Room was clean and spacious Modern and updated with all the essentials The windows however are not sound proof and being close to the airport means no sleeping when planes are landing or taking off

The lighting in the bathroom were a bit dim Overall well worth the price as it’s close to everything, direct highway access, pool and gym on-site and staffed by extremely friendly people

Tom Mangum (TomsVortex)

No included breakfast They only have out cereal and old bananas for free The coffee and tea is the only thing good

Everything else they will charge you for $7 for a yogurt parfait $3+ for a pastry They advertise the Bistro bar food with posters and marketing and menus in elevator But kitchen is not open They only serve drinks from 5pm to 9:30pm A bar that closes at 9:30pm The room was clean The water pressure was awesome and hot I smelled pot one morning in my bathroom Had to turn the fan on I certainly hope those ducts are not connected gross The TV is too slow for the software menu on it Takes forever to browse menuI made a comment to bartender after he said there was no food That they have failed every time He said “there is always something wrong” not sure if it was directed at me or a statement in general from guests If a hotel is continuously not meeting guest expectations Maybe something is wrong I guess the whole Bistro concept is a new thing I don’t see it lasting I will resume my usual chains I stay at and not book a courtyard againUpdate: Saw assistant manager in elevator I asked if they were serving food today as I pointed at the poorly printed menu in the holder on the wall He said No I flipped then paper menu around in the holder and said, Then you should temporarily not the display the menu He became hostile in demeanor and threatened to kick me out of the hotel Angrily flipping the paper back I researched a new hotel and checked out earlyThe Front Desk Manager lady was the nicest and profesional She checked me out with no problemsBye Bye

We had to wait after a long day to check-in while the clerk jibber jabbered, so the experience was off to a questionable startThe bed was comfortable, but the pillows were awful The floor wasn’t cleaned prior to our arrival

Our room had no tissue, which was a hotel first for us

Awesomely great maintained hotel Very clean and quiet and incredibly friendly staffBreakfast is buffet or menu

Bar is okay if you stick with beer Parking is valet onlyWill definitely come back here to enjoy a quiet night and a huge and cozy shower

Great hotel in the the heart of Burlington with very friendly service Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the Valet who was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable The staff at the front desk asked if we had ever been to Burlington and was quick to offer a list of restaurants broken down by cuisine

The restaurant in the hotel offered food until 10pm Many of the local restaurants were only open until 8pm or 9pm You cannot beat the location You could walk everywhere! We stayed at two hotels while in Burlington and I would stay at the Hilton Garden again in a heartbeatFYI- While reading reviews before our stay, I saw people complaining of noise They must have issues, because we did not hear anything around us So, do not let that deter you from staying at this hotel

Nicole McCurry

I’m gonna start by saying the front desk people were very friendly and the only good experience about this place Now take this review with a grain of salt, because it is coming from a socialistI HATE how hard they try and push their rewards program

We don’t travel and don’t need this amount of perks But BECAUSE we’re not rewards members, they nickel and dime us at every chance They force valet parking on us that comes with a fee We have to pay 3$ for a very small bottle of water There’s a huge pet fee, way more than any other pet fee I’ve paid this tripThe beds were hard and uncomfortable and my back has still not recovered The tub was VERY slippery I have a mobile disability and almost fell a number of timesThe whole rewards members system is meant to make people feel superior As a socialist, I am extremely against this system I will never stay at a Hilton again Sorry

We had a wonderful stay Given that staff is tight and there is Covid, we were taken care of The area seems very safe

The property is very well kept up and in working order and the pool was great I also used the workout room and it was very well appointedThe staff even put out complementary coffee and tea in the lobby for departure

Gabi Pezo

It’s an OK hotelFor some reason they don’t clean rooms daily which is the standard in most hotels So that part I didn’t like

The breakfast menu gets tiring after a 3 days The only things that changed daily was if they were gonna serve pancakes or waffles or biscuitsThe service and the people were nice and trying to be accommodatingWe room is pretty comfortable and the bed was very soft and cozy

Dad Train

This is big, sprawling hotel with a beautiful indoor dining area, bar, pool and fitness room My room was very quiet Front desk staff very accommodating and friendly

Housekeeping stopped by once during my week stay I requested twice some extra cleaning on the bath sink because of mold, which never happened Honestly, I would have been shocked if it didBreakfast items good, but the process to get seated was painfully slow!Be sure to include breakfast when you book your room Otherwise it’s $1695!

