Staff was friendly and breakfast was very good! I’m only giving 4 stars because when I slept on the sofa bed, it wasn’t the comfiest It was flat and not a typical comfy bed like I am used to We drove hours from home towards our vacation stop and we’re very tired so I just wanted a little more comfort

Very clean and a good overnight stay

Jamie and Todd were fantastic They gave us a small tour when we arrived at the house We enjoyed their 4-5 happy hour with complementary wine

It was a cool way to meet other guests We left for Cumberland Island before we could stay for breakfast one of the days so they left us little goodies for breakfast instead The only downside of their location is that it’s on route to the paper mill so there’s semi trucks that pass late at night All in all, super accommodating B&B, nice breakfast, and open pool area They provided great hospitality and we would love to visit again!

Alex Coutras

The staff is amazing We celebrated our anniversary and Jamie helped facilitate every little surprise I had planned for my wife She had everything ready in the beautiful room for us when we checked in and gave great recommendations for restaurants in the area

The breakfast each morning are very good and being greeted by the friendly smiles of the staff and other guests made it that much better

FAITH HAFNER

Wonderful hosting in a lovely environment We eloped December 4th with much help from Jamie and Todd Jamie went out of her way to even find last minute hair and make up appointments for me

Todd did an awesome job decorating the Gazebo where we took our vows They have a Beautiful Home and are very welcoming It was wonderful to be in an environment where customer service is important Thank you so much for making our day beautiful and special

My mom and I stayed at the Addison on Amelia Island for my birthday week in May and loved our stay so much, we didn’t want to leave! Before we arrived, we were offered complimentary amenities to help celebrate the special occasion! We had the pleasure of getting to know our Innkeepers, Lisa & Ron who were so accommodating and make your stay so special in addition to Lisa and Ron who immediately greeted us and gave us a tour of the inn once we arrived, their adorable dog,Molly also greeted us as soon as we walked in! Lisa & Ron make you feel right at home and are consistently making sure you’re comfortable and content throughout your stay

Each morning is something to look forward to with home made and delicious breakfasts with fresh food from the farmers market This place is truly special right in the heart of the historic district and we will definitely be back!

Sonja Ardoin

The Addison on Amelia Island was a recommended lodging choice in a travel book I often use and it lived up to the hype! Lisa and Rob were extremely friendly, offered great recommendations throughout our stay for local dining options, and prepared wonderful breakfasts for us! The room was larger than expected, the bed was very comfortable, and I enjoyed the outdoor spaces (front porch, garden area) I also appreciated that there was access to complimentary water, soda, and coffee throughout our stay The location was also ideal – in walking distance of everything but a bit away to allow for some privacy and peace

They also had bikes available for use, which we did not take advantage of but is a great amenity for those who want to bike to the beach or around town I would stay here again and recommend that others consider The Addison too!

Abby Wiedman

The Addison was the perfect place for a wedding weekend! My bridal party and I spent the morning getting ready at this beautiful Bed and Breakfast The Addison staff was so friendly and accommodating to us as well as the photographer and videographer We had so much fun drinking champagne on the balcony and taking pictures in their gorgeous courtyard

After the wedding, my husband and I came back to a clean room and a sweet “celebratory” treat to kick off our mini honeymoon weekend Although there were plenty of guests staying at the Addison (I believe it was fully booked) we still had plenty of privacy and were made to feel as if we were the only ones there This is such a great bed and breakfast, and I highly recommend it to anyone staying on Amelia Island, especially for a wedding!

Comfy and by the beach, it’s surrounded by a handful of great shops, foods, and places to exploreEverything is good here My favorite thing about this place is that the morning team bakes these amazing cookies at the front desk everyday! If I had to complain, the design of the shower makes it easy for the water to run over the other side

Having your floor covered in water after a shower was off putting But there are more positives than negatives hereThe front desk is run by some young ladies who want to make sure your stay is comfortable Listen to some of their recommendations, they knew some good places to hang out!

