–UPDATE–I’m adding a star from my original (2 star) review I was contacted by management several days after my stay (and subsequent feedback) Although it doesn’t change how I feel about the experience itself, it does reflect well on the Sleep Inn brand

As I said in my original review, all of the staff we interacted with were incredibly friendly and I think this is yet another example of that I still wouldn’t recommend staying in the pet-friendly rooms until they make a serious change to the carpets & furniture However, if you don’t need a pet-friendly room then I think this a superb choice for a stay in Bismarck–ORIGINAL REVIEW–I’ll start with the positives:1 LocationThe location is great Right off the interstate No more than a 10 minute drive to anything you could possibly need during your stay2 StaffOur stay was short, but the staff we interacted with were all very friendlyNow the reason for 2 stars?I’ve stayed in a number of pet-friendly rooms with my dog I have NEVER stayed in a room that smelt so terrible It was the most pungent smell of wet/dirty dog I’ve ever come across in a pet-friendly room It was nearly unbearable I even went to the store to buy anything I could think of that might make the smell a little more tolerable It was awful It was so bad that if you had the door open you could smell the room from down the hallway The carpet should be replaced and all of the furniture thrown outIt’s unfortunate because I think our stay would have been a five star stay had the room not smelt so bad The rest of the hotel was nice and clean and I’m sure the other rooms were However, ours was foul smelling and that definitely ruined our experience I would not recommend staying at this hotel IF you need a pet friendly room Otherwise, I think it’s a great spot

Check-In was quick and in no time, I was in my room The King Room was large, clean and well attended The bed was well made and very comfortable I enjoyed a quiet stay with no road or outside noise The Wi-Fi was strong, quick and worked well during my stay This hotel features a large, well lit parking lot that can accommodate a large number of hotel guests While this hotel was clean, and very comfortable, the employees go out of their way to make you feel welcome and ensure that you have a wonderful and enjoy stay This Sleep Inn is an excellent hotel, and I would not hesitate staying here again

Our room was quite clean, comfortable, hotel just feels nicer than most of the ones in Bismarck too Don’t see dirt in the corners of the lobby or anything like that Front staff was happy and helpful

I’d definitely stay here again but I often have my pupper, and they do not accept pets Witch probably contributes to the cleanliness and the desire to keep it that way Side note, I love when hotels accept pets but they always seem to start caring less and less, as time goes, about keeping things clean

I was so hesitant when I arrived here, it just felt too small but after few days I changed my mind completely The staff are beyond nice and professional, every single one of them, from kitchen lady to David the supervisor and the general managers Everyone is just so nice and welcoming

The only downside is the WiFi service in the rooms is almost impossible to stay connected via phone and impossible to connect via laptop Breakfast was just standard inn food, I stayed there for 3 months and I haven’t witnessed any major change in food I like the area, surrounded by bunch of restaurants and markets Overall I had a great experience and will definitely comeback Thank you staff

I’ve stayed here many times over the past several years The quality of stay has been consistently excellent The staff has always been helpful and friendly without being patronizing or bothersome

They were there when I needed them, but not underfoot every time I moved The rooms are always clean The bedding is always fresh They don’t provide daily room service but it was never needed to begin with for short term stays There are more than enough supplies for a family of four for one evening If any room service is needed, you just ask and they take care of it The small refrigerator and microwave are taken care of and clean Everything works! The breakfast is always decent with plenty of variety There’s a reason I keep coming back when I’m in town

Stacy had the meeting room all setup and provided more extension cords when needed They also went out of their way to decorate our hotel room on the night of our Wedding! They treat you more than another guest here The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfy!

Took the cushions off the sofa and found cheetos and other food crumbs Pulled the bed out and found stains Reported to the front desk and was asked if I needed to use the sofa bed Then offered a room with 2 queen size beds and use of the hot tub in the dirty room or use of the hot tub in the public area after hours 12 am Upon checking out we were told we had been given a discount It appears to be 45 dollars off We were moved to a lesser cost room so that is appropriate the room was smaller and not what we had reserved

The room is really nice, beds are firm with soft fluffy linen, which gave me a great night’s rest every night The shower ran out of hot water during my midmorning shower on a Sunday which I note because I like longer showers

the room was clean, and the refrigerator was a nice thing for beverages and left overs to enjoy during the stay The pool area was clean and the jacuzzi was a nice temperature, I like it hot, so I was pleased it was shared later by a couple and their two year old (I am guessing the age) but the child did not seem to mind the temperature so not too hot for kids is my point they have a restaurant with alcohol, but we did not eat or drink here nice lounge area with a gas fireplace overall a nice place to stay!

My wife and I thought we booked one of the nicest places in town after doing our research There are two things that brought my rating down the first was my first experience at this place The lady that checked us in found our reservation but told me she didn’t have a room for me! After going the rounds with her for over an hour all of the sudden she found her mistake and we got our room just to be told the hot tub was out of order until march 2022

Otherwise it was a great stay great breakfast options nice room and a warm pool Other staff was amazing!

