We stayed here for one night for a trip to Kings Island and found it to be well worth the price All parts of the hotel we saw seemed to be very clean (but we didn’t check out the pool or fitness area so can’t vouch for those) Breakfast was one of the better hotel breakfasts we’ve had, my kids will always love a pancake machine

The lobby felt inviting and there were lots of seating options for when breakfast got full I really appreciated the blackout (or nearly) curtains in the room and having hooks for sweatshirts and such No need for a closet! Bathroom had enough counter space and liked the wall mounted soaps and lotion, no need to take the little ones when leaving Definitely felt like we got our money worth and we’d definitely stay again next time we go to Kings Island

Heather I

Would definitely stay here again Megan was wonderful and super helpful with any questions we had and with local food recommendations (even a handy menu at the desk)! The room was clean, love the smell of the soaps, coffee was good all day Air conditioner not too loud

The ice machine is located near the elevators where you can grab a bucket and get your ice, plus fill up any water bottles with the machine next to it And 10 PM every night we were able to watch the fireworks at Kings Island from outside! Great location close to attractions, food, and the interstate

Sadie S

+ I watched them take the reception area/food service area completely apart to clean and disinfect+ Clean room looks just like the pictures+ Woman working in the mornings was great

Super friendly and helpful+ Pool was nice+ We were allowed a slightly later check out, which really helped us out+ Nice breakfast spread with the ability to socially distance- Slight smell to room when we got there but it was probably from the cleaning supplies because it definitely went away- Laminate/hardwood floors My child was walking (not running or anything like that)across the room, and the people downstairs complained

Nice, newer hotel with lovely amenities like the gym and hotel bar/restaurant area Stayed here twice and had a great experience The room layout is unique, featuring a large bad, sofa and massive TV

Bathroom has bright lighting and huge shower with a glass wall so no curtains to mess with which is great Location is close to major roads and food Will be staying here again in the future

No issues The kids across the hall kept coming and going in and out from room to room for a couple hours and that was a tad annoying because the doors are loud IF you let them slam Do better parents

I have four babies and they KNOW better It is disruptive It eventually stopped around 930pm Other than that, it was excellent Amazing mini market selection I ordered dinner because I didn’t want to bother the Cafe staff Delivery from Chili’s was fast Will be back because Hilton chains are cutting services now and Marriott isn’t

We live close— over the river in fort thomas- about 20 miles Our daughter was invited to a sleepover in the area and I drive for Amazon flex- the warehouse is close to this hotel so I thought we’d make a night of it and I could work a shift or twoJust WOW! First off, we are Marriott members and when we requested an upgrade it was given

Very friendly, helpful and professional staff And for me, I always struggle to use those mobile keys but it worked right awayThe room- this is the king suite but it’s huge and it’s so clean My husband cleans the bathroom anywhere we go I love that he does it but the things we have seen Anyway, he is walking around talking about how much he loves this clean room and that after cleaning the bathroom he was shocked not to have found any hair Great job housekeeping!!This room has USB ports all over, and two large TVs and a lot of space I love the view as I have been watching the birds playing My kiddo loves the sofa area and has deemed it as “hers” until she goes to the partyEverything is just easy thus far and I am sure it will continue to go as smoothly…It’s a block from Walgreens – not sure if you could walk it as I forgot to see if there was a sidewalkHeaded to the gym to check it out and we will update with more pics after our stay I was so pleased with how our stay began that I didn’t want to forget to write a review :)Opened in 2019 and it looks even newer and so far everything is clean/pristineThe rest of our stay was amazing! That gym— wow! Upscale cardio and weightlifting machines— leg press, chest press, bicep and tricep machines on the cardio you could use their machines for Facebook, Twitter , YouTube and netflix Our kiddo was able to sit on a bench and watch tv and use the bike while we used the equipment Also water machine and cups Free ear buds alsoThey food and drinks and coffee- Starbucks type I didn’t personally use but I did enjoy a Klondike bar from the the front desk storeThe bathroom is just smart and easy as everything was here Check the picsAnd again- USBs everywhere… So convenient! We saw some slivers of the sun setting

We ended up staying three nights while our power was out at home The hotel was clean and comfortable Everyone we interacted with was super friendly even when busy

They have an indoor and an outdoor pool which was great It was also quieter than other hotels I’ve stayed at, I couldn’t hear TVs and people talking when in the halls or in our room Really impressed!

