We stayed at this beautiful hotel for 6 nights We booked a suite, that was very spacious, clean and quiet We kept the windows open at all times and loved hearing the ocean waves crashing onto the shore

Every employee we encountered was excellent We only ordered food once for breakfast, and it was very good Fantastic location close to shopping and dining and gorgeous beaches

Nunya Bidness

We stayed here two nights (4/9/22-4/11/22) and it was a last minute decision I didn’t get the name of the woman who checked us in but she had red hair She was fantastic! After a bad experience elsewhere we asked if we could see the room first

She was happy to oblige We got room 306 It had three large windows that open very wide (would not recommend if you have children) There was a great but partially obstructed ocean view The bed had a very good quality mattress It was nice laying in bed with the windows open The room is on the end of the building so it get a great ocean breeze with windows on two walls We ordered room service twice and used valet parking Everyone we spoke to was polite and helpful My wife said the Cesar Salad was phenomenal I saw a review complaining about housekeeping We never had a problem They texted to ask when the room would be available, we answered, they serviced the room while we were out So much better than someone knocking on your door We had an early flight and had to check out at 4:00 am I asked the valet if that would be a problem and he said he would take care of us He had our car parked right out front for us This place is top notch for service I wouldn’t hesitate to come back

Brenda Rogers

The location was great, the lobby is very nice looking, and it is walking distance from shopping and the children’s beach The people were nice too The pool was shallow and my kids liked it

It also had mint water which I appreciated on a hot day The pull out couchwas comfortable However, I can’t speak for the rooms but our suite was pretty dirty and dated and I cant get past it so I had to give 2 stars Carpets were stained, the couch and room smelled pretty musty, black mold in the shower, a gross gray phone from the 90s next to the tub (why?) There was mold in the coffee table under the glass too I don’t think I’ll stay here again unfortunately and take my chances in the other places nearby

This surpassed my expectations About a 2 block walk to the beach Great area

We had a group of 16 teenagers and they were so accommodating and gracious The set up for groups is perfect with an outdoor fireplace that is right out in front of the Starbucks where breakfast is served poolside They also have a bar and a grass area for games It was extremely family friendly and the front desk had the most friendly staff I’ve ever experienced in a hotel The cleanliness was great and my room was spacious When I come back to San Diego I will be staying here with my family Thanks for being awesome hosts!!!

John Gillespie

Cute little hotel with a great layout (pool/bistro in center courtyard) I requested a quiet room and was not disappointed Room 249 overlooking the residential neighborhood to the west was outstanding for a peaceful night sleep 😴 🙂

Even with the enhanced quiet, it was still only a 30 second walk to the pool!Only knock is the room showed its age, and the A/C started off pushing hot air Had to wait an hour for engineering to show up

David R.

This is a nice hotel with a great pool and spa and restaurant for breakfast and a dinner/snack (see my pictures) All the staff were soooo friendly I always say it starts at the top, the Manager must be a very nice person who treats his staff well

A special thanks to Vito with housekeeping for caring so much and being quick with requests All the staff in the bistro were great (try the iced tea) We’ll be back next year

Beautiful resort! They have a nice pool area and the the rooms are very clean I will say it’s kind of confusing to get to my room I had to take two elevators One thing I forgot to mention is the lady in Starbucks was such a sweet lady! Very kind, and gentle, and her voice was very soothing

She made sure your coffee was perfect! I saw her the first 2-3 days when I visited Starbucks, then she was off I wish I would have told her how well her customer service was

Bryce Al

This is a fantastic resort with a great location for relaxing, going to Legoland and it is close to Carlsbad village and Oceanside for great mealsMost importantly the staff is phenomenal! Before I arrived Hunter provided amazing service over the phone to accommodate a request When I arrived Milli checked me in and she too was very helpful and professional!I travel often for work, and I am impressed when a hotel provides impeccable service, and Westin Carlsbad is definitely one of those hotels

During my 5 night stay Hunter went out of his way to provide fantastic customer service! I saw how he made every guest feel special Thank you to the manager Dolores and her team for a great stay!

