The staff at this hotel was incredibly friendly and the pool area was a beautiful escape to the outdoors I enjoyed being within walking distance to Marlows Tavern, though it was a little pricey My room was incredibly humid

I washed some quick-dry clothing and hung it to dry in my room and 24 hours later it was still wet The hotel was having some sort of issue with their water because when I arrived the water was off for a period and several days later i returned to my room to find it had been turned off again and stayed that way for a half hour The cleaning staff removed a bag of recycling that i was saving to dispose of properly as well as a reusable shopping bag from my room during cleaning One afternoon, after having hung the do not disturb tag on my door knob, I returned to my room to find a note slid under the door that said it had been cleaned It looks like this hotel has gotten great ratings in the past so it seems my experience was unusual, but I hope they will make the changes needed to improve conditions

We stayed at this property 3x while selling and moving and waiting for a new home to be built in 2021 and early 2022 We stayed a total of almost 8 weeks We were always treated like family by everyone working there

Every request was handled quickly The room and bed were terrific They even had tech support help us connect our Apple TV in our room Housekeeping and front desk and maintenance and the breakfast team were all amazing

Todd Trader

Very nice room for extended stay The layout was comfortable that gives separation of living space The location of my room had a great working view

The beautiful landscaping softened the experience overlooking the magnolia and crape myrtleThe pool area was nice, but some of the cushions need replaced as we’re showing stains The pool itself was very relaxing and invitingThe staff was always warm and polite Eager to make the stay enjoyableFor me the bed pillows were the best comfort for my sleep Nothing wrong with the mattress I prefer a mattress with a little more firmness and these were very plush and soft Sadly for me, with a little extra around my midsection didn’t give me the support I realized I really need for a good night sleepThe breakfast was ok Nothing special and not really a satisfying start to the dayOverall, if and when I’m back to this area of NE Atlanta, I won’t hesitate staying here Very clean and quiet

We had a good stay at this hotel* The rooms were clean and well-appointed (Although note that the pullout sofa was not comfortable for sleeping

)* The hot breakfast was good, however I would have appreciated some healthier options* The pool area was clean, if a little cold* The public spaces were comfortable with ample private booths* All staff was friendly and helpfulWe would definitely stay here again

Joshua Paquette

Pros: The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, the room was spacious, clean, and fairly quiet Felt upscale and very pleasant upon arrival It wasn’t very hard to get to the hwy and there were attractions close enough to do and see

Breakfast was great! The pool was nice because you didn’t see a lot of kids/young adults hereCons: Marijuana and cigarette smoke on our floor 2 out of 3 nights Marijuana could be smelled, and was quite noticeable, inside of our room Water pipes randomly squawk (fairly loud) The restaurant was closed completely 1 night Open for “fried foods only” a second nightIf you plan on spending most of your time in downtown Atlanta I would suggest looking closer to downtown as the traffic is pretty thick But if you’re okay with staying on the outskirts this is a nice place to stay Great food in Duluth too

Mike Munoz

Great experience coming here with my family of 5 The and the staff was very welcoming The pool was also really clean and a great place for my kids to get that extra energy out after being in the car for 10 hours

My only suggestion would be to have some sort of pancake or waffle option on the breakfast menu Corn beef hash and on-demand omelettes are absolutely amazing, but it wasn’t some thing that interested my younger kidsThank you guys again for the incredible service I also want to mention that the hospitality staff for breakfast went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed The gentleman that was making the omelettes really made my son‘s day and how he engaged with him and the wait staff made us feel like we were the only people eating breakfast this morning Again, I really appreciate Embassy suites Put so much energy into hiring such great people Thank you

Hotel was nice! Everyone at the front desk was nice! Our room was clean and cold when we walked in Which was perfect on a June day! We enjoyed the pool and they have an outside bar! The bar by the pool closed around 6pm Would have been nice if it stayed open until 8 pm

