We were needing a room at the last moment for a guest that was singing at our church concert in Tickfaw, La I talked with Kay who was extremely helpful in setting up the room for our guest She was so pleasant to talk with

Our guest was so pleased with the room! He travels across the US ministering churches and said that this was one of the most nicest room he ever stayed in We will be booking with Best Western Plus in Walker again

Juliana Figueroa

Was looking for a place to stay overnight for 2 families Called so many hotels prior about room availablilty and they ask so many questions (which is so annoying, as we were only trying to sleep and rest for the night! ) With Best Western hotel I called and booked right away no Hassel whatsoever Great rooms, clean and beds and pillows are so comfy

the rooms don’t stink like other hotels we stayed at Plus they had a good variety of breakfast options We are very satisfied with our stay Keep up the great service ! I’ll make sure if I come back this way I stay here again in the future

Chris B

Very comfortable hotel and I was warmly greeted upon arrival I was a couple of hours early, but rooms were available and they quickly checked me in Amenities were appropriate and the bed comfortable

Breakfast was the only weakness with a limited selection that was the same all 4 days of my stay This, however, is the least of my concerns when picking a hotel Overall, a very pleasant stay during my business trip

We stayed at the Watermark Hotel in Baton Rouge a few weekends ago and had a lovely experience Everyone there was friendly, engaging and professional We highly recommend this beautiful and historical hotel for your next visit to Baton Rouge

The rooms and artwork are outstanding We would like to give a shout out to Mr Bill who gave us the best tour we’ve ever had at a hotel If he’s not the official, historical tour guide, he should be! What a beautiful soul and incredibly sweet man

Angie Chen

We have been to a lot of Marriotts both domestically and internationally This is by far one of the best What makes it extra special is the staff, from front desk check in to security

They really go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and special The hotel building itself is a destination on to its own with rich history and interesting architecture details The rooms are well designed and beds are comfortable The views of the Mississippi River cannot be beat Highly recommended as a great stop on the way or back from Florida

Robin Luttrell

We stayed at the Watermark as part of a wedding and had a wonderful time The rooms were very nice and the staff was even nicer I must admit the valet team was superb! They were quick to retrieve our cars, engaging and very friendly

James, in particular, was extremely nice as he loaded our car for departure I wish I knew the names of the other valets because they were all outstanding!

We stayed 1 night at this hotel, on our travels to Texas We were a little early at check in but Cynthia at the front desk got are room ready for us right away Cynthia at the front desk is so helpful and super sweet! Her smile and friendliness is so welcoming when you first walk into the hotel!! The kids were hungry from our travel so she gave them a snack to hold them over until we get some food

All the staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable Rooms are spacious and clean Breakfast was great they had something for everyone The staff being so friendly and helpful makes this stay a 10 out of 10! If your traveling through this area you cant go wrong with staying here!

Gregorio & Joi Armand

Great food and excellent service! We stayed for one night while en route to Florida for our kids’ band camp Embassy Suites Baton Rouge’s customer service definitely deserves 5 stars! 1) My daughter needed a quiet room to practice her saxophone Without hesitation, we were allowed to use a vacant conference room

2) My son needed a haircut, so a Hilton staff member recommended a local barber My husband called the barber and he explained that he usually doesn’t accept walk-ins, but was able to fit my son in his schedule within 30 minutes of the call! 3) There was a landscaping company replacing the plants inside of the hotel I jokingly asked one of them what they did with the old plants He smiled and handed me a beautiful plant that I hope to enjoy for a long time 4) Lastly, breakfast was excellent They make THE BEST omelettes and have the freshest fruit Until next time…

Camesha Hogan

This hotel is perfectly situated within immediate access to a variety of entertainment, restaurants, as well as the interstate Rooms are spacious, clean, and moderately updated Breakfast was unbelievably satisfying, as were the drinks during their free cocktail hours at their full service restaurant

However, the true stars of this place is the staff, ESPECIALLY Cameron Calhoun on the evening shift at the front desk Cameron was exquisitely pleasant, and the term “over-the-top” doesn’t even convey his professional , yet lighthearted demeanor! He is a fine representation of southern hospitality at its finest! Though we didn’t receive our welcome bag on our first night (checked in by someone different), he made sure we received one Cameron Calhoun is the epitome of an individual with impeccable character, and represents this fine hotel chain in such an outstanding way! Excellent job Embassy!

