The hotel physically, I’m giving a 3 star rating However the staff, I will give a 5 star rating Here is why…

Terry the front desk associate is super friendly from the start I had problems checking in and was quickly resolved Had problems mid stay and was quickly fixed Ramon the bartender is also super friendly and accommodating when I place my food orders They made my stay a lot better and not think about the physical facility issues I had Quality staff right there! Thanks

Cyndi Parsons

Attended a convention there in March 2022 They were short handed all week but the service was amazing The staff ended up like family and we had a great time clowning around with them

The food was amazing and the rooms were fresh and comfy We loved the convention space and the lobby has lots of room to gather I hope we can visit here again

This is by far the BEST Hilton property we have visited I worked in front office hospitality for 3 years and we lodge in hotels for my husbands work often so I am usually very picky…honestly I haven’t found a single thing to critique about this property!Niki and Leo from breakfast are so delightful My two year old daughter especially loves the extra attention “Miss Niki” shows her in delivering her breakfast with love

Niki also is so friendly to every guest that comes down I never see anyone leave with a frown She has a super power of de-escalating grumpy guestsIsrael’s breakfast is on point, he makes everything fresh and as you order so everything turns out perfect every timeEveryone from the front office has also been so helpful with anything we need help with Greg has been super helpful to create an efficient check-in and helps us with securing a parking spot to charge our carCleaning staff has been on top of everything, they keep all common areas so clean and fresh I was super impressed to see that when they mop the floors, they have a second person come by to dry so no slippery floor!Great job to the hiring management for staffing this hotel Seriously, this property should be used as an example to other properties that are opening

Hotel was pretty good Room was standard, felt a bit aged and non-updated It was quite annoying that the restaurant wasn’t open since it stated that the hotel had an on-site restaurant when I booked it, with no mention of it being closed, and no other option close enough to walk to

The breakfast was good, except I felt like I over paid by booking a room with breakfast included as I only ate from the cold buffet, which was ~$6 a day If you’re more of a hot food (ie omelettes, pancakes, waffles, etc) breakfast person, it’s probably a good deal, as that was $14 a day if I remember correctlyOverall it was a good stay

Very pleased with my stay here March 14-15th Hotel lobby and rooms were clean and inviting Rooms have great wifi and ethernet hookups, which was convenient for both personal and business use

Staff here is excellent! They were very accommodating in the lobby area while we had a small gathering during our stay Can’t speak highly enough of the service received from the dinner/bar staff during both breakfast and dinner hours Front desk staff was also friendly and informative regarding any questions that I had during my stay I was slightly disappointed to see the pool and hot tub closed during this time for cleaning, but glad to see it was being done, and felt no inconvenience as staff had already made arrangements for guests to use these facilities at a separate hotel adjacent to the parking lot 5/5 will definitely be staying here again next time I am in the area

Nastiest hotel we’ve stayed at in a while Had to switch rooms and still was gross Hotel is in disrepair

Lobby is nice to lure you in Pool has an expired health inspection certificate by over a year and the women at the lobby did not seem to carewalk past the lobby and the smell of rotting flesh permeates They told me it was the garbage can but the smell is still here 5 days later They had a puddle of pee left in the elevator until we complained and they wiped it up but did not use a cleaner so it still smelt like pee Husband had to do repairs in the room doors for us to feel comfortable No organization to the room Mirror in the dark hallway with no light, no counter space in bathroom, awkward showers with no space to put your shampoo ect I have absolutely no idea how people are giving this place 5 stars! Such a shame This hotel has good bones but needs a total remodel

My husband and I came into town for his 40-year High School reunion It was a great experience! After a long drive and exhaustion, I called the hotel to see if we would be able to check in early Maria was the sweetest and told us we could

That set the tone for the perfect stayThe rest of the staff was very friendly Beautiful hotel and cleanTo it off everything was within walking distanceWe had a wonderful stay and will be back

Vinh Le

Despite the other reviews, I went anyway and to find that people there are really nice especially Maria Just a hello and we had a great conversation about life, great customer service The hotel may need some upgrades but don’t we all; I think we should stop judging and just focus on the positive sides of thing and just enjoy it

Cause if you are able to be at a Doubletree Hilton during this pandemic time, pat yourself on the back and just go enjoy! ❤️ For me the highlight was meeting another like minded person and connecting while enjoying the Pool that indoor outdoor pool as you can see in my pictures is def amazing Go live it up and Thank you Hilton for a relaxed time much needed