The pool area is nice It has an outdoor shower and restrooms by it Security is big, you need your room key to access everything The bar inside the lobby looked nice and there is plenty of sitting area Overall, we were happy with our experience The price was great for our room and our drinks from the bar by the pool were reasonably priced

I truly cannot say enough great things about the Hilton Alpharetta We had 35+ rooms for my son’s wedding The staff made sure all of our guests were comfortable and happy

Any time someone needed anything (towels, trash bags, drinks, etc) the staff went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful gathering John, Carlos and the people at the front desk were amazing Jenni and her team in group reservations answered all my questions The hotel was beautiful, clean and met all of our needs and beyond The suite was perfect and we look forward to coming again Cheers and salute to the staff at Hilton Alpharetta

Depends on what you want->> This hotel’s location is wonderful— McDonald’s and a lot of other fast food places are a few minutes away The rooms were very very nice and clean! I was really let down that the pool was full of bugs and the water looks real dirty

The front desk staff Carlos was really nice and got us our keys really quickly! The room was sanitized and the shower is a little small for a 250 dollar hotel I was really dissatisfied with not having free or at least less expensive breakfast

This was a late night, last minute stop and although it was expensive on a weekend, they were almost sold out so we got the last room It was nice, clean, spacious and well equipped It has a good size kitchen area complete with a large refrigerator, silverware and dishes

The separate living area has a pull out sofa and the king bedroom had plenty of space the separate sink area outside the bathroom is helpful The water pressure was great and there was plenty of hot water The location was easy not far off the highway but we could still hear the highway noise at night The pillows and towels were soft and nice quality The place was clean and well maintained overall Breakfast was pretty good with eggs and rosemary potatoes as well as the ever popular waffle makers that had a long line Staff was friendly at check-in late at night The area felt safe and clean We would definitely stay here again

I am very disappointed in the stay at this Hilton property It did not meet the standards that the Hilton brand tries to maintain Here is how this location let me down

The main reception area and dining area appears to be air conditioned However as you leave these areas, the hallways to the guest rooms were not being air conditioned to the same level This left me feeling sticky and hot in the hallway to my room and the hallway to other people’s rooms It was unpleasantly warm It is late summer in Atlanta and my room was a very toasty 79 degrees with high humidity upon arrival at 9pm, at which point I immediately adjusted the thermostat to 72 degrees The room was still not down to 72 degrees when I left for the day at 10am the next morning That was a warm and uncomfortable night in bed The “hot” breakfast every morning was always lacking The bacon was thin and grease soaked, the eggs or omelette burned and super dry (sometimes), it was not a good experience As a side note: After checkout, I moved to a Holiday Inn Express and the breakfast was pretty good I am no stranger to travel and have significant reward points with several brands, so I know when the breakfast is not up to par with the competitionThe most significant issues were with the quality of the room and HVAC (already covered) The bathroom reminded me of a dingy motel The door was stained, swollen, losing paint, chipped, and bubbled in spots The hinges were rusty and looked like they were installed 4 decades ago The access panel above the tub was equally stained, rusty, and it gave you the feeling like rusty gunky water would drip down on you at any time Thank goodness that did not occur The shower/bathtub itself was broken where the shower curtain rod connected the “wall” You could see this 10 inch crack in front of you as you showered In addition, because the shower wall was broken at the curtain rod connection the shower curtain wanted to fall down hill towards the center of the tub I had to tie the shower curtain closed to the curtain rod end at the end where it was brokenThis property is NOT what I expect from the Hilton brand I would NOT recommend this property to my colleagues and friends

Judah Lionesses Roar

I would have given 5 stars the staff was excellent!!! Unfortunately the drain for the tub didn’t work, so it took 2 hours per person to shower and we couldn’t clean the tub properly after each shower We killed a few bugs, my room key stopped working twice, the bypass check-in didn’t work for me I’m not sure why , I was trying go stay clear of as many people as possible

But again the staff was GREAT!!!***UPDATE*** I AM CHANGING my review from 3* to 5* I was contacted by the hotel and they kept their promise, I’m actually impressed There was a maintenance gentlemen working hard painting that made sure every time he saw me made sure I was alright They found out who he was and gave him his recognition he DESERVED!! I just wanted to make sure the employees are well loved, I know they work hard and are over worked I WILL BE BACK!!

