I visit my partner who stays here when he’s on work rotation and the hotel is wonderful Comfy beds and a clean homy common area are all great I dropped a star because the kitchens are very poorly laid out and not really conducive to cooking if your on a long stay and want something besides fast food

But for a few nights is an amazing accommodation and the full size fridge is incredibly convenient!!

Stayed in a 1 king mattress room Room/bed/bathroom was really clean, some dusty area but I rather dusty than dirty No stains on the mattress, fitted sheets and comforters

Best thing is the breakfast and staffs Also, many choices to dine in at You don’t have travel far to grab something to eat Con: mattress was too firm/hard Husband and I tossed around a few times throughout the night We ended up turning up the heat and placing some blankets on top of the mattress for more comfort None the less enjoyed our stay

Clean spacious rooms Reasonable price Free breakfast for guests

Located next to a hospital, close to other medical facilities, Walmart, a variety of restaurants, and other stores found at the typical strip mall Pet friendly for small to medium dogs Guests at the hotel seemed to have ignored the smoke free declaration Pool located on the property

The rate was good, but now I wonder if you get what you pay for…first impression: in the room there’s a sticker the bathroom mirror that states “cleaned and disinfected for your comfort and protection”, yet there was a used bar of soap left in the shower; no disinfectant spray or wipes in the gym Mentioned the soap to the front desk girl this morning because I had to get more soap since there was only one fresh one in our room

She didn’t seem to care much The atrium is nice, but hot as are the hallways But with the heat being like it’s been lately, it’s understandable that with the open concept with the glass and five floors open, maybe the AC can’t keep up?

Kathryn King

Unfortunately when we arrived our rooms were not clean Used soap was in the bathrooms and hair in the sink No towels

We were moved to 2 new rooms Neither had any extra toilet paper and the surfaces were sticky in oneThe lights in the pool were not on We asked if they could turn them on but that never happened We’ve stayed at other double trees and had a much better experience Unfortunately this location was just not good

Benjamin Conway

Bartender she was easy on the eyes and ears Room was well maintained Clean no bugs, no issues with room service or housecleaning

There was no microwave in standard room which I thought was a bummer but in no way lessened the stayIt had a glass elevator which are a nice touch but this hotel isn’t up to date or newly renovated so dont expect it to be the 5 star room that you got in your head

We stayed here 5/7/22 to 5/8/22 and we were just passing through on our way home Hotel was nice and clean, room was nice and clean Our room had a pull out couch along with a king size bedroom and had plenty of room

We did not use the pool but walked through the area and it looked nice and looked very clean The breakfast was simple but was done well They had waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage gravy, cereal, yogurt, bagels, muffins For drinks they had juice milk and coffee Also, it is close to many grocery stores and restaurants that are within walking distance I would recommend and we would stay here again with no hesitation I also would recommend downloading the Hilton app as it allows you to check in, use your phone for a key and also check out Very quick and painless transaction

Little Ninja Parenting

We stayed here while having renovations done at our Oak Ridge house The staff were friendly and helpful The morning breakfast was more than sufficient- lots of easy takeaway options and good coffee (coffee and hot choc are available all day)

We enjoyed the fresh baked cookies too There’s a nice indoor pool for those interested Very easy parking and lots of close fast food and sit down restaurants-walkable even Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Big Lots, and Dollar Tree are less than a mile and Kroger and Food City are a mile away too The room had a mini fridge; coffee maker; and microwave Because of Covid issues they don’t do daily housekeeping but will clean upon request, so it’s really not a problem Would definitely recommend friends and family to stay here; and we would again if ever needed

Brian

The staff was very nice The hotel is new and clean For being on the main road, it’s surprisingly quiet

The gym isn’t big, but it’ll get the job done Breakfast was not impressive; that’s a drawback Also, their curtains suck in the rooms and leave gaps Being on the east side of the building means you’ll get sunlight in the room as soon as it comes up

I had an excellent stay; I was here for 2 weeks for business and really enjoyed my time here My room was very clean and spacious, I had a king size bed that was comfortable Check-in was a breeze