The rooms were larger then I expected and extremely clean I appreciate the ice machines on every floor and that were working The morning breakfast was delicious and had so many breakfast sandwich options, so many juice options not just coffee and milk, as well as cold breakfast options

I would definitely stay here every trip when possible

JJ

Didn’t like the fact that they require a $150 hold on the payment card for incidentals Was there for 2 nights and enjoyed my stay On the first day I complained twice to the front desk about loud stomping above my room and it wasn’t dealt with

The second day was much better since the problem people left Rooms were clean and modern and very nice Overall, a good stay at a reasonable price

Maia Miller

The rooms are very spacious and comfortable Staff was very helpful and friendly Upon checkout I forgot something in the room and didn’t realize it til I was gone I called the hotel immediately and to my surprise they found my item and I was able to retrieve it the same day

I was overly excited about that and I can’t thank the staff enough Definitely will be back to visit

We stayed one night in one of the cottages We had chosen the cheapest room which ended up with tax costing $388 (other rooms go up to about $600) The room turned out to be in the cottage closest to the road which gets quite busy around 8am and 5pm

It was quiet during the night though The “porch” of the room has a view of the road and the levee behind itThe room was nothing more than a nice hotel room, furnished with nice antiquesThankfully the price included 2 tickets to tour the house (a$55 value) which was the highlight of our stay, truly worth a detourBreakfast was fantastic, with a choice of 7 different options, and our server Josephine really went the extra mile to make us happy The portions were so huge we didn’t need to eat for the rest of the dayOverall a nice place to stay but overpriced

Bernie Kleiner

This is a very nice hotel with excellent service and it is very convenient to I-10 The staff was exemplary from check-in to check-out There was a large gathering at the facility the night we stayed, yet we couldn’t tell due to the way the facility is laid out and how well the staff took care of business

I recommend the Baton Rouge Marriott if you are looking for a hotel in the city

Patrick Hill

Went for a business event and the staff was super accommodating and very kind Rooms are clean and no carpet which is great My only complaint is not with the hotel in particular but towards whoever in corporate Marriott land in charge of designing the rooms and thought the lighting was a good idea as well as the way the showers work AND to who above them approved it and signed off on it

The switches are dime sized, hard to locate, and the room gives the vibe of a swanky dimly lit cocktail bar even when you have every light on Not sure when we decided overhead lighting was a no go but I’m so ready for this particular corporate trend to die I’m embarrassed to leave this review but I hope it works it’s way up so they realize good lighting isn’t a bad thing! The lighting isn’t miserable but it’s close to it Again, nothing against the hotel in particular only against those making the big buck decisions Other than that 100/10, 5 stars, applause all around I’m leaving four stars in hopes that anything under 5 gets sent up

Candace Quast

Everyone was friendly Nice rooms Asked for extra blankets – they brought a set of sheets

The floor looked like it could’ve been cleaned better There was a weird alarm that kept going off – heard others telling front desk but nothing was done about it The service in the restaurant was a bit lacking Our bathroom sink wasn’t really draining- the plug wouldn’t stay up and no one every came to fix that so water sat in sink as you washed hands/brushed teeth All little things in the scheme of things

I have stayed overnight twice at this place and I highly recommend it to anyone The people and service is wonderful I like the location even though it is next to a major street with heavy traffic I found it quiet and I slept very well in those nice comfortable beds

I needed ice for my little travel chest and they supply it It is right next to a convenient store I walked over and picked up a few things Breakfast was delicious and very well provided with many things Rooms are very clean and everything was great I will be staying there again in the future

Beth savedbygrace

Wonderful hotel! Price was great! Close to the interstate, with a few eating options, Starbucks and a couple gas places very close Great curb appeal Super clean hotel

Nice pool and hot tub Attendants were very nice Only thing I could even comment on that wasn’t great, was breakfast had more limited options then some Will stay again

G W (Kaiser 831)

The hotel has been recently renovated and I think they did a very good job with the exterior facelift and interior design changes The breakfast in the morning was more than adequate and well stocked at all times Rooms were not as quiet as could have been, but outside noises were absent during core sleep hours

Rooms had a mini-fridge and microwave just in case you need it Small outdoor pool and indoor gym equipment appeared to be well kept Prices for the rooms were reasonable for the area The area also had plenty of restaurants nearby for dinner As I was traveling with the family pet, it was nice to find a hotel that allows pets, for an additional $20 surcharge

