Good service and clean rooms! when booking I thought there was a restaurant on site, there wasn’t but the hot breakfast buffet was good! Pool was clean but small, they should enforce people to dress properly in the pool, I went in with my kids and a woman was in the pool with no undergarments on and just a beige t-shirt

Other than that we had a great stay!

Nathan Eberhard

We were greeted courteously upon entry, the overall check-in process went smooth All of the rules were explained thoroughly and prompt, our room was clean and smelled nicely The beds were comfortable and clean! There was also a note from Corporate stating that the entire 2nd floor corridor had freshly cleaned carpets on May 10 & 11th, all rooms included, which was a nice refresher as well

They have nice offerings for complimentary breakfast The entire pool/jacuzzi tub area was clean and modernOverall I would give this property a 5 ⭐

Jacob Vankempen

Hotel was decent We splurged on a last minute trip and picked this hotel for the pool so the kids could swim a bit before bed We looked for a bell or something before the desk clerk came over from the restaurant after a minute

The pool was an absolute train wreck It would have been OK but one family was busy destroying it Kids throwing all the towels in the pool Jumping off the handicapped chairs into the pool Screaming and soaking every square inch It’s not a large area and there was nowhere to even sit They had soaked and were splashing all the furniture, every inch of floor, and constantly running in and out of the pool area There was a river running into the hall and lobby I had nowhere to even set my shirt and key and ended up leaving to get dinner instead of stand around dodging the tsunamiThe property was probably nice It seemed recently renovated But some closer attention by the staff seemed needed The pool borders the lobby Paying attention for guests at the desk and the goings on in the pool area should be a little more of a priority

Stayed here for two weeks to work I enjoyed it, small kitchen, living room and a little desk for me to work at I love the bedroom is separated from the rest of room, helps keep my mind on track

Small things they can upgrade but room is clean and bed is comfortable Employees are all extremely nice and helpful Basketball court, you can check out a basketball and 24hr gym Great for those that work odd hours I will definitely stay here again

TheMsashleynicole86

Had a two bedroom suite and loved that each room had its own bathroom and a large living room Kitchen was kinda small and the whole place definitely could use some upgrades It could have been a tad bit cleaner and there were a few broken items but mostly from it being older is probably why

It was definitely comfortable and worth the price Was also given a late check out with no problem because of a snow storm And front desk staff was friendly and brought requested items quickly Would definitely stay again

The location to my work site and having a kitchen is what drew me to this hotel I was in town for work and have specific dietary needs For this reason, this was the most attractive option

The pictures looked decent and the kitchen served its purpose, but that’s allThe room was dingy to start with There was dust behind furniture, trash under the bed, and cobwebs in the corners One of the closet doors was off the hinges and just sitting against the closet The carpet needs to be deep cleaned or replaced The Furniture also had stains Also, the stove was still greasy from a previous guests cooking endeavors Makes me wonder if my sheets were even fresh 🤔I stayed for 5 days so my trash filled up I was told to just set the bag outside my door for pickup It stayed there almost 2 days No extra trash bags were in the room and in order to get one, as well as fresh towels, I had to pick them up from the front desk myself When i asked them about the room cleaning schedule, they told me they only clean occupied rooms every 7 days That would have been nice to know when I checked inI checked out on a Friday and thought I may have left something behind I called over 24 hours later to ask if anything was found in the room and was told they’d call me back after they cleaned it I called again the next day and they still hadn’t cleaned the room Either this hotel is severely understaffed or they aren’t very clean Either way I don’t think I’ll be choosing them again

Stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and loved the space, cleanliness and that it was pet friendly for our labradoodle The complimentary breakfast was a nice treat The staff was sweet & helpful during any communication

The bed I slept in was so amazingly comfortable I actually purchased the same model after returning home We typically only stay at Marriott brand hotels, but after one stay here that won’t be our thought process going forward Thank you for exceeding our expectations during our stay

David Johnson

This is the best place to stay in the Utica area The employees are the absolute friendliest people From the front desk to the maid service to the breakfast room So refreshing to feel like they are really glad you are there

The breakfast food was delicious and they even offer an evening meal The rooms are comfy and spacious Very clean even during renovations Highly recommended!!!!

