) was also amazing She anticipate our needs and accommodated even without being asked To me, this is one of the hallmarks of excellenceLastly, I’ve stayed at many hotels and this experience certainly raised the bar Thanks again guys for making our celebration extra special We look forward to seeing you again next year

Great hotel in a perfect location! It was our first time in the northeast and everyone there was very welcoming Breakfast was great (waiter was a bit slow but we weren’t in a hurry anyway), pool was small but just what we needed, front desk staff also had great recommendations for spots to eat and check out Would 100% recommend and will stay again if in the area

Start with the positive The staff were great The room was reasonably clean and location great

Room spacious and accessible (parking too) The hotel itself as a brand was disappointing given the over $300 per night we paid for two people The room is very minimalist and this should support minimum costs It didn’t There was a single chair for two people, beds that moved and we e hard As a long term Hilton Honors person, I seek you out for consistency and quality I got less of both with this stay

CHIRAG PATEL

absolutely amazing! the hotel was clean and colorful, the front desk staff was excellent, the breakfast had options, and they had a little store up front with plenty of options for last minute needs the room was very spacious and had great design features, such as an area under the bed to put your luggage, and a desk that rolls under the TV table so it isn’t in the way and, it is only a 5 minute drive to the airport

Haley J

The hotel is very clean and modern, large tvs, good pressure in the showersHow ever, when booking- I paid extra for a room with a King bed, when I checked in they said they had sold out the kings, but “no extra charge for a queen”- I never received the difference for them switching my room Also the woman at check in was incredibly rude

Good hotel aesthetically, the staff was less than desirable

Everything you could ask for in a modern, classy hotel We got upgraded to the Presidential Suite with Waterfront View, and it was by far the most luxurious hotel room my wife and I have ever stayed at The hotel staff are very friendly, attentive, and willing to help with any needs

One thing that I especially appreciated was their quick responses to messages sent to the hotel through the Hilton Honors app; most Hilton properties don’t ever even respond at all Even before we arrived to the property, Nick was quick to answer my questions, and helped us get the upgrade The decor is fabulous, and the location is unbeatable We will definitely be coming back to Portland, and won’t stay anywhere else but here

T C

The hotel is fairly new and very clean We found the staff to be less than helpful then we had a question about our charges We are diamond members, were charged full price- but upon arrival informed that they weren’t performing daily housekeeping but only upon request

Told we had $30 daily credit for rooftop spot but day one it was closed kind of hard to reconcile this Still the room was clean and nice and we made due

Mary McQuaide

Great experience Stayed with my husband and our two kids (6 and 4) using our Hilton points Very very very nice hotel

Clean rooms, exceptional service at check in The woman who helped us at checkin was so friendly & nice to the kids, even gave them moose stuffed animals! We loved breakfast at the Salt Yard and you can’t beat the location We loved it and will be back

My husband and I had stayed at this hotel earlier in the year when we were house-hunting in the area We were up from New Jersey and the location was ideal and convenient We met Patrick during our first stay and he showered us with excitement as we exchanged stories and laughs

We recently were up for a last-minute one-night stay and Patrick couldn’t be more accommodating He graciously provided us with anything we needed during our stay, but his bright personality and genuine love for life will keep us coming back and continue recommending this hotel for our family and friends We look forward to stays here in the future and enjoying breakfast & coffee with the one and only Patrick

Steven Jones

I have the company pay for the hotel here because the rooms cost more than the perdium I receive, so when I checked in for 10 days they asked me for a card for incidentals $50 I’m fine with that, lots of hotels do that, but not here, they charged over $190000 on my personal debit card

Then they keep a hold on it for who knows how long, I told them 7-10 days is unacceptable This all just happened on Monday and it’s now Wednesday and it’s still on hold So resist giving them a card if possible Another thing that is very disappointing is the fact they don’t even offer free coffee anymore No continental breakfast But there’s a plus you can spend your money at the bistro, In other words, this stay has been very disappointing I don’t think that all the staff is incompetent maybe just one? But the rooms are nice, comfortable beds, & the bistro guy was very friendly