Eric Bell

Service was pretty good but the nightly fee they charge for what amounts to tips for housekeeping was kind of cheap If the housekeeping is good I’ll tip accordingly, but don’t fail to disclose this when I book it then I find out when I get there that it’s mandatory Overall pretty good hotel, nice and clean, but I didn’t get a chance to visit the attached restaurant and the shuttle service isn’t very reliable as I had to hail a few ubers

The pandemic cutbacks have really made this place inferior to what the Marriott standard used to be We certainly can get by without daily maid service, however there was one tiny bar of soap for two nights for two people We had to move it back-and-forth between the shower and the bathroom

There’s in room coffee to make in the morning, but only enough for one out of two morningsBoth TVs were unplugged, and it took us a few minutes to figure out that we had to plug them in to get them to workThere was a clock radio, but the buttons to reset the time to the correct time only worked for minutes, but not for the hours I guess everyone travels with a cell phone, so the clock in the hotel is now superfluousThe computers were down when we checked in, and they had to take a photo copy of my drivers license and credit card Of course, they said they would shred it once it was entered, but in this day and age, businesses are not supposed to leave that information visible to employees at any timeWe called the front desk to ask for an hour delay at checkout time, but we still had someone knocking at our door half an hour before the promised checkout time to clean the roomThere is a morning coffee bar downstairs, but on a Sunday morning when it was busy, I had to ask for the cream containers to be refilled There were no stirring sticks, but I snuck a spoon from the buffet next-doorWe did have a lovely well presented buffet breakfast for a large groupThe room was clean, and almost everything else was in working order, although the shower drained extraordinarily slowly The room was clean, and everything seemed relatively new and freshHopefully as pandemic fueled staffing shortages improve, they will be able to undo some of the cuts that they’ve been forced to make

Michael Pinto

My wife and I had a night away and stayed here, close to our homeNice and clean hotel and roomSince my in-laws booked us the room as a surprise, they booked it through hotels

com instead of Bonvoy direct They were nice enough to honor my Gold Elite status and the amenities that are associated Very nice of themNice hotel, nice staff, and an a around solid property I will definitely stay here again for a local hotel

Mike Lurie

I will give you the good, and the not so good I hesitate to call it bad, because it really wasn’t terrible, but worth notingFirst, the good

Hotel staff were AMAZING! They were so friendly and helpful From the front desk staff to the breakfast staff to the bar staff – they could not be nicer With every interaction I felt like familyThe room was very spacious and very clean Every room is a suite, so there is a separate bedroom that can be closed from the remainder of the roomThe price was amazing, I wold have expected to pay much moreNow for the not so good I was there in early July, and it was hot outside However, the A/C in the hotel was on overdrive It was so cold in the hotel lobby, bar, and eating area you almost needed a coat or sweatshirt In fact I did see several older folks bundled up because it was so darn coldSame with my room When I first opened the door, I was surprised at how cold it was I had to turn off the A/C to get the room up to a manageable temperatureAnd while the room was super clean, you could tell it is in need of updating The bathroom was great, but not very bright And the sink drained very slowly Also, the hot water faucet would leak when the cold water was turned on, making a sizeable puddle on the counter All of these are easily fixed if they were to spend some time making regular updatesI am still providing 4 stars because the good far outweighs the not-so-good Will definitely stay there again, as it is close to highways and friends and family when I travel to Chicago

The hotel is 100% suites and for chicago, its very large suites at that The property is excellent, offering great amenities The service is good, very professional and courteous

Had a problem though, seems like the hotel double charged me and did rectify the situation quickly, had to wait three to five business days Plus no one attempted to compensate me for their actions just apologized And on to the next It tied up over $500 on my card Other than that, the experience was good

Donna Colson

Beautiful hotel, just right on the path of the airport where you hear the planes coming in & taking off all night You won’t get much sleep!Lost one of my ear pods, left on front table or nightstand & when calling their lost & found…good luck, they said they looked around the room, but they never asked or listened when I tried to explain, I wasn’t all over the room with the air pods just specific areas Anyways they responded too quickly when called, so I know they couldn’t have went in the room to look around for them

$70 later, to replace the pod, I will be sure to double check my belongs I don’t usually lose or leave things behind It just would have been nice if they had went to the room in an effort to look and not just respond from their routine cleanup

Gerald Raines

They was so nice I had to leave a review twice Peter and Natasha at the front desk gave wonderful service, quick on time, Professional, clean hotel room

Great suites right next to the airport If you in town for a night, definitely hop in the Marriott Chicago O’Hare suites You won’t regret itAlso thanks for the great Convo Peter

The breakfast buffet was outstanding, but the service is even better! The staff is so friendly! They also have a Starbucks The gym was great We experienced difficulty while purchasing a movie, so we called the front desk

They had someone with OnDemand call our room in a matter of minutes, who walked us through how to fix it It was so helpful! Loved everything about our one night stay!

