There was no maid service, towel service, or trash That’s cool, I understand if it was because it’s hard to find employees What I don’t like is having to pay full price

I had to book another week, but am staying at a newer different hotel for a better rate and full service The staff was friendly but was hard to find at the front desk It was clean and room was fine Alot of people taking up hotel parking spaces and walking over to Laura’s restaurant making it hard to get a guest parking spot There is no parking lot surveillance Will not be staying here again, too much money for no services

Rachel Senor

I’ve never been so disappointed in a Hampton Inn as I was in this one The toilet in my room was gross The desk surface was sticky and had food remnents

The room smelled disgustingly musty The a/c did not work fully – the room was very humid The hallways were very hot and stuffy and smelled of cigarette smoke and weed The treadmill at the gym was filthy There were no antibacterial wipes in the stand in the fitness center to wipe anything down and no hand sanitizer The water cooler in the fitness center was dirty and empty There was no hand sanitizer in the lobby or breakfast area The Lysol wipes dispenser by the elevator was also empty

My first time staying at the Dean I was pleasantly surprised Very chill, low key, barely knew anyone else was staying there There’s a lounge right off the lobby w a coffee bar and art magazines

My king room was larger than what I expected and the bathroom gave black tile realness So many windows and amazing natural light up on the fourth floor Will definitely come back to stay for a weekend This is by far the nicest hotel in Providence Make a reservation for North, the hotel restaurant, for a delicious and exquisite meal in beautiful, intimate quarters

Becca Leighton

the front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful, and the room was cute with little personal touches However, after working my very physical job all weekend, I was hoping for a comfortable bed to sleep in and instead the bed was very lumpy and sunk down in the middle, especially on one side The shower was fun, but it is a rain shower head directly overhead and as someone who can’t get water in their ears, I had to be especially careful

The elevator is a classic lift, which is fun and terrifying at the same time (we didn’t quite understand how it works, as when we went on it the first time the hotel staff had to open the door from the outside when we got to our floor) so we opted for the stairs the rest of our stay I like the neon signs and lights and that they make an effort to be sustainable Overall a fun quirky place, but would love a more comfortable bed as that’s the main draw of a hotel room for us especially after a few long days of work

Mark Bezerman

Really neat hotel, super trendy with a distinct identity, in a good location downtown Walkabout to Federal Hill (Little Italy), and across the Providence River to College Hill Once you take the tiny old-school elevator up, you feel like you’re in for an experience

And you are! Room was super cool, super modern Would absolutely stay here again next time in town

The house is BEAUTIFUL and everyone I had come across was so kind My tour guide was Vic, she was absolutely incredible to say the least The tour was so fascinating and definitely the highlight of my business trip

Her personality was so spunky and she knew how to keep the group involved and listening She answered every question I had even down to the heights of the members in the household! I would love to come back again soon, and plan to do the Fall River ghost tour with them as well! Thank you for doing such a wonderful job of entertaining my morbid curiosity!

Debra Clen

This was our first trip to the Lizzie Borden house We found parking no problem and our tour was right on time Our tour guide was very sweet, very knowledgeable but a little too animated for my taste

She gave us plenty of time to check out every room and take all the pictures we wanted and gladly answered our questions We were not rushed at all It was very interesting and fun to hear all the history and added facts we never knew We did pay extra for the basement tour and unfortunately I think that was a waste of money We were brought down to a very small basement that was half blocked off The only thing that we got to see in the basement was a wall that has an eerie picture that resembles Lizzie Borden Lizzie Borden House is definitely worth it if you want something fun and interesting to do

Jaime Liscio

A truly historic and unique experience We spent 2 nights in the Morse room and will most definitely return Alex and Jack were our wonderful guides

The housekeeper was also excellent and accommodating This experience is worth every penny Highly recommend both the day tour and night tour The owners are doing a great job at keeping the legend of Lizzie Borden alive and well Thank you a million times, see you again real soon!

