We had a wonderful time staying here! The staff was very friendly The place was very clean and plenty of things to do The location is great! The pools could have been kept a little cleaner, but overall everything was great!! We had 3 small kids and they had a great time! The walk to the beach was close

The view from the room was amazing! Great family vacation place to stay

Megan Jones

Overall the stay was lovely! But for the cost, a few things could be better We were kicked out of the pool with our 5 year old at 9pm on our first night when signs read it’s open until 10 After lightning at 6pm one evening they never allowed the pool to be reopened (storm ended immediately)

You are unable to walk by the pool with beach chairs to go to the beach and will get directed a longer way with all of your stuff/children Staff located at the resort are amazing and so kind! Any time you speak to someone on the phone at the main office they are abrupt, not friendly, and don’t seem to care They also passed along incorrect information… You can’t charge anything to the room at the swim up bar so you have to have cash/card in the pool which is lame but not the end of the world You have to drive through the weirdest route to get to the hotel (through a roundabout) but once you do it, its easy Parking isn’t too bad Pizza place is yummy! Steakhouse is overpriced Room was clean and comfy

Julie Weltens

What an amazing resort! We traveled with friends and each rented our own separate house for 3 nights We enjoyed it so much we decided to stay 1 more night in the Jasmine Tower Both experiences were great for different reasons

The houses are spacious and private The towers have amazing views and are on top of all the action The resort is very clean and all staff we came in contact with: front desk, housekeeping, shuttle driver, poolside, pizza restaurant were all very friendly Chance Ivy at Check-in was very helpful! And the North Beach Pizza Co Located on the 3rd floor of the tower was delicious Best brick oven pizza!!

The room was not very clean, all appliances and kitchenette were available My child’s feet were dirty from walking in the room for a while The balcony is small

Both bathtubs were dirty There was old popcorn lying around on the floorA few steps from the beach Great!BUT watch out if you complain about noisy movies in the pool area playing at around 11 pm, the front desk suddenly loses the remote control over the volume You can hear this movie from the moon Why??? There were 2 people in the pool watching it They decided to please those two people and annoy the majority of the clientele We have one year old and I was afraid the whole time he will be woken up I thought this was supposed to be a family friendly place Also, why aren’t there blackout blinds in all rooms? What if one of the guests wants to get a good nap? Also, outdoor pools are kind of gross Kiddie pool had garbage in it Literally garbage It was so gross My complaint also refers to customers Guys remove your garbage, be respectful to a place where you stay Let’s not be pigs The indoor pool was okayIt is absolutely ridiculous when staff take complaints personally You need to separate your personal and professional life I am NOT calling to complain about your personality, I am complaining about the noise that doesn’t let my family go to bed early and get some freaking rest This is supposed to be a vacation I don’t recommend it to anyone who wants to deal with staff and management who simply don’t understand the simple principles of getting a good night’s sleep for their GUESTS!!!Disappointed for a highly rated hotel

Randy McCleary

What a great resort, we had so much fun here and was a super awesome vacation The resort sits right on the beach and there were lots of places in walking distance in town The house keeping staff were super awesome, they went above and beyond when they did our mid week house keeping service

We will definitely have to come back in future

Everyone was so nice and welcoming Room was perfect, small but we honestly didn’t need a lot of space because it was just me and my husband Right on the beach with a beautiful view

The restaurant attached had good drinks At first a couple of the bartenders seemed standoffish but weren’t at all! Started talking and all of them were amazing! Food was also amazing Definitely believe this will be our to go spot next year

Too many bad reviews for a solid hotel on the beachMy fiance and I had booked this hotel in May 2020 (during peak covid) for travel during the summer We went in July 2020

We had booked a ocean front room, and it was the best decision in the entire world We arrived around 5 pm, and since it was evening by the time we got there, we decided to just hang out and sit on the balcony and just enjoy the ocean waves Amazing We sat there for 2 solid hours just listening to the calm soundsAs soon as we entered the room though, we decided to wipe everything down with Clorox wipes we had brought from our home We wiped down EVERYTHING from the door handles to the balcony chairs down to the tv remote It’s better to be extra safe than not at all The beds were comfortable, and even though the bathroom was tiny, it was manageable The views were great and the distance to the beach was awesome The hotel could use a little renovation, but still I would definitely recommend!

