The hotel is extremely clean and quiet The beds were exceptionally comfortable The staff was very professional, warm, welcoming and friendly

The grounds are well kept and the restaurant has very good food I had the pesto chicken sandwich and it was actually amazing Would definitely recommend renting a car and driving to the state parks and walking through the forest

Jane Malo

Overall very nice stay Staff was friendly and welcoming Room was very clean and beds were comfortable

Nice convenient location Only suggestion is to avoid a room overlooking the bar/open lobby There was a very loud party happening in the bar and even though our room was on a higher floor, the laughing/screaming echoes up the open foyer Not the fault of the hotel, and I’m happy those guests were able to enjoy themselves, but had a long, early drive in the morning and they made it difficult to sleep

Tim Gladwin

Room was decent size and very clean There was a bit of noise from the pool (during the day) and from doors closing down the hall, but we slept well Bathroom ventilation didn’t seem to be working too well but no sign of mold

Reported it to the desk and they were checking it out Very handy to the Luther Burbank Center Good breakfast Ok recommend this hotel

Samantha Stadtler

The front desk woman was rude to not only me, but the bride and groom who brought in a large group of guests She was extremely unhelpful, snippy, and hostile When I went to pay for my room, she gave me a total and no explanation as to why it was $200 more than what I was told on the phone

When I asked why, she threw up her hands and yelled for Tom (I assume he’s the manager) and promptly walked away and into the bathroom Tom was great about explaining the extra charges, which took roughly 30 seconds of his time, I paid and went to my room I know the same woman was unhelpful when another member of the party asked where parking was, she pointed in a general direction and then turned and walked away without actually supplying helpful information I also walked in on her being rude to the groom who was attempting to check in on a guest that requires extra attention due to a disability If it was one incident, maybe chalk it up to a bad day, but this happened over several days and with multiple people The hotel was also not busy, so that can’t be an excuse either Overall, the hotel was okay, nothing overly outstanding and the staff was rude With the option to stay in updated hotels in the area that are in the same proximity and cost the same or less, I would absolutely not recommend anyone stay in this hotel Especially if you’re getting married and bringing in a large group

Richard Bedal

We recently stayed at this hotel for two nights Check-in was excellent and all the staff we dealt with were helpful and friendly It is an excellent location with great nearby restaurants, including its own Grossman’s restaurant

Parking was convenient and they let us keep our bikes in the room The bed was very comfortable, and after we figured out the heating/air-conditioning, the room was delightful

Gigi Baron

I have been here 4 times, all in the Carriage House which I prefer The first time I stayed in an upstairs room with big windows with no shades on Wilson St The room was cute but at night lights streamed in the big windows and the street noise from cars, garbage collection and leaf blowers in the early hours was maddening! Wilson St is very noisy!! I changed to a downstairs room off the street and this was fine

I was able to ask for and stay in similar downstairs rooms on the next two visits The last visit I again asked for one of these rooms and was told “no problem” When I checked in I was told by the desk attendant that the room wasn’t available and I was given an upstairs room instead What? I complained and she said “We don’t guarantee specific rooms” She could not tell me why the room was changed I was very unhappy but she was disinterested The room turned out to be OK but it definitely is noisier in the upstairs rooms When I checked out I again questioned this policy of changing rooms and was told “We don’t guarantee specific rooms” This attendant was also disinterested and unapologetic SoI won’t be returning here since I only want to stay in the downstairs rooms off the street And I guess I can’t trust that I’ll get the room I asked for

This hotel is fantastic I love the update retro decor The room was clean, the bed was really comfortable and loved all the pillows to sink into

The staff was really friendly and it is in a great location I loved the water machines and they offer GOOD coffee in the mornings Will definitely stay here again when in the area and look forward to checking out the heated pool as others seemed to be enjoying

1960’s Las Vegas time warp, with a dose of kitschy mixed in That being said this resort atmosphere is not for everyone, especially if you’re looking for a quiet romantic stay When we arrived, there were long lines in the lobby and I felt like I was at a convention

