Room was clean at arrival Pool area clean Hotel staff was courteous

Missing a star for breakfast & room cleaning service No room cleaning service was provided and I wasn’t told up front that I would have to request it (apparently) Also, I chose this hotel because it serves breakfast and we’re able to cut costs a bit However, breakfast was just ok Biscuits were overcooked both days, pancake machine down and no eggs by 8:30 the second morning But overall a nice stay

Brian Ward

Second time staying here Possibly the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in The staff was wonderful

Didn’t try breakfast yet With Aldi directly across the street, and a fridge in the room, I had plenty of real food to eat Love the complimentary body wash/shampoo/conditioner & small bar of Dove soap for the sink, and the super quick coffee device is perfect Hot water and a variety of tea bags are available in the lobby 24/7

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel Location on the outskirts of Greenville was great for my purposes Many places to get fast food were nearby

The parking lot is well laid out and has wonderful lighting Reception area is spacious Staff courteous and efficient All parts of hotel that I visited were clean Room was spotlessOnly negative I noticed was getting in and out onto the highway was a bit stressful as there is no traffic light Take your time

The TV did not have a brightness control, the picture was very dark and hard to see The shower did not have very much pressure, plus the drain was extremely slow in draining the tub I was using digital access to our room but my wife prefers the to have a key card, I tried a couple times to get the key card and the digital access to work but evidently it takes one or the other but you can’t use both

The front desk personnel and the person maintaining the breakfast area were outstanding, courteous and professional

Myriah Longhenry

Stayed here for a good two weeks while moving to the area and it was very comfortable They have free washers and dryers on site for guests to use and an open gym Only thing I might fined wrong is that they give each room a small induction hot Plate to use with a very small pan that only works with that pan and nothing else, so if you need to cook anything outside of a microwave in your room bring your own griddle or burner

Cole Evans

When the airline cancelled my flight with less than two hours to boarding and no way to get home until tomorrow, I ended up getting a room here overnight The front desk manager, Jocie, “the guy with the bow tie,” was incredibly sweet and accommodating and went above and beyond to make me feel at home and taken care of, despite being displaced by the airline for the night He called me by name every time he saw me, and hooked me up with free waters for my room, and laundry detergent to wash clothes so I would have something to wear

It wasn’t just me he treated like that, every person I saw him interact with was taken great care of! I wish every hotel treated their guests like this!

The room and hotel itself is great I would give 5 stars but the indoor swimming pool is being used for swimming lessons taught by 3 women This takes up over 3/4 of the room in the pool

People are bringing there children to the door that leads outside and one of the women open the door for them to access it I’m sorry but we paid almost $160 for our stay and we can’t even get in the pool will our children because there is no room

Kara Mac

Booked a 2 night stay and had to cancel 9 days later I’m fighting for a refund, the hotel states I wasn’t charged My bank account statement clearly shows I was

IHG isn’t doing anything because they can’t refund me the money The fight is on to get my money back, it shouldn’t have to be this way or this hard Nice bonus check they got at my expense (for now), game on!! I have the bank statement, this hotel will lose I’m done with IHG and Holiday Inn

Danielle Hernandez

The hotel was clean, and comfortable, but it can be extremely hard to get into on busy days They do have a deposit fee of $25 a night We stayed for 2 night so that was $50

Perfectly fine, but when we got up the first morning (Saturday) there was a additional charge of $90!! When I called to ask they had no clue why I was charged and said they would have the manager contact me So we went out (it was my husband’s birthday) when we returned I stopped by the front desk and the guy told me he’d refund my money I said that was fine and told him thank you The following morning (Sunday) we got up with ANOTHER $90 charge!!! At this point I’m irritated, so I go to hand in the keys to check out and talk to the lady at the desk who yet again told me she couldn’t tell me why they had charged me another $90 Now I’m waiting on a $239 refund and very unhappy with this whole experience The hotel was nice, but this is a mess and I probably won’t go back

Manager HP is a hard worker and pitches in to make sure everything is done well I also corresponded with Michelle (front desk) numerous times as I booked 15 rooms last December for a wedding party All my interactions with everyone at this hotel were exceptional

They were very much committed to making sure our entire wedding party was satisfied Super friendly and helpful people Highly recommend!