We were placed in the wrong room, with our three young kids, after a 14 hour drive We didn’t have the energy then to really press about what had happened The next morning Mildreth was very responsive, tried all she could, and finally was able to move us to a larger room – still not the one we had booked & paid for

We reached out via email to the GM and he gave me a call He was very attentive, explained how the change had happened and apologized sincerely for the mistake They were very gracious and made it right The customer service was impeccable as soon as he was aware there had been a mistake It saved the trip for our family and we are very grateful

This is my favorite hotel to stay at The comfort and amenities are great for the cost The walk-in showers with adjustable shower heads are a nice touch

The whole bathroom aesthetic is something I’d love to have in my own home The beds are comfortable with different pillows for different types of sleepers The free breakfast in the morning goes above and beyond the typical stale muffin or bagel many hotels offer The staff is friendly and helpful I always try to stay here whenever I’m in town

Our softball team (11 families) just stayed at this hotel for five nights for a softball tournament The hotel was clean, quick to answer any of our questions and gave us great service The Courtyard was perfect for our families to gather and spend time between games

The landscaping was very pretty and it was designed for socializing It was a huge part of making the experience really enjoyable for everyone Overall, amazing experience and about one of the best hotels I’ve ever been to for a group outing Every hotel should have a courtyard!

Dealraider Sales

Courtyard is usually a predictable and above average brand by Marriott However, this property is well below average First it’s not in a great area

Second, the building itself is run down on the inside – the front desk told me they were supposed to get a refurbishment in 2020 but still don’t have one planned, it’s well overdueWhat made it really bad was the walls were paper thin and I could hear the conversation next to me, and every door opening and closing – like an old motel The bed was completely worn out, sinking far low with poor pillowsI asked to check out early given the condition and bad sleep experience and at least was allowed to do thatMarriott needs to refurbish this hotel completely

Carol Bishop

So far it’s good, not great, I’ve been to better Marriott properties No microwave in the room and one down the hall is not cool, it’s ok for 2-3 nights but longer I’d want more, fitness room is great The building is huge! Needs more elevators and the luggage carts are too small ! They take 1-3 bags the old standup ones took6-9 with a hanger for clothes

Needs improvement ,a C+

1st room smelled awful and had to change rooms Went half asleep to grabbing coffee this morning to have Anna the breakfast attendant ask me if I was alright Her tone was so off I asked why and she said I didn’t look alright

Way to start the day of a guests vacation The rooms were breaking apart from the wear and tear The 1st bathroom was missing the seal partially and literally pieces of the floor and frame were breaking up with holesGrateful to be moved to the 2nd room Annoying to let management know what happened with Sara the attendant and he said no she just doesn’t understand English She spoke to me in English telling me I do not look good yet for some reason she doesn’t understand English and I am wrongMy boyfriend spoke to her in Spanish and she told him in English exactly where the garbage was The front desk just tried to make things better with lies obviously and made it worse

Showed up after an event let out of Ford Field at 9:30 ish, took us about an hour to get out of down town and to this hotel They gave us two key cards, we opened the room and found a family in the room and it looked like they had been living there for a while Came down to the front desk and the night guy said something like, “they gave your room away

” Asked if we could do a king bed for the four of us We said absolutely not Next room he went and checked first and there were people in that room too Finally gave us a key to room 210 and no one was in the room, but the TV did not work and there were scary water stains on the ceiling They moved us across the hall to 211 The room was a handicap accessible room, so there was a walk in shower with no lip or edge which flooded the bathroom every time you used it Also there were broken tiles and I am sure there is a huge water stain on the ceiling of the room belowBreakfast was awesome, but the police came for a group of young ladies and remained until the ladies finished their foodabout an hourOverall I would not recommend the placewalls were thin and people were running up and down the halls at around 2:30 amIt was clean in the rooms – the shared areas needed a good vacuuming and elevators were full of trash

Glenn Fielder

Haven’t stayed here in years but thought we’d give it a try again Front desk was pleasant and got us going to our room quickly Room furniture is looking well worn, same for bathroom as there is mildew on tile grout and tub looks like Breaking Bad filmed there

Also had to fix a broken curtain for privacy Next morning there were beer cans in the hallway and wife complained that breakfast was not good Wife went down to check the fitness room and pool and was back quickly stating both areas were filthy Came back later that evening and trash cans were overflowing and our floor sounded like party central Best part was, we got to our room and neither of our key cards would unlock our door, so back down to the front desk to get them replaced Next morning, we check the breakfast again and just about everything is gone and they say they are cooking more Just left and got breakfast elsewhere

