We came to the hotel with a large group of teens for a Robotics Competition The hotel was so friendly and accommodating! We came back and used the lobby area for dinner on Saturday night I always feel a little concerned because it is a lot of kids and a lot of food

The attendant at the front desk was more than helpful-she asked if we needed plates, utensils, serving pieces, she was wonderful! She also knew we had a large group of kids and had gone out during the day and purchased some games for the hotel to keep so that our kids would have something to do in the evening! I can not thank her enough or recommend this place enough Thank you!

We stayed here in August 2021 for a wedding There are no bells and whistles, but it is what it is We always bring our own cleaning products, which we did have to use particularly in the bathroom

They offer free breakfast with your normal options of bacon, sausage, eggs, waffles and coffee However at least during that time (Covid restrictions I suppose), you have to wait in line and take your breakfast to your room on styrofoam plates Overall this hotel can do better with its appearance At least with our room, the ceiling showed signs of past water damage That should have been taken care before anyone was booked in that room

The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the staff was friendly We wanted to believe the high ratings but that was not our experience The walls are so thin and our neighbor had their tv so high it reverberated in our room, even over a white noise machine turned higher than we use it at home

We called once and the front desk said they’d do something but it wasn’t until 1:30 am when they cut the circuit breaker to get it turned off Why wasn’t that done earlier? It was promptly back on by 8 am, so we got little sleep We were on the third floor and you can also hear interstate traffic whizzing by Not sure if that’s the case on lower levels We will not stay here again If you are a sensitive sleeper, which we must be, probably best to go elsewhere

Our first time staying at a Sleep Inn, and pleasantly surprised: spacious, clean rooms with very comfortable beds Tastefully decorated, too The free breakfast includes waffles, eggs, sausage, cereals, toast, bagles, fruit, yogurts and a variety of juices

Very friendly and professional staff The Mexican restaurant next door gives 10% off for hotel guests and it was excellent A plus for us was windows that opened

Winston Hendricks

I don’t play the race card but I can say it was a nice young African American women who worked here that have the best service I see that she don’t work here any more the rooms smelt like feet and the floor was horrible Bathroom had hair in the tub and in the sink the house keeping here is terrible and they do not consider anyone but the people who are white I said what I said and this hotel don’t never gotta worry about me again thanks

I really enjoyed my stay The staff was kind (Chris was particularly awesome) and the cleaning staff were also very kind I was having issues with my card at some point and a person cleaning the rooms helped me while I got my card key covered

I tried to give her a tip for her service but she wouldn’t take it It is about 30 to 40 minutes away from Raleigh, BUT there are still plenty of eateries and cinema nearby I also enjoyed the hot breakfast AND whatever little towel creature this is! (Yoda perhaps?) So cute! Overall, I would come back here

Simone Fazio

We stopped here for the night in our way to Florida and then again going back home It was a good experience because the hotel is new, in a new area, the room was big with two beds and so much room around, same for the bathroom I need to say the place is really in good conditions

This was the first time for us in a Beat Western Prices are on average, we paid less the first night, something around 40$ cheaper than the second night 19 days later Staff is friendly Lots of restaurants in the area and the Carolina premium outlet is less than 5 minutes far by car

Win Too

First impressions were that the area was safe and inviting The lobby and dining area were neat and clean Our room was clean

The queen beds were soft but comfortable The bathroom was clean and everything was in working order The pool was not open The hot breakfast was very good The staff was cheerful and helpful Plenty of restaurants close by We would definitely stay there again Safe travels!

Upon arrival, check in staff was very rude I don’t know why I continued to be friendly despite the way I was being treated

He just made my whole visit unpleasant On a brighter note My room was clean and my bedding was fresh The bed was comfy I wanted to see if the hotel had a a la carte item for sale, so I called to the front desk to see if they did Once again the same front desk person was rude he assumed I was trying to get a freebie, and rudely explained to me why they couldn’t give that item away I said I wanted to know if there was any u could buy? There wasn’t , which was all he needed to say I guess my profile didn’t meet his standards!Breakfast in the morning was nice a good variety and kept clean The woman was very friendly Upon checkout I was treated much better by a very pleasant woman Thank goodness!I feel if People don’t like people they should not work in customer service!!!!

