When it comes to the name and reputation of The Graduate, I would expect more for what it’s worth They don’t tell you at booking it’s $28 (a DAY) for required valet parking, unless you park a block and a half down the street Plus add on the additional tip for the valet guy each time they fetch your car
The room is super small Bathroom door slides shut and locks with a peg, and good luck getting blinded at night in the bathroom there’s no nightlightIt’s $5 for a bottle of water in your room The TV only gets twenty channels There’s no vending machines in the hotel, and no room service The room doesn’t even have info about the hotelFor a small mixed drink, like a Jack and Coke at the Saloon, it’s $11 The bar in the hotel isn’t even open except for an expensive breakfast, while the Saloon doesn’t open until 5pmHighly disappointed with The Graduate
Jennifer Kerhoulas
The location is in the middle of town within walking distance to a lot of businesses After we checked in and went to our room, I discovered a problem with our room I went to get help from a housekeeper who was down the hall
Rachel was amazing! She went and got management and they both took care of the problem promptly and was very apologetic Great service! The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable! Would recommend!
Julie Junge
The hotel is nice, very eccentric Not really any big complaints about the room other than there is no coffee maker and the water pressure is pretty bad But to share our experience at the Saloon 16 bar
we went earlier in the day, all was great Service was impeccable Went back tonight after the Brooks and Dunn concert for a nightcap The waitress was the worse we have ever encountered I told her what I would like, she said I don’t think we have that I say you did this afternoon My husband then asks for a scotch She has this attitude like I don’t know what we have and if you want to know you need to go ask the bartender yourself I then said if you don’t have my first choice, bring me this Then u was told the same thing he was My husband walked up to the bar to look, couldn’t get any attention from anyone around the bar We then proceed to walk out

I say this with complete honesty that is undoubtedly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in We entered to a large parking lot with plenty of space (Tesla and handicap parking as well) and took in a huge Christmas themed building The inside is decorated from top to bottom with Christmas decor and has the most wonderful scent of the holiday season
I thought the trees may be dusty or tacky but everything was truly clean as could be and very in styleThe rooms were beautiful and immaculately clean! I’ve never stayed somewhere so clean and polishedEvery morning you can visit with Santa downstairs and enjoy a wonderful complimentary breakfast that features an omelet bar, waffle station, continental buffet, and more Sit outside and enjoy the beautiful courtyard!Every evening there’s complimentary cookies at the front desk and coffee/lemonade served daily all day in the lobby Try their signature flavor, you won’t regret it!We absolutely cannot wait to come back to the amazing gem of a hotel

The indoor and outdoor pools are fun with the slide Free coffee and lemonade all day Freshly baked cookies every day at 8pm The two room suites are especially nice with a kitchen and large Christmas tree

The Lodge at Five Oaks is incredible We were evacuated from our cabin at Brother’s Cove during the Hatcher mountain fire and we were frantic to find another place to stay as we were evacuated while we were at our wedding reception and we had a larger party with us who were all also staying at Brother’s Cove The folks at the Lodge at Five Oaks were so helpful and so kind to us
They made sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable Housekeeping cleaned our rooms daily and when we walked the halls someone always greeted us We will be staying here again when we visit Tennessee! It is also very conveniently located which is a major plus!

We booked our room about a week out and the prices were very good for the area on a weekend Location was about 10 miles from Gatlinburg but had plenty of wonderful things around it to do and a fabulous restaurant next door for an excellent farm breakfast! The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious with nice showers Pool had a small slide to kerp the kids busy and happy too!

