Had some issues while checking in Whatever computer system they were using seemed to be causing problems for them The woman that was helping me kept getting frustrated and kept asking for help

Finally she tells the woman I can’t do this and walks away Leaving only 1 person there to take care of 2 lines That was really the only issue on our whole stay The room was clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable There was a large stain on the carpet of the room Maybe have the carpet shampooed sometime The bathroom was clean and had plenty soap, shampoo, lotion, and conditioner All in all it was a positive experience Highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area

If i could give 0 stars

This place was trash! The room was dirty, there was no soap in my room, the sheets were musty, and I had to go to 4 different floors to get ice Trying to get a hold of anyone at the desk forget it! it would be easier to cure cancer I checked out on Sunday and up until now, Wednesday I am not able to get anyone to answer the phone There is no microwave in the rooms, one at the front desk (motels are classier than that!) The front desk staff was incredibly rude and not at all helpful We forgot a jacket in the room went back not even an hour later and they told us we would have to come back tomorrow because housekeeping was gone? (at 1pm) I said I live in Canada and need to get the jacket they said no problem call and we will ship it to you Good luck getting any of those lazy workers to answer the phone! For the price of this hotel, go elsewhere Not worth it even for free I would NEVER stay here again and I recommend you don’t either

Hotel is amazing and comfortable to stay in Staff has excellent service and would highly recommend for travelers The staff members go above and beyond their service to help customers

I highly appreciate the hard work they do Rooms are in excellent condition, comfortable, and clean Location is near some stores, food, and attractions in downtown Hartford The parking is located in the back of the hotel I did have some trouble finding it at first but, the front desk was very helpful and did an amazing job guiding me I hope families will stay at this hotel because I highly recommend it if your in town

Crystal Lefoy

This location could definitely use a MAJOR overhaul Our first room was quite gross and unfit for any person to stay as it smelled of mold and cigarettes, had ripped carpet throughout, a light fixture not working, plus stains on the walls, ceilings, and furniture The second room was better, but still 3 stars

Breakfast was pretty good and thankful that it was free I will say that Carolyn at the front desk was AMAZING and I appreciate her helping make my daughters 5th grade graduation trip better There were no issues with any of the staff we encountered as all were pleasant I seriously hope corporate finds it in the budget to renovate this location as it reeks of 2005

Harry Douglas

Probably the biggest hotel rooms you will ever see!! Ask for one of the rooms ending in 01 if you can!The staff are wonderful and really go above and beyond when it comes to customer service The breakfast isn’t the same every day and there’s always plenty of choice The location is great for food and drink options in the evening

I stayed there two weeks in a row for workWould stay there again!

Love this location The staff is always professional The rooms are always cleaned thoroughly

The pool is a awesome size (3ft to 5ft) and plenty of room to swim w/o feeling crowded if it was full It is open from 6am to 10pm) Same time of gym which over looks the pool Plenty of parking Conference rooms (4 I believe) are great sizes Bar and dining also available ( I did not use but looks like a good adult hangout area) But the food is AMAZING Best thing I suggest is to become a Hilton Honors member for small perks also Can’t wait to go back

Ashley O’Donnell

I have stayed here three times All three times were great experiences I loved the food, the service was great, my room was clean

It was conveniently located to restaurants, coffee shops, stores, and to where I was working down in Bristol The pool was warm, clean and open late enough for me to use after work The gym is open 24/7 Breakfast was amazing, there were so many options in the buffet I would go back again

Our stay at the Inn was absolutely wonderful! We stayed at the Inn Friday and Saturday for our wedding! The rehearsal dinner was held here on Thursday evening and the dinner service was exceptional!! Mason was amazing to work with from beginning to end! He handled every detail with ease and letting us enjoy our time! The Inn has such historical charm our family and friends loved there stay as well

Anthony Tarasoff

I give it a five star because it was an excellent hotel, my only complaint that I have was that when I tried to get another night they were going to not only charge me full price(when I found it cheaper), but also charge me another $50 for the pet deposit and $50 for incidentals when I already had that on the first nightThe bartenders from the hotel tavern were excellentWill definitely still put this hotel in as a return hotel for me and my family

