On a recent trip to Los Angeles I decided to stay downtown at the Hotel Figueroa (It is a Hyatt property) I was fortunate enough to get an upgrade to a one bedroom suite
It was nicely furnished, very clean and they offered daily housekeeping services (That seems to be a little bit more rare these days with staffing issues) The hotel has been around since 1926 and clearly has been refurbished multiple times My room was very comfortable and well appointed Love you overlook the skyline and the hotel swimming pool I enjoyed a breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant, Cafe Fig I had a bountiful fresh Cobb salad for dinner and a customized omelette with smoked salmon for breakfast Both meals were excellent and the restaurant is highly recommended! They offer valet parking at $48 a night (After all, this is downtown LA!) my stay was a five star experience for the three nights I stayed at Hotel Figueroa!

I used to be quite active with Google reviews and have not been in quite a while This hotel single-handedly got me back posting because it was such as good experience I felt I absolutely needed to I stayed at Hotel Figueroa for a quick work trip
Upon arrival (after 18+ hours of traveling) I was greeted by a very nice man who offered water, toothpaste, and even upgraded me to a suite The room was amazingly clean, large and was a perfect place to stay for a few nights All staff members that I interacted with were incredibly pleasant and accommodating I ate at Cafe Fig twice and the food was amazing (not to mention again, the staff being so nice and accommodating) It literally got to the point where I was waiting for something to make this hotel not be an A+ place to stay, but that something never happened I 100% recommend this hotel, and will 100% be returning soon
Rhonda Garcia
Everything about this property is just sublime and near perfect The valet team is world class and super friendly The front desk team was incredibly welcoming and helpful
My room was a little paradise and housekeeping was on point I love the retro remodel and every nook and cranny of the hotel is so well done I really enjoyed my stay and I will be back

From past experience in California Hilton hotels I was expecting for the hotel to be smelling, dirty and rude staff I would highly recommend the hotel as the staff is amazing very professional
The rooms are extremely clean and the noise level was Amazon AC was so cold and no noise what so ever The kids had an amazing time in the pool To top it off we had an amazing view Lake outside our window The breakfast was not bad They do offer a a large amount of options for breakfast kids and adults will enjoy over all the best hotel experience in California so far… not to mention the free parking Indoor or outside Also very close to Santa Monica and universal studios great hotel great staff will definitely be back
Robert Guerrero
Stayed here a few nights on a work trip The room was nice and big with a couch and a desk The location is easy to get to and there are several good restaurants within walking distance
The breakfast here was also better than other Hilton hotels that I’ve stayed at They were serving breakfast sandwiches (sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits/croissants, and ham, egg, and cheese biscuits/croissants) Will definitely stay there again on my next work trip
Adina Garcias
My family and I booked a lake view 2 queen beds, 1 full sofa bed with a kitchen Our stay here was amazing The staff were very friendly and helpful, the free breakfast was great had many options and a waffle bar
Our room had a great view of the golf course and lake, was very clean comfortable and roomy , the kitchen area had a sink , dishwasher, a fridge with a tremendous amount of space for the food and drinks we brought , a microwave and dishes/flatware/toaster/etc my husband and I had our three children with us so the indoor pool was great and not to mention the gym that our two older boys loved as it was 24 hrs There was an area we didn’t get to utilize which was the bbq area that you can bbq out on a beautiful floor level patio area This is a dog friendly hotel which I really wasn’t too sure about as my husband has very bad pet allergies but the staff there has the hotel so clean that you couldn’t even tell that there were any animals there until you saw them My family and I enjoyed this place so much that we extended our stay another day The room service was also great (upon request) They were very friendly and trustworthy Parking was free which was nice and seemed to have plenty of spaces The location was easy to find and in a nice safe area and had many places to choose from to eat close by Our stay at this location was outstanding and will be staying here again for future vacations

