Hotel seemed clean and nice, but when it says there is a gym, and you even ask before confirming stay You should tell someone the treadmill isn’t working The manager knew and didn’t inform the front people

The gentleman working up front was super friendly, I feel horrible that he is going to have to deal with people being upset about it When you run everyday and choose a place for a gym, it should be in working order That is unacceptable to me That is unacceptable for the upfront people to not know I have stayed at a lot of comfort inn and suites and I have never dealt with this That is unacceptable! The breakfast was good, the lady doing that was very nice! The juice was not orange juice it was brown…but other than that it was a great breakfast!

K C

The 2 rooms I got were spotlessly clean But skip the breakfast – they don’t have eggs (they claim their supplier “ran out of eggs”

lol) So I got some frosted flakes, they were stale The orange juice was brown, that happens when the frozen concentrate has gone way past its expiration date The link sausages were the spicy variety for some reason, and the coffee was so weak it tasted like water They also don’t cool that area so it’s muggy

Brittany Lee

PLEASE be cautious of this place There are other reviews where costumers are being overcharged & never receiving refunds! We was overcharged & have been expecting a refund for over a month now, but since talking to the General Manager of this place as of yesterday, now he’s justifying the charge & refusing Aside from being scammed, our first room was disgusting

It contained food/vomit on the pullout mattress/cushions as well as on the side of the bed onto the floor The room we got moved to had a shower that hardly had any water pressure, so as a women, my daughter’s and I couldn’t even wash our hair This was supposed to be a quick rest to finish our drive to FL It was far from restful

The friendliness and and helpful attitude of the desk ladies and the breakfast lady was so welcome My room was clean and comfortable Bathroom was spotless

The only lack was a charging port for my devices I had gotten used to that in other places so I left mine at home Not a big deal–I should have checked The breakfast was terrific You had many options for your breakfast plate– choosing from a buffet with sausages, eggs, pancakes, dry cereal, instant cereal to heat up, and scrumptious cinnamon rolls and more And the breakfast area was so pretty Beautiful color scheme and the high table with the padded chairs was a comfortable and delighttful place to linger over coffee which my colleagues and I did I have been in a lot of hotels in my years, usually modest chain establishments This one was a real winner

Celia rodriguez

I can honestly say that the experience here is pretty good the room was clean and the breakfast was good I really enjoyed the gravy and biscuit with the scrambled eggs and the fresh fruit I like that they had an option to buy some snacks and some drinks the only thing that it was really unsettling is that I booked a king room and it showed it was available but when I got to the hotel unfortunately I didn’t have the king room as I needed or requested or bookedI had to get a double queen room which wasn’t bad but not what I wanted but it was still clean and comfortable everything I needed and overall a decent experience I would recommend going to this location

kwashere

Not the greatest area or rooms, but sufficient for a girl passing through Could use some upgrades Lots of weed smoking in the hotel so I was probably high and didn’t know it

Lol!My room was a decent size and the hotel was quiet The staff was exceptionally nice and hella professionalThe hotel is near some gas stations and fast food joints as well Overall, I could stay again for accessibility to the basics

Stayed 11 nights on a work trip I would like to compliment the staff and management for all the sanitizing and cleaning Thank you

I really enjoyed coming back each night and walking into the lobby to a welcoming environmentIt’s a very nice property with a modern decor The lobby is beautiful The room was fine I like the air freshener they use Housekeeping and front desk were friendly and accommodatingThe free breakfast was a bit disappointing Also, taking it down before 9:00 am in an aggressive manner was off putting The breakfast attendant was the only staff member I came across that could use more customer service training Overall I was very satisfiedNote for management – I would like to return in two weeks but the rate went up an additional $40 nightly and is significantly more than other hotels in the area for the dates I’ll be in town I can’t justify the extra expense

Erricka Smith

We stayed here on 2 different weekends and it was amazing The staff was extremely accommodating with my friend and I along with our 3 kids, 6 and below I wish I would have gotten their names, but any of the staff members working 26-27 February and 8-11 March were great

The price and location were on point We may not have a reason to come back to Montgomery, but if we do I would book here over and over again Thanks so much for such a great stay