Stayed here for 7 nights for a baseball tournament This hotel is an excellent value for the price Latonya as well as the rest of the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and did their best to ensure our stay was great

The whole hotel is quiet, very clean and always smells fresh Room was spacious and the kitchenette was nice to have as we were there for a week It is well stocked, but additional cooking/grilling tools can be borrowed The bathroom is a good size and has full size shampoo, conditioner and body wash My family enjoyed the clean pool and above average hotel gym The breakfast is standard hot/continental but the staff keeps it well stocked and neat Would definitely stay again

Excellent customer service! Everyone was very pleasant Our room was clean and was excellent! It was a quiet weekend here in GA The bistro is a must when here

During the time of this review, the bistro is closed at dinner hours, but breakfast is open full force! The food was delicious This hotel is in a great location to everything Nothing is too far! Might become a member after this since I’ll have to make quarterly trips to Duluth Enjoyed the stay!

If you are a Marriott Bonvoy member, look elsewhere I am a Platinum Elite member (1) was not greeted as platinum elite [which is fine] (2) was not offered the bottle of water that always comes with platinum status (3) when I asked if there was anything offered to platinum elite members the lady said no

She never acknowledged or thanked me for my stay I travel to hundreds of hotels, this is the worse front desk service I ever received It is July 19 2022 evening for any management reading thisThe elevator is very far from the front desk My key didn’t work When I went downstairs to tell the lady, she had me wait about 15 minutes while she checked in 4 other patrons and then finally called someone to help meYes, I paid for the water that I normally get free at every other Marriott hotel I’ve stayed atIs complaining about $5 water petty? Maybe But if you stay 50+ nights per year with a hotel chain, is withholding $5 water even pettier? yes

Reported Unresolved Case #351896878 We were given a musty, moldy-smelling room with a broken door handle and a malfunctioning air conditioner upon check-in They would not allow me to use my digital key and forced me to take room keys

I was told this was because of fraud at their hotel I tried my best to work things out with the hotel BEFORE calling Customer Relations, but they were rude and of NO assistance before opening my case So, after the second night of myself and my 12-year-old nephew, both of us having asthma, not being able to breathe, and I’m still trying to recover from having COVID and the room staying at or above 75 degrees, I called Customer Relations for assistance Eventually, the hotel moved us to a new room, BUT this room was worse due to a lack of available outlets, outlets sparking, a roach infestation, and a bathtub needing assistance I had earned and paid for extra points to take advantage of the 5th night free, but I checked out early and booked a two-night stay at a Tru by Hilton hotel (staying an extra day because the room and staff were SOOOOO amazing, and I needed a day to regroup) I didn’t even tell them what had happened at Marriott because I was trying to calm down Oh, and I could use my digital key at Tru by Hilton and do EVERYTHING without needing assistance from the hotel staff Isn’t this why they are available to guests (which helps minimize the risks of contracting the coronavirus that is STILL killing and impacting people’s lives)?

Excellence award goes to this specific Hilton hotel We have stayed in this hotel on multiple occasions probably totaling over 30 days or more at this point We appreciate the accommodations they made for our four legged babies and their helpful friendly faces that greeted us at the door each time

They made check in and check out simple and fast Our rooms always were clean and super comfy! I highly recommend staying at this Hilton if you have a chance!

