We were in town for a wedding It was our first visit to Beaufort Absolutely love the Cuthbert House Inn

We stayed in the Coastal Suite Loved the porch for morning coffee and tea and evenings for a little wine The social hour was awesome as well, drinks and snacks on the porch with new and old friends I can’t say enough about the breakfast, it was amazing We were close enough to walk to shops, restaurants and along the water Perfect location, beautiful setting, super nice staff Definitely going back again!! This is for sure a 5 star stay!!!! A side note, I have difficulty walking due to a bad break, so the Coastal Suite had outside entrance just three stairs down I was able to get in out and with my cane and the stairs on the front of the house were manageable with my cane as well

Cuthbert House is a beautiful and amazing building with a great location (across from the water and close to town) and the rooms take you back in time The owners and employees really go out of their way to make you comfortable and satisfied The afternoon food was delicious (we even asked for the recipe for the canape) and the conversation with the owners was enjoyable

Breakfast was amazing and the setting couldn’t be better We would definitely return for a longer stay to see more of the area

Kristi Abbott

The Cuthbert House Inn is incredible & I highly recommend it to everyone thinking of visiting this beautiful town We stayed in the Courtyard Room with our own private entrance The room had everything you could need with a very comfortable bed & lush bedding

Connie & Ed & all the staff were unbelievably warm & welcoming Oh & the best location! We locked our car & walked to dinner every night! We will hopefully visit Cuthbert Inn again Thank you for sharing your home with us

The property, service, meals, drinks, — everything was perfectFrom the time you come to the main gate until the day you leave you are going to be happyI stayed in a suite which was very well appointed

Room service was excellent with a morning cleaning and evening turn down service Anthony the valet was very pleasant, helpful and always smiling Victor at the bar makes the best drinks There is too much to say about Montage that I cannot put it all in a review Reserve a suite now and be prepared to have a great time

Meg Carter

There just aren’t words to describe how special this place is and the vibes you feel the minute you cross the gate on to the property An incredible gem, an experience, service above any standard you can imagine Quality food, quality service, spa service quality, excursion and activities, the history, the views, and the people…oh if I could remember all of their names I’d share them

With repetition I interacted with Jepheto and Sharon and many others Wow Just wow This is a Must experience full of luxury and southern charm I’m so grateful to have experienced the Montage at Palmetto Bluff Truly a blessing

Andy W

Outstanding estate and great hotel Beautiful landscapes and very friendly staff Stayed their 6 days and enjoyed it very much

If you stay at the inn, book a room with a lagoon view From your balcony you can watch the alligators swim by Air condition in the rooms extremely silent Rooms are spacious, tastefully furnished and clean Only Octagon restaurant is disappointing but the beauty of the whole place and the quality of everything else overcompensates those little disturbances…

We stayed here for one night We booked one of the suites The room was very spacious

The bed was comfortable and it was very quiet overall For the price we paid, I expected something a little nicer room wise but I understand with these hotels on the beach, you’re paying for the location We went in the heated pool and hot tub and enjoyed being able to walk out to the beach We tried to get a late lunch at one of the restaurants but they told us they were doing last call when we walked in at around 4 which we found a little odd Overall we enjoyed our stay

BB

The resort is a nice place to stay for a vacation or quick getaway This place is beautiful The staff was polite and helpful

For the price the resort is charging people and I would have thought the hallway walls and the walls in the room would be cleaner or in better condition The beds are comfortable and cozy The rooms and bathrooms are spacious I had to reclean the bathroom There was still hair from someone else in the tub, in the sink, on the bathroom walls and on the toilet I have not been able to find a hotel or resort with the entire room being clean including the bathroom

Nathan James

Overall we enjoyed our stay The property is beautiful and in a great location The food was fine

One of the best features of the rooms is that they were very quietFor the money, the staff was lacking I understand the labor market is tough but they need more employees and higher quality employees Parts of the resort also looked very tired The outdoor areas and main floor were updated and quite nice The hallways and some of the furniture were worn out The sofa in our room had a large rip in it, there were some stains in the carpet, etcThe resort has tremendous potential Invest more in staffing (quantity and quality) and then the rooms

I was nervous because I was on the backside of the hotel Not very much light but please do not sleep on this location Staff excellent ,rooms very nice and clean