The location is not a Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott it is a Best Western I was checked into a room that had not yet been serviced I was then checked into another room that was not properly cleaned

My comforter, pillow, and bathroom wall had blood stains on it There was a used washcloth hanging in the bathroom and the toilet was nasty I cleaned the toilet myself with the Clorox wipes I brought along with me I mentioned it to the front desk manager and he had this attitude as if he really did not care He proceeded to tell me that he is not the one that did it I was not looking for a refund or anything I didn’t mention anything about a refund I just wanted to let him know so he can inform housekeeping of the poor job they are doing People spend all this money to stay at hotels and is greeted to those kind of things That is just horrible Not to mention I had to strip the bed myself, go get fresh linen and make the bed myself I had my 5 month old baby with me and he puts everything in his mouth It was just horrible I shouldn’t have to clean the toilet and make the bed myself I paid my money and everything should have been done from the get go

Shawann Carter

This hotel so sad I didn’t want to put a star but I had to just to put review Hotel and the management needs help The hotel just as nasty as the manager attitude

The room that was reserved for us had bloody comforter and manager was unbothered by it Pool was closed (which we were not advised) This place is a do not return for me I had a family vacation of 7 (3 adults and 4 kids) which all became sick at our stay at this hotel NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!! The mew management should have invested in projects the way he keeping this place up because I know for a fact this not the way a hotel should be ranOh yea and keep your voice down 9 o’clock is quiet time

M. Fruge’

My husband and I was passing through and it was cheaper than the Drury and the others we usually goes to However, we got what we paid for The bed wasn’t the best & breakfast was cold and bagged like commodity food, I guess

Like I said, you get what you pay for going cheap! Ik we will stick to what we’re used to next time Customer service was nice & professional

The key card readers barely worked at our door and at the pool We saw folks having try try and swipe several times to even get a light on the readers The digital key just plain didn’t work

Also, I realize we’re 24 months deep with COVID, and masks are optional, but it’s just plain silly for those staff members that choose to wear them, had them below the nose and mouth, either wear it right or don’t wear oneThe rooms are alright, the lighting needs some help being super dim, and nothing substantial to light up the bathroom

Rhonda McDaniel

The hotel and rooms were nice We had a room with 3 adults Advised on first night if we could get set up for 3 people instead of just 2 for towels

Every morning and evening we had to go to the desk and ask for more towels Was also told to put our dirty towels in the hallway where they sat I’d asked for room service to come in and clean, take trash and used towels Was told that bc we had multiple days they only came in when asked Even after asking they still didn’t come in The pillows on the bed were the size of accent pillows for your couch and only 2 on the bed When we booked the breakfast was complimentary On the first night we found out that it was now $15 a person which was absolutely priced too high for the few items they had I would not book at this location again

Melissa Edwardsen

I can see this is a refurbished hotel I chose this over Home2 because of the pictures The lobby looked new but the elevators and rooms were average

In parts of the room there were rusts The AC in the bedroom didn’t work I chose a room and didn’t realize that the bathroom was situated outside of the bedroom across the living room Not nice in there at allplus carpet was old

These people will steal anything you leave at their hotel! Management is not helpful at all they gave me the run around for three days Nothing in the room worked!! What am i paying all this money for! The worst part was that i took my own trash out of my room i seperated the dirty towels, cleaned the shower because they don’t do that ( the previous room users body hair was everywhere) and i left a thankyou note for housekeeping and they still stole my things Sad

Disgraceful Never coming back by choice

We had a few issues with our double queen room We found a lot of hair in the sheets (on both beds) as we were inspecting the room, on arrival However, Mrs

Mary at the front desk , was very understanding and had us moved to a different room Sadly, the new room had sheets with SEVERAL stains on it Mrs Danielle immediately had the lead housekeeper change our sheets Unfortunately, by then we just did not feel very comfortable We were trying to have a nice evening out since our son was away, but we decided we would just feel better at home or another hotel Mrs Danielle was very understanding, apologetic and swift to act as she too has children, and related to us wanting to unwind Though the room(s) we’re disappointing the customer service was greatSide note: My wife went to the bistro where she met Ms Yvette She bragged to me about how nice she was and she appreciated it

Tristan Hood

The staff was friendly and helpful The common areas were well set up The room we stayed in had some blood stains, but the staff were quick to respond and accommodating