Gibby’s restaurant and bar was nice, the food was good Amenities and stores are located not too far away, plenty of restaurants within a 10-minute drive and walking distance as well Highly recommended

Kim High

Everyone was so nice! My daughter and I visited a Knoxville for her to attend a volleyball camp at UT I wanted a hotel with a nice gym and a nice outdoor pool I found the best place! For just a little higher rate, breakfast was included and definitely worth it

I also asked for a later checkout (because my daughter didn’t get out of camp until 2:45) and they extended my checkout time to 1:00 I have no complaints I don’t think I could’ve found anything better for what I wanted (affordable, comfortable, friendly, gym, and pool) We will stay here again when visiting Knoxville (my daughter will probably attend UT, so that could be quite often)

Elyse Moore

I definitely did not enjoy my stay The pool was very nice but not as deep as it says Normally, I could never stand in 5 feet deep water because of my height

I’m definitely not complaining about that though Our room was very cramped and not great quality Our couch had a rip in it and the bathroom stunk My biggest problem was the breakfast I have never gone to a Holiday Inn that doesn’t have free breakfast We came with many people and to get access to the buffet is $12 dollars a plate Once again, I have never in my life been to a Holiday inn without free breakfast We have multiple people staying together and have driven a long way All the gas prices and stops have added up and all the other hotel stays It’s really not acceptable to add $48 more I think that is extremely stupid, spending lots of money on a small hotel room and not getting free breakfast There is also a huge space right by the pool and I definitely think that maybe some more rooms could fit in there Just to clarify these are all my opinions and I don’t know if this hotel if planning on fixing these things It would be nice to know beforehand though

We have stayed at this hotel several times when in Knoxville/UTStaff and service is always excellent, from phone contact to feeling welcomed you will find none betterBreakfast offers buffet and to order, always delicious

Highly recommendedOn note apart from the hotel, suggest not using Hilton’s reservations phone line The service has obviously been outsourced and not what use to be I ordered breakfast for my family included in our stay, was assured three times by the representative our breakfast was included It was not and the price was misrepresented as wellThe hotel, staff and management is super and a great placeHappy Trails

My family and I stayed at this hotel for fours days and enjoyed our stay The pictures look just like the room The room was clean and the staff was friendly

Check in and out was easy I enjoyed the bar and lounge area The beds were comfortable The location is great but near the interstate so if you are a light sleeper the noise will probably get to you It wasn’t a problem for me nor my family though I would stay at this hotel again and I recommend it

Stephanie Jones

The hotel wasn’t what we expected When we arrived the lot was full of police Check in was a hassle

We booked online with a credit card we didn’t travel with and had to change the card when we arrived (frustrating) We have stayed at many Marriott locations and have never had an issue with not having the card with us The room looked pretty modern and cool but definitely already needs some light updates; for example, the bathroom floors and shower floor is stained and looks filthy (although it was clean) The mirrors were all smudged from whatever quick cleaning job or product was used Many dead bugs visible in the light fixtures Tonya, the manager was very friendly and offered us a 1000 card to use for snacks due to the card issue; we declined – wasn’t her fault Overall, wouldn’t stay here again Staff was excellent; hotel wasn’t There was a foul smell on the second floor

Bri Trieste

I have mixed feelings about how my stay went although I will not be staying here again Let me start by explaining why I will not stay here again This hotel for me personally is not modern

It is just not my style perhaps The shower was terrible, worse shower I have ever had The shower looked dirty just from buildup where housekeeping doesn’t properly clean, the water pressure was almost non existent, and so was the amount of water coming from the shower head, also unable to turn the hot water up over a certain point so to me the shower was warm at best You could clearly tell that housekeeping does not do a good job and do not care you could clearly tell they just came in to change out what needed to be changed and didn’t bother wiping anything down as there was dust everywhere There were smudges on the mirrors and the shower door The sink had not been cleaned as there was dirt on the faucet There were marks all over the door and the walls, the carpet did not look like it had been vacuumed Also the front desk and lobby area appear nice and clean but were not at a closer look, dust was all over the desk almost as they do not wipe it down frequently I will say that the female bartender (So sorry forgot her name) was very attentive and friendly, as for the rest of the staff as in front desk staff they were very unprofessional and had an underlining passive aggressive demeanor about them I needed to print something while staying here and was not able to due to the hotel not having printer paper in the guest printer, upon going to desk to ask for it the woman at the desk informed me that the hotel was out of printer paper all together and that not even they had it in their printers I have worked at IHG and Hilton properties before as front desk and I can without a doubt tell and say that this hotel staff is not professional in any shape or form and need not only staff members that care but also staff members that communicate with one another I can not begin to even go over all the errors I encountered and witnessed while staying hereHighlights: The coffee was great, the female bar tender was great (she was only bartender there during my stay, so not sure if there were any others but did not interact with them) and the bed was comfortable