I had an unexpected business trip to the Northern Cincinnati Area My first pleasant hotel experience since Covid-19 emerged It was pleasurable to be in the company of people who seemed to thoroughly enjoy their job

I had several questions about the area and hotel, every individual I spoke with was kind and genuinely wanted to help The breakfast buffet was clean , accommodating and tasty, buffet experience led me to try their breakfast menu within the Tavern Although expensive I without a doubt had the best breakfast meal in over two years, I ordered the western omelet which was cooked perfectly (not to dry/ not to runny) If staying I highly recommend you spring the extra cash for a plate, you wont be disappointedI recommend Cincinnati Marriott Northeast for any business or family travel , in our current world of chaos and struggling hotel operations this crew hit the nail on the head! Big thumbs up to the breakfast cook a good meal goes miles in my world and my breakfast set the tone for my entire day

Adam Clark

I have stayed at countless Marriott properties around the country and around the world and this is the only one that did not have a free coffee stand in the lobby Don’t worry though, they would be happy to charge you $7 for a small cup from the restaurant How anyone in management thinks this is acceptable is beyond me

I will never consider staying at this hotel again and will make sure all my Friends and Family in the area do the same I hope saving the few cents on that cup of coffee is worth losing out on my $150 / night visit

On June 11, 2022, myself and my family was in Cincinnati, Ohio for a women’s retreat We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott hotel for one night Before I settle into any hotel room, I check out the rooms with a black light, which shows bodily fluids or evidence of bed bugs

I examined the bathroom which showed very little residue except some hair in tub, not mine As I continue with the room, what caught my attention was the bed shirt What I discovered was a bed bug upper right corner of the bed shirt I believe if one appears and I kept looking it could have been more I stopped looking and called the front desk Minutes later the manager and someone from housekeeping came to the room At first the management said she didn’t see it, so I put the light where the black spot was and it begin moving Both ladies help myself and part of my family move to another room Upon my sisters return I mentioned to her the events of what took place and she went to the front desk to speak to someone in charge but was told that person wasn’t there and we’ll get in touch with her at a later time, and that hasn’t happened yet Just in case you say no one has mentioned this before about Marriott, maybe if people purchase these black lights on Amazon you never know what they may see

Not bad, but I chose this place because a hot tub really helps with my chronic pain while travelling But the “hot tub” here is more of a warm tub I actually got cold in it

Do better, Marriott

A great place to stay We didn’t want to stop in Dayton or Cincinnati so we split it and stopped here Beds were comfortable, but pillow started off comfortable then turned uncomfortable

Hard to explain but affected both of usRoom was nice, clean and roomy Having a gym/workout room was a welcome site as we needed to get a little stuffed in the car energy out Breakfast was good but could be a little better Wasn’t anything we would turn away though When passing through here in the future we will be staying again

Rachelle Craig

We love staying at Hampton Inn in Middletown when we are going the the Reds games It’s still close without having to stay in Cincinnati We have stayed several times and it’s always clean

The only thing I think could be better is the pillows are too soft and there should be a variety of coffee creamers for coffee in the morning The staff is always so friendly and courteous It’s close to lots of shopping and nice restaurants We always feel at home here!

Gee Gee Clark

I did a survey sent by themto my email they requested so I had mentioned having 2 in store purchases charged to my card when I only made one in store purchase so I wake up this morning to an email from a lady named Nicole the Manager so called being nice but then she says, “I don’t know where you are getting your numbers from just any old numbers” So I told her from my bank account transactions the same way I could clearly see she had just reversed one of the charged this morning and if she was emailing to be nice and then rude at the same time she didn’t have to email me at all The evening person during check in was so nice but the morning person the following morning not personable at all makes me wonder if it’s the same lady who emailed me this morning The room was okay but it wasn’t the type of room that I reserved or paid for and only thing half way decent for breakfast was the waffles After this Managers attitude this morning I will look else where when I need a Hotel in the area and I am forwarding the email she sent me to the corporate office showing how she talks to her customers