First time at hotel Outstanding staff, everyone here were outstanding, friendly, going above and beyond, even the dining staff, breakfast was extremely tasty, omelets to order were spot on Room was spacious, loved the bathroom and shower, all the amenities offered were greatly appreciated
Just outstanding folks here that made my short stay here, memorable Great view from balcony overlooking the mountains in the distance If afforded the opportunity to return to the area, will stay here again
Brad Lee
This place seems great for an event and that’s it Paid extra for a view, that view was of palm trees right at our balcony A/C leaked in the room
I guess they don’t clean rooms at this hotel, while you’re staying If you stay on the weekend during an event good luck on parking Make sure you get parking permit so you don’t get a ticket They failed to give us one Showers are super, super small, my wife is 49ft tall and even she thought they were small Make sure the luggage bell carts tires are not flat before you take it to your room and load up a weeks worth of luggage The value just isn’t there, to make this place worth it A business trip for a night probably very nice A family for 5 days no way!! And make sure the nice nice lady is working before you ask for towels Our you get asked a 1000 questions
April Carrasquillo
Disappointed in the cleanliness and the breakfast The entrance to the hotel is beautiful but the rooms leave a lot to be desired The floors were dirty, the rooms need a deep cleaning and safety locks on the windows
One room we stayed in didn’t even have screens on the windows let alone safety locks to protect children — on the fourth floor I’d like to believe they are short staffed and that is the reason for the unkept state of things but there were often multiple people behind the front desk We’ve stayed at many different Hilton locations — this was the most expensive and the worst one The laundry room is dirty and floods when the washing machine is used So many issuesThe people were kind and changed our room when the first room was dirty and again later after our son vomited in the second We were very thankful for that

I had an overall great experience here, the rooms are very clean and provided plenty of amenities, the workers the front desk were very welcoming and were helpful in describing all that hotel had to offer upon my arrival I unfortunately got a room that had a window view of a building about 5 ft from me so I felt like that scene in The matrix when they open the windows and all you see was brick, but other than that it was the greatest experience and I even left a $700 pair of black diamond earrings in the restroom by accident, I realized a day later, and they still had my earrings waiting for me and I know for a fact in most places room service will just pocket anything that they find so for them to actually keep my belongings in Lost and found it shows me the character and the culture of the service team here, and for that I will always be a customer of this hotel
Melanie Booth
I love the location because it’s walking distance to the art museums, the last book store and the LA public library (which has a museum feel) The room was clean and the bathroom was pretty with marble floors and tub I paid a little more for the room with the high floor and city view and it was worth it
Trust me I am picky and travel a lot so this is a nice choice if you want to be downtown The front desk ladies were also kind and helpful
Rebecca Lehman
We arrived jet lagged and stressed after our initial hotel turned out to be under constructionJoanie was fantastic, got us straight into a room with an early check in so we could go straight to sleep The room was quiet and bed was comfy
Turns out the corner rooms have two windows, which are sunny but have great block out blindsThis hotel is well located to other Art Deco locations, the Jewelry district and the theatres / cultural activitiesWe’ll absolutely stay here again

My mum and I just stayed here for 2 nights The hotel staff are very friendly, the rooms are very clean, we had 2 double beds in our room on a little platform, very spacious, very comfy and clean The safe worked too, and theres a mini bar in the room with a fridge
Room service was great (we never usually use it, but thought we would take advantage of it this time, I ordered the buttermilk pancakes, they were definitely worth the money, very tasty!)The rooftop bar was so cool, a very relaxed environment Didnt get a chance to use the pool though although it looked nice

I ended up checking in to The Standard SUPER late I had originally booked a large room but was pleasantly surprised to be told that I was upgraded to a ‘Gigantic’ for free! I was told that there are, “definitely some perks to checking-in a bit late sometimes!” My companion and I went to go check out our room, which was pretty cool There isn’t a door to the bathroom, but rather this VERY see-through curtain, nonetheless the room was nice and provided amenities were sleek and well presented
We then had Dinner at the hotel restaurant which was VERY dimly lit, but the service and food were pretty good After eating, we proceeded to go and check out the infamous rooftop which was actually super cool! Nice view of the LA city and a very good ambience with the design choices, versatility, and drinks! The biggest pain-point in my opinion was parking The hotel valet charged $40/night and there is a only one valet at a time in my experience, so in both cases I needed my car it took a little longer than I would have preferred Otherwise a good stay overall, would recommend!

Fairly nice room, the check-in process is awful and I can tell it’s not just a one off given the other reviews Had our reservation cancelled and forced to re book another room Not very helpful staff
There is also no privacy between the bathroom and the rest of the room, a giant glass panel stands between the shower and the other space, exposing the user fully Not what is expected of a hotel at all!Rest of the hotel is lovely, very nice rooftop pool bar and the rooms are nice bar the bathroom area

Room on 1009 has the best view of the nice buildings and city life Stayed for two nights and its perfect Room was very clean and spacious
Having a corner room and large windows in 3 corners means lovely views of LA downtown The bed and sheets are comfortable Two sinks and spacious restroom was gracious Very nice experience: customer service, room, location (surrounded by great restaurants and whole foods walking distance is a plus), and the Roof top views and the bar really top it all like cherry on top! Wow, thanks for the wonderful experience, highly recommended!