T Thomas

This is a nice hotel for the price you pay per night It’s really a steal The suites are modern, very well-designed, and classy

The reception was accommodating, even at 2:30am when I wanted something from the snack bar Multiple entrances for your convenience and d*mn near on the interstate for even more convenience It is very close to restaurants, shopping, bars, and gas

Marvelous staff, extremely attentive! We fouled up our arrival dates (we were late) and they backed a charge off our card with zero trouble Clean and very pleasant t, only a little dated Every hotel (different brands) we have stayed in the past couple of years are behind a bit in their capital improvements largely, I suspect, due to the financial gut punch of the virus

But again, this location’s professional hospitality is excellent And the friendly cows next dooor are an added bonus!

Patty Paxson

We needed a place to stay while traveling to Florida We enjoy casinos, but the casino there wasn’t pet friendly, and we were traveling with our dog That is why we chose La Quinta

The room was clean and quiet I loved the bathroom I have no complaints The room did smell like cleaning supplies, but these days, that is a good thing!

Paul Carter

They have paper thin walls, you can literally hear conversations from other rooms New location so everything appeared clean and neat I would say it’s an OK hotel and it is worth the price overall

I stayed 4 days and I enjoyed the waffles for breakfast The eggs and meat selection looked like roadkill that was re-heated each morning It looked as if they left the food in there for days at the time and rarely stirred it 🤢

One of the better Hilton properties Great location near all the shopping! I had been staying at the Embassy Suites downtown, but this is so much better – so clean and fresh Housekeeping is great

Plenty of electrical outlets and a fabulous shower that is hot with plenty of water pressure It also has a little kitchenette and a nice size refrigerator/freezer I’ll stay here from now on when I am in Montgomery

William Hauser

Overall a clean and quiet property Only one bad experience during weekly stays over the course of a few months: one room had a broken garbage disposal, with the smell of rotting waste emanating from kitchen sink The whole room stunk of it

I couldn’t get the stench out of my nostrils for days after my departure Breakfast bar is impressive I only wish it opened earlier, as it opens a bit late for many work/business travelers Wednesday evening food & drink gatherings are impressive – much more than the typical finger food Location is great Bed & bedding are comfortable Rooms are mostly modern, clean and quiet The heat & air temp controls don’t work real well

Alexander Githens

Beginning to really like the Homewood Suites Brand from Hilton! This is my second stay with them with the other being in Tuscaloosa and they were both fantastic! This location is in a great area, close proximity to everything and my needed location for work travel! Breakfast was filling and had a mix of hot and cold options The amenities include many different seating areas indoors and out, basketball court, grilling stations, as well as other traditional means I plan to stay at this location anytime I am in the East Chase Area!

Everyone was so hospitable and nice accommodations including business hour and made to order breakfast Even got texts from Dani prior to check in to see if we needed anything I want to thank Janelle, our housekeeper, that was very kind and helpful to my family as well

Kudos to Hilton for having her!! Asset to your business! Thank you all for a pleasant stay We were here last year and I’m sure will make this our go-to hotel

Thomas Renshaw

My wife and I, with two other couples, stayed overnight at this location to attend a concert and we were amazed at how close it was to the theater; literally right across the street Several places to eat and drink within a few minutes walking We parked the car at the hotel and walked everywhere we went

We will be coming to events at this theater more often since this hotel is so convenient The hotel itself was clean and looked brand new, the staff was helpful and the breakfast buffet had a very good selection The six people in our party all had something different and everyone enjoyed their breakfast We had a suite, thanks to our friend who got us an upgrade with her points as a frequent traveler, so I can not speak of the cheaper priced rooms but ours was great and on the level of several 4 star hotels we stayed at in the past I can not think of a single negative comment for this hotel and strongly recommend that you give it a try

Jonus G

Amazing hotel, we got it last minute and they were still at Hilton quality the entire time The overall experience was quite cool being in a hotel in the middle of the capital of Alabama, they have paintings all around the hotel for all of the historical events and current buildings of the State capitalThe coolest part is that there is a historical train station nearby that is pretty much a historical monument in itself

The location of this area is unparalleled and filled with so much history! Thank you Hilton for the great experience

