Fair Point Marina and RV Park is by far the very best place on Lake Ontario for boating, swimming and enjoying all the summertime activities available in NY State The sunsets are amazing and the “big sky” over the lake is priceless! The staff are very accommodating to all our needs while the facilities are impeccable as is the services that the marina offers The April to Oct

Stayed here for one night Room was large and clean Employee working at the front desk when I checked in/out was very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful

Plenty of parking I did not use the pool as it was winter when I stayedNice view of river Bed and pillows were comfortable, alarm clock worked, and the room had a coffee maker I had a good experience here and would recommend this hotel to others

panna s

I would never go back here Sheets were not changed when we arrived, so they gave us another room Sheet had 3 holes from cigarette

Someone’s hair all over the shower Sink had soap residue on it Walls are very thin, you can hear someone taking a shower and coughingThe hotel itself is very dirty I wonder if those 5 star reviews are even legit

There are many reviews and mainly depends on “what” are things that is important to your stay To me, it has to be clean and comfortable That to me is a 4 stars

I put in 5 stars because one of the front desk lady go out of her way to fill my mug with hot water and few tea bags, honey, and lemon juice This to me is superb service!

Zach Shaffer

This was a very nice hotel overall, I enjoyed my stay here The room was nice, housekeeping and the front desk workers were very nice, the breakfast was in a nice central location in the hotel The only thing about this place was that if you were parking behind the hotel for whatever reason, it was not clear where you needed to go to get to the front desk as it was on the second floor and not the ground floor

So if you plan on staying here that would be the only thing to keep in mind

Justin Haydt

Really disappointed at the quality of this hotel for the price of 250/night We stayed here with a wedding party and as a Marriott platinum member I would never consider another best western again Much better properties elsewhere in Oswego

The rooms here were really outdated They had no plugs for devices anywhere but tucked behind furniture, slow Wi-Fi, no thermostat, and the door lock was ripped off the wall and barely hanging by a screwThe only good part was the river view and pool

We stayed two nights while exploring the Lake Ontario shoreline near Oswego The owner was super helpful and friendly The motel is retro 1950’s in outside appearance (well maintained) but the rooms are very modern, with comfortable beds, helpful microwave and fridge, and 100% functional bathroom

Extremely clean Wish I could have a motel like this everywhere I travel!

To start, the location is beautiful We sat on a deck overlooking a marina with a sunset view The atmosphere was fun for adults, but also good for our elementary school aged kids

The food, even with a busier than usual kitchen, was great But where this place really shined was the superior service We arrived following 3 big parties and were honestly told that it might be a 20 minute wait and that the kitchen was busy (I’m not used to this kind of communication when waiting for a table) When we were seated, our orders were taken quickly, and the kids’ meals were rushed That saved the night for us Everyone was happy watching the sunset

One of my favor spots when in Fairhaven for the summer Was a little let down with a dish I ordered on my first visit back this season It was a vegan dish portobello mushroom stuffed with a vegan cheese on rosetta

I’m not suppose to eat alot of pasta so I ordered this dish thinking a stuffed portobello mushrooms, anywhere else is the star of the meal Not this dish, it was about the size of a 50 cent piece More pasta then anything Will not order that again! Also have had their roasted brussels sprouts and they were actually roasted! Not this time, it was like they were frozen and nuked , Definitely not from fresh I even said something to our waitress, Penny She chuckled and said she say something, I wasn’t the first to say they were mushy I’m just hoping it was a bad night My husband’s meal was perfect He had the haddock fish ruben

Lynn Z Starling

Absolutely spectacular views from the outside café’ The restroom facilities were pristine, the service prompt and friendly and the menu selections unique and varied I had the veggie burger and homemade chips, Yum! My daughter’s food disappeared quickly so I imagine it too was very good

We did not stay there which is the only reason I didn’t give it five stars I can’t really give you an opinion about the rooms but I did see they rent kayaks and bikes, have plenty of outdoor seating, and it looks like the area offers plenty of activities

This hotel is very clean and modern The room was very clean and very spacious The bathroom had a large shower and a divider between the toilet and the sink for privacy

Microwave, Keurig and refrigerator included We enjoyed the pool it was very clean but only went as deep as 4 feet 15 m The Staff was very friendly and kept the common areas very clean and ready for use as they have work stations with computers for business, Conference room, a fitness room and laundry services The breakfast was amazing, they had these delicious potatoe sausage and egg cheese empanadas, bacon , hot and cold cereals, a pancake maker machine , juice and milk , several kinds of individual wrapped pop tarts Over all this is a nice quiet hotel worth staying at if your ever in oswego!

