Exceptional experience This was a haven to us after a long and difficult week of caretaking We were tired and weary, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and safe

I have no words I can’t believe how wonderfully we were treated Everything was clean Freshly done, comfortable beds, we slept wonderfully So thankful

Amy May

Didn’t even stay! Rates were changed after we confirmed our reservation, then the site wouldn’t allow us to cancel 4 days before even with semi-flex Not sure why the same room needs to be $30 more night 2, $22 more night 3, and $17 more night 4, especially when we won’t require any cleaning or stocking of towels Furthermore, when we arrived, the front desk clerk, who claimed to be the manager, said the rates are locked and couldn’t be changed

I know this to be false! The best thing they did for us was cancel the $760 (4 night) reservation and let us find a much better hotel to stay in ($200 less, too) I have always looked for Hampton Inns because they are always worth the money but not so sure anymore

Tausha Duncan

I had a great stay at Hampton Inn My check-in/check out was quick and easy My room was so comfortable and I loved that shower! I did kind of wish for a bathtub rather than a shower, but what was there was superior to those in any other hotel I have stayed in

My room was clean and my bed was very comfortable 100% I’ll want to stay there again the next time I’m in Louisville

Stayed for a single night passing through town The front desk staff was very friendly and got me checked in fast Hotel was very dated and the air conditioner didn’t seem to follow the thermostat

Beds were comfortable Everything seemed cleaned but dirty at the same time I think that’s just because of the carpet, layout, and age of the furnishings Oh and lots of empty beverage cans when we rolled in that were still there when we left I expect more from the rate I paid, but it wasn’t awful

Tonya Fisher

Nice place to stay Quiet area, easy to get to other parts of Louisville quickly Breakfast was simple yet had hot options

Would have liked more fruit choicesA little short staffed at the time we went which made service a little slower at times otherwise it works have been 5 stars

Kirsty Ashby

Relaxed and friendly! The hotel was home to traveling kids sports teams the weekend we stayed This could have bothered some, but not this family of 4!The room was clean and had everything you’d need I especially liked the refillable wall unit for shampoo, conditioner and bath gel (great products and smell amazing), trash cans without plastic bags and recycling bin

The staff we encountered were very friendly and seemed to enjoy their job We checked in after midnight without issue My kids and I enjoyed the pool The breakfast was standard but yummy and included What more could you want for a short stay?

Update: The Omni Hotel is a beautiful experience This ability to be able to go to the Market, two restaurant’s, and a beautiful restaurant are great This place is not for those who want too get a hotel room and stay in, I would not recommend it

The room is a little underwhelming, with no microwave available in the deluxe room, a bourbon bar that is not accessible and only two towels unless more are requested This is not to say that the Facility is not worth a visit though If you are able and willing to spend more, you will get more The market has beautifully crafted breakfasts, a small coffee shop, and a place to purchase essentials The library is a good place to relax and work, and both restaurants, while a little on the pricey side, are absolutely amazing The atmosphere is also a beautiful thing to be apart of You are treated very well by all staff members all the way from the valet to the bar tender within the library I would definitely recommend this place for those seeking a wonderful experience I would not however recommend this place to those who are looking for a getaway on a budget It is in no way budget friendly

Daniel Cloyd

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your room They compare countless booking web sites and typically will have prices much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is one of the highest rated in this area

I have been staying here for a long time If you choose this place you for sure won’t be disappointedThis was was one of best hotels I stayed in It was very clean and the staff was 5 star From the time we pulled in for valet parking, to the front desk, to the bar was excellent We wanted to visit the adult beverage store but it was closed, The gentleman in the customer service area that worked the cash register close to Heine Brothers opened up for us just to see what you had Top notch customer service from the entire staff! Most definitely one of my top pick hotels in Louisville

Alex Tigges

Super busy the night that we stayed Most of the staff were super friendly The room was very nice, only the 7th floor, but the view is pretty good

Coffee shop was awesome Pin + proof was cool, went twice the first time was quiet but received great service, The second time was excessively loud and didn’t stay Reason for reduction of one star was standing at the bar, at the Library, and kept getting skipped over for service Stood for 20 minutes then walked away