Janell Medlock

I read over several of the reviews at this hotel There were just as many good reviews as well as bad That’s when I decided I would see for myself

My room was very clean The bed slept very well and the linen was clean There were plenty of towels and wash cloths in the bathroom We even had a balcony view of the beach I didn’t look for the confederate flag that everyone posted about and frankly didn’t care Whatever you believe morally is up to you As long as you treat people with respect that’s all that matters 💯 The only complaint is the guests upstairs at 4 in the morning making noise But it was quickly handled Great food and great stay!!!!!

We picked the Courtyard at Barefoot Landing since it was the highest rated chain hotel in the Myrtle Beach area we could find that was also pet friendly The lobby area was nice and the room was clean Our biggest issue was that it is an older hotel (built in 1999 and last renovated in 2010) so common areas and rooms look dated with visible dings throughout

We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite over Presidents Day weekend with an average rate of $235 per night Comparable hotels/rooms at that price point would typically have a kitchen in a 1 bedroom suite, but the Courtyard did not (we knew this at the time of booking) This combined with no complimentary breakfast really brings the overall value of the hotel down a notch especially when compared to newer hotel brands

B E

Stayed here for a couple nights earlier this week Room was clean but run down- it is clear the building is due for a renovation Door frame in bathroom was actually rusty, and there were a few bugs crawling around- looked like cockroaches, but I don’t think that’s what they were

It’s annoying that they have a policy of only providing housekeeping if you specifically ask for it- I suspect it is because they are short staffed They should be upfront about that in the reservation process Also, my room only had one towel in it, and was missing its ironInteractions with the front desk were all fine and friendly Interactions with everyone else weren’t unfriendly, but definitely had no warmth to them No smiles, no small talk, nothingLocation is close to a lot of things, but the location of the hotel is not amenable to wandering/exploring on foot This particular Courtyard needs an upgrade

Mathew Razpotnik

There was a laundry list of things off about this stay The main issues were the Romance package and housekeeping I had to ask on day 2 of our stay where the champagne and chocolates would be located or if they needed to be brought to the room

The wonderful front desk staff took care of it promptly, however Breakfast was to be included with the package that I bought Yet I was still charged $930 for a single breakfast sandwichHouse keeping was asked to come to the rooms on Tuesday and Thursday, but they never showed until Friday after we checked out In the room itself the suite was spacious The mini fridge worked when it felt like it The bed was comfy The balcony however was tiny and had a hornet nest on the left side Overall it was a less than grand stay Booking through Bonvoy Marriot I expected better

Let me start off positive, your front desk people were excellent, polite and helpful The bathroom in 1904 was good That’s it

The room smelled of fried food, neighbor on the left had many kids making a lot of noise up until 11:30pm with room door opening and slamming closed Neighbor on right must be an owner because the dog barked constantly We have stayed at Bay Watch 5 times and this was definitely the last Facility needs a serious upgrade Could not in good conscience recommend to anyoneKim Allen

We arrive on a Sunday morning After a 4 hour drive they manage to “finish cleaning early” We walk in the room floors are still wet and it is hot in the room