Turned out there were a couple of big events going on that day a memorial service at one end of the building and a loud reunion outside their huge swimming and lounges area We were told the events would end soon, but in reality the reunion party continued on through the night The best part of our stay was at the restaurant Delicious food and service was excellent Somehow it felt separate from all the craziness going on about us A huge pool surrounded by lounge chairs with maximum capacity people sitting on the chairs, as well as splashing in the pool After dinner I asked where the jacuzzi was, and a friendly staff managing towel service directed me past a large Alice in Wonderland gray chair with a flamingo painted on it Unfortunately, the jacuzzi too was at maximum capacity So we opted to head to our room There was no number on the door to our room, which was puzzling to say the least, and we ended up having to walk all the way around the resort to find our way in The room was spartan, like a monk’s cell, and a table but no chairs Bottom line is sadly, this resort was not worth the price we paid

Coco O

The room is not updated 100% They upgraded the bathroom, room partition, bedding linens The doors, wall, baseboard, and carpet were aged

The pool area is nice with 3ft-9th pool Kids enjoyed the pool a lot I waited forever for the server to take my order, but never came Other servers came by and told me a few times that my server will come She never did I ended up going to the bar and ordered coffee to go instead of having a full breakfast No pool towels between 9pm-10pm Pool closes at 10pm so I asked for some towels only to never come Walked back to my room soak and dripping ☹️ I don’t think I’ll be back

Pros:1 Breakfast tastes amazing2 Beautiful Views3

Accommodating4 Clean/sanitary5 Gave good local recommendationsCons:1 The website is misleading (“A Full Freshly prepared Seasonal Breakfast served table service when YOU are ready to greet the world”) When we asked for breakfast at 7:30am instead of 9:00am, they said they could only give us a “light breakfast”2 Breakfast at 9:00am is late3 Bed was hard, and our backs hurt through the stay4 The chef was arguing with the other owner loudly while we were having breakfast just outside the swinging kitchen door It made breakfast awkward5 Walls are thin, we could hear people talking at a normal tone in other rooms

Katie Greer

The carriage house was exactly what we hoped for Relaxing, peaceful and private It’s also very comfortable

The bed and pillows are 5 stars for comfort We slept soundly each night Coffee was at our door every morning by 7am The first morning was cool enough to light the fireplace while we enjoyed our coffee and watched the sunrise Breakfast each morning was perfectly prepared with the freshest ingredients They were the best meals we had during our stay Late afternoons we enjoyed a cheese and fruit plate on the private patio with a glass of wine The Chateau de Vie wine was amazing We had the 2014 Cabernet Peter and Phillipe the perfect hosts The town of Castiloga is quaint with nice shops and plenty of good restaurants Parking was never an issue and the public restrooms were clean and conveniently located

Daniel Podratsky

Chateau de Vie as everything that makes B&Bs so great Cozy atmosphere, phenomenal hosts, great location, and everything you could need to be comfortable The property itself is perfect – a quaint chateau dropped in the middle of a vineyard with plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors (including a pool)

Rooms are big enough and provide a great night sleep Leave your window cracked and in the morning wake up to the cool misty air overlooking the vines Breakfast is served at your leisure and cooked to perfection Don’t skip a bottle of their own Cabernet in the afternoons – it was actually one of our favorites during our entire trip to Napa!

Eric

Very mixed stay at this Marriott property Room was nice and overall staff was helpful However, two exchanges left me feeling quite under-valued during this stay

First issue: when calling the front desk to ask for room slippers and a hot water kettle, I was told the hotel doesn’t have these items The front desk then said, “I guess you are used to a full service hotel” For the price and brand, I had assumed this was a full service hotelNote: the front desk did go out and get a kettle (thank you!), but the comment was quite strange and disconcertingSecond issue: I called down to housekeeping to request the room be turned Front desk again responded, “Did you already request a room turn? We have over 100 rooms to do today, so I’ll see if we can get to yours” Again, this is a minimum level of service expected at a hotel Not sure why they thought saying this was okayNote: when we left the room, the housekeeper in the hallway asked very politely if we wanted service That was the kind of experience I was expecting!Otherwise, the cafe was quite nice and location was very convenient I would stay again, but I hope the staff is a little better in communicating