And it’s in an awesome location The manager I believe her name is Jenny so sweet and kind and she told my daughter and I all the great places to go Also Heather was awesome I could have not ask for a better stay The only thing I missed was an indoor pool and breakfast cost was a little expensive but other than that I had an awesome experience and I will return housekeeping was great as well All I’m asking is give them a tryI loved the service

Robert Fortner

This recently remodeled Hilton Garden was a great option for us during our stay at Beaufort It is just off the main highway, so very convenient There are a few restaurants in walking distance, a Food Lion and very close to two coffee spots (highly recommend Urban Brew)

It took us about 30 minutes to get to Hunting Island, and 5-10 minutes to get DT The hotel staff was pleasant in all my interactions with them, and they even gave us a pet gift bag with treats, local information like pet friendly restaurants, and vets, a water bowl, poop bags and other items Hotel was clean, and quiet Great Experience

Nice resort with plenty to do and a Great kids pool Activity schedule is robust and diverse! Beach access is great and amenities both on the beach and property are of good quality Rooms are very well decorated and have everything you need

Staff is attentive and friendly Fitness center if pretty good A number of pools on the property and located in a nice area of the island where everything is 15-20 minutes at most from the resort My greatest qualm was food quality in the property There was a sole restaurant that had a standard poolside menu but no healthy or more high quality foods for meals aside from pool snacks and lunch items

Katherine Gonos

This hotel exceeded our expectations! The Villas were very meticulously designed for families with beautiful beach decor and a full functioning modern kitchen with stainless steal appliances The children’s pool was awesome with a slide and other kid friendly designs The Villa had a large balcony much larger than other hotels I’ve been to

The staff, especially at the restaurants were friendly and considerate If you choose to eat on location, you can walk to the Westin which has a great outdoor bar/restaurant with friendly staff and the food was excellent

Colby Ellsworth

Definitely not worth $529 a night This is not a full beach front hotel You pay for the name not the location or amenities in the hotel

We felt lied to on so many things from the website at first booking They say beach front when only one villa is partially a villa the other villas have villas in front or an entirely different hotel in between you and the beach The website says heated pools when there is only one that is heated The indoor pool is only walking distance if you stay by the club house and not the garden villas First check out is at 10:00 and check in at 4:00 We go to check in at 4:10 and they say our room is not ready How can you charge people $529 when you can’t even have rooms ready in six hours They moved us a different room that we were told would be the same views as our originally booked room The views were supposed to be pool we got views of the patio roof and the house keeping hut The outdoor pools where full of leafs and the only heated pool of their advertised plural heated pools was by the club house which we had to drive through We should have stayed at a cheaper hotel on the beach south of here for half the cost that would have let us stay longer

This inn is Fantastic My husband and I are so overwhelmed by the genuine hospitality of the owners and staff of Old Town Bluffton Inn We came across this Inn on Google when we were planning our first trip to the Bluffton area

It looked nice so we decided to make a reservation From the moment we arrived, we knew we made the right decision It was beautiful, immaculately clean and welcoming We were immediately greeted by a pleasant staff member who made us feel comfortable He offered us a glass of wine at the beautiful and cozy bar on the first floor During our stay, the owners and staff made us feel at home They offered suggestions for restaurants, made reservations for us and gave us suggestions on things to do in the area They took the time to get to know us Great location within walking distance to great shops and restaurants Since our first time there, we’ve been back to stay and see our friends at Old Town Bluffton Inn We call it our home away from home Whether you’re looking for a one-night stay or extended stay, look no further You will love this upscale Inn Old Town Bluffton Inn is one of the best you will ever find

Heather Hartman

I can’t say enough about how beautiful and comfortable this Inn is! We found it on a lark, and we’ve stayed there twice in two months It is built with all the polish and finishes of the Jekyll Island Club Hotel or similar luxury properties Everything is top of the line comfort and convenience

I wish I’d taken some pictures, but we didn’t have a lot of free time this visit The owners are very personable without being overly friendly Would choose this destination every time for the Bluffton, SC area Great restaurants within walking distance including Farm, The Pearl, Nectar, and others

The room and hotel were very nice Appears to be newly renovated The biggest reason I gave it a 3 instead of a five is the door to the bathroom does not have a lock and it is frosted glass