Very nice, updated hotel The staff were amazing – friendly and knowledgeable We came with a group of 8 teenagers for an event in the area and they had no trouble or complaints with accommodating our group

The breakfast was excellent for a hotel breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised to find bacon on the buffet The rooms themselves were recently updated and very nice and clean Bring your own K-cups for use in the in-room Kuerig Their options on that are limited but available Although we didn’t utilize it, the proximity to a Cracker Barrell (just a hop and skip from the front door) could be an added bonus We will return!

Frank Mohrbutter

I would have given more stars as the room is nice They say they have breakfast but really all it is is the sides that come with a real breakfast No eggs no bacon or sausage

Breakfast is important to me I travel for work and count on a decent breakfast at the hotel so I do t have to stop on the road Cereal and a muffin ain’t cutting it for me To me it’s like saying yes we have dinner and handing you a kids happy meal I have been to other hotels during all these covid protocols and they managed to serve a decent breakfast So if your traveling and want decent breakfast this hotel will leave you looking elsewhere

I stayed on the 3rd floor and was impressed on how clean my room was Kudos to their cleaning team for how clean they keep the rooms I took my two boys to the pool as well and they had fun, the water was a bit cold for them but we got to play for a little

Its in a convenient location from I-95, gas stations, Starbucks, the outlets, and restaurants Golden Corral is within walking distance to the hotel and was actually pretty good when it came to quality of food and cleanliness as far as buffets go If I have any additional planned trips I will definitely stop here again no questions asked

Katelyn Fernandez

Room was extremely clean Elevators ran fast didn’t have to wait forever for a ride The indoor pool room was kept warm which made it more enjoyable for the kids

Small availability of pool towels There was a a gym and the lobby was large and big enough for everyone to have a seat at breakfast I would recommend anyone to stay here over any other hotel in the Smithfield shopping area We will stay here again the next time we need to come to Selma

Derek Boggs

one of the nicest Hampton Inns ive ever stayed at great location close to I-95, the outlet shops, plus tons of food places i love how they have a greeting for you with your name on the TV in the room

the beds where super comfortable and perfect for a nice rest after a long day breakfast was good too just over all a great experience will definitely return next time i need a hotel in the Smithfield area

for a 3 star rated hotel I give them 5 stars The hotel is very clean and updated The location is right off 95

It won’t disappoint The best thing about the hotel is truly the staff Crissi and Sarah both went out of there way to find me a room on the first floor They were super busy at the front desk, but immediately recognize you and attend to your needs Thanks a million ladies

Darcy O’Brien

The hotel itself is decent, clean, the staff is friendly However, the bed (at least ours) was on top of some hollow metal bed frame so every time you move on the bed, the metal below you pops and makes a lot of noise It’s like putting a mattress on a filing cabinet

If you don’t move at all while you sleep, you’ll probably be fine But if you do, or have a dog that might not like the sound (ours was afraid of it), this may not be a place for you The walls are also very thin We could hear people in the shower next door to us & hear their entire conversation I thought they were in the hallway, turns out they were next doorOverall, the hotel is decent and a good location Super easy to get back on the highway if that’s why you’re stopping & staying in Smithfield

hannah

Stayed here for one night on a weekend night passing through from Florida to NY My expectations were higher based on the website/photos We stayed with our two small cats and that was an extra $60 to the rate

The hotel has a nice spacious lobby area The room seemed ok at first but during use it was not up to standard The beds are on a metal base that is extremely loud anytime you move in the night The pillows are very firm and uncomfortable The tub was dirty and stained Walls are thin and can hear everything your neighbors are doing through the vents in the bathroom Overall I don’t believe the value was there, we like that it’s a pet friendly option but it was not worth what we paid

This hotel has pros and consPros: the door locks The bathroom fixtures worked

The sheets were cleanCons: everything is ratty Most surfaces didn’t appear clean Things are broken AC in the room I was in was moderately quiet for a few minutes at a time, but when the compressor turned on, it was loud, and sounded like it might fall out of the wall When the compressor turned off, it was quieter again Tough to sleep next to that Breakfast was pretty awful

Roger Stanton

You get what you pay for Except here Selected the Comfort Suites because it was appx 40% more expensive than our other options in the area