Sierra Unsworth

We chose the Inn at Middletown to use as the preferred hotel for our wedding, including a room block of 35+ rooms and suites (which is pretty substantial in a hotel that has under 100 rooms) and renting out the hotel bar for a wedding after party The hotel itself is very nice, comfortable, and clean and the front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating from check in to check out Can’t say enough good things about them! The management/sales team and restaurant/bar staff were an entirely different story

They were extremely disorganized, unresponsive, and the customer service was far less than stellar When I booked the after party, I was informed that the final payment was due at least 1 week in advance and they would not remind me, so I had to keep track of that date strictly (which was fine) About 3-4 weeks in advance I started checking in with the hotel, only to get passed around to 3+ different contacts at the hotel, all of which had no idea about my booking and seemed to think it was someone else’s responsibility I finally spoke with someone who seemed like they knew what they were doing, and they assured me they would reach out the week of for final payment That never happened The week of, I had to reach out again to ensure I would not be charged a late fee, and was once more passed around between staff members, all assuming it wasn’t their job to deal with This level of unprofessionalism was all baffling to me, especially since the hotel charges a 22% “service fee” for event bookings, which is separate from gratuity 22% for this service???The night of the after party, the bar staff was straight up rude to my guests and to my parents, who were footing the bill I was extremely unimpressed and would not recommend wasting any of your money on hosting events at this site We expected more when we were spending thousands of dollars on just a couple hours of relaxed drinks & pizza

Beautiful spacious bed & breakfast lovingly managed by owners Consistently outstanding service My sense is that care and feeding of guests is job #1

For example: we reserved a room with queen size bed which turned out to be too small for our comfort (not the owners’ fault – the bed size was as specified in reservation) We were able to switch rooms for larger bed in the middle of our visit with no issue Walking distance to several worthy restaurants

Hannah Blount

This b&b is so beautiful and the host was warm, friendly and welcoming Dmitriy met us at the door and gave us a quick tour of the history of the house Our room was lovely, the bed comfortable, and beautifully decorated

The following morning we were treated to an extravagant breakfast of fresh fruit, omelette and pancakes We will definitely return!

Hayden Johnson

We had a lovely time at the b&b! Olga was a wonderful host and very kind during our short stay The Christmas decorations were starting to go up and it looked beautiful The breakfast table was also set up so nicely (and the food was great- she was kind enough to fix gluten free foods)

The bathroom in our room looked to be recently renovated and was very nice Highly recommend!

Would call it a “3star+” hotel with standard amenities (gym, pool etc) Rooms are nice and very spacious Bed spreads for us were a little staind, but otherwise the room was very clean

Price is good for the area Service is good Breakfast is a bit limited in my opinion If you need to do stuff in the area its a convenient place to stay, but you probably need a car

Kevin M

Could have been better Front desk clerk (younger female) was indifferent upon my arrival Despite my Diamond member status, she never offered me a snack at check-in nor did she provide me with an overview of the unique layout of the property (i

e my room could only be accessed using the left elevator) To that end, I took the wrong elevator only to have to walk around the entire building to get to my room Because this was a business trip, I was tax exempt Despite my providing the tax exempt form to her at check-in, the taxes were not removed Otherwise, property is adequate and clean with standard amenities

Nick Meers

Stayed her because I was able to use my AAdvantage miles, which got me and my family a one bedroom suite When we arrived our room wasn’t ready (3pm check-in we showed up at 3:30pm) for an hour and a half as they were low on staff Not a big deal

The hotel was fine, nothing bad nor good, everyone was friendly, the morning breakfast was as expectedAfter leaving, I find out that our card was charged for the full price of the stay and our points were also taken out I called the hotel to which they said I had to call the third-party company to dispute it, even though Hilton billed me After going back and forth with Rocketmiles and Hilton for almost a month now (no call backs from either companies), I’m told I’ll be refunded in 5-7 business days I was told the person who charged me was new and accidently billed usUnacceptable No apology or courteously call back

The Goodwin, named “Hartford’s Boutique Hotel” I’ve stayed in a lot of places that have dubbed themselves to be “boutique” but just end up being “old as hell”The Goodwin is a rather old building, as much of Downtown Hartford is but it is an absolutely beautiful building