They went above and beyond to make me feel so special on my birthday! The room views are gorgeous and peaceful We didn’t even leave the resort, we ended up going to the relaxation pool all day which has mediation calming music under water (the best part) and then to Amaya for dinner with a beautiful patio table and view of the sunset All of the staff we encountered were pleasant and welcoming

Looking forward to planning our next trip back!

Hey Siri what is an amazing stay worth every penny reviews are unmatchable we came and stayed for anniversary and I felt like we were worlds away from all of our every day stress at home which is just A mere five minutes from here Highly highly recommend this place the spa is fantastic as well the food at Addison’s was unbelievable The staff the service amazing

We loved having our nightcap and sitting in the lobby and playing backgammon and chess It’s nice to stay here when it’s nice and cool out because then you can enjoy the many fireplaces that the property offers indoor and outdoor You cannot stay here without going to Addison’s for their prefix meals

We had a wonderful 2 night stay here It is a beautiful hotel If you ever go here be sure to take time to take in the architecture of this place

Make sure to look around Take a moment to stand in the hallway and look up at the ceilings and then forward and how everything just lines up perfectly It’s really quite beautiful The food in the restaurants is very good and the servers are very efficient and kind My husband played a round of golf one day and he said the course was very good The golf carts are really nice with comfy, molded, leather seats! They have a lot to offer for you to do here They have an equestrian Center and it looks like a beautiful place to go for a trail ride They have archery, cornhole, and several pools, golf, and a very high-end spa If you want to go to the spa make sure you book early I tried to get in on a Saturday and they had been booked up for days So I was very disappointed I didn’t get to enjoy the spa And if you want to do the pool at least at the adults only pool, make sure you go out and stake your claim on some chairs earlyThis hotel is not cheap but neither is the service or the atmosphere We really enjoyed our stay here

We stayed for the weekend beginning Friday, 20th of May, 2022 We arrived at check in, to which we were notified that rooms (several others waiting) we’re not yet available I understand being short staffed during a pandemic, but having to wait over an hour with 2 little ones under two years old is asking a bit much

Had to deduct one star The rooms were clean and nice with a nice view Bathroom shower had a unique glass door that swung to almost close the shower Service, Tony, was always friendly and always asked if we needed help The valet text option was quite easy to use and car was ready when notified No daily cleaning service was available I asked if they could take out the trash while we were gone and it was not taken outwith2 children under two, it piles on fast Removed one star on the service side The hotel has a nice convenience store at the lobby

gaby minjares

My family and I decided to stay here on a little weekend getaway The rooms were clean However, I was not happy that they are not offering room cleaning unless you stay for more than 3 nights

So, no clean towels or refills on toiletries unless you call the front desk I called the front desk one night to have clean towels in the morning and they never showed up I had to call again in the morningAnother inconvenience was their half shower door design It just doesn’t work and it’s dangerous We did travel with our little ones and there was water everywhere but even when my husband and I showered the water made its way out It was very slippery and again dangerous It doesn’t help that your room doesn’t get cleaned I’m sure I could’ve called the front desk but for the price I paid for the room I would expect to have that serviceAlso, be careful and make sure you read all the other cost for fees they tack on upon checking in $30+ per night for self parking is pretty ridiculous and $40+ for valet $20+ for a “destination” fee I believed they called it What was that for? I’m not even clear what I was charged forA HUGE inconvenience was also that they didn’t have a mini fridge or a microwave This was definitely needed especially when traveling with little ones Couldn’t keep any perishable foodOverall, it was ok but I wouldn’t stay there again

Mucko LA

Great hotel, all staff was very helpful and courteous This hotel allows dogs (up to 2 dogs, 75lb total) in a room The prices are very good right now for the rooms as well

Food at hotel is reasonably priced, even room serviceThe only criticism I have is the Easter brunch was subpar for the price Just basic eggs, bacon, sausage, waffle bar, and omelette station, was over priced at $50 for what it is

Beautiful location with views of the golf course from most every room The service is top notch: very friendly and willing to helpThe little shop is insane with the markups on basic essentials, but I guess if you don’t want to leave the property, you pay the exorbitant convenience price

But come on, $6 bucks for one can of domestic beer is insane

Donald Taylor

Spent 20k on a three day company outing Room was awful Stains all over the furniture

