Great place to stay Amazing staff, front desk manager and supervisor are caring and engaged They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable

The food at the rooftop restaurant is great for a team outing The drinks are top notch If you have an issue ask for Shawn or Meltia I see them both as general manager material Note: just don’t get a room under the gym

Joelle Fiedorowicz

I had a king room with Lakeview and the room I stayed in lived up to that for the most part I had a view of the lake but mainly the tops of buildings as I was on the 7th floor It was very clean, bed was comfortable and the room was nice and quiet other than the slamming doors of the other rooms

Valet parking was a nice addition and affordable Didn’t eat at the hotel but the restaurant on the top floor had amazing views and the food smelled really good Great location and within walking distance of a lot of shops, restaurants, and activities Will stay again

Unfortunately I’m giving 1 star instead of 4 The only reason being is I do not feel the elevators at this hotel were safe Which is the most important factor imo

My friends and I rode down to our floor (3) from the restaurant (9) and the elevator quite literally dropped us, and then malfunctioned back and forth to floor 5 and 4 a few times before opening and letting us out We were all so traumatized, I called the front desk, and immediately the employee asked if it was elevator number 3 as if it’s happened before (It was actually elevator number 1 this time)Safe to say we took the stairs Beware of the elevators for your safety!

The staff was super friendly and attentive My Room was beautiful and very clean Room service was quick , and delicious and it was a 90 second walk to the Orpheum theater that we were in town to see a show for

I also really appreciated that the room floors require a key for the elevator as they had a convention going on and lots of non overnight traffic in the hotel I couldn’t ask for more and will definitely stay again if I come into town

Heiner Schwutke

Rooms were nice The front desk was amazing However they only clean the rooms every 4 days

I can understand only changing the sheets every 4 days but to go 4 days without having your garbage emptied is a little overboard If you ask, they will have your room cleaned But for the price I paid for the room, I would expect the room cleaned daily

Katie Lange

My friends and I didn’t stay too long, we only stayed one night for a concert but had a pleasant stay all the same! You could smell the faint scent of bleach in the hallways which tells me they’re deep cleaning and I’m very grateful for that The room itself looked brand new and was very clean as well The only issue we had with the room was the bathroom doors are barn doors

It’s a very odd choice because you can see the toilet through the crack of the door where the hinges would go if it were a normal one But if you don’t sit on the edge of the bed closest to the bathroom it doesn’t matter that much The beds were comfy as well and I liked there were outlets next to the beds too The parking garage was right next door and has a doorway on the main floor that leads right to the hotel which is very convenient When I checked out, I unfortunately am unsure who I spoke to, but the two women who helped me were incredibly friendly and one of them struck up a conversation with me about the show I went to the previous night It was a small thing but I really appreciated her interest nonetheless! If I find myself in Madison again I will definitely be back!

Travis Raddatz

Rooms were very well kept and modern Everything in my room was clean when I entered I tried ordering food from the bar with cash, and somehow the employee wasn’t able to accept it and ultimately it got charged to my room

Now I’ll have to explain to my work why food was charged to my room and not paid for A simple issue will now turn into a big hassle, that is why I took 2 stars off service

From the silent traveler as I’ve always stated no hotel will be 100% perfect what will determine a good hotel is a representative of that hotel when matters come before them This hotel is really good it has a wonderful pool that you can see it also has a sauna which is really nice

There is a lot offered in this hotel more than other hotels But again really nice to relax and enjoy your stay in the area Very close to restaurants in walking distance so you don’t have to go far You could order but again very close and walking distance The room really nice as usual great bed to sleep in you will definitely get a good night rest Internet connection also really good This is my second time staying in there and I must say it gets better each time customer service was really great The gym very nice to work out in and the one thing that I found at the hotel this time that wasn’t there last time it’s mouthwash which is really nice I updated the photos so you can see that they do have mouthwash as well And I didn’t get my cookie apparently something was wrong with the oven

Kay R

Very clean and felt safe inside We initially parked on the side of the hotel which we didn’t feel really comfortable with the foot traffic on the side so we parked in front of the hotel which was a lot better Very quiet on our floor