No microwave so we ate our leftover food from restaurants cold Ac goes to 65 only then kept going back up to 68 The showers were not sealed nicely so the water kept leaking out

Which is very dangerous if you get out of the shower Parking is a little expensive but what do you expect because of the area I guess The hotel staff did not tell me about a security deposit, in which I expected it but they usually tell you Beautiful space and hotel Sketchy hallways and kinda creepy if you’re trying to find your way around the hotel Overall, it was a nice hotel and decent price But some of out needs were not met

Chris Purple

A delightful example of a clean, comfortable, and well-equipped Westin hotel! The Benchmark Restaurant in the hotel has genuinely some of the best dishes I’ve had in a long, long time I highly recommend the Salmon, and the Sliders – even if they aren’t cheap, it’s worth it! The staff were very accommodating and delightful, and the hotel room was in great shape

Michael Leonard

Recently renovatedOverall, location is the top-selling feature Close to the airport with a shuttle that leaves about every 20 minutes

Drive from hotel to Terminal was about 5 minutesFriendly staff at check-inIn-room amenities and design were a little lack-luster for the Westin brand Also had a problem with the TV continuously “Loading” and resetting to the Marriott Bonvoy screenFitness Center was decent with offerings, but the room was pretty hot like nonstop

Great hotel but needs a refresh Must be quite old Elevator doors squeak all night so I recommend rooms away from the elevator bank

Breakfast was great They were tolerant of our many athletes running around at all hours Surprisingly the bar closed early on a Saturday night Parking is expensive! $25/night Great location and the aircraft barely make a sound in the hotel

Brian Chan

Overall: the whole suite looks dark because of decor (wall paint color and curtain)Bedroom: looks clean Bed feels comfortable, can compare with Weston’s heavenly bedWork desk: Comfortable to sit and work

It has outlet hanging on the side of the desk 👍👍Bathroom: looks bright and comfortable 👍👍👍 totally different feeling than living room and bedroom Bathroom tub faucet is new No dripping on the bottom faucet when taking shower👍The ground floor is renovating Limited space and eat

Lauren Butikofer

We stayed here for two nights during an unexpected layover and absolutely loved our experience The shuttle service from O’Hare is a super convenient amenity for travelers, and the staff at the front desk were beyond accommodating My only gripe is that the hotel doesn’t include free WiFi, but that’s out of the team’s control

If you’re looking for a hotel within close proximity to O’Hare, I highly recommend giving Sheraton a try!

Standout staff Accommodating and truly kind Rooms were fine, although both rooms I stayed in had issues with shower temp and water pressure, and multiple common areas like the bar and restaurant were under renovation

They did their best Overall this is an outstanding property under renovation to keep up the standard of service you expect from their brand A great place to stay The attached Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is a game changer

minghao liu

I’ve been to at least 10 Renaissance hotels around the world, and this is easily the worst Renaissance hotel I’ve lived at The service was terrible There was no hairdryer when we checked in, and when I tried to call the front desk, nobody answered, so I had to come to the reception

Also, they weren’t able to provide any slippersThe buildings are quite old, and due to renovation, only half the amenities are open Sound insulation is terrible We were hearing constant door slamming and children screaming, despite us staying in a CORNER ROOM! We got woken up before 7AM on both days we stayed there The shower has very low water pressure, and it takes half an hour to do a “quick” shower There’s also no access control for the elevators, which means non hotel guests can get to any floor they want Fortunately, this neighborhood is relatively safe, so this won’t pose too much of a security riskThe only upside is the price We booked two nights for $135/night, after taxes and fees, which is a good deal for the Chicago area around the memorial weekend However, with the problems mentioned above, this hotel isn’t worth the price

Laura Thompson

CATALYTIC CONVERTER THEFT: We stayed here for a wedding and the room was very nice and clean However, our car, parked in the hotel lot had its catalytic converter stolen overnight Unfortunately, there are no cameras on the parking lots so the police couldn’t do anything

The GM returned my voicemail and did comp our room which was very appreciated (but not much to offset the cost of a new catalytic converter) The theft of catalytic converters is not unique to this hotel, but its proximity to 94 definitely makes it a target I personally feel like putting in cameras is an important step the hotel should take A Marriott should provide some level of security I’m a student and this financial loss is not easily absorbed Just be aware!