Hotel ReviewMy family and I were recently in town for a baby shower and to visit family Due to several other conventions and sports tournaments happening in the area, we had limited options This was near the highway, near where we needed to be, affordable, and available

Let’s start with the positives: the location is good (right off the highway, as we needed), the pool was clean, and the linens on the beds were cleanI’m sorry, but that’s about it In all fairness, I believe this hotel just changed hands… so take that for what it’s worthFirst of all, calling this a hotel is a stretch This is one part apartment complex, one part motelThe units seem to have been updated 15-20 years ago, based on the materials and cosmetic touches Carpets are stained and pulled Heating/cooling units are loud Drapes appear to be from the 70’sThe breakfast was gone very quickly, and they did not refill it Prepare for other optionsThe unit we checked into smelled terribly of smoke We asked to move to a different room, which reeked of curry I asked if they could change the filter on the HVAC, and was told maintenance was “back on Monday” It was FridayThere were two TV’s in the unit… one worked with standard definition and limited channels, one didn’t work at allMost of the exterior lights don’t work in the complex, leading to significant security issues Again, no maintenance Prepare with your phone flashlightIn the kitchen, the dishwasher was not connected to the counter, so it rocked back and forth if opened There was a garbage disposal, but it was clogged The refrigerator door would not close We had to prop it closedThis unit was billed as a “900 SF fireplace suite” To me, a suite has more than one room No such luck Plus, the fireplace was inoperable (not that we would have used it, but still…)The bathtub has fresh caulking, which clearly just covered up the black mold, which still showed through The toilet handle was barely hanging on Again, no maintenance crewWhat I am hoping to give potential travelers is some perspective If you’re looking for a modern, clean hotel with an attentive maintenance staff, this is not the place at least not right now Perhaps after the new ownership has some time with it? If your looking for affordability and easy on/off highway access, while ok with sacrificing the above, this could work for you

Wiebke Mazzulla

I’ve bred to several Sonestas, but this one is a dump Will never book any Sonesta again, as there doesn’t seem to be any quality control whatsoeverThere was no service nor basic hygiene at the place

1 Upon arrival, the front desk didn’t know how to look up our confirmation code and after ignoring us told us to contact bookingcom The manager who we asked to speak never showed up Pretty sure she never gets there because we only ever saw one lady2 We had booked one of the rooms with reward points, but when we wanted to check out they asked us to pay $390 When we explained we’d paid already, the lady said “ok” That’s it When my husband went back to ask if the charge was cleared, she said no, it was still there2 There was dirt and trash everywhere Our bath had black mold that they’d just painted over The tub was really really dirty from water standing in it for ages3 The place was infested with caterpillars, they were falling off all the trees We found several on ourselves and on our toddler There was no way to avoid them as you have to walk under the trees to get to your room My mother had several on her door and inside her room When I brought it up to the front desk, the lady pretended not to have noticed, even though they were literally everywhere4 The showers in both baths by the pool were out of order, meaning everyone swimming went in without rinsing off first Yuck!5 Paper plates and plastic forks for breakfast really?! At $250 per night?!!