Hy N-R-G

JGC Travel highly recommends this place if you’re visiting the area The hotel has been up and open for about 4 years, from what I was told, and the freshness definitely showed The room we had was clean, spacious, and comfortable

Except for our bed sheets To someone not paying attention to details, they appeared perfectly clean but they needed changing, which was promptly taken care of The bathroom was a decent size too with a roomy shower and plenty of towels, cloths, and soaps They did a great job with making sure the room is truly dark when you close the blinds and turn everything off Perfect for sleeping with that excellent mattress and fluffy pillows Lots of desk and closet space too The fridge was a good typical hotel size but the microwave could have been a tad bigger It got the job done thoughThe space for breakfast wasn’t very big but it was serviceable The gym was a decent size with a handful of treadmills and plenty of free weights The pool wasn’t very big but, again, serviceableStaff was very pleasant and ready to help if and when needed I appreciated the recognition of my platinum membership, as not every location does it (although most do)The location was really good A Cracker Barrel was located directly across the street, a Raceway gas station was adjacent to the hotel, and there were other places to eat very close by The hotel is also located right off the highwayIHG did not disappoint with this location I will certainly look to this place again next time I am in the area

David R

I paid $136 I’d flown in overnight, was exhausted Bed was really comfortable, good selection of pillows and I was able to find one I liked

Window coverings blocked out nearly all the daylight so I was able to get to sleep during the day I did not hear any noise from the road, hallway, or next room Really grateful for being able to get some good rest The breakfast is the standard holiday inn breakfast, it’s pretty basic and not good, but no different than any other holiday inn Room was very clean Shampoo dispenser in the shower was empty

Had a good one night stay here in early February, but have stayed here several times before I prefer this Holiday Inn Express in the Greenville area during the winter since it is close to the Pavilion Recreation Complex for hockey games and it has an indoor pool I prefer a whirlpool also, which they don’t have, but considering that the pool temperature was about 80 deg F we enjoyed the pool very much

Breakfast was good and well stocked Only issue we had during our stay was that our key cards had to be redone shortly after we checked in since they stopped functioning

Best breakfast, super clean, can’t beat the price Tito at the front desk is super helpful and friendly I always stay here while in town for work

Edit: Everyone at the front desk is very helpful and friendly!

The hotel staff was exceptionally delightful! They got us checked in fast, recommended some great dining options and even replaced feathered pillows with synthetic as soon as we checked in and we’re very friendlyThe hotel itself… they need mold remediation and a new engineer The moment we stepped into our room the musky stale smell of mold hit us in the face

It appears that water leaked from the AC above our room into ours and it was just painted over The bathroom ceiling was also covered in water spots and mold Walking down the hall to the front desk you can see where the ceiling tiles are all splotched with water stainsOur daughter is extremely allergic to mold and within 40 minutes she was already getting a scratchy throat and coughingIf you’re sensitive to mold I recommend finding an alternate hotel

Mj

My room was clean, and the staff was very friendly I was working in the airport and used the shuttle to get to and from the airport for 3 days, and every shuttle driver was great Complimentary breakfast was good

The only downfall was that the outdoor pool was so cloudy that I couldn’t see the bottom of the 3ft deep area, and the top two steps were brown from settlement

Mary Ann Cox

We needed 6 rooms reserved for a family funeral The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and were the most friendly staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting Stephanie, Rhonda and Aron were absolutely wonderful

They even brought in an extra lamp in my Uncle’s room so he could see his way to the restroom during the night Thank you staff of Fairfield Inn for being a bright light during a sad time

Loved our stay at the Westin You have the historic charm but also very well maintained and clean We met Will Cain at the front desk and he was so nice and personable

Beds were comfortable and our room had a great view overlooking main street Perfect location to walk to everything we wanted to do and see We celebrated our anniversary and they sent up a tray and had written note for the occasion Southern hospitality at it’s best

Faleesha Vinson

My husband surprised me with an overnight trip and he chose this hotel! The staff was so amazing and friendly especially the concierge lady

she even sent up chocolate covered strawberries to our room as a surprise! She was amazing the night clerk was awesome too! We tried to eat at the ale house for a late night snack on our way back from being downtown but people waited over 2 hours for their food We decided to eat at the hotel instead and it was great food! Better then some we got at higher restaurants earlier in the day! Thank you to the staff for being so great!