Every time someone gets up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom (which is often with kids) and turns on the light, it wakes the people in the bed up (the bathroom door is located between the two beds) It really needs to be a solid door with a lock (I have kids and would prefer a peaceful shower or bathroom break without them busting in) The hotel is also by a sewage plant We smelled it once when outside and faintly twice at night It wasn’t horrible If you are in your room a lot, it may be an issue But we were there only to sleep and shower after the beach

cordia popp

The hotel is in a convenient location and we’ve actually stayed at the hotel adjacent to it Front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful The room with the sofa bed is huge with a walk in closet with plenty of room for our family of four and a friend

Large bathroom as well Beds are very comfortable The room was like brand new and extremely clean Really love this hotel and would stay here again I guess the only negative which really wasn’t a big deal is that there is a water treatment plant or something right behind it so outside it smells and I can smell it a little in the room, but it isn’t that bad It wouldn’t deter me from staying here again

Tommy Kovack

This is one of two hotels I stayed at during my drive back home after graduating college I decided to stay at a hotel in Hilton Head Island because I wanted to check out and explore the area for a little bit This hotel is located off of the southern side of the Route 278 loop behind a Home2 Suites

Businesses and the beach are within a five minute drive Right off the bat, I could tell that this is a fairly new hotel, it was probably built sometime within the past five years Once I parked and got checked in, the first thing I noticed was the really cool and futuristic looking elevators The lobby is nice and spacious, and the interior corridors have a nice relaxing and modern look When I opened the door for my room for the first time, I was in awe for just how big it was It was HUGE! The closet was also an absolute colossus, possibly the biggest I’ve ever seen in a hotel room The flatscreen TV was across from the desk and between the beds and couch, and was adjustable which was greatly appreciated The beds were very nice and comfortable Cleanliness and maintenance were mostly on point, with the exception of a few food specs in the microwave, dirty air filters, and the ironing board which has definitely seen better daysWith the few relatively minor issues mentioned above, I was debating between giving this place four or five stars I only stayed for one night, so they didn’t really affect me that much However, if you’re staying longer, these issues could get annoying Because of that, I decided that a four star rating overall would be appropriate It really isn’t that far off from getting a perfect five star review in my book With the way that it is though, this hotel still has my recommendation approval for Hilton Head travelers it’s a beautiful, super modern, and possibly futuristic looking place with ginormous, spacious, and quiet rooms In terms of the aesthetics, I’d say this is one of, if not the nicest Marriott hotel I’ve stayed at to date

Wow! Less than a year old, it’s hip looking Breakfast was good, self serve Denise at the front desk is awesome! We asked for a porta crib and they said they didn’t have any

The front desk young man (evening) went out of his way and called the Home2Suites across the parking lot, got their last one and picked it up and delivered it to our room That’s going above and beyond There’s no pool It was cold anywayComplementary 24/7 coffees and teas in the lobby where we ordered in food and ate down there Nice Pool table in lobby too The night time young lady at the front desk was helpful as well All of them were exceptional I’d definitely stay there again!

Kelly Sember

Can’t say enough about the staff, fabulous, especially the woman who checked us in She went above and beyond!! The hotel, our room were super clean, inviting and comfortable If I had any complaints, we could hear the person in the adjoining room snoring, but we were awake and laughed, it didn’t interrupt our stay or sleep!! The breakfast was great too

We would definitely stay here again without hesitation

Christie Wheeler

Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $20 and stay at a different hotel The location and it being a newer hotel is what lead me to reserving a hotel room here However, I was super disappointed with the stay

The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from a hair dryer at 4am to super rude guests next door with loud music, screaming and yelling and slamming doors There was no soap or body wash in the room When I went to the front desk, they were out of these in house keeping They brought me a body wash from a vacant room to “tie me over during my stay” I ended up going and getting soap so that I could wash my hands because it was super annoying to open the shower every time I had to wash my hands The shower was not clean There were pink stuff in the corners of the shower and stuff on the walls near the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers None of the four wall receptacles in the bathroom worked The refrigerator was not cold There was white stuff that looked like glaze from a donut on the desk chairThere were a few positive points: The beds were comfortable The breakfast was good You can’t beat the location especially if you are going to the drive in movie theater or Hunting Island State Park

Make sure you are content with paying a lot of money merely for location (entrance to Hilton Head Island) because you are not getting a room and hotel worthy of what you are paying I will say our room was clean, but it doesn’t match what you would expect for the price The bathroom was extremely outdated and small