Check in was fine Room was awesome when the heat worked Heat stopped working sometime in the night hours of Christmas eve

Christmas day we went down to reception where we were told this cannot be fixed today and we would have to change rooms and gave us keys to another room that did not have a fireplace, leaving the wood i already purchased useless We were told we would receive a discount at least We return around 3pm Christmas to make the switch from rm 421 to rm 723 and our key for our first original room doesn’t open the door leaving our belongings barred from us We go to reception to get those keys working, start packing the room and when we get to the new room the keys she gave us in the morning didn’t work for the door We go back to receptionagain to see a sign that no one is there and someone will be back shortly Great About 10-15min later someone finally arrives and were handed new keys We finish moving everything, and my girlfriend just wanted a bath and some rest after the day The tub faucet however does not work at all, so she could only take a shower that night Some pluses however were the cleanliness of the rooms and the full kitchen you don’t get an oven or plates/utensils these days so that was pleasant to see Breakfast was shoddy no hot food but I assume that was due to COVID, I don’t see why its advertised so much on the site when it really was a downfall for the stay Upon checking out 12/26 at 10am no one was at reception during primetime Luckily after only 5 or so minutes someone showed I had to completely re-explain our situation to the receptionist No notes were given to the person helping us out for checkout leaving her blind and unable to apply the discount or to even confirm it The next day however Karen the supervisor was in and applied the discount only after I made an attempt to get it, not proactively She did assure me i was going to receive money back and provided me with a “folio” showing the credit which was nice Next day after that I received credit Overall a lot of the problems I had came down to maintenance not being followed up on well When the rooms being cleaned, everything should be checked for operation, heat, faucets, lights, etc If it wasn’t for the few but major problems I had I’m sure I would’ve had a lovely stay

Nice place, but the stay wasn’t worth the money at all Each day we had to request that our rooms be cleaned They knew we were 4 people in the room, yet each day they only provided 3 towels

I requested an extra pillow, but none were available The resort claims to be a Spa and Culinary resort No cooking classes were offered during the week Very limited spa availability The tavern staff seemed troubled when we would arrive-each time they told us they only had one chef and one server The furniture, carpets, linens, basically everything was worn and dingy Overall this “resort” needs a makeover The grounds, however were very nice The tavern food was good

Laura B

Such a great getaway! We went up for the week and were excited when we reached the check-in desk where we found an assortment of tasty pastries and baked good (vegan ones too!) Not gonna lie, we bought one just about every time we walked by during our stay, they were so good! The staff throughout the resort were friendly and helpful and made the experience a smooth and enjoyable one, providing insight and suggestions for things to do on and off the property We grabbed dinner at the Tavern which was delishhhhh and took a culinary class which I loved! The Chef was great, made a custom menu that met my dietary needs, and provided a lot of knowledge and insight into the dish and cooking process I was able to try vegetables that I’ve never had before and open my eyes up to new culinary ideas

We also got to stroll the grounds and check out the chef’s garden as well as goats! Of course we also took some time in the Spa which was relaxing and enjoyable, offering all the amenities before relaxing in the afternoon in the pool and hot tub The room was perfect (and a variety of styles to choose from), 2 person tub, comfy bed, and mini fridge I honestly can’t wait to be back!

Went here as a Road Scholar inter generational experience with my granddaughter It was titled Culinary Curiosities The facility was well suited for the program: cooking stations for each child, with supplies

Two chefs shared their knowledgeand skills Our rooms were spacious Swimming pools indoor and out allowed activity for free time

Safety concern!!!!The hotel/employees were great The rooms are good sized and clean Bed was comfortable pull out soft bed very uncomfortable

All that aside ( I never leave reviews) I have a major safety concern that has nothing to do with the hotel itself and I can shake off what happened we stayed there last weekend of July 2022 for a girls 16 year old softball tournament as many travel parents know they go to the pool and “ hang out “ together and at 16&17 parents are not with them but know they are required to stay together- it was about 9:00PM, they had to walk a friend to her car to return to her hotel While outside the girls noticed 2 men in a white box truck pointing at them taking pictures of them They immediately went back inside to report Staff validated there concern and said they recently checked in and appeared to be drunk The truck had no phone numbers, no business name nothing to identify it or them and it had a pad lock on the back They sat in the parking lot until very late and were in the truck super early when we left Just watching I strongly feel they were looking to take somebody/human trafficking Also very close to the border It’s sad to have to worry about these things but you can’t rule it out PLEASE PLEASE be AWARE of surroundings if you stay there

Great bar and restaurant The staff were very accommodating Clean room with comfortable beds

Highly recommend upgrading to a room with a bathtub if possible Was great to soak after walking Church Street in the winter! The Tesla destination chargers were close to the entrance and free to use for customers Be careful of the low ceiling, you can hit your trunk if it opens high enough!

