We were in room #111 facing east Our room wasn’t fancy but was stylishly decorated and we enjoyed our stay We had water on both sides of the hotel so plenty of scenery was available

We met friends in St Pete/Clearwater a couple of times (45 minute drive) The Sunset Grill and Beach bar provided good food and drinks and is a 3 minute walk Bahia beach (3 minute walk) is small but it worked for our needs Other than that, there is not much in the area

I will never visit this place again The host and property manager (QWEN) was EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful We had to contact them numerous times before receiving a short response

We asked to change our reservation due to a tragic event and she refused to even speak with us Booking contacted them and advised us of how distasteful their management was to them as well Sadly, they have ruined a trip for our children with their lack of manners and business skills I recommend they find someone else to manage their units before they find themselves in a lawsuit

I highly don’t recommend this place for having a stress free vacation this place is a joke

trash and cigarette butts everywhere, the pool was nasty the hot tub was nasty and so was the beach the check in process is flavegasting I got the feeling as though I was being scammed seriously a lack of communication Qwen the host seems to be money hungry in trying to charge for every little detail do yourself a favor and pass this one by it’s a doozey for sure

Rooms, lobby, pool all in great shape and CLEAN! Patio is amazing with lots of furniture and umbrellas Stayed at another owned by this group last year Definitely setting the bar high for other Holiday Inns Rates were competitive with much lesser hotels in area Oh and a real hot breakfast every morning with a rotating menu Biscuits, sausage gravy, bacon, omelets, hot cinnamon rolls etc Plenty of dining options in close by as well

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this hotel It’s beautiful, convenient and super clean The best part is the staff, most notably the front desk staff

They are helpful, caring, compassionate and treat you like a guest and not a number I’m going through a very difficult time in my life and the front desk angels swooped in to help me I couldn’t be more thankful and appreciative of them Definitely stay here if you’re looking for a 5 star experience for a 3 star price!

Zero Days

The hotel is quite nice, with many available amenities like laundry room, conference rooms, pool and spa, and a complimentary breakfast areaThe rooms were spacious, very clean, and for a small fee also pet friendly The furniture was comfortable and clean, the staff were very friendly

The location is advantageous in that it is right off the highway, though noise is a bit of an issue outside The view is nice as there are trees blocking the wider highway and some water featuresOverall it was a good place to stop and rest, highly recommended

Check in was very quick and easy, they also have free breakfast every morning (6:30am) which is fantastic! Bathroom was clean, bed is incredibly comfortable and the room is spacious with a kitchen (stove and refrigerator)

I was there for a convention and the hotel was very close They gave an air conditioned gym and a self serve laundry and a very nice pool area to stay cool Staff was polite and service is quick All I all a very worry free stay This is my go to hotel when I visit Tampa!

Megan LoPiccolo

The rooms were clean, big suite, enough room for our family of 5 I would have given 5 stars but we weren’t happy that the pool closed at SEVEN o’clock most hotels we’ve stayed at and we’ve stayed at many, close at 9, 10 or even at 11 pm The fresh baked cookies were yum and breakfast was decent I just wished it went a tad later like 10 but there were a lot of choices

I would stay again if it wasn’t so pricey

This was our first time staying here but definitely not our last Our AC broke and the heat displaced my family of 5, including our 3 young sons We came in late last night, were put in a comfy room and slept so peacefully

The staff was amazing! Debra in the dining room was amazing! My sons loved her She made us feel at home despite our displacement When we told Cesar at the front desk how amazing Debra and Genevieve were, he encouraged us to leave a review Cesar also acknowledged us as Gold members, he was very kind We will recommend to others and we will be back

anony mous

Sadly I am rating this a one only because ZERO is not an option I am writing this review as a former employee hoping future applicants are able to get a view on how it is to work at this hotel First and foremost I have 5+ years with hotel experience and I have never worked in a hotel with such POOR management

Never have I felt where I was less important then the head managers here, where they are NOT WILLING to work with there employees; as if they only really care about themselves Not to mention that the employees are not informed when the hotel has bed bugs, bugs that I took home cause I was NOT INFORMED about them Overall I hope changes are made so not only future employees and be happy but current ones as well

LynAnn Phifer

We stayed here about 6 weeks ago My only complaint now is that the breakfast was much better 6 weeks ago They used to have bagels, bread and English muffins to toast, now that has all been taken away