The location of this hotel is amazing, and you’re surrounded by tons of stores and shops They accommodate you with a shuttle drive to nearby places which is very convenient and kind The front desk staff are great and the shuttle driver is super sweet

I won’t ever forget the warm cookie, or two that I normally get when I’m here A great hotel stay Comfortable room and bed

Adam Lamontagne

I’ve never actually stayed at this hotel However, there’s a convention that’s held here every year that I attend/volunteer for and I don’t know man, I think we gotta give some serious props to this place for always being a fantastic venue The ground floor is very efficiently set up and easy to get around

And there’s a bit of a restaurant near the center of it that I always enjoy getting a burger from every year

Lisa H20s

Accommodations were top notchstaff top notch!!! dine in restaurant was awful!!!! Do not order the fish n chips

absolutely a frozen product we serve the same exact product at the chain restaurant I manage howeverfor $20 a plate they should be ashamed you can’t just slap it on some “newspaper” and send it out with prepackaged tartar sauce call it fish n chips however the staff was incredible considering they were short staffed and overwhelmed they made a special meal for our child that wasn’t on the menu (grilled cheese) definitely go backbut definitely eat elsewhere

This was a great place to stay! The location was great for our visit; we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go The rooms were really nicely furnished and clean The employees were really friendly and helpful

Our view was great We got breakfast from the restaurant and ordered off the menu instead of getting the buffet, which I think was the right move The food was great!Overall I highly recommend this hotel

Stephanie Z

We recently have stayed at several Holiday Inns and I have to say, this one was very nice Recently renovated rooms (although our bathroom was quite small and tub outdated, but clean), friendly front desk staff, and the shuttle driver offered to drop us off or pick up from downtown if we wanted Parking was on-site and convenient (spaces are tight but what one would expect for a parking garage)and the location made it easy to walk downtown

I recommend booking a room with a view of the bay Great views!

Robin Field

Overall had a pretty good stay at this hotel The staff I interacted with were all very personable and nice, and went out of the way to make sure you felt safe or helped you if you needed something The room I stayed in was very clean, and stocked with supplies as well

The pool area was also very well kept The breakfast in the Port of Call was also inexpensive and tasted good! The only things I can note as possible negatives are the ongoing construction they are doing between the hours of 9:30 AM to 5 PM, but if like me, you were here to vacation and explore, you most likely aren’t in the hotel for these hours where it would be an issue, but something that should be noted Due to this construction parking in the G2 level of the connected parking garage is very difficult, but there is another connected parking lot if that one is full/no spots are available Otherwise I have nothing but good to say, and recommend for an incoming traveler!

Dr. Phil

In advance I have to say that this stay cost about US$ 600 per night On our vacation to New England my wife and I visited beautiful Portland, Maine and were really looking forward to staying at the AC Hotel by Marriott Downtown Waterfront The hotel is nicely situated at the port in the middle of a newly developing living and working quarter

The design is modern and of seemingly high quality but unfortunately that’s where the niceties have to end Upon arrival we dropped off our car and proceeded to check-in The welcome was businesslike and we should have been suspicious when we were asked if we would like our room cleaned The only other information freely offered was that they have a happy hour Nobody offered to show us our room or to help us with our luggage even though it was obvious that I am disabled and walking with a crutch Upon entering the room the first thing we noticed was that the bed was all crumpled with hair on the pillows and sheets and that the shower was dirty We decided to take a small walk before unpacking, told the employee at the reception about the dirt and went our way When we returned the bed was freshly made and the shower cleaned Unfortunately they only took care of the affore mentioned points and didn’t give the room a once over because when we wanted to put our stuff in the wardrobe we noticed a layer of dust accumulated in at least a couple of weeks of not cleaning I used a small towel to clean the wardrobe and the previously white towel ended up being beige – yummy! At breakfast many glasses were covered in greasy fingerprints, most cups weren’t really clean and crumbs lay on the table When people were finished with their breakfast the employee shook out the place mat on the floor and that was that The buffet itself was small haphazardly put together with open cardboard boxes left in the corner and they actually didn’t even serve cappuccino I could carry on describing even more problems (not refilling shower gel, no free face masks, stains everywhere, loudly humming minibar) but I think everyone got the pictureIn addition it’s one of these hotels where the designers thought it would be nice to place the bathroom in the middle of the room Looks great but even though I’m married for more than 15 years I appreciate a real door when using the toilet to have some privacy but that’s more or less a personal thingThe whole place propagated a feeling of negligence and disinterest even though this hotel could be a real gem if managed better I can imagine that they encounter problems finding employees due to COVID but I’m not prepared to pay 600 US$ per night for this kind of non-service At least they should have lowered the rates Next time we’ll stay somewhere else!