We change the temperature for hopes it would feel better and it did We all leave the room and continue on our day Mind you it is 8 of us in a 2 bedroom room On the first night I wake up to a bed bug on the couch next to me full of blood since we killed it We report it and they say they must wait for a manager The manager calls hours later and says we have a bug guy coming to investigate He says if he finds another one we will go from there Needless to say he find another bed bug on the back of the chair so I walk with him to the front desk At the front desk the lady doesn’t act shocked she asks if it is enough to lock the room and the man says no it is a negative room when we have the proof of both dead bugs We were never able to speak to a manager the entire stay we were there But the lady offered us either a smaller room or half a nights payment back Mind you we payed 500+ dollars a night for 4 nights and get 200 back for catching bed bugs So I ask her again is there anything better we can do and she then says no, if we find another bed bug we will be asked to leave Our ac leaked water on the floors, and the hallways and elevators reeked of trash no matter where you were Overall the stay was not worth the 500 dollars a night when my family could’ve stayed at a motel 6 and drove to the beach everyday

Alexandra VanZile

Great place to stay Not too far from the Myrtle Beach strip/boardwalk; but far enough to avoid major traffic and backlog The hotel was very clean and comfortable

The pool area is well kept, and the private beach is wonderful as well, with minimal crowding and plenty of space We stayed July 4th week and there was definitely some trouble getting checked in due to how busy they were with minimal carts for luggage, but overall nothing too crazyThe one downfall is the responsiveness of hotel staff at night We had an AC problem on our last night and there was no one available to help Being northerners, we’re not used to the intense humidity, so it was a struggle to overlook the broken AC But staff were very apologetic when hearing about it upon check outOverall, great experience and would stay again

The Good: our unit was maintained and decorated with beach decor It was stocked with everything you would need away from home The view was excellent! Nice pool deck that offers shade and sun with a beautiful walkout to the beach that features composite decking

The Bad: indoor pool was closed, lazy River had tiles missing, the lobby’s on the parking decks were not air conditioned, so we soaked in sweat while we waited for the elevator These are all individually owned units, so no front desk or staff to assist with any issues- everything goes through the realty agent or private party you book with- issue if you lose something and want to see if it was turned in or had questions The staff you encounter is from the agents the owner hires such as cleaning and maintenance and they are less than friendly While our unit was beautiful, we had relatives that also booked and their room was grungy and gross and smelled like urine throughout I would not book here again for the “bad” I stated above If I could take the unit and place on somewhere else that offers better/more kept amenities I would in a heartbeat

Bahama Sands “Luxury” resort We came a few years back and it was great This time July 2022 it was terrible

Waited until almost 6pm on Sat to check in thinking it was being cleaned and it was still very dirty That place never gets a good clean, just quick sweep and toilets maybe but thats it Floors are so dirty we all have black feet! Fridge was not clean, had to do all our own cleaning Mold in air vents, mold in master bath and jets, broken lamps and lots of burnt out bulbs, one toilet doesn’t flush At least the washer and dryer works and coffee maker is good We were excited about roof top pool but that is now empty and in disrepair, looks like a run down place We stayed in Penthouse 8, I would search elsewhere The price we paid for that room is ridiculous!

HairArtistCrystalz

The condo was filthy and needs attention Furniture was dirty and worn, beds are old and uncomfortable The kitchen was disgusting

The indoor pool and beach access was closed and the lazy river was not working I would of appreciated a heads up prior to our stay The condo had a terrible odor and the luggage cart was an actual shopping cart I expected at least a 3 star facility, the condition was far from that rating Don’t waste your money

We had a 1 bedroom and the kitchen was so small you only had 2 feet of counter space and all the silverware and utensils were stored under the sink The staff was very friendly especially the security lady As owners for over 25 years we’ve seen and experienced a lot

She was friendly but firm when she had to with a great understanding of how to enforce the rules and understand the owners needs I tip my hat to her She was always present to encourage following the rules which I really appreciated

Sabrina Sutton

Clean hotel and right next to the beach We were within 10 miles of everything we wanted and needed during our stay We had an ocean view room that we loved

My family has stayed here twice before and we really enjoyed it Last year I had my 2 small children and elderly mother with me and it was perfect for everyone She loved being able to watch us at the pool from the balcony and the kids loved all of the pool options