I wish there is an option for 6 or even 7 stars for the courtenousness and warm welcome feeling from all the staff, regardless if that is the front desk staff, cleaning crew, or the breakfast staff Hotel and our studio room are both clean and neat Breakfast is pretty good in all US hotels that we have visited

The breakfast staff is super friendly, and would talk to everyone (regardless of color and nationality) like talking to her own family Super warm We feel very welcomed and appreciated Highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel looks attractive from the outside, the lobby, and the kitchen area, but that is where it stops I had a room on the 3rd floor As soon as I stepped off the elevator, the smell from cigarette smoke was extremely intense and it was the same in my room

The hotel needs a deep cleaning, and it needs to air out There were stains on the hallway carpet and on my room carpet The pictures in the advertisement are misleading The furniture in my room showed wear marks and the television was relatively small All in all, not a good stay – will definitely avoid this hotel chain in the future And one more thing, they have a sign posted outside, saying that you park at your own risk In other words, if someone breaks into your car, don’t complain to us My question is, where are hotel guests supposed to park? Never again will I stay at a hotel that takes this position

Annie Reeves

If you can avoid this place, do it at all cost! Service was down right awful Last night’s attendant was rude Our room was like a sauna when we walked in and the bathroom was dirty

We were told that we would have to pay another $50 for another room A gentlemen came down behind us looking for sheets and she gave him attitude Luckily Choice Hotels was able to get us another room at another hotel The manager did refund our room but not before disrespecting my husband when he called to make her aware of the situation Do yourself a favor and stay at a different Choice Hotel

Molly Clauss

Booked a stay overnight to break up our 13 hr drive to Florida and needed a dog friendly hotel Originally booked through a 3rd party – Bring Fido but received an email stating the hotel cancelled my reservation, so I booked another reservation through the number listed on the hotel’s websiteWhen we arrived around midnight on 4/30, they informed me that I had 2 reservations, so I let them know that I only needed 1

They said they would refund me for 1 reservation but that refund never came throughAfter that ordeal, we finally get to our room to put our baby girl down to sleep and find that our room (222) only had one working light I went back down to the front desk and notified them that the electricity wasn’t working in our room Instead of immediately offering a new room, they messed with the circuit breaker for over 30 mins By this time it was past 1am and my 17 month old daughter needed to go to sleep, so we just set her up in the dark room and dealt with one working lamp, no bathroom light and no working outlets to charge our phonesThe next morning, we couldn’t wait to get out of there10 days after our stay, I never saw a refund come through, so I called and spoke to the manager She claimed that she would take care of a refund for 1 of my 2 reservations (we will see if that comes through) When I mentioned our issue with the electricity, she was extremely rude and unapologetic She said “she had no notations that the issue ever happened” Terrible trained staff and a very rude manager Stay away from this dump

I love my Marriotts so I knew exactly where I was going to stay when I came to Montgomery, AL to see my bf The location was great, and the staffs were beyond awesome They made me feel like I was home away from home as well as they were very professional

Prior week I had to make a quick reservation at a different hotel and let’s just say I’m so glad I found TownPlace Suites this time The room we stayed in was very homey, spacious, and clean I highly recommend this hotel and will be back again soon

Amee thomas

At first glance, the hotel appeared nice; however, the expectation soon went downhillWe had 4 guests in the room with 3 sets of towels When we requested an additional set, we were told we had to exchange soiled towels for a new set

The bathroom in itself was less than desirable When you step into the tub to shower, the tub felt as though it would fall through the floor and the shower handle was broken The hot water was in the direction of the cold water, upside down The toilet paper holder was brokenOne bed was creaky and pillows were really old with no sort of support, and the ceiling was peeling above the dining table from what appeared to be water damageI’m a member of the Marriott Bonvoy club and can say that the Montgomery stay was less than subpar in comparison to Atlanta and Baton Rouge visits

Sharon C

This was our first stay at Town Place Suites, I was impressed from the moment we pulled up When we walked in @ 5:40pm, I could smell the cleanliness and I said I like this place It was clean and the decor was nice