The entire hotel operates properly under the “boutique” name as they have all areas, including the rooms, as a rather swanky, classy way The whole place is updated and modern, but maintains a very historic feel to their conceptThe rooms are very nice and comfortable The shower was great other than they have the “no door” concept, and no matter how I had the shower head, the floor of the bathroom would flood Just a slight design flaw is all it is But other than that everything was great Bed was super comfortable and the staff was amazing!!! The staff was very professional and polite throughout the propertyHad a great stay, looking forward to coming back

Matt Stone

Loved this place Very cute, spacious rooms, especially the bathroom Some of the most comfortable pillows and beds I have ever slept on at a hotel

Softest toilet paper for sure! We came for an event at the XL Center and this was right next door and within walking distance of a lot of Hartford attractions Would stay here again if we visit Hartford again!

Celia Hamilton

Let me tell you about my stay here I stayed here with my husband for one amazing night 4/29/22 to 4/30/22 Front desk staff upon check-in and check out were amazing kind and friendly

The room was spotless and beautifully designedThe bathroom was beautiful I’m not easily pleased but this hotel wasEverything My hubby and I will definitely be back

It’s absolutely an amazing experience They were quick to resolve issues in the room Staff was very nice

They could use new towels and linen as some of them are very old, clean, but old and rough towels The vanity mirror didn’t work, and I am not sure if it was the plug or the socket I would stay again for sure Valets were very nice and helpful

Curt Townshend

Great experience that started when we drove up until they packed our car upon departure Every aspect was first class and every person we encountered was friendly and helpful By far the best hotel experience we have had in a long time

While we did not use the Spa, we were blown away by Artisan – perhaps the best restaurant in Connecticut Excellent location as we could walk across the street and have access to shops, bars and restaurants Will definitely visit again!

Madison Curtis

So thankful to the ladies who helped me check in late without a reservation All staff was super friendly as well Our room was wonderful and the complimentary breakfast was excellent

The Delmar West Hartford is legitimately one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in recent memory They were also super accommodating as a pet friendly hotel – we had our dog with us Hoping to find an excuse to get back to West Hartford in the future just to stay at the Delmar!

Came here on business and found the Fairfield Plainville to be an excellent propertyIt all starts with staff and we were greeted by Joe at the front desk This hotel is lucky to have such a personable and caring employee! Our room was very nice as well as the breakfast they provide

A tiny pool, which we didn’t use would best be served as more rooms or something Amazingly small! There is a nice restaurant attached so that’s a bonus! We would definitely stay here again!

Dona F

It took me awhile to understand how their housekeeping works Because of pandemic, they don’t clean rooms daily,or empty trash You have to put the trash outside your room door

You can request clean towels at the front desk, and get them right away If they leave a note for housekeeping to bring you fresh towels, they forget Anytime a housekeeper opens your door, whenever your not in,the key card stops working and you have to walk a distance to the front desk so they can fix it Not a good thing if you’re disabledThe staffis friendly and pleasant Because of the recession and pandemic there are not enough staff Please be patient and kind to them

Paul DeFelice

Stayed for 5 nights When we got to the room, there was a musty smell in it but it wasn’t overbearing There was no shampoo or soap either

Had to go to the front desk at midnight The gentleman behind the desk gave me some shampoo and a bottle of body wash since he couldn’t find any soap bars They never cleaned our room nor did they change out the towels or empty the garbage I learned that you have to request all of that The location was convenient and close to the highway Room decor was decent & room was clean Beds were comfortable enough I didn’t eat at the breakfast buffet that’s included with the stay but it was the typical food items for this kind of hotelscrambled eggs, sausage, toast, english muffins, bagels, cereal, yogurt, coffee & juices It was better priced than the Holiday Inn Express on the Berlin Turnpike and a little nicer I’d stay again

Negative stars if I could give them This qualifies as don’t judge a book by its cover It looks nice, but experience was the complete opposite

The event I attended was double booked The day before they notified that we had to be out earlier than booked the next day When trying to get out of the room they were pushing us out of the room and starting to change it over The next group was already in the lobby A friend who spent the night experienced housekeeping at her door at 6 am to clean the room Very rude and unhelpful employees They yelled at those asking for help Only encountered two nice people outside of my group Those were the ones serving the luncheon

Wendy Badillo

Although this hotel is pet friendly which is nice for those who have pets, the floor was disgusting and smelled as if it had not been cleaned There were very obvious brown pet stains on the brown carpet I made my family wear their flip-flops while in the room (even right out of the shower)

Sadly, when we complained to the front desk, we couldn’t be moved because the hotel was sold out As a Marriott Bonvoy member, this is VERY disappointing!

