It was good The staff was amazing! They were friendly and always willing to help No issues with the staff what so ever

Where I did have issues though, was the room The room was clean and fresh The highway noise was horrible, maybe because I was on the side of the highway Obviously the noise is louder Not sure if you hear the highway nois on the other side of the hotel If you stay make sure you’re not in a room facing the highway They could upgrade the windows to block out the noise The bed wasn’t as comfortable as I would like Still manageable What really got me was the sulfur smell you would get in the main lobby You couldn’t smell it in the rooms or the hallways on the floor I was on It was strong in the lobby It did not help because I’m a big breakfast kinda person With that smell I lost my appetite Overall good experience minus the smell and highway noise Staff was amazing One of the best I have experienced

Justin Edwards

Overall this was a good hotel and I definitely would stay there again For the most part it was clean it did have some spots that were not clean in the bathroom which would indicate that they didn’t do a 100% of a good job cleaning You can see those in the picture things that were left on the counter

The room itself needs a little bit of work on cosmetic as there are contractors fingerprints and other things wallpaper peeling and water damage signs The structure also probably needs to be evaluated because it has some major shift Front guest staff was awesome and nothing but friendly both at night and in the morning It’s nice to see that they keep more than one person on hand for the front desk at all hours Hotel is handicap accessible and has accessible rooms Shower was great although the shower doors are installed backwards Rooms could use a little bit more soundproofing as sound travels through the doors fairly easily You’re also going to hear a little bit of highway noise depending on the side of hotel you’re on because it is directly besides 75 They have a good snack and drink selection at the front desk They also have extended breakfast hours till 10:00 on Saturday which is better than a lot of neighboring hotels Parking is decent though it can be tricky to navigate and there’s a shortage of spots in the front I was able to find a spot still open later in the evening though so it wasn’t too bad Gaining access to the hotel is easy if you’re going southbound on 75 however if you’re going northbound you’ll have to bypass and loop back to it Easy to spot from the road Overall I would probably stay here again but one thing that does detract is they have anti-concealed carry and open carry signs The signs are not valid as they are posted incorrectly however they get the point across that they don’t want anybody that carries to stay in their hotel

Jerry Schrader

My wife and I stayed here for the weekend, I cannot express how amazing the staff was to us, everyone of them However Gabby went above and beyond as she mostly dealt with us throughout the stay There’s not enough that I can say about this place, they’ve always treated us like royalty, but this weekend when we really needed it they shone through

I highly recommend Hyatt in Allan

I had my wedding reception in The Grand Hotel Ballroom a few weeks ago!Megan Lamm (the Wedding Director) and her team did a fantastic job Megan is very organized and made sure every detail we planned together was taken care ofFrom her team setting up our decor, to keeping a tight schedule, to the food (oh my gosh the food was delicious

many of our guests complimented us on our food selection and the signature drink we chose for cocktail hour) – everything went SO smoothlyMy husband and I got to just thoroughly enjoy the evening with our friends and familyAlso, the Arts & Blooms Festival was the same weekend and thank goodness Megan helped bring back the hotel Valet, so that our guests would not need to worry about finding parkingThank you so much for being part of our special day – I would recommend the Ballroom to anyone that wants a classy reception with great food from Rick’s Chophouse, all conveniently located in Historic Downtown McKinneyThank you again for everything!!

Phil Prickett

My daughter reserved a block of rooms for her wedding reception weekend I called many weeks before the reservation and gave my credit card When I arrived they told me I didn’t have a room

After about twenty minutes of researching they finally found me a room I had reservations for two queen beds We had 3 people and needed two queens But they have that room away The room they found for me was a king so daughter had to sleep on a roll awayThen when I checked out they overcharged me so had to get that corrected The water pressure in the shower was very low as wellI will say that we had a private dinner in ricks chophouse and it was Fantastic!