The hotel was clean and modern There is a restaurant attached, but not owned by the hotel The room we stayed in was a one bedroom suite, and we used the pull out couch so that 4 of us comfortably fit in the one room

We had an issue with a clogged shower, but they fixed it within 10 minutes Breakfast in the hotel was a hot breakfast with good options Overall, a good experience for us

Amy Ouyang

Location: 5/5 not far from Providence station (I think it was 10-15 minute walk)Room for 3 people: 4/5 spacious but sofa bed wasn’t the most comofortable but for one night it was goodKitchen in Room: Didn’t use it so I’m not gonna rate it but it is small

If you do plan to use it, it’s quiet nice that the room came with itShower: 35/5 not a big fan of how the shower is because water can still leave the shower area (there should be a door or so for the shower and not just a glass wall) Didn’t take pictures of room so I cannot provide imagesOverall: The place was fine for a one night stay I would definitely book again because it is cheapest out of the other surrounding hotels in Providence We were there for RI pride so we weren’t in our room much only for check in and at night to sleep The only thing I wasn’t a huge fan on was the breakfast It is included so I can’t complain too much on free food

Lennie Luz

No parking Valley parking only $42

You have to find a valley, nobody standing outside waiting There was no bread for toast, only plain bagels and nothing to cut them with No cream cheese No napkins ( they were out and expecting some later that day or the next) Waffles but no syrup I could go on but you get the point My daughter will be going to school in Providence starting in the fall and I was hoping to find a nice place to stay when we visit Needless to say, that will not be it

I was looking to get away for a few days to slow down and reset The Beatrice was the perfect spot! The room offered amazing views of downtown, with oversized floor to ceiling windows I found myself reading and painting the afternoons away, with a healthy dose of people watching

The bed was extremely comfortable and the modern bathroom offered a lovely shower and warm soft robes It truly felt like I was being pampered I secretly enjoyed the rainy days because it gave me an excuse to relax in my room even moreThe staff was professional and warm, offering great dining recommendations and a friendly interactions The ease of valet parking further reduced any stress that may come from parking in the cityI definitely recommend The Beatrice to anyone coming to Providence!

David Silver

The Beatrice hotel is a hidden gem in downtown providence The valet Alberto greeted us promptly and was quick to assist us with our bags Upon entering the hotel we were greeted with happy guests and the most beautiful chandelier and mosaic

The decor alone doesn’t scream providence in the best ways possible The front desk team of Sydney and Olivia was everything and more A smooth greeting with such warmth made you feel right at homeKevin who was there in the evening helped with great suggestions on where to go He was just a delight overallThank you to Jennifer, the general manager who truly went above and beyond with her staff to make this getaway a memorable one

The Beatrice is a wonderful local hotel The use of space is brilliant and the integrity of the original historic structure has been maintained That’s what made me want to write this review in the first place

Integrating the old paper street alley to me was emblematic of the smartness and design throughout the hotel The rooms seem both warm and contemporary which is a hard combination to pull off I was delighted to hear that some of the artwork throughout the hotel was created in and of the memories of its namesake Beatrice It felt like I was in on a family secret Last – Bellini’s is really a lovely spot The restaurant wasn’t open when I was there but I did see inside and I’m looking forward to going back some weekend over the winter Excellent

Nice hotel Great location Pretty view of the river

Wonderful staffComplimentary breakfast okay but eggs were cold and not very goodAlso, they will not allow you to park your car in their garagethe valet has to do it So, you are stuck paying $2800 a day plus tips That is pretty high I have stayed at several other Homewood Suites and parking was FREESo, good for a get- away weekend but if I needed to stay in the area for a longer period, would find another hotel where parking is free or less

Ruta

Great stay !!The location is right in the downtown, cross the street and you come to the Providence waterfront It is conveniently located in the downtown with walking distance to the train station and bus stops (near Burnside Park)The room service is great, the staff is friendly and helpful

The breakfast is decentThe only issue is the parking, there is good valet service But I prefer, parking my car and taking it out at my ease rather than texting the valet and asking them to get itNo complaints on the valet service though, just my personal preference

Nancy Boyle

Although the hallway smelled funky (a combination of stale smoke, garbage, and air freshener) the room itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable with no odor It had a kitchen and full sized refrigerator with automatic ice maker Nice not to have to leave the room for ice

