The room was spacious, clean and has every thing that you can ask for (modern bathroom, small fridge, coffee maker, microwave, vent in the bathroom and handheld shower head) Staff were nice and checking in and checking out were good too 4 stars because when we entered the room it had a smoking smell that didn’t go away, as if someone just finished smoking

So I guess the carpet smells that way from a previous guest because all the hotel rooms are not smoking as per the receptionist

I work for a company that travels a lot This company they are Choice Hotel members Platinum members So as you know we travel a lot we’re on the road

It’s very tiring and exhausting The rooms are very clean everything so modern and up-to-date Service is amazing We had an issue what’s people above us We did not sleep all night After getting in at 12 and being woken up at 5 am call the front desk Warning was given This continued throughout the night Finally after a second complaint people upstairs were told to leave and we were compensated for the room Ends up being a free stay Excellent service by far Very satisfied the way Management in front desk handled this situation Staff is very courteous and considerate always asking if there’s anything we needed You’re looking for a place to stay clean rooms Bluetooth mirrors in the bathroom updated everything Comfortable beds clean clean clean This would be a Clear Choice in a place to rest your head for the evening or a week You’ll be well taken care of by the staff

Chuck Ng

Stayed for a week here Overall it was a good experience The place is next to a grocery store and starbucks so you can pick up anything you need for your stay

The room wasn’t the cleanest, there was some hairs left over and the chair was quite dirty The bathroom was clean and modern We didn’t spend much time at the place other than sleeping so I can’t speak to the pool, gym, or food My final charge was more than what I was quote during my reservation from their website After waiting for them to “look into it” they said the room rates were correct and they’re not sure what was wrong They didn’t honor the reservation price

The hotel is very nice, a few thing I found that I didn’t like, rooms are very small for what you pay There is no fridge no safe or microwave and I understand, this is for layovers, pilots and stewards but a nice view of the airport with the planes taking off and landing Rooms are up to date service was good with a smile

Overall it was a good stay and I would returnFinal note: I did ask for the larger king room, rooms are also sound proof from the airplane noise, you hear nothing

K

This hotel is an interesting place to stay I have a friend who lives out of state that flies in every other month to visit and we stay here He usually gets a room with a view of the airport so you can watch the planes taking off and in the distance you can either see the NYC skyline or downtown Newark skyline

It has amazing views It’s a huge hotel tons of people coming and going We usually sit in the lobby/bar area have a few drinks and people watch It’s an extremely clean hotel and very modern These weren’t my best pictures the other time we stayed here we had a better view but the flash on my camera messed up the pictures

ken p

Really nice hotel close to ewr Airport The beds were nice but to comfortable so it took me a bit to fall asleep, no reason to give it a 4star The food at the restaurant I’m sorry I will not pay 20 for a burger

There are some really good places to eat that will deliver, also your nuts if you pay the price of snacks in the lobby The 7/11 down the street which is a quick 10min walk has all you snack needs The shuttle is every 15min so don’t freak out if you miss the bus there will be another one

Overall a great hotel, and definitely plan on staying here again if in the area Check in was easy, the room was great, and breakfast at the restaurant was really good and decently priced Couple weird quirks, no top sheet on the beds, no wash clothes, and didn’t seem a waiter knew I was sitting outside, but that’s probably just due to new staff/lack of staff everyone is experiencing right now

Would recommend this place and would stay again, think the money we paid for the stay was perfect

S Bess

Rooms are small but clean Personnel are friendly and helpful (with one notable exception) At check in, we asked about available upgrades and were told that we were receiving a complimentary upgrade

The man then gave us a room that, we found out later, was not supposed to be available for guests due to major maintenance issues and was NOT an upgrade even if the door and the sink worked properly It was clear that he deliberately lied to us as we found out two days later, when we were told that we had to move rooms and we should never have been in that room because of the well documented issues and that room upgrades were not a thing at this hotel and we hadn’t received one (which was obvious as soon as we saw our room) Moving rooms unexpectedly made us late for an appointmentOther than the deliberate lie and deliberately putting us in a room with a security issue (door did not shut properly), the stay was a positive experience

Bret Williams

A very pleasant enough remodel The linens and general vibe was nice However, a couple of peeves: the desk chairs are not on wheels

