The owners Kenny and Leslie are very accommodating The rooms were fantastic and comfortable we are still talking about how good the breakfast was It is very close to AOAA which is why we picked to stay here unfortunately we had to leave early to get home because we just had enough of ridding and wanted to get home it’s to bad because we were looking forward to the French toast and great coffee and playing with the dog, we would definitely stay again

Owners are very pleasant & easy to talk to and the home is very quaint and quiet The owners are doing some renovations at the moment to keep the home in its original style which is great The beds are comfortable and breakfast was fantastic! Perfect location for anyone going to AOAA or just staying the the Shamokin Area

Unfortunately we cut our trip short a night but I highly recommend checking this place out!

We just stayed at Trails End for our trip to AOAA The owners, Leslie and Ken, were so friendly and welcoming, the house was very clean, and the breakfasts were amazing Our room had access to a living room and kitchen, with a Keurig and mini fridge, and Ken is building an outdoor kitchen that we cannot wait to get back to see

Jack the fur baby is also sure to keep you entertained We would definitely stay again!

This place is beautiful affordable and its like having a home away from home The rooms are huge I would deff stay here again

The owner is a nice guy very accommodating I booked the pecan sweet i think it was called and we had a living room with a eat in kitchen A second living room with a pull out sofa And a hug bedroom with two queen beds and two walk in closets There was also a beautiful balcony This place is two victorian homes combined and the ceilings are high Its decorated with history every room is very specious And the best part is its kid friendly There is lots of parking and its close to all the stores Everything is walking distance This place will not disappoint

It’s a beautiful place to stay with on-street parking Dave was a gracious, easy-going host There aren’t many places in Shamokin where you can stay overnight, and as my spouse was in the hospital for a few days, I needed a place where I felt safe, comfortable, and could rest after long days at a hospital bedside

Breakfast is mainly continental style with cold cereals, fresh fruit, muffins, juice and coffee Additional beverages were available for free I loved the look and feel of the whole house, and the bathroom attached to my room was huge! It was also warm and inviting — quite a surprise given the general appearances of the town as a whole I’d stay here again in a heartbeat

This was an overnight stop for us in our 38′ Class A If you are coming from the interstate, take heed of the speed warnings The entrance to the campground is on a road with a 9% downhill grade

Even in low gear, my brakes were getting quite warmThe park is awesome, as are the staff The sites were level, clean and gravel There appear to be a handful of permanent residents but there are plenty of daily rental sites Sites were well set up with utilities easily within reach and water quality was good The camp store had everything you could possibly need, from locally grown and butchered meats to fishing wormsWhile there, we visited the Pioneer Tunnel, a steam locomotive ride with some local history and a tour of a coal mine Highly recommended

Family and I just finished up a week rental in the dolphin cove cabins with some friends We have been going there the last three years but for some reason the water this year in the cabins had a yellow tint to it We were also shocked that the pedal bike policy had changed

Last couple of years we were able to rent and keep them for the week but this year had to check in every hour and return every night We were also surprised to see the place is under new ownership and will be interested to see what changes are made if any and upgrades Having said all that we love going there and all the activities and hope to keep it a yearly vacation spot, as long as the price doesn’t get to out of control and they offer specials, that’s a big selling point

We were supposed to check-in on a Friday, but due to scheduling conflict with sports, we weren’t able to arrive until Saturday I called ahead several weeks prior and spoke to 2 different people who stated that it was not an issue and we could check-in on Saturday When I arrived Saturday afternoon, I was greeted by a rude lady in the office, who was chewing her gum like a cow, and told me with an attitude “we don’t have Saturday check-ins

” I told her that I had called ahead and got it cleared with several people, and was told they would make a note of it on my reservation Shortly after, while I was still in the office checking-in, another woman comes through the door yelling at me that I have to drive 5 miles an hour and if I don’t I’ll be kicked out because I would be driving past the playground and there are kids everywhere She continued on giving me a hard time saying that this “is why we don’t do Saturday check-ins” This employee continued to berate me as I went to get a bag of ice that I had purchased, and then proceeded to follow me to my truck until I finally had enough, and as she said “I’m not mad at you, but this is why we don’t allow Saturday check-ins”, I asked her “then why are you giving me a hard time?”, to which she finally left me alone I made it to my spot without running anyone over, meanwhile cars and golf-carts were flying around the campground all weekend long going well over 5 MPH, while kids were out then, so what was the big issue with me arriving on Saturday?Rude staff I have been to plenty of campgrounds and have never been treated like this I will not be returning

I have been coming here this is my 3rd year here and the past two years I’ve loved it This year I loved it too but the water at the showers makes my hair very hard and greasy And the water that had come out of my spicket was orange

I love it here but for staying a week it’s hard to get over the fact I can’t even brush my hair I still love it lots though

Great place for families The playground equipment is awesome for the kids The creek is a lot of fun

Close to Knoebels, about a 2 min drive I only have 2 small complaints #1 there are only 2 cheap park benches near playground to sit and watch your kids play They look like if you sat on them they would break #2 the mats they have in the showers have these little bumps on them that hurt your feet

Very beautiful locationsites were level and ours had a nice concrete parking pad and patio Staff was very friendly

They had very enjoyable activities planned for kids and adults I loved the rec room with books provided and a large tv with DVDs you could rent The bathhouse was very clean Water was hot The only cons are that the sites are tight with people behind you and on either side The roads are narrow and was a little hard to back into sitethe pool was small but the area was clean and the kids enjoyed it We will definately return

We didn’t get in until dark and have never been to this campground before We recently purchased our camper so we are still very new at this A nice couple on a golf cart came and helped us to our spot

We stayed a long weekend and I almost cried leaving This campground was perfectly small and beautifully located on the river Our 2 small children ages 8 and 5 enjoyed the freedom of running loose to the playground and we enjoyed a few drinks and some quiet We spent a day at knoebels and a day visiting the deer farm The activities at the campground were amazing and everyone was so nice We are hoping to return next year for a full week

Our family stayed at Fantasy Island Campground over the 4th of July weekend This campground is a friendly family oriented campground right on the Susquehanna River The staff and campers are very friendly

There are activities for the kids, and adults There was a great band (Deuce) that played Saturday eveningIts been years since we’ve been to this campground Its every bit as fun, friendly, and relaxing as it was when we were seasonal campers here 10 years ago

Driving from NY to Chicago started out very tired Needed a place for a few hours to crash out Way off the highway, smelled bad in the room

Mold smell Hallway smelled like pot Probably had bed bugs, but didn’t check I stayed a few hours and went and slept in the car I wouldn’t stay here again unless I was desperate This hotel just sucked Probably one of the worst hotels I have seen Staff was nice

Courtney Gordon

Very disgusting ended up not staying here after getting there! Rooms smelled like pot, and mold, had bugs flying around, the sealings in hall way were half falling down with buckets in the hallways, bugs in the pictures in the room, burn holes in bed linins, carpets were never even vaccumed, i could go on and on The manager was very rude and wouldn’t refund the money that paid for the rooms even though it was refundable!!! Dont waste your time or money it gross and filthy and needs to be shut down ASAP!!!