The snacks downstairs were a bit overpriced & no complimentary breakfast for the amount of money you pay for a room They do have an on-site resteraunt but we didn’t use it We had to call down twice each time we needed housekeeping to bring something Bed left our backs hurting but the room was clean Fresh cookie was a good touch when you check in We did not use the pool but it looked really nice

Jude M-C

I was in town for a family wedding This is by far the cleanest and nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in The hotel staff provided red carpet white glove service

Highly recommend spending the night here for a few days Perfect opportunity for a family gathering or friends to hang out in a bar area and catch up Very comfortable and relaxing

We were really looking forward to our stay at the Edgewater Hotel, but sadly, we were very disappointed by our stay Even though our multiple visits to their restaurants and bars have always been disappointing (there’s just not many on-the-water options in Madison, which is why we always return to their gorgeous location) due to poor/slow service and extremely high prices for sub-par food and service, we had high hopes for the hotel stay While the hotel is gorgeous, it’s the lack of customer service and attention to detail that disappointed us

We had our Do Not Disturb sign on our door as we were in desperate need of sleeping in At 8AM on a Sunday, a cleaning staff person knocked and walked into our room – even though we had Do Not Disturb sign on the door The front desk was unsympathetic about it Our room service breakfast was terrible for a “luxury” hotel The coffee was so weak it was undrinkable The bagel and packaged cream cheese were fine, but the fruit salad was defrosted frozen fruit The creamer was individual shelf-stable creamers, not real cream in a creamer service Just so disappointing for a $30 breakfast, that should have been free since we were woken up unnecessarily The rooms were nicely appointed, but the bathroom is poorly lit making it difficult to get ready/do make-up, etc There isn’t anywhere to hang towels, either This might seem very nit-picky, but for a $300/night room in Madison, Wisconsin, one would hope to have a more luxurious experience

Collette McDonald

We had a girls spa day The location is gorgeous Some of the treatment rooms overlook the water

Beautifully appointed The only rub for this spa is the lack of silence from the staff when near the relaxation area and treatment rooms Our first impression was the manager taking a cell call as we were getting a tour and the use of outside voices vs spa level communication It would also be a nice feature if spa guest could reserve a table at the boathouse vs having to go to the restaurant to ensure names are on the list Little things that add up

Mary Ashworth

Madison was a new experience for us What a nice city It feels so much safer than Chicago! We actually walked around at night without feeling the need to look over our shoulders

We were at the Edgewater for a business meeting It is a great hotel with a beautiful view The rooms are large, clean and comfortableWe had a nice cocktail reception on the varanda with dinner to follow The bartender was so sweet and the waitstaff was very accommodatingI will say that the lighting in the lovely bathroom is not bright enough to apply makeup Most hotel bathroom are that way these daysKeep up the great work Edgewater!

Highly recommended! Now I know why there are so many 5-start reviews! What an absolutely lovely 4-night stay Few times have I come across such a connected and gracious host as the hotel owner, PeggyFrom delightful conversation over breakfast, to helping us make the most of our stay, Peggy was a delight

Plus, her two beloved dogs Ezra and Hugo made the experience even brighterThe hotel has loads of old-world charm The room was clean, cozy, and well appointed The grounds are pretty, with easy access to a pier on the lakefront to watch the sunsetWe’ll go back just to do it all over again

Alicia Brown

Peggy welcomed us into one of the most inviting and kind environments for our stay in Madison! Such an incredible experience staying in such an appreciated and well-kept historical building Family breakfasts and conversations in the parlor with complimentary glasses of wine Our stay couldn’t have been more perfect! In fact, we were so perfectly happy that my best friend and partner asked me to spend the rest of my life with him while I danced around the fireplace in the William T

Leitch room! 15/10 will be back

Kris Adler

Everything about our stay at The Livingston Inn was fantastic!Peggy, the proprietor, was super friendly and welcoming Her breakfasts were delicious and filling, and the breakfast table conversations were just as good as the food! The room was spacious and comfortable, as were the common rooms, and the lovely groundsThe inn is set in the Leitch House, a beautiful example of 19th century Gothic Revival architecture listed on the National Register of Historic Places

