Stayed here on a business trip Came in late at night got up to my room and the AC was not working Called the front desk and the clerk said there were no other rooms to switch me too, and the night auditor would be clocking in, in 30 minutes then would be up to look at it

No one ever came to check the AC When checking out I informed the front desk clerk of the situation and was informed I was supposed to call to tell him it wasn’t working and there was miscommunication between him and the other clerk He was very rude as was the other clerk I have grown up my entire life going to Marriott hotels, and will not be booking at this location again Customer service is a must when in the hotel and hospitality industry It takes a lot for me to leave a bad review on anything but this was horrible! No one wants to drive 5 hours to sleep in hot room

I gave this a one because the front desk gal was nasty and racist I say this because I came in and asked if they have vacancies because according to online they did and when I went in she told me that there was no vacancies but then there’s a couple that came in behind me that did not have a reservation the same as I but she told them that she had room so I thought that that was really unfair and nasty so I don’t think that I would ever stay at one of or again at this hotel and I really think that they need to address this front desk staff and give her some more training on diversity and being a good customer service rep for this company

Rooms were decently kept, the box spring liner was dirty as were the curtains As well as the chair for our desk being sticky and rippedThe pool was murky as was the hot tub, which was almost brown, the bubbles broken, and had weird sediment on the bottom

Kids were incredibly loud and unruly the whole time the pool was open which wouldn’t be an issue but we were right beside the pool which is in the center of the hotel But with spring break I’m not surprised The bathroom floors were INSANELY slippery and both my partner and I almost ate it multiple times As well as there being no towel racks anywhereThe weights room was humid, dirty, and all the equipment was broken beyond use, the weights racks cord was snapped, none of the touch screens worked But the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful the entire stay I’m grateful at least for that All in all not an awful stay by any means just disappointing

The hotel was clean, but very dated Hot water trickled out of the sink tap, key card would not allow access back in after walking my dog It is pet friendly (major plus and why I gave it two stars) and has an indoor pool and hot tub (both sparkling)

No free breakfast and the (free) lobby coffee was weak This would have been the place to stay, 40+ years ago, but not today

I’ve read the comments from past visitors and although I saw some negative comments, I decided to be open minded when checking in to this place Although the parking lot area may still need some refurbishing I was pleasantly impressed with the experience we had The manager who checked us in was very courteous, informative and kind to upgrade our room (we didn’t ask for)

The room is spacious, with nice and clean bathroom (good shower water pressure and temp), has all amenities including bottled water in the room, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, etc Oh, it also came with a sofa-bed, too The hotel also has an indoor swimming pool in the middle of the building (Atrium), surrounded by hotel rooms (up to 3 levels) facing the pool, and has a restaurant / bar also by the Atrium There’s also free coffee and water in the lobby area near the computers/business center Good strategic location as well (not far from main intersection of Fort Riley Blvd) and we also found a nice trail nearby (Linear Trail) and had a really nice walk thru the woods and over a couple of creeks Definitely enjoyed our weekend stay (we were attending our daughter’s best friend’s wedding)

The Travelers Rest Bed and Breakfast is in a beautiful custom built home It sits on a large property and is completely surrounded by trees and bushes, which gives it a very secluded feel One sees rabbits, squirrels, and the occasional deer in the yard

The neighborhood is quiet and one can sit outside, drink coffee, and converse quietly with little or no traffic noise Currently the two rooms available are down a flight of stairs and are not handicapped accessible, but plans are in the works to add a third room which will be designed with the handicapped in mind The main floor is airy and spacious The owners are a delightful couple, who make every effort to satisfy their customers The breakfasts were more than ample and delicious Both of the current bedrooms are sizeable and the beds comfortable The towels would do justice to a top of the line hotel I would recommend the Travelers Rest to anyone visiting in Manhattan, KS

We stayed here for a night while my cat had surgery at K State It was a very stressful, emotional time the coziness of this adorable B&B and friendliness of the hosts definitely helped make things a little easier Their property is absolutely beautiful, with lots of books and a relaxing porch to sit and relax with a snack or tea before bed

We loved so many of the little tastefully displayed things about the Netherlands and tulips And how could I not mention the chickens! Cute, curious, friendly chickens who have their own little residence in the B&B’s back yardWe stayed in the Peters room; it is bright, airy and spacious With both of us and our bags, we felt comfortable and not at all cramped Easy to adjust temperature, and extra blankets, a fan space heater were available Everything is tidy and ready with basic amenities; much better than staying in a hotel for about the same price (I say this as an accountant for a hotel!)We will absolutely return again, for fun and leisure this next time! Definitely give this little B&B a try, it is a lovely place to stay and the hosts Dawn and Phil are so nice!

This place is perfect for anyone looking for a place to stay in Manhattan The house was built in 1910 but renovated completely by the current owners They make you feel very welcome and definitely take care of you! Absolutely horrible The first night the room I was in had bugs, thank good not bed bugs but still bugs, knats and other weird flying bugs, and the night staff refused to change my room In the morning I did change rooms

The second and final day, my check was for 2pm They locked me out at noon The clean staff was looking through my belongs when I finally got back into my room The desk lady then harassed me while I changed and packed my things The internet was horrible, breakfast was not suitable for my dogs much less a human Wosrt place ever!!!!

In Manhattan, KS off the loop and Fort Riley Blvd is easy to find Hotel is in a small shopping square There is a bake shop and wine store in square

We had a queen room Beds were comfortable, room was clean, bathroom clean Our room had a tub/shower with shamppo, conditioner, and body wash by Jr Watkins Water was hot but not much pressure We left before breakfast Check in and check out was easy and both ladies were very nice Would stay here again since there are things to do in Manhattan

I have stayed at a number of Holiday Inns hotels, but this one really missed the mark Overall, just dirty Pool area was especially gross and never any towels

The breakfast at these hotels are pretty standard, but even that was not prepared well I would not recommend staying at this hotel The other hotels in the immediate area are probably better

I have nothing but great things to say about my experience at this hotel! We recently completed a road trip from Georgia to Colorado and back and out of the 4 hotels we stayed at – a Candlewood in Nashville, a Holiday Inn Express in Olathe, KS, a Kimpton in Nashville, and this hotel, this hotel was by far my favorite (and Kimptons are expensive 4 star hotels)Here’s a few things I loved about this hotel:1) It is pet friendly with just a $25 pet fee It’s very easy to get in and out of the hotel entrances via stairs or main entrance, making it great for traveling with furry friends

There’s also a large lawn behind the hotel that was freshly cut! There is also a walking trail nearby but we didn’t use it2) It is incredibly clean The shower was spotless, bed was comfy, room was huge, and it even smelled amazing in the hallways3) The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I’ve had in years I know they all serve the same food at Holiday Inn Express, but the biscuits and gravy were better than some restaurants and the cinnamon rolls were perfect Everything was super hot and the area was kept clean and stocked by an attendant4) The A/C worked great Of all the hotels we stayed at, this A/C was able to get super low (like 62) and ran all night with no noise We love sleeping cold so this was a real treat5) The area in general is really nice It’s in the town center or something so there’s a few shops nearby and it’s just landscaped really well and I felt very safe here It is next to a main road but it was very quiet inside the roomI don’t know if I’ll ever be in Manhattan, KS again but if I am, I will definitely stay here and you should too!