Lindsey Mullen Todd

Loved our stay here! The decor has been updated (see my photos) and it’s so cute! We did mobile check in so we never had to talk to anyone at the front desk The breakfast had a great and extensive selection of hot and cold items and the attendant woman was so nice! Plenty of parking right around around / under the building FANTASTIC location – walk to everything in the historic downtown! Literally steps away from great restaurants and bars! We stayed in a fireplace room but didn’t end up turning it on

10/10 would recommend!

Eli C

Enjoyed staying here! Walking distance of all the shops and eating places in historic downtown Hotel has a neat charm and alot of character Friendly staff! Everyone was so helpful from breakfast attendants, front desk employees, and maintenence

Rooms were clean and a nice size We also enjoyed the pool area! Beach entrances are located a few miles down the road

Well I am handicapped and there were three people in our party They changed our room from two queens/doubles to a king with a pull out bed The beds were less than comfortable

My son who is 11 that stayed with us had to use the pull out couch and he said it was very uncomfortable They were only towels for two so we had to go back to get new ones for the third person in the party that we had booked for Then we had to go back for a pillow As there were not three of those either Now I asked the lady if they were going to have boiled eggs for breakfast She said no due to the pandemic they would not They had oranges and apples How can you have eggs that you peel not be there but apples that you don’t peel be there in The dining room? There was no meat cereal or you could make your own waffle and a few things of bread and cereal There was Apple and orange juice and coffee There were signs up that said do not take the food back to your room Very disappointing Now next comes critiquing the room She said this was during the pandemic so I would’ve expected the room to be spotless Another great disappointment I am not sure when they dusted last but I think it was probably when they built the place One of the remote controls didn’t work the handicap bars in the bathroom were filthy Video attached Now when you are handicapped you like to have the handicapped shower so that it is lower Again another broken item that had so much dust on it that I know it had been broken for a while (See picture) In the center they have a kitchen area I am not sure when the last time they clean the wall but I could’ve probably had a full meal on the food that was there (See picture) The light on my wife side of the bed didn’t work The cups in the cabinet weren’t clean so we had to wash them also before we use them When I arrived and I asked if they could bring extra linens to the room as I have listed above they told me they had no housekeeping We arrived about five or 5:30 PM The reason that they had moved me to a different room is because they said that some government workers had extended their stay And so if somebody decides to extend their stay the new party has to suffer?

Heather Hatton

Stayed here for my daughters birthday last night and asked for late checkout while I was checking in as we didn’t get in until late and desk attendant said that would be fine, checkout would be at 12:00 instead of 11:00 As we are packing our things to leave room attendants pounded on the door at 11:03 saying we were supposed to be out I notified them that the previous night we had late checkout for 12:00 approved

5 minutes goes by and a different front desk attendant starts calling the room rudely yelling that I needed to get out that they have government personnel on the way that rented the room and I cannot stay This was after room switches due to half of the suite not getting power, dirty hot tub and pool, bathroom issues that needed addressing, etc Customer service by the day crew has been absolutely subpar at best Will also be contacting booking agency as this has been a complete joke

Kris DiFatta

The first room was very hot, with a strange smell There was no bathtub, only a shower that leaked, and there was a wedding reception loudly thumping music below the roomThe front desk was very kind and moved us to another room

The second room was much cooler and quieter, with a bathtub The beds were softThe pool was closed for treatment so we were unable to use it Breakfast was simple, but sufficient There were no extra pillows for the pull out bed, and the front desk said they didn’t have any to provide There were also strange notes taped up all over the hotel with instructions of things not to do (ie don’t leave trash bags outside your door for house keeping, breakfast is only to be eaten downstairs, not in your room, etc)Overall, it wasn’t a terrible stay, but the price is a little steep for a basic hotel in need of an update

What a wonderful place to rest, recharge and be with nature We spent a weekend at the Inn and loved it Totally recommend a visit

The staff is very friendly and accommodating The boat ride onto the island is very easy going and on time The food is the best we ever tasted, kudos to the chef The decor is very well kept to the time period of a historical inn The attention to details is seen in the entire inn and property Great!”Special thanks to Elle working at the Inn and Christina who provided great tours”