Rachel Spencer

I love my rooms especially the jacuzzi suite my rooms were cleaned very helpful the manager was very helpful with accommodations because when I first arrived one of my rooms wasn’t cleaned wasn’t happy but we made it happened by cleaning one of our connected suites ourself The jacuzzi was nice and relaxing I shall say the beds were comfortable I had to make some accommodations because of my injuries so they made sure that they make they beds were comfortable for me by giving me extra pillows the pool was nice clean warm water Alexis was very nice too I ♥️her etc

the breakfast was good too especially the pancake maker will be coming back soon

Comfortable place to stay Very nice and helpful staff Short stay looks great

Long stay is below average due to cleaning once a week Free gym and pool is great, even if they are not very big, usefull enough for the basics Building is kind of old If you like modern style hotels this is not your place Breakfast is free but it is really bad and same everyday 4/jul/2022

Allena Williams

I give this place 4 for 3 reasons 1 The breakfast WAS NOT tasty

Unfortunately I had to throw it away 2 There was an open soap and used shampoo bottle in the bathroom 3 My husband and I woke up with out backs hurting from the bed When we informed the attendant about the bed she did apologize and stated they are about to remodel the hotel She did offer us something free from the snack station for the I convience

Staff was pleasant and knowledgeable from my initial call to book (through the front desk) My mom has very specific accessibility rooms and the front desk representative was able to answer all of my questions regarding accessibility (which is actually had to come by, believe it or not)Upon arrival, check in was a breeze

The team is polite as a whole and everyone was in good spirits making us feel warm and welcome!Room was clean and comfortable although our automated blinds didn’t seem to operate properly… unless it was operator error Just a note for housekeeping is there was a previous guests Bobby pin left on the nightstand, which was a little alarming… in the sense of how clean was the room really? Visually, it was fine and nothing major Things happen and we understand but definitely something worth mentioning Additionally, we needed to use the pullout sofa and there was no pillow for it and only one light blanket I went to the front desk and requested one of each, to which the front desk happily providedOverall, comfortable and nice overnight stay here Thank you for welcoming us!

Ben Guyton (ETAzero)

Pleasantly surprised at the quality, cleanliness and amenities with a perfect location to those who are visiting Detroit, just a few minutes from 696 The King room had a fridge and microwave which is perfect for stays over 3 days and the rate is very competitive The digital key and mobile check-in/out is a feature that all Hilton hotels should use, so smooth and painless experience

Probably my only gripe is the bathrooms were not stocked with enough towels or tissue, however, the cleaning staff was nice and made sure we had enough for our stay

Desiree Martz

This is the best hotel stay we’ve ever experienced We have multiple children including an infant who was teething Noone complained about the few cry spurts he had

Washer and dryer was very convenient for our long stay Customer service was excellent! Rooms were extremely clean as was the building Perfect location for shopping Amazing breakfast choices Just a lovely hotel all together There is not one single thing we have to complain about We will most certainly be back again 😊

Pretty expensive for the quality I feel this location needs some upgrades and needs to work on their upkeep The young lady that checked me in very nice very sweet

I got there late on a Saturday and stayed until check out on Sunday, she’s the only one that I had contact with I don’t think I was mistaken but I believe she told me that breakfast was an additional charge and I’ve never came across that at any hotel I’ve ever been to so I thought that was kind of odd especially for the price I paid for the standard room

Josh Mills

They advertise having a restaurant but it seems to open and close at random hours and was not reliable Rooms were not well cleaned; we found both garbage and personal items from the last guests Housekeeping doesn’t clean unless you make a request, which just really means that their wages suck enough that they can’t find enough staff

The pool is small and kind of gross (cloudy water) The pool area was also dirty and not well maintained (rusty non-functional shower area, etc) Very much a lipstick on a hog I would stay there again but only because it’s probably still better than everything else nearby Staff was very friendly though

Jod Smith

I stayed at this hotel for a business meeting, the person checking me in was very nice and polite after checking in, I was greeted with a smile, cold water, and cookies by the Director of Sales Samarra who told me about their complimentary manager’s reception dinner that night The food was delicious and made with care! I will make sure I choose this hotel every time I visit Warren If I could give this place 10 stars I would

The gentleman at the front desk could not have been nicer He even called a half hour after we were in our room to be sure everything was to our liking He was super busy with an irate caller when we walked in