Alexis Wheldon

Family of 6 here The staff were all super Accommodating and friendly The room was extremely clean I felt good knowing my kids were sleeping in the bed and using the pillows and sheets

The shower was very clean also There was a lot of variety in the free breakfast they offered My kids were fed and satisfied They had actual food for breakfast and not just packaged breakfast bars like other hotels we’ve stayed at I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here in the future

This is a very nice hotel, and the rooms were clean and comfortable We had a problem with there not being enough towels available at the pool even though we had requested towels before we went down there We had to use hand towels from the gym area next to the pool

Also, just be aware that the breakfast buffet is not free I was surprised when I was handed a $13 bill It’s a really good hotel breakfast, better than other hotel breakfasts, and has a great variety, but it’s not free It is $13 per person Thankfully, though, kids do eat free Bring your own towels for the pool and calculate the cost of breakfast into your stay

Heather House

If I could do 0 stars I would Stayed here a couple of weeks ago for my sons basketball tournament Air conditioner only halfway worked, or didn’t work at all

We were on the top floor and the only accommodation that they were willing to give me was to not charge me for my second night if I left If I stayed, they still would charge me full price and gave me one super dusty fan to cool my king suite that had 2 rooms The manager, Mr Lee, kept just saying he apologized I asked if he could go get a portable AC and he said there were no stores that sold that in the area Meanwhile there was a Home Depot 3 minutes away I’m also a Hilton Honors member and expected so much better

Andrei Kapitonov

I’d suggest to avoid this hotel The room was very dated, weared and it had strong smell This price is on par with far better options – don’t be confused! There was only one functional elevator out of two, and it was always a wait before you get where you need

I’ve seen lots of standard hotels, and this one is definitely below median

Visited this last weekend with large group from 8/14 to 8/17; room 116 It was relaxing and staff very pleasant The food & service during our evening meetings was fabulous

Tell them I said thank you!! Check-in was quick and easy One slight mishap; 30 min after arriving to my room I heard a few housekeeping staff talking outside the door I happen to be sitting on the bed watching TV; one of your male staff members just walked in without knocking As soon as he saw me he didn’t say anything turned around then walked right back out the door If I was a female and naked they probably would have been freaked out Please make certain they knock before entering a guest room Ty!!

Courtney McManes

So we just had a girls weekend and of course we are going to have a good time no matter what The staff were 10 star as well! I would like to make a few suggestions though1) Please cut some trees back so you actually have a view of the lake

It’s a ‘lake lodge’ and no view of the lake2) Get better mattresses for your guests It was Hard as a board and I had major back pain throughout each night and I don’t have back problems Terrible sleep while staying due to this3) Rooms get either too hot /muggy or too cold with no ceiling fan to circulate the air in the room Had a difficult time having a nice comfortable temp for our 3 day stay Maybe install some ceiling fans at leastI will still stay here again as lake Lanier has very sentimental reasons as to why like it here but major renovations are needed in the guest suites And for nearly $900 for 2 nights I expected more comfort in my room and a lake view at least

Evan Kerendi

It’s a nice hotel, but there some things that need updating The room itself was nice, but it was a little outdated in terms of decor and the bathroom was also small Also, it would have been nice to have an in room safe instead of having to ask for one

The windows could also be a little bigger or there needs to be a little more lights, as the room could get a little dark Other than that the room was very nice The staff were very friendly, and the elevators were a little slow, but that was not a problem However, it would’ve been nice if the hotel required key card access on the elevator an to get into the building from any side or back entrance Overall, I would probably give this place another chance

This Courtyard was clean and inviting The staff at the desk when we checked in seemed less than enthusiastic that they were at work She did not smile at all

She was on her cell phone when I walked in I heard her say, I need to go it’s another check in Seemed like she was annoyed that another customer walked in Just checked us in without any smiles or hellosThe rest of the staff was very nice The Bistro staff was great The tall African American man(he didn’t have a name tag on) at the Bistro on Sunday morning was very friendly and welcoming He made my Starbucks coffee perfectly I thanked him and he was happy that I was pleased with itHousekeeping was very friendly and provided us with extra towels with no hassle at allWe will stay here again in the future

Monkey.V

While the front desk was friendly, the bartender is lazy and rude and the room was not as advertised When I told the front desk she did nothing but smile and say, “I don’t know” We got the one with a separate bedroom and sofa sleeper

