I stayed here since there were a lot of rooms reserved for a weekend wedding Check in was at 3PM and one of our rooms wasn’t ready until 3:40PM We had been trying to get early checking since 2PM, so I have no idea why it took 40 minutes beyond check in time

If that had been our only room, we would’ve only had 20 minutes to get readyIn one of the rooms the toilet had and extremely weak flush, and you had to hold the handle down for a long time just to get it to do anythingFor the price of the room, and the fact that it’s a Hilton, you’d think breakfast would be included, but no, it was not You could pay $8 or $15 a person depending on what you wanted, and I don’t think I’ve ever been to a hotel breakfast that was worth $8, let alone $15 I could go to a Holiday Inn for $20 less a night, and get a good, included breakfastThe only reason I didn’t give this a 1 star is because the hotel staff were all great Between dealing with all the people due to multiple weddings that day, and dealing with all the drunk people at 1AM, they did a great job

The hotel is decent enough at $146 plus tax a night but probably not more than that Originally booked one night but couldn’t get through the plymouth phone number to speak a live operator We wanted to add a night

It kept cutting the call off saying international calls were not allowed even though I phoned from Cleveland After trying three times, I ended having to speak to an agent from the Philippines with a thick accent that I had trouble understanding and then it took her about 20 minutes to add one night When she gave me a total it was $645 for the two nights Whaaaaat? You’ve gotta be kidding me Yep That’s not the price I booked at So I had to cancel the reservation and start all over again So I’m already not happy at this point I booked online but never on a travel siteSo the room is decent and it has all the amenities, is right off M14 and quiet and comfortable Free breakfast The floors were sticky in the bathroom and the bed looked like a 3rd grader made it Not bad but not great It’s nicely decorated and has plenty of features

The room was fine, bed was comfortable The fridge barely got colder than the room temp The pool was closed which wasn’t communicated before we arrived, and it was the primary reason for our stay

We were offered a room at the neighboring property but they had no rooms available so we were offered $25 off the room but after checking the receipt we were charged full price Extremely disappointed

Alison Sanchez

Hotel was mostly clean (our room’s floor was pretty dirty – our feet and socks turned black from walking on it) Disappointed that the pool was closed (sounded like indefinitely), the handle on our door was pulling off, and the toilet paper holder was hanging off of the wall But we slept well in the comfortable bed and the gal at the front desk was kind enough to allow us to check out late

(I was in the area for surgery at the hospital and my surgery time was later in the afternoon)I had tried to call the hotel two days and one day before our stay to ask about a later checkout but the phone also seems to be not workingWith the prices of all nearby hotels being similar, I would have chosen another place to stay if we had known about the pool I went with this one because there were a lot more Google Reviews and they were only slightly better than all othersOverall, our stay was just “meh” At least it was comfortable and they accommodated our late checkout Staff was very nice

Sue Winn

This is my second review My first review was not made public I guess it was because it was a one star

I was charged $128 for a room that I canceled 24 hours in advance due to a positive Covid test I received an email asking me to fill out an extensive form to appeal my refund That is horrible customer service Why would anyone want to lose a customer over $128? Refunding my account is simple I will never stay at a Hampton Inn again

Callie S

I was thrilled with my experience at the Graduate Ann Arbor The hotel is so unique and this will be my location anytime I am in town for work It is convenient for local transportation and also just walking around to different restaurants and activities in the area

They staff members who checked me and were polite and efficient and the on-site restaurant, coffee bar, and alcohol bar are all phenomenal The room was clean, spacious and very unique because of all of the small things that they do to stay in theme with the University of Michigan I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody in the area I had colleagues that stayed at the residence Inn, Marriott Courtyard and others and then of their experiences compared to mine

Rita Petteys

I loved my, although short, excellent stay at The Graduate From arrival, all the staff were extremely helpful I was unsure of the parking situation, having not had a lot of time to prepare for the trip