They had eggs you could scoop now They have egg sandwiches that are pre wrapped in plastic The breakfast really wasn’t the quality it was 6 weeks ago

Great location and cute boutique in a historic building It’s within walking distance to numerous restaurants , museums, and parks The room and bathroom were spacious

The rooftop bar is pretty at sunset Some negatives are that the lighting is very dim and there is no privacy with the curtains open for light Breakfast was basic and never changed throughout the week The AC was very loud so bring earplugs

Andy Walburg

Beautiful rooms, large bathrooms but the noise outside the window, wow! All rooms have a window facing a narrow enclosed courtyard In that area is the entrance for the hotel, the entrance for the canopy bar, and and an area used for special events On a Friday or Saturday night there are lots of people having way too much fun so you better have ear plugs

Even with the windows closed it is very loud outside

Scott Davis

My wife and I stopped by with our dog for lunch and were immediately treated like family by Peter our waiter who offered our dog a bowl of water and promptly took our drink orders Peter was great and we thoroughly enjoyed his personality and recommendations The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was awesome although a bit hot outside in July

We will certainly come back

Spacious rooms, great location and fantastic breakfast! My wife and I normally stay at 4+ Star hotels but decided to try a bed and breakfast for our recent trip to St Petersburg I can not over state how pleasantly surprised and happy we were with our decision to stay the The Bay Street InnOur room was much more spacious than an average high end hotel room with all the regular amenities

The staff was very helpful and couldn’t have been kinder We will definitely be rebooking The Bay Street Inn every time we return to St PeteAlso, one of the automated scooter rental parking spots is just down the road making it super easy to get around down town

Emma Strong

We had an amazing stay Wendy was very accommodating to our requests We were able to get into our room early, allowing us time to rest and enjoy the amenities before our evening out

When we arrived, there was champagne waiting for us and she greeted us personally to welcome us to the property The location is great and the room was clean and comfortable We stayed in the king apt with the double jacuzzi This was the perfect room for a couple looking for a romantic getaway

Stacey Frentz

We had the most amazing weekend in the Carriage House at the Bay Street Inn! Honestly I have nothing negative to say about this hotel as it met my expectations perfectly Clean, comfortable, and quiet Additionally the design of the hotel is rather interesting and makes for plenty of parking underneath the hotel (which is free)

Also I noticed that there were three EV chargers which is great to see in a more budget-friendly hotel The staff was great and was able to get me checked in early which was a huge plus Only negative would be getting out of the hotel and back onto the main road You usually just had to wait a minute or two for the flow or cars to go past but still a bit annoying

K Jacobs

1st room the AC didn’t work Changed to a new room and there was a distinct pest control smell that was there all 3 nights we stayed Housekeeping was not great

At checkout they charged my cc for premium internet which I didn’t sign up for or use Called 3x to get credit on my cc They were somewhat rude but said I would receive credit No credit received Did a chargeback with my credit card DO BETTER

We really like this little hotel Extremely clean rooms, facilities, which is top criteria for us (We always wipe high-touch items down anyway

This was one of the few hotels we’ve experienced that actually seems to clean the headboard, for instance, which we lean against for TV)EVERY STAFF MEMBER I encountered was professional, friendly, helpful, attentive, and good-natured You can tell this hotel really takes care of its peopleSpecifically, Marcus always offered great advice and suggestions You could tell he really was *thinking* about your question or matter and wanted to offer the best response Ruben was also another stand-out, just an all-around cool person, helpful, and patient Actually, they both wereThe King suites were pretty comfortable, although a bit cramped Esp when someone is at the desk, you have to kind of sidle around Breakfast is “okay” We don’t eat a lot of carbs or processed food, so would prefer eggs & protein instead of breakfast sandwiches Although, they’re not badWe started out with a very lackluster experience at a Home2 Suites close by I’d booked and paid for the room, went up, thought about it and we came back down and checked out, and came back to TownePlace We don’t need (or deserve) to be treated like the other hotel when we’re paying for accommodations We were only at the other place for the better breakfast options, anyway We were happy to return to our friends at TownePlaceBy the way, on our second stay in particular, we found the lobby to be a GREAT place to hold work/study calls at any hour except breakfast It’s laid out thoughtfully, and there isn’t a huge echo-y space, like at Sleep Inn down the road It’s pretty easy to find privacy with the way seating and dividers are arranged (On first stay, one of the TVs was up a little loud, and I saw no way to turn it down a notch)Note, the lobby coffee is old and seems only to be put out once: in the morning at breakfast The K-cups in the rooms are lackluster To me, they taste a bit like dust, ashes, and grass lol I brought my own coffee here I did appreciate the irish creme creamers on our first stay Unfortunately, only hazelnut was available on our secondFinally, we liked how the lobby was on the second floor, and you can only get to higher floors if you have a working key card Nice for securityWe’d absolutely stay here again (and again)!