Staff was friendly and hotel was clean The access to shops and restaurants on foot was nice But No security

A very busy area and multi floor access and lobby access that was not limited to hotel guests I actually had a young man in a ski mask (in summer!) follow in directly behind me in the revolving door He plopped down in the lobby and the lone front desk worker said nothing Bar was not open the hours stated on the website Closed by 830 on a Sunday night of a three day weekend…as many guests were requesting drinks The “restaurant” was a hot/cold breakfast spread that would be complimentary at most decent hotels For the price point at least a full service restaurant and maybe room service would be expected We were told by a number of staff that it was a business hotel and not a leisure hotel, which is why staff was minimal Housekeeping came banging on the door like the FBI before 9 on a Sunday morning We wouldn’t stay here again for a weekend trip

Tommie Rowland

At check in no one was at the desk I had to look in the back offices to find someone The first day I was there the room was clean, second day no room service

When I ask the front counter if they provided room service each day they said yes I told them my room was not clean third day room was clean, four day room was not Very limited amenities in the room Very uncomfortable bed

My husband and I are almost platinum level at IHG & also Gold Hilton Honor members I use to work for Marriott & wanted my husband to see that they have great hotels I am very disappointed in the service we received from the hotel customer service

We made a reservation I called immediately to cancel because we have a puppy and obviously we can’t bord her yet bc of lack of shots & not old enough for all of them yet I could have snuck her in the hotel however I choose to follow their policy I was told we could cancel and no charge was applied Turns out we got charged I spoke to multiple guest service representatives and told I’d see a refund We waited over the 2-3 business days for a refund that we were quoted We saw none So went in person to handle since we got no where on the phone The guest service representative at the front desk said we have no manager on duty and we would have to wait until the next business day for 1My husband said this never happened if this were a Hilton or IHG hotel & sadly I have to say he is right Very disappointed in Marriott When I worked at Marriott, after each shift we always made sure to have detailed notes on any guest issue and we took care of each guest issue ourselves if there were any I remember a guest so upset that their gift card had a 0 balance on it and should have had a balance on it to pay for their room I recalled them saying they had a couple gift cards they used at previous hotel So on a whim I asked the hotel info After speaking with that hotel they previously stayed at found out they had grabbed wrong gift card I was able to take care of their room charge Turns out this stay was a test on us Thanks to me handling everything for them and it being through only 1 guest service representative we got repeat business from them and other guests they sent to usYou never know who will walk through the door of your hotel & the service you provide speaks volumes on how you are as a hotel After going to a business dinner for my husband and bosses and discussing this hotel with friend of the family about where to stay for them and other family members who visit I told them I do not recommend this hotel & explained our situation The company needs hotels quite frequently and the friends of the family and their family members will now be using a different hotel nearby that we stayed at and highly recommend that had amazing customer service Sad to say that this could have completely been a different experience & they could have had more repeat business

My 2 & 3 yo had an amazing time They loved the water park, bunk beds, arcade, bowling, storytime, dance party, their birthday cake and decorations on the door, seeing the characters, craft time, put putt, everythingFrom the adult perspective

Lines and crowding were excessive and there was no enforcement of masks or social distancing with patrons Considering there are so many children there unable to be vaccinated, this was concerning Lodge feels very outdated but rooms were very clean and staff was very friendly!I was impressed with the buffet, lots of variety Parking was good Snacks/food prices were excessive but your paying for convenience since there are plenty of food options around the cityI did have some difficulty with the 4 smaller water slides for the newly 2 year old Adults were not allowed to go down these slides which meant she would have to go to the top of the slides on her own or be on her own at the bottom of the slide It was a bit tricky to manage The 3 year old loved every single slide they let her go on ( 2 she didn’t meet height requirement) all smiles for hours

David Olson

Everything was awesome! We saved 3 hundred dollars off our stay because of the 30 percent off deal going on right now We were able to check into our room 3 hours early for free because our room was ready when we got there Our room was right by our car which was convenient

The staff was super friendly and helpful We were able to do everything we wanted within the two nights we stayed Being able to pay for everything with the wrist bands was super helpful Definitely a great family hotel! Everyone had a great weekend there and would definitely recommend!

