Counter staff are competent, confident and courteous This modern facility had everything for everyone Spacious lobby and business center that is clean and well maintained

Pool requires a waiver as there is no lifeguardParking is plentiful and well lit Easy access from the highway and great location GPS maps still haven’t caught up with road placement so be aware on those last 200 yards from the main roadBreakfast is same general fare you’d get anywhere else They keep it stocked and clean

I did not have any problems with service Though they charged a $100 fee for early departure The rooms were good

Though the shower doors were not level, causing them to constantly slide open I had to wedge a towel between them to stop this The hotel is located higher than the majority of other businesses so you can get some nice views

I wish there was a button for less than poor The manager would not work with me at all about canceling my room and crediting me back the 34000 for one nights stay 4+ months in advance

I even asked if they could just tag my name and if someone else wanted a room for the night to please make them happy by giving them a room graduation weekend and then it makes me happy to get a full refund I also asked if I could just get a voucher for another nights stay in the future All was a no and I am not even able to transfer the room to someone else However, he was willing to cancel the room so he could get another guest to stay He wouldn’t work with me at all

Husband checked in after working a 16 hour shift and was given a room that was never cleaned… Beds disheveled and towels all over the bathroom floor Somehow the cleaning staff completely missed this room and they gave it to my husband

They had no one to clean the room and no other rooms to give him and just gave him clean sheets and towels No other hotel rooms were available in the area or he would’ve left Unbelievable

We were just passing through NY on our way home and needed a place that worked for travel time The campground was clean and has a pool The bathrooms were clean but a dated

We arrived on Saturday afternoon and the place was buzzing A craft fair, cornhole tournament, food truck and what looked like a family reunion or Birthday party all going on Saturday evening had live music and it was great! The campground seems to be 80% local seasonal sites No sewer hook ups, but a decent easy to use dump station The sites are pretty tight together, with a handful being “buddy” sites which are great when your with your buddy, but a bit awkward when it’s not In our 2 nights here we had 2 different neighbors that pulled in late in the evening and gone by 8 am they were both friendly so it wasn’t too bad The staff was friendly and helpful This campground is fine for a quick overnight or 2 but wouldn’t be a destination for more than that Also be sure to follow the signs for the KOA not the GPS when coming off the highway The campground is actually pretty close to the exit, but you need to take the long way (4-5 miles) around to get there due to a super sharp/steep turn that even a small trailer wouldn’t make The last KOA we stayed at had a similar roadway hazard and sent out a text message about route to take to the campground on the morning of our check in which was a nice touch and would be something for this campground to consider Again good for a quick stop, but wouldn’t go for an extended stay

We usually camp elsewhere, but everything was booked when we had a last minute change of vacation plansWe have been enjoying our stay here It’s not what we are used to, but hosts and guests alike are friendly and helpful

Our tent site by the creek is beautiful and neighbors are courteous Bathrooms are clean, as well as the pool which is a great perk

AJ

My experience was great! Pitched my tent facing the river about 20 feet away, slept like a baby to the sound of rushing water and woke up to its beautiful sight No other campers while I was there so honestly I can’t think of a single complaint Great spot

Little side note, you can’t hear 1-88 at night, but you do get the occasional sound of traffic on the road you come in on

While the room was clean, and the breakfast was good, I had a difficult night sleeping here First – the beds have this heavy quilted cover in place of a normal blanket This proved too hot for sleeping in, and without it there was just a sheet

So I had to beg the front desk for a blanket, and they dug up a fleece blanket, which was better but still too warm Second – the AC unit doesn’t let you use the “fan only” mode It used to, but they have now installed a wall control unit that doesn’t let you keep the fan on, so most of the night the fan is off and you can hear noises in the hall, next door, and in the parking lot The AC unit didn’t seem to do a great job of cooling the room The controls on the original unit looked like they would’ve done a great job, but they were disabled Why?Disappointing for the price I paid

Antonia-Krishna Kelley

Great customer service, especially the breakfast staff My family loved the baseball themed artwork in the room We were so excited to get to the Hall of Fame my son forgot the jersey he wanted to wear in the room

We called the front desk and they had the jersey ready for us to pick up by the time we returned to the hotel Very friendly staff

Enrique Fernandez

Shower head had mildew heavy , ac system would shut off staff was friendly and desk manager was a gentleman, breakfast wasn’t bad either but for the money charged I’ve stayed in a Hilton in Orlando for way less , truly abuse price don’t offer daily cleaning , almost fainted because of smell of chlorine in indoor pool , mattress needs to be changed springs are hitting your back ,go to sleep cold wake up sweating look at your bill to me they had snuck in a gift shop charge 800 fallouts that’s fine but not right , elevator very slow a lot of sounds , sleeping at night was a challenge you hear everything on the top floor keys falling anything that falls on floor , you hear even people walking and the water flowing in bathroom from up stairs toilet

and the gentleman and lady at breakfast they tried always to please guest but truly with all honesty find somewhere else that matches what you see in pictures

My wife and I spent our last engagement weekend at Brookside inn At Laurens, and it was just perfect We got welcomed with a giant American flag just after the independence day! The house is very pretty and has a lot of charm near a lovely gazebo and a brook The room was very comfortable and spacious, well equipped with a small fridge and you can get Champagne! The dinning room has many snacks and drinks available

We didn’t play board games but they are there Matthew and his wife and their kids are so welcoming They both made us feel very comfortable Matthew made us delicious fresh breakfast and his bacon tasted so good! We recommend very well this lovely bed and breakfast and we hope to come back soon

My extended family all rented this place together for a family function, and it felt like a home away from home Unfortunately it was raining the day we were there, and the hosts didn’t mind at all that 15 people spent the entire day hanging out together in the living room and on the porch The decor is fun and embodies the classic bed & breakfast style of upstate New York

Clean, comfortable rooms in a variety of sizes allowed for everyone to have some space to themselves, which is good for a big family who are sharing bathrooms Sitting on the porch was my favorite part!

We didn’t get much time to visit with Dave but Lori is a very warm and generous host Because of factors outside of our control, we planned for three years to visit this location, while Lori was very accommodating throughoutThe room was very homey, and Lori made special arrangements to make our young sons – who grew three years larger from our original booking – more comfortable

Overall, the house is thoughtfully arranged There are great areas to relax, and Lori provides options to allow for snacking throughout the day – which our sons greatly appreciatedThe house is old, and has lots of character and the bathrooms are shared and somewhat small I don’t recall ever staying in a B&B where this wasn’t the caseIt seems that everything in this part of the state is off the beaten path, but Laurens offers nice proximity to Cooperstown, and everything that we wanted to seeI strongly recommend a stay at Brookside Inn