This team is amazing We had such a good time here ALL staff members were excellent!!!Val, Sarah, Sam, etc

I’ve been coming to California for work a lot more recently, and I decided to try Marriott Mainly because they had a hot tub People at the front desk were so friendly, laid-back, and it was comforting after an eight hour travel day

The burger in the bistro was one of the best burgers I have ever had, and I am a hell of a cook and I’m very impressedI cant wait to stay again!

This hotel was very beautiful! The bed and pillows were comfortable, the bathroom was a good size It’s not a huge room, but it didn’t need to be, we weren’t spending all of our time in there! But plenty of room for 2 people to get ready for a weddingThe staff was top notch!! I have traveled all over and this staff was very friendly, and went above and beyond for us many times

They gave us wonderful recommendations on places to visit, places to eat, and even helped us with booking a wine tasting for a large group I couldn’t have been happier

Tiffany

This place is wonderful The employees who work here are very welcoming Our toiletries were stolen on our way to the hotel and the staff (Aaron, Tiffeny and Lisa) were so accommodating with whatever travel items they had to give us

They made us feel at home, made us laugh and cheered us up after a bad situation The room was very clean, well maintained and charming The bed and pillows were comfy The hotel is situated right in the downtown area, so you could walk to the brewery (I recommend Russian River) at night and breakfast spots in the morning (I recommend Land & Water) Next time I’m in the area, I’ll definitely be staying here!

meghan green

Walking in to this hotel is a little confusing as the entry doors take you to a set of stairs and the real lobby is off to the right which also acts as the bar When we got into the room the first thing I noticed was how small it was I stayed in a corner room on the 4th floor

There was plenty of light and windows and the room was very clean and updated/modern The shower was fantastic but I could live without the window in there Really comfortable bed and good air conditioning It was very loud however due to the location of the building But with that location comes great shopping and food right outside I enjoyed this little transformed courthouse

The staff is extremely friendly and professional Shop rates online as they go very high at peak times Free parking around the perimeter of the hotel but it does get busy and you have to search for a spot at times Costco is located right down the street in case you need supplies Only about 3 minutes from the freeway on ramps and there is even a local pie shop / diner open 24 hours nearby Also located very near the casino

Stayed here for a couple of nights while our house was being worked on Very minimal “business center” while we were there No printer and front desk clerk was unhelpful

Rooms were nice though there was a problem with the door Five stars for the bar service No breakfast or microwave during our stay 35 overall but rounded up for bar employee Would not stay here to conduct business

We didn’t stay at the resort, we just ate at the restaurant The service was excellent Staff saw us to a table without any wait

They took our order very quickly Our drinks and food were delivered expeditiously My beer (Racer 5 IPA from Bear Republic Brewing) was delicious The appetizer was delicious, although I don’t remember what they called it All in all, a pleasant way to spend an hour chatting with relatives

Boomer

The Front Room is the best bar/lounge in West County with a special nod to their bartenders Friendly, courteous, professional and they make the best espresso martini you’ve ever had And the fact they have Blind Pig on tap is just a bonus

Did I mention Happy Hour 5 days a week? I would give it a higher rating, but I’m limited to only 5

B ST

So beautiful, everyone is really niceThe restaurant is B U L L S H I TPortions are small, price is through the roof, frozen “country potatoes”

Their restaurant business model is simpleSpend all the money to make it look as nice as possible, charge based on how fancy it looks, and give college kids a microwave to cookSo horrible, but nice people and beautiful location

Oh gosh this place was truly magical We stayed for two nights and wow I never wanted to leave! The grounds are absolutely stunning Our room with the pool view balcony was adorable and we loved the fireplace