EDITED:This was my first experience with this hotel, so I wanted to write a reviewThe room was nice and spacious, the bathroom was nice and everything was clean There was a smell upon entering the room, which I’m not big on cleaning chemicals personally, but with what’s going on I understand that some hotels use them

The AC is very powerful so be wary if you put it on too cold, as there are no fan settingsThere is an $18 a day Valet, and the valet was quick and attentive when needing the car The front desk was helpful and nice when checking inThe pool had some leaves in it but was overall clean and was enjoyable to useThere were a couple of little things that happened, but overall I would definitely stay again

My wife and I were transferred to this hotel from Staybridge Suites because they had room blockages What a break for us! Our stay and are room were GREAT! He recommended a restaurant for lunch it boy it did not disappoint Clean rooms, great service and a delicious complimentary breakfast what else could you ask for? We will definitely stay at this hotel the next time we visit beautiful downtown St PetersburgChris & Nicole White

Stayed here with my partner during busy Pride weekend We were really surprised how decent the rate was for its prime location Loved that we could walk everywhere without driving the car once the whole weekend

It’s a really charming spot with a lot of history and excellent service Coffee downstairs in the morning was delicious and room was immaculate and very comfortable The only caveat I would say is because it’s a vintage property, don’t expect all the comforts of a modern cookie-cutter hotel But if you’re willing to give that up for a more unique stay, this inn is an excellent choice

Danny Beile

Old time hotel so no coffee maker microwave or fridge AC was an old window unit kinda noisy However the room was clean had a huge bed and nice bathroom with great water pressure

Had a really nice little coffee bar and beer and drinks at the bottom of the steps ( no elevator ) at the front door Everyone was very nice as well 10 minutes to the pier , nice location No pool either All and all I enjoyed it just know what you’re looking for b4 you book!

Gladys Walsh

The bathroom was dirty and smelled of urine When we came down go let the staff know I was told they would be glad to tidy the room It would take more than tiding this room

The bathroom would take major scrubbing There were even dirty shoe tracks on the floor, but the worst was the toilet seat and the tile around the toilet I could not stand the smell When I told her it would need more than just a tidy up she said she would be glad to change our room and gave me a key, but she had to explain to me that there would be a $75 change fee That’s when I raised my voice and said why would you charge me for changing my room when she gave us a dirty room She immediately took the key she had given me out of my hand and asked me to leave When I told her this was no way to do business she told me to leave She told me to pack all my things and leave I have traveled all over the world and US and have never been treated like this She said if I did not leave right away she would call the police I did not want to escalate things any more so I packed up and left We found a great place just two blocks down the road for less money, very updated, updated (which this wasn’t) larger and a beautiful bathroom which did not smell of urine and a large enough vanity to put more than a comb Avoid the Cordova at any price

We were there to help my Mother-In-law close the deal for a new house in the area We always stay at Hampton Inn’s for we always have had fantastic experiences This was no exception

The staff was absolutely excellent! They even let us print some contract material, which went well beyond what is required The pool and breakfast were equally excellent The one issue is the mattress for the pull out mattress was slightly soiled, but in no way takes away from the overall experience Very well done!

Right from the start, you can tell that they are customer focused! That means a lot these days There’s an old world charm to this place that you don’t get in the corporate hotels The hardwood floors and the vintage decor/large nostalgic murals & canvas prints Bring you back in time

They give out free water bottles to start, then anytime you want them The pub/taproom best foods in Saint Pete, and we tried a lot! It’s an excellent place to stay if you want to walk to some of the best little restaurants or down to the pier The bathroom in our king room was definitely smaller than I would hope for since we stayed for five nights And the view of the parking lot wasn’t that great Wish we could’ve had a balcony room, but those booked too fast The other positives made up for any negatives The outdoor pool, bar & staff were the best! Although it was only in the 70s most of our stay, we always took advantage of the sun, lounge chairs, cabanas, drinks/food and the music at the pool! Very cozy feel even though you’re downtown:) Will definitely be back!!

