Pros -clean rooms with great amenities Thick towels, very soap as well as a big screen TV I slept in till 10:30 it was so comfortable

Staff was accommodating in checking me in and offered me drinking waterCons Gates were on the fritz and when you called for assistance it went to a number that led to nowhere Could use better signage as to the parking lot Would recommend for future stays

This place was clean, the staff was pleasant and friendly and it was all around an excellent experience They were understaffed the day we came, however we were still blown away by everything here The view and the rooms are amazing

Beds are comfy, the restaurant was clean, everything was near perfect Wait times were a little more than usual but that’s no fault of the staff hereI thank the whole team here for making our vacation a great experience šŸ™‚

We booked three queen suites for 5 nights each several months in advance of our trip to San Mateo, in order to accommodate each of our adult guests with his or her own bed during our family reunion and college graduationWhen I checked in, I was informed there were no suites available at the hotel, even thought my confirmed reservation showed these suites, and I had booked directly through Marriott Ā  I was informed that the “corporate Marriott website” oversold rooms, and there was nothing that the local hotel could do to accommodate me

I was also told that no suites were available for the full extent of our stayĀ  Ā Instead, I was offered standard queen rooms, plus “we’ll wave your $30 parking fee”Ā  This left us without enough beds, and without the sitting area we had counted onAfter over an hour of negotiations, we were finally assigned four standard queen rooms for the same price we were to originally pay for the three queen suitesĀ  I felt truly sorry for the young woman at the front desk, who was put in a really bad situation by Marriott managementĀ  I have frequented Marriott since 1982, and have never seen such a botched reservationĀ  Back in the day, Marriott was known for its excellent qualityĀ  But no moreAlso, be forewarned that there is no longer any restaurant or room service options for diningĀ  There is a small mini-mart with a very, very limited selection of prepackaged food at high prices Ā  Thankfully, there was a Trader Joes within walking distance, but any other dining options are at least 15 miles away by car in San MateoWe are also trying to adjust to the new reality of not having hotel rooms cleaned on a daily basisĀ  Apparently, guests now have to request that their room be cleaned, and even that is minimal at best (eg, take out the trash, remake the bed)Ā  Dirty glasses are not replaced Ā  And at this hotel, you can only request maid service during the week, not on weekendsĀ  From what I understand, this new cleaning policy is actually harder on the hard-working cleaning staff Ā  I stayed at a different Marriott last December, and they seemed to do a much better job of managing the cleaning service without having to clean every dayThe best thing I can say about this Marriott is that it had a lively bar, and a decent pool, hot tub, and work out facilitiesĀ  It is also convenient to Ā US 101 and a short drive to downtown San Mateo

If you are ever in need of a warm, clean, and comfortable hotel, Larkspur Landing is the place to stay The staff was so nice and professional The rooms were clean, comfortable, and fully equipped

There was a full kitchen, desk, ironing board and iron, and hair dryer They offer free Wi-Fi service for their guests and continental breakfast with coffee or tea in the early morning There is an additional $13 parking fee If I’m ever in need again, of a room in the San Francisco area, this is where I’ll stay

Overall, the hotel seemed kind of run down and poorly maintained I started off in room 324, but moved to 325 after a couple of days because the bathroom was consistently filling up with cigarette smoke Room 325 didn’t have ventilation issues, but did have a number of other issues such as a cracked stove top, missing cabinetry facing, a cabinet door that wouldn’t close all the way under the sink, and a couple other cosmetic issues

Outside of the room, the hallway feels dated and the second elevator was inoperative for over two weeks during my stay Even the elevator inspection was dated with a document posted stating that the previous certificate was still valid until an inspector could be dispatched This wouldn’t be so alarming except that the document dates from 2019 I know there was a pandemic and all in between then an now, but we’re not exactly in the middle of a lockdown as of May, 2022