Service has been better this stay! Our room has been cleaned and tidied up too Rooms are recently renovated with more modern decor Food options are limited and the walkway snack shop closes way too early which forces everyone to use the bar which isn’t feasible for everyone especially teens

Meeting spaces were well kept and easy to use for the most part but the rooms were either ice cold or hot Which it was summer but… over much more pleased this time around Glad they fixed issues of last year

Amy Davis

Very friendly staff, easy check in, rooms was clean and comfortable Access to the Yum Center was great Valet service was fast and friendly

Close to “whiskey row”Cons:In room safe on the top shelf of bedroom closet, terrible access for a short person (I’m 5’2” and had trouble)Room service is non-existent Ordering take-out from restaurant in the hotel wasn’t an option either, they wouldn’t even answer the phoneAll in all a pleasant experience We’d stay here again

Debbie Payne

The newly remodeled room was VERY nice Comfortable, spacious bathroom, but NO MICROWAVE Sitting area was very nice, large sofa, desk and work area

Needs a more easily accessible charging station for electronic devices Check-in lines were 30 people deep More stations should have been opened Lines did move fairly quickly and personal were efficient and personable Each employee I asked for help was helpful and friendlyWe ate lunch in Walkers Exchange I ordered a Caesar Salad for $9 I got a plate of chopped Romaine lettuce with a little cheese sprinkled on top Very disappointing and way overpriced The fried green tomatoes were excellent chicken and dumplings was lunch special Dumplings were pretty good, but no chicken and the “sauce/gravy/gruel” seemed to be only cream of chicken soup Really? If I’m paying chef meal prices, I expect above average dishes We did not get them

Close to the interstate but not close enough to get road noise, rooms are nice and have very high quality beds Staff were extremely polite and were helpful with any issue we had (Primarily an extremely minor issue with the business center) It’s beside a really nice shopping center so if you want something to do after you check in if you get there early, you can easily walk to the shops and enjoy

Breakfast & Dinner were fantastic, my only nitpick was the biscuits burnt a bit on the bottom but that’s not their fault at all, the warmer did that and there’s no way to prevent it while still keeping them warm

Scott

The staff here is exceptional! Everyone is friendly and helpful The building is modern and well laid out The room was clean and spacious

The breakfast was great with plenty of variety There are several restaurants within walking distance and lots of shopping The security detail for the shops was out all night and kept the parking lot secure

Katharine Nowlin

The staff is FANTASTIC, with exception of the super tall male manager who is an absolute jerk—we overheard him on the phone with someone providing ‘customer service’ and he told them to go book somewhere else if they didn’t like his rates…and the experience we had directly with him, he was very hands off ‘not my problem’ when we simply were inquiring about the difference in the rates quoted online vs when we checked in-it’s wasn’t a big deal we were simply just asking BUT outside of that jerk, the staff was amazing, especially the dining staff and the housekeeping staff…everyone is refreshingly friendly and seem to find joy in their jobs

The hotel was exactly like it is pictured The pool area is clean but heavily chlorinated (messes with your smell after spending much time in there) The rooms are very clean, and well stocked The breakfast was really good, typically we would eat out for all meals but this breakfast had a good selection and the quality was above standards so there was no need to search for edible food elsewhere The nightly dinner was pretty good…with as many young children staying at this hotel I had expected to see a few more options for kids other than a hot dog, but what they did have was good I would have rated the hotel a five, but that main male manager is the only reason I had to take it down to a four Would recommend staying here

From the easy and quick check in, to their standard 12pm check out time, Moxy was amazing! The first floor has everything you’d need, games, a fireplace, a gorgeous bar with fantastic drinks, and cute little taco place attached!! There’s also a clean fitness area, and a little snack/drink shop The entire hotel was clean, and felt fresh! The room was cozy, it had a great view, and walk in shower The staff were all friendly as well! 10/10 would stay here next time I’m in town!