The room was spacious and the beds were not terribly uncomfortableThe biggest issue was the shower The drain didn’t make sense and backed up the whole time There’s not much worse than standing in a puddle of your own filthOverall, not the cleanest feeling, but the staff was nice The aesthetic was well updated but did not cover up the overall dirty feelingOverall, would still probably stay again, just if the value or cost made sense

Damon Bernard

It’s about time for remodeling Nice people barely a step up from a choice hotelWould stay there again with a good rate

I’m also a choice member, and personally I like comfort suitesMy wife loves courtyard, most of the times the the courtyard exceeds expectationsGREAT SERVICE AT THIS PROPERTY

I selected it for the location which was great, but my room was not very clean, still had pop stains on the bed side table and fingerprints on the mirror and some hair left on the bathroom counter I asked for room service but when I got back later it hadn’t been done I asked again and it was done

Tip! Make sure there isn’t a Cheer competition at the hotel when you stay there No ones fault but wow, its noisy

Michal Brichacek

Very good hotel Staff that we dealt with were all very friendly and pleasant Rooms were clean and comfortable

The hotel has lots of parking available at no charge The pool area is very nice and well maintained The gym is probably the best I’ve seen of any hotel anywhere It has plenty of modern equipment available, and has both an indoor and outdoor section

Autumn Mastin

I had posted a review meant as a draft but it was handled by the manager before I even knew it was posted The staff has been accommodating of the issues I had upon arriving My room didn’t have a dresser and they offered to move me to a different one, and the fridge was warm, but fixed by maintenance once notified

Big thank yous to the staff and manager for sure

Bathroom was also clean, but also very limited in supplies No place to comfortably sit after long day on the road Just a desk chair As seniors (75+), we need a few creatures comforts this room did not offer Lighting was inadequate, and room seemed dark Had to move nightstand and unplug the lamp ( which made the room even darker!) b/c we both use sleep machines and extra outlets only on one side of the bed I will be checking pictures and amenities more carefully, but likely will not choose this hotel again Hilton can do better

I like staying here We’ve stayed several times, because the room is always clean, the staff is always attentive and friendly, the cost is perfect for the property, and the beds are comfortable The location is perfect if you need to be near the interstate

The on/off ramp might be 1/2 mile from the hotel, yet, it is very quiet in the rooms No outside noise at all

DEBIT CARD STOLEN FROM HOTEL ROOM BY STAFF!I’ve been a hilton member for 6+ years, staying at their hotels for over 200 nights per year and this is the first time I’ve experienced something similarBe very careful when you stay at this hotel I had to live through hell whenever somebody got into my room, stole my debit card and used it at a gas station in Baton Rouge

Even though the manager confirmed somebody from his team entered the room but didn’t clean it, he said the cameras were not working and that I should go to the police He washed his hands even though he knew someone was in the room whenever they were not supposed to

Unclean Breakfast area needs someone to actually USE the vacuum cleaner Shower curtain in room looked as though No one EVER thought to take it down and wash or use bleach

It’s hookless which means you can take it down and throw it in the washer in less than 5 minutes The cloth desk chair in the room and ones in the breakfast needed to be taken out back and burned with that many nasty stains! Get wood chairs Just shameful! Glad I travel with lysol and odoban Hilton should really consider releasing this property I expected sooooo much more because it is a Hilton property One star because the sheets were white But I put my own sheet over them because you just don’t know

Room was spectacular only stayed a night but man what a view of the river, can’t beat it And the fact it’s convenient you can pretty much walk anywhere to get to where you need to be Comfortable room and great views

It’s hard to beat Definitely recommend staying here The brunch on Sunday was on point with an omelette bar and bottomless mimosas and build your own bloody Mary

nice hotel and great location! love that it is in walking distance of several nice restaurantsfor the price we paid, i would’ve expected the bathroom to be cleaner (the shower was dirty when we arrived with hair on the tiles) and the valet to be quicker! took 30 minutes to get my car the other day

Location is good Hotel rooms need some work and are very run down One of the elevators shakes while ascending, while the other is missing a button

Lights in the room look like they’ve been hit with a hammer Toilet looks like it is about 50 years old with dark water marks in the bowl (and it runs from time to time) Mini fridge is randomly placed in a rundown cabinet with the door ripped off Other furniture is missing knobs and has touch up paint that doesn’t match The doors do not block any sound, so the rooms can be very noisy depending on where you are in the hotel I’ve been debating about cutting my loses and just going else where for the night I definitely won’t be coming back to this location in the future