Melanie, Kim, and Kathy made my stay here so worth it! The whole staff made me feel so safe and everyone that works here is amazing! Excellent service and gorgeous views on the beach I highly recommend staying here, not only for the beauty, but the friendliness from the staff! Absolutely nicest staff I have ever met in my entire life! Highly recommend staying here with friends and family 🙂

Concierge talking a million miles an hour to get you to watch a sales pitch presentation is off putting when I just wanted to ask a questionOtherwise a nice stay Friendly staff

Good value for money if you use the facilities (gym/pool/lazy river/hot tub/cocktail lounge) which we did Decent breakfast buffet, not the best I’ve ever had but not bad, and a good selection of fresh fruit which was great The beach is easily accessible, clean and beautiful

We checked out early Our first room smelled horrible and there was a piece of gauze on the floor when we walked in The front desk helped us change rooms

Our second room smelled fine and could have been really nice but it just wasn’t well taken care of The bathroom grout was dirty in over 80% of the bathroom, shower, and entryway There was dry rot or decay along the baseboards In the shower, the sealant along the glass door either had excessive dirt build up or mold The sink handles had weird stains It could have been wonderful but it’s just not well cleaned or cared for

Tina Phillips

My family really enjoyed our vacation at this hotel We had to reserve this place on the spare moment Andre Grate and all staff we had encountered were pleasant! The breakfast was delicious and the lady who had made preparations for breakfast was such an amazing woman

We had used the laundry facility and it was clean and affordable Thank you Hampton!

Really happy with this hotel We came here after running away from another hotel that was dirty and had a roach (and management) problem Compared to it, Tilghman is absolutely fantastic

The rooms are spacious and clean, the kitchen is well equipped (though, the quality of, say, kitchen knives, was pretty poor), the hallways are clean and the elevators run smoothly and efficiently The hotel staff is also very nice and helpful I noticed two issues One is that the door lock systems seem quite old, and our key cards would work one or two times, and then would stop working We had to get them replaced multiple times and also had our locks reprogrammed twice I’ve heard from other guests that they had similar problems When we were checking out, the lady at the front desk said that the locks are due to be replaced in a few months Hopefully that helps The other issue is not really the hotel’s fault, but some of the guests ruined our pool experience by giving goldfish to their toddlers by placing the actual crackers (not in the bag) on the jacuzzi/pool rim, having their toddlers eat off of the ground, and then just splashing the crackers with jacuzzi water The same guests also drank alcohol from cans inside the jacuzzi, then filled those same cans with water from the jacuzzi and splashed the water on themselves from the cans Again, this isn’t really the hotel’s fault, and most guests were pleasant, but at times we really wished for some guest quality control We’ll definitely be back at Tilghman

Kerry Williams

This is a very nice place to stay, the rooms are clean and the staff is always working hard to make sure it stays clean Unfortunately this will be our last time coming here Someone tried to break into our vehicle while staying on the property

They cracked our glass on our SUV We reported it and they acted like they didn’t care at all They gave us the managers number which we thought would be helpful No help at all The conversation he had with my husband was just crazy Be careful at this property they don’t even have cameras up, so we couldn’t even see who was trying to break into our vehicle We have stayed a number of times but we will be going to our regular spot North Beach Plantation from now on Also one night a group of people on the ocean front side was throwing beer bottles out of the window One of the staff members told us that It’s just a window but the fact that they didn’t seem bothered or care was a no go for us They laughed at us We spent a lot of money to stay here for a week, and had to come back and fix a car window glass We cut the trip short because we didn’t know if we would be targeted that night after we went to sleep

Jennifer Gray

This is our 2nd year in a row visiting this resort We have a family of 6 The condo is beautiful

You also have access to the beach directly from the pool area The pool area also has a bar that serves food, beer, cocktails The condos have a kitchen, covered parking in a safe garage, and patiosThe beach here is so perfect! Soft sand, warm water, and big fun waves! This is in North Myrtle Beach which is much quieter and cleaner than regular Myrtle beach The hotel is within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and shops including some that you can walk to along the beach