Taylor Wisler

For me the place is 5 stars, but it comes with a couple asterisks Do you like the idea of having the check in desk being at the middle of a bar? Do you like the idea of bare concrete ceilings and funky decor (think a picture of two guys in horse masks playing ukuleles)? Do you like the restaurant option being a place called “Zombie Taco?” Do you like the idea of the elevators having walls that are chalkboards to draw on? If so, you’re going to love this place If you want a more “traditional” hotel experience this place will feel too wild for you

All that being said, it’s not like this place is odd enough to be uncomfortable, it’s just that they’re trying to be creative and unique The location is good, the rooms were comfortable and quiet (concrete floors and ceilings are not the best aesthetically in my opinion, but they do provide good sound insulation) and the service was friendly Honestly a great place, assuming you’re ok with the funky kind of atmosphere they’re going for

Brandt Callahan

The Moxy will be our Go-to whenever we stay in Louisville The staff is incredible and so kind Justin, the bartender, is cool

The vibe here is simply awesome Had we not just had dinner, we would have eaten at the zombie taco kitchen they have Heard their food is really good We will give that a try on our next visit And another plus is that it is walking distance to all things downtown

Hands Down – Best B&B!From the moment you walk in Chateau Bourbon you feel like you are home Missy and John go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need Our room was immaculate and so beautifully decorated! The bed was extremely comfortable and the soaking tub was an added bonus

The evening cocktails and three course breakfasts are out of this world! They gave wonderful recommendations for food in the area and were a wealth of knowledge regarding all the distilleries in KY We highly recommend staying here and hope to return soon!

Nina Onesti

We wanted to get away from home, but not have to drive too far so the Louisville area was ideal I found Chateau Bourbon online and was immediately sold by reading the reviews We were greeted by Missy when we arrived, had a brief tour, and got settled into our room

This B&B is unlike any that I’ve been to, and Missy & John are the ones to thank for that We were greeted every morning with smiles and THE MOST DELICIOUS breakfast, were provided with anything we needed during our stay, and had an amazing cocktail hour with dessert every evening (Missy’s banana creme pie is TO DIE FOR) I can’t say enough about Missy & John, they were hospitable, funny, and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was great We even got a golf cart tour of the neighborhood (which is also amazing!) and got to know some of the other guests (who were also a lot of fun) We will definitely be back again and highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxed and fun getaway!

The Eberles

There are great B&Bs, and then there are exquisite B&Bs Chateau Bourbon is most definitely an exquisite experience From the moment you’re greeted at the door until you say goodbye at the end of your stay, everything about Chateau Bourbon is wonderful

This was our 7th visit (we think) to Chateau Bourbon Missy and John are the most gracious hosts you can imagine Guests feel like family as soon as you arrive The happy hour each day pairs a wonderfully prepared dessert with a well-crafted bourbon cocktail Whether served on the patio or in the living room, it’s a great time for conversationThe rooms at Chateau Bourbon are gorgeous (we’ve been in all four rooms) and are roomy, comfy, and we’ll appointedBreakfasts are always amazing Three courses, starting with the house granola served with yogurt and the Chateau signature drunken cherries Second course is a savory breakfast item, followed by the third course which is the sweet item, accompanied by the house bourbon butter maple syrup We’ve never had a breakfast we didn’t rave aboutSpending a day walking through the Norton Commons neighborhood is like a throwback to an earlier time The homes are gorgeous, and there is plenty of places for shopping and dining, all within walking distanceChateau Bourbon has become a regular stop for us, and we’ll keep coming back because it’s like our home away from home

I don’t have many complaints about my stay or service my room was clean upon arrival my towels fresh plenty of parking and I liked the breakfast I did find that my pull out bed was broken and there were no extra blankets for it and room service tried to rush me to check out she was very rude kept coming back 2 hours before checkout She never cleaned my room during my stay but wanted to rush me out The other things I think need improvement are the carpets in the halls and the pool

I chose not to use it because it’s small and looked cloudy An update is definitely needed there but everything else was great The staff was amazing for the most part and nothing happened to my car in the lot

K W

The hotel has definitely seen better days My pillows were so flat they felt as though they had been used a million times ! The breakfast while plentiful was not tasty Something was just not right from the bacon, to the made to order omelettes, and even the oatmeal and this was expressed by everyone in my group

