When we arrived on Sunday, August 7, check in was very busy but the front desk staff handled it extremely well Our room overlooked the lobby area where breakfast is served I was not pleased with this

I was feeling a little claustrophobic not having a window to look out of Also after driving six hours I wanted an outside view The next morning I went down to the front desk and asked for a room change I must say that Jeff and Jacob at the front desk were amazing at finding another room for us, with a water view Every employee that we encountered were very friendly and helpful but Jeff and Jacob really go above and beyond in their jobs Hyatt Place Dewey Beach is a great location, less than a block from the beach, Jolly Trolley stops right at the hotel, spent the evenings at the pier watching the sunset, loved having breakfast included The rooms were very roomy There were 4 of us in a room and there was plenty of space Will definitely stay here again and will recommend to our friends and family

Simone

Though the room was reasonably priced and lovely, the hotel places a hold on your card of the room price PLUS $50 per night (I didn’t know this until arrival but that’s probably my fault for not reading the fine print) Upon exit, they then actually charge you the price of the room… before the bank releases the initial hold So over $400 of my money was tied up unexpectedly for 3 days (happened to be over the holiday which really sucked)

Management said there was nothing they could do I was told it does not happen this way if you use a credit card (I used my debit)… but I was also told the hold would be released within 24 hours and that was untrue Additionally, upon arrival, my room was 99 degrees, maintenance had to come and replace the thermostat This was resolved in a fairly timely matter (considering) Outside of that, the room was nice – we were there for 3 days No microwave but they do have a mini fridge which was helpful Rooms are not maintained throughout your stay so garbage piled up, but we were able to go get additional towels, wash cloths and garbage bags from the front desk

bill d

Everyone was friendly and the AC was nice and cold in the room Being able to take our dog with us was Also great Having free breakfast was a plus as well

The areas that could use some improvement would be the indoor pool and the parking situation You can only use their indoor pool (the outdoor pool are not for hotel users) but it’s only 3 feet deep lol Their parking is underground and if you travel with a cargo box on top of you vehicle you will probably have to take it completely off before going in I believe anything over 75 feet won’t fit There are NO signs before going into the garage so be aware

Pat and Marc at the front desk are fantastic We stayed in April for our anniversary, just my husband and I

and then returned for memorial day with our 5 year old son They are extremely friendly and accommodating, and we’re wonderful with our little guy The housekeeping staff, bartenders, and all other staff are just as great Our room was very clean, and if we needed anything, they were quick to fulfill the request as housekeeping is only provided upon request now Which was fine for us! The pools were clean and our son had a blast We enjoy staying at double tree for all of these reasons, and THE VIEW! Definitely recommend!

We just returned from our stay here and I really want to express my deepest gratitude to the management and staff At the beginning of the summer, my Dad was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer A very kind and generous family friend booked our family a very nice ocean view room so that my family could stay they for a couple days

My sister, who was staying in a condo close by and her entire family was also able to come spend time with us at this location I want to particularly thank Mario Santos and manager, Jacob Robins for their service that was above and beyond reasonable expectations You see, my friend had booked a Tuesday night and Wednesday night for us, but after a recent ER visit with my Dad, I got the dates mixed up and accidentally came in on Wednesday At first, it looked like we were only going to be able to stay one night, primarily because the hotel was completely booked for Thursday night However, Mario had compassion on us and our situation and advocated for us I don’t know how he did it, but Jacob figured out a way to allow us to stay in our same room on Thursday night at no extra charge We will never forget Mario and Jacob’s kindness to us, nor will my sister and I (along with our families) ever forget the wonderful time we were able to spend together with our Dad Pat, another staff person showed particularly good service as well and were very impressed with the hospitality and kindness all of their staffThis time was enhanced by the outstanding amenities at this location Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the salt water pool with an ocean view, the large common area complete with gas fire pit, picnic tables, Adirondack chairs and games to enjoy, and of course instant access to the beach If you want to spend a wonderful time you’ll never forget with your family, I don’t think there is a better location in all of Ocean City