The rooms definitely need to be updated The walls were dirty and the carpet was terrible They should add a smart TV, upgrade the appliances and put a fresh coat of paint on the walls

It would go a long way The resort itself is very nice Great location! They have golf carts that will give you a ride toward the ocean I like the gated security at the front entrance It makes you feel safe on the grounds I might give this resort another chance

I just got done my stay (204) it was horrible The keys never work to the doors The pool has no towels and you have to use the ones out the room

Then you can’t get more towels until you return the old ones The sink was stopped up no blankets on the bed The air don’t go last then 80 The best part was the pool that’s it I will never stay here and I had children

We love this resort and have stayed here the last three years We usually stay at a family friends condo but this year we rented directly from the resort and I can confidently say we won’t book directly through the resort again, not because of the staff (everyone was very friendly and nice) but because of how outdated the property is and for the lack of anything the resort providesWe rented a one bedroom condo in Lodge West 1 (2121) and although it was spacious everything thing besides the flooring needs updated and replaced

This unit smells terribly of old cigarette smoke They also provide you with nothing – not even liquid hand soap for the bathroom or dish soap for the kitchen, or even trash bagsThe kitchen itself was so outdated and we only had one pot and pan a few plates so cooking anything in the condo was challenging The dishwasher also smelled terrible and didn’t work at allThe cleaning done was sub par at best, if we had not stayed here before and knew the resort and property my husband and I would have leftThe shower was unstable and made creaking noises when you moved so we felt uncomfortable in the showerThe beach, pools, beach club and the grounds well taken care of but the rest of the property is lacking in care on the inside It’s a shame because this is a great location but we love this property for its scenery and tranquility, but our room was so uncomfortable we spent as much time as possible outside of it

Two bedroom two bath oceanfront unit is just lovely Well equipped with everything I need Comfortable beds

Resort has many amenities that make it very enjoyable Pool landscaping is very nice Many of the common areas are rather run down, but there is a lot of renovation going on so I believe they are addressing this I prefer North Myrtle and this location is ideal, very convenient Will definitely stay again

I found this resort, if you want to call it that in a bind I have originally booked somewhere else and we left that place extremely fast The lobby area is nice when you check it

We got to our room and notice mold and rust on the ceiling When we walked in we were extremely hot even though it was 11 at night As the days went on that we stayed we notice that our room kept feeling damp When we sat down on the couch it was extremely damp The price that we paid I expected something much more maintained and no mold or rust I have included pictures of the mold and rust Maybe the health department will want to investigate this

The resort was clean and the restaurant was nice as was breakfast Pools where clean and kept up with The only downside was we stayed on the 15 floor and the couch seemed old and worn

We took our 81 year old mother here for her birthday(she loves the beach) she fell on the steps the 1st night their is two steps down to living room and floor gets slick , a hand rail would be nice to have on those steps She had a hard time the rest of our stay but enjoyed looking at the ocean the views where great from the balcony

Very nice room, great space, very good view of the golf course They were not too pushy on the condo presentation, but they will try of course Very nice people at check-in

The only issue to mention is that if you are sensitive to noise you likely will hear the walking of anyone above if you are not on the top floor This surprised us and was a bit annoying after a while Not the fault of those above us either The floors just transmit a lot of noise The walls are slightly better but not great either

onna Terry5/5a minute ago on GoogleI am very pleased with my stay and this place surpassed my expectations Its very clean I will be back There is no place like home but this place will feel like a home away from home

The view was horrible We didn’t want to look at a golf course!! The guy under us was super irritating and kept complaining about noise even though it was quiet time and everyone knew we were traveling with 4 kids The visitors at the pool were rude and very unwelcoming

I dont recommend anyone with small children staying here!! The rooms were nice though