Bay Harbor Tire Distributors

During our stay at the Westin Poinsett, the valet team was attentive, welcoming and that’s where it ended The front desk team seemed confused (details of our reservation weren’t listed, we requested a roll away bed), they repeatedly said the hotel was completely booked giving the impression of frustration, and asked if we wanted our room cleaned daily?! The king size room needs updating (as does the hotel), was small and uncomfortable, especially the bathroom consisting of a tub shower (not walk-in), where a tub handle is located near the comically large rain show head, and a single sink After bruising elbows and hips-we had to take “sideways” showers

Location in Greenville is fantastic but cannot recommend

Suites are very spacious and nice Allowed for me (an early riser) to get up and have coffee, check email, watch TV, etc without disturbing partner sleeping in the other room

Hotel was nice and in a good location Check in and Check out procedures were efficient and easy The two big screen TVs were nice Good value for the money Reasons I rated it lower: Bathroom needs updating For example the toilets are so low I felt like I was back in elementary school Water pressure in shower was too low Living area: Sofa needs cleaning All sorts of mysterious stains on sofa Overall, a good experience I would stay here again

Dan Kochenderfer

I’ll start with the negatives

The shower water pressure wasn’t great, but I believe it would be as simple as a different shower head, one that allows you adjust the stream Other then that, let’s move onto the positivesGreat location on the river, we had a room on the 7th floor with a city/river view The room was spacious for the 5 of us, and clean I liked that you needed a hotel key card to access your floor The staff was super friendly and professional The breakfast buffet was one of the better we’ve had compared to some other Hilton’s And the breakfast room has fantastic views We would definitely stay here again

We were exploring Traveler’s Rest and made our way to Greenville, SC for the night Clemson was having their graduation so the city hotels were pretty much booked up Hampton inn recommended their sister hotel Embassy suites so we popped up in the evening and booked it on the spot

It was very easy & we were pleased with Shanita, she took good careWe were also delighted with the spacious suite and the beds are very comfortable It felt good after a very long day on the road in trafficThe only complaint I have is the flat roof nearby had some kind of fan on it or maybe I was near the air conditioning unit but there was a rather loud humming sound all night long So I couldn’t really sleep In the morning when we came down for breakfast I stopped by the front desk to mention the noise but honestly the young man didn’t seem too concerned I did ask him to write the room number down and ask maintenance to check it outI also called Hilton Honors to share this feedbackMy husband says he also suggests breakfast last until at least 10 amHe enjoyed the unique omelet that was prepared for himOverall, a nice hotel that is perched over looking the Reedy River FallsIncredible location!Make sure you go up to Up on the Roof bar The view is spectacular!

A lot of maintenance repairs needed to be done in the room but overall the staff was nice at night time but as far as in the morning they were not I am almost a diamond member and I was told I was supposed to get a late check out and I don’t mean at 11:30 I spend a lot of money with this company and it’s been issue after issue this past year I don’t know what’s going on with them

I am thinking about switching to Marriott hotels!

Bethanie N

It is so sad that the COVID has been used so much for short staff and lower quality experiences in so many hospitality locationsThe room we had was mostly clean Though, I was surprised the mirror in the bedroom was so obviously smudged and dirty, and there was a used make-up wash cloth under the bathroom sink

I guess the staff was in a hurry trying to get rooms taken care ofI get that it’s an extended stay place, but the initial cleaning that happens between guests seems to be rushedMost of the staff are really friendly and kindHousekeeping does like to go overkill on the Febreeze spraying in the hallways, every day It’s so much that it’s nauseating The airflow in the rooms isn’t that great, so if you’re there long term, invest in a portable air filterThe quiet time policy seems to be lacking because almost every night there was someone in the outdoor court by the pool talking loudly and using the BBQ until really late The last night we were there, the group of dudes outside were talking loudly until around 4:30 in the morning Very frustrating, even after calling down to the front desk at 2:30 in the morningThe WiFi is awful in the parts of the building away from the front deck and lobby area The building used to be set up for wired internet, but the owners decided to get rid of it after the remodel and updates So plan on thatThe good things about this place would be the kind staff members, the guest laundry facilities, the kitchenette, the breakfast, the location, the trash bins by the elevator to empty your garbage, and you can swap out linens and towels with the front desk They do a 4th day cleaning for longer term stays, but we decided to skip it since we already swapped out sheets earlier

My husband and I came to use this hotel to spend the night while visiting family in South Carolina We really enjoyed our stay and wished we could extend it but we had to get back to Augusta, GALove the front desk courtesy and the housekeeping did an amazing job with the room

It smelled great and felt as if the sheets came out of the dryer The bed was cozy that we felt as if we couldn’t get up from it The kitchen staff were also amazing!! They stocked the hot breakfast items and cleaned up after people left for newcomers to use the tables We loved it and will come back to it when we come back into town Thank you