It’s close to the airport The hot breakfast included pre-made omelets, sausage, cereals, make your own waffles, and other miscellaneous items typical at these free hotel breakfasts I’d stay here again especially if I was on a long stay

I will start with a positive The hotel is right off I95 Breakfast was surprisingly decent for a hotel buffet set up

On the downside, this place is in a very rough part of time As a New Yorker I have high tolerance for rough neighborhoods so please take my word for it A run to a local store for water had us facing drug addicts and a general sense of uneaseWhen we checked in around 10 pm we were warmly greeted by Jessica at the front desk Apparently, she was only person working the desk and was overwhelmed We jammed ourselves into the tiny elevator and went to our room on the 4th floor It looked tidy but on further inspection the bedding was absolutely disgusting The top blankets were stained and the mattress cover on one bed was badly stained with body fluids and hairAt first we just asked for new sheets but Jessica advised the housekeeping staff had left for the night and she had no access to the linen closet She offered another room on the same floor, which was cleaner but there was “stuff” in the toiletDespite the rough start, we did have a good night’s sleepI must mention that Ed, a gentleman who served breakfast, was very patient and respectful Still, I would not go back

Laura L.

This is the first Hampton Inn to get 5 stars, and I love Hampton Inn First, this is the first one with wheelchair ramps from parking to the first floor huge plus! There are 2 elevators on one section and one on another section! The rooms are spacious with many USB and outlets for charging! The rooms are bright and clean! There is a fitness center, pool, and meeting room There is a convenience store and the breakfast has abundant options, your regular items, plus turkey sausage and Nutella spread

I was very impressed with this location and hope to be back soon

Tiffiny Drepaul

They charged my wife a cleaning fee for rose petals I put for mothers day and tried to put us in a dirty room when we first arrived knowing she had diamond status $25000 fee like how? I do not recommend you stay at this hotel to nobodyall this because we didn’t leave a tip this hotel is also very dangerous and filled with homeless people begging for money in the hallways

Nice clean hotel Located in a very nice place in downtown with many food and art and craft establishments aroundThe lobby is filled with antiques and is decorated well

The rooms in the second building are a little hard to get to and you have to go though a maze of a walkway to get to the elevatorThe hotel staff is nice and accommodating, we arrived at the hotel around 11:30 AM when the check in was scheduled after 4 PM and were hoping that we had to leave our luggage with the bell boys and come later for check-in but the hotel staff made a clean room available for us right away and checked ✔️ us in without any waitBravo good customer service

jesse bowen

We stayed here for the weekend for a wedding The hotel, amenities and event spaces were great and the room itself had everything we neededThe real 5 stars goes to Molly who is part of the staff here

She went above and beyond in helping for any of our needs and was always nearby to assist and was also quick to provide recommendations for things in the area She absolutely crushed it when it came to hospitality during our visit!

You can put lipstick on a pig but it’s still a pig… it looks so nice, I’ll give them that But man, this place was awful My husband and I are traveling with military orders with our dogs

this place is *pet friendly* we were placed on a pet floor with other pet guests but we’re given a notice of our dogs barking by guests that were not staying with pets due to overbooking We were also down graded to a smaller room due to that, but still charged a higher rate while having a compt drink at the bar (only good thing, with good service) we spoke to another guest who also had a horrible stay here Again, if aesthetics is all you’re looking for then you’ll find it here nothing else I will never be the one who criticizes the middle manaka the desk clerk this is something higher management needs to address

If visiting Providence, I highly recommend the Christopher Dodge HouseIt is in a great location with quick access to shopping and restaurants Many within walking distance

The rooms were comfortable and homey with amazingly comfortable beds They were one of the few B&Bs that accept children and our child really enjoyed his stayThe staff was friendly and top notch They provide some excellent breakfast option all locally sources, including locally Roasted coffee! So if you are looking for a place, don’t overlook this location!