No iron in the room Beds are rock hard Staff was not helpful I was told I would get a text when my room was ready Three hours later no text so I checked at the front desk and they said it was ready they just didn’t text me What a waste of time and money I’m glad it was my company’s money We will not be spending our money here next year when we come back to San Diego I really wish I could give this place less than 1 starRequested an iron so I could iron my dinner clothes because apparently this hotel only gives an ironing board with no iron, and it took them over an hour to get me one I had to skip dinner with everyone because of this This hotel is absolutely garbage There has to be better places than this dump in the area

Crystal Lintan

After a day of relaxing at the spa with my sisters, it was finally time to check in to our hotel room We decided last minute that it was would be fun if we were able to stay an extra night and maybe even bring the kids to the pool the next day We checked in with Dede at the front desk to see if they had any availability and if we could even upgrade our room

DEDE was the absolute highlight of the weekend! She made it happen and we were able to upgrade our room to a Villa I highly recommend staying in a Villa if you have kids Lots of space for everyone to enjoy their time The service was incredible everywhere we went Thank you to Bobby at Bar Traza for accommodating us! However, the real MVP award goes to DEDE!!!

I stayed here for my wedding weekend and had the best time I booked a suite there for the weekend and they upgraded us to a bigger suite which had chilled champagne waiting for us when we walked in! The night before the wedding we invited friends over for drinks and snacks in the Living Room Bar and ended up taking over their gorgeous outside patio The service was a little slow which was understandable considering the quality of their cocktails and how many people were there

But the staff was awesome and the server somehow stayed organized with 15 different checks Everything from start to finish was great We’ll definitely be back!

Alisha McKay

The hotel was just nice For the price I would have though we would have had an ocean view but all we could see were dead ferns Whoever decided to make the ground level rooms blocked off with walls and dead plants made a terrible decision

In hindsight we should have paid for the extra costs to see the ocean I was surprised we didn’t even have water in our rooms, even the cheapest hotels leave a couple bottles of water There was water but it was $6 The food and drinks were very expensive but tasted good There is no room in the minibar for your own stuff, again most cheaper hotels at least have a refrigerator Coffee maker wouldn’t work because the outlet wouldn’t keep it plugged in There wasn’t much room in ten bathroom or hooks for toiletry bag It was on a nice location which is probably 1 of the biggest perks Not worth the money I would probably not spend the money to stay here again We could have been in a condo over the ocean in Hawaii for the amount of money spent here for 5 days

Ellen Decker

Had the most wonderful stay at L’Auberge! My boyfriend and I picked this spot for a little getaway from La Jolla and it was beyond amazing The valet was particularly exceptional and friendly This is the perfect spot if you’re looking for a relaxing stay that also feels homey

Highly recommend grabbing a coffee from their cafe and trying breakfast – 10/10!! Will be back

This hotel is in poor condition Needs a total renovation We could not wait to leave

We moved from the room we reserved because the bedsprings were broken Every turn would have kept us awake The electrical sockets were so loose that our charging devices would not stay in the outlets Second room: dirty wall paper from the 80s, cracked tile floors, old toilet with no pressure, shutter style bathroom sliding panels that needed a deep dusting/cleaning and a rotted wood hand rail that was duct taped to keep it from further rot leading up to the roof top deck, unbelievably The only thing this hotel had going for it was the location We were a block to the ocean and the roof top deck would have been more enjoyable if the chairs hadn’t been so broken I will say the cleaning women did their best considering the poor condition of this property Breakfast was packaged junk muffins that we did not touch We did not drink coffee either This was way overpriced for the condition and decay

Theresa Gutierrez

My husband and I had to get away for the weekend, from the kids, family, and life, so we last minute booked our stay here, and loved that they allowed us a late checkout, as we arrived late Friday evening- and even though we arrived late, the Best Pizza restaurant was open for outdoor, under the heater eating and drinking amazing beers on tap, including some really good pizza! There was a choice of restaurants, all on that same intersection, which is just above the beach! We enjoyed the rooftop jacuzzi, and the incredible under-the-stars, beach view! This lodge is truly a lodge and feels like you stepped back in time as if you’re in a snow lodge, but they were very clean and professionalWe’ll do this again!

