Room was pleasant, toilet was temperamental but overall it was very comfortable The rooftop bar area is very pleasant with a wonderful view (see pics) The staff are friendly and helpful

The attached Shula restaurant, although very pricey, produced one of the best steaks I have ever had The breakfast restaurant also makes a nice breakfast Overall, a good stay, but I think the room prices are on the expensive side

maxine Jacobowitz

We came to take our daughter up for orientation The staff was very attentive Makel was there to help with our luggage and he even brought us cold water to our room on his own

From check in until we left it was perfect Amber at the rooftop bar was so nice Gave us suggestions and makes good old fashion The housekeeping staff Sabrina Owens and Stefanie Martin went above and beyond to make our stay more comfortable We will be back

I wish that I had more photos to post Our overnight business trip began with the exceptional check in service we received from the front desk team Next, we headed up to happy hour where the bar tender and one of the hotel managers greeted us to make sure all was well

The exceptional service continued as we dined at Shula’s where are server made excellent recommendations and didn’t skip a beat She The following morning, I witnessed something rare During my treadmill run, I noticed a manager (the suit was a give away) carrying towels into the fitness center, he proceeded to fold the towels and replenish the bottled water for guests I typically see house keeping taking care of these duties I am a firm believer that exceptional business operations & execution starts at the top I can’t remember the last time I had a customer service experience where there entire team upheld the same 5 star standard This will be my company’s hotel of choice during each Tallahassee trip

This is a nice, big hotel in the downtown area of Tallahassee The rooms are nice with a mini fridge, coffee maker, iron, safe, TV and individual AC Great water pressure in the shower

Liquid soap, shampoo and body wash from dispensers in the shower Comfortable beds and thick towels The staff is super friendly and the hotel is pet friendly Parking is close for a $15/night fee There is a bar in the lobby with a big snack bar The place can be a bit noisy since there are dogs staying here(We heard a few barks only) if you are sensitive to this

Jason Weaver

What a great place Staff is super super friendly Really cool vibe-lively bar, pool table, nice pool area

Dog friendly-there’s even a rescue dog to play with in the lobby Everything is METICULOUSLY clean Good menu and they serve food late Good sized rooms Just a cozy fun modern place, staffed by really good people; really enjoyed our stay here

I only went there for a birthday party so I did not see the pool or the rooms or the restaurant The desk clerk was very helpful in finding the party He knew the name of the person throwing the party and he walked me back to the room where the party was

The young lady who set up the food and the drinks did excellent job the music was very nice not too loud so we could have conversations I wish I knew the lady’s name that did the setup I’d leave it right here for you but her name was Georgia Kellogg and that’s all I know for sure she was very friendly and very knowledgeable knowledgeable about her job

Clean, staff was friendly, and we were able to find parking There is a club nearby though and you can hear the music, so if you’re a light sleeper, that may bother you It didn’t bother us, we rather enjoyed the song selections! Great staff and location Nice decorRooms need better lighting in bathroom, it’s too dim Would be nice to have a microwave on the room to reheat coffee, that’s just a personal preference

The sitting area could use a mirror as well Last time ate at the restaurant food was great Last night, not so much and server needs to be on it better Had to go up to her while she was chatting with hostess The place was pretty empty Also found the A/C lacking I love the location but they need to up their game for the prices the charge

Valerie Tucciarone

Had a great stay! All the staff from the restaurant/bar to the front desk and housekeeping were fantasticWould’ve liked to see some more options on-site for dining but there were plenty of places nearby to eat so it was all goodThe rooms were great! Lighting was a little strange as the nightstand lighting couldn’t be turned on without the overhead lights

The hallways looked like they could use a little love but that’s really nitpicking as I had an amazing stayWould DEF stay again!