Much different taste than other Embassy suites I’ve visited The staff and everyone was nice but hotel needs a bit more renovations and updating Indoor pool is small and stayed crowded so I did not use

Brittany Kennedy

This is my 2nd time starting at this particular location It’s always clean and the staff has always had great customer service The manager went out of his way to help with our booking

And don’t let me forget the breakfast It was amazing once again We have not been disappointed yet I recommend the stay and we will definitely be staying again in the future

Seelbach Hotel was a beautiful hotel with great history in a great spot in Louisville within a 10 minute drive of everything you want to see in the city except Churchill Downs which is a few minutes further While it was nice, there were a few things that will prevent me from returning and staying there again1) Parking is not free

Not a huge deal, but for the price you pay, parking should be included for guests2) Lack of house maid service I don’t need my room cleaned everyday but I stayed there 4 nights and never received it Heck, they could have at least emptied my trash cans and checked toiletries at the minimum Even on a day where I request maid service early and they said they would have them stop by, I did not get it3) Shower was gross and did not drain4) No Water in the rooms They have a cooler by the front desk and they charge you for them, but what is funny is you can ask them for water and they will give you some for free So when I grabbed a water, why didn’t you let me know as a guest in your hotel that they have free waters for guests?I was just disappointed in the service I got for the price I paid

Ryan Brothers

The building is beautiful, and old but well maintained and allergy friendly The bathroom in our room was tiny, but functional We told the front desk about my feather allergy and they made sure the room was cleaned, aired out, and the filter for the AC unit was swapped before our stay

While we were there it was difficult to get the attention of the front staff sometimes The phone key system needs to be more fluid It’s cool, and means you don’t have to have a physical key from the hotel, but it is just not there yet The physical key we had was much easier to use during our stayI would stay at this hotel again if I was in the area

Jerry Wukawitz

I stayed 4 nights during a National Volleyball Tournament (4/7/22 – 4/11/22) The room was spacious and well maintained for being an older hotel Everyone on staff was very polite and accommodating, and made sure everything was going well during the entire stay

Housekeeping also did an excellent job freshening up the room on a daily basisSaturday night, we did a “history of the hotel” tour with hotel security supervisor, Patrick He brought us to many “behind the scenes” areas and rooms of the hotel The Rathskeller room in the basement was one of the coolest rooms I’ve ever seen, and the stories of all the historical key players that have ties to it were amazing Never saw the ghosts who are claimed to haunt the hotel, but I was always looking! Very intriguing!Old Seelbach Bar was fantastic! Every kind of bourbon you could think of! It was an awesome ambience and service was excellent Several parents from our team came downtown to hang out and I brought them to the Old Seelbach Bar between venues were were visiting Their experience in the bar and the front lobby was enough to get their interest to stay there in the futureSpecial THANK YOU to: Alicia, Camrann & Patrick from hotel staff and Virginia & David from bell/valet service for being so kind and making my experience the best it could be! I will be back!

I had such a wonderful stay here! From the kind valets that greeted us outside, our quick and friendly check-in with Emily, our room, dinner, and everything in-between! Our room (Luxury King) was very clean and spacious Comfortable beds and great amenities Our dinner at Proof was delicious and our server Austin was so sweet and knowledgeable

We had waters delivered by the sweetest night auditor as well! Just a flawless stay and wonderful location!

This place is wonderful! Well appointed rooms, welcoming lobby, great restaurant! What makes this place stand out for me is the staff You will not find a more welcoming, genuine, and friendly staff ANYWHERE!!!! Every staff member seems to love being there The doormen are OUTSTANDING! We will absolutely be back to stay here again! If you stay elsewhere in downtown Louisville you are missing out! Also pet friendly for only $40! A lot of other hotels charge over $100 for a pet fee

This place is the best!