Really nice hotel Pets welcomed Could tell it was a remodeled older hotel but have very nice upgrades to the rooms

The fridge and dishwasher were a bit outdated compared to the rest of the updates but still worked perfectly so not a problem Rooms were clean smelled fresh and comfortable Fully stocked kitchenette Of course can’t forget the signature reclining chair (that is why I pick this chain of hotels 🙂) My husband is disabled and can only sleep in a recliner THANK YOU FOR HAVING RECLINERS!Staff was very friendly and lobby was clean and neat Nicely stocked pantry/food and plenty of laundry machines for extended stays Lots of restaurants to choose from at close proximity to the hotel Will definitely keep this one on our favorites list!

If you come to the Knoxville area, especially for an extended stay, you should come to here My room was spotless, smelled good and was reasonably priced The people who work here the greatest personalities! They are efficient, more than kind and make being away from home a little easier

Laundry facilities are free (BONUS!!), there’s a workout room and a pantry with food, drinks and necessities for a great price Housekeeping is on top of things Always glad to help and bend to my schedule Love, love, love this place Thanks y’all, for making my stay awesome!

Lexie Shaunak

We stayed here on our way to and from visiting relatives in Virgina, as Knoxville was a good halfway point for us to stop We were pleasantly suprised with this little hotel! Pet friendly was essential as our dog was traveling with us, and they had one of the best pet fees I was able to find But the thing that I most appreciated that caused me to write this review was the STAFF – every single person we interacted with was very welcoming, pleasant, and helpful – from me asking questions over the phone before booking, to calling ahead to let them know we would be arriving late in the evening due to traveling, to both check in and check out processes, each person was warm, friendly, seemed genuinely happy to welcome us, and was informative

We even bumped into someone from housekeeping who was also very warm and friendly Especially with us traveling during the days leading up to and after Thanksgiving, which I know can be a busy stressful time for everyone, I really appreciated that The location is great – under 10 mins to things like starbucks, target, and lots of shopping and dining options Our room was clean, quiet, and we felt very comfortable and safe throughout our stay It is an older hotel, but you can tell it is well cared for and kept up, and it served exactly for what we needed as a place to rest on our travels We also appreciated the later checkout time, which meant we didn’t have to be rushed to leave in the morning We will definitely keep this place in mind if we find ourselves traveling through Knoxville area with our pet again!

Randy

This place was clean and looked good inside and out, but there are issues All the television stations would play for 5 minutes and then lose signal for two minutes during our entire visit The toilet paper holders in the bathroom feel off the wall every time we went in there

The window shade is designed to stay open about 16 inches at the bottom so the surrounding city lights shine in your room all night I cannot recommend this place

Binté Amer

The rooms “look clean” but when you settle in and turn all the lights on, you’ll see hair everywhere My husband and I were there for just 15 mins or so and socks were covered in hair (I’ve attached pictures) The chair had a bundle of hair attached to it

The floors were super dusty and dirty The washroom also had soap stains on it We had to change rooms three times to which the third room, the front desk lady cleaned up properly herself Behind the beds and tables were piles of dirt as if they hadn’t been cleaned for weeks That’s just the cleanliness/hygiene part The customer service of the staff is half half One Indian guy at the front desk was super friendly with everyone, whereas the white lady working beside him was very rude I had other guests in the elevators with me also complaining how they were so rude to them also Lastly, we had room service people knocking really hard around 11am Like checkout is 12, and we hadn’t checked out yet Come back later when the rooms HAVE been checked out Their breakfast was good They had pancakes, cereals, juice machine, bagels, eggs and ham, jams and maple syrup and complimentary free 24/7 coffee/tea As a gold/diamond member, we also didn’t even receive any complimentary bags which apparently they are supposed to provide