The shower walls are yellowed, the fixtures are rusted In ours the tub had an odd bump in the middle floor and there was a hole in the faucet knob The bathroom is more what I would have expected in older motel Our room also had a funky and nauseating smell from the AC/Heat system When we asked the staff about changing rooms they just gave us “Febreeze” to try to mask the smell We ended up buying a small fan we could turn on so we wouldn’t need to run the AC There are signs of wear in the hallways too Most of the staff was friendly, except when we checked out and were barely acknowledged I wouldn’t stay here again or really recommend it, mainly because I think you should get more for your money than just an “eh” experience

Victoria Clarke

A very nice hotel with next to island access Still mainland, but easy enough to reach the island or the nice town of BrantonHonestly mostly just disappointed that as expensive a hotel as it is, I have to pay for “unlimited” continental buffet, because I really want 4 bowls of cereal and 16 slices of toast

But there are so many great and affordable breakfasts elsewhere in the area (They offer free waters and I definitely took advantage every time we left and returned)

Linda Mele

The hotel needs to be refurbished, carpeting is old along with peeling wallpaper in halls Bathrooms need to be renovated especially tubs Due to Covid staffing is minimal especially in dining area

While checking out yesterday, one employee was disgusting with dropping the “F” bomb with every other word When I suggested to another employee she silence him, she laughed at me Totally inappropriate in any public setting for either guests in the reception, dining areas or other employees This person needs to be fired There are plenty of people wanting jobs Will not be returning to this establishment again Hilton Head is beautiful and you can find other hotels closer to the beaches

Perfect My girlfriends and I stayed there last weekend It was perfect

Very clean and all the staff was wonderful Eric, the manager was very attentive, pleasant and always smiling Even though he was always busy! I don’t think he ever slept! He was always there when we needed something… Whether it be a blanket or just ask questions The breakfast was made fresh and delicious The cook and the waitress couldn’t have been any more accommodating For being short staffed everything went smooth The back patio and view is beautiful We have friends there now and my friends will return over the holiday this month Hoping The same great staff is there I really need to know where Eric buys his shoes too! Thanks for the great stay

My friends and I stayed here last weekend and I just have to say that the staff was excellent! They were short-staffed like everywhere else is right now because people don’t want to work! That being said, the service we received was FANTASTIC!!! Eric, the traveling manager, took great care of our requests and we could not have been more pleased with his friendly attitude and personality in general The kitchen was only available as a grab-and-go due to staffing issues but the food was prepared to order and it was amazing! I have specific dietary needs and the server made sure everything was perfect for me! I am going back to stay in a couple of weeks again Clean rooms and everything we needed

I highly recommend them

First room the bathroom smelled so strong of cigarette smoke It’s a non smoking hotel and we could taste it just being in the room it was gross We were able to get a new room thankfully but the new one had a broken bathroom door handle

The neighbors were super loud and partying until 430 am Front desk was obviously friends with them we asked if they could do anything and she made it clear she knew them but would talk to em Smelled super strong of weed from them as well all night and morningSecond night went fine no loud neighborsPool is disgusting Looks nothing like the pictures at all Lights on ceiling burnt out, all the paint peeling in the room, rust everywhere, hot tub drained and dirty No towels Just super gross Nothing like the website photos Would not stay here again

We had a great time for our stay at 9 Promontory Court! The home is beautiful and spacious and had everything we needed in it Palmetto Dunes had plenty to do to keep everyone busy, and was a beautiful place to stay The only thing I would warn against is renting surfboards–the waves on Hilton Head Island are not big enough for surfing, so that turned out to be a waste of money

We will definitely be back!

Would not know, the booking staff was so poor, they lied to us about availablilty Ran us around on hold for what seemed like hours Katylnn Ruiz (booking staff and travel planner) is maybe the rudest I have ever dealt with

Quiet and family oriented location with tons of biking trails and immaculate landscaping The beach is not overcrowded and very dog friendly However, you cannot bring your own kayak & the island doesn’t have storage options

So to do anything, you need to rent or charter Good luck finding bait without chartering a boat! Since the main reason for this trip was to fish w/ our own equipmentit was a bust for us

Nicholas Estes

This is a nice resort with great views of the water and world class golf courses The light house is great to visit, and there are many shops and restaurants around it I was surprised though at the number of houses and condos right around the resort

This greatly increased foot traffic and car traffic at the resort, and made it difficult to get to many places I think it is still definitely worth a trip to the resort, but also worth exploring the entire island as well

Victor Figlin