Overall I really enjoyed my stay I was in Madison for business This location was close to where I needed to be

The price point here is amazing The staff was extremely friendly upon checking in and checking out There is free breakfast in the mornings as well The mall is close if that is your thing I consider it to be within walking distance Not too much night life around here though I will more than likely book here again on my next stopThis Radisson has strayed me away from my Go-To (Mariott)A smart key would be nice (use my watch or phone as the room key Marriott and Hilton have this feature) I could not figure out how to navigate their mobile app

Lin An

Rooms are a bit outdated and cramped feeling but was clean Bed was comfortable Hallway noise was extremely loud

Worst part was the pool There were multiple bugs in the pool area and in the pool itself Ants, millipede and some kind of beetle Clumps of hair and ants in hot tub and jets did not work either So incredibly gross We tried to leave a couple hours after checking in but couldn’t find another hotel with availability that night Was able to cancel the rest of our reservation and stayed elsewhere The lady at the front desk was very kind and understanding

Arrived at the hotel and my first experience was the above exceptional customer service The lady at the front desk was very helpful and professional The hotel has a restaurant, a pool, and a jacuzzi, which are all accomodations that I like to look for in a stay

The hotel was very clean, and smelled good My room was also very clean The breakfast was simple but had everything I was looking for, eggs, and sausage I was greeted when entering the breakfast area by a friendly hotel worker The prices are way below the other hotels in the area 10/10

Beautifully remodeled modern style hotel Great service from the staff The room we had was without any windows though

Instead it had a door to the inside pool area While some might find that a preferred convenience, If we did it again, all 5 of us would prefer a window room instead next time Other than that the stay was good The pool here is geared towards small kids only

Joyce Marx

The staff is incredibly nice I didn’t get her name, but the girl who checked me in was very sweet and helpful Thank you for a wonderful stay! I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m in Madison

When we went in to the pool, it was closing in 30 minutes No one has been using the waterside so it had been turned off The lifeguard working turned it back on so my nephew could use it Even though she was closing in 30 minutes she never made us feel rushed and we enjoyed our time in the water park This was the evening of Tuesday March 2 Thank you!

Michele Ashbeck

There were some positive things about our stay, but I feel like the bad outweighed the good Starting with the good; the rooms were very clean and the pool area is great, with wonderful lifeguards Now the bad

When we booked the room we booked a 1st floor poolside room, when we checked in our room was on the second floor Checkout is at 11am, which is fine, but the pool doesn’t open until 9am, and when we were here they didn’t open it until 10 minutes after 9 They also didn’t open the water slide in the morning There isn’t a free continental breakfast, you have to pay $5 per adult and $3 per child Having to pay for breakfast we assumed everything was included, but only milk, water or coffee was included for drinks, no fruit juice We also thought we would get refills on our drinks, especially since we had to pay, but no one came around for refills Overall it seemed like this hotel likes to nickle-and-dime their guests while having subpar service and limited pool time

It had all the cooking utensils we needed, dishes, etc The location is really cool too because it’s nice and quiet, but close enough to everything I will definitely return If you haven’t stayed here yet, you definitely should You won’t be disappointed

All around great experience Front desk staff members were friendly and informative Room (studio) was clean and surprisingly spacious for the price

Room was quiet during my entire stay Complementary breakfast was decent with a good amount of selection and daily variety The only gripe I can think of was the gym was quite limited outside of cardio Overall, I definitely enjoyed my stay here

Comfortable, clean and quiet with awesome staff! After check in we had lovely complimentary evening snack with really quite nice wine and beer options followed by dinner at an excellent restaurant just up the street Looking forward to what looks to be a great breakfast with oatmeal and waffles Had a nice deep bath and about to drift off to sleep in our very comfy bed

Highly recommend!