Tessa Huttenlocher

A cozy and affordable bed and breakfast! I enjoyed the comfy bed and the quiet breakfasts in the sunny dining room The chef made wonderful dishes, like avocado toast and pecan bourbon glazed French toast One downside to staying here was that, while it is very close to downtown, it is not walkable—too many highways in the way! (But that’s the fault of city planners of old, not Christopher Dodge house

) Ride-shares into downtown we’re still <$7 when I visited, so this wasn’t a big problem

Katherine Sorrentino

What an amazing bed and breakfast experience Simply cannot express how wonderful our stay is was The room on the third floor was so spacious and light

The comfiest bed with the softest sheets The hot breakfast was delicious and all of the staff were so warm and accommodating I cannot think of a better stay for such an affordable price If you’re coming to Providence, you MUST stay here!

The staff at this Marriott was exceptional! As a well seasoned traveler (3 million plus miles in the air and years of hotel nights) I notice attitudes and moods of employees From the front desk staff to the housekeeping, maintenance and restaurant crews, this group worked like a well oiled machine Everyone greeted me with a smile, went out of their way to chat and check on my stay, and otherwise made me feel at home

Kudos to the management staff who have clearly instilled a positive culture among the employees, who always were busy with some task, but never so engrossed that they couldn’t check on our experience Food was excellent as well! Well done!

Josh

If you like hanging by the pool this is a great place We spent most of our time there Our 3 boys (6,4,2) loved it

Rooms are ok, nothing special Gym is pretty disappointing Didn’t get anything from the restaurant If they spent a couple hundred on the gym it would go from a 3 to an 8 Need an Olympic bar 2 more 45 lb plates, new attachments for the cable machine and dumbbells that go up to 90 lbs

Sangeeta Gupte

Hotel is clean and great location Staff at breakfast lounge was very courteous However staff at front desk was very rude

When requested for late check out they rudely said that it can be extended to 1 pm but you need to call in the morning When I came to room, I could not log into WiFi when I added room number and last name When I called front desk, instead of helping, they asked me do you know what is the last name??? When called in the morning, rudely indicated that they can’t allow late check out as they are busy They could have said this in better tone They definitely need training or need to replace them I am a Bonvoy member for long time and have respectable status (platinum) I do not expect this kind of service from Marriott brand hotel I will not stay in this hotel due to ‘BAD’ ‘UNACCEPTABLE’ front desk service

All around, this is an awesome spot on a gorgeous river The rooms are beautiful and unique among peer hotels (very minimalist modern design) and we loved all of our meals in the restaurant The fries were especially noteworthy

Each staff member with whom we interacted was professional and welcoming, especially the wonderful servers in the restaurant I highly recommend hanging out on the deck—what an awesome spot! Also, be certain to check out the brewery down the roadThe only real low point was that our room (141) reeked of stale cigarette smoke, and this unfortunately clung to our clothes all weekend We visited for Brown commencement, and our family spanned 5 rooms Of these rooms, only two smelled like cigarettes; the others were totally fine If you check in and are assigned to room 141 (or another smelly room), request a new room immediately The trouble will be worth it!All in all, we had a great stay and the price was unbeatable I recommend staying at the NYLO

I loved this hotel!! It might not be everyone’s cup of tea as it is designed in rather a Steam Punk style Rooms are concrete on the floor and walls with some softening elements placed to make the rooms cozier Ducts and ceiling fixtures are exposed in the hallway as part of the further design scheme

Some people might find this a little cold, but I found it to be extremely stylish The bed was one of the coziest I have slept in, the restaurant provided delicious food offerings, and the front desk staff was extremely accommodating I stayed here by chance after my flight to leave Providence was canceled and I had to find a room quickly The next time I’m in town, I will look this place up for a longer stay

I love the NYLO collection of hotels This one is outstanding The industrial furniture, lighting and overall ambiance is a breath of fresh air

The location is also quite central I am glad that the restaurant is back up and running as the breakfast is a great value for the quality I couldn’t believe that the hotel was only $110 + taxes for the night on our corporate Travel app

We stayed here with a block of rooms for our wedding The hotel is beautiful and conveniently located, but the service fell well below expectations, the hotel is showing its age, and it is seems to be poorly managed My wife’s family was treated poorly several times and it felt racially-motivated when compared to how my family was treated

