My wife and I spent two magical nights at the Times House in January, and it was one of the most memorable places we’ve ever stayed! We stayed in the Legacy Grand Suite, a spacious, beautifully furnished, and impeccably appointed room on the second floor The downstairs lobby was so perfectly inviting; we ended up spending several hours there, sipping on warm cider and doing puzzles We loved being in this cozy B&B on cold winter nights, and we will definitely plan on coming back!

Carol Sikora

What a lovely B&B! The owners, Chris and Diane, have thought of everything From the mints at the side of your bed to the delicious homemade granola and baked goods they provide each morning They have totally renovated this Inn to perfection

The town has lots of shopping, restaurants, and things to see and do We plan to return and once again, eat our way through this adorable town!

Maria Cristina Marcos

My partner and I had a wonderful experience staying at Times House Diane and Chris (our hosts) were very kind and attentive The Nostalgia Suite was elegantly decorated

The baked goods are delicious so make sure that you try all of them We were really happy to have a parking spot included with our accommodations since parking can be difficult in downtown Jim Thorpe I would recommend Times House to anyone looking to spend a romantic weekend in a beautiful town

Upon arrival at The Inn at Jim Thorpe, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful in explaining the parking situation to us and where to go park for our stay The room was nice, clean and comfortable The location is phenomenal and is convenient to a lot of local shops and places to eat

The restaurant that is part of the inn is phenomenal Their breakfast is out of this world! Would definitely recommend staying for a visit and we will definitely stay at The Inn at Jim Thorpe the next time we visit

Deborah Burke

Stayed at 44 Broad which was great! The staff at front desk were so friendly and helpful when there was a mixup with the date of our reservation and got us situated quickly We liked the location right downtown amongst all the history of the charming Jim Thorpe They had a good restaurant also and you get $10 voucher towards breakfast

Breakfast fills up quick so make a reservation the night beforehand especially if you are needing to get to another activity (we had to be whitewater rafting) Good stay would stay again

We didn’t stay at the lodge but we did visit it to check in and a few times to get towels (since we stayed at a private home on the property) The views from the lodge are amazing and the lobby is beautiful Our only complaint is about the front desk staff

Of the 3 times we visited the front desk – twice we had very poor service The concierge person was rude and obnoxious and really turned us off from wanting to return

Exceptionally clean rooms with incredibly friendly service We are definitely staying here again We stayed in the mountain view room and it was clean, warm, and inviting

My husband and I never felt so relaxed! They also give you plenty of towels and an extremely comfortable bathrobe The bed was very comfortable and warm The jacuzzi was so relaxing Rhonda (owner) was awesome!! Extremely friendly and helpful!

Shannon

We spent a wonderful three nights/four days at the Inn at Birch Wilds It was much needed relaxation and time to (re)connect Both Cheryl and Rhonda were wonderful hosts, friendly and took real care with breakfast and the antipasti we ordered for our arrival

We stayed in the “Wild” room and loved it Even more beautiful than in the photos We enjoyed our in-room fireplace, the private pool/jacuzzi room (like summer!), having coffee outside, the games and books available, and all the blankets and lanterns for enjoying stargazing up on the hill (which we did!) Close to hiking (which we did every day!) and Jim Thorpe, without having all the touristy hustle and bustle We definitely plan to come back

Marsha Sinanan

My husband and I stayed here for our Later-Moon, many moons ago This review is LONG overdue We wanted a place that was cozy and quiet to balance our usually fast-paced lives and we got just that

We have so many fond memories of our time there There are so many lovely, personal touches around the property Blankets and flashlights for late night walks and stargazing A library, a coffee/tea bar, a pool, a pool table, delicious food! We even made our first snowman under Cheryl’s tutelage and she brought out some beers for us to celebrate!Cheryl and her husband were MORE than accommodating Long story short: our car got stuck on an icy road that we had no business being on late at night and Cheryl came to our rescue Her husband was able to find people to help us get our car out when the towing companies we called said they wouldn’t be able to do it LIFE SAVING PEOPLE that we are deeply grateful forYou will throughly enjoy your time spent here We’re hoping to return in the near future with other couples from our circle of family and friends to share the magic of this place with them

Had I known that this hotel makes you sign a waive on checkin that limits your lobby use after 10pm I wouldn’t have booked Here for a relaxing weekend with family that we haven’t seen in years and you close down the public lobby at 10pm like this is some sort of kindergarten It’s a shame that you must have had guests to rowdy to cause this rule, but as a paying guest I want to be able to enjoy the lobby area on my terms

Don’t stay here, staff is rude

Vincent Shenko

If I was writing this review 2 1/2 years ago (before the pandemic), I would have given the hotel 5 stars Now, I only give it three stars This is because when I was there last month, the pool was closed, the staff did a terrible job with getting the younger siblings of children on a travel team to be quiet while having a pizza party downstairs, and the selection at the breakfast buffet is still not back to what it was pre-pandemic

While at it, if you have young children (younger than the ones having the pizza party downstairs), then don’t come here because even the non-handicapped room I was in no longer had a bathtub Despite my bad experience, I’m not giving 1 or 2 stars because the rooms were clean, smelled fine, and had no bed bugs or roaches I also believe that if they can get more desk staff, reopen the pool, and bring back the pre-pandemic breakfast buffet, then it can return to 5 stars

I can’t say enough good things about Allyson and her amazing B&B I only stayed for one night while in town for work but I’ll definitely be back if given the chance Great room, so cozy, many surprise amenities, super clean, free and easy parking, just perfect

I was able to walk to some great spots for dinner/lunch as the location is near many quality restaurants Breakfast was phenomenal and Allyson was quick to accommodate my early morning start So very appreciated!