Paul Scott

Just came home from a delightful two night stay at The Hotel Vermont Unless you are looking for one of their suites, I recommend a corner king room with a view of Lake Champlain and the mountains beyond Super comfortable bed, and well-appointed, easy to use furnishings

The common coffee, tea, water, and fresh fruit station on each floor is a much better way to provide this amenity than machines in each room Juniper, the in-house restaurant and bar, serves a relatively limited menu, but the food was well-presented and very delicious There are several restaurants on either side of the hotel: less than a minute’s walk Above average service and care by all the hotel’s employeesWe strongly recommend The Hotel Vermont We’ll be coming back!

Adam Matthew

Stayed for a long weekend and despite the price, it appeared to be worth it Got there and aside from its close proximity to the water, it’s just like any other 3-4 star hotel in Burlington Definitely not worth the premium they put on their rooms

No breakfast included which was a disappointment Rooms were clean and the staff very pleasant But for $350+ a night I’d pass

The Inn was fine It was clean When we requested clean towels we received them promptly

The location was walkable to shopping and restaurants My issue with the inn is that we were not told about the changes in breakfast and mask policy until shortly after we were to leave on our vacation and way past the point where we could reschedule The breakfasts are fine, but are served in a basket that you have to pick up and carry to your table and clean up yourself You sign up for a time to pick up your breakfast Over the 4 days we were only able to get the time we desired once (on vacation I typically don’t have my phone available to respond to the text allowing us to sign up) The Inn has a strict mask policy also We ate in restaurants in Vermont and New York throughout our vacation and this was the only place that required masks at all times I would have rather been required to show my proof of vaccination rather than wear a mask I would have preferred that these policies were clearly stated on their web site so I could have made a decision about whether I wanted to book with them The Inn needs to update their website to include the mask policy and the change in breakfast

Gabrielle P

The Willard street inn was a perfect stay from start to finish Larry was welcoming and friendly and was so generous in accommodating our last minute change in travel plans The inn itself is breathtaking in its historic charm and was impeccably decorated for the holidays

The rooms and common areas were beautiful and clean and the breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious They also offered homemade chocolate chip cookies each day as well as an afternoon snack of our choosing which was such a sweet touch The inn is a convenient walking distance from everything to do in Burlington and a short drive from the airport and train station We cannot recommend it enough and look forward to our next stay!

My son and I stayed here for 2 nights, we stayed in one of the suits with a whirlpool and view, on the top floor The view was beautiful! Rooms are very clean and well stocked with extra linen’s, cups, etc The hotel as a whole is very pretty, well kept, and has a welcoming feel

They do have a smaller pool and hot tub, that was always empty whenever we went or walked by, it may have been because we stayed on a weeknight but it was a plus for us We will definitely be staying again, soon!

Melissa Rice

Front desk staff during check in was rude Did not welcome me or tell me about the hotel Did not even verify the length of my stay

Simply asked me to swipe my credit card and then stared blankly at me saying “Is there anything else?” Felt like I had to pull information from them which is not something I wanted to be doing after an 8 hour drive to their hotel The bartender also was rude My fiance had asked to see a menu and he made an off color remark to another patron We were inquiring about getting a coffee or tea which they did not have The positives were the room was clean and comfortable, close to downtown and waterfront Also the front desk staff member that checked us out was very warm and friendly, and gave us a recommendation of where to purchase apple butter in town Wish she had been the person to check us in to the hotel! Next time we will be staying at the Hilton next door

John Shea

The rooms are nice and the hotel is convenient to the lake and downtown bars and restaurants You may end up with a view of the lake if you are lucky But don’t count on your Ambassador or other level of rewards to help you with an upgraded room when asking

The service from the desk is more interested in just moving you along to get back to acting busy and doing nothing than having actual customer interaction and telling you about the hotel and the area Parking is hard to figure out how to pay through a weird QR code Just have it added to the room for $12