Asya Butler

Absolutely magical placeWe booked our second stay as soon as we came back home from the first one=)The house is interior designer’s dream with lots of charming details Staff is very nice and helpful yet you are left alone most of the time which we loved

The nature is incredible! Its out of this world We went in March (perfect temperature wise) and in July (very hot and humid with lots of bugs but the forest is incredibly gorgeous this time of year)Another unexpected luxury is the food Breakfast and lunches are great but dinners are a real fine dining experience You can tell their chef is a real proOverall we felt like this place is consistently held to the highest standards in every little detail

Matt Smith

Visited mid June ‘22 and stayed in one of the rooms in the Inn This was our second trip to Greyfield, and the good news is that nothing had changed in 7 years! The island is unlike anything else, the Inn is beautiful and filled with history, the food was excellent at every meal, and the peace and quiet was exactly what we were looking forTake the excursions – the naturalists know the history and all the best spots to stop and see wildlife and other photo ops

Because of the flight & ferry schedules, we had to fly in a day early and stay in a bed & breakfast in Fernandina It was there and at dinner that we heard concerns about air conditioning in Greyfield Not sure where this urban myth comes from: Greyfield has had central air conditioning for years Our room, the dining room and common areas were all cool in the midst of a scorching heat waveGo and visit Greyfield! You won’t regret it

We had stayed at Seaside Amelia Inn with our two grandchildren for six nights The customer service was very good and everybody was very friendly We got a suite and the kids had slept on the pullout sofa and the pullout bed

Everybody was comfortable The rooms are not very big but very clean and recently renovated The air conditioning units are very quiet and they cool our rooms very well The breakfast was fresh and good Grady a very nice person was around and making sure nothing is missing at breakfast Children loved going to the the swimming pool after the coming from the beach

Dawn Reyna

We booked a room late afternoon on a whim It was the last room they had available so I was skeptical We were very pleased with our room

We could see the ocean and the pool (rather small, but clean) and it was tiny They called it a “studio” BUT the room was newly renovated, had a TV, chair, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and a queen / full sized bed The bathroom was newly renovated as well, and had a tiled, step-in shower We only needed the room for the S’s *CENSORED*, shower, shave and sleep so it was perfect for us The bed was really comfy Slept like a rock There was also a cool rooftop patio with great viewsThe free breakfast was good and the lady who handled that (Grady??) was the sweetest, most pleasant person I met that entire trip!As of this posting, the hotel is in the middle of a remodeling project but this didn’t affect us much You cannot beat the location, which is at Main Beach and less than 50 yards away from a playground and 100 yards or so away from a skateboard park if you have the need or desire for these things It’s also less than 1/4 of a mile from the entrance to Fort Clinch If you can get a room, take it

Shawn Rider

This was by far one of the BEST stays my family and I have had! Jean at the front desk was absolutely amazing! That is also speaking for her entire staff, the customer service was the very best! I HIGHLY recommend staying here for anyone, location is great, rooms were clean, and great breakfast Thanks again to Jean and her staff, y’all were amazing! 👍🏼

WOW Okay so first I want to say, this is the very first trip my wife and I have made together We chose Amelia Island to be our honeymoon destination and it was a GREAT choice

Sea Cottages of Amelia was great in so many ways From the ease of access to check in, to the kind people you encounteredWhen we arrived, there were carts for us to place our luggage in and roll to our room The parking lot had great space for us and it was not overcrowded or overwhelming When we entered the room, it was PERFECT We had a studio and it was equipped with everything we needed for the week The kitchen area was spacious, the couch was perfect, the air conditioning was AMAZING, the shower and bathroom had space and was very cleanWe were so impressed by the cottages and how close we were to the beach It was about a 5 minute walk down and we were right next to great places to eat If you want to drive, you’ll be looking at a 10 minute drive to downtown area but that is NOT BAD Parking was perfect the whole way aroundAll in all, we loved our stay and will be staying again Communication between us and the management before hand made the experience smooth, they even put flowers in our room so I could surprise my wife! It was something else!! STAY HERE!!