Shannon Kelly

This is in a nice area with easy beach access The room itself was pretty terrible We stayed in the Paradise room, the theme is beachy which is cute but it smells musty and mildewed and the kicker was a sewage smell coming from the drain in front of the toilet in the bathroom

It permeated the entire room We finally covered it up with a towel which helped The bed was also terrible, broken springs and very squeaky, made it hard to sleep The rooftop area is also dangerous; there was a place on it when we were walking around that my boyfriend almost went through a part of it, when he turned to look at what happened he realized it was kind of blocked off-not enough to be obvious, no caution sign or tape I would not recommend this place-maybe some rooms are fine but I will never try this hotel again So many hotel options, this one needs some work

We needed a mental health escape !! Although we r still at the resort, we extended our stay, I wanted to express how absolutely fabulous this place is!! This is paradise! From all the staff to the accommodations it has been spot on!!! If you need pampering this is the place to go We parked our car and have never left! Golf for the hubby , no problem got him on the course , need spa treatments , no problem they will find a way to get you in Want to hike down to the beach go for it trails right next door! Want to ride horses, they will book

Room service til 10:00 pm! And The Pool is fabulous! It’s quiet and peaceful and then the fighter jets from The base fly over a couple times a day wow! It’s exhilarating and fun to see! Stay here play here and treat yourself to a wonderful vacation! We will back !!! But like my husband said quietly let’s not tell anyone about this place let’s keep it to ourselves lol❤️

Carol M

The craftsman architecture is spectacular It’s nestled into its surroundings Its proximity to Torrey Pines State Park made it very convenient for hiking

The pool was wonderful I would definitely skip the spa, not worth the price for the quality of services… (there were four of us and we all felt the same way) The restaurants were just OK I don’t think a resort should have a resort fee… The reason you stay at a resort is for the pool, spa, restaurants etc $45 a day per room is outrageous We didn’t have a chance to play golf but The course looked amazing

Sitosopti Sarkar

The rooms are very clean and maintained, but they are nothing special Bathrooms are clean but not big or luxuriousIt’s good as a lodge

Restaurants are also fine But other than that, facilities (other than golf related) are lackingVery calm and quiet place Dog friendly Lots of parking And the staff is very friendly

Very beautiful designed hotel with a prefect view of the oceanThe valet and check-in staff were very friendlyIt is very expensive and they definitely need to work on somethings to make the experience worth the money

A couple of the staff who work at the pool and bar were extremely rude and unwelcoming, just this will make me not want to go backI booked a daybed at the pool and thank goodness because the pool was over packed and it seemed like non hotel guest came and meet their friends Kids everywhere which definitely took away from the relaxing part and made it hard to get into their very tiny poolThe daybed was $200 and it came with warm water nothing to keep it cold The beds where suppose to have a sever but we got the least attention, the people just hanging out at the pool where served more So I don’t think I got me money’s worth other than having a spot to sit Lunch isn’t served till 12 and by that time everyone at the pool was ordering food moving the time to 11 would help the staff not be so overwhelmedThe restaurant took a really long time to get drinks out and the steak had a lot of fat on it but the pork belly was really goodI was there celebrating my birthday and the staff asked a couple time but didn’t do anything for it or at the restaurant which was a little weirdIt was a great one time experience but I don’t think we will go back

Adam C

Fantastic hotel Excellent staff, well-appointed rooms, large balconies, nice pool area Very much enjoyed our visit

Best views are the rooms facing the west (ocean) from the second or higher floor South rooms will face condos and north facing rooms will view the ocean, the nearly beach, and segments of the 101 Valet only Some restaurants are within walkable distance, but not much You will need water shoes for the beach (rocks)

T S

Beautiful location and modern design, we enjoyed our stay here A+ attentive staff that was friendly, expedient and on-brandThe bar at sunset is not to be missed & features a well trained team with a craft forward skill set

Of note: as others have said, if you are not a fan of the restaurant, you’ll be challenged with room service (it’s an extension of the chef’s influence)