My husband and I reserved a hotel room for Valentine’s Day We were excited to have some time to ourselves There was an option on the website that included breakfast and parking in addition to the room

It cost more money but we wanted to make it easy so we paid the additional fee The price came to 28238 with tax The hotel lobby was nice and we did eat in the restaurant downstairs which was excellent It was refreshing to see a hotel use local businesses to serve food and coffee Our room however was messy and there was a huge crack with a hole in the ceiling above our shower The bed was comfortable and my husband and I both slept well The next morning my husband went downstairs to get our breakfast and was told that we did not pay for breakfast and there was no such deal they provided He came back to the room frustrated so I called and spoke with a manager who said no we did not pay for breakfast or parking I told her I had the email proving we did pay for the additional services After clacking away at her keys she then stated that yes we had paid for breakfast and parking My husband went back downstairs and ordered our breakfast which was even better than our dinner the night before The food at least was delicious When we went to check out I asked the hotel clerk specifically if my card had been charged anything additional He assured me it had not, checked us out and emailed a copy of my receipt Imagine my surprise when I looked at the receipt and the total was 33038 ( they had charged us again for breakfast and parking) even after they said no additional charges I went back inside and showed them my email that proved parking and breakfast were included and had been paid for They refunded the 4800 and sent me a new receipt that totaled 28238 Tonight I was checking my credit card statement and guess what, I had 2 charges from hotel indigo One for 4800 and one for 33038 They did refund the 4800 charge but the room charge was still 33038 and should have been 28238 Basically they charged us for breakfast and parking 3 times I have disputed this charge with my credit card company and wanted to write a review that we would never be staying at this hotel again They were dishonest from the start, I say this because when we checked in I told the clerk that we had a package deal including parking and breakfast, he just kind of nodded but never gave us the vouchers to get the additional services If we had not checked our bill and credit card statement we would have been charged multiple times for something we already paid for I feel like this is a scam, charge your guest and if you get caught say sorry but if you don’t get caught then you’ve made extra money If you stay at this hotel eye your bill closely for additional charges including your statement several days later I bet they are making a killing by double and triple charging their guests

This is a nice hotel with super nice staff The place is modern and attractive and the breakfast was fantastic Best omelette ever

The only down side was we were on ground floor and besides being loud the screen appeared to have been pulled off the window several times and had holes which made us nervous Also bathroom needed a bit more cleaning

Mark Poole

This was the WORST experience I have ever had at a hotel I’m a frequent traveler, but the front desk staff had ZERO care about anything

I confirmed several times prior to the visit that our room would be ready prior to our arrival It was important because I was traveling for a work event and had my family with me I was assured it would be, but it wasn’t They are completely unorganized and the front desk staff couldn’t have been worse They were literally doing the bare minimum Customer care overall was completely a mess and it took several days to even speak with anyone who could actually try to help Once they did and finally agreed to a small refund they even managed to mess that up! Overpromised and way undelivered The hotel is just OK, but all of this would have been avoided if they just offered some basic customer service Hard pass on this hotel there are way to many other options that would be way better! – UPDATE : Corporate was not helpful and neither was the management company

John Everett

The room we had was okay however when we went for breakfast the next morning they said they had to look it up and see if we had that in our package For $156 I would have thought breakfast would have been included But when we asked about it the girl behind the desk jumped on the phone so I left

We went to Waffle House and it was great Last time I spent $156 for one night and a hotel and don’t even get a complimentary breakfast

This place is the second best hotel I have ever stayed in The parking is plentiful, the hotel is clean, the humidity is low, beds are comfortable, the bathroom is really nice and the shower is great The breakfast is the best I’ve had

So many choices there is no way someone can’t find something they like The reason why it’s the second best is because the top choice had fruit infused water in the lobby and this hotel only has plain, chilled water (still good though) 10/10 would definitely recommend

Angela Thompson

Great place!!Very conscious of health & safetyI had no hot water on my last 24 hours and had to plunge my own toilet when a child overloaded it with paper And that is why I rated lower than I usually would

And side note: Fairfield/ Marriott, PLEASE change your powdered eggs and gross sausage patties for breakfast!! Try it & you’ll agree

J. Elizabeth Lasanta

The check in was slow and frustrating

the charge machine kept charging my card but reportedly kept declining Had me worried that so far from homeThe staff was super friendly and very helpfulThe room was not as clean as I expect from Marriott

Marriott Gold Member I’m typing this at 1am

This is a great hotel if you don’t want to get any sleep The music from the bar across the street is ridiculously loud and no amount of ear plugs or white noise from my phone can block it out Avoid this place until they figure a way to soundproof the windows I’ve stayed in Times Square in NYC and haven’t heard stuff like thisUpdate: the management reached out to me in the morning and was sympathetic to our issue I understand it’s not the hotels fault and hopefully the city will implement some policy to stop the noise, especially during a weeknight at a reasonable hour The hotel is very clean and everyone is very nice Breakfast and coffee in the morning was good and the staff did a good job of keeping the tables clean even with the morning rush Bed was comfortable I updated to three stars as my original star rating was done at 1 am and I was exhausted I would give it 4 or 5 if not for the club noise