Room was very clean and looked like it did in the photos Booked and prepaid for room through Priceline without any issues The Inn staff are kind and helpful

There is a 10 dollar facility fee per night that the hotel charges once you get to the Inn but considering you have breakfast included and there is happy hour/snacks + pool access, it seems worth it! Close to downtown Hartford, about 10 min drive Would recommend!

Kristofer Lamb

Staff was good Overall check in was nice and quick Looked very cute in the lobby

The room looked good and cute at first glance After entering the room it just felt damp in there every we touched just felt damp With mildew smellAfter looking around more the tub was covered in other peoples hair, toilet had hair in it and is cracked looks like it’s about to break, carpet was barely vacuumed, found hair on the sheets , blood spots on the walls Over all the room condition is horribleWe will not be staying here again

Lizzi Perkins

Quaint inn in a quaint town This inn was picturesque with the decor and vibes I wanted to see from a trip to New England The classy lobby had nice couches and a fireplace to sit in (we stayed up chatting until the early morning after a wedding)

Breakfast was nice from 7-11 with complementary coffee and fruit (bananas, apples, and oranges) out at all hours (which prevented some hangovers for our party)Staff were very friendly and accommodating, letting us check in a couple hours early so we could prep for the wedding

This was the first time staying in this area It was wonderful A nice place to stay for a weekend getaway

The room and bed was comfortable It was a bit cool so we had the pool all to ourselves It took a few minutes to get acclimated but afterward we swam for nearly an hour The sitting area on the first floor was very open and inviting There were many large windows I also enjoyed walking the labyrinthine floors and stairwells It was a great stay

Kim Davoren

We used the Courtyard at Marriott (Cromwell) for our wedding guests (hotel room block) and 3 wedding events The Sales Manager, Jennifer Roze was amazing! She was nice, knowledgeable, answered all questions promptly, was helpful every step of the way! She quickly resolved any issue or question I had This hotel also doesn’t penalize you if you don’t utilize all the rooms in your room block

That isn’t true for other hotels I was looking at Regarding the 3 Wedding Events (Hair & Makeup Room with Breakfast for the ladies, a separate Breakfast for the men, an After Party and a Post Wedding Breakfast All 3 events exceeded my expectations!! All staff at the hotel (literally every person I came in contact with) was pleasant, welcoming, and effective The food and drinks (Wedding Day Breakfast, After Party items, Post Wedding Breakfast) were delivered on time, were tasty, and plentiful The head of housekeeping introduced herself to me outside of the Hair & Make-up room and said if there’s anything she can do for me/us, to let her know To me, that is above and beyond For the after party, I didn’t realize that they would keep replenishing food That was a pleasant surprise At the post wedding breakfast, everything was delicious The pastries and breads were top quality Plenty of juice options Coffee was good As for the rooms, they were spacious, beds were comfortable, good water pressure in the shower All good The price for the rooms and events were reasonable They had professional looking signs for each event Thank you to everyone at the hotel who helped to make all our events a HUGE SUCCESS!! We and our guests were very happy I highly recommend this hotel for a Wedding Weekend option!

We were on a birthday trip for my wife and we chose the Residence Inn for its location and because we prefer what Residence Inn’s have to offer While the majority of our frequent stays over the years at Residence Inns are very pleasant and professional, this particular inn had a much appreciated bonus factor

its people Carlin, Janette and Samantha went out of their way to acknowledge my wife’s birthday and tend to our needswe really felt at home there on this trip We even got to share some breakfast time with some of our finest who serve our country All in all a great tripwe’ll be back! Thank you!