They supplied extra pillows when asked The cups in the room were real glass not throw away paper ones- which was nice The breakfast was omelets, sausage, make your own waffles, yogurt and fruit The drinks included juice, tea, milk, coffee and filtered waterI would for sure recommended this hotel if your looking for a safe place away from the main downtown part of San Francisco or flying in

Great hotel for a conference! Stayed here for four nights for a work conference Check in was super easy using the online system and I was able to get my key card right away when I got to the hotel Rooms are clean and the hotel is beautiful with a large glass atrium over the center

Mandatory quiet hours from 9pm to 7am make this a great stay for a business trip! Plenty of elevators so no waiting in the lobby Pool on-site but it doesn’t seem crowded, even in late July Great conference room with space for a huge event, easily over 200 people Conference food is higher end as well with 3 courses and two meat options at lunch and full coffee service in the morning and afternoon snack as well Would definitely stay here again!

Debbie Cusic

A very very pleasant stay Quick efficient check-in by a very nice person who was not only courteous but helpful All the staff was friendly and seemed happy

The room was very quiet and could be made very dark Everything was sparkling clean The bed and pillows were comfortable The cake cup coffee maker was handy Would love to stay again

T. Farris

Outstanding Hotel Experience Gotta mention the Atrium area is first rate with the restaurant, coffee, and snack areas with tons of seating in a seemingly open air environment Stayed four nights and paid extra for a Suite

The suite had a bedroom with a full bathroom attached separate area in the bathroom with the tub and a television Separate glass shower and private toilet room Not to mention, a half bathroom next to the suites entrance door The kids used the sofa bed in the living room Tons of seating besides to sofa and loveseat in the suite Four different chairs in the living room area An eight person dining room table Also a three chair island in the kitchen area Service staff was excellent and friendly Would definitely recommend and return to stay Big fan of the Hyatt brand, stayed at several Hyatt Places all over and finally stepped up our stay with a Regency Only draw back is the parking structure is very dirty A lot of trash on the ground and darkly lit Needs better lighting at night

Nice lobby and staff, indoor pool and fitness area Nice view from the room The view was of a river like part of the bay, there was a garden outside with a gate only accessible in and out with a hotel key

The lobby was huge and had plenty of charging ports, a table for business, chairs, etc The indoor pool was nice and warm and has a handicap lift Thats the pros The cons are very hard beds, no microwave in the rooms, everything costs money including the breakfast and not a flat fee, by individual product The air conditioner thermostat is on the wall, but it runs a very old window metal one like you see in old hotels so of course it makes loud noises turning on and off The beds were so hard i slept on the floor instead Bathroom was spacious but the toilet was only about 6 inches off the floor with no rails or anything to help you up and it was in a nook, so no stretching out legs or having disabilities with that toilet So 50/50

Jason Smith

The rooms are good size and plenty of room and furnitureThere is a pool and jacuzzi, an exercise room and a couple gas grill if you want to cook something on the grillThe website says free grab n go continental breakfast, but they actually have a hot breakfast, eggs, potatoes, hot oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, muffins, juices, hot chocolate and coffee

Did some fishing right outside the building and also a great spot for a leisurely walk along the waterVery good value for the money

Rajai Dias

I donā€™t know why this hotel is highly rated! Itā€™s an old residence inn that needs a lot of updating! Our room needed a lot of TLC! We got a double queen suite for the night Beds were ok for comfort All the handles for the doors in our rooms were falling off

The chair legs to the dining room table were all wobbly We had to leave a chair outside our room so they can take it away since it was one seat away from being broken We found old, funky, and filthy slippers under our bedā€” gross! The place seemed very short staffed and it was hard to get towels or anything else you needed I honestly feel like I should overpaid for this place Only pro: cable TV

The check in process was very seamless, and I was able to check in early The general aesthetic of the lobby was fresh and spunky The rooms were adequately designed in a rather stylishly simple, yet functional set up

The decor was modern and cute The beds were very comfortable The gym was decent , and served the purpose for a short stay There were lots of food and dining options with walking distanceā€¦ the location was great The staff was very polite and helpful and rather accommodating The stay overall was wonderful