Capt. Andrew Cederholm

Awesome water park and staff in the water park Pizza parlor hit or miss Arcade and ice cream shop same! Was greeted with a smile and after the check in was completed and our room things started to go down hill! Again the water park and it’s staff awesome but the rest really have no concerns for your comfort

The queen beds are like laying on a pillow with no fluff left you sink in a pit of body aches Our pull out couch was even worse when we removed the sofa cushions it revealed cookie and chips We cleaned that up and opened the sleeper mattress was terrible as well! For the price of the room this is not acceptable Bugs/spiders found everyday The work being preformed on the exterior starts around 9am and if you have a small child that needs a nap during the day good luck with that idea All these complaints we brought to the front desk and not one person seemed to care not even the manager Sad that such a great place has such disregard for its patrons

Attention, Attention !!Anyone or Any Family looking to stay at a hotel that is absolutely the best!! This review is long overdue! I have been a loyal Marriott customer, specifically at this location, where I do my Staycations with my children, family , staff and friends, for well over 5 years! I’ve seen staff come and go and even felt like I was a part of the team , helping to welcome the newbies on board! I say that to say, the Cincinnati Marriott North has been nothing short of amazing , accommodating, and just flat out good to me and my children! From the wonderful people that attend to the rooms , the to waitresses in the restaurant, to the Management! As a single mom, who’s schedule is so busy, the Marriott has made it easy for me to have a home away from home in a safe, beautiful facility, where the staff know me and my children Their food is great, the service is great and I would literally live there if I had no place to go Out of all the years that I’ve stayed there, even through the change of staff, I have Never had a bad experience! It was a little bumpy initially having to get used to new staff at times, but only because I had gotten so attached to the others! But once I seen that new or old, the level of care and service that all the team members provide was consistent and has been top notch, it’s much easier to welcome in new team members! I can’t say enough about this particular Marriott

They have been part of the village that helped to feed/ shelter and accommodate my family, while allowing me a chance to feel like I was having a relaxing getaway anytime I needed one and can’t leave the city! Bottom line, this is the best hotel , at a reasonable cost for any family, business, or team to stay at, if they want a safe & well kept environment, nice pool and Clean Rooms, Great customer care team and all around nice facility to have a great time or just relax!Thank you Cincinnati Marriott North for the Awesome & Consistent service that you have provided over the years! I promise, anytime that I’m staying there, I would fill in at the front desk and help anytime, if you guys ever need me! That’s how much I appreciate you all! 😃🥰

Pretty much like every other Marriot property since the pandemic, under-staffed, poorly maintained and not very clean Man at front desk was rude at check in I am a Titanium Elite member and Marriott just isn’t what they used to be

Sad thing is they are much better in other countries, at least there, the employees seem to care and take a little pride in their work

Julie Vandelay

Marriott has gone way downhill since the pandemic This hotel demonstrates why Rooms are OLD and loud and generally something stuck in the 1960s

As a top tier member, I am not used to being told there are no upgrades But when I am, I usually am OK However when I am clearly lied to then I am not Public availability showed suites available but I was not upgraded That’s in violation of Marriott terms but then Marriott corporate doesn’t care so I won’t bother saying anything to themAmenities? Sorry due to pandemic we no longer have: housekeeping, coffee service, bar service, or a generally positive attitudePricing? Well we’ve cut back everything but we’ve increased prices Inflation you knowI am so sick of Marriotts poor treatment of their loyal members and awful hotels like this who hide poor quality and service behind excuses Wait for the canned reply to this review as a great example of how management could care less!

Just stayed this past weekend for a family reunion 7/23 The hotel was very nice

The only complaint was the rooms smelled a bit musty, but it didn’t bother me The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had, it was kept well stocked and there were plenty of options I would definitely stay here again I loved the soft pillows, can someone please tell me what brand of pillow it is because I would love to go buy one!