We experienced many problems at this hotel I booked a room with a queen bed and sofa, but got a king bed and a chair Breakfast was supposed to be included, but they charged $6

The front desk man asked how often we wanted maid service I said daily towels and trash removal, but they didn’t have to change sheets Housekeeping cleaned our room once during our 4 night stay The bathroom door lock didn’t work and the toilet was not clean I asked for an extra blanket, it never arrived I tried to call the from desk with the room’s phone, but had no dial tone No wonder since there was no cord connecting the phone to the wall I mentioned this to the front desk, and it was not replaced Finally, upon check out, I was not asked if I enjoyed my stay or even thanked We cannot recommend this hotel under any circumstances

Hillary McHenry

I had requested to switch rooms and was told I would switch rooms, but was then denied the following day when I inquired about it I was literally lied to by the hotel staff when they guaranteed me I would be able to switch rooms the next day, then immediately went back on their word There was no phone in our hotel room, and when I stated there was no phone, the hotel staff did absolutely nothing about it

They didn’t make a note of it They didn’t reassure me that someone would bring one up the next day There was zero follow up I had to ask the manager directly for a phone to be brought to my room the next day I did the hotel staff’s job The light in our room also didn’t work, but I couldn’t even call the front desk to have it fixed because there was no phone and I was already ready to just go to sleep I had to complain directly to the manager about the light as well, and it was fixed the next day after I spoke with him I also do not understand why there are no safes in rooms That has always been pretty standard in every hotel I’ve ever stayed at, and doesn’t make me feel like I can leave any valuable belongings in my room when I’m out for the day

Christina Jordan

Poor Customer Service, No WiFi, dirty furniture, rooms not prepared for guestWe had to move rooms twice First room had no lights, no towels or soap, an AC was broken The second room they sent us to bed was left unmade and room had not been cleaned

The third room we moved into was clean however did not get any Internet connection the entire time we were here The front desk never answers their phone Went down for breakfast which is usually complementary and Holiday Inn and the staff was extremely rude about it Coffee station is small and dirty Sofa in the lobby smells horrible do not sit on it! The sofa in our room also had stains We asked for a refund so we can go to a different hotel and was told that we had to wait for the manager to arrive the next day

Tiffany Begley

I stayed at The Neathery Estate for 3 nights as a local getaway from the wonderful but sometimes exhausting people who live in my house 🙂 I chose the Magnolia Suite and I felt at home from the moment I checked in The grounds are beautiful, the decor is sublime, the food is delicious, but the hospitality is incomparable! When I needed a place to spend some quality time resting and reflecting, The Neathery Estate was the right choice

With the proximity to Downtown McKinney, tons of choices for entertainment and food are quickly available Tiffany is a wonderful, attentive host whose care and love of innkeeping is apparent in every way Thank you for such an amazing place to spend some time taking care of myself!

Hayley Krier

I stayed here the night before my wedding with my bridesmaids and immediate family and our stay could not have been better!! The beds were extremely comfortable, the breakfast was amazing, and each room was so beautiful Communication with staff was great and they made multiple changes to my reservation (at my request) leading up to my stay The house was well secured and each room had its own Keurig, coffee pods, tea, and water bottles

The stay was so amazing that my husband and I actually stayed here the next night, directly after our wedding He loved every second of it too Highly recommended!

Mark Hedley

Tiffany’s experience as an innkeeper shines in this absolutely beautiful historic home Not a compromise anywhere Reserved the entire inn for several days

Convenient location to all things McKinney, very good WIFI coverage, and breakfasts were splendid Stay, and experience all Tiffany has to offer at the Neathery Estate You will love it

Frank N

We are locals on an overnight trip Ethan checked us in He was very friendly and professional

He was able to accommodate my room upgrade request He set us up in a very nice suite, which had a balcony overlooking the courtyard The room had a very nice layout and was very clean We would have appreciated a different brand of toiler paper, because the one in our room was very coarse Not sure what brand it was The covered parking garage was conveniently located across the street from the property Unfortunately the dining facility on the property was not available to us the evening of 7/9/22 because it was closed We appreciated the many dining options within walking distance The property is centrally located to many shopping and dining areas We would certainly stay here again!