I felt like we were in Tuscany The breakfast was great to have in the room, the waffle was a little dry but overall good food We were able to drop our bags and then go to a tasting before we checked in They brought our bags to our room My favorite part (sounds silly I know) was probably the heated tile in the bathroom SO amazing! Location is definitely a little far from Napa but worth the drive We will be back

Rene So

Very nice place, very relaxingThe rooms are big enough Air conditioning and heater working perfectly

And the room music system is also goodBut why 3 stars only ?Service is bad Service should be improved Nobody even helps you bring your luggage to your room They just show you where the luggage cart is locatedYou visit the front desk or reception for some inquiry and nobody is thereThe owner / top management need to put more staff We understand the condition now But this hotel is too undermanned

Colton Mojesky

Overall, we had a good experience here The staff are very helpful and the grounds are beautiful While our room was nice, it was essentially located in the parking lot (room 9), which was very disappointing

All of the other rooms were in much better locations If you stay here, I would specifically request not to stay in this room Also, there is a complimentary wine and cheese hour, but the wine was unfortunately very low end, not what I would expect at this type of hotel located in wine country

Ethan Bachmann

The reception area is beautiful and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable We stayed in the room with the stone soaking tub and it was gorgeous, the ambiance was perfect, and the tub was every we had hopedThe sake and wine offerings were a great touch

I loved sampling different sake and my wife loved sampling the different winesWe went here for our mini-moon but will certainly be back!

Walead Esmail Rath

The staff are wonderful but the place itself is a bit rundown and just not at all what you’d expect for the price The sound privacy in our room was bad (we could hear people in the hallway and on the street), the breakfast was half a step up from what you’d get at a hotel buffet, and the grounds are just very basic The rooms are priced like a luxury resort but what you get is very just ok

We were disappointed

Good location but severely poor service Front desk barely new what they were doing except to say hello In middle of my stay my room was extended another night and when I returned to the room things had been rearranged and moved while I had a do not disturb sign on the door

I was advised that I would receive additional point for the problem and they apologized and said it was noted in my account After checkout and receiving my regular point they did not show up I called the hotel and they said the person that told me that no longer works there and they would follow up to make it right and give me the points A month later and I have not received them Not AC quality for Bonvoy brand

While the hotel can be hard to find if you don’t knoe the area, the hotel itself was amazing Friendly staff, pretty good breakfast, clean room, and quite beautiful The walls are a bit thin, so you can hear people in the hallway and the view was of the car wash and “shady hotel” near by but it made for some fun laughs

Would definitely stay again

This place definitely holds up to every Hampton Inn that I’ve stayed at, it’s excellent The facility is well maintained, the grounds are spotless, and our room was extremely clean My favorite part about staying here is the incredible staff

Rian and Minette gave us superior quality customer service, and helped us make sure our kid and dogs were happy, and settled Our stay was lovely, and we will definitely be back

Hotel nice and staff friendly; However, my car was targeted in parking lot a nasty disparaging racist note was left on it ,spit on my windshield and scratched, I reported It to staff on duty but I dont feel like they offered much help especially since I’m a frequent Hilton proprietor I recommend this location get a night time attendant to do parking lot rounds since the homeless and drug user population has noticeably increased in this area

The front desk clerk was amazing He was clear, thoughtful, and welcoming The breakfast was not stocked very well

The housekeeper we had was rude I left her a tip and instead of saying thank you she said oh where is it and when I told her she said fine and went straight to our room to get it I tried to find the managers email so I could let her know what happened and I could not find it so I decided to do a review I looked all over their website for it

I’ve stayed at La Quinta Santa Rosa several times in the past The hotel itself is fine but parking has always been a problem The parking space is small and tight and there always seems to be a lot of gigantic construction vehicles parked there

So they addressed the problem by charging guests $10/night to park there That’s right – when you arrive to check in, there is a sign at the desk announcing that there is a charge to park It’s not like you have any choice but to pay it And then you get to go back out to your car to put the parking pass on the dashboard so that you don’t get towedWhat’s next – a charge to use the elevator? I won’t be staying at this La Quinta Inn again