Lauren

Clean, modern rooms and big lobby, standard size rooms with very nice bathrooms! Things to be known that werenā€™t issues for us whatsoever, but we didnā€™t realize when booking: no microwave in the room and there was just a shower (no tub) Iā€™m sure the room description was clear about that but I didnā€™t make the booking so didnā€™t realize until arriving The staff were super friendly to me and my little kids, great parking and the pool added some fun for the kids

Kristen Kirksey

I had an excellent stay at Aloft Check in was fast The room was spacious and very clean

Decor is fun Less than 5 minutes to SFO Though I did not utilize the airport shuttle I saw it operating throughout the day and night The best part of my stay was enjoying the amenities, including games, couches, bar, and cafe in the inviting lobby space Pool and outdoor space were great too Right across the street from park where you can watch planes take off and land This is a great choice if you are traveling with kids like I was I will 100% stay again

Great hotel, especially for Airline Commuting personnel Has a decent restaurant, however, only open for breakfast and dinner, not lunch There is a nice Diner next door, with primarily Asian food, or sandwiches for inexpensive dining in or takeaway

Hotel Staff are always accommodating If you have any issues during your stay, the staff respond immediately No 30 minute wait at this place to get something addressed! They are on it, right away! Convenient 30 minute shuttle 24 hrs to/from airport No laundromat, unfortunately Many hotels offer free or inexpensive washer/dryer accommodations, and I would love it if this hotel also offered, however, it is not offered

Erika Solomon

I hosted a family reunion here The space was great for all our events and space where we just hung out was comfortable and great The hotel staff were wonderful and friendly, bartender made good drinks

Rizsa in events was phenomenal! She was very responsive and helpful in planning throughout the year She worked with and accommodated all my needs related to my room block at a great room rate, staying within our determined budget, food selections by dietary needs, and meeting room set-up If she wasn’t available, other event staff were assets and assisted if needed I highly recommend this hotel for an event It is close to the airport and there it is across the street from the Bay that has a beautiful view and a place to walk along leisurely or for exercise

Denise Keefe

The airport shuttle was on time and comfortable The check in desk attendant was very positive and accommodating The hotel is comfortable and a great location in proximity to easy access to the airport and running paths

The room was clean and quiet The complimentary coffee in the lobby with large cups were greatly appreciated as was the delicious cookie on arrival I am making my next reservation here at the Doubletree, so I will be back this weekend

Iā€™m absolutely shocked that this is rated as ā€œfour starsā€ Letā€™s start with the positive first, there is a shuttle to and from the airport and the people at the reception were kind and very friendly The view from the main lobby with the big windows is nice as well

However, the shuttle is extremely rickety and loud and took almost 15 minutes waiting while we saw all the other airport hotel shuttles pass by several times The closest thing I can compare it to is a shuttle in our travels to third world countries, really quite decayed The check-in was fast but we just needed a clean and comfortable spot to lay our heads for one night (we arrived at 1 am) so the room and bed was of paramount importance The decor of the entire hotel is like a slightly nicer version of an outdated Olive Garden When you arrive to the room, hoping for some refuge there is a slight musty odor and you instantly feel claustrophobic Iā€™m 5,3 and can touch the ceilings Enough said Perhaps the biggest let down was the bed It was so very hard, like a summer camp cot I recall turning on my side and losing feeling in my arm because it was so hard, not good for side sleepers or any kind of sleeper for that matter My husband also pointed out the STAINS on the side of the bed, God only knows from what Disgusting and unhygienic The conditioner and shampoo in the bathrooms were attached to the wall, and the conditioner bottle was EMPTY And there was absolutely no body lotion to be found, no toiletries of any kind except a bar of soap Then, when I went to go call the front desk to request said conditioner, the phone was BROKEN so we had to call Marriott corporate and wait 7 minutes for someone to direct our call to the proper person Lastly, I was hoping that the breakfast included would be their saving grace and for the most part it was fine but I asked for a sunny side up egg and most of it was uncooked and not edibleOverall, I would not return and would highly advise Marriott to stop deceiving their customers into believing this is anything remotely related to a luxury 4-star hotel