Rooms says it sleeps 4, but the “sofa sleeper” is a chair that folds out to a cot The description of room looks like a bed, a sofa, and a chair There’s not even a table to eat at in all that wide open space! The 4 of us used a stool as our table to eat There were only 3 pillows! My daughter and I sat in a chair sharing one pillow all nightSo the bartender… I ask to have a Tito’s up with olive juice She says she’s new I say I’m a bartender and can help her It’s just vodka shaken with some ice strained to a glass I offered this with a friendly smile because I’m on vacation and happy at this point She said, no cause it’s 9:30 and everythings clean She doesn’t want to make a mess It’s vodka and ice!Don’t stay here! Marriott should be ashamed of this place I wish I could have our money back

Robi Lipscomb

I stayed at this hotel in September and it was not in as good shape Also the heater for the indoor pool was broken and when I tried to talk to the front desk they told me it had never been heated Then I told them it was when I was here in September and they still tried to tell me I was mistaken

When I spoke the manager the next morning she confirmed the heater for the pool was broken She did give me 5000 points toward my Marriott rewards but I doubt I will ever get any use out of those The pictures below are of the 1-3 ft high weeds growing in a landscape area

My husband and I stayed for three nights at the Lanier Island’s King Suite Villa on the lake Being one of the most expensive rooms in the Villa section, our expectations were somewhat high Although the villa itself was spacious, we would never stay there again

Here is our breakdown:CONS: Even before we got there, we had questions about our reservation There is no local telephone number available on the website, so you always get some offsite India answering service, and the call gets dropped a lot (it took me three calls to get the answers I needed, which included confirmation of our booked reservation because the confirmation email never came through) I usually don’t mind these call centers, but they weren’t able to answer basic questions, and the English was very difficult to decipher It was very frustrating Now to the hotel: The king bed and pillows were terribly uncomfortable We didn’t sleep well all three nights The air conditioning was super cold, and you can’t set it at a higher temperature, so we had to turn it completely off, and then back on later, to be comfortable (or turn on the fireplace) The couch was tiny, old, and felt like cardboard You CANT comfortably sit there There were occasional little baby roaches on the counters and ceiling, but you are in the woods, so…The sink in the mini kitchen wasn’t connected properly, so when we used the sink, it flooded the living room area and wet the rug, which when lifted, smelled moldy Obviously this was most likely not your typical event, but, it happened to us and we had to have staff come in and fix it, interrupting our relaxing morningYou can’t see the lake in the spring from your villa because of the trees, but I imagine in the winter you can You have to get water bottles from the front desk because they don’t provide any in the villa (which we found out the hard way when we got into the villa at midnight and didn’t even have one water bottle waiting for us – also they are half-size bottles) When the maids came, they didn’t restock our paper coffee cups, so the next morning we had to go get coffee The lodge isn’t too far, but it’s an inconvenience when you want coffee first thing No plates, forks, etc were provided at the villa (I recommend having some paperware available for future guests) Also, when we checked in, it’s clear the maids didn’t thoroughly clean the bathroom, as we found blood spots on the underside of the toilet seat from the prior guestLastly, the light is so terrible You can’t see anything in the evening Even with every light on, you can’t seePROS: The pool was excellent, as was the soaking bathtub in the villa Sidney restaurant breakfast was pretty good and the waiters were wonderful The restaurant next to the pool provide really great alcoholic beverages The property itself was pretty and well kept The beach was ok, but callaway’s is much better (The signage is terrible when looking for the beach – you have to ask where everything is to get anywhere) You do have access to good restaurants about 15min awayOn a final note, I mentioned some of these matters to the front desk, but aside from fixing the sink and waiting two hours to get water bottles brought to us by the staff, nothing was done about the other matter We got an apology but no solutionRecommendations for Lanier Management:1 Have a local number available on the reservation page (after someone books), and if you can bring the phone center in house, I’d recommend it Also check your reservation email funnel, because I called twice to get the reservation email, and it didn’t come The email that did come said I needed to complete my booking, though I already had done that (and got the confirmation number)2 Provide 4 bottles of water for new guests in their rooms For water and coffee Replenish them throughout stay3 Change the mattresses, sofa beds, lighting, and spray for pests more frequently4 Provide a few paper plates, forks, and spoons5 Allow guest to change temperature of the cool settingThank you!