Rachele Brown

This was a great B&B, so cute and quaint We stayed in their largest room (The Maids Suite) to accommodate our family of 4, which was on the top floor It was spacious and comfortable

The made to order breakfast Allyson made us in the morning was delicious! We were only there for one night and got to do a tour of Yuengling brewery which was very cool! We would definitely come back and stay here longer – and you can’t beat the affordable nightly rate!

Amy Walsh

I chose wisely! This location was perfect and near where I had business The room was lovely and had high quality fixtures, thick towels, little extras that show care Allyson is a wonderful host and owner

Breakfast had many options and the food was very fresh and the service was welcome in this self service world of ours I am telling anyone visiting the area that this is the place to stay!

My girlfriend and I had a fantastic weekend at Harry S Packer mansion The moment we arrived we were warmly greeted by the staff, all of whom are exceptional in their professionalism, hospitality and attentiveness to ensuring our stay was nothing short of perfect

The mansion itself boasts some seriously magnificent architecture, and gorgeous views and scenery from all sides, as well as a beautiful veranda out frontTo the staff/ manager–thank you again for the wonderful stay, and we hope to become regulars at your establishment!

Jeremy Yowell

Booked a fun Halloween weekend stay at the Harry Packer mansion and had a great timeThe mansion itself is impressive and well maintained, with breakfast served daily on the bottom floor, a well stocked bar onsite, and a wonderful veranda as well There are additional rooms in the adjacent carriage house which is where our actual room was

Walking into Jim Thorpe proper was very easy, although be warned that the walk back is fairly steep and if you have issues with steep inclines you may want to plan aheadThe service while staying at this bed and breakfast was also great, with personable staff and an easy check in/out process The only complaint we had while staying was a large amount of lady bugs in our room, however we explained the situation to Management and I’d expect that issue to have been resolvedI’d definitely recommend staying at Harry Packard if you’re looking to spend time in Jim Thorpe!

Susan Ham

We received a gift certificate for the HP Mansion as a wedding gift but we’re unable to use it during COVID It is extremely disappointing to learn that the new owners will not honor it now We planned to bring friends so , of course, we would have spent more money than what the gift was worth so I’m not understanding why they will not honor it at this time

This is extremely poor customer service so I do not recommend this place at all I had to give it a star rating to post this review so I chose one but I prefer to give them 0 stars

Walking into the hotel front lobby, it smelled and looked clean That continued up to my room and it made it a great start to my tripMy stay was in room 229, the 2 bedroom suite which included a full kitchen

Everything worked as expected and the room was well maintained with the required upkeep of maintenance with the walls, plumbing, electric, floors and furniture Once again very clean and tidyStaff were very friendly and were always visible The indoor pool was clean and well kept The kids loved it! The offered breakfast wasa superior option than going out to eat Scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast sandwiches, selection of cereals, oatmeal, yogurts, fruit, waffles amongst other choices Coffee station and juice station was greatI would certainly stay here again! I may likely book again next year to just to get away for a few days and enjoy the great breakfast and Jim Thorpe about 25 minutes awayWe had a dog on the trip, so it was great that it was a pet friendly facility

Dani

This hotel is the cleanest I’ve stayed in the last 6 months, and I average 18-20 nights per month in hotels due to workStaff- Very very pleasant and provided excellent customer service throughout my stay I’m sorry I didn’t get the young lady with short brown hairs name that works the front, but she went above and beyond to always make sure I had everything I needed

Housekeeping was also amazing Unlike other hotels (since covid) they offer regular housekeeping a few days per week which worked well for my extended stayNice size pool and hot tub!Laundry room with plenty of washers and dryersI definitely will choose this location for all my future stays when in the area

Ted Nelson

The room was clean and the hotel interior had been recently updated The hot breakfast included scrambled eggs and kielbasa along with typical continental breakfast itemsThe mattress was too soft for my preference and the sofa was painfully uncomfortable

We booked the room 21 days in advance for 1 night at a rate of $237 I called the hotel a few days prior and asked to extend my stay and arrive one day early The additional day was $376 What they didn’t advise was that they would not honor my current rate for the previously booked nightFurther, the max rate posted of the back of the door stated $309I spoke with the Assistant General Manager about both points They were unhelpful to say the leastThe room served its purpose, but I will not stay here on future trips