The front desk staff were all very pleasant, professional & welcomingI was impressed again when we got to our room The kitchenette was modern, stainless steel fridge & microwave with a two burner black stovetop, deep sink and lots of cabinets The room was nicely decorated with double beds! I ALWAYS bring my cleaning supplies lysol spray and wipes After wiping everything down I said wow, this room is pretty cleanThe only reasons I didn’t give it five ⭐️1 When we went to bed the linen had a fishy smell ( yes I did spray it down with lysol earlier) Even after spraying it againThe next day, I requested that all of the linen on that bed be changed and it was with no problem2 The tub/shower didn’t drain properly3 Two of the three light bulbs were out in the bathroom4 It needed a little dusting @ all of the light fixtures5 The (free) breakfast was a little disappointingKudos to the staff, they were exceptional!Thank you TownPlace Suites EastChase, we’ll be back!

We stayed at Fairfield Inn and Suites during a cross country road trip The rooms are clean and modern and the staff was friendly and helpful The desk clerk suggested a nearby Mexican restaurant for dinner, and it was spot on

The meal was quite satisfying Beds were comfortable, water hot, and TV in good working order Plus, it has a pretty good breakfast as well

Not all of them but the main reasons why we will not stay at this location again and will not recommend it to anyone else – the check-in process, lack of attentiveness of employees, and charges to my credit cardI found out that at this location even if you receive both a notification and your digital key in the Hilton Honors app that does not mean your room is ready We got the notification that our room was ready at 12p but actually didn’t get a room until after 3p

(We were not the only ones that day that arrived that had to wait for a room Another guest verbalized her wait time and frustrations to me)We ate breakfast in the lobby in the morning The employee gave us menus and went about helping other people After a while, it seemed as if she forgot about us When she finally made her way back to us, she admitted that she had indeed forgotten about us even though we were sitting in the middle of the room and she had passed us multiple timesLastly, my credit card was charged for breakfast that was comped by the breakfast credit To date, I have contacted this location four times about it Always being given different information The last thing that I was told was that I will have to take it up with my credit card companyI have heard people brag about going to Hilton locations and being a Hilton diamond member That means nothing at this location Some Hilton locations that I’ve been to will offer something for the inconvenience they have caused – whether points or something from their store Not this one

Christopher Weaver

They took my employer’s business card information, including the security codes and expiration dates

everything necessary to use it fraudulently, and said that they applied it to my room, only to find out, upon arrival that no card was on file I had to come out of my own pocket for the whole stay Though my business paid me back, i had a hold on my personal account given the amount I requested, and I couldn’t purchase anything that entire day Additionally, your continental breakfast needs to have a sign on it stating the cost Where there is a menu posted that does not acknowledge a continental breakfast, nor anything on that breakfast bar, and I decided to get some cereal, it was a shock to hear that I had to pay $900 for the little cereal box the same size cereal box my kid gets at daycareThat said, Leon was polite and attempted to help me best he could initially at check in Unfortunately there wasnt much he could do

Kim Brown

There was an issue with my corporate office booking the wrong hotel stay for me this trip I had stayed at this hotel 4 prior times due to business Lynn the general manager took control and made it possible for my company to book a stay at a moments notice

That was for me going above and beyondI will always book my stay at this hotel and have already told my corporate staff about the excellent service I receivedThank you so much Lynn!!!

We were surprised by the parking fee while checking out Otherwise everything including the variety of foods offered for breakfast was great!

I had a great 2 night stay! The location is right where it needs to be Everything is within walking distance Hot breakfast is complimentary and everything was good and well balanced

There is a fee for parking, however, but it isn’t unreasonable I’m thinking about coming back to see the Legacy Museum next year (w family) This is where I intend to stay!

Loved our stay here! We drove through Montgomery to go to the Legacy Museum The rooms were immaculate Beds were so comfortable

And we loved having a full sized refrigerator And the air conditioner worked GREAT! Good since it was in the dead of summerEveryone at the front desk was super helpful Haley checked us out and was great The breakfast was pretty extensive They serve breakfast until 9:30 We got there about 8:30 and the grits were gone And the eggs and French toast sticks were also gone And the coffee was empty We waited about 20 minutes until some more food and coffee came out No more grits though They do have waffles you can make It was clear the crew was doing everything they could They could have had a rush of people or some extenuating circumstances But just a suggestion to get down there early if you are looking for a full meal