Denise Bryan

Not up to standard Avoid 310It was a Hilton price for a budget stay

Room 310 was noisy We had the elevator and ice machine on one side, maintenance closet behind us, and aging infrastructure around us The room has loud boiler sounds, and an aging exhaust system on the roof was evident, especially in the bathroom The shower was less than 36” wide and cramped Only feather pillows were available, and no housekeeping in our room over the course of 3 days While the people were fantastic, the infrastructure was not up to snuff After 3 noisy nights, we are looking forward to a quiet sleep at hime

P E T S Family

Our issues started at check-in with no one at the front desk Needed to call the hotel to get someone to help usWith “Do Not Disturb” on the door, housekeeping was knocking multiple times on the door in the morning

Empty hand sanitizers on all floors outside of elevatorsThe room needed some attention as wall fixtures were falling off as well as air conditioner coverManagement don’t send us a “we are sorry” note, as we had talked to 2 different staff members about our problems with no apology or appreciation of our Gold membership Instead, address your staff for their shortcomings of the Hilton Brand they represent

We just experienced a wonderful stay here No complaints everything was great! The check in was not only super simple but the front desk people were extremely nice and explained everything to us The evening reception almost had me drunk off the complimentary drinks 😉 we booked a king suite which was very roomy, could maybe use a little updating but everything was clean and comfortable

Breakfast did not disappoint and the omelet stand was everything! We will definitely be back!

Nice pool area Hot breakfast every morning with unlimited omelets!!! The rooms were very clean beds are super comfortable the shower jets were relaxing Great staff that told us the nicest restaurants in Greenville We’re having an amazing time The wife is happy and so am I You know the saying HAPPY WIFE HAPPY LIFE!!! It’s safe to say we’ll be staying at the Hilton for the rest of our life! So long Mariot

Talesha Whitmire

Well, I hate to complain, but the last Hilton hotel I stayed in was in Duluth, so that is why I decided to stay here I came to this area to take a nursing test at a nearby testing center I have always stayed at Hilton hotels, but had no idea my expectations would so disappointed after staying at a beautiful, clean, Hilton hotel like the one in Duluth

To start, I think they upgraded, but was not sure, because I reserved a king bed, and I ended up getting two doubles in my room which wasn’t really a big deal, however when I walked in, I felt like I was in a bad episode of the Brady Bunch and couldn’t escape The decor definitely was not up to par, very outdated I walked into my room and it was so hot that I had to call the front desk They did send maintenance quickly, but the stench of the old hotel plus the room being so hot almost made me retch So, I ended up with a box fan The air conditioner never really worked properly, so I was thankful for the fan, but I would have been ashamed to charge for a room And, the sink beside the coffee pot had coffee on the wall Did not make me feel as though the room was deep cleaned The food from the cafe was minimal, and I was charged twice I called to accounting department and they were too rude to call back Never could get a live person Still checking my credit card to see if it was fixed I don’t mind paying for good food But to have minimal food and be charged twice!!! And then, not receive a phone call back? I called twice Also, the breakfast bar I wanted eggs and bacon, and the eggs were obviously powder eggs and the bacon was cold Just not a good stay and I felt the hotel was old and dirty NO ROOM SERVICE I will say the positives: The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and there was plenty of parking, and the bathroom did smell of clorox, so I am assuming the cleaning in the bathroom was complete I will not be staying here again I was so disappointed after staying at the Hilton in Duluth No comparison at all Needs updating and some new carpet

Really disappointed, smelly rundown furniture in my room( my clothes smelled of it after being seated in one ) Rooms not cleaned properly ( found empty Iced tea bottle behind chair ) The non functioning microwave in the room was replaced with a alternate non properly functioning microwave

( the turntables did not rotate on former nor the latter, however the replacement did at least heat food ) The bathroom sink plug mechanism did not work to allow for drainage without reaching under the sink to manually operate the lever Reported this deficiency and the microwave issue together The sink was not repaired I could accept this being conditions at a Motel 6 but a Hilton? My Company pays good money to accommodate us there regularly I hate to have to write this kind of review but you have to do better

I travel a lot for work and stay at a lot of Marriotts Being a woman, that can be a little scary at times, especially in a state/city that is new to youMy original room was booked with a connecting door which over the course of the evening caused me a lot of anxiety and stress (realistic or not)

I felt embarrassed going to the front desk to ask for a new room at 10:40 PM Employee at the front desk, Maya made me feel heard and didn’t even blink an eye when I told her why I wanted to change rooms She was very professional, warm, and comforting The process was seamless That is not customer service that can be taught; it is Just genuine kindness