I had high expectations of this place looking over the reviews, but after staying there for one night there was no need to stay longer Stay in a junior suite to find bugs around the floor appeared to be roaches! If your looking to relax the bed were so uncomfortable I had a very hard time falling asleep, I might have slept a couple of hours Food choices were NOT great! Ordered there award winning chili and just had lots of beans and tomatoe chunks in it was very dry with no meat? Chicken tenders were also not very good had them tossed in Buffalo sauce and that’s all you can taste? Wings were okay nothing to brag about

The one great thing was there corn on the cob it was amazing, unfortunately I can’t base our stay on the corn The gym was very nice but there was NO had sanitizer with the pandemic something that should be available About the one thing I found to be relaxing was the pool area, but unfortunately with all the negatives on a week of celebrating your 20th anniversary this is not the experience I had in mind at all Just fyi do research if you plan on having a relaxing time away vacationing or celebrating with this resort I do have to say that upon first impression of entering Lake Lanier was breath taking on how beautiful it was which is why I’m Saddened to leave this review

The customer service at this resort is ridiculous What every happened to “Southern Hospitality” The front desk is very rude, no southern hospitality at all

I went there for the Thanksgiving last year and stayed a week From check in to check out the front desk staff was the same, no manners and very rude As that being your first customer contact on property and face of the resort, based off of that alone, I wouldn’t go back The park for the kids (snowland) was nice The elf young ladies, the kitchen staff and others like the room service was very customer service oriented, but the front desk, uh-uh I’ve worked in several hotels and travel quite often, for such a big named resort, their customer service really needs to improve at the front Other than that, the food was awesome! Oh, and the elevatorstake the stairs Might’ve been just for that week I was there that the elevators were over exhausted, but the stairs was the better option

It’s a lovely clean hotel with attentive and very accommodating staff No in-room service due to the pandemic currently, no buffet style at the breakfast either but you can sit down at a table and order the breakfast from the menu to be served Coffee/Juice refills

There’s a snack bar near the reception, and a lovely swimming pool Wonderful amenities just a few minutes away from the hotel (Avalon)

The front desk was very friendly and attentive The pillows on the King Size beds are HUGE and super soft I tend to prefer firmer pillows

I asked if they had a normal sized pillow and right away they sent some up that go on a queen size bed In the mornings, I had the pleasure of speaking to Sandy who is PHENOMENAL She works behind the coffee bar and is VERY FRIENDLY, outgoing, and attentive I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Alpharetta/Atlanta area

When I tell you I don’t have anything negative to say about this location! 🙌 It was Fabulous! Fabulous! Fabulous! 💯The two gentleman at the front desk were superb in every way🙌 They were very helpful, very friendly and very knowledgeable When we first arrived, our TV did not work in our room

I called the front desk and shortly the maintenance guy got right on it He made sure we got a new room and stayed to make sure our TV was working The hotel itself is beautifully decorated! I hate that I didn’t get a chance to spend more time there The hotel has a bar, indoor pool and a fitness room The location is great! It is close to the interstate I am definitely making plans to stay at this hotel again!🙂

A safe and Great location close to highway, restaurants, shopping & more The rooms were nice and super comfortable Everything was really clean and looked good except for the chairs in front of elevator

Service was quick, professional and friendly The only downside was that they offer breakfast but not included in what you already paid

I was satisfied during my 4 day stay It’s definitely an older establishment, but it was clean Parking was readily available and in close proximity to the building

The breakfast was good with a nice assortment/variety of choices Norman at the front desk was very hospitable and hilarious !! The only minor issue I encountered was the time it took for the water to heat up (5-10 min) Aside from that, my stay was very pleasant