Jesse Baird

I have a hard time giving this hotel 3 stars On one hand it does great on all the things you’d expect from a Holiday Inn Express (decent rooms, pool, breakfast, etc), plus it actually has all the little things that are sometimes missing, like a working fan in the bathroom, doors that don’t slam, an A/C fan you can leave on all night for white noise, updated furniture, etcHowever, the one unexcusable issue that knocked it down two stars is the unmistakable and ever present smell of cigarette smoke

It is clear someone attempted to clean (or cover) it up, but it didn’t work The smell was pretty terrible in the hall and better, but still not great, in the room I rolled over in the bed, which probably puffed some air from a corner somewhere and I got a huge lung full Maybe I’m being too critical, but I just can’t accept this issue despite all the other things this hotel did well The good news is this is probably fixable with a good thorough cleaningThanks for the good stay!!Update – upon further reflection, 3 stars was too harsh, so bumping to 4 Would have been 5 without the smoke smell

Matt Sfura

Booked 3 nights, through Hotelscom, for 2 Queen Beds for 4 people, with credit card to guarantee booking Upon arrival, they had changed my reservation to King Bed w/ pullout, calling it an “upgrade”

2 of us had to share the pullout VERY disappointed Talked to front desk, who said, “this happens all the time, you’re not the first”, as if that made it more acceptable They changed to two Queens the following night, and gave us Holiday Inn “points” but refused to refund the cost of the first night where we received not what we booked (both local hotel and greater Holiday Inn refused a refund) This is terrible service, when we book a certain kind of room, and show up at night, we expect to have what we booked, you can’t just change our booking without notifying us and call it “CUSTOMER service” Would never stay here again, nor honestly at any Holiday Inn

Great experience We stay at double tree hotels fairly often with typically great results, this was was no exception Called to see if they had a room last minute after being turned away at the original hotel we had booked due to them not having any rooms available (3rd party websites overbooked them)

The staff and manager accommodated us extremely well for such a late check in Room was clean and nice Friendly staff, great stay overall Will skip the other places and just book here if we need to stay in the area again anytime soon

Matt Hotel

Came here for a baseball tournament Stayed 5 nights Rooms need renovations

Staff there are super great (Matthew, Will, Security guards, Bartender and breakfast waitress were exceptionally awesome)Pool is great Hot tub is downWe had a great time, I like the rooms set up, but it needs a Reno

Tina Boggs

We had a great experience with comfy bed, great staff, and excellent access The hotel is dated some BUT we had EVERYTHING we needed and hot water Rooms are spacious and loved having fridge and microwave in room

The cookies are always a treat! The only thing that iritated me was the baseball teams that stayed here as well The hotel can’t control them or their actions, but their coaches and parents SHOULD and didn’t Teens dropping the f bomb loudly multiple times in the lobby while talking to the parrot Mom’syelling at kids down the hall at 10 at nightcome on people!!! Ate dinner on the patio at the Black Horse Tavern, which is in the same building as The Golden Lamb Great service, food was delicious, and you should try the Bee’s Knee’s for your cocktail drinkI ordered the chicken salad sliders with chips

This was delicious Our table ordered an appetizer plate that had egg salad, pickles, olives, hot peppers, green beans, and thin crisps This was very good! Nice sharing plate to get your dinner started We did not order dessert, but they looked to have a nice selectionPlanning a return visit

My brother and I are from Lebanon so I thought that it would be nice to celebrate his birthday at The Golden Lamb I had requested a table for 8 away from any crowd and we were given the perfect oval table in the back so we all could talk and see one another! As usual, the food was superb I could write a lengthy description of each order, but you need to experience the food for yourself

Austin was our server I cannot say enough about this young man Outstanding comes to mind He was very attentive, personable and knew some history about the Inn! He definitely needs a pat on the back!Overall, we all thoroughly enjoyed our evening and thank you all for making it even more so

Our total dining experience was great! Our server, Holly was great! She made recommendations from the menu that were amazing Our appetizers were really good, our dinners were really outstanding and our desserts were awesome We had prime rib that cut like a steak, but was so tender to chew

Others had fried chicken and the salmon, as suggested by Holly Our guests loved it! We also got to sit right next to the fireplace which was awesome! We’ll be back again someday

We are a bit disappointed in this hotel Check in was easy and front desk staff was very nice and helpful Although we weren’t going to use it, the bar, restaurant and room service was closed