Sarah Nowlen

Pretty decent room Nice little balcony! Not as clean as I would have liked, and very uncomfortable bed! Nice views and restaurants near by Safe and clean parking lot well lit with plenty of spaces

Probably gets pretty crazy when there is an event If i stayed again I would request a room overlooking the courtyard rather than the street I’m sure it’s staffing related but they didn’t have breakfast the day I was there, which would have been fine if the very nice guy who checked me in hadn’t twice told me the hours and location of the breakfast I could expect All in all a fine place to stop, a little on the expensive side

edwin t

This was place okay The beds were super stiff and the room was quite warm (March) I turned on the AC and the unit was EXTREMELY loud and make a clunking sound

I had to turn it off so we could get back to sleep I requested a room with a bathtub in the notes at booking and didn’t get one There was also 0 toilet paper in the room so we used KleenexLocation is superb if you want to have a few drinks after an event at the event center Beyond that, it’s nothing to write home about

A previous stay here was amazing The only thing I would recommend is that the dirt dust and mold in the lobby and guestroom bathrooms be given a deep cleaning I attempted to stay at this location last weekend

However, the male front desk clerk who worked overnight on 03/19/2022, insisted on a rate of $199 as the lowest rate for two queens at Military/Govt rate or member rate, but the app showed $122 I was initially disappointed but was able to find a better hotel 5 minutes a way

Deietra Bolden

While the hotel is beautiful and the cleanliness of the lobby was great, the rooms were a different story and so was the staff We booked the hotel to stay at while in town for a wedding It was a large party with some rather tall men and kids

One bedroom had blood spatter on the sheets when pulled back The rooms are advertised as doubles but don’t specify the bed size They are full beds and are small making it difficult to sleep two to a bed and the men and children had issues I believe it should be advertised as full sized beds and not just doubles At check in the front desk staff never asked if I needed help When the other staff walked up to ask if I needed to check in, the staff that was already there shrugged her shoulders and said she didn’t know I replied that it was because she never asked or acknowledged me

Yulonda Fluker

So I stayed Saturday night to attend a wedding Sunday after noon in McKinney and thought everything was in place on Sunday before the wedding Unfortunately, that was not the case I had multiple dress wardrobe malfunctions and did not know what to do I called down to the front desk explained my situation and she politely explained that no one was site to assist and that I should try a tailor

So l google to see if anyone was open and course not they were all closed!! So I calmed my self down and prayed and looked at the guest services number and Delores knew my situation from Dee at the front desk and was able to assist me I just wanted to give both of those ladies a shout out for assisting me and can truly and honestly say this location has earned my loyalty!!!

Such a cool place to have had the pleasure of staying at They had so many things to do,from swimming, paddleboarding, fishing, riding around on a golf cart, or just able to enjoy the peacefulness of nature The cabins are so cute and nice

Plus the outdoor showers are awesome! We will absolutely be back and definitely highly recommend this wonderful place

Rita Woody

If you’re looking for peace and quiet this is the place The property is beautiful The grandkids loved the swimming pool and their time fishing

We enjoyed our time with the grandkids and after taking them home we decided to stay a few extra days The cabin was cozy and decorated cute nestled in the woods with hiking, biking trails The outdoor showers were a nice touch as well, my grandson couldn’t wait to try it out We rented a golf cart to drive to the lake and up to the community area each day The owner was very nice and friendly answered our questions and accommodated us It was truly relaxing We will definitely be back!

Camila Cristiani

Rented one of their cabins for 4th of July and had a blast! We hiked their 6 mi trail with our two dogs (3 mi each day), has fun at Dream Lake paddle boarding and letting one of our dogs try to catch some fish The cabin was great, no TV but good wifi, it was awesome disconnecting for a weekend! We grilled for dinner and the rest was pre made food that could be microwaved Enjoyed time sitting out in the porch just listening to music

Definitely will be back and 10/1 recommend for a weekend getaway Oh and the outdoor shower was a dream!