The hotel is clean and well cared for The staff are very professional Chris, a bar tender was very fun and helpful
The hotel is within walking distance of anything you’d want to do in the downtown area There is a rooftop seating area with a fire pit The only downside is if you miss the specific times of breakfast and dinner, there are no other options for coffee or a quick bite to eat in the hotel
Adam Taylor
I stayed here for a weekend back in July utilizing points from traveling over 200+ days a year for my job I went into my room to find one of the windows completely busted out and covered in cardboard and black bags I reported it to the staff and they acted like they had no idea about it when clearly somebody on their maintenance team was correcting an issue
They didn’t offer me a different room, they didn’t even come up to the room to see what I was talking about (since they had no idea about it) All they said was they would write it down After checking out I contacted the manager and she even acted as if there wasn’t even a note about the stay/ room She said she would reimburse me my points and I should see them back on my account the next day This was over 3 weeks ago and still no reimbursed points If you are in Knoxville and specifically the downtown area there are much better hotels in the area
Jason Green
Cigarette butts all over the ground in the front The bed on the room is facing the window, instead of being on the biggest wall, which is very awkward The shower has very little pressure, the water barely got up to a full stream but mostly just drips out of the shower head
The TV remote is terrible There’s no pool Will not stay here again There’s slightly better places for the same price

This is the best hotel I have stayed in in many years Yes, the rooms are awesome and the shower is amazing but the real secret is the people They are amazing
They are always smiling, they never say no, they make you feel at home I cannot say enough about it Not ONCE did they blame COVID for anything They just got the job done!! My hats off to the employees who made the stay amazing and to the leadership who have obviously figured out how to instill the desire to create a world class Customer experience in every associate

I’ll list the good things first: room was clean, valets were polite and front desk people were polite Now for the bad: the older man we were greeted by was polite, but seemed very snooty and stuck up Just because you’re in a black suit doesn’t mean you have to act as though you’re better than everyone else
He asked for a card for incidentals but failed to mention there would be a 100 dollar hold until after I had given him the card If I had known about the hold I would have just given a credit card instead of a debit card When we got to the room I immediately noticed that the side table was damaged, the reading light didn’t work on one side of the bed, there were various dings on the closet doors and all around the room and worst of all the TV wasn’t working I asked for a new remote which never showed up even though they insisted one had been left so we had to let an “engineer” into our room to reset the TV due to a power outage earlier that day I would have preferred that was done before we checked in We also found black mold on the shower head This did not feel like a 4 star hotel, in fact I’ve had stays that were just as pleasant for half the price The view was also not great at all The bed was a little hard and the room was hot the entire time we were there despite turning the thermostat down as low as it would go I didn’t complain about any of these things because it was only a one night stay, but people deserve to know what they’re actually getting Yes the hotel is nice with some “luxury” finishes but it is poorly done and apparently poorly maintained
Chase
Great Hotel and staff We were highly impressed with all services inside the Hotel Ed, the concierge, was excellent
He was very professional and had great recommendations The food was terrific, both breakfast and dinner The room was very clean, and they stayed on top of cleaning the room We only left for a few hours, and the room had been cleaned again The only thing that was disappointing was the valet parking Pulled into the valet parking opened the door; thennothing I had to ask them if they would take the car, then they didn’t even offer to help with the bags The next day I asked for the car; it was 37 degrees out, pulled it up, and had the a/c on Now I know people have bad days, and maybe this was one of those, so needless to say, we will be back and continue to recommend this hotel

