Hotel is clean, comfortable, and well kept Staff are friendly Very accommodating

We work nights and they let us check in at 8:00 AM the morning of our stay Since we sleep during the day, quietness is a must Staff was very courteous concerning that point Great value for the amenities received Pool on site King suite with jacuzzi available Rooms are spacious Breakfast is complimentary Fitness room, laundry, and business center on site Highly recommend!

Sylvia Taylor

We stayed here during Mardi Gras for the first time Check in was a breeze and the room was a good size As soon as my head hit the pillow I was asleep

The mattress is very comfortable Their housekeeping team was phenomenal and the included Breakfast was a hit each morning No problems experienced during off stay The guest that was above us had small children and they must of had an overloaded of sugar for breakfast because this particular morning they ran around their room for about an hour straight

Sharney Levasseur

We much enjoyed our stay The rooms were spacy, clean, and invitingMy only two cons were:1

The walls did not block sound as well as expected2 The front desk gave the name and room number of someone in our party to someone that walked in and asked I don’t know the hotel’s privacy policy, but I was extremely appalled that this was possible

This location is a good example of a classic Hilton Nice clean room Hot shower

nice sized TV Beds are always a little too firm but overall a nice placeGood breakfast Location is far enough away from the street to have no traffic noise Right next to Sonic for some quick snacksAbsolutely worth a stay if you’re in the area

Daryl McCleery

My hotel experience here was fun everything was working and everything was working and everything was clean The staff were friendly and hopeful when needed This is a very busy hotel

It’s pretty much the only and best choice in the whole area so hence the traffic There are plenty of restaurants nearby and shopping The location of the pool gives it pretty much full sun from sun up till sundown I would recommend staying here again if you’re in the area

Glenn Willett

We had a pleasant experience The room was clean and the beds were really plush(topper) and made it easy to fall asleep The breakfast was hot and ready which is one of only 2 reasons why we picked here

They had eggs (covered in cheese), sausage, ham or bacon (usually one meat), waffle maker, cereal, milk, granola, oat meal, muffins, orange juice, apple juice, etc Just about all the things you could expect to have The hotel staff was pleasant to deal with (checking in, during our entire stay, and while leaving) They are a pet friendly establishment which is the 2nd reason we chose to stay here There is plenty of grass in the back for the puppy to walk around This hotel is right next to Academy, which is great for me And right behind several food places, (taco bell, sonic, waffle house and several others) Great location Thank yall!

I loved this hotel, even during a power outage when a storm/rainy weather came through – as expected from weather forecastsFrom the time my colleagues and I checked-in, Front Desk staff were pleasant, patient and knowledgeableThe rooms were very nice, clean and loved the sanitary steps as well

Conveniently located to dining, shopping Wish they had more entertainment options available w/in the city, but otherwise it was a pleasant experience I give them 5 🌟!

Isaac Kennen

Facility is nice, but heavy smoking by guests and staff in the pool area ruined a space that otherwise was very nice Only one elevator, and it’s painfully slow Rooms and desk staff were great

The ladies working the coffee bar were efficient, but seemed like they probably aren’t treated well by guests, they appeared pretty unhappy

Lewis Mingledorff

This place has a very professional, courteous responsive staff and they work hard and do a good jobThe parking was ample and seemed well litThe facility is very clean and tidy including the low number of functioning elevators

The room was spotless and very comfortableLow water pressure in a cramped shower from wall to curtain makes for a less than satisfying experience for a large-ish person The shower curtain was very shortTP seemed to be very cheap low quality single-ply type The toilet seat was flimsy and slid from side to side off of the rim of the bowlThere are no USB charging points in the room I stayed inThe television was intermittent during rainy weatherThere are very nicely kept-up leisure, work-out, and pool facilitiesThis property was good over-all and while it was not inexpensive it is not out of line price-wise with other similar hotels in Houma

first of all they had roaches in the pool yes more than one! the room smelled terrible no mats in the bathroom causing water to be everywhere the hallways stinks no towels in the bathroom when we got there the air conditioner was clicking the entire stay i barely could sleep

overall they need to get it together take a bulldozer knock it down & redo it not to mention it had creeps staring at my daughters at the pool with the roaches!