Derek Blume

Quite disappointed with this place It is right offthe corner of two very busy roads, one an expressway However, the rooms have no sound proofing

It seems the front desk was unwilling to enforce the no-smoking policy Our floor smelled of marijuana both evenings of our stay Pets seem to be allowed, which would be fine except they allowed big dogs and people kept their animals in their room all alone for they day We had constant noise from a large dog in the room above ours all night long The televisions in the room were very out of date The underground parking garage was nice except for the cloud of cigarette smoke in there The pool and workout areas were nice The breakfast was only fair

I would advise seeking an alternative My parents are in their 70’s and my Dad is a double-lung transplant recipient Upon taking a serious turn in his health, he was flown to WI in a medivac plane from KY

My Mom got him situation in ICU and finally made it back to the hotel after 2am She left in the morning with the shuttle and was taken to the hospital…after returning at about 5pm, she went into the restroom and found someone had been in her room and vomited in the toilet They did not clean up their mess She needed to go to the restroom, so quickly cleaned it and made her way up the long hallway to report the incident They did bring a device down and found someone entered her room at 3:05pm The question was asked if could have been my Mom, my Dad or family…again, she was alone and took their shuttle to hospital She realized a small birthstone ring was missing from her nightstand (she had all of her other jewelry) and was upset Me being helpless in the situation I asked that she file a complaint with management A person working the desk explained he,”was in a bad mood and wouldn’t see guest” The direction given was to call the police My Mom was in no position to be going through that, and placing any loss to her on her was absurd, especially considering everything she had been through She left the next morning and was shuttled to a new hotel I have sought answers to policy and ask if the person was an employee and do they still work there and have gotten no where Simply getting her ring back would have dissolved the situation The recap from corporate is my Mom was switched rooms…she wasn’t She was offered but declined, as she isn’t in great shape herself to be moving rooms And that she left in a good mood, trust me when I tell you, that certainly wasn’t the case If you are a woman traveling alone, I would never recommend this hotel Also, no one at any level appears to care about your concerns I asked to speak to a Regional Manager to review policy on theft and corporate office bounced my concern right back to the property, promising a call back within 48 hours After 4 days, I responded to the email that I hadn’t been able to speak to someone Today’s email had the recap of everything they did to rectify (which was basically nothing), ending their insight to the matter I am not one to write a bad review, but clearly someone at that property isn’t opposed to inviting themselves into guest rooms…

Easy check in but when asked about the shuttle, we were informed it was not availableOur room door was ajar, which was disconcerting We had a cleaning crew worker contact maintenance to find out they were fixing door and we may need to move

We did not unpack Later, when the maintenance worker fixed our door, we practiced locking/unlocking to our satisfaction Ten minutes later, our door opens!!!! No knock or verbal warning! What lack of communication! Why would they even give us that particular room when there are six floors of them!

VERY UNCLEAN AND RUDE, STAY ANYWHERE ELSEWhen we first checked in, our pillow cases had stains and blood spatters on them I was told if I wanted new sheets I would have to change them myself so I asked for a new room The second room had hair on the wall and a huge greasy stain on the headboard, plus more stains on sheets

Was again told there would be no one to clean it so was given a third room The third room had a broken AC/HEATER so we either had to sleep with no heating and cooling or try to sleep to a loud banging sound the whole night When I complained to the manager she was extremely rude but promised me that I would be refunded my points for my stay Instead I recieved $75 so will now need to call Marriott to sort out Cancelled our second night and stayed at AC Hotel in Madison AC hotel in Madison is 10-20 bucks more and absolutely divine Clean, updated rooms with incredible staff and delicious restaurant facing the capital Spend the money there or save money and stay somewhere else Just don’t stay at the Sheraton Madison

I stayed here for 3 nights in early June 2022 I am appalled that this place is allowed under the Marriott nameUpon arrival (we did not need the airport shuttle during arrival) we asked about being added to the complimentary airport shuttle for departure day and were told the shuttle is not running and we would have to call down to the front desk the day we were leaving