I stepped out to give him some space for a bit and then came back to check in He was very apologeticThe ADA bathroom was not ADA There was no handrail to hold on to when getting up from the seat The handrails were on the opposite side of the tub (?!) My husband was unable to shower for safety purposesWe stayed at the Dearborn hotel a week later and their bathroom was perfect

I get that it’s a 2 star hotel, but it’s definitely not up to Marriott’s standards for the price Place hasn’t been updated much since it was built, and the appliances and TV’s are especially outdatedUpdate: my room is next to the mechanical room, which means that there’s a constant whistle/ high pitched noise droning on all day, and someone is doing some serious hammering in there as well Had to go buy earplugsUpdate: wifi is very slow and randomly disconnects without warning

Pros: Front desk staff was polite and accommodating Forbes at the front desk stood out Helpful a few different times

Breakfast was great I will stay here again when visiting family in the areaCons: Common areas were not especially clean Trim along bottom of elevator was missing Common areas could use a refresh

Sophia Shepard

I would definitely like to thank the hotel staff especially the lady who had checked me in now on both my stays She was hands down so polite and just kind and sweet I have stayed at quite a few hotels just for work and I have never had such a sweet lady check me in and make sure that everything was good for me and also was great on making sure I had a place to park my big company truck

Absolutely great staff and good rooms I can’t attest for the breakfast due to I am in my truck by 6 am but every thing else was great

Ish C. Dalm

Not up to quality of other Holiday Inn’s we’ve stayed at There was hair on the wall and floor of our bathroom, a lot of damage to various areas of hotel (ie Elevator, front entrance)

You can tell it isn’t very well maintained On a positive note, the staff are friendly and very helpful In specific the breakfast staff were very accommodating and friendly Likely comes down to ownership not wanting to invest in maintenance and upkeep

Pros: the STAFF Hyatt Place expectations met for cleanliness & ambience Great for meeting business colleagues with decently stocked bar

But the staff who work there can make or break the experience and this one has clearly been successful in maintaining a great team which is remarkable after work crews have dropped off after pandemic It wasn’t just the front desk associates, but maintenance, back office, EVERYONE accommodating and friendly KUDOS to each and every one we encountered, too many names to call out! CONS: Pool closed; needs to be highlighted on website link, esp for those staying with young children $75 pet fee per stay, not mentioned in previous emails/conversations prior to stay until day before check-in, Globalist members not excluded 2 night stay and they had the other common breakfast items as expected from a Hyatt Place, such as yogurt, bagels, boiled eggs, cereal, coffee However, the “hot breakfast” fell WAY short of what we have experienced as Globalist members during the pandemic According to another guest who has stayed here for 2 weeks due to her home remodeling project, the Sam’s Club/Costco Jimmy Dean brand reheated breakfast sandwiches has been the only hot offering for her entire 2 week stay Other Hyatt Places we have stayed at throughout 2020 into 2022, had a different hot breakfast DAILY, as what is more common at this chain Sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes with green & yellow peppers & onions, French toast, pancakes, etc We stayed at the nearby Auburn Hills, MI location earlier this month, as well as Livonia, MI Dec 2021 where both brought back their hot breakfast with a variety of options on a daily basis The pool, $75 pet fee and “hot” breakfast are the only 3 cons for this specific location

The personnel there was out of this world!!!!! They were so nice and accommodating!!! The place was clean, smelled good, and very very appropriately nice!!!! The service was EXCELLANT!!!! I went there for a class in a meeting room The people there were great!!! The whole atmosphere was wonderful!!! They were gracious, kind, very very hospitable, and very moderately priced I intend to go back there, and, tell other people about the wonderful experience I had at the Hyatt in Utica

Thank you!!!!

The first problem was the price we stayed two nights in the middle of the week and it was over $300 we really wanted to pay cash instead of using our credit card because we are awaiting a loan approval for a new home however the woman at the check-in desk assured us that they would hold the credit card and not charge it however they put a hold on it which was not explained to us which after we checked out didn’t go back on our card for 4 to 5 days later so we left there 5 days later it’s like we had paid twice and didn’t get reimbursed for one of the times we paid and I’m going to post pictures of the room in a minute I mean how terrible for a Hyatt I was disgusted the only thing decent was the pool area and they were having to put together new chairs that at least they had some they had like three put together when we got there and by the time we left they were all the way around the pool but they didn’t have a table to put a towel down on in there when we checked in that day the pool was 93° I liked it some people like it a little more refreshing