Adorable, quaint, and off the beaten path, a night’s stay at the Inn will not disappoint I grew up in San Diego and literally never realized Rancho Santa Fe had a “downtown” area Don’t expect much besides a restaurant or two, but it’s literally at the doorstep of the hotel and an cute couple blocks to take it

The Inn is composed of various bungalows that are very spacious if our room was any indication The staff with memorably pleasant and helpful And the grounds are gorgeous Highly recommend checking out this (relatively) hidden gem

Ümit Kaan

Very nice property in the heart of Rancho Santa Fe We rented one of the larger units with fire place and patio Room was clean, spacious, comfortable

However there was a heavy smell probably because buildings are bit too old We spent most of our time on the patio Very relaxing Pool and surrounding area was clean, good housekeeping service Restaurant seems to get business from local patrons a lot and host/servers seem to value them over to visitors Restaurant host was a bit rude, almost reprimanding us for walking to a table in the patio We did not realize host stand was inside She told us no table on the patio is available and it could be hours before a new table opens But she left the host stand to clean a table to give it to a “regular” She whispered to them in front of us telling them she’ll give this table to them This is Somewhat understandable but wasn’t very smooth and made us feel unwelcome Yet overall it was a good stay I like the complimentary valley service Also special thanks to Evet and Paco who works very hard and went out of their ways to make sure we were served well in the restaurant during our last breakfast

Karen MacLeod

We didn’t stay I wanted to comment on the food in the restaurant Over the last few years the quality has deteriorated

It’s such a lovely spot for lunch or cocktails but food isn’t so good these days Being a vegan, I don’t have many options Now the one truly vegan dish is bland and has terrible rice My husband orders other things but most have been somewhat disappointing Hopefully the new ownership will get it back to its old standards!

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING AND SUCH A RELAXING RETREATI absolutely adored this inn and need to come back asap The garden is lovely and since gardening is such a hobby of mine as well, I loved to share my joy of it with othersWe also were invited to do a honey tasting and I LOVED all the delicious flavors I can tell that so much love and intention was put into this inn and it is such a refreshing place in the midst of such a busy world

What a beautiful gem! I loved the noise machines in the room, tea baths they offered, and even the itty snacks they left for usLOVE LOVE LOVED IT HERE

Want a unique and relaxing stay at a B&B near the beach and walk to cafes, bars and restraunts? The Inn is designed around organic, sustainability working gardens for guests to enjoy And, breakfast is delivered to you door! With an Indian Mystic vibe, the owners seem to have thoughtfully added a tranquil space to rest, meditate, sleep, or use as a base to enjoy Encinitas or the sandy beach

So relaxing and nourishing It was an exquisite wellness break that uplifted my soul Every detail of this place has been thought through, giving me a Zen-like experience

I loved the hot bath with fresh flowers and herbs, the food plates and baskets I ordered, and the quiet wood-panel room My mind just relaxed I used my two days there to write in my journal, read my spiritual book and meditate Everything there supported my retreat Wow!!!

Hotel location was amazing and the views were great The rooms were clean but definitely need some renovation – it seems like it’s been a few decades since it’s been doneA few other things they could have been better:First is that the wifi is REALLY bad

I am a Diamond member and I had premium connectivity, yet I was still unable to get more than 2 devices working at a time and with reasonable speeds without it dropping all the time The front desk asked me to call AT&T when it’s supposed to be the hotel’s job to take care of it My particular room (Rooms 2070-2090) had absolutely no cell reception so I missed several important work calls as a result This is not necessarily the hotel’s fault but it’s something people should be aware ofThe second thing is the charges for room service I understand these extra charges are necessary but the bill I signed when the food was delivered was highly deceptive It already includes the service charge (22% which includes 18% tips for staff and 4% to the hotel) but there was another line on the receipt for “tips” which I mistakenly added another 18% This resulted in my food being an entire 40% higher than expected UnacceptableI’ve stayed in many Hilton hotels before and this was disappointing to say the least For the resort fees and high room rates, you would think that they could afford the occasional renovation

This hotel is a gem Conveniently located next to the Torrey Pines reserve, I couldn’t have picked a better place to spend my first night in San Diego Clean and modern rooms, amazingly comfortable beds and beautiful views of the golf course