Robin Detweiler

Our stay was excellent mostly because of the amenities that came along with the hotel We stayed Thursday-Sunday The roof top pool and pool bar were fantastic

We also enjoyed the location as we were right on the beach We didn’t have too much noise at night, which was helpful because we had our 7 year old and this is his first time staying away on vacation The one thing that didn’t sit right with me was the comforter on one of our beds had pink/reddish stains all over it We peeled back both comforters and didn’t use them all weekend because we just weren’t sure they were very clean We would have liked extra sheets available in the closet or just clean comforters I had called the front desk once during our stay and asked for fresh towels and for housekeeping to come change our trash We did get fresh towels so we were grateful, though we felt bad about the trash because nobody came to change it once during our stay By the time we were leaving we had some recycling, etc and just felt wrong leaving it a little messy There was also no complimentary breakfast (of course we knew about this prior) but I do believe that would make for a nice meal touch considering Marlin Moon has excellent food and that’s the restaurant in their hotel Otherwise a very nice stay with friendly housekeepers and front desk staff The bartenders at the pool bar were great Overall a really great weekend for us Thank you!

Lisha Nicole Boggs

I was here for my Husband’s Birthday/Memorial Day Weekend and we enjoyed our weekend!! The resort is beautiful, the view of the beach was amazing!! The staff from check-in to check -out was friendly and courteous They made sure our visit went as smoothly as possible I really enjoyed our Atrium suite overlooking the pool

My only comment about the pool would be the hours The pool is open 9am -10am adults only, then until 10 pm adults and kids We don’t have any kids but found that we had to get down to the pool early to enjoy the quiet and relax; but noticed before 10 am kids were jumping in the pool Maybe extend the adults only time a little longer? I did enjoy the jacuzzihowever it is rather small My husband is 6’4 and we were in there with another couple and were comfortable Shortly a third couple joined and we left as it was becoming crowded I took off one star for the room as there was a leak outside the bathroom from the light fixture above Whenever the people upstairs took a shower or used the water it dripped in our room from the ceiling Upon checking out we told the staff member at the front desk and she said she would let the appropriate persons know; however, this may be helpful in the future but didn’t help us any Overall I would come back again, I love the resort, the location and all the great eateries within walking distance !!

Paula Schulte

Princess Royale Oceanfront Resort has so much to offer, especially if you have little kids The indoor pool, private beach access, and large atrium for them to run around was perfect for my 18 month and five year old! Parking is very convenient with their own garage We stayed in a poolside suite that had 2 beds in a separate room, and a living room with a pull out couch and full kitchen

Plenty of room for my daughters pack n play and us all to be comfortable! We will definitely stay here again, everything was so clean and there was always something to keep my kids busy!

Corina McNeil

Our stay was GREAT!!! The staff was very attentive and helpful We rented a condo, it had 2 bedrooms one with a king size bed the other had 2 queen size bed the living room also had a pull out couch 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen

With the location of the hotel you could either go out to eat but on other days maybe you just want to stay in and cook There’s a ACME grocery store within walking distance Having that option can save a lot of money The only downside was their elevator situation During peak times you may have to wait a good 10/15 minutes for a elevator But all in all I loved my stay

Very nice hotel, but really need to work to improve staff I realize they were still in the process of preparing for the season to open, but the staff didn’t seem to really care about the current occupants Room attendant enter the room without knocking or announcing themselves(even with “Do not Disturb” placard on door) while getting dressed

The small beach setting was very nice , but again 10 min with a rake to clear sand at water edge would have made a large difference Very nice hotel , just need to work with improving the staff

Dr. R.K. J.