Stayed here with the family a few nights Great place in downtown Very close and walkable to the pier, and many other things

The pool was nice I would have liked to take a water bottle to the pool deck for me and my daughter but I guess that isn’t allowed, which i suppose i understand I wouldn’t want bunch of rowdy folks sneaking liquor in either The room was nice and the staff was very helpful

Sandy Foster

I love this place! All of the staff – from front desk, housekeeping, wait staff, bartenders, maintenance

were exceptionally helpful and kind This is a historic hotel, so yes, the rooms are a bit small and dated, but that’s part of the experience If you don’t want that experience, go to the Marriott The hotel is clean and well maintained The pool area is a gem in the middle of the city Hotel is easy walking distance to cafes, museums, waterfront, etc The food and service in the restaurant were great Outside dining in long, covered porch is lovely, albeit, somewhat noisy with street traffic, but again, it’s in the middle of the city

We were in Tampa for a wedding and stayed three nights in the guest house The guest house was fabulous, lots of space for everyone Main living space was exceptionally nice with river views

The grounds were also very nice We really enjoyed relaxing in the beach lounge chairs and around the fire pit area Unfortunately, we did not have time to kayak or use the pool while there Kris is extremely kind and provided anything we needed Breakfast was excellent and we were offered many choices Loved the homemade muffins, yogurt cups and soufflés

Wendy Imboden

I headed to the Tampa area for an impromptu get-away and much needed rest Stumbled on Riverbend Retreat’s website and booked a week stay I cannot speak highly enough about this peaceful retreat

The home and grounds were more than lovely with lush vegetation and spectacular views of the river The rooms were clean, cozy, and very homey Many extra perks included such as timely breakfast each morning and heart warming conversations with the hosts if you choose Kris and Bob have created a restful paradise on every level Will definitely be back!

Kent Misegades

The owners were very friendly and the facilities were delightful It was surprisingly quiet given its proximity to a large metropolitan are, like an oasis Especially Christians will feel at home here – we were invited to attend the owners’ Bible study group from their church which happened to be meeting at the retreat

We made some great new friends and expanded our knowledge of the Bible, in our opinion tremendous perks for staying here We’ll recommend this to fellow Christians for individual or group stays for a few days of peace in turbulent times

CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!! While I’m not one to normally leave a bad review, our stay at the vinoy certainly left a lot to be desired especially given the price At first arrival, we noticed that the hotel was under construction which was not previously disclosed to us The construction was loud and the fitness area was unavailable which was not noted by staff or easily seen on the website (if at all even present) when we booked our room

We were greeted by Susan who was both rude and unprofessional two days in a row So why give it three stars instead of 1? Following these experiences, we did speak to Gabriel the manager who worked to smooth things over The historic hotel is absolutely beautiful even under construction and the accommodations (other than the sound) were great The other staff, specifically Ismail, Marcus, Jimmy, and those at the restaurant went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant Because there was only one “bad apple” and construction was going on, we were encouraged to come back which we will consider because of the people who did enhance our experience

I was here for a conference Wonderful hotel in a nice location in St Petersburg The staff is friendly and nice

The rooms are nice There are two sections: the older original and the newer section While I was here (Mar 2022), the older section had a lot of construction happening I heard they’re updating things to go for a 5 star rating so surely the updates will be worth it

I expected a much better experience At a late night checkin, front desk receptionist argued there’s no way I had a room because they were fully booked After checking, she realized that I did and gave me my key without apologizing! The shower drain in my room was clogged

The safe was not working either To top things off, I found a note in my room saying they will be coming in to upgrade the phone system during the day I called the front desk requesting no one should enter my room in my absence They assured me this won’t happen if I leave the “do not disturb” sign on my door When I returned to my room later that day, I found they had entered and upgraded the phone anyway Finally, I went down to the front desk one night asking if there was a vending machine anywhere, but attendant said “no we don’t have one for guests” I walked away confused thinking “do they have one for staff?” Five minutes later I asked another receptionist who nicely pointed me to the vending machine! I’m not sure about the quality of the training here, especially night shift It’s a shame!