Lisete McDonough

It was nice and clean, convenient walk to places The downfall was the actual rooms and the layout The bathroom has a sliding door with no seal and no privacy

I had to leave the room anytime my husband had to use the bathroom because there was no bathroom privacy at all Bathroom noises echoed through the room and the sink is outside of the bathroom, and that was odd to us

Not sure why there are complaints; this is a nice hotel Price was about on par with what something that’s NOT Motel 6 runs these days Our room was clean, (and YES it had a bathtub??) beds were comfortable, and the staff we dealt with were all pleasant

One minor issue was the A/C making wheezing sounds all night but again, a minor issue We made use of the salt water pool which was very clean (We were there for over two hours and had it to ourselves) Free shuttle from and to the airport was great We had breakfast in the restaurant and it was good although the menu is small

All Adds

Overall it was very nice The room was very clean and quiet with comfortable beds and linens A nice big smart TV that you could watch comfortably in bed, and a nice walk-in shower

Location is private and quiet The staff was very friendly and helpful The restaurant was not so impressive, drinks were very average and food was not hot enough

Roberta Tibbetts

We stayed two nights for a wedding Attention should be given to the guest rooms as well as bathroom supplies in both guest rooms and common bathrooms The rooms are dated and not as I would expect of a Sheraton and the price

Obvious struggle for adequate and knowledgeable employee service The two bugs and one worm in our bathroom was unexpected in a Sheraton Our room was on the handicapped floor but the rise of the ramp floor created difficulty for more than me to maneuver The room door is narrow and heavy for wheelchair accessibility The height of the marble stoop on the entrance/exit to the room makes getting a wheelchair over it difficult We ate two meals in the restaurant and were pleased with both the food and the service The activities of the wedding went well, but, again, a shortage of staffing was evident for set up Over all, we enjoyed the event

Me and my family chose to stay at this hotel for four nights Throughout our entire experience in Portland, they were able to help us greatly with our visit When checking in, the workers at the front desk gave me and my brother both a stuffed lobster for free to keep

We then also had asked for a room that showed the bay nearby We were able to get a view that showed the intersection nearby as well as the bay, which me and my brother both loved looking at without any extra cost The food downstairs was well cooked and quickly made The only downside was having to pay to eat there, but that seems to be how every hotel in that area is We also loved the location of the hotel The location is in a great place to see the mail boats, tugboats, ferry, and big container ships enter and exit the bay My overall two favorite things were how nice the cleaning people were If you were nice to them, they always made sure to treat you with respect and have a smile on their faces And my final favorite thing was how quickly the valet parking was Our family has never used valet parking before, so we were very impressed with how quickly the valet people were We never saw them just sitting around and talking once They always made sure to help us as quickly as possible and would even run to get our vehicle for us to make sure we weren’t waiting too long This hotel is truly my favorite hotel I have stayed in Most hotels do good at certain things and lack at others, but this hotel overall was amazing at everything we wanted

James Brad Gardella

Perfect location, staff was friendly Parking is not mentioned in the hotel pricing, $30 Valet Only or park on the street & pay the meter Yes, most of Portland is this way

A hotel already charging for your stay, $30 additional is something that should be mentioned The Complimentary breakfast was less than acceptable, out to breakfast!! Room itself was nice, but the gap around door let in light and all noise from hall

Paul Dudley

Drove my mom’s car from Florida to Portland, Maine nonstop As I got closer I started dialing hotels in the old port area so I could get a good meal and night of sleep After several attempts to speak with a human versus robot at other hotels Britney at the Hampton Inn was the first to answer the phone

I was driving and my nerves were shot but she was patient, kind and the friendly voice I needed at the time Upon arrival I was greeted by James, Kayla and the rest of the staff who made my couple of nights there one of the best getaways I’ve had in years, I did not want to go home Great location, reasonable prices, beautiful rooms, amazing team members and free breakfast I have reservations to go back later this month I can’t wait!