Rebecca

Attended my daughter’s FSU graduation and stayed here overnight Pleasant room, great mattress and the shower was amazing! For guests of the hotel there was Sangria and a keg of beer in the lobby The morning breakfast was delicious with a ton of choices

We also met some great people Its a pet friendly hotel, and very clean We really enjoyed our stay

enes karaaslan

The hotel room is nice You pretty much have everything you need The room size is quite big

But the insanely loud techno music coming from across street is unbearable! It’s almost impossible to sleep and it continues all night I am just curious how they get away with this blasting music in this hotels block I feel like the hotel doesn’t care as much about this issue either It’s unfortunate the guests can’t even rest in this nice hotel

Just got back from the Hyatt House Tallahassee Capitol- University and it was the best hotel experience I have had in Tallahassee in my 15+ years of traveling in town The staff- everyone, is exceptional The rooms were very clean and had great amenities

The gym and pool were amazing The location was awesome The bar was awesome- the two bartenders who helped us all (a large group)- thank you! I left and ended up leaving a few items and everyone I have spoken to has been beyond helpful in getting back to me This is now my choice hotel when I go back Thank you ALL!

Madison Owens

Place is beautiful! Well done! The 2 ladies who cook breakfast are freaking amazing! They wanted to know about our day and if we enjoyed our stay and they felt like genuine nice people who cared about us True southern hospitality Rooms were clean and tidy

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because, we didn’t arrive until 1130 PM on 2/4/2022 You have to ring the doorbell to get in that late The girl that was working that night was passed out in the lobby A guest heard us and let us in, I had to ask the woman to give us our room She was obviously bothered I needed a room key to a room I already booked and paid for She was rude, short, and didn’t like the fact that I woke her up from her nap

Elizabeth Thomason

hotel is very clean, cute, and in a great location the arts district is perfect to walk around and find delicious food the pool was the perfect size and the PERFECT temperature- could have stayed just on the grounds and around the neighborhood for my whole weekend! I had originally booked through a third party agency and had a slight snafu at check in when adding an additional night, however everyone I interacted with at the desk was very pleasant and helped me get exactly what I needed

I will definitely stay here again!

Yes, Yes, and YES!!! You have made the correct choice if you choose to stay here, but make sure you add on a dinner in your reservation otherwise you are still missing outThe grounds, the owners, the stories, the other guests, the FOOD! Literally everything was surprising great What a blessing to have stumbled on this stay as our honeymoon, and more than likely we will be back throughout the decades if they keep their doors open

Highly recommended! WAY Better than the website pictures dare to suggest

We were passing through and needed to find a comfortable, not expensive place to stay the night There were many hotels choices in this area but this Holyday Inn stood out thanks to other people’s reviews That’s why I consider important to write about my own experiences because I rely on them as well

For starters, they offer a variety of discounts (AAA, etc) as well as complementary water and beer when checking in They also have a Bistro restaurant with a bar/lounge area More than enough parking spaces Very clean and nice rooms Breakfast buffet $1 per person (although we didn’t stay for it) The staff was very attentive and polite, especially the front desk guy that checked us in He made us feel welcomed Sorry, I didn’t get his name but this for the hotel management: we stayed in room 610 on the evening of July 31st, 2022 It was a pleasant experience and I hope with the pictures I’m posting, it will let other fellow travelers know this hotel is a great choice

J Mack

Great stay I was in town for a couple days and booked online I’m really picky about cleanliness

I was very happy with what I found The room was spotless Great supply of soap, towels and coffee 2 elevators so I never had to wait for one The pool was clean The staff were very friendly My only concern was locating it It sits behind a couple less than desirable hotels Don’t pass it up It’s worth seeking out

Bubble Tea

I had a pleasant stay here The hotel was fully renovated and clean They provided free water, laundry powder, and beer