Impeccable pool area and lush landscaping The staff was so helpful , responding to any questions i had via text so quickly 5 star in my book

Muruganandam Sankaran

Very Good location On the golf course and nice hikes around Bed was comfortable

Parking is very hard Even though you pay 35 $ per day most of the parking spots comfortably accommodates only compact car Any SUV is very difficult to park Lot of times the exit scanner didn’t work Many cars are stuck and long queue at least 2 days to get out of parking lotMany thread mills in fitness center didn’t work The machines look very outdated and needs maintenance

Simply Bliss! We stayed for four days and had many plans in the San Diego area, several of which we cancelled because staying at the resort was INCREDIBLE The service is impeccable, each staff member friendly, knowledge, sincere and gave a little extra in every transaction The food – All delicious, the rooms – fabulous

The spa – wonderful The touches of fresh squeezed orange juice delivered to the room each morning and the green drinks handled to each guest as we left a work out class among other special touches Rancho Valencia has that extra special something that is found in a privately held business It feels like everyone at the resort is an owner We will be back again and again!

I had the pleasure of staying at this property for two weeks and all I could say is wowIt is truly one of the most amazing properties I’ve ever been to in my lifeThe grounds and the facility are more than incredible and overwhelming with luxurious touches

The food is nothing shy from incredibleHaving stayed in luxury properties all around the world, I can say with confidence that this is in my top two favorite hotels I have ever been toOne of the best things about this property is how you’re welcomed at the guard house by the two smiley faces of either Robert or his colleagueEasily one of my all-time favorite touches is the complementary newspaper and orange juice which is left on your doorstep every morningAll in all when it comes down to it but really says this property is side is the staffThe following people are the ones who truly made this stay exceptional:- Ian- Austin- Riley- Laura- Kyla- Alexa- Felipe (from pony room)

I really enjoyed my stay at the spa here for my birthday The staff was very pleasant and accommodating, and overall the facilities were well-kept Staff were on a constant rotation to replenish the refreshment station and clean the locker rooms

They even provided a complimentary champagne for my birthday One thing to note is that wifi is not very reliable and there was no service for Verizon holders I’m sure most go to a spa to disconnect, but depending on your situation, this could be good to note Otherwise, I cant wait to come back!

From the jump the service at this property was extremely good The valets greeted us, helped with bags, and made us feel very welcomed As we checked in, the front desk staff were quick and, again, extended wonderful customer service

We left the property a few times during our stay and each time we departed or arrived, the valets were warm, helpful, and professional Upon returning from a trip to the beach the valet had fresh towel delivered to all four of our party’s rooms Our room was good sized and clean The eggs Benedict at breakfast was delicious I’d definitely return to this hotel!

This place is amazing! The property looks a little old from the outside, but the inside is completely renovated and new! The pool and hot tub were cleaned every night and the pool was heated The room was very clean and massive – one of the largest hotel rooms I’ve stayed in! Front desk employee was super nice and was even able to provide beach towels I would definitely stay here again – it’s in a nice area and priced very well

Unfortunately this hotel did not live up to the standards normally seen at Hilton resorts Rooms are a bit outdated with older amenities like smaller TV’s As a diamond member, we were upgraded to a room with a patio leading out to the pool which was nice, but the door didn’t open well, and the screen had fallen off the track

There was also mold in the shower grout The outdoor jacuzzi was also in need of care with plaster flaking off all over the inside From a service standpoint, our experience was mixed We called for housekeeping to provide additional towels on the second day 3 times before they finally delivered them, 6 hours from the first call If that’s the norm, make sure you plan ahead! On a positive note, the weekend breakfast buffet was excellent and restaurant staff was great! My wife opted to order off the menu and was equally happy with her smoked salmon plate The location was also fantastic for us as we spend the first day at the San Diego County Fair and were easily able to walk We also walked over to Whole Foods for snacks which was very convenient We saw there was a Denny’s next door which we didn’t go to, but thought that was a good option for people with kids Overall, a very mediocre experience