The valet was outstanding in helping me understand the parking options This was Friday, July 29th, and I didn’t catch the young man’s name, but kudos to him for being so helpful and helping our stay start in the right way Kudos to the hotel for having a well-prepared staff! Secondly, the front desk staff was equally excellent Friday night’s check in staff was friendly and efficient And the young man who helped us check out on Saturday was excellent as well He helped us with luggage holding and took care to make sure our items that needed refrigeration were handled and then brought them back to us when we were ready to depart Then the valet on Saturday who retrieved our car – again, perfect we didn’t have any folding currency to tip him, but we had loads of coins and gave him two fistfuls of change To that young man, I apologize that we had to inconvenience you with so much change, but I am hoping that this review brings you and your excellent co-workers some appreciation and additional esteem from the hotel’s management both in Ann Arbor and from the corporate headquarters Customer Service is not a lost art The Graduate Hotel in Ann Arbor has proved that! Way to go!

Sven Tietz

Amazes me that there are negative reviews at all A wonderful hotel in a wonderful location, excellent rooms and decor and lobby Really lovely stay

Nifty design of the table lamps that makes plugs and charging easy – nicely doneOnly criticism I would have is the fitness facilities are sub standard, not enough equipment in a really cramped room, with covid this not a great setupBut you won’t want to exercise during your stay anyway so it doesn’t matter 😉

The pictures online showed a hot tub and relaxing pool This hotel is brand new but the common areas are very dirty You can feel the crumbs on the floor as you walk down the hallway

The pool area (which advertised a hot tub) had 4 chairs There were 10+ kids and countless parents in the pool area The lady at the front desk was very nice when I expressed my concerns She let me know to talk to Marcus to explain my concerns but Marcus values his weekends more than the satisfaction of his guests $200 for a dirty hotel is not worth it for Brighton Michigan

Lindsey Amey

Although the staff tried to be helpful, I got a call 2 days before our trip saying the hotel was over booked and I didn’t have a room I had reservations the next week as well and thankfully they made sure I had a room this time However, a friend of mine who is also staying at this hotel had the same thing happen to her this week

When they arrived at the hotel the staff said that their room is not available so they had to go to the store and get an air mattress in order to accommodate their family in a smaller room As I walked past the front desk I heard them saying the same thing to another family It seems to be a pattern that this hotel gets over booked and then they don’t have enough rooms or the type of room that you paid for Super frustrating and inconvenient I thought the point of making a reservation was to ensure that you had a room to top it off, I was taking my four-year-old daughter down to the pool a few minutes ago and it is closed 🙁 I will not be booking here again, I’ll stick to the Marriott

Lewis Poole

Decent hotel First, unlike what the google description states, note that there is no hot tub at this locationI asked for a quiet room and they put me on the 4th floor

It was indeed quiet, and the shades allow for the room to become nearly pitch black which is greatThe decor in the room was very modern, nice looking roomI have to go with 3 stars simply because the climate control system was not adequate I had it set to the lowest setting for sleeping (66 degrees), but there is no way it got even close to that The room was too warmFor breakfast, the pankcakes are decent, the turkey sausage is atrocious, scrambled eggs mediocre, and biscuits/gray passable This is always the case at any holiday innWhat’s less typical of holiday inn’s — this location did not have any plain bagels (appeared to be only raisin or blueberry, I didn’t try to confirm), the cereal selection had less options for kids than I’ve observed at other holiday inns,Good amount of milk and yogurt They were out of orange juice, that’s a bummerVery friendly staff

Nug Whisperer

Nice, clean rooms, decent breakfast and coffee Staff was polite and the business center came in handy when I needed to print a few documents for work The indoor pool was closed and I couldn’t access the fitness center with my room key

You have to request access from the front desk There were also lots of families with children during my stay that looked to be in town for baseball/little league I stayed on the 3rd floor and there was quite a lot of noise coming from the room directly above me Sounded like kids running around and stomping It didn’t happen the entire time, just really early in the mornings and in the late evenings and night Overall the hotel is a great place to stay, my particular stay could have been better, but I think I just had some bad luck

Mellow Mover

Despite the pool being closed and the property not informing us in any way shape or form about it, the “poorest” part of my stay was check inThe front desk girls hygiene spoke before we made a verbal connectionShe was poorly dressed, hair a mess and her communication skills were unprofessional

It was sad to see housekeepers in full scrubs but the front end had whatever they had clean that day to throw onFront desk experience 1/10 Housekeeping and breakfast 10/10 Great location Will come back in the future!