The only great thing about this hotel was the staff The room was not clean, dust was caked everywhere The dust was so thick on the light fixture in the bathroom it was hanging down and staying intact

The shower made an awful sound and the sink didn’t drain properly The walls were paper thin Every time a neighbor flushed the toilet, the elevator dinged, someone walked in the hallway, etc I could hear them We did not sleep well The wallpaper is coming off in the bathroom by the toilet The furniture is rough and the mattresses has a yellow tint to them One of my kids has bite marks on his legs from bugs The floor and the CARPET was sticky To top off the entire experience, when my husband and children walked out to load up the car, a man was standing at the door and asked my husband for weed The only great thing about this hotel is the staff They were AMAZING! I just expected more from a hotel that was over $200 for one night If we wanted a room like that, we would have stayed in a $60 a night motel

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL UNTIL THEY’RE FULLY STAFFED!!! Arrived at the hotel at 2pm Although, check in is at 3pm I put in the time of my arrival on the app, it was confirmed

I checked in at the front desk and was told it was too early due to the hotel being short staffed for housekeepers that the room wasn’t cleaned yet I left attended a party Came back at 7:30pm And I was informed that the hotel did not have anymore rooms available!!! How is this possible? I felt like they knew this the first time I checked in and tried to play it off! They offered to pay for a hotel across the street by the name Choice My husband is a Marriott employee and has been for 14 years I don’t stay in any other hotel other than Marriott And I won’t start today Especially when I booked this hotel two weeks ago!

When we got there we had the unexpected $100 security deposit

then was given a room that wasn’t cleaned and was already occupiedthe second room the hot water didn’t work and we was told that basically the owner was aware and he’s compensating people if they decided to stayhow are we going to stay when there’s NO hot water! Then when we suggested they inform people of this we were told “her boss didn’t tell her to do that” 😑😑 then we were rushed to come down to get our refund Don’t waste your money or time!

I’m hesitant about even leaving the review I’m about to give because I’m selfish and I don’t want the rates to go up but honestly I was impressed I almost backed out due to some of the reviews but I’m sure glad I didn’t I traveled to Montgomery to go to the casino for my birthday and decided to stay here instead of at the casino

There was a problem with my payment because I booked through a hotel site and they canceled my reservation but the front desk receptionist was kind enough to reinstate it at the same rate We ended up with the same room we initially booked The room was immaculate, the bed was comfortable, and there was a full kitchen stocked with utensils and paper towels The location was close enough to everything and right off the interstate only 20 minutes from the casino My only complaint isn’t a reflection of the hotel but the city itself the smell is almost repulsive !!

Very impressive property located right in the heart of downtown Montgomery Unique in that it used to be a warehouse and they have a lot of exposed brick and beams that they kept in place This adds a nice ambience to the property

The service was terrific, including everyone at the front desk, especially Tasia Also, have to give a shout out to Sue Haney in housekeeping who could not have been more nice and outgoing! The rooms were nicely appointed, and most importantly, very clean Overall a terrific and enjoyable experience Would definitely recommend this property and look forward to staying here again in the futureIf I had one complaint…parking costs $25 per night!

I debated on the stars to give because the room I ended up staying in on the first floor was fantastic, well appointed, quiet, and unique It had soaring ceilings and a combination of dated elements that gave it character and modern touches that made it feel chic Another plus was many of the staff were friendly and helpful

However, there were some issues, biggest of which is parking There is none You have the choice of expensive valet, parking at meters that start at 8am or a parking garage blocks away If you’re walking around downtown it’s fine But if you need to get around by car, it’s not at all convenientThe other challenge I had was my original room had several issues with the lock Rather than take my word that the keys were not working, the night attendant had me cycle the keys a few times before trying them himself and realizing the lock was faulty This was all taking place at 1am, which made it worse Thankfully, I was moved to a lovely room after the back-and-forth on the keys

Edith Ayres

Unbelievably beautiful rooms Spacious and clean enoughVery quiet location right next to Starbucks

Very kind, professional, responsive, knowledgeable front desk associatesThe only downside was the lack of valet service While there is a valet service available, they provide no assistance in locating luggage carts, loading and unloading, and the front entrance is atop a steep inclineOtherwise I can’t wait to stay here again!