Kelly

We had a fantastic stay at the Sea Cottages of Amelia Island! I truly felt like they thought of everything you’d need in your cottage giving you the comforts of home The decor and Sea Cottage itself was inviting and well thought out We loved the location on Sadler and convenience to the beach/downtown

We enjoyed talking with the staff in the lobby area Betsy and Glen gave us great activity ideas and wonderful restaurant recommendations Overall it was a great experience and we look forward to coming back soon!

Regina Carmon

This was a great find Close to the beach but quiet and not crowded They are dog friendly and so is the beach

Most amenities are provided If your room doesn’t have a stove just check the cabinets and you will find a single cooking eye The microwave is also a convection oven Everything you need without the fluff and extras We were very pleased and will book again

The location is perfect and staff very kind However, extremely overpriced for a tiny room and no amenities It is not a clean place

The floors come up black when you wipe them No closets or sitting spaces I understand it’s a historical place but it can definitely be preserved better considering the prices they charge Recommend spending money on a local B&B or hotel off the exit

Husby C

Wonderful, central location The room we stayed in was right above live music I guess depends on the mood you’re in on whether that is a nuisance or an amenity

The room is small but did the trick for what we needed The entrance was mildly hard to find It is on the side that has the outside deck on the 2nd floor Otherwise, you can miss it Parking is limited but we still managed The staff were all friendly

Very nice boutique hotel in the heart of Fernandina Beach, within easy walk of downtown shops, restaurants and the docks We stayed for two nights in April 2022 Our room had a king-sized bed that was very comfortable and not too firm like most hotel beds

Everything looked new and clean and we loved the shower head A/C and ceiling fan worked great The room had a view of the pool and was pretty quiet The hotel also has its own bar Front desk folks and the bartender were very friendly and helpful We will definitely stay there again next time we are in Fernandina

Amber Dumas

Amelia Schoolhouse Inn was so charming! This quaint inn was walking distance to all that downtown Fernandina Beach has to offer Nicely appointed, clean rooms Very quiet air conditioner and fan in the room (very important!)

Bed and pillows were comfortable We grabbed a few drinks at The Principal’s Office which was great And shout out to Amanda for her friendly, attentive service I chose this hotel based on the reviews and I’m very glad I did! Would recommend this inn to anyone wanting a comfortable, enjoyable stay close to all the good restaurants and shops Would visit again next time we’re in town!

Everything about our stay was perfect! Every single one of the staff was amazing but Robyn, Cat, Dennis and Jen went above and beyond to make us feel at home! Robyn and Cat helped us at the front desk, Dennis gave us shuttle rides and local input, and Jen helped us as a manager with shuttle and room details My husband and I came to celebrate our toddlers birthday and were so impressed with the cleanliness of the room, the pool, lobby, breakfast etc The one bedroom suite was well stocked and very spacious! We used the shuttle to go to the downtown area and the beach and it was on time and easily available especially with a full hotel on a holiday weekend! Cannot say enough about the quality of hotel and kindness of the staff!

Buster Ecks

Phenomenal Stay! My check-in experience was great I believe the woman’s name was Robin She gave me some great ideas of places to grab food while in the area

She also gave me a heads up that many of the locations close early, which saved me from having an unwanted fast food dinner! The hotel room was great Open layout, but made is such a way where the bed isn’t in sight upon walking into the front door — this is something I don’t like thay many hotels do There was a full kitchen with stove, microwave, coffee maker, as well as pots, pans, and various cooking utensilsThe amenities were great as well! A gym (though a bit small), putting green, BBQ Grills, pool and hot poop, fire pit, and lots of places to sit and enjoy the air The location is also quite quiet Parking is free, and there’s a shuttle that will take and pick you up anywhere on the island Though know that they only have 1 shuttle, so your wait time may be a bit long, so plan accordinglyIn short, great stay, great room, and great staff!

Barry Hasson

Had a great one week stay here Very clean hotel with friendly helpful staff We were in a corner room on the fifth floor so it was very quiet

Bed was comfy and room was spacious One of our TVs could not connect to the internet, so we just watched on the bedroom TV The breakfast was incredible! New items added every day we were there Waffles, pastries, bagels, muffins, omelettes, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, Canadian bacon, sausage, cereal, oatmeal and much much more Sue, one of the wait staff was just great! Pool area was well kept and there were gas grills on the patio for guest use This hotel is an easy walk to the beach (two blocks) and is a short drive to everything There is also a very nice greenway trail that runs for a few miles behind the hotel Thepics are from the trailThe price for a stay is very reasonable We’ll be back!