Perfect location in Portland Unique The Valet and front desk service was excellent; well above average and did not seem to expect anything in return

Very nice Gym is very nice only gripe is that they don’t open until 8am be sure it’s part of their Spa area even though it’s free Also, although I’m not a Spa person, it didn’t seem that nice for a Spa Maybe because the night before after they closed at 6:10pm, we showed up to check out the gym (unknowing that they were closed) and the lady was kind of sharp with us not allowing us to peak in to see the gym Restaurant breakfast was very good Coffee is excellent too Service was exceptional The lounge had a nice, warm gas fireplace that we enjoyed sitting at and eating a lobster roll takeout with chowderOverall a 5 star review is deserved considering what looks to be the alternatives locally I’d probably go back here due to the excellent location and front desk/valay/restaurant service

Emma Hurlbert

We had such an amazing time staying and attending a wedding here The staff is so kind and helpful, they always have someone at the front desk so you never have to wait long for support As an out of towner, this location is ideal for walking to shops, restaurants and the piers, and the hotel valet service was perfect on cold days to avoid driving around for street parking

The hotel bars are operated by knowledgeable tenders and we enjoyed many a conversation at bothThank you, Portland Regency! We hope to be back again soon!

Keith Howanitz

Great location by many shops and the port, short walk to Duck Fat & Eventide Oyster Co Had a room with balcony, which was nice with the cool weather, can see a narrow sliver of the port to the left Room was large and comfortable

Bathroom ceiling is short, might be a very tight fit for anyone for 6’6″ Good coffee in the morning, and very friendly staff Parking is extra

Our weekend stay at the Press Hotel could not have been better Our daughter decided to elope and we had to scramble to make arrangements EVERY

SINGLE INTERACTION we had with the staff was TOP NOTCH! The valet service was prompt, courteous, and helpful The front desk was amazing at check in (upgrading my daughters room, adding flowers, and sparkling wine!) and were welcoming and added so much to our celebratory mood The bartender overheard they were getting married and opened a bottle of champagne for a toast Our server for dinner was also fast, efficient, and very friendly The attendants at the coffee bar in the morning were courteous, helpful, and happy! Not to mention, we had reserved a bunch of rooms for later in the year, but when plans changed, we had to cancel Trish was so helpful and understandingand patientI honestly have not experienced this level of customer service in a long time! Our stay was amazing!!

Incredible hotel Perfect location The history of the old Portland Press Herald is felt throughout the property

From the valet to the front desk to the restaurant staff – first-rate hospitality Professional and friendly yet not stiff and cookie-cutter The place has personality and charm UNION restaurant is a must Great cocktails The duck and octopus were superb as was the Lobster Benedict for breakfast Abbie – thanks for the great service! Clean rooms with a contemporary feel Comfortable bedding that smelled like fine detergent rather than the over-bleached smell you often get in hotels Portland is such a cool town – this spot is a great place to hang your hat and relax while on your stay

Zoe Varricchio

I couldn’t have been happier with our recent stay at the Press Hotel We booked the Penthouse Suite for our wedding weekend – it was breathtaking The spacious room was perfect for gathering friends and family for celebrations

The hotel is in a perfect location to walk the cityEvery member of the hotel staff I encountered (from the valets to guest services staff and bartenders) was incredibly helpful, accomodating, and friendly We will definitely be returning to visit The Press Hotel again soon!