The chef called in sick I’d rather they stay homeWe went walked into the room, it was very hot and stuffy The air was set on 76 but thermostat read 80 It took hours to cool down We went to Kings Island and it was fine when we returned There was an odd smell Not horrible, just odd Again, not that it matters much, but the alarm clock was broken and unable to be used The stopper in the tub was broken and laying in the tub Even with it out, water stood in the showerThe bed was comfortable and great pillowsThe hotel was clean We didn’t have a chance to use the pool but when we checked it out, it was clean and at good temperatureOverall it was a decent stay The things that were wrong were an inconvenience, not a deal breakerWe would stay again but are going to look for different options in the area

I was lucky to have got let down by another brand for being over booked and I found this wonderful small hotel which gave me a 5 star treatment Marie, upon checking in she did a wonderful job with a smile and great positive attitude The rooms are clean, the hotel is family friendly and I decided to joint Hilton Honors because of their cozy and welcoming service

Services available are very adequate when visiting this calm and wonderful town

My husband & I came to enjoy a day here & we purchased our room with breakfast tickets which cost extra This morning we went down for breakfast & were given a Menu & we were ready to order when the lady told us everything on the menu is not included in the breakfast ticket! The only thing included is pastries & cereal & oatmeal! NO EGGs, No Sausage, No Bacon, No Waffles! I ask if we could be refunded for the breakfast tickets & the answer was NO! We travel a lot & never seen a breakfast like this😔 So if you are looking for a nice breakfast with your stay that you have to pay for to even have it this is not the place sorry! But the rooms were nice & clean I had to give it 3 stars for this reason

It was referred to me by a friend I didn’t know I had to request for room service I normally hang a tag on the door to have my room cleaned and have fresh linen and towels

I payed a hefty price for three nights I was told they were short staff that was not my problem neverthess damage is done That was my first and my last time

Matt Robinson

I was a Marriott Employee traveling on a employee rate, I arrived and was told I couldn’t check in due to not being 21 and that it was an Ohio law, which it is not I was directly lied to by both a manager and a front desk associate How can I be able to work at a Marriott and not be eligible to stay in one? We let 18 year olds stay the courtyard I work at, also in Ohio

I was told that as long as someone checked in that was 21 I could stay in and pay for the hotel, I just couldn’t check inWhat a joke

We have stayed there multiple times and always chose this hotel! Pool and hot tub is great and always clean when we come The rooms are spacious along with the bathroom being big as well! Showers always have liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner Great hotel all around! Super close to Bob Evans even though the hotel serves good breakfast, I love waking up and getting Bob Evans

Laken Bowens

Way over crowded The pool area compared to a lot of other Drury hotels is tiny! The hot tub was disgusting! Tons of dirt and grime floating in it Hardly could enjoy the area

One elevator for the entire hotel was madness! Walked ages around 2 halls to get to room Wait time for the elevator was ridiculous It was so slow The eating times had 0 seating left every night Every amenity was too small for how many rooms they had fully booked

Architectural style is modern, European, colorful and inviting Rooms are spacious and clean Area around the hotel is green, walkable and safe, with restaurants and live music in close proximity

The reason for the poor rating is the service With one notable exception, the staff was unfriendly, short, disinterested and, often, downright rude No matter what the issue was (housekeeping forgot to clean the room, the paid breakfast was not delivered, or an extra item charged by the front desk to our room by mistake was not removed), every interaction with the front desk was unpleasant and painful Improve the front desk customer service quality and this hotel will be a 5/5 Until then, we will not return Thank you

Very nice hotel, convenient to a lot of restaurants and bars nearby The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable Shower was huge!My husband and I especially enjoyed having the XYZ Lounge downstairs in the lobby for a quick and convenient drink

The bartender was very friendly and kept us hanging out with some great conversationIt has its own parking lot so parking is not an issue

Kelly Bollinger

I always stay here when traveling for work It is a convenient location, I like the bar and the bartender, Nick, is greatThe rooms are always spotless and the staff is very nice

I wish the coffee was available all day and there was something to grab and go as a breakfast option I started bringing my own, but would rather just get something from the little store