I noticed some less than great reviews before we stayed and realize now that they seem to have been directed at the previous owners Under the new owner and management, this place is great The staff was helpful and friendly

Everything is clean and well-kept Definitely as nice as any other B&B we’ve stayed in, especially considering the age of the building Every we were interested in was within walking distance St Mary’s is a charming, quiet little coastal village Good restaurants and little shops My only recommendation would be to add some variety to the breakfast offerings, though everything served was good Highly recommend if you’re looking for a short, low-stress trip Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach is an easy 45 minute drive away and was a nice excursion for the day

Samuel Maffei

Spencer House Inn is one of the best Bed & Breakfasts I have visited in the United States

The decor, the breakfast, the peach tea, EVERYTHING I liked!!! I would definitely come back again soonThank you very much to all the staff who treated us with great affection

Luis Garcés

The attention they have with people is very good, the hotel is beautiful and cozy It has very good views and is very close to restaurants and places to be with family and friends, as well as being very close to the ferry If you are going to go out to visit Cumberland Island, they give you the option of asking for an extra lunch to take with you

Our stay at Elizabeth Pointe Lodge was perfect The staff were professional, friendly, and accommodating to every request we made The accommodations were clean and well designed

The location on the beach was perfect Breakfast was delicious and the afternoon reception was great after a long, hot day I had read a few negative reviews prior to our visit and after staying, I can’t imagine how anyone could leave a negative review My husband and I travel frequently and have stayed at many places and this tops our list The only thing that could have made our stay better is a pool but even without one, it was a wonderful experience

This place has the ability to get five stars if the bedrooms and bathrooms weren’t so outdated and dirty Soon as you reached upstairs there was a stench of musty, dirty laundry The stench remained the entire time we stayed

Our bed sheets were not clean on our first night The fun part was every-time we had to use the bathroom, the toilet seat would slip off when we sat The tub was disgusting with stains that seemed to have been there for years I was so uncomfortable and did not feel like I was in a hygiene safe place Very close to what a motel would be I’m so upset because of the cost I have no issue paying high for quality service, This was not the case On the positive note, staff was very friendly and accommodating The downstairs lobby and porch area is so nice Breakfast was good But my favorite part was the beach area Beautiful clean beach My husband and I enjoyed being at the beach with the complimentary umbrellas and chairs hotel provided I do not recommend staying here Unless they renovate and clean up bedroom and bathrooms

Rebecca Krygiel Capello

I stayed at the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge for 2 nights It is in a good location and has great beach access The breakfast food was good

And there are also complimentary waters, brownies, cookies, fruit, etc throughout the day Every staff member I encountered was very friendly On the first night, it was very cold and unusually windy outside (47 degrees) Unfortunately, the central air unit in my room did not work, and the temporary window unit didn’t have a heat setting It was an uncomfortable night to say the least The staff did offer to move me to a different room for the next evening, but it would have been a downgrade size-wise (and no balcony) Thankfully the 2nd night was not as cold The bed, linens, and pillows were not as comfortable as I expected them to be I was expecting better quality The bed was a bit hard for my taste, and the pillows were very thin and worn Inside the main building, it is very small and cramped Just not my taste All in all, this place is okay I would not stay here again for the price I paid

I wish I could give a higher rating, but I can’t Most of the staff I came in contact with were super nice and helpful The room, on the other hand, was awful

The toilet handle kept falling out, and there was broken and loose tiles in the bathroom The beds were the hardest and most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever encountered in a hotel The pullout bed, which we needed, was unusable It was nasty, dirty, and even a ten year old couldn’t sleep on it One of the beds (doubles, not queens) was literally 2 hand widths from the a/c unit, so whomever was in that bed was getting blasted with air The breakfast left much to be desired The lady working the breakfast was more interested in closing the thing down than she was restocking any items If the reservations hadn’t been non-refundable I would have taken my family to another hotel I have over 500 stays at Marriott, and can confidently say that this is NOT a good representation of the Marriott brand