The pictures looked decent enough, thought it was perhaps a newer property with nicer things — including a nice staffWrong on all counts: service was somewhere between less than hospitable and total indifference, water pressure in shower was nonexistent, breakfast was probably the best the place has to offer and the scrambled eggs were like they had been washed in a bucket of water, the location couldn’t possibly be “new” as it’s so badly wornSleep is the top concern wherever I’m staying overnight, and “Comfort” shouldn’t even be in this location’s name The air conditioner quit cooling the room and made sleep on the hardened mattress impossible Checkout was smooth, and welcome: drop room key in fishbowl at front desk and don’t look backMy advice, find a better place and save your money

michael miller

we are just now checking in and getting to the room so at the moment I’m going to mark it three stars, So far everything is great! Front desk was very polite and helpful, check-in was fast and without any problems (we booked online with a 3rd party) the room is clean and well taken care of, this will be a one night review stay so we will be updating after breakfast for a final reviewFULL REVIEW— so as the clothes out to my review I have absolutely nothing that I can say negatively about this hotel, we had a great night sleep the hotel was quiet throughout the evening the front desk appeared to be manned at all times and having had an opportunity to utilize the gym the only complaint I would have is that there was no hand sanitizer at the time, the shower in the bathroom had great water pressure, tub drain nicely And all appliances in the room were working perfectly and in good clean order, Should we be in need of a close by staycation this would definitely be the 1st on my list, I highly recommend

We stayed one day and one of the room was infested with ants We only came to know following day after my family were bitten by ants and it was not acceptable When we checked out we informed our concern to the front desk and she told me she needs to talk to the general manager

They talked behind the counter and she came back and told me they can offer to give $20 dollars We were very frustrated and complaint if anyone can take the room when ants are everywhere However she told me that’s what they can offer! Manager didn’t show up to us and apologized but left the scene well before we have been in IHG hotels numerous times but this never has been a concern until now We asked this is going to be a reputable damage to IHG if this is how they treat customers She was indifferent to the situation We did not accept their offer and contacted IHG They told me that this can be an insurance claim and this is not acceptable and escalated the claim to the top management After we left, hotel’s general manager finally called us and apologized and told me that he can refund one of the two rooms to settle the case We told them that this is very disappointing We are not asking for any refund or any monetary compensation but sought for an apology at the time we raised the concern Hotel has sanitary rating A everywhere on their walls but ants were also everywhere The manager only contacted us to apologize only after IHG reached out and told them the possible contract revoke in the future! IHG needs to better manage their hotels! We have stayed in many different locations in the past but this truly disappoints us If they want to keep the business in a right way, they do need to manage their customers damn seriously!

Mary Holmes-Burgess

Rooms were quiet and clean We just needed a place eto lay our heads for the night as we were just traveling through The beds were a little hard but pillows were comfortable

Room was perfect for the two of us and there are plenty of places to choose from for eating We needed to get up and going early and they gave us a wake up call Would stay here again if we were in the area

Rob C

The room above ours sounded like there was a soccer match going on until late in the night Front desk absolutely refused to address the problem after hours of asking We stayed two nights and will never stay at this Holiday Inn location again

Typically Holiday Inn has great rooms with staff that care… not this one! Don’t waste your money here, go check in at any of the other hotels within a 1/4 mile of this place Room was semi clean and breakfast was as advertised

Very happy with our choice here Very clean and updated Bed was comfy and rooms were spacious

Our dog loves being able to walk around after a day in the car Dog park is right next door Parking for trailers available in the adjacent lot Very friendly workers as well I will be marking this one down as a nice mid point stop for our east coast road trips

Brittany Lawrence

Easy to travel to (right off of the interstate 95), staff are very friendly and accommodating The food is kept warm and fresh, along with fresh fruits, drinks and coffee available at all times There’s also doggie treats and tennis balls for the pets

And everything was very clean and quiet I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will be excited to visit again, I’m usually very picky about hotels so that’s saying a lot!

m erg

Off the 95 mid North Carolina great location Check in less then two minutes The room however was designed oddly, the bathroom door is a sliding door and is used as the door to your closet as well, what benefit is this, when 1) you can’t lock your own bathroom from within and 2) use the closet in the same time as using the bathroom

Also, when you have no bath and the shower is the size of bathtub, when catering for travelers, this usually means kids (which they do cater, such as coloring books 📚 at Breakfast) but then, no bathtub In thy note serving overnight travelers and not having the pool open till 9am is a disservice and counter productive A 7AM opening would be a better time Breakfast was great Overall this is a 4/5