Customer service is very hard to find these days and the Manager at this motel went above and beyond! We were in a blizzard and I was unable to get home so I pulled in and she was so kind and welcoming They have great amenities evening and morning, nice clean rooms and free laundry services! Staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was decent, the pool and hot tub were great, our room was nice and also very clean I was happy that there was an actually comforter on the bed You don’t usually find that in hotel rooms

We like the pool but the paint on the walls are cracking and peeling I think they need to put tile or something else on the walls Our bathroom was clean but the drain in the shower is missing its cover and should be replaced Also I have to say we thought the bed was very comfy! Overall we enjoyed it and had a great experience

Giving this 4 star because of the pool The hotel seems new, clean, and well kept, staff is good The pool and hot tub on their own are fine

But they both seem to have too much chlorine, and the hot tub is a bit too hot That combined with improper ventilation, makes it like a sauna in there The high chlorine left out eyes burning a bit These conditions are also leading to very accelerated wear to the walls, and anything metal getting rustyUpdated this to 5 star after we had the breakfast(food was fresh, and had a large variety), and comparing it to other hotels, I think this is a good value

UNBELIEVABLE STAFF: I could not recommend this hotel more if I tried The staff here are absolute experts in the customer service and hospitality industry; if more employees were trained to mimic the golden standard these ladies set, customers would leave happy from any hotel I wish I remembered all their names, but a thank you to Jillian and her coworker who welcomed me in late 3/20/22 night and to Betty who took charge in ensuring my stay was as comfortable as possible

Even the girls setting up the food made an effort to interact with you and offer what they could to meet your needsFREE BREAKFAST: When there was a part of my room that I felt could have been cleaned better, the front desk immediately sent someone over that day and left the area spotless They offer complimentary breakfast each morning and dinner during the week of my stay I wish there were healthy, natural foods offered Perhaps varying the fruit option to be more than just apples would be a quick fix for those with similar diets that missed out on enjoying this perkAMENITIES: Gym available, pool, and hot tub Never overcrowded Thank you to the staff who went out of their way to make my business trip into a vacationLOCATION: Walmart is right next door, and it is only a 10-15 min drive to get to Mandan or Bismarck Perfectly situated to save you time to hit snooze in the morningWOW! This was one of the finest Hampton Inns I have stayed at across the country, throughout the years I’ve been a Hilton Honors member I especially appreciated Mary and the rest of the staff for being so warm and welcoming, and accommodating during the week I stayed in Bismarck The complimentary breakfast was one of the best and I have had many different Hampton Inn breakfasts from Florida, Tennessee, and Illinois to Colorado and the Dakotas

It’s obvious when you stay here in North Dakota that they try to go above and beyond the usual Hampton Inn experience I’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this location It was quiet and the location was great, with lots of restaurants, shopping, and medical facilities close by You can’t go wrong booking your stay here

This was THE Worst Hotel Experience in my entire life I’ve stayed at over 25 different hotels in my life, but nothing compares to this Me, My Son and my Wife were going to go to bed at 10:30 and try to be well rested for all of the running around the next day

What we didn’t expect was for there to be people running back in forth in their hotel room, jumping up and down, jumping on their bed, jumping off their bed, and stomping around for 2 HOURS STRAIGHT We went to complain to the hotel after an hour and a half but absolutely nothing happened So this time we went after another 45 minutes and the staff did NOTHING We ended up with zero minutes of sleep, a terrible next day, and when we went to demand a refund they said they could only do 50$ Which is RIDICULOUS 2 Weeks Later, My credit card gets charged THE FULL PRICE I am NEVER staying at another Hampton Inn and I recommend anywhere but this place

The bathroom shower had mold along the tub and handle When we walked into the room there was a putrid smell blasted in your face No one came to clean our room

The front desk lady was really nice and she’s the only reason I didn’t give a one star There was a bikini top in the closet making it clear it was not cleaned The pool area is great except every time I would go down there would be at least one person to fall on the floor Would recommend if you don’t have a better option for a hotel

Rooms were very dirty Mold in tub Pool area was unenjoyable due to overcrowding, rowdy guests, nobody watching their children, and the pool was in desperate need of a cleaning

Front desk notified of rowdy guests with alcohol in pool area, nobody even came to check it out so no resolution There were people punching each other Children were climbing up the waterslide while people were going down, which did result in a bloody nose Very disappointed

Nice Rooms, great kitchenette suites! Good pool area with 2x separated pools and each has its own slide! Also a separate shallow kid pool and a hot tub as well! (essentially 3x pools) the kid pool area has a small slide and a waterfall area to play around as well! Good side rooms for meetings or family gatherings with less cleanup to deal with at home!!