If you can avoid it, don’t stay here This is a very (very) old hotel The lobby and breakfast area and nice and updated, but the rest is just so old

The room we had was small and dingy There was an old odor Old carpets, old furniture, old bathroom In general, the room was clean But it is so old that the ceilings and walls, wall paper etc are so stained and used We left the window open all night to air the place outThankfully we only stayed one night We didn’t interact with the staff much, though they seemed friendly

Easily the least comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in at a hotel Maybe the king beds are better – I can’t speak to those, but this bed was awful It’s not just the firmness, I’m good with a firm bed, but holy hell, just super uncomfortable

And the pillows suck Granted, nearly all hotel pillows suck, but still Also, the turn to get back to the hotel is weird and unmarked – maybe it’s easier during the day

This was just an overnight stop on our drive from Sarasota back to Philadelphia The hotel was so beautiful and smelled so nice! The staff was incredibly friendly Continental breakfast was a typical hotel free breakfast

Nothing too fancy Didn’t get a chance to order from the bistro The little Starbucks inside the hotel was so convenient Our view from the hotel room was gorgeous Could’ve seen the sun rise from the Atlantic Ocean if i would’ve gotten up a bit earlier Wish we would’ve been able to stay longer than just a night

We stayed here recently and it was absolutely the finest resort we have ever been to! The resort and the grounds are exquisite! The staff was amazing! The kids had a blast as well There were tons of great activities the staff put together including, a shark teeth find and smores by a campfire We can’t wait to get back for another visit again soon

To all the staff and management at Ritz Carlton in Amelia Island, thank you for making one of our most memorable family vacations ever!!!

I can’t give enough stars This hotel is so beautiful and the service is beyond compare Alison, our poolside waitress was fantastic, especially dealing with my 6 & 4yr old niece and nephew

Joe was an awesome poolside attendant, sunglasses cleaner and snake wrangler! On the club level, Joni and Kathy went above the call of duty providing me special dietary food options and just being all around fabulous people They are some of the warmest, kindest people I’ve met The other staff did an amazing job as well keeping everything spotless and well stocked Jojo provided me a much needed, thorough massage and the Spa facilities were luxurious and also spotless It was extra special having a separate, salt water pool to enjoy The shower pressure in the Spa and guest rooms was awesome and all the food we had was so delicious and thoughtfully prepared The kids loved the game room Ok so did we adults! This is a family friendly resort with lots of activities for everyone with excellent attention to detail I had a game changing tennis lesson with John and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for tips to improve He is amazing! I highly recommend this hotel, it lived up to the Ritz reputation for quality

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Williams House during our first visit to Amelia Island Although the house is old, it is extremely well cared for and in great condition Upon arrival the innkeeper, Veronica, quickly got us checked into our room

The room was well sized, with a great bathroom (with jet tub and large walk-in shower) The bed was comfy and the sheets were awesome The Inn is close-by to downtown for an easy walk down to the waterfront There were beach chairs, umbrellas, and bike available for use Although we only got to enjoy one breakfast experience… it was just that… an experience… Holy cow it was amazing! Veronica knows how to spoil you when it comes to food! Overall a great experience – highly recommend!

My husband booked a two night stay here to celebrate our Anniversary/my Birthday/Valentine’s Day We stayed in The Smugglers Cove room which had its own private balcony The room was clean, beautiful and comfortable

Our first experience at a bed and breakfast and we couldn’t have asked for more Veronica made the most amazing breakfast and was so helpful with booking a reservation for us on Saturday night More than a five star stay for sure!

Stayed one night in mid June ‘22 We stayed in the Catherine’s Chamber room in the Hearthstone house The entire stay was wonderful

This place gets labeled as a B&B, but felt more like a full service Inn Veronica was super friendly, helpful and professional The room was clean, enormous, and beautiful Breakfast was delicious, and the art collection throughout the house was fascinating Go, and enjoy your stay!