Good location being walking distance to most points of interest within the area Lack a formal driveway / drop off location The room we got the beds and shower were small

AC was strong and temperature could not get higher than 74 The lady at the bar helping at breakfast was nice the 3 times I was there A gentleman at the front desk thought I was a delivery boy when I asked for plates for my food

Nicole Joseph

The food was SO good! My husband is vegan, and was so impressed with his burger! The bedding was very comfortable (especially after a long 22 hour drive with three kids under 4) Audie Murphy (Manager) MADE IT HAPPEN for us— 2 cribs for the babies, checked in with us during the stay, and had treats for the kids waiting after expressing how much trouble we went through trying to find a hotel in the area with 2 cribs) He was so attentive to us and generous

He is a gift to the hospitality industry and the Westin is very fortunate to have him on their team

Michael Welles

The hotel was was very nice Aaron at the front desk is the Best! Great ideas for dinner and things to do Everyday he worked always said hello how is everything

My daughter and I felt so welcome I have read the reviews how parking is so bad this is not true at all The garage is right next door very easy it is $30 a day but very convenient We spent the week in 1104 and had an awesome time thank you Aaron for your outstanding customer service

Don’t bother coming in unless you’re from a privileged walk of life Made a reservation 6 weeks before we were there and told we could only sit on the porch if we came at 5 pm Arrived at 4:50 pm to an empty restaurant

We were seated in the back When I said I requested outside seating and that is why we are there at 5 pm the hostess told me they can’t accommodate a party our size (9) on the porch and if I want a view sit on the side of the table where you can see outside Was annoyed but had our dinner We spent over 700 dollars on sub par food When we went to the lawn to enjoy a drink after dinner I noticed that there was a party of 10 who had just arrived and was seated on the porch 2 hours after our arrival When I went to the bathroom I mentioned something to the hostess who called over the manager I said I wanted to provide feedback if they could give me the information for the food and beverage manager The manager of the evening spoke down to me and was extremely rude cutting me off several times saying the party on the porch were customers for over 20 years It is very clear unless you’re a regular you are not valued and you should take your business elsewhere When those customers of 20 years no longer are around they’ll most likely have no more new customers

Best hotel and restaurant on the east coast! No really, the staff is just absolutely wonderful and the food is top notch Only thing I wish they did was get more creative with the menu, but for an everday person, the menu is great, with lots of options to choose from 10/10 view (best at sunset) and the whole experience is so charming

Awesome inn and staff, clean, professional, short boardwalk to awesome beach, Dog friendly, we keep going back every year Could not get the room we wanted as everything was booked, so accepted the corner suite we were not sure if we would like it, as it overlooks the parking lot and a field Found it to be a super nice room, it was easy to get loaded/unloaded and coming/going as there was a door right outside, nice soaking tub, and a great value

Didn’t mind not having the ocean view as it was only 20 steps around the building to see the ocean anyway, got room service from the Sea Glass, multiple times, was good each time

One the nicest 4 star resorts, by far (not all 4 stars are equal)! We will be back The 1 bedroom suites are wonderful – facing the ocean Ground floor is special because of the large patio facing the ocean although there was some noise from the upstairs guests walking

The accommodations and use of space displayed a touch of elegance with a desire to fulfill all the needs of a long-term visitor (his and her closets, TV chairs, and plentiful drawers in the bedroom) The space is expertly configured with no waisted areaOutside the large bedroom is a living room (separated by a heavy wood pocket door) which contains a fireplace surrounded by a small sofa and 2 comfy chairs The living room area also has a dining room table that seats 4 and a small kitchen with a coffee maker, full refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, sink, and dishes A counter separates the kitchen and the dining room tableThe room looks far bigger because the picture windows overlook the ocean and a welcoming front porch that includes a sofa and chairs for outdoor relaxation

Absolutely amazing staff – the receptionist was very friendly, the restaurant staff was FANTASTIC – drinks were yummy and the food was scrumptious! Thank you guys!!!The room was very good size, however the bed isn’t anything special Goose Down comforter without a duvet

YUCK! The room was cold the bathroom had some hairs laying around that were definitely not ours 😅🤣😂 We couldn’t fall asleep for a solid hour, because there were some noises coming from unknown sourcesThe breakfast was good and satisfying

This is a solid downtown Portland/Old Port hotel, especially in the off-season It’s still a great location in the summer, but I’m sure noisier with some of the rooms facing Fore Street To their credit, my room came with a noise machine which goes a long way in my experience