Kevinh Nguyen

Disclaimer: I did not stay in the rooms rather I visited the art exhibit From a visitor from mid-west Kansas, it was a sort of fascinating, yet demeaning experience overall But that’s for the good

The artwork displayed were so intricate that at first-glance you could not decipher any meaning nor derive any pleasure looking at them This exhibit is not to showcase art to please your senses, rather the art is there to showcase the artist’s feelings about the world If this doesn’t sound like your art exhibit that is perfectly fine, art is not supposed to please everyoneI struggled for a long time to decipher what I should extract from each art piece and I frequently had to consult the descriptions located besides each piece I felt hopeless at times but it’s never wrong to ask for help, and heck if it’s just some black and white paint, that can be art in itselfMy only grip is that the merch at the exhibit was very pricey but very understandable I wish they just had mini red penguins so I can bring one to my sister for a price that doesn’t empty my wallet

We spent 8 nights at the Aloft Louisville East this past week The room and building were very clean and well appointed We got a great price compared to other hotels in the area, and the hotel is very well located near a lot of shopping and expressways

I only had a few minor issues, but they were small enough to not detract from my giving them 5 stars The minor issues I had were first that the water pressure in the shower is basically non existent It felt like someone was holding a plastic bag with a few holes in it over your head At first I thought this might just be an issue with my room, but we had family staying in another room and their shower’s pressure was the same The second (again very minor) issue was that you have to go to the lobby to find a garbage can So if you have pizza boxes, etc that you don’t want in your room, you have to go to the lobby to dispose of them There are no garbage cans on the room floors Neither of these things were deal breakers for us, and we enjoyed our stay If we had the need, we would stay here again if the price continues to be reasonable

My daughter and I stayed 2 nights at Aloft Louisville East The location is perfect Right off the bypass and Westport Rd

You have everything you need close by Plus, easy to get into the city too Service was great, but we don’t need much Their snacks in the lobby are overpriced, but it’s a hotel My only gripethe pocket door that separates the toilet and shower from the vanity was hard to pull close It was binding Room number 435 Also, the comforters are light I just prefer a heavier comforter Beds are very comfortable I love the decor It’s fun and different

Great hotel, super clean, friendly staff, accommodatingNeeds:Basic microwave in all roomsIce machine on main floorBad:If you are work nights or get in late, the North West rooms stay away from, it’s close to the freeway on ramp and you can practically hear every vehicle as it climaxes it’s motor and grabs another gear to get onto the freeway Sounds like window is open It’s loud

Highly recommend the opposite side of the building

This has been the absolute best hotel experience I’ve ever had and I’ve spent a lot of time in them Staff goes above and beyond to make your stay fantastic Hotel is very clean

The best is that they don’t make us smokers feel like second class citizens!!! They have lots of outdoor space with plenty of ashtrays! I cannot stand it when a hotel says I can’t smoke in my room but doesn’t offer me a place to put my cigarettes outside I try my very best to be a respectable smoker but if you don’t give me an ashtray on your grounds they go Not Residence in!! They have thought of everything! Even basketball and Cornhole Will definitely be my go to hotel from now on

Hotel wasn’t bad at all and very convenient to the convention center across the street Service was great and friendly, the facility was nice, but it failed in a couple of key areasPrimarily it was the bed/bedding

It was adequate but the comforter only seemed to cover half the bed and everything was very lightweight Air conditioner and ambient noise were a bit too loud with random noises occurring all the time Bathroom was a bit cramped too but I ended up with a corner room so it may have been the layout They are still in covid mode and only clean the room every 4 days which is disappointing for a higher end hotelThe room also isn’t set up well for business travel with no real desk space I had to work off a couch and table and run my power cord from the wallService was good and they have an attached parking garage with Valet The hotel restaurant was uninspiring and generously 2 stars for breakfast You’re probably better off getting a sandwich at the StarbucksOverall I prioritize my rest over anything else at a hotel so I’m not sure I’d stay here again

Victor Neugebauer

Very big and spacious hotel, which is exactly what can be said about the rooms as well!Very clean, very spacious and comfortable Great for in-room workout routines or anything else that might require spaceThe staff is very friendly and accommodating, the connected Starbucks is trash, but I’ve got a separate review explaining why you shouldn’t get your coffee there

Other than that, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is medium sized The shower is ok With the standard that this hotel set in all other categories I would’ve expected a bit more But ultimately it’s still a good shower!