Overall, this is a nice hotel to visit for a quick family getaway The rooms are nice and the service was great “Splurge” for the waterfront view (it’s worth it)

However, the parking spaces are a bit tight for a large SUV or truck (I deducted one star) Additionally, I believe that the hotel could benefit by having some additional parking spaces, but parking is FREE This is also a dog friendly hotel, so feel free to bring your pet

John Smith

Everything is spotless and the staff is awesome The manager Stacy (I think she is a manager) is so accommodating and personable She is efficient and professional

Every hospitality business should strive to have someone like Stacy The bartender (don’t know his name) is awesome as well Very responsive and makes great drinks I love that they are pet friendly and do a “Yappy Hour” on Wednesdays Despite being pet friendly, the place is clean and spotless Highly recommend this hotel & bar They have a beautiful view of the bay, which is perfect for watching sunsets

Absolutely filthy and unsanitary We’ve been coming here for years and have enjoyed it in the past But with the recent remodeling there has been a decline in attention to cleaning

They’ve installed laminate flooring Sure it looks nice, but their barely sweeping it between guests is not going to cut itWe had to go out and buy cleaning supplies, a broom and mop because our feet and towels literally turned black from being on the floor (and I have the videos to prove it) Floors were sticky, and I swept up leftover food and dirt, enough to make a pileMattresses that were supposed to be replaced weren’t, and the one in the master beefing hasn’t been flipped in months, causing a pit in the centerLint in the dryer was about a 1/4 inch thick I know guests should have the decency to clean that out after each cycle, but even from a safety point of view, that should get cleared outSheets that were supposedly cleaned and on the beds had sand in themA new light fixtures in the second beefing flashes all the bulbs and makes noise as the fan sounds

John Kocka

This is a tired old timeshare that really needs to upgrade inside the units like they have the outside Receptacles are so loose that plugs won’t stay in , light fixtures still using pigtail fluorescent bulbs, shower doors not on track, drawer faces loose to name a few of the issues in this one unit You’ve collected fees for years, now use them!

Very nice hotel! Steps from the beach Rooftop pool came in handy Nice lobby with live music a couple nights and a full bar

Staff was super friendlyThe only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars in my book is that the hotel didn’t seem to be running on all cylinders, even during peak season The bar and grill next to the rooftop pool was only open a couple hours a day, and it was just taking orders for the cooks in the main kitchen downstairs Similarly, there were couches outside the lobby that were covered for most of our stayI am guessing this was mostly the result of short staffing Once they get fully up and running, this place will be truly awesomeBut overall, a great hotel near the beach! Highly recommend!

Maureen R

We recently stayed at the Fenwick Shores Hotel and enjoyed many things about our stay The hotel is in a great location right in Fenwick Island and an easy drive to both Bethany Beach DE and Ocean City MD The hotel was very clean, spacious and comfortable

The common areas in the lobby were wonderful and beautifully decorated for the holidays The staff was friendly, professional and helpful One of our favorite features of the hotel was the heated open air rooftop pool! Even in chilly December, the kids loved going for a quick swim! Such a unique feature! A wonderful place for a getaway to the beach

Sarah Spork

This hotel is a hidden gem in the middle of Fenwick Island The staff was so friendly and helpful and the rooms were incredibly spacious We enjoyed swimming in the rooftop pool, as well as spending some great time at the beach

The hotel is near many residential houses so the beach was not crowded at all We were able to walk across the street and had a fantastic dinner at Just Hooked If you’re looking to be away from the hustle and bustle of the big beach areas, this is the perfect spot The rooms have refrigerators and freezers with ice makers, full sized dishwashers and plates, cups and silverware I will definitely be coming back to Fenwick Shores, and that is a statement that I rarely make about hotels

We stayed on the second floor for 3 days The room was a nice size The staff was pleasant

The complimentary breakfast was nice and hot and many available spaces to eat The bar drinks were also very good I gave it 3 stars because although the drinks were nice the bartender touches the top of the black straws with her hands When I seen that twice, I went with the bigger ones That’s not sanitary The indoor pool area was cold Not the pool the area, so when you walk in it’s cold in there I never got in the pool There were towels left on the floor and chairs About time I went back later that night it was more towels and even on the balcony chairs The biggest issue was the room wasn’t that clean It was a receipt that wasn’t ours in the fridge The utensil drawer had water in it One of the bed spreads had a hole in it The wall near the table looked like it had blood on it As if someone killed a bug on the wall It really grossed me out! This hotel needs an entire new cleaning crew The rooms need to be thoroughly cleaned from top to bottom Also to stay on top of cleanliness in other areas in the hotel