Teighlor Kunze

We checked into our room June 17th 2022 We had just traveled from north Carolina The room we got into was so dirty

There was hair all over the floor, a finger nail and water The bathroom didn’t have a shower curtain and cracks in the wall There was also no soap 🤮 The only good thing about the experience was how fast the staff was to refund us so we could stay at a different hotel The lobby area was very nice But the hall way was also full of trash I’m so glad they refunded us I couldn’t imagine having my kids stay in that room

The building was very nice and clean located right in front of walmart and many other shopping locations and restaurants The room and bathrooms were very clean and the bed was super comfortable Breakfast was provided daily with many varieties to choose from The website states that microwaves are in the rooms, but they aren’t You have to use the one down stairs unless you notify them that you need one Overall I had a great stay and will be returning next time I’m in the area

To be totally honest, one of the things I remember about my family’s stay here last fall is the area felt a little sketchy There was A LOT of foot traffic through the area with people walking down this street to a nearby liquor storeSome people were hanging around in the lobby also, possibly acquitted with the front desk staff, who themselves were a bit disheveled

But maybe I’m just being judgmental, because we never had a problem with anyone Didn’t actually observe any problemsFront desk staff was polite and helpful There were some restaurants in the area open late Easy to find I really have no reason to complain

Megan C.

Extremely Professional Staff; Reasonable Rates; Clean Rooms; Guest LaundryHuge fans of the SpongeBob SquarePants like artwork in the roomsRecently, we’ve had to travel back and forth to TN for a family member whose health was declining Unfortunately, during this trip, they did pass away, and we had to extend our stay

We elected to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Oak Ridge, TN, as it was convenient, with solid reviews, and reasonably pricedOn our last stay there in June, we were unsure exactly how many days we needed and let the staff know things were up in the air The staff were very understanding and accommodating Given the unfortunate nature of our stay, we had to tack on additional days to the original reservation (at a moment’s notice), and they went out of their way to ensure we stayed in the same room and were not displaced or inconveniencedWhy not stay at an Airbnb, you might ask? Some can cost more than most hotels In addition, they don’t have the same legal protections as you would have in a hotel And, given the ever-increasing administrative and “cleaning” fees being charged with bait-and-switch pricing (advertising the super low rate before all of the taxes and fees) while expecting guests to clean (and I mean clean, not tidy up) is ridiculous I understand not wanting guests to trash the place But I’ve seen hosts have the gall to leave lists asking people to wash the toilets, wash their dishes (not just put them in the dishwasher), take out all the trash, strip all the beds (whether they use them or not), mop, and do laundry So, why am I paying a cleaning fee regardless of how many days I’m there? We are tidy people When I leave a hotel, I gather up all of the used towels and either gather up all the trash and pile it near the door or toss it all together I prefer to reasonably tidy up after myself and leave housekeeping a large tip than pay an Airbnb host $90+ for a cleaning fee under the threat of a poor review against me if I don’t clean tooAnyway, rant aside, this HIE location was great The rooms were clean Free WIFI Okay (included) breakfast options The rooms, all the ones we’ve stayed in, have a small fridge and microwave The beds were comfortable (with both soft and firm pillow options) Space was easy to acclimatize We don’t have housekeeping come in until we checkout, I don’t see the point, so we often toss the bulk of our trash as we accumulate it Trash disposal is conveniently near the guest laundry (with room key access) near the elevatorsWe stayed longer than expected, as I mentioned, and were able to do a few loads of laundry steps away from our assigned room The machines take quarters, which the clerk downstairs has an abundance of for this reason Also, one of our crew forgot their toothbrush, and the hotel was happy to give us a couple for freeThey have an open lot for free guest parking We never had an issue getting in and out (wide loading and unloading area) or finding a spotThey have quiet hours posted asking guests to be considerate of others, so for the most part it was reasonably quiet throughout the evening hoursOverall, all of our experiences (so far) with this particular location have been excellent As such, this hotel is not what I consider a 2-star establishment, and I would stay there in place of an Airbnb any time