Poor is an exaggerated rating for the terrible service this hotel offers At check in, I asked if the room has a sofa bed Serena at the front desk said yes they did and I also asked if there are sheets and bedding is laid out or if I need to ask for extra

She said everything is available We come to the room – there is no sofa bed I immediately call the front desk and the guy on the line says – nope we don’t have sofa bed Not their website says they do I don’t understand how this can be a Marriott property Their treatment of their guests is disgusting and appallingTo add, upon check in we asked for a bell boy for help with luggage Serena, again, said we don’t have people, can you carry it yourself? Yes of course I can carry it myself I was asking for help I thought you run a hotel, and not a lodgeTerrible mistake to spend my money on this useless property Their Marriott affiliation should be revoked

My friend and I visited San Diego for 3 days, 2 nights (March 9-11) and stayed at the Marriott Del Mar since the hotel looked nice, had good reviews and was in a good location for usWe were only going to be in the area for 48 hours, so we had to make the most of our tripWe were glad to see Marriott had its own parking garage that we could use during our stay

We parked on the main level of the parking garage for our first night However, overnight, our rental car was broken into and our golf clubs were stolen The value of the merchandise is over $5,000!The rear window on the drivers side was smashed The thief gained entry to the vehicle through that window and took both my golf bag and my buddy’s as wellMarriott has security at the location, but for some reason they don’t work overnight (Which is when you’d think any crimes may occur) They also have ZERO cameras in the parking garage that could’ve helped us identity the suspect(s)The company that runs the parking garage at the Marriott also advised they’re not liable for anything that happenedWhat was supposed to be a fun getaway from NY to golf and enjoy nice California weather turned into a nightmare of a trip We spent half the day doing police reports (San Diego police wouldn’t even come out to the scene and we were told to do a report online Joke), incident reports with the hotel, as well as incident reports with the parking garage companyWe also asked the parking garage manager about the incident and how often does things like this happen and he couldn’t give us a straight answer and dodged all of our questions That said it all for me Meaning this isn’t the first time this has happenedWe were then told the best Marriott could help us in this situation would be to comp us a one night in the future or comp us one night during our current stay We obviously opted for the one night comp during our current stay Why in the world would we come back to a location where you’re helpless if you’re victimized by a crime? We were given $195 back on my credit card for the one night We’re still out over $4,800 overall Hands down the worst vacation experience I could ever imagine

Josh

The stay itself was fine My flight got canceled and I had a hotel voucher from American Airlines They accepted my voucher and gave me a room

Then the next morning they charged me for the room! They still have not refunded me for my purchase I would have never stayed here if I knew I had to pay that money They need to get their accounting in order!

It was so beautiful The bathrooms were massive and gorgeous We had the Sunday buffet

The crab legs were divine The bacon was crispy They had waffles and a cheese bar We spent time by the pool It’s very chic The drinks were pretty standard for a 5 star You can see the beautiful views while soaking up the sun Sipping on margaritas in the pool They have gabanas you can rent Take me back to paradise We will be back The staff were super helpful

bryce lomonaco

This provides everything you expect from a high end resort Loved that there were separate adult and family pools Our pool cabana service was excellent

The only oddity was the location When I think Southern California resort, I think of the beach This is not by a beach but rather by a Swamp? Wetland if you want a euphemism? Would have preferred to get some sand between my toes

Janice Pak

We stayed here during the second week of summer break but surprisingly it’s not crowded Such a beautiful resort Recently renovated

Spacious lawn with sights of wild rabbits for the kids to run around All the staff is very nice to us and to our kids Provided free bottled water in metal cans to support small business during check-in We stayed here with our 7yr old and 25 yr old to explore San Diego with plans to visit Legoland, Safari Zoo and Sesame Place Just 15 min drive from LegolandI didn’t expect this spa and golf resort to be very kids-friendly (except the two water slides) The biggest surprise and special call-out is during the first room service on day 2, the housekeeping team automatically provided us with a diaper pail and stepping stool! We used special dirty diaper trash bags and the wooden trash can upside down as the stool as our travel hacks when we stayed at hotels and resorts including the fancy ones This is the first time we got offered the two items It’s always the small touches that matter Thanks for making the life of two exhausted parents slightly easier!