Mariah Beaty

This hotel was not very clean the first room we got the bed was covered In someone else’s hair and the second room the little couch was covered in dried Sperm

not cleaned at all The young guy at the front desk seemed very frustrated and was not super friendly but the older gentleman this morning was pretty nice Overall I would not come back to this hotel The pool was also closed we booked there for the pool to swim after a long wedding weekend so that was disappointing not that I would want to swim after seeing how dirty stuff was maybe just save time and go some where else

Celeste Sanchez

I used to work for Marriott so I know how the check in process is supposed to go Unfortunately when checking in both times, the front desk never asked for my ID so that is a huge safety red flag, didn’t make me feel the safest

I’m sure due to staffing issues the Starbucks/Bistro wasn’t always open, it was only open once during my whole stay Staff is pretty nice when you encounter them, rooms are a great size but bathrooms are kind of dim :/

Jill Gentner

We booked a room under a wedding block 3 months ago When we checked in we were told by the hotel staff that the hotel was overbooked We were given a room that apparently hasn’t been used since before the pandemic started

The lights above the bathroom sink and the desk lamp did not work We had one (singleno blackout) curtain that did not cover the window completely (we were on the first floor) so they gave us duck tape to tape the curtains to the wall for some (not complete) privacy There was also a very large wet spot in the carpet and the rooms smelled horribly musty and of cigarette smoke The hotel did comp our stay without hesitation, but I have yet to receive a refund as they charged us even before we checked in That room should have never been an option for a guest

Jarod VandenHeuvel

Okay hotel Needs some updating I can look past the little things but I will never stay here again

Just before getting into bed I found a few dried blood spots on the comforter Ripped it off the bed and left on floorUsed restroom in morning, loose toliet seatAt breakfast I make the front desk aware of both Apologized profusely Said they would take care before I returned for the dayReturned, comforter still there Toliet was tighten but became loose again after useThe young man working the desk then came up in minutes to provide a clean comforter Still come on man, we are still dealing with covid and we have dried blood on the bed?!?!Intersection off highway is a pain to deal withFood at the bistro was very good

This hotel is among the best I’ve ever stayed in! As soon as I walked in the large room I knew I made a good choice to stay there The room had some fantastic lighting where you could see everything in the room even in the middle of the night, and it had very high ceilings (King Suite room) that made it feel even bigger The breakfast was very good, with pretty much everything you would look for in a nice hotel

The staff was always very courteous and on the ball with everything that was going on around the hotel It was a great stay and I’m a little sad I had to leave

Jen Romero-Stentella

Highly recommend this hotel, the staff is very friendly, thank you Diamond for your wonderful help in checking in us twice! The hotel is very clean and the rooms are very spacious Our beds were so comfortable and our shower was really nice, great water pressure There is an indoor pool but we did not use it

45 / 5 starsWas staying with a big group for an event happening nearby but had a room alone with my bf

The only negatives I can think of are that the pillows were way too soft and had little to no resistance/heft to them, there was a single strand of hair on one of the bath towels, and there were a lot of children that were being loud in the lobby around 8-9:30pm (which I know isn’t the hotel’s fault)Clean room Good, freshly made breakfast Awesome and friendly staff Overall clean lobby/hangout area

When I visit my boyfriend in the summer, I always insist we stay at this hotel in Novi I’m someone with crazy high expectations for cleanliness and sanitization and so far this hotel always meets my expectations The restaurant has DELICIOUS, high end dining that we love as well as the gym

If I could change one thing it would be to add a pool!