Loved it We came to Navy graduation, and this hotel is just close enough, without being stuck in the city Awesome staff, quick check in, great rooms with very good matresses

Everything super clean! We did come during some type of competition for cheerleading, so hotel was super busy at the lobby, but the staff still made time and helped us Super awesome crew!

The staff was great and space was plentifulAnd that’s itCleanliness was an issue The hotel appears worn out and neglected

Wall paper is peeling off the walls Glass doors and window appear like they haven’t been washed on weeks and floors were sticky (including the rug in the room)The space has potential to become an amazing venue Hope someone notices

Very nice hotel for a couples stay during an extended Valentine’s weekend Looks like 1970s business architecture, but the inside is quite nicely decorated, and rooms were very nicely appointed It was not very busy, and the prices were excellent and worth the upgrade to the Executive floor with whirlpool baths

Staff was friendly The interior floorplan layout seemed a bit odd and which door is really the main entrance is confusing given this is also a conference center The entrance needs better signage and marking

Greg Seidel

I have stayed at this hotel twice now

once last year and the other time was this past weekend I had such a good stay here last year that I couldn’t wait to come back Well, things changed Last year I would’ve given the hotel 5 stars This year, 2 starsThe Good:- The hotel is located in a forested area with neaby trails that you can walk- The lower level has a pool, hot tub, sauna, and fitness center- Breakfast buffet had an alright price with good offerings- Most guest rooms have a spacious sink area outside the bathroomThe Bad:- The cleanliness of the building took a major nosedive compared to last year When I checked-in on Friday, there was garbage everywhere Empty cups in waiting areas, litter on the floor, and there was a silver breakfast tray (from the previous visitor) that sat outside my room (601) for the entire weekend You cannot tell me that no one from housekeeping noticed that tray sitting there for 48 hours- Pool area might need a refurbishment soon There was rust on the floor and mold on the walls and ceiling (I know it’s a pool area and it’s going to eventually happen)- There was a police investigation going on down the hall from where I was staying- Noise can be so-soOverall, would I stay here again? Maybe to a probably not

Absolutely disgusting pool with black mold on ceiling tiles and walls Every time we were at the pool there were no towels Staff didn’t have enough towels to bring to the pool to accommodate the guests after we called them for help

Pool chemicals must be pretty harsh; my skin was peeling for several days after the visit Temperature controls in room didn’t work, keeping the room about 5 degrees warmer than set all night Beds were extremely comfortable and room was clean Phone system didn’t work half the time Staff did the best they could under the circumstances and were extremely nice Shower pressure was abysmal but jetted tub was nice

Just had lunch there with my daughter, grandchildren and wife outside in one of the bubbles For those of you who don’t know about the bubble, it’s an outdoor dining climate controlled bubble that fits eight people Six would be more comfortable tho

Each bubble has an electric space heater and electric wood fireplace Temperature inside was great Outdoor temperature was 39 degrees Food service is offered We had crab cakes, burgers, chicken fingers and chocolate fondue All were very tasty and hot The service was attentive and friendly This is a great concept offered during the pandemic Cheers

If I could give it a zero I would I planned a getaway for my husband and I The room is spacious and comfortable but smells like mold or pee

They say on website they have 24hr room serviceNo roomservice at allThe TV has 1 free movie channel just showtime The rest of channels are basic cable with commercials No Streaming available from your phone or laptopThey have pay preview for $1999 a movie They are showing pretty women okay its 2022 not 1990s for $1999I know it sound ridiculous but they say this place is 5 starsI could have gone to Hampton suites or one of those for the price u pay her at $285 a night u think u will be able to get food delivered to room and watch a movie and get comfyThe only other superior thing going on in this hotel is u can bring your dog You are gonna need it

I stayed at Sheraton Chicago Northbrook Hotel, for my birthday (3/4 -3/8), I had a lovely time, even when I locked myself out of my room (more than once) I was given extra rooms keys with a smile The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the GM went out of his way to make me feel welcome Only negative is that I wish there was a refrigerator and microwave in the room

other that that I have highly recommend Sheraton Chicago Northbrook Hotel