Makes it very difficult to move close enough to do work while easily getting up Second, the lighting in the bathroom is way too dimAlso, the wallpaper in my room was peeling at the jointsGreat location and friendly staff Needs some work, though to make it a 4 or 5 star hotel

Second time staying here There used to be a nice pool but they don’t use it anymore We had to order takeout from a local pizza joint because no food was offered here

But that food we did order was awesome So thanks for the recommendation! The room was very nice as were the people at the front desk The location is perfect for anyone either going to Newark Airport or the Cape Liberty Cruise Port just an easy 15 minute drive away Already planning on coming back here in January

Desiree Ferrell

This is a very business heavy location that seems to be focused towards quick airport travelers rather than people going on vacation The location to the airport is hard to beat and a major highlight if you are making a quick in and out like an overnight delay or a flight connection They only provide up to 2 breakfast meals for Bonvoy members so if you are traveling with more than two people in the same room (like children or 3 people like we were) that might be a downside

The main issue was the charges Parking is $20 a day which seems a bit much Also our final bill has some extra charges to our room that we did not make We were trying to notify the front office, but the front desk told us they would look at it later We didn’t have time to wait so we just had to pay as is or we’d miss our flight An unfortunate experience at the end, but a serviceable place for very quick 1-2 night stays

Jason Hiltabidel

The hotel is nice and the rooms were clean It’s in a decent location if you are going to the airport Beware if you are using their shuttle service

Getting to the airport isn’t a problem Returning from the airport is a big issue that they really need to fix They say they run the shuttle every half hour, 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after the hour The problem is they never show upMy family and I have been stranded at the airport 2 or 3 times The shuttle never came even after calling the hotel We waited over a hour and a half at the P4 location where all the hotel shuttles are located This wasn’t a one time issue, it has happened multiple times The first two times we had to call a cab The third time a nearby hotel shuttle dropped us off It’s extremely frustrating after a long flight, it’s late, and still have a 2 hour drive homeI’ll never rely on their inconsistent shuttle service again Do yourself a favor and make other plans to get backIf driving to the airport, be careful and pay close attention to the directions The roads can be confusing and one wrong exit can add 7 or 8 miles to your trip Our cab driver found this out the hard way

Having a great stay and this will definitely be my hotel of choice when I come back again for work Love having the kitchen in the room, though it’s honestly not even that necessary with the free breakfast and on week nights they give you a free drink ticket and some bread and cheese There are also a good handful of restaurants nearby and it’s right across from the PATH station

Great choice for any stay in the area

Stayed here for short trip to NYC

Check in was easy, room was double studio Everything in room was clean and in order upon arrival Desk staff was friendly and helpful Public transit right across street, very easy to hop a train into NYC A few different dinning options with in walking distance, plus on site resturant with dinner options Would stay again

Denise Spencer

We are staying here for five days The place could use a new living room set but otherwise it is a nice place to stay Manhattan hotels prices have become outrageous and since we’re traveling and visiting both Manhattan and Brooklyn this place seem to be Central to where we needed to be

We have the one bedroom apartment I wouldn’t call it a room because it has a bedroom, a living room a small dining area, small kitchen and a pretty decent bathroom If you want to be in Manhattan and don’t mind a 20-minute ride on the PATH train, this is the place besides when you’re coming to a vacation in New York you’re not planning on staying in the room anyway Customer service is great! I met the desk staff and the cleaning personnel The restaurants that are here “Ah Pizz” for pizza and Five Guys, and right downstairs there’s a restaurant on location here at the hotel and other stores and pub places nearby

I’ve been coming here for a long time If you stay for a few days you for sure won’t be let downIt’s a great hotel: comfortable, neat and classy The pool is nice and not especially crowded; a great place for a kiddo to blow off some steam The staff was friendly and graciously listened to my daughter try to check in her giant stuffed dragon to our room with us

victoria tague

I used the Westin hotel as my wedding room block for my January wedding Gary and his staff were amazing I must have sent multiple emails checking on my block and adding rooms, and everything was always answered and done quickly and promptly

Everything I requested for my room was there when I checked in Myself, and my bridesmaids were able to all get ready in my room They did not require you to use the hotel catering, so I ordered coffee from the hotel, and breakfast from an outside vendor All my guests were comfortable in their rooms, hotel bags were delivered timely The hotel was clean, modern, up to date All staff was welcoming and helpful from bell service to cleaning service to requesting a late check out I would recommend this hotel for any future bride looking for a room block or to stay their as a guest