Dr Linda

The hotel is beautiful, the conference rooms and property is clean and inviting and the rooms fabulous The staff was on point all except one!Two months ago myself and a business associate and event chairperson visited your property and was shown around by a very professional gentleman by the name of Jamal He answered our questions and was very nice

He told us the lady who we had to see was out sickWe waited and waited We left our contact information and we heard nothing Over two months we both called multiple times and left messagesMost recently I came two weeks ago and spoke with a nice young lady named Rachel I explained that we were planning several conventions and trying to secure YOUR location because it is centrally located and a beautiful venue She called Sora and said she is not answering She sent a message to her cellWe, Optimist Club, are an international organization with clubs(chapters) all over the globe We along with the hundreds of thousands of us are always looking for places for our events, most recently RenoIt is so disappointing that you have people that don’t bother return calls of reach out to entities attempting to do business with you Of course we have moved on and secured another venue One person has tanked our opinion of your location If this is the way others are being treated it is bad for business If not now later

My husband and I stayed for my birthday and we were able to check in early and late check out was 2pm which is AMAZING BUT you can hear EVERYTHING, on top of the fact we had 3 people knock at our door 10am, 11am, and then again at 11:30am VERY disappointed with that as we got late check out to sleep in Also a huge this was the TV was a lot nicer then we expected and what was shown in pictures

This is an extremely nice hotel, and the staff is top-notch! Myself and 2 colleagues ended up here as a last-minute schedule change We were tired and hungry Chris was amazing at check in, even going above and beyond to call the restaurant and have them hold a table for us as they were just about done seating guests for the night

We dropped our bags in our rooms, and headed over for a PHENOMENAL dinner Everything was fantastic, made in house, and our server, Dallas, was also exceptional! This could not have made for a better ending to a long and stressful dayThe rooms were very nice, beds comfortable, and showers SOOO relaxing! The musical mirrors are a nice feature, too! As someone who spends about 150 nights a year in (mostly 4-star) hotels, this is among my best experiences! Thank you Weber’s!

Very accommodating to special requests! Nice rooms Beds are squishy soft like giant marshmallows If you like that kind of thing it’s perfect

If you like a firm bed do not stay here Giving five stars even though I dislike soft beds, because everything else was great and they were quite nice, and the softness of the bed is probably what most people prefer anyway

This hotel will always be my favorite, I have been visiting since I was very young with my grandparents (when they had a slide into the pool) My husband took me back last year for my birthday and it was so much fun We loved exploring the hotel, looking at all the famous people that have stayed, the restaurant reminds me of the titanic, the retro game room, and so much more

The pool at night on the adult time is just amazing a relaxing We will be going back soon!

The indoor heated pool is great We used the grill twice I love having a functioning kitchen so you don’t have the expense of eating out The laundry is free to use, also I can’t give this place enough stars I’ll be staying here any time I need to visit my family

This hotel is considered an extended stay so there is no complementary breakfast here, but everything else about this place is amazing From the time we first booked our 4th of July stay, we were helped by a young man named Jacob who was extremely motivated to make our stay here very personal and memorable! He went above and beyond the call of duty and deserves 5 stars himself for being a hospitality guru! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We stayed here over the weekend We did encounter some issues upon arrival and during our first night stay However, I gave them four stars because their manager was really understanding, welcoming, and made it right

Check in was delayed over an hour, we were told house keeping was behind and our room wasn’t ready, ok, no problem However, things in our room were really dusty and we found several Linens in our room had large stains on them Talked to the manager and politely explained what we were experiencing and showed him some photos of the items He was very kind to us and apologized for the inconvenience He sent the head of housekeeping up to clean the room They did a good job They changed out all the Linens and dusted He offered a discount on our first night stay for the inconvenienceAll that aside, we enjoyed the pool, it was bit chilly for an indoor heated pool, but fine overall I LOVED the lighted mirror in the bathroom, it was great for getting ready The shower had good water pressure and the beds were comfy We really liked that the hotel had liquid hand soap in the rooms, and it smelled really good I recommend putting 4 towels and wash cloths in a double bed room though Overall, our stay here was fine