I was booked at this hotel for a travel assignment and deeply regret allowing them to have me stay there This hotel is quite disgusting There were multiple times that I would walk by a room while housekeeping was “cleaning” and witnessed them sitting with their legs propped up watching tv

It explains why the hotel is so dirty Most of the staff there have attitudes and are rude as well The air-conditioning did not work and we were told they don’t control it that an outside company does So essentially the thermostat on your wall is for show I do not recommend this nasty hotel I would consider it more of a motel than a hotel I can not express how dirty this place actually is The pictures online are definitely old I would not suggest staying here Book elsewhere maybe even next door but not at the comfort inn I would give 0/5 if I could

In this day and age, what should I expect from a chain hotel at$350 A night in a small city? The staff was all excellent and breakfast included was fine The facility needs a complete face-lift on the inside

Hallways dark and dingey, with carpeting looking soiled and not vacuumed Bathrooms need freshening showing signs of age and heavy useRoom lighting poorone lamp between the 2 beds Tough if one wants to read and the other doesn’t Only 1 other light on desk 2 nice chairs but no lamp to allow you to read I hope covid is reason for plastic glasses and no housekeeping service We had to get our own towels at desk and put our trash in the hallway I felt I was staying at a 3rd rate hotel, not worth $350

Front desk staff was very nice I had the worst day with a family in critical care at the hospital and just needed to breathe but wanted to close by Didn’t sleep much and work up early so was going to take a shower and get back to the hospital no hot water barely lukewarm

Called front desk they told me just to keep running it sometimes it take a while to heat up It’s been running 20 mins now still not hot and on top of it they never cleaned shower still has the previous guests used soap in the shower Very sanitary! 🤦‍♀️Thanks for the hassle free nights stay Comfort Inn and Suites made me free so great after one of the hardest days of my life

What a fantastic find in Burlington -we’ve stayed twice now (mid June & mid August) and everything was great Location is just a few blocks from downtown and the waterfront The house is charming with comfortable beds, pleasant staff, and a great breakfast

At high season, this jem is as cheap, or cheaper, as the lower-mid tier hotels that are not as convenient We will definitely book again next summer when our son is back for his violin camp across the lake!

Had a grea time at Lang House It was so close to shops & restaurants Our room was clean and quiet

They delivered coffee to our room in the carriage house every morning and there were bottles of water and tea available all the time Breakfast was delicious each morning and the staff were all friendly and helpful Would definitely recommend!

We just returned from a family vacation to VT for hiking and a visit to UVM Our stay at the Lang House on Main Street was outstanding I am very picky with accommodations and this wonderful place met all my expectations

Beautiful rooms (we stayed in Tuttle, our daughters in Vincent) and fantastic breakfasts every morning (choice from 3 entrees) The Inn is a perfect mix of old world charm with modern amenities Loved having bottles of water and cookies daily when we returned after a day out The inn is a short walk to Church Street Marketplace and the lakefront area Thank you Kim and team for a lovely stay! Highly recommend!

As soon as we walked into the green mountain suites, this beautiful stone fireplace welcomed you in The host was very friendly When we walked into the room, we couldn’t believe how big and roomy it was with a full kitchen, large bath and nice soft comfortable bed

My Husband and I had never gone to a hotel that gave you not only a full breakfast, but also a lovely supper with my favorite Italian wedding soup and a nice salad Everyday had a special menu for the evening which was great We will definitely stay there again Thank you to all the hosts and Jenna the housekeeper It was a delight to be there

What a wonderful stay! Friendly staff, clean rooms and common areas, the pool and hot tub were very clean each time we used them The free breakfast was a full breakfast with lots of hot and cold options The free dinners were very simple but tasty, and they saved us journeying out in the snow

We enjoyed sitting by the fire each night Really appreciated the mini market for having lots of great snack and meal options that weren’t marked up at ridiculous prices, we paid close to what you would on a store Lastly, the shuttle service was fantastic, free trips to the airport and into Burlington, which meant we didn’t need a car Will definitely stay again in the summer