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay at Inn on the River! The employees behind the desk at check-in were super friendly and helpful The rooms were clean and had recently been renovated We totally felt comfortable in the room
Our room was on the river side which made for a beautiful setting to sit on our balcony talking while watching the river and ducks It’s in a great location I can’t sleep on all mattresses but this one was comfortable Kudos to the person who chose these My daughter’s major is in Interior Design and she loved the lobby- she said it was very aesthetically pleasing 👍I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Mackenzie Bradley
Overall, our experience at The Inn on the River was great I cancelled another reservation I had previously to stay here instead The location was great, despite being in a very busy and touristy location
My husband and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony facing the river and watching the ducks, geese, and squirrels The breakfast served was good, and the kitchen staff was very friendly and helpful They asked numerous times if they could take our plates out of the way, even though they didn’t have to I’ve never experienced this at a hotel breakfast There were many special touches like nightly popcorn, specially folded towels, and a call to make sure we liked our room after arriving There was plenty of room to park as wellI gave The Inn on the River four stars instead of five due to my disappointment in the housekeeping After our first day, we came back to a room that was not cleaned I called the front desk and they told me that they weren’t doing housekeeping everyday I was a little disappointed considering how much we paid for our room However, we were reassured that we could have daily housekeeping from that point forward The staff handled our concerns well and we had no issues receiving housekeeping after that call However, the housekeeping we received for the rest of the stay was nothing special I only noticed the replacement of towels, sheets, and trash bags There was no vacuuming, wiping of counters and mirrors, replacement of soap, etc Considering how much we spent to stay here, I was very disappointed in the lack of attention to detail in housekeeping We would’ve appreciated the same attention to detail found throughout the rest of the hotel For example, upon leaving, I found trash from the people who stayed previously behind the couch This should have been taken care ofWhat this hotel does well:• Great customer service• Special amenities such as cookies, nightly popcorn, specially folded towels, etc• Nicely decorated guest rooms and common areas• Spacious parking• Fast and easy check-in and check-out• Discount for military service• Good breakfast and friendly kitchen staff• Jacuzzi was nice and in a completely separate room inside our room• Areas to walk outside and enjoy natureRoom for improvement:• Improved housekeeping (also inform guests up front if housekeeping services will not be performed daily)• Slight adjustments to hotel security— I didn’t see any cameras in the stairwells Perhaps there are some and I didn’t see them, but I was uncomfortable walking in the stairwells alone There was a sign next to the outdoor pool saying that the doors would be kept locked at all times, but they were not The latch to our balcony would not work (didn’t think to say anything because the lock worked)• Cleaner washers in the laundry room The washers had an odd odor to them and there was hair/fur/lint caked under the plastic

We are gold elite members so we’ve stayed in a lot of Marriott’s over the years and I think this is the worst room we’ve ever had We stayed in room 237 We needed to use the sofa bed
When we opened it we found disgusting sheets that had not been changed There was a giant yellow stain in the middle of the bed liked someone had peed there On top of that there were other smaller stains all along the top and bottom corner of the sheets, like makeup stains or something So gross no one even checked to see if the sofa sheets needed to be changed Our room reeked of some odor I cannot identify It wasn’t cigarette smoke, which is good, but it was strong whatever it was The locking mechanism on our door was not working properly so every time we used the door you had to be sore to check the door and manually fix the lock so the door would actually latch shut Huge safety concern Overall if was not a good experience, but I will say the staff was friendly and quick to change the dirty sheets, and the pool area was nice & clean We will not be re-visiting this hotel
Eric Little
I stayed here seven weeks in May-June 2022 The young lady on second shift was on point, very friendly But the first shift lady was awful and got me kicked out because I wanted to change rooms
When I had different reservations And then she charged me for the room anyways She’s awful and unfriendly and does not have people skills And her manager/owner supports her She is so awful she is worth going across the street to Best Western instead They were very friendly and their breakfast was good The breakfast at this place was Minimal They say COVID but we all know it’s because they are cheap I would avoid this hotel at all costs

All employees are very friendly Stayed just one night on road trip from Maryland to Texas Beds very comfortable and enjoyed being able to set air conditioner to desired temperature
Hot water was quick to turn on in the shower and awesome that the shower had shampoo, conditioner and body wash available Didn’t do breakfast because we slept in late But coffee and water available in the morning

Overall one of the nicer places in Knoxville Located in a good area within walking distance to all the attractions of downtown Lobby is nice, but certain employees were rude
Was downstairs and lady demanded that I show her my room key While I was looking for it I explained to her what room number and last name, she continued to rudely demand to see the room key It was a little awkward being that there were other people there but she continued to watch over my party the entire time Housekeeping staff was all really nice The rooftop bar is set up nice and the happy hour from 5-7 was a good deal for the price per night The breakfast in the morning was possibly the worst system I’ve ever seen It’s almost like a school lunch line, with a nasty red haired lady screaming at everyone as soon as you enter the breakfast area (which doesn’t have enough seating so you’ll be forced to take your food to go even though there’s an entire balcony section closed off) Without failure every time we went to get breakfast this woman would be yelling either at my party or another party Was disappointing to wake up to Overall rooms were clean and beautiful hotel just some of the staff def need customer service training
Amber Bush
The best part of this hotel is the catering and events staff We were hosting my sister’s wedding and the gentlemen who oversaw the catering as well as his team were absolutely amazing They were also the same team that was serving breakfast the next morning
They were INCREDIBLY helpful and accommodating They made up for the check-in experience that we had I cannot speak more highly of the catering and events staffI will say the elevators were the worst part of my stay Several of them did not work so the wait to take an elevator was extremely long We often took the stairs since we were on the 4th floorThe view from the rooftop lounge was beautiful and was perfect for outdoor photos Breakfast was great (also because of the food service /wait staff) and so was the happy hour optionWe had a king suite and it was spacious but we did find some leftover snacks & receipts from the previous guest in the drawers I would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity
Tiffanie Reed
I travel a ton with our gymnastics team and I am in charge of booking rooms for our staff This was the best embassy suites we have ever stayed in! Totally top ratings across the board Breakfast staff was so welcoming and went over and beyond to accommodate our needs
So clean! Very NEW hotel You will definitely get a good nights sleep in those comfy beds too I’m sure I can speak of 100 more things, but definitely the way to go in Knoxville, Tn Thanks staff for an awesome experience