The hotel would then call the cab service of their choice and comp the cost of the cab The day my mother left, she began calling the front desk and for 20 minutes received no answer She went to the front desk and no one was there except a security guard who would not assist her 23 minutes later a “manager” finally showed up and called a cab but didn’t provide the voucher for the cab ride so the driver had to go back into the hotel and spend another 5 minutes obtaining that My mom made it to the gate as her flight was boardingWhen I checked out a few hours later and asked about this I was told it was a private security matter and all guests were safe and it was none of my business None of this aggressive response provided any explanation as to why they couldn’t provide a service that was listed as available on their website When I said that to the woman checking me out she became more aggressive that their security issue was none of my business When I shared this with my mom later she said that she saw no police, fire or any emergency services when waiting for assistance so I really don’t understand where their 24/7 staff was The lack of enough staff needs to be reflected in what amenities they have and their website needs to be updated to indicate what they do have so guests can make an informed decision while staying thereI worked part of the time during my stay Their workstations are not private so I worked in my room Their hotel photos show a desk and office chair but in actuality the rooms don’t have that set up making work difficultOn our first morning I was working in my room and housekeeping knocked and opened the door before I could even respond Apparently someone didn’t update our arrival and checkout days so housekeeping had a wrong list of which rooms to cleanThe main lobby and outside seating seemed nice at a quick glance but upon further inspection dust and excessive cobwebs cover the outdoor lights, crumbs and bird droppings are all over the outside seating and the inside area has sticky surfaces The room itself had dust and cobwebs in the windowsills and dust on the top shelf where thr inroom coffee isThe staff is either nice but lacking in knowledge or rude and aggressiveI had other family staying at the comfort inn next door which for 10 dollars less a night had larger rooms, a cleaner pool and outside seating area and complimentary full breakfastI would never stay at this hotel again and would encourage anyone to avoid it It’s poorly managed and clearly employees, including the manager, don’t care about the incorrect information on their website and how this is reflects on their service The price I paid for services received is a jokeI’m also having to keep an eye on my credit card as I see my amount as having been paid 3 days ago but the same amount is listed as pending payment todayThis hotel is horribly run and clearly has some process issues they need to correct A cute car in the lobby does not make for a positive hotel stay as a guest given all of their problems

The Buckingham Inn is the cutest, homiest, warmest, most inviting, and excellent place to stay in all of Madison, if you ask me Especially if you’re going to a game at Camp Randall Stadium They have thought of EVERYTHING down to the last detail, even having your name on a list with the State Police to allow you access to the parking lot

The proprietors communicate well, give great advice of where to eat, and provide an amazing and delicious spread for breakfast! We were in the Varsity Suite over the weekend and it was truly like coming home But to a home with a jacuzzi tub and four-headed showerWe already said that when we come back to Madison, this is where we are going to stay Thank you for sharing your wonderful B&B!

Heidi and Tom’s Buckingham Inn B&B was a perfect retreat for our Homecoming trip to UW! The Varsity Suite was fantastic, especially the fireplace given the chilly weather The bedding, pillows and mattress were very comfortable The Kohler shower was very relaxing; while we didn’t use the whirlpool tub, I’m sure it would also be a soothing oasis

The sun porch was a great place to read and unwind Each morning the breakfast was absolutely delicious and very filling Heidi and Tom’s communication is too rare We will definitely stay here again and have already recommended the Inn to many friends and family!

Stayed here for my second time in March and my daughter’s seventh time at this hotel The hotel is so quiet and I got a good night’s sleep which is rare for me Bed was very comfortable

Very nice personable male front desk clerk Safe underground parking Coming back in June and getting 2 rooms at that time

Very safe, quiet location Walking distance from shopping and food Rooms were clean and very nice

I would recommend and I def would stay again The only thing negative I noticed was the bathroom didn’t have a fan/vent built in Parking in the garage was an extra charge each day (which I think should be FREE for the hotel fee/stay) but I still paid it anyways and I felt it was worth it

This hotel has quiet rooms, a bar in the lobby, and a pleasant staff Housekeeping is on request but the amenities in the room last a single person a week The breakfast is included and is pretty decent

There is not a restaurant in the hotel but it is located right next to a shopping complex with multiple restaurants I would definitely stay there again