Amazing experience Great view Great staff

Room was in great conditions The only person that seemed a little upset was the lady cleaning the pool area She seemed like she wanted to go home and we were the reason holding her back Asked for a towel and she made me feel like i was asking her for her first born Besides that, every staff member I met ANYWHERE in the hotel treated my family and I like we were Royalty Definitely staying here againBeds: A+Restaurants: A+Pool: A+Staff A+

I booked 3 rooms, got them on the same floor I wiped everything with my Clorox wipes and was happy to see no dirt or even dust! The bartender was nice, the restaurant was closed off but kitchen was still open, we ordered food and ate by the bar The location was great, restaurants in walking distance and the train to NYC was nearby too which is where we spent most of the days

Beds were super comfy…my toddler and infant slept well and my parents and in laws stated they slept comfortably Overall good experience here and will book again when visiting

Marianna Mansour

Had to book a block of rooms for several directors for a corporate offsite nearby Karen was very nice and accommodating Everyone was very impressed with their rooms

It was much more than they were expecting I liked my waterfront view, the comfy bed, and the amenities They even offered extending our rate to others outside our company who had to meet us in town Karen even followed up to make sure we were happy Service was excellent!

Jenn Q

Our stay was mostly pleasant My biggest complaint is that two of the elevators need to be serviced The sensors do not work

For most of our stay we dealt with the doors closing on us as we walked in, but we dealt with it because it bumped either my husband or myself But when our four year old was pushed down into the elevator and onto the floor because the door began to close on her, that was not okay Thankfully I was able to put my arm and leg in to prevent the elevator from completely closing on her feet I reported it to the front desk They were apologetic and said they would have someone come out and service the elevator We checked out that same day, so I’m not sure if it actually happened Our room was okay We didn’t use the sofa bed because it was worn and looked like it needed to be replaced The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly There was a lot of dust and a used Q-tip on the shelf underneath the sink where our “clean” towels were The shelf clearly had not been wiped in a while Thankfully, I always travel with Lysol wipes and Lysol spray I cleaned that area and we asked for a clean set of towels Would I stay here again, I’m not sure It would depend on if the elevators were actually fixed The other issues were manageable

Incredible experience and a lovely hotel This place is run with unmatched qualityAfter a very rough night of missing a flight and arriving at the hotel at 3 am, the Tryp staff went out of their way to make sure I was accommodated

Both the hotel manager and restaurant manager were incredibly kind, charismatic, and embodied the definition of hospitality Tasty food, comfortable, classyI haven’t experienced such wonderful service like this in years But if you are staying in Newark, you must stay here It is worth it

Emily J.

There’s a free shuttle to the Newark Pennsylvania station and the airport, which was super convenient However, the staff lied to us? They said it leaves every hour on the hour but it’s actually by request We planned our schedule around the hour and then when we came down to get on it wasn’t there and we had to request and wait like 15 minutes

Requesting is more convenient overall, but like why wouldn’t they just tell us that? Parking was $20 per day, not great but fair for the areaThe room was nicely decorated, clean, the bed was comfortable, and water pressure was ok There’s a restaurant in the hotel that we didn’t try but it looked good! Employees were a bit rude but whatever, we liked it overall anyway

I was recently in a wedding that took place in this venue Great food, beautiful place and the wedding planner was absolutely wonderfulHowever…

I went into the room for the ceremony to check the decorations and I heard a LOUD leak and I see a bucket and a huge hole in the ceiling So I’m asking is any body going to fix that what’s going on? The worker that was there was like well there’s nothing we can do because the venue is booked Excuse me…the bride and groom paid to have a beautiful experience The wedding planner came to the rescue and told me not to listen to her because she didn’t know the schedule She then disappeared and left the DJ completely lost looking for where to set up I had to guide himI was so upset because it was not okay The groom then heard her talking about me and he had to address that as well Like do your job!