We have been staying at Oak Haven for 18 years The cabins are always very clean and decorated beautifully The resort is so beautiful as well
You always know what you’re getting when you stay here The staff is always very kind and helpful The rates are more reasonable then some of the other companies near by If we could recommend one cabin that is out of this world with Mountain Views and somewhat private it would be cabin 81 3 bedroom 3 bath and absolutely gorgeous!! You will not be disappointed!

We were looking for something that had the secluded feel but still close to everything for our anniversary – Oak Haven delivered It was easy to book, and the staff was very kind We stayed in cabin 99 and the view was great
This cabin also has an upstairs pool table which was so much fun The cabin was clean and had everything we needed I would highly recommend for your next couples or family trip

This hotel takes clean to a whole new level, it is immaculate and very inviting We felt very relaxed being here There are plenty of amenities, but we enjoyed sitting around the fireplace in the lobby
The staff is top tier, everyone was welcoming and accommodating The staff all seemed happy too, which goes a long way in making guests feel at home I stay in Marriott properties 6 months out of the year, and this is in my top 3 favorite locations Keep up the great work! We will be back!

I was blown away at how wonderful my experience was here! Compared to what other hotels and lodges look like in the area and how touristy it is here, this one was not tacky at all and felt very mature and comfy The pools were awesome, the huge bonfire in the back was really nice, and the room was spacious Even the bathroom and shower were bigger than most other hotels I’ve been to
It felt luxurious considering my budget but didn’t break the bank They have a nice military discount tooThe only complaint is that there is no complementary breakfast and the cafe serving Starbucks is closed by 10am which is a little early in my opinion when people like me want to sleep in on my vacation haha! But there are many breakfast and coffee places just blocks away, we often didn’t drive more than 5 minutes to get to every restaurant we wanted to visit Definitely book your stay here!!

I am a very seasoned Marriott customer and Bonvoy Member and have stayed in Marriott properties all over the US from top tier to lower tier This Courtyard Marriott is fantastic Clean (they scent the inside and it smells delightful), beautiful interiors and exterior
They have a bar in the lobby that also serves coffee on the morning and food to go that was very convenient The lazy river and the fire pit outdoors were great It’s right next to the river and saw lots of kids playing in it and adults sitting on camping chairs in it fishing as well 2 different kinds of fruit water each day in front of the elevators that was great Rooms were nice and updated Kudos to the property manager here You’re doing a great job We will hands down stay here each time we’re in town

This is a great hotel with friendly staff One of the few pet friendly hotels we could find memorial day weekend and it turned out great! I wish breakfast was included even at the basic price level which was probably elevated due to the holiday weekend I loved the indoor pool, outdoor pool with water slide, and outdoor jacuzzi
The fire pit is beautiful at night I will certainly keep this hotel in mind for my next stay in Pigeon Forge

Front desk personnel very helpful and friendly Rooms where nice but not much lighting Toilets in bathroom seen extremely low
Nice pool hard to enjoy too many kids Restaurant and bar operated on very limited hours closing very early It’s a vacation resort Who wants to go to bed at 8 pm In defense of the hotel, many restaurants, bars and business in Gatlingburg close extremely early for a Vacation town So be prepared for a early turn in