Normally don’t care to write reviews for hotels but I was fairly impressed The room was crazy spacious and at the price, very cheap and high value When we walked in it was hot like a sauna but the AC worked to cool it down pretty speedily

Front desk was kind, nothing special to report First floor had everything including a fair fitness center Location was decent with a fair bit of shops and restaurants close by We stayed for an event at the Allen Event Center but the nearby surroundings were solidBreakfast is provided so that’s cool It’s nothing special but it’s included in the cheap price already Unfortunately, pools are outdoors and often closed (closed on our visit) whereas other hotels have outdoor pools and jacuzzis that remain openThe main complaint is that the shower drain is annoying to deal with and extremely slow Each shower my feet will be submerged in soapy water as I’m ready to leave so I take extra time to wait for water to drain before rinsing off finally It was a bigger deal than you might imagine (at least to me), but great service, cleanliness, and overall positive impression puts the hotel at 4

Dámaris

Stayed one night The front person was nice room looked fine We turned the tv on and it was inaudible

Thank goodness for subtitles The AC must’ve been 30 years old, it was SO loud Got up to go eat some of their breakfast…wow it was bad Just thankful for bananas On my way back home I noticed BED BUG bitesWouldn’t recommend staying here unfortunately

Emily Killham

Staff was nice, place was clean However, our shower did not work during our stay The best they could do was a key to a second room (without enough beds for our family) where we could shower

Neither maintenance nor the manager, Amit Patel, could be located during our staySince the stay I have tried numerous times to reach management, to no avail In addition, IHG Corporate has explained this is an independently owned and operated hotel by Everwood Hotel Properties and so they can also not provide any or accommodation

Used to be a great hotel New owners are terrible, rude, uncaring I fled to this hotel, as I had always had good experiences and loved the staff, to escape a domestic violence dispute

I and my twoChildren extended our stay one day at a time while we waiting on attorneys and CPS to update us on when/If it was safe to return home I explained this to the managementNo grace at all when trying to extend reservations, late checkout, or move rooms (We had originally gotten 1 bed at the last minute, and requested to switch to a 2 queen room as there were 3 people)They ran off all the awesome staff that was there before Used to be a frequent guest Never againLovely manager said she will post her reply here Knock herself out Once great hotel Horrible management

We spent four nights in this hotel which was conveniently located for our purposes Unfortunately the carpet was very dirty with many spots that looked like they could have been cleaned if someone had tried The air conditioner was extremely noisy while running and clunking as it turned on and off

It kept us awake off and on all night The shower door was so small that it made it difficult to get in and passed the dispensers on the wall My husband and I are not large peopleThe staff was very polite and helpful

heclker5

No TV remote in room and didn’t receive until past 9:30pm A/C super loud so unable to fall asleep Attended breakfast at 7:15am and was cold, other items burnt and no egg options to be found

Coffee also at this time was already out Elevator was dirty with trash and used band aides Advised associate on duty and emailed both mgr and GM to honor unsatisfactory Hilton Honors member experience Asst Mgr Mikaela declined Hilton Satisfaction Or Complimentary night stay advertisement within lobby and GM Nick Desai never replied to my email with message being Home2 by Hilton can decline and not follow or honor Hilton standard policies

Excellent hotel and would definitely stay again We rented two different rooms for our family to stay in while visiting family for thanksgiving We got a king plus sofa bed suite along with a suite that had two queens plus a sofa bed

Both rooms were clean and well stocked with everything you need including microwave, dishes, dishwasher, silverware, fridge, toaster, blow dryer, and a nice table on wheels that can be used for dining or as a desk They also offer a burner plate if you want a stove top cooking experience Just ask the front desk and it’s freeThe daily free breakfast has lots to choose from including waffles, eggs, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, granola, cereal, toast, juices, etc They were also great about wiping down tables and sweeping/mopping the floorsThe front desk always had someone present, and they were quick to help with extra towels, blankets, a free toothbrush, bottles of water, etcThere was ample parking, an indoor pool, gym, and laundry facility The AC in the room was nice and quietThe only thing to be aware of is they allow dogs in this hotel They have a policy that if you can’t keep your dog quiet, they will refer you to a local boarding house to keep your dog at We didn’t bring a pet and only briefly heard barking I’m sure this will vary for everyoneOverall, a clean hotel with prompt service

The hotel was clean And comfortable with a nice kitchenette in the room Bedding was comfortable and everything worked well The gym equipment was awesome, the Precor brand and fun