Darienne LaPorte

Called to plan a night for my kids and I so we could take a mini vacation and use the pool seeing how no beaches are open yet Even though I’ve stayed at Holiday Inns before on different trips I was told nobody within 50 miles of the hotel in Oswego could rent a room from that location To my experience to be asked what my stay is for other than small talk or customer service is invasive and irrelevant

When asked for an explanation we were told that the OWNER of Holiday Inn doesn’t allow oswego residents We called corporate and they booked us the room with no problem at a discounted rate and said they have no idea what that person was talking about and that was not a rule anymore at any location My advise is just book online because the people that work there obviously don’t want to work

I’m a local to the area so I can’t speak for the how the rooms but the service was excellent, food was great, was there for a training conference from my work Staff was friendly They are right in walking distance to many other restaurants and bars, a night club and movie theater as well as other local small businesses a candy shop and bakery the on opposite side of the bridge

They do have their own restaurant and bar inside “Steamers”, the only down side for me way interior lighting was slightly dimmer than what I am use too but the views of the river and the lake were spot on

Paul Peters

From check in till checkout front desk staff is friendly and helpful! No issues with checking in! They are accommodating with letting room service know what you’d like as far as towels and or trash pick up! Area outside and inside well kept and clean Rooms are spacious and clean Could be updated, with microwave and ubs ports

But they are comfortable and quiet Had a room on fifth floor across from elevator didn’t notice it at all, from inside my room

This hotel was excellent while I was visiting for a work trip I really appreciated how dog friendly the staff were I felt so lucky to be able to bring my furry companion

The area around the hotel was great for jogging with my dogThe room was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable I really enjoyed the option of live tv and streaming services My one wish would be to have a small coffee pot in the room instead of a single serve machine, but this did not impact me as the lobby has free coffee all day Thank you for an excellent stay!

AMBER Miller

I am a travel RN and I have stayed at this location several times now All of those times the service was exceptional! All the staff are welcoming, polite and accommodating The room rates are excellent for the quality and cleanliness of the rooms and hotel accommodations available to guests

10 out of 10 times I would recommend the Home2 suites in Oswego to anyone!

Xiana Fontno

It’s great, but I’d like to tell the staff and manager: your cookware is not compatible with the induction stove top The pan is not magnetic enough to actually get picked up by the stove I advise those who need a stove to bring a stainless steel cooking implement or cast iron works too

Otherwise, this place is super comfy and the staff is so helpful and nice

We attended a racing event at Oswego Speedway on a Saturday night and stayed one night This is an older property that has been very well maintained and updated over the years We’ve stayed at several other hotels/motels in the area over the past 30 years and this one ranks well among them

This one is especially nice for Oswego Speedway fans that come in from the east sideits just 5 minutes from the track (between Scriba and New Haven)Our room had a comfy, clean queen-size bed, with a mini-fridge and microwave Wi-Fi worked well We didn’t use the wall-mounted flat-screen TV The bathroom had a new sink and toilet in it, with an older tiled shower (no tub) that was clean and well maintained The property was very quiet during the evening (sleeping) hoursDebbee, the motel manager, greeted us on arrival and was friendly and efficient We were a little early for check-in, but that was no problem Prices have understandably gone up since the pandemic and were competitive with other accommodations in the area We would definitely return here

Sammi

I stayed here for the weekend while vising family members It was such a pleasant surprise to find how clean it was and nicely put together! The woman we checked in with was so friendly and quick to help us whenever we needed anything A good value as well

The place is a little older but the space is clean and comfortable and that’s all that matters!I’d recommend staying here if you need a place nearby