Yvette Nameth

Update: after this review I managed to get in touch with hotel staff They were nice enough to switch my room quickly and the new room is smell free and fine Staff was exceptional when I was able to talk to them

Original: I just checked in Front desk was friendly My non-smoking room smells like cigar and air freshener Ive tried to call the front desk 4x to ask for a different room Calls 1-3 rang 10-15 times and I hung up Call 4 rang 40+ times with no answer Never again will I stay here Short staffed doesn’t mean don’t answer phones of paying guests So I’m in a nasty room

Josh Montero

As far as airport hotels go, the Marriott is a really nice one The rooms are well appointed and comfortable and there is a large open space on the ground floor to relax Now, nobody spends their vacation at an airport hotel, so you don’t need the amenities others do

I have flown out of SFO before the crack of dawn a couple times and just needed a place to spend the night before departure so I could get to the airport quickly (which helps because they have a free shuttle that runs 24/7) The bar is good, food isn’t bad at all for hotel dining If you’re in transit and need a place to crash after a late arrival or before an early take off, this is the spot

Nicole at Front Desk was very courteous and welcoming I checked in after midnight, and our airport shuttle unloaded about six room room accommodations She was alone and handled the situation efficiently and gave individual attention

Her demeanor invited our appreciation and humor at the situationI’m happy the breakfast buffet is back The staff serviced the full cafe, bar and extra-seating area gracefully and effectively

Daniel Wicker

Outstanding hospitality displayed by all staff The property is very clean, restaurant has excellent tasting food The decor of the interior of the hotel is very comforting

Lots of space for all business and event meeting needsExcellent location with 24/7 shuttle service and a Bed that is perfect for a good nights sleepThe manager has done an exceptional job by the way things are ran at this property and the way the hotel looks 5/5 rating from me and I look forward to returning again!

Sarah McCanna

Our room’s linens and carpets had stains all over The remote for the TV wouldn’t work The bathtub drain was clogged so we had to shower in shin deep water and the grout was moldy

No exhaust fan in bathroom and room wouldn’t cool down even with the AC set to 66 so it was hot and muggy The alarm clock in the room went off at midnight on our first night The beds were uncomfortable and the fridge was full of freezer frost and barely kept our drinks cold This room needs some serious attention and maintenance for it to be a comfortable or pleasant place to stay The pool and hot tub were our saving gracebut then the hot tub was shut down after our first day there We were given a parking ticket that we had to get sorted out because it was their mistake Also know that AFTER you book your room, you’ll get an email letting you know that parking is an extra $30 PER DAY The housekeepers were all so sweet and had great manners The front desk staff seemed as though it was an inconvenience that they had to be at work It’s rather unfortunate because this hotel has so much potential If all you’re interested in is a nice fitness area, a pretty pool and a convenient location then book a stay! If you’re looking for a clean and comfortable room, look elsewhere

Fantastic, near flawless hotel Service from start to finish was excellent Obviously the location cannot be best, especially for earlier morning flights and aviation geeks

The bed is extremely comfortable and easily induced a great night sleep Charging locations conveniently located next to bed and elsewhere throughout the room The bathroom is beautiful and offers generous space The fitness center is wonderful Iā€™ve already book several more nights at my new favorite hotel in all of California

Amy Connors

A phenomenal experience with pretty much all staff The check in staff always charming and seem to be great with kids as well The valet always quick and on the roll

The gift shoppe quick and fun The house keeping staff sweet and efficient The restaurant was really tasty and the bar equally fun and delicious For the two nights of my stay the noise was minimal and the beds were super cozy Can’t recommend enough

Rick Deckard

What can I say that other reviewers have not already elaborated on? Just a one night stay before our flight out to Logan this is so convenient! Step off the elevator to the tram and on to your gate! Top Shelf accommodations we had Room 943 Freeway side the double pane glass is so thick we didn’t hear any traffic at all All modern fixtures with huge Flat Panel I like how the master bath floor lights come on automatic as you walk towards the bathroom at night

The only con we experienced is the water pressure seemed a bit low for shower? Plenty hot but flow was restricted Linda in the Twin Crafts Market for a quick breakfast on the way to our flight was a shining star! Don’t lose Linda! We will back for just the Quail & Crane restaurant! Get the hearth roasted salmon dish The Best!