My wife was asked by hotel staff to help clean one of her family’s rooms even as she clearly wore part of her bridal outfit My family was immediately and politely given an extra hour for checking out of our rooms, while my father-in-law was told he would need to speak to the manager to approve the same request, even when he mentioned that they were part of the wedding family The manager never called him back In addition, no one explained the very complicated parking situation to him even when he asked, resulting in a much higher bill that the hotel refused to address; meanwhile, my parking bill issue was resolved immediatelyThe hotel had mistakes on my parents’ bill and on my bill, so check carefully They moved my brother to a suite because of a broken, leaky AC in the original room, and then tried to charge us the higher rate without saying anything AC did not work well in many of the other rooms, including the bridal suite, and none of our showers drained properlyConsider using the hotel bar for the views of the breathtaking lobby but it’s probably worth staying elsewhereUpdate: the manager eventually called back and resolved the parking situation with my father-in-law while offering some credit While appreciated, the frustration remains

The bathroom was extremely small Certainly no room for 2 people and no room to put toiletries anywhere except maybe on top of the toilet We had a 2 room suite that was very nice

However, as my wife and I were talking at around midnight, we did get a few knocks on the wall from the people next door Must’ve been thin walls There was no valet parking but a parking garage a block away Nobody met us outside to assist with the bags The front desk was nice and told me where to park and when I walk back to get the parking receipt validated I noticed a sign at the garage with a max parking price of $25 As it turned out, I was charged $3560 for parking by the hotel Now that was pretty sleazy considering there was no valet service My cousin who joined us in another car paid the next day at the garage and was charged $19 for the same amount of timeBottom line, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel There are other very good hotels nearby

Shocked this hotel is so highly rated Maybe the history of the building has covered guests’ eyes with rose-tinted glasses, but this hotel should not be rated a three star hotel, let alone a four star hotel My heart sank a little bit as soon as I entered the hotel as the staff couldn’t find my reservation

They later found it (and charged me twice for it), and things only got worse The bathroom was very dirty (please do yourself a favor and don’t rub any of the surfaces with a tissue), and the AC only worked sporadically throughout the nightThere was an unfortunate incident where a lady screamed racist statements in the elevator and meaningfully stared at my room’s number I spoke to the front office hoping to get some action taken, but I received encouragement to try to find the lady’s room number The last thing I wanted to do was confront some clearly unhinged woman going on racist tirades I was hoping to at least get moved to a different floor so I didn’t have to worry about this lady, but I guess management thought this was just another casual event Speaks volumes about how you will be treated if something goes wrong! If this was the Hilton or Marriott I would guarantee they would do their best to make sure you felt safe and supportedAs far as the pros Their shampoo/conditioner is actually pretty nice and I loved that the TVs are adjustable I also definitely appreciated the historic nature of the building and the overall architecture, but I’d do yourself a favor and step into the hotel lobby, admire the view, and book yourself a different hotel

This location has been very busy during my stays It seems as though this is the norm All staff that I have spoken with have been professional and courteous

However, the facility is showing wear and tear that maintenance and housekeeping staff should address Most recently I noticed that the pool appeared cloudy Our room was missing utensils and a toaster The outside trash bins are often overflowing Pleased to see that guests are asked not to smoke near the doors or on the patio All Home2 need to enforce this policy

This was my first time staying at this location & I was not disappointed I stayed for a week I used the spin2cylcle and that was very clean

My room was spacious and super comfortable I even cleaned my room some more & I didn’t have to do much because it was pretty clean when I got there The fridge & freezer kept everything cold and it was big enough for all of my food I had all the utensils I needed & I loved the fact I got to cook in my room, that was awesome! My room was on the 2nd floor and I loved how I was next to the elevator & ice machine Very convenient!! I didn’t have a problem with noise I could barely hear anyone They had a small dog staying on my floor but the dog barely made any noise No complaints there I loved how the breakfast offered hot & cold options every day & 7/11 and Dunkin are less than 5min away walking distance I don’t drive so I was very happy to be on the bus line Everything is so close!!! I will be staying here again 🤗
