to address all of the inconveniences upon check out At that time they offered to comp my parking which I didn’t have a car there, so I asked that they comp my family with the room that had no air conditioning They did do that for themThe staff acted as if all issues happen on a regular basis as they are quick to respond without checking any of it outI would never stay at another Double Tree anything I do not recommend this hotel under any circumstances

The service at this hotel was great and the staff was really friendly The rooms though

they really need to be updated Our bathroom mirror was broken all along the edges – which is a hazard – and the “King” bed in our suite was definitely a Queen Our shower didn’t drain properly, and since there is no daily housekeeping, that meant we needed to clean our own tub Good thing I had my Clorox wipesbut I didn’t pay the nightly fees to clean my own tub in a hotel suite Yes, maybe I could’ve switched rooms but who wants to do that after dragging your luggage to your room and unpacking? The A/C was questionable – you had to turn it down to the mid 60s to get the air up-to-par Note: this is coming from someone who typically likes the room in the 70sIf you don’t care about any of the above and you need a hotel in a great location, then by all meansknock yourself out

The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable The staff was very friendly and helpful The valet parking was convenient

The dining room wasn’t open and the breakfast they offered was average It would’ve been wonderful to be able to have breakfast in the dining room Plastic wrapped muffins and tarts, yogurt and coffee was all they offered There wasn’t much room to sit and eat I’m not sure I’d stay here again for the price they should have the dining room open

I recently spent three nights here and was thoroughly impressed with the service Everyone that I encountered from the front porch to first entering my room was polite and helpful My room was in a corner, with a view toward Washington

It contained the appropriate amount of space, with ample closet room and a well laid out bathroom Every morning, there was a selection of breakfast treats, juice, and of course coffee and teaVenturing out the first afternoon (with little knowledge of Alexandria), we were pleasantly surprised to learn that we were in the middle of the old area of town with various activities and a broad selection of restaurants available to us Walking around near the Morrison was a pleasant experience We enjoyed our stay hereAs bad luck would have it, I discovered when I arrived home that I had forgotten a package and left it at the hotel It had no current contact information attached, so I was worried about what would happen to the item As soon as I called the contact number, I learned that the package had been discovered, and stored in a secure area Within a day, it was on its way to my home, and it arrived safe and sound the following day I was impressed at how helpful the staff was each time I called for a progress reportFor my next trip to Alexandria, I will stay here again, and I highly recommend the Morrison for others

The Morrison House was the perfect location to host our wedding ceremony and reception! We also stayed at the hotel the week of the wedding and had an exceptional stay thanks to all of the incredible staff From the people at the front desk to the team setting up for the wedding everyone went above and beyond to make our experience special This was definitely one of the most hospitable places I have stayed at and cannot thank everyone at The Morrison enough!