The only complaint I have is the snack bar they have to buy snacks was Ridiculously priced 400 for a 20 ounce bottle of coke, or chips, 4 seems to be their favorite number for their overpriced snacks If you go, do not buy their snacks, you’ll pay less at a convenience store or at Trader Joe’s If it weren’t for their snack hype, it would have been rated a 5 star for me

Chris Hoven

We booked a two queen room for our family of four through the Hilton app We got there, and we were moved four times before putting us in a room with one bed and a pullout couch We were also told that breakfast went until 10am, but when we got down to the lobby at 9:10 they were closed

Brought these points up to Ashley at the front desk when we checked out and she was extremely rude Told me they were oversold on queen rooms, and implied it was somehow my fault that we had booked it She rudely pointed to a sign at the front desk that said breakfast ended at 9 and told me I should have read the sign, and she would tell her night crew to start reading the sign too Funny thing was, I got on the elevator to go back upstairs and there were two other people that were told the same thing Definitely will not be staying here again

James Muse

I arrived in the middle of the night from a long day of travel I was greeted by Kiarra who ran to do the door to let me in and got me keys to my room in a very efficient manner Kiarra was extremely friendly even though I was in a bad mood from my day

She was so sweet that I actually took the time to apologize to her and recognized her ability to not allow my sour mood affect her service I could feel her smile through her mask and the sense of urgency to help me in any way I needed When I got to my room there were snacks on the counter- strangely and I think coincidentally, there were some of my favorites My room was very clean as well Thank you Kiarra for making my awful day of travel better! We need more people like her in the hospitality business!

First off, I am the type of guy who is super lenient and laid back in fact I believe this is the first time I’ve ever given a bad review on google We showed up to a room that was just terribly dirty Asked for a vacuum they said no is it okay if they clean first thing tomorrow

We said that’s perfect! The next day at 2 pm I went down to ask if they were going to clean our room and they said yes we will have someone get right to it 4:30 our room got cleaned The following day we went out all day then came back at 7pm Our room hadn’t been cleaned You have to ask everyday for them to clean your room which we were never told Me and my fiancé have never experienced this We’ve experienced typical bad hotels here and there where you see like one piece of hair on the ground Our room had long black hairs every where in the bathroom floor Didn’t know it was as bad as it was until I swept the floor with a towel Nail clippings in the carpet and sticky grape juice like stains all over the walls I wouldn’t of posted this if someone would’ve simply told us that we had to request room cleaning That topped this 4 day trip!

Not a good experience! No hot water Their was no one available to clean our roomThe room was run down, dirty

We were excited to get in the spa and let the jets hit our painful joints however their was no jets, the indoor pool was so foggy from the heat off the pool and what ever kind of spa that was made the windows steam so bad it was hard to breath or see The hotel was dirty and run down such a disappointment for being outta state and not knowing the area Save your money dont stay here

Booked a room with roll in shower accommodations 2 1/2 months in advance for Christmas week They only have 1 such room, apparently, and gave it away to someone else It was stressful to know what to do, but the woman at the front desk helped locate such a room at another hotel

Since we lost so much time and had to travel more, they gave us a voucher to pay the first night Fast forward 3 months—manager refused to pay the other hotel for the night that was promised So it was just added to my credit card with no warning And when I try to inquire about it, the manager won’t take my call or call back So ridiculous Don’t expect to find a room with accommodations here You may be very disappointed

We’re IHG members and generally trust the brand This wasn’t a total miss but it wasn’t a total hitThe location was great for our purpose for being in town

We were attending an event at the Frisco Convention Center and this hotel was literally half the price of the Embassy Suites which is attached to the Convention center About a 10 min drive so we’ll worth itThe breakfast was OK Only 1 type of yogurt – strawberry, my least favorite Otherwise the usual fare although they only had bacon one day (not sure why)The mini fridge in the room was a ceaseless sound box, to the point where we unplugged it nightly to be able to sleepThere was no shampoo in the shower — 2 body soaps, one conditioner, and no shampoo When I asked at the desk for shampoo, I was told housekeeping would address it later OKI’d already showered using the body soap but it shouldn’t have been missingFinally we always take the stairs and the carpeted landing left something to be desired – heavily stained but thankfully, not stinky