Pretty awful…we paid for a suite for my brothers wedding (held at a different venue thank goodness) The shower didn’t work correctly We notified the front desk (had to do it in person since the phone in the room was also broken) and they said they would fix it

We had issues with it for the two nights we were there We struggled to get it on each time and we could never turn it off so we let it run Half the outlets didn’t work Majorly outdated rooms For the amount I was charged this was a MAJOR disappointment Would never stay here againI will say the staff was very friendly Only pro I can think of with the awful room

I stayed at this hotel for one night Check in was smooth and the room was clean We stayed here because we were picking somebody up from the airport at 5 am and driving from Brooklyn did not make much sense

We truly only wanted a good night sleep However at 1 am there were guests who were being incredibly loud and we had to call the front desk twice and eventually got to sleep at 3 am I am not one to complain but there should have been some other option, a room change something I called after our stay to talk about it and see what options we had and were told that there was nothing they could do, not to mention it was difficult for 3 days after to get a hold of someone

Catherine Sharp

After I had a poor experience which I described in detail below, I called back today and the front office manager patiently let me tell her my entire story about the cancelled reservation and my refund She never once interrupted me, but kindly allowed me to explain as a customer, how my experience was on that day and the days following when dealing with staff at the Hilton She then was able to rectify the situation, which was so nice because at this point it is about principle to me

She was empathetic and respectful and more people like her should be in customer service

Suzanne Corey

Unfortunately since I’ve retired I haven’t been back to a Hilton but I used to frequent the Hilton hotels a lot in the early 2000’sBig difference now…and not to the better

Granted they still have their shuttle bus back and forth to the airport which is really convenientGone is the bigger restaurant where you could have a quiet enjoyable dinner and in its place is a bar with tables to have a mealKudos to their chef…I had a fantastic 16 ozrib eye steak cooked to perfection Their Caesar salad was also very fresh and the dressing outstanding!Hard time having a quiet dinner with loud drinking people at the barThe feather pillows in the room are always a welcome site! Some of the furniture looked like it came from a second hand store The ceiling had a BIG dried leak of some kind…how long does it take to repair and repaint a ceiling? And I guess the biggest bone of contention was the trying to get the room cooled down enough so I could sleep…ended up opening the windows!!’

The restaurant was acceptable and the beer was descent What more can you ask for when you just need an airport hotel for a night? Definitely a place I will return to

Horrible customer service We booked a room with a King bed 6 months prior to our stay Using the app, we checked in 24 hours to our stay and 20 minutes prior to our arrival we received our mobile key for 2 double beds, not the king room we booked and paid for

The very confrontational manager at the front desk told us there was nothing she could do and offered to refund us and send us on our way How hard is it to offer some type of credit, even to the restaurant, and apologize? We ate in the restaurant after this debacle and the found and ambience was not as advertised Every table was dirty, there was nobody there to seat us, and the food was, what seemed like, microwaved dinners slid out onto your plate and way over priced Unless you’re in desperate need of an overnight stay because your flight is delayed/canceled and nothing else is available, don’t stay here The error hospitality and making the guests happy is lost on this Marriott location Sad to see

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your hotel This web site will compare countless booking websites and typically will have rooms much cheaper than others! You’re welcome :)! This resort is the best rated in this area

I’ve been coming here for a long time If you stay for a few days you definitely will love it I’m sure!Stayed here for a friends wedding and everything and everyone were absolutely fantastic!! The rooms were extremely clean and smelled terrific (due in part to their no smoking inside property policy) The bed was comfortable and the amenities were nice! The entire staff, from the front desk to the bartenders were extremely outgoing and helpful Would definitely recommend and I would absolutely stay again!!

Exceeded my expectations with some of the mixed reviews here Excellent cleanliness, good maintenance, felt welcome & safe Requests over the app were promptly acknowledged and handled, service professional

Quiet room Didn’t try in-house dining but I’m not crazy about “The Bistro” in general – not their fault Look forward to staying again ASAP! Thanks, Brick City Courtyard!!! ❤

I enjoy this hotel because it’s downtown so it’s close to everything I’m gonna need to do in walking distance The air conditioner wasn’t really doing it’s job and the tissue could be better quality

So, you should probably bring your own They have nice bottles in the shower you can use for washing, and your hair That was a new thing Compared to last year this was a better experience

Definitely a good idea putting such a high quality hotel in the heart of Newark Pretty pricey but worth it Super clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff, views are amazing, and many surrounding stores for just about anything you might find that you need

And right next to the Prudential Center which is awesome if you plan on making your stay that much more memorable Anything that helps highlight the great city of Newark I’m all for and this place does just that