Yes, free beer as of Mar 3, 2022 And the lady at the front desk was very friendly The only thing I don’t like is that they charged $1 for breakfast excluding drinks Compared to other free breakfast this one isn’t that special The hotel should just have shared the cost with the restaurant and make breakfast included in the rent

Great service! Friendly & helpful staff Clean & comfortable accommodations Room was a good size & beds were very comfy

I liked the big window Convenient location regarding travel, as well as local attractions & destinations Good buffet breakfast that costs $10 per person Had some plumbing issues with the toilet, but the matter was resolved quickly & easily

Jesse Frye

No microwave No mini fridge No hair dryer

Bath sink didn’t drain Hot tub was closed and roped off for the whole stay Had a room right next to a whole baseball team so nights were long and loud with slamming doors Had a 2 night stay as a gift from family members as a getaway, but would have rather stayed home You’re paying for location and downtown status The room was clean and the bed was comfortable Also charged $420 for the room on my card because of confusion at check in with the free certificate, and have still to be refunded I’ve stayed in MANY other hotels with more accommodations for way cheaper

Melody Spence

Disclaimer that it seemed to be bad week for them, but…We only stayed one night When we arrived we were told the online system had crashed and to check in an hour later Upon checking in, they couldn’t find our reservation even though we were able to show our email confirmation and ended up having to pay extra

The door to our room was stuck so hard you had to throw your shoulder against it to open it, and when closed would leave a one inch crack open at the top letting in sound, even though it was securely closed Our bed was comfy but had stains on our sheets and pillows In the morning we learned the shower had no hot water The coffee was lukewarmWe visited the bar on site and the male bartender was super friendly and gave us drinks even when he was in the middle of closing up The grilled cheese and fries were good as well as the drinks and the price point was spot on The AC was broken though so everyone was sweatingAfter going out for dinner we came back to no available parking spaces due to there being a wedding at the hotelOverall, it was a decent enough place to lay our heads for one night but we will not return

Booked hotel last min, got in pretty late Check in was a breeze Lobby was clean

Room was very nice Clean, comfortable and pretty spacious Bathroom was updated, the barn door with glass was cute but you could still the silhouette of person and the light at night could bother a light sleeper Did not participate in breakfast but check out easy and employees were very friendly

Katelyn Seaba (DCFM)

By far the best breakfast out of any spring hill suites we have been to Also the workout area had cardio equipment AND weights with benches The pool area was well maintained and a good size

This is one of the best Spring Hill suites we have stayed at!! The front desk even have some dog treats for our pup! So many shopping and eating options within walking distance as well (You can see most of them from the parking lot) If we are ever back in the area, we will be staying here!

Roger Register

We started staying here right after it opened on our trips to visit family and friends due to its central location on the north side of Tallahassee However, the quality of the rooms and overall hotel continues to decrease The carpet in the hallways is stained and dirty, tile in the bathroom needed a good scrubbing, the reading light by the bed didn’t work, the phone didn’t work and we lost internet streaming capability

Staff was informed of the non working items Their response: 1 reading light requires complete new part as the light is a single unit – no bulb or spare unit available; 2 phones were out in half of the hotel and phone company notified (3 days with no room phone); and streaming service typically goes out during rain storms and staff has no idea cause or how to fix issue Well folks, this is Florida and it rains most ever afternoon during the summer One would think management would have found a solution to the intermittent outage but no!This will be our last stay at this hotel A shame as its location was excellent but at today’s prices one expects a functioning hotel of this quality to provide all advertised amenities and services

I made a reservation for my daughters graduation from 4-28 to 4-30 and my reservations states that I had until 4-26-22 to cancel but, the hotel decided to charge my for the whole hotel stay because they said it graduation weekend and they want the money before you even arrive to the hotel Rachel the hotel manager was very rude, and said if she gave me a refund she will have to cancel the reservation Wait, my reservation said I will not be charged until I check in!