Arielle Poole

An amazing place Probably one of the best hotels in the OC area We came here with 7 people, for a small vacation

The room we got fit us all perfectly, except for the fact that our 7-year-old had to sleep on the floor But of course he didn’t mind 😉 The beds were very comfortable, the pull out could be better, we put two teenagers on it and they were very uncomfortable I think they could be better, but the service and employees are amazing Never had a problem and all are just all around kind and very helpful The breakfast is good, only complaint is the maple syrup, tastes watery and more like honey then syrup The pools are so nice, and the balcony is so amazing to stand on at night and look at the city, since it faces one of the main roads Would totally come back and recommend 💯 Thank you so much for a wonderful stay Marriott!!

We had asked to change our room due to a cleanliness issue and the front desk attendant was very helpful in assigning us a new room The new room was much better – you could smell how much cleaner it was the moment you walked in This new room was even on a higher floor with a better view

There was a problem with the air conditioner unit in the room where it would randomly turn off We called down about this and the attendant said this was an ongoing issue He said he would attempt to reset it It still didn’t work by morning, but it would randomly kick back on then turn off again Thankfully, the weather was cooler and there was a nice breeze we could take advantage of by opening the balcony door The location is great You are within walking distance of Fagers, Denny’s, and a cafe that serves breakfast on the corner Parking was not an issue The bar on site has nice relaxed seating options and windows that face the bay Overall, we would probably give this place another try in the future Although there were a couple issues, the employees did a great job trying to remedy those issues and never made us feel like a burden

The home has a large open and airy feel that connects the inside with the beautiful stone patio pool and backyard Ample and upscale seating provides many opportunities for guests to relax and lounge by themselves or mingle with other guests and the host in common areas Our room was our favorite part of the stay We were blown away by the sumptuous bedding, comfort of the beds and pillows, the luxurious spa shower, robes and toiletries provided We enjoyed the taste adventure of trying new things with Michele’s very generous vegan offerings that offer a wide variety of plant-based foods to try We especially enjoyed our morning French pressed coffee, yogurt and nut butter parfaits, blueberry bake with whipped cream and homemade English muffins and toast with an assortment of vegan butters We would highly recommend The Salisbury House B&B for those who are up for a gourmet vegan adventure in a Tuscan-inspired environment

A hidden gem tucked back on the Bay the likes you will not find any where else in Ocean City From the complimentary cocktail and fresh baked warm cookies at check-in, to the sumptuous over size suites, this boutique hotel is a wonderful experience of old-world charm and service that most hotels have long since forgotten It’s a private property that’s still within walking distance to everything you might need

I can’t wait to go back!

We have been coming to the Lighthouse Club at Fagers Island in Ocean City Maryland for nearly 20 years! We have given gifts to people to stay hereThe first time we stayed—it was magical! It is a charming hotel; its setting on the bay is lovely—but at this time we feel it is quite datedThe furniture is the same as it was 20 years ago! Really, not a lot has changed! The grout in the bathroom needs replacing; the jacuzzi is nice but there are no handle bars in the shower which would be a plus; the rugs are worn and not as clean as I would anticipate; the mattress is old

The Lighthouse Club needs refurbishment and Iam sad to say I will not come here again, will not recommend to my friends, and will be giving any presents to stay here!!

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in We stayed here for New Year’s Eve a year ago I was impressed with the lighthouse structure and how spacious the room was

We enjoyed the jacuzzi and the view The staff even gave us free home-baked cookies and free champagne and swag to celebrate the new year! So pleasantly surprised They went above and beyond If I go to Ocean City again I’d love to stay here again