Kory

Stayed 3 nights here and, overall, it wasn’t bad I used the hotel’s valet parking, and something was stolen from my vehicle So either valet didn’t lock the vehicle, or one of them is the thief

Front desk staff were friendly They told me during check in that housekeeping would be upon request only, which wasn’t a big dealThe room was nice, but there were a lot of stains on the floor and bedding There was a refrigerator in the room, a large TV, couch, chair, table, nice bathroom and shower, and a great AC system that kept me cool during the 100°+ heatwave that was moving through the areaIf I were to return to Louisville I’d probably stay here again, but I will not be using their valet service**UPDATE**Just found out they charged me for an extra night So if you check out early, don’t use the express check out as apparently they don’t check the key drop box regularly

Great place to stop on any vacation or trip The room is very clean and the design is great There are also lots of sockets which allow you to plug in your devices while sitting almost anywhere in the room

I was pleasantly surprised by the fitness center while not very big, had enough equipment to assist an at home work out (mainly free weights) The breakfast was what you would expect, but still very good

Jamie Campisano

The location of this property is excellent whereas you have major routes to take you in any direction There are several restaurant locations nearby along with other shopping The staff was extremely helpful and attentive

The breakfast and “happy hour’ selections were wonderful The room was comfortable other than the baby toilet and shower doors that don’t close and stay closed properly which i am finding to be the hallmark of the Hilton chain

Gina James

This is a very nice hotel for extended stays Very well kept secret, indeed It’s close to many eateries and major highways

Any store you need is less than 5 miles away Right off of Shelbyville Road though away from the heavy traffic near the mall area Rooms look to be newly remodeled with just the right vibe and trend Very easy to feel comfy and convenient Very clean and quiet space You will fall in love with the staff who care very much about your stay and comfort- it was surprising There was a small issue after check-in and they fixed it effortlessly right away I stay with the Hilton brand quite often as I travel for work This is by far the best Homewood Suites that I have visited I frequent the area several times a year, but will often book with the Residence Inn up the street I will start to consider this hotel instead Thanks for all you do

I wanted to post a view management might be surprised to read During our stay we had a major problem It was late at night and the hotel was not able to address the concern in full that late at night

We had a rough start to our trip and unfortunately it was due to a situation that could have been avoidedMy comment is in relation to how the hotel management responded the very next day We determined that this location was not a good fit for us but valued the Marriott name and trusted that they would correct the situation They did In fact the manager did compensate us for our first night and then found alternative accommodations within the Marriott system where we received a major room upgradeAs a manager, I know that sometimes your establishment does not opposite to the standards you adhere to I was impressed with management going above and beyond to correct the issue for the remainder of our stay Thank you so much

Their google photos show a hot tub and full breakfast plates, and I think some of their online descriptions are incorrect They don’t have a spa/hot tub or free breakfast The manager (I am assuming) told me that they filled in their spa with cement because they are “filthy like a toilet”

Great Not sure what her implication was, either Marriott or this franchise in particular couldn’t keep things up to health code, or she was implying I want to do something gross, like swim in a toilet I am sure someone told her to say that, so that people don’t get mad about there not being a spa Stop saying that to your guests The room was ok clean And I would’ve stayed somewhere else with free breakfast if I had known they didn’t have it Spend the extra $50 and stay somewhere nicer

Must be trying to catch up after COVID One night there on the way through Room was clean but no wash cloths

Some wear and tear around the place: carpets, dings, etc The most interesting was the Bistro for breakfast Looking at menu and I was told, “We only have one sandwich” Okay, I’ll take two “That will take 20 minutes” Okay, can I have a latte? “No, we only have brewed coffee and only one type” Okay, I’ll take a large coffee with the two sandwiches for my wife and I “Sorry, we only have one size cup” Do you have half-and-half? “Wait here I have to go to another room and open a box to get that” This is no joke This conversation happened 25 minutes later and $20 later I leave with two overcooked sandwiches and a small/medium coffee At least the cup had a sleeve built in and the lid was firmly sealed Nice cup So, if you’re counting on the Bistro for breakfast, just keep moving on to another Marriott I’m a Very frequent Marriott guest There are better ones in the area until they get back to some sort of getting operations back to what’s expected at a Courtyard