Hotels want to take advantage of people because of graduation, if it wasn’t for these events they will not survive in this little town

Nikki

Cleanliness is definitely lacking here From dog hair on the sheets and the floor, human hair on the towels and bathtub, walls and mirrors not wiped down, stains on sheets

There was also a spider on my bed There was no availability elsewhere and after working and travelling all day, I didn’t request a different room (which I doubt would be better or available anyways as they were booked online) The carpets need cleaned and this bed needed replaced as you can see it has sunken in on the left side (viewing) The rooms and ceilings are not sound proofed at all, you can hear everything The front desk staff were great at check-in though Edit, I didn’t stay here more than a few hours, I tried But the dog hair caused an allergic reaction for me, so I left and ended up sleeping in my car at a rest area The front desk (different than check-in) stated, “well we are pet friendly” Pet friendly does not mean, we have an excuse not to clean the rooms, to include the sheets that had dog hair too In fact, not only does this tell me you hardly vacuum your floors, but you don’t shampoo the carpets which should be done after every pet stay The fact that I didn’t get refunded, is infuriating and I am going to contact IHG about it

Linda Hostetter

Convenient location, good staff Sheets and towels clean BUT, if you charge a $50 pet fee you should clean the floors thoroughly

Our room looked spotless at first glance but the minute I had opened the door the smell almost knocked me over! Pretty certain it was because the carpet had not been cleaned after the last pet had peed all over it I realize stains can be left behind but the smell shouldn’t be The people cleaning have continuously pushed the dirt from the bathroom floor into the corners Piled about 1/2 inch thick in the corner So disappointed this trip in the IHG hotels we have stayed in That is why we usually search for a major competitor thst charges less for dogs and for the most part does a better job of cleaning

I stayed at this Holiday Inn for 3 nights The staff was very kind and helpful when necessary The room I stayed in was fairly clean

Bathroom felt sanitized, but I think the carpet in the room could have been cleaner The beds were comfortable and I had no complaints with my quality of sleep The water pressure in the shower was pretty poor, so that was a bit upsetting Also, I requested a late checkout and the latest they could do was 12:00 pm (only 1 hour after normal checkout time) Keep that in mind when planning your travels Other than the shower pressure and (lack of a) late checkout, I have no other serious complaints I wouldn’t mind staying here again if I was in the area

Room 419 room smelled really bad Hair in the refrigerator and juice spills on the racks Room shade pull mounts were off the walls

Gray paint in room was sloppily done Poor workmanship Furniture was scratched and pieces missing Chairs in dining area were dirty and floors look like they haven’t been swept in days Gave 1 star because they offered free breakfast when changing rooms and front desk staff was friendly 2nd room was better but would not stay here again due to lack of cleanliness This hotel is not up to IHG standards

No clean towels during stay, trash was not emptied at all over 3 day stay, pool towels were always empty even after asking about them Hard to find worker at front desk to ask about anything Hotel is nice, pool is wonderful, restaurant is overpriced food is ok

Just need better service and room cleaning Used damp towel to wipe water off bathroom floor in room, towel was pure black from floor grime Obviously has not seen a mop in a while, one lamp had short and flashed off n on and the USB charger ports did not work Co workers room had peanuts under table, again not cleaned during stay nor was trash emptied

Normally we love Home2suites, but this one of the worst home2suites we have stayed at The room was so worn out Mold all over the bathtub, it had two shower heads, but one didn’t work and was completely calcified and not cleaned

There were two handles to turn the shower on and one of them was so poorly installed it felt like it was gonna fall out of the wall Wallpaper was bubbling, peeling, and stained The AC didn’t work properly and was very humid in the room Everything felt damp, the sheets, the blankets and the carpet Stuff was just broken, the TV stand was cracked with the metal base exposed in several spots, the toilet paper roll holder was so loose and separating from the wall There was missing tile base boards in the bathroom A lot of little things It was difficult to sleep well

The hotel lobby is lovely but it ends when you go to your room Our shower was not clean – my husband found globs of hair not just one strand The furniture was dirty and the bed was not comfortable

Walls were thin like others mentioned On the positive side, the staff was very accommodating and friendly The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast nothing special

Ugh! I wish I had read these reviews before I booked We were staying in Tallahassee and needed a hotel that accepted pets As an Honors member, I just booked it

My experience was as other reviewers had mentioned The room didn’t feel clean The shower had muck in it, the front of the dishwasher was dirty, the room had a funky smell Items in the room were damaged, the carpet was coming up, the window treatment was tornBased upon my experience and other reviews – it makes you wonder what the $75 “pet cleaning fee” goes towardI agree with others the walls are so thin you can hear everything in your roomOn the positive, the staff was friendly, the room was large, and the hotel is in a good location