Very comfortable and homey feel to the hotel Staff is nice and accommodating No restaurant, so finding food or drinks is limited to a small stand by the reception (mostly frozen food)

Two things made the experience a little worse: breakfast was too basic, the omelettes didnā€™t taste well, boiled eggs were too cold Other options were cereal and toastSecond, as is the case with most hotels now, it seems to be a standard practice to limit room service to just towel change Covid is pretty much behind us and it should not be a justification for cutting services (without cutting prices too) We were offered a partial room cleaning every second day though But the hotel experience is lessened by limited serviceOverall a nice hotel and we will be returning (though probably find alternative breakfast places)

Katie Baker

Front desk staff is so professional and nice!! Very Clean rooms, cozy beds, with lots of pillows Very quiet at night too being on the 3rd floor I was worried about noise from above but it was very quiet When I arrived front desk lady was dealing with 2 total rude Karen’s and she handled them with such professionalism and grace

Safe well lit parking lot compared to other places in the area Will most definitely be staying there again!! Breakfast was great for the kids

Douglas Oakes

My family and I stayed 2 nights here while on a mini-vacation from Bakersfield There is so much to like about this place! Here’s a list (in no particular order of importance):1 Reasonably priced2

Excellent (& complementary) hot breakfast3 Quality climate control systems in the room Can’t tell you how many times I haven’t been able to get a hotel room to a comfortable temperature for sleeping4 Comfortable beds5 Shower comes on hot and with a strong spray6 Quiet and fairly uncrowded surroundings (even in San Fran!)7 Really good coffee!8 Plenty of space to sit and do some work in the lobby There’s even several floor plug-ins for your laptops9 Parking is comparatively cheap compared to other hotels in the area ($15/day)10 Rooms accommodated a family of 5 with ease (2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa)I hope other Home2Suites are similar to this one We will be on the look out for more of these in the future

Had read some reviews everything seemed okay The pictures looks super nice Everything was fine the front desk workers were super friendly

But when I got to the room it was so dark there was not ceiling lights only lamps, the beds were super uncomfortable Iā€™m not sure how old the bed are but they should change them up they make so much noise just by sitting on them I paid for breakfast for the 2 days it was pretty good But honestly I wouldnā€™t stay here again

I donā€™t know what is going on but ever since covid Hilton has gone from good to horrible! Now if youā€™re a diamond member you donā€™t get free breakfast but a $10 credit for a breakfast buffet thatā€™s is worse than the free one at Hampton Inn which is another hotel brand from Hilton!Treatment was horrible! No water in the room even though they have K-cups for coffee! I guess I have to make coffee with the water from bathroom sink šŸ˜’ and when I asked the housekeeper who was in our hallway she sent me down stairs because according to her she didnā€™t have any water yet I saw a bunch of it in her kart usually at check in thereā€™s water in the room for you to use to make coffee but not anymore or maybe just for certain pplHorrible bed! Uncomfortable! makes noises! Old mattress! No communication available over app or even when you call!! No one answers the phone!! I had to use my cell phone to call the hotel directly!!! The breakfast was horrible, cold food, and dry no service to the table so I settle for toast, fruit and a cup of coffeeAt checkout I was rudely told to drop the key to check out

in other words I had to we donā€™t care that you are waiting to speak to us!! I was actually wanting to speak to them about stay! Nothing like how was your stay or is there anything else I can do for you like other customers! This was my first time at this location and it will certainly be my last!