Good — Nice size room Great location Pretty quiet for the most part

Could use some improvement — breakfast food that should be hot was cold most mornings we were thereRoom could have been cleaner when we checked in We fixed that ourselvesAlso would have been nice if we were asked by the front desk person what we thought of our stay when we checked out That was differentIt’s time to change the carpeting

One of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had! One of the funkiest and most eclectic stays we’ve experienced The innkeeper, Linda is hilarious and warm (and gives great recommendations for activities around Burlington) If you’re looking to avoid a straightforward, regular B & B experience, this would be your new cup of tea

You can walk to the downtown easily and the rooms are quiet (the AC unit is the only noise you’ll hear) We stayed in the smallest room and had a comfortable time The only thing we had to get used to was the detached bathrooms! Usually our preference to have an attached bathroom, but this wound up being fine Thanks Linda and staff!

Bethany Saltman

Linda was such a lovely host! We were two families who rented the entire inn over New Years and she made our stay so comfortable and cozy, even allowing our two dogs, and giving them treats and bowls in our rooms And plan to eat MAJOR breakfast (Anna was our lovely server

so sweet and gracious) The food was sooo good! Linda also gave us champagne, on NYE lots of ideas for plans, and when I left my glasses, she sent them to me Seriouslythis place is great Go!

Erika Deutschlander

My husband and I feel so lucky to have discovered this gem of a place! What a truly unique Burlington experience Such a warm, fun, and charming place We love the retro vibe, and comfort

And the food! No need to go anywhere else for breakfast- Linda and Emmy provided a gourmet meal, made to order We loved that dogs are welcome too! Linda is a wonderful host, fun to talk with, and full of great suggestions I highly recommend this BandB We’ll definitely be back, and can’t wait to experience the other rooms!

Generally good hotel Very courteous and helpful staff The location is fine — big shopping center around the block, Starbucks and bagel place across the street, and you’re just a few miles from downtown Burlington + a few miles the other way for the airport

This is about a 45-minute drive to StoweThe rooms are showing their age a bit, particularly in the bathroom But for our stay (in early February) this was by far the least expensive option in the area — and for that money, it outperformed my expectations

Zach Gershman

Small, clean and comfortable hotel The free airport shuttle is really nice and the on-site restaurant was tasty for dinner My only complaint is the 1 elevator in the building is quite far from the front desk; and then when you take it to your floor, it is far from the rooms

So, a better elevator and maybe offering to help guests with heavy suitcases would have made it a 5 star stay Otherwise it is 4 stars, still great for a night near the airport!

Kimone A

Room was not ready on time I checked in on the app the day before as requested No touch-less entry per the app Room located far from elevators and the hallways are hot so be careful

They charged a lot for rooms and did not clean it once Kind of defeats the purpose of charging $800 for two nights Bar was cute all amenities close early so didn’t get to use the pool Parking is limited so get back to the hotel early

I have stayed here a few times and can honestly say that it’s a great spot to stay a night at The hotel is very clean The rooms are updated and rather modern, but also spacious

The beds and linens are great The staff is very helpful and friendly The pool and hot tub are not only in great shape/condition but work well There is also breakfast at the lobby, which is a nice touch, as some eggs and sausage will help you get a great start to the mornings Highly recommended and will be staying here again in the future

Michael S

Very nice hotel Updated rooms and very friendly staff Pool was very nice and wasn’t crowded

We had the pool to ourselves most of the time we were there Breakfast was an expanded selection of baked goods and 4 hot items to choose from Nice location and convenient to downtown Burlington 45 minutes to Stowe, VT We would definitely stay here again

Jeremy Hancher

Has everything you need for a budget friendly stay in South Burlington Short drive to Downtown and code to highway 89 Staff is helpful

Visited during year 2 of COVID so some services such as housekeeping was suspended The room had everything we needed to be comfortable (fridge, TV, hot water, comfy bed) Pillows could be improved The heat worked very well Would definitely return