We made this the preferred hotel for guests for my daughter’s wedding Rented the large meeting room to host all guests the night before the wedding Brought in our own beer and canned drinks along with snacks

The full sized room fridges helped in keeping the drinks and food cold until our welcome event started Worked out great Everyone liked the hotel Very short drive to downtown Southington which has many interesting restaurants We liked a small Pakistani restaurant Only 15 minute drive to the New England Carousel Museum where we had the reception There is a great mini golf course only 15 miles away which was the recreational event morning before the reception

This long stay hotel (or residence as they call themselves) is a nice place to stay when in town for work or leisure Rooms are big enough to accommodate two people easily; each room has two tv’s, a big couch, a desk, a dinner table, a functional kitchenette, a well spaced closet and all of this is distributed like a small apartment I can recommend this place easily

Amenities in the outside included a grill, a basketball court and a swimming pool (which is suspiciously always “temporarily closed”

During these trying times, I felt the staff was the best part of my stay here They were friendly and very helpful Anything you asked for was provided immediately

The breakfast area was well tended to and kept very clean Our annual trips to CT for the past 10 years has always brought us to this establishment and I wouldn’t change that

Great rooms I’ve stayed at this Residence Inn many times over the years I usually stay in a suite with a kitchen (stove, microwave, etc

) and a king bed Great staff and always friendly Before CO VID, they had a very good breakfast buffet (scrambled eggs, sausages, ham or bacon Now they have pre-packaged breakfast sandwiches Other than that, I recommend this Residence Inn and look forward to my next stay

Clean spacious rooms with separate door so that one can easily take office call without disturb Management is friendly but need to plan breakfast as per guest number We were there for 3 weeks and observed that we to had wait for the food or buffet was empty Overall hotel was kept clean both inside and outside

There are facilities such as basketball court, Gym,in door pool which maintained well Coffee station was kept clean and always available in the lobby If need quick print out desktop is kept and staff will help you as well This pet friendlyHowever negative points house keeping came only once during our stay, room AC was not working and once we informed in the late eve there was no one from maintenance to check There was no follow up we had to again inform the issue However after 2 days our room was changed Their both maintenance and house keeping seem like under staff Front desk is run by trainees who once gave us wrong information as room rate when wanted to check to extended the stay Luckily be rechecked again next day as well we looked other options outside Overall if you looking for short stay this recommended but if exceeds more 3 day pls check room amenities so that won’t have troubles

The hotel is just off I-91 at the intersection of two very busy local streets The traffic noise is unavoidably loud and constant You can hear big 18 wheels passing by even well into the night like 3, 4 am

If you want a somewhat quiet night’s sleep, this hotel is definitely not a good choice The hotel staff was friendly though Even with renovation, the usable areas were kept clean and the room was nice too

Fred Harwood

As of the end of April the hotel is still being renovated, we were notified of this by Marriott when I made the reservation and again as the the date of my visit neared The staff was exceptionally helpful and went out of their way to help us when we arrived after driving through the night to arrive on time for a family gathering The parking was somewhat limited by the work trucks but I was always able to find a well lit spot close to the building

Great access to I-91 and the Dunkin Doughnuts shop is just across the street!

Was in town 2/18- 2/20First and foremost the staff was above 5 stars While using the computer in the business area I overheard the staff many times give advice to to guest on not only how to get a better rate, also over advice to make their stay more comfortable and enjoyable

Secondly, the bed(s) are AMAZING! I have not slept on a bed that comfortable in years The pillow top mattress is what does the trickThere was a young family with young kids staying next to me that I could here as I walked past their room But once onside my room I couldn’t hear a peepAs someone who is Algeria to cigarette smoke I could not detect any they are constant cleaning and sanitizingWhile still undergoing renovations the main areas were clean and welcoming Work only takes place during the day and is sealed offUnfortunately, due to COVID safety measures the breakfast is only grab-and-go at this time, but was still a very good breakfast that I took back to my roomNext time I am back in town I will definitely stay here

Parking was a breeze, and staff apparently love their jobs – they welcomed me warmly, and went out of their way to help me and my luggage to my room It’s lovely to find people who enjoy what they do, it reflects really well on management The establishment is super clean, and quiet

The room is decorated tastefully, and features a fridge and microwave, two things I always look for There’s a desk and a comfy chair, and lighting is either direct or indirect Nice big TV I would highly recommend for a solo or business traveler

Super friendly and helpful staff We went to see a concert and stayed overnight The front desk helped us print out the tickets before we left and helped us out late night with some forks so we could eat

Very clean hotel Breakfast was a nice spread and the pool is really nice Every staff member greeted me with a smile and helped me with whatever i needed I would absolutely stay here again and recommend to anyone