We booked here for the tail end of our honeymoon and they made us feel so celebrated and welcomed! Su was friendly and helped us to switch rooms when our original one wasn’t ready when we got there Kaiya and the desk staff gifted us breakfast and everyone was quick with a smile and a “congratulations” for us They gave us a beautiful card and because I am touched deeply by kindness, it brought me to tears

We had dinner in the on-site restaurant and it was actually really good! The salads are fresh with mixed greens and they were generous with the baby tomatoes instead of just putting one lonely sad one on there We had the chicken sandwich and it was great!A couple things to know:It isn’t THAT close to the airport Like, we walked it and it was kind of a haul They don’t have a shuttle, so just know what to expectThe rooms are clean and well-maintained It seems like it is in a business complex area, so it was a quiet and pleasant stayEveryone here is really great and I am so thankful we booked here Thank you for the happy memories!

Overall it was okay It has starbucks stand inside and made to order breakfast you can buy, and parking is convenient Towels are pretty thin and feel cheap and the water pressure is low which I didnt really like

Also saw lots of ants (stayed on first floor) in the bathroom and it seemed like it was infested in the shower drain area For the price, would expect more

I had the most pleasant experience at this Courtyard Marriott this past weekend I am a professional DJ and I service hotels quite often From AV, Weddings, and Private Events

Had lots of experiences dealing with managers and staffing By far, I loved the great customer service I receivedMy friend’s family hired me to DJ their family reunion Upon arrival for load-in I was personally greeted with a warm welcome from the staff A manager by the name of “Jackie” assisted me She was so so pleasant and kindThroughout the entire event, from setup to breakdown Jackie was on top of every single detail Both her and her staff was extremely helpful in every way My friend’s family also booked a bunch of rooms and they were all raving how great the staff was tooThe Food was also catered by the courtyard marriott I beleive it is called Bistro Cafe or bistro to go The rice pilaf and veggies were my fav I had some crispy French fries too and their coffee and desserts were greatI will stay at this hotel before my flights at SFO from now on They have a 24/7 shuttle service which comes and goes every 30 mins to SFO I also like how there are a ton of places to eat along side the main cross street called El Camino RealOnce again, Thank you Jackie and your team I could tell that you are a well respected leader and that your staff and colleagues adore youHave an amazing day Courtyard! Hotel itself is very clean This review is specifically for their front desk staff who are extremely unwelcoming When I walked up to the front desk, NONE of the three staff members working even bothered to say “welcome/hello/hi”, nope, not even a smile

This was a recurring issue throughout my stay They are not even helpful, when I asked a few questions about the area and food recommendations, the front desk people could not be bothered to answer, and instead were very dismissive Given the cost per night, and the newness of the hotel, it would be nice to have workers at the front desk who make a guest feel welcome Given that its the only hotel in of its quality in the area, guests are kind of locked into receiving the bad treatment Do better Marriott, the world is too hard, can you please employ folks who make business travelers feel more welcome?

Room was clean for the most part, except for some funky stain on floor near toilet and on the curtains I can guess what goes on in this hotel being so near a couple pharmaceutical companies, and the lobby bar being pretty busy However I was there with my son for drop off at SFSU and that was really convenient

Food was great in the restaurant, the wait staff was really nice, as well as the front desk crew The not so good is the water pressure in the rooms is barely strong enough to wash the soap I know weā€™re in a drought, but jeezus, after a long day of travel it would be nice to take a 3-5 min shower with some pressure

Yvette

Our bed had fresh pee on it And when I called downstairs the incompetent lady in the front desk basically said I had peed on it lol she asked me if I wanted fresh sheets (no I wanted to sleep on the old dirty ones ) then she said she would talk to her coworker and let me know

let me know what? If I can get fresh sheets? The big solution they had for me was just turn the mattress over So either they never changed the sheets from the previous guest or they saw it and just added fresh sheets over the pee and expected me not to notice Either way it was disgusting