Great central downtown location across the street from Whole Foods and close proximity to then LA Live I stayed in the single room and overall enjoyed the experience The hotel has a unique hipster vibe
One downside was the city noise due to the location so it’s definitely not a tranquil experience But other than that I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re in the area

I travelled from the uk with two friends for super-bowl weekend and stayed at the freehand for 3 nights before moving on! and what a weekend it was , location is superb with the hotels aesthetic and rooftop bar definitely exceeding an already exciting expectation This gem is a little slice of LA as you imagine! Probably the best rooftop bar in LA! Rooms were very nice clean and comfortable and the vibe was awesome! Will definitely be returning in the future! Thanks so much for making my first time in LA great!

Just checked out from a three night stay This is a wonderful property with top notch service From my initial contact with the valet attendant to the front desk and bar staff everyone was from and happy to help
Cleaning during the pandemic is of utmost importance to the staff and we felt very safe The downside if any was the highway and construction noise but did not interfere with getting rest at night or relaxing poolside We will welcome a return in the future!

Me and my Dad stayed here for three nights during our trip to Los Angeles I stayed here ten years ago, only returned here in the middle of January 2022 Some of the shops at the moment seemed to be closed due to the pandemic but there are still other places in the hotel open
I thought the lobby bar was nice, the morning café bar was lovely with options of fresh salads and fresh baked breakfast The people working there were lovely I also thought the safety of this hotel was great The lifts are still the same as I had remembered, amazing views of Downtown LA as your reaching the floor level you are staying in If you look from one of the towers you can see the Hollywood Sign The top floor restaurant was closed during our stay as the restaurant is only open Thursday – Sunday I thought the hotel was beautiful overall and I will be definitely going back 🙂
Joyfully His
We stayed at a Westin in Phoenix and was impressed with the brand This was was comparable to the Marriott Marquis in NYC It was very similar in many ways
We loved how each staff member had a commitment to detail From the valet, to room service, and everyone in between Our beds were comfortable, the showers had high pressure (our favorite!😍), and the food was pretty good This place definitely made our stay in Los Angeles more convenient and enjoyable We loved being within walking distance of so much and within 20 minutes of most everything you’d want to see/do while in LA for a couple of days I wouldn’t take a chance on another hotel in this area, honestly We saw people have to park on the streets and in public garages with other hotels, and this isn’t an area where you’d want to chance having to do that at night Walking around after sunset is not recommended, obviously This is SO much different from NYC in that regard

Add $35 a day to your bill I checked out a day early and still owed a deposit and “destination fee” They said they could not take off the extra day due to contractual obligations $300 in deposits and they sent me a bill for $209 after checking out Their assistant front office manager states that this fee is to “keep in line with market Segments” She would not give me a detailed explanation These fees are usually to keep up with amenities such as pool or gym If you are not told about these fees, like my self, before confirming your stay it is against the federal trade commissions guidelines They seem to not want to help or explain much Good luck folks seems like there is a better way to spend your money

Service was 5 star! Area not so great, LA, in general, is a pit That city needs help Room was nice but here are a few things that bothered me
Ice – they brought ice up to us when we asked which was great, but what do you do with it when you get it???? It came in a plastic bag but NO ice bucket in room The temperature in the room ran HOT, thermostat was down as low as it would go and still toasty The street noise was very loud The fridge was very small, threw off a lot of heat and did not keep anything colder than room temperature Definitely not worth the price we paid, we will not return I do want to reiterate the service was very friendly and accessible

Stayed at The Hoxton for a convention Loved that it was walkable/a scooter ride away from the convention center Check in and out was smooth and simple
Friendly front staff Helped with the front door when my hands were full pulling luggage Room had a cute design and a beautiful bathroom Odds of me returning 8/10 Would recommend to friends👌

We saw a concert at the theater – we did not stay at the hotel The theater is a charming venue and we enjoyed the show we saw The staff was courteous and efficient in getting us through the security protocols
The restrooms were downstairs and I don’t know if there was an elevator – there may be and I just didn’t see one so it’s worth finding out if mobility is an issue The folks at the hotel valet service were great and I recommend them without hesitation