Friendly staff The room was very clean and comfortable There were unruly guests next door which was unfortunate but around 12:30 am I called the front desk and they took care of it

The workout facility was nice and the pool was warm The continental breakfast was just OK (food was a bit cold) but it was nice to have the option Good place for a couple night stay

We were in town for a funeral, so we weren’t going to be using some if the listed amenities That was a good thing, golf course closed for renovation, no mention of that on the website when I was booking the room Lots of construction in process to do an upgrade to the facility

The waterfall garden was very nice and the church/chapel is beautiful Our room was very nice, but to get room temperature below 74 had to set to 69 degrees, then set at 71 when it was almost too cool Temperature in the room then went back up to 74, too warm Obviously there is a problem with the thermostat, didn’t bother to complain because we were really in the room a short timeEveryone at the desk and the steakhouse was friendly and helpful

Always look forward to photographing weddings here because the venue not only treats their couples/guests great, but also the vendors! The ladies are awesome before the ceremony, they fluff the dress and handle everything so the photographer can focus on capturing the moments The manager in charge during the reception space was so helpful, asking if we, the wedding vendors, needed anything and assisted promptly whenever asked a question They are great at transitioning guests from ceremony, to cocktail hour to reception making it for a great experience! Not to mention, the hotel rooms are great for getting ready photos and the outdoor spaces provide ample location opportunities for photos giving the couple a variety without having to travel!

I was here to take advantage of the Taste of Plymouth event that The Inn at St John’s hostedI was not a guest of the hotel and I did not dine in the hotel restaurantI gave a positive review because the facility is beautiful and historic and it is very well maintained and there are lovely plantings and water features and things to see and enjoy

If you ever have the opportunity to come for Taste of Plymouth, it’s a great chance to try as much as little as you like of a lot of different restaurants and I was told to come hungry and I went away very full

Stayed here for a week while I moved to the area The room seemed large enough for two people, had a semi equipped kitchen which was very useful given we stayed for a week Had a nice time in the Swimming pool as the weather was too cold to do anything outside

The complimentary breakfast was also decent, enough options to fill up for a long day

Olive OConnor

This hotel is amazing because the staff is so amazing I recently stayed at the property for over a month The staff makes this place the great hotel it is

The customer service is unbelievably good, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff to the maintenance staff, they made my family feel comfortable, happy and made it feel like home as much as it could be I’ve traveled all around the world and stayed at many hotels I cannot reiterate how this staff is the best I’ve ever encounteredOn a side note: They we’re beginning construction when we stayed there, the construction team was not courteous or professional, this should not reflect on the hotel though

Branden Williams

When we got back to the room on the first it was definitely colder than we’d like it so we turned the heat up before going to bed During the night all 3 of my children woke up crying for to cold When I checked the thermostat the set temp was 72 and the actual temp was 63

When I called the front office the best they could do was have maintenance “check on it in a few hours when they arrive” We check out in a few hours Smh

Great Marriott to stay atExceptional customer service, Chelsea their general manager went above and beyond to make sure my accommodations exceeded my expectationsThank you staff, will stay here again

Qualisha Zyhier

The General Manager, Chelsea Simms was beyond unprofessional and rude I am only left to assume that her extreme disrespect was related to my ethnic name, as there was no other cause for her curt nature I called 2 days prior to check-in to cancel the first of 3 nights due to a change of schedule

She speedily said she would cancel the night but still charge me When asked to repeat, she did so evem faster and ended by calling me, “Hun” I corrected her, and asked what the cancellation policy is She told me it’s in my email repeatedly I asked to speak with her manager, to which she responded, I am the General Manager” After further prompting she said her Regional Manager was not in and that I could call the hotel to speak with him the next day She refused upon multiple requests to give me his extension and when I asked for a number to speak with someone at the corporate office, she put me on hold for 10 minutes, only to return and give me the general automated customer service lineTo make matters worse, she deleted my entire reservation and rented my room to someone else, leaving me to separate my daughter from her teammates I have been a Marriott Rewards member for over a decade and have never experienced such disgusting treatment!