Have stayed at Staybridge before and really enjoyed it This location was well maintained and the staff very helpful There were 3 of us and our room had 2 queen beds and a huge couch and there was ample room for us to spread out

We just stayed overnight so we weren’t able to utilize the kitchen They have a hot breakfast with waffles, breakfast potatoes, eggs and sausage Not bad quality either No pool here The only knock at this location was the proximity to the Interstate It didn’t seem they noise proofed the building enough We still enjoyed it and would recommend it So close to several restaurants

This is a really nice hotel The staff are very friendly and attentive The 4 stars for the rooms is because like most hotels they miss little spots here and there (no biggie)

4 stars on service because when I checked in the TV and cable box had been unplugged and disconnected ( I’m guessing from the previous guest) which I had to move the dresser and reconnect all, the ice bucket for the freezer was missing and there were no scrubber for the pots that the previous guest left dirty (the housekeeper did put them all in the dishwasher though) These are just things that should be checked (Again no biggie) overall this a great place to stay mostly for the locationOh just one more thing the bed in my room was just hard and uncomfortable but I have stayed here in other rooms and was comfortable

This was our second time visiting Whitestone We stayed in the hawk’s nest room and the view from the balcony can’t be beat! The location is perfect and it’s a beautiful place to come and relax We had fun using the kayaks and paddle boards, too! Breakfast is amazing (and Lisa is so kind!) and the chef for dinner was very willing to make accommodations for my gluten allergy

My only regret is there weren’t some healthier options for the snacks that are available in the farmhouse during the day (maybe some gluten/dairy free options or fruit?) Our room was nice, but the property could benefit from some general improvements like painting of railings, trail maintenance and cleaning the sidewalks from all the goose droppingsWe so appreciate the ministry Whitestone has to those of us in ministry who need some time to get away and recharge What a blessing!

Stay – Sunday night, 12 June 2022I put my stay date, but I cannot remember the hostess taking care of the bistro area and hope someone sees this and shares her nameMy quick review is I had just driven over 13 hours from central Texas after a long Saturday attending my daughter’s wedding I arrived at this Courtyard at about 9:45 pm and without a reservation

The desk check-in person found me a room, was super pleasant and I was super tired and hungry She said the bistro doesn’t close until 10 pm, but I felt I would be imposing to try to get a room and order somethingShe assured me there was no problem, and then the lady that runs the bistro came out from the back, smiling, pleasant, and just said to take my time and “they got me” I can’t tell you how bad I felt to be “that” coming through at the last minuteI grabbed my bag, parked, and went to the counter to place my order This remarkable young lady was just so kind, reassuring me there was no problem, and proceeded to make me the best bistro burger, fries, and a salad I enjoyed a glass of wine and took a traveler to my room to enjoy my burger and fall asleep She was engaging and didn’t rush; I felt literally at home because of her positive demeanor I regret not writing her name down but suffice to say my stay was amazing because of her and the desk clerkThank you! Courtyard needs to hire and retain amazing employees like these tooSix stars for a great night after a long day!!PS Room was clean, comfortable, and had great pressure for a shower

Will never stay here again!!!! Took 45 minutes to find the place because there are no street signs The room smelled, the air conditioner didn’t work The toilet is 12 inches off the floor

No water pressure or HOT water Only warm The outside of the building looks run down Had to rearrange the furniture because the sofa bed landed on top of the bed and if you do use it plan on making it up yourself and going to the desk for pillows

Don’t stay here for more than 1 night if you expect you room to be cleaned everyday I have been staying here off and on since 2006 Came back to my room tonight and bed not made and towels not changed

Call the front desk and was told they only do it if you stay more than 7 days Are you kidding me !!!!I was told this policy was on Letter at the front desk No excuse Isn’t this supposed to be the “hospitality” industry I don’t pay 150 plus a night to get second rate service As Titanium Elite member for Marriott you can kiss my business goodbye if this is Corporate policy