Staff is fantastic, rooms are super cute, beds are comfortable however, nearly impossible to get a decent night sleep My stay at Ace was for a work trip so partying was not a priority The street noise is extremely loud until nearly 3 am every night and because this an an older building, the windows block zero noise, the roof bar parties can be heard from the upper floors rooms as well
If you stay here and value sleep, I would ask for a lower floor room that does not face the street I was here 7 nights and have barely slept one of them I would suggest that the hotel invests in some sound proofing to lesson the noise so guests can rest comfortably Rooftop pool is open to the public so, you can forget about getting one of the 4 lounge chairs available to enjoy it No priority is given to hotel guests The immediate area feels unsafe, a lot of homeless Honestly, I typically love & prefer boutique hotels and would love to say I want to stay here again but I can’t If I have an LA travel in my future, I will be staying at a larger hotel with better amenities

It was cool to stay in a historic hotel and the rooms were pretty interesting, and the bed was comfy The customer service, however, was horrible My coworker and I stayed for one night and had requested an early check-in
I ended up waiting four and a half hours for my room to be “cleaned,” which is just absurd, while my coworker was given a room right away Because this was a business trip and the room had been reserved on a company card, I politely asked to speak with the manager to get clarification because I ended up having to charge the room on my personal card The front desk staff member rudely said “My COWORKER is right here” So I didn’t even get to speak with the person in charge, and both of them ended up being really unnecessarily rude The rest of the day (while I waited almost 5 hours for my room to be “ready”), whenever we passed the concierge, they glared at us I called the front desk after two hours of waiting for my room to be ready, and was treated like a Karen when I politely asked for an update on the room Two more hours passed, and I went down to the front desk to again ask about the room I was met with a glare and complete rudeness from the staff member yet again Even when we checked out, they were pretty abrupt and rude It seems like they staff this place with people who hate people, unfortunately

Ive been to so many hotels around the world, and this is the best i have ever stayed in! The hotel is basically a condo, we stayed in the two bedroom deluxe, it has two rooms, two restrooms, a balcony, washers, dryers, stoves etc The staff were informative and friendly; the best part of this hotel was the view of the pool and basketball court Everyday we would get a ball run in then hop slight in the pool
My friends and i came came from Toronto as this was our first time in LA; and were beyond impressed with Levels!

Was in town for a week on business and had to stay in the downtown area I chose level due to the size of the rooms, more than double the size of traditional hotel rooms Whole foods is one block away and was able to cook breakfast for myself
The front desk were very nice and friendly, they seem to always be smiling My room was great, in the time of covid I was glad to see that housekeeping took their jobs seriously The next time I’m in LA regardless if it’s for work or personal, I’ll be staying at level

I loved this hotel it was so beautiful The employees were so nice always on top of everything The beds were so comfortable the room was really clean
I liked that when we would leave we would just put a button so they could come clean it such a great idea haven’t seen that in other hotels The view was just amazing If you are going on a vacation make sure that you take money 😂 because we did have to pay a hold of $400 and then the parking of like 250 for 4 days Wasn’t to bad A lot of people say that they had trouble with the elevator going to the 70 floor then going back to their room but I liked it because no one else other than the guest could go in so I think they just do it so guest won’t be bothered by other people Thank you for such a great experience will definitely book again!

I was happy with my stay there, definitely a great experience being there The elevators took a while for me to get used to but was able to find an easier way to get to my floor instead of going all the way up to 70 to go back down I really enjoyed the gym amenities, great gym with updated equipment! I didn’t get to check out the rooftop bar (hopefully next time)
The room was pretty tidy and clean, I think the only minor thing was there was short hair on the wall of the shower that wasn’t mine that was still stuck there
Chris Tran

Great hotel Staff is very kind, its in a great location Right next to an outlet center within walking distance, Rooms are large and well priced
A little aged, but we never heard our neighbors and the floors are sturdy Bathrooms are huge and the restaurantwow we each got something different and we all enjoyed it completely My only complaint is don’t get a room next to the elevator as you can hear it all night Other then that awesome! Would happily visit again

The room was fine, Just what you would expect from a standard Hilton property What really stood out to me was the staff When I arrive my phone was dead so I couldn’t use my digital key, I ask the lady at the front desk to print me a copy, and she offered me some waters and was quick and efficient
After unpacking I quickly realized I forgot to bring a travel toothpaste, so I headed back up front and a gentleman provided me with complimentary toothpasteAs always DoubleTree provided their delicious cookies My stay was quick, but this is a nice property If you have more time, it sits right in the parking lot of the Citadel outlets