My room had just had the carpets cleaned and eventually the room became musty as not enough time had passed to let the carpet dry Pool was not open, HH and Cafe not open regular hours Overall a decent place to sleep but lacking in experience

And the musty smell from the room was just gross my entire suit case now has that smell Yuck

Traveling for business for 2 nights, booked on the Bonvoy app weeks prior Selected a King Balcony Upon arrival the mobile checkin didn’t work

Upon opening the guest room I was overwhelmed by cigarette smoke The table below the TV was wet and a white substance also coated the tabletop Found a bug on the bed Immediately went to the front desk and got a “upgrade” to a 1 bedroom suite Better accommodations but lacked a balcony and the room faced the highway which resulted in a restless night Finally at 3:30am I left and went across the street to the full service Marriott World differenceThe indoor pool is closed and drained Avoid this place, but if you must – get a room opposite the parking lot/parkway The noise will keep you up

We were there for a wedding and this was the hotel that was chosen for most everyone to stay We were able to get a discount because of that but even without it, it looked like their prices were very reasonable The room was clean and was beautiful inside and had a beautiful view outside

The service was great I would definitely stay here again

After reading more reviews about the thefts that happens in this hotel by their staff, I feel more confident about getting a solution to this matter My wife and I rushed out this morning and she forgot her wedding band and wedding ring in the bathroom counter We both are 100% sure we left it there

Three hours after checking out we called and they said they would send someone to check the room and would call us back Ten minutes later we called again and they said someone was in the room searching for it and would call us back Thirty minutes later I called and the manager said she personally went to the room and it wasn’t there There are plenty of other reviews reporting the same issues We are filing a police report We are filing a claim against Hilton’s insurance We will go out of our ways to sue anyone involved and will make sure this gets solvedWe are Hilton Diamond members and will never support this brand again until Corporate reports back to us with a solution

I thought long and hard about this review because I love and am usually overwhelmed by our connection to the Hilton brand of excellence This location was not in keeping with that I understand that they are in the midst of an update so I will reserve final judgment

It wasn’t any one thing… just a mountain of little things that did not add up to the usual excellence attached to the Hilton name

Clean rooms, though a bit on the smaller side Very nice bar and the restaurant had a decent breakfast buffet selection (but it was $17 a person roughly) Huge 65 inch

+ TV was a nice touch in the room My parents actually hosted their wedding reception here 2 decades ago so it was cool to have a personal connection They accommodated our Omega Psi Phi conference pretty well for the size of the group we had

Derek Brooks

We stayed here for a conference and we’re very happy with the accommodations! It appears that the hotel has been here for a while, but everything we experienced was up to date and modern The room was great, but so was the hotel restaurant and bar The conference space was also very nice

We walked everywhere we went On Friday night the city closes down the street outside the hotel for food trucks and live music, our whole 3 night experience was great!

I slept well the second night which is better than I do at most hotels The walls and doors are thin I could hear talking in the hall

The wall behind me shook when the person in the adjoining room got into bed, and i could hear the music from the atrium clearly through the window of the room The bed was nice, and everything seemed clean Service was good There were plenty of places to charge things The water wasn’t hard The temp of the shower was nice The lighting was neat It was a great location to walk to the falls Surrounded by lots of cool places In general I enjoyed my stay there The Roost was excellent The glass elevator and atrium are beautiful experiences

We loved the feeling of a little slice of Europe in Greenville, SC The design and ambience were wonderful and to our taste The staff were friendly and helpful

The location was excellent We had valet parking for our car and didn’t use it until we left We walked to the Reedy River falls and park and to our delicious dinner at Soby’s Had we been attending The Peace Center, we’d have only needed to cross the street The breakfast croissants, authentic and delicious, were from France

First, let me state what I liked about the hotel: location, rooftop restaurant, front lobby decor/vibe, and customer service @ the front deskWhat I didn’t like about the hotel was the HVAC in our guest room My husband and I traveled to SC at the beginning of the summer so no problem

However, this is my third experience with a Marriott property where trying to get the room temperature at a comfortable setting is impossible It’s either too cold or the direct opposite too hotObtaining a comfortable room temperature was never an issue in the past and I’ve been a long time Marriott member so Marriott need to get it together This was my only major complaint with this property Everything else was pretty good I would stay here again because I really like the area

Dan Mason

We spent two nights at this brand new hotel The staff were wonderful and it was impeccably clean The only negatives were: the euro style toilet did not flush well, the shower operation was shockingly difficult to figure out, and there was only a side table on one side of the bed

Even with those negatives, we would happily stay there again