I was on the 4th floor facing Fore Street It wasn’t really an ocean view so much as the ocean was in that direction, but the height put me above most nearby office windows so I could lay in bed in the morning, next to the big window, and watch the seagulls fly around the historical buildings The room had a nice set-up with a couch for hanging if you had anyone over Also, a mini-fridge, at a hotel in the Old Port! Give me a fridge over a mini-bar any day of the week so I can keep my own leftovers and beer stash instead of paying $10 for a waterIt’s not a brand new hotel My room (422) had one or two stains on the carpet and the shower could use a once over for the mildew that gets in between tiles, but otherwise was clean – certainly no bugs or anythingReally nice staff all around I’m actually local but my girlfriend and I plan on staying here in the off-season next year just for a mid-week break Not a bad place to stay at all, especially if you can get a deal relative to the new, expensive hotels on Commercial

Barclay Smyly

Excellent view of Portland Harbor from the “King Bed Balcony Peaks Island View” (see pics) Room was very clean Friendly staff

Solid breakfast (scramble eggs, home fries, yogurt parfait, French toast sticks, sausage, bagels & juices)Glad the option for all day parking in the garage next door is offered for $30 a nightThis is a good value for parking in this downtown area Other parking lots/structures in this area charge $8 an hourMy one request is for the hotel to power wash the Seagull poop off the building on the other side of the balconies on the 7th FL maybe once a week (see last picture, didn’t crop it out of this pic, so you know what I’m talking about)I know this is a hotel in a harbor town, but, this is my one constructive criticismBesides that everything was wonderful and I would definitely stay here again

Beautiful place The staff was great There was a new worker, so we just gave her grace

We had ordered salads at the pool bar & they weren’t what was advertised It was a farmer’s vegetable salad, so we expected a variety of vegetables, but it was standard lettuce & cherry tomatoes No dressing was provided She then gave us mayonnaise, and we told her it wasn’t dressing Then when she brought dressing, it was the wrong kind No big deal just wasn’t great due to our group’s timing The next morning, my friend’s eggs weren’t cooked well & my breakfast potatoes were cold They swapped them out, but it threw our timing off again Thankfully, we had our dinner meal elsewhere The location and cleanliness of the room made up for it The accommodations were beyond 5 star We’d definitely go back & maybe cook our own food or seek out the other restaurants for our meals

The room was spacious, the bathroom was the best feature Stayed here this past weekend with my 2 boys and husband Loved exploring the area

ISSUES: Non-dairy powder creamer in the rooms, why?? 1 This is unhealthy and cheap! Non-dairy cream does not exist in nature! give customers a choice, put some REAL cream for $500 /night 2 All coffee options are dark roast, even the coffee in the lobby was bitter(choices🤷‍♀️) 3 No house sleepers or robes , after 4 showers, the bathroom is misty with slippery floors 4 No full length mirror 5 No windows so you cant see outside

Delphine Gueren

We loved it Stayed at the inn for 4 nights It is so nice to stay on an island

The staff was very friendly and helpful The pool and hot tub were really nice Our room was awesome for the 3 of us Our 13 year old son loved the arcade with the bowling and pool table We loved exploring the island and we most of all enjoyed the quiet We were prepared for the lack of food service but they had a nice breakfast sandwich and great barbecue on Monday night We loved it Definitely worth it

We stayed at the Inn and had a wonderful time I love the way the room was decorated and the balcony overlooking Portland harbor was the perfect spot to people watch, relax, read a book, and watch the sunset Breakfast was included, tasty, and the wait staff were all helpful

The housekeeping staff were also wonderful The location was conveniently close to the beaches and nice restaurants I would definitely come back again

Ellen Berlin

The in Is lovely It is convenient to the ferry and well situated near the busy part of the island

The rooms are very nice and comfortable, albeit spare self furnished Some have balconies overlooking the bayAnd that leads to my one big complaint It would have been really nice to sit n the balcony and watch the goings on, read a book, and the sunset But the balconies have hardly any furniture! Mine had 2 simple chairs — not even a little table to put a drink/snacks on And an ottoman to kick up my feet would have been even better It’s really should be one of the features of the room and it was a bit of a disappointmentA breakfast credit came with the room which was a nice surprise No one mentioned it to me at check in Luckily I read some of the materials in the room and I figured it out And the breakfast was very goodOverall it was fine Not exceptional For the price I expected a little more,