We were so excited to set up a hotel block at the Holiday Inn-Frisco East location for our wedding We began the process with the sales department (had an initial phone call and email exchange), only to be ghosted after leaving multiple members of the team countless emails and voicemails for more than a month Thankfully, we found another hotel with excellent customer service that can host our guests

Holiday Inn missed out an opportunity to host 100+ of our guests from out of town

The bathroom has a constant scent of sewage or number two The scent hits you as soon as you walk in every time The side tables looks like juices from a male were still on it

Was here for almost a whole week and the cleaning people never came Bed was never made and had to go get my own towels When to the front desk multiple all they keep telling me is, the cleaning crew should have been there by now No one has came to take out trash When I asked what to do with my dirty towels they just tell me to throw them in the hall way They got picked up the next day but I still didn’t get my room cleaned The string to pull up the second shade on the window is gone So I can’t even have complete sunlight in my room

I really love this hotel We checked in at 1am and there was staff waiting at the desk, which I haven’t seen often at other hotels I appreciated being given my choice of floors

The pillow-top mattresses were very comfortable and there were both cotton and feather pillows on the beds The bathroom was well lit and spacious with Paul Mitchell bath products in the shower 😍 A free breakfast was served from 630am-9am with breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruit, yogurt, waffles, and breakfast pastries available Very comfortable and enjoyable stay I will return

John Caver answered the phone and was attentive and accommodating We ended up checking in and he went above and beyond to make our stay special The hotel has a grill at the pool and a fire pit

The kids had a great time and I was able to squeeze a little work in The King suite has plenty of room and couch bed was comfortable for our 11 year old The location has plenty of restaurants near by Overall 5 star experience

Shannon Singleton

We stayed for 7 nights and never once saw a housekeeper We ran out of toilet paper, soap, towels daily, was asked to leave our trash cans in the hallway for pick up The hotel is poorly staffed and therefore is dirty and not kept up

The rooms are nice but the cleanliness of the hotel is poor Workout room was dirty and obviously the equipment is never wiped down, floor was gross The weight set went from a set of 5’s to 15’s and then 25’s and up Overall the hotel needs more staffing and an emphasis on cleanliness

I had my family from Mexico City stay at this hotel Well the experience was terrible!!! Room was dirty and drawers were broke When I brought it to the attention to the lady at the front she stated WOW you would put your clothes in the drawer???? My family was behind me so I did not respond how I should have! I said lady I stay at hotels all over the world and yes I use the drawers to put my clothes!!! What a response !!! Her attitude was unprofessional and rude, and I saw her interactions with other people like that! At night I spoke with Cori and informed her of my situation! She was amazing! Night and day difference! She was apologetic and understanding, told me to contact the manager Mr

Love I spoke with Mr Love and he was professional and apologetic! But his solutions were not reasonable, since the stay was booked through Expedia he could not refund anything Free credit to stay or vouchers, well I live here and those will not work and I will never stay or recommend this hotel! He stated he will speak with the owners and send me a partial refund via check One week has gone by and nothing I will call Mr Love On Tuesday July 5th and I will escalate to the news or whomever I need to as the owners does not seem to care Well Once I post all the pictures I took of how dirty the room was they will be obligated to do something ! I will call the health inspectors etc! How I was treated should not be tolerated! I will update as soon as I receive news Pictures will be posted today as well

The entire building smelled like mildew There was no escaping it It was in the lobby, the hallways, the room

It was miserable I was visiting and was afraid this is just how it was in TX We stayed one miserable night, then moved to Super8 It was less classy, but the air and building were clean and the management was wonderful Something is very wrong at the La Quinta Our trip was in Oct 2021

Eulaine Mcintosh

This is our 2nd stay at this particular La Quinta Our room, the lobby and public areas are clean and fresh like new However some of the Amenities were lacking

The business center printer would not print, the volume of the fitness center TV didn’t work and treadmill wouldn’t start These may seem like minor things, but these amenities determine our choosing the hotel The owner of the hotel needs to make sure these things are in order as advertised