Kimberly Cough

Stopped by to grab a late lunch/early dinner with my family because we were starving We were sat almost immediately and the service was excellent All of the interactions I had with the staff were lovely

I had the haddock sandwich and hummus appetizer (pictured below) and both were delicious The food came out quickly, hot, and still tasted amazing

I am a traveling nurse During my stays, the hotel was clean and quiet I love the little kitchen

It is well stocked with kitchen items you need They even have a hot plate you can use The bed is comfortable I check in and out online and use the digital key so have not dealt with the front desk staff so I won’t comment on that One weekend I forgot my sound machine (I work nights) It’s so quiet, I didn’t miss the white noise at all I highly recommend this home away from home to my fellow traveling nurses! I won’t stay anywhere else

Randy K

Everything was clean Room was modern and had everything I would need for my stay Breakfast was typical for this chain, workout room had enough for a light workout

Has laundry machines on site but I did not need to use on this stay Staff was friendly I only needed to stay one night before my return flight home Please read all reviews and evaluate

Horrible experience in my life ever I booked too queen rooms with the kitchen I am traveling with 3 kids and my wife

I woke up at 1 am in the morning with some itching in legs and my back First I thought it was mosquito bites but the itching got worse and I checked to make sure if there were bed bugs I looked online to verify and sure it was bed bugs and there were quite a few under the mattrees I called the front desk immediately and she says first we can offer new clean sheets and declines to give me another room and tells me they are all booked We had to call several times and the housekeeper guy comes in to the room He took some pics too I am terrified cause this is my first experience with bed bugs and I have 3 kids and I was very worried Finally they did switch me to another room but me and my wife could not sleep all night I have bites all over in my torso, legs , forehead I still have itching and bites The night staff told that there was no manager on duty and he will come in 10 am We wait until 10 am and the morning receptionist tells us that she is not sure when he is coming? What a joke, how can a manager be not called even at night in this situation? So she gave us his number and would promise that he would call us on Monday but never go a call back I am health care professional and i should report to to the health department Such a horrified experience and dirty place that no one should stay here The housekeeping guy who cleaned the room at night time with bed bugs is serving breakfast in the morning too?

Beautiful hotel The rooms are big and clean They had the best creams and shampoos I have ever tried in a hotel

They also had amazing wine and local snacks I was so impressed The decor in the rooms and hotel were beautiful I would definitely go back We had dinner at the restaurant attached and it was delicious yet expensive The best part of out experience there was the attention we got from the gentleman at the front desk, Mauro He was thoughtful, entertaining and helpful We had a fantastic time Excellent service

Hotel fell short of average expectations Other similar priced hotels would have been more comfortable and more pleasant experienceROOM- Basic and noisy

My room (#003) was located in the sub basement The furnishings were basic, which is tolerable if not for the noise Floors are thin and floor creaks, footsteps (worse if the person had shoes on) and furniture being moved in the room above me went on throughout the night through 2 am I saw that this issue had been raised in previous reviews but still not fixed In this sub basement apparently odors also linger because one room brought fast food back and the oily fried food smell lingered all day and nightSERVICE- Lacks attention to detail Reception usually only had one person and service was not delivered with a smile (a minimum expectation) My friend asked for decaf coffee and person said “we don’t have any” She asked if they could get it for the next day He replied “I don’t think so,” and that was it Each morning you’re sent a text message on whether you’d like the room cleaned That’s great but one day I replied “yes after 12:30” Housekeeping started knocking on the door two hours before and kept returning until I messaged reception again to have them wait till my indicated time One morning the person working there was blasting music and dancing I’m ok with that but wondered if guests still in their rooms (given the thin walls and floors) appreciated the noise

Booked a night at random – long time Portland resident The Francis was absolutely perfect I had room 304 and it was also perfect

Staff was friendly and not overbearing They text and communicate well – which I enjoy a lot They let me know that the desk person leaves at 10pm but gave me all the info I needed Room was small, but I was there to sleep and relax not hang out inside lol Its so close to all the dope west end bars and restaurants Felt like I was staying at my rich grandmas low key, which is awesome lol Vibe was times a million also Will absolutely stay again and recommend to all friends and family