Monique Jackson

This place could definitely use a remodel I’m surprised the Marriott chain even allows it to carry it’s name The hallways smelled like old carpet and chlorine

My room smelled like someone had been smoking in it Inside my room the chair that sits at the desk was peeling The furniture was old and chipped On top of it being a 2 star hotel the staff rushed me to check out Highly disappointed

Vanesa Doucet

The pool area was dirty the whole time Breakfast was ok but they had veggie sausages We had to stay here because we had no power due the hurricane Barry and they went up on the rate

So we had no cable to entertain our kid’s our kid’s could not enjoy the pool because they had older kids jumping in the pool and no one did nothing about it It’s an ok hotel but was not happy we had to pay $160 the second night and the first night we paid $9100 Bad enough we lost all our food and had to leave our home and they did that to us

Inspite of the below mentioned shortcomings I am changing my rating from 2 to 4 starsThe hurricane repair work had not been halted Instead it continued so unobtrusively and quietly that one does not realize that it is ongoing

The property was very clean including the groundsThe bed was VERY comfortableThe facilities inside the hotel were up to date and very niceThe staff, particularly housekeeping and desk were professional, courteous, and I never had to wait on anything I neededOverall, this property would get 5 stars from me The issues remaining are being addressed and I will stay here in the futureVery expensive for a hotel in the South with no pool (Pool is closed) Apparently hurricane repairs were halted before completion)I believe the prices are, similar to other hotels in the area, the result of gouging the oil companies who have to put their employees up somewhereHotel employees were really great

Vivian Madison Mahoney

Stayed here often over the years as family in Theriot Due to hurricane Ida damages they are still remodeling but our room was awesome!! Friendly, kind and helpful staffWe didn’t like it Because the elevator wasn’t working and climbing the stairs was not my favorite thing to do at 80

But sometimes we have to face a few disadvantages to have the best otherwise

Sam

I read other reviews and i see just about the same trend They just open and charge $218 a night plus taxes it comes to $256 No cafeteria so no breakfast, elevator still down, walked all the way to the end of the building to walk up the steps (no stairs at the front) and the key did not work on the room lock

Had to walk back down because the elevator still not operating, very dirty inside and out, rooms have paper tags for numbers If the facility is not to par for full price, it is an embarrassment to Hilton to open a hotel and charge full price with half the amenities still down It is like going to Disney World and pay a full price and half the rides are under repairs Seem Hilton does not care about the reviews since they still operating under the same conditions, the why the facility is as up to now, this will be a $6995 a night Hotel (or Motel for that matter) I wonder why the city allows Hilton to operate under these conditionsHilton answer and they are sorry about the bad experience and asked me to contact them I don’t know why!! The review and complaint are very specific about the issues and concerns Hilton just want to answer to show they read the reviews but non of the answers they provide express what they are doing about the reported issues Hilton,if you are really concerned about the complaints, write and tell us what you are doing about them, don’t just say you are sorry about the bad experience

Josh, who works the front desk is very rude Lied and said I booked a smoking room, when I had my verification saying I did not book a smoking room They changed my room and then when I got in the new room there was one set of raggedy towel

So I had to call the desk a second time to get towels and soap Then of course I had to go up to the desk to get them, because nobody was gonna bring them to us The toilet was wobbly, and there was black mold throughout the bathroom and the room The ceiling in the bathroom was falling If it wasn’t for the fact that we were in town for a funeral, we would have left There were people sitting outside their rooms with furniture from the room on the walkway I have stayed in way less expensive rooms that were of much better qualityI also have detailed pictures to back up my review

Gina Castro

When I booked this place, it said there was free breakfast But when I came here, they said they haven’t had breakfast in 10 months That’s false advertisement, and they should remove this from their website

Also they are doing construction at this hotel and it started at 6 am this morning one unit over It’s incredibly loud I called the front desk and they said there was nothing they could do about it and no supervisor I could speak to Ridiculous

We were to stay 2 nights When I was handed a paper to initial… here and there… was not stated to me that it was for one night Slept 1 night

We had left by 10:00 am and didn’t return till 12 hrs later to find out they took all our things out the room and gave it away No other rooms available They said since I signed paperwork checking in, it was my fault they gave the room away They didn’t have my correct phone number to reach us This is the kicker… when we returned, our room key wouldn’t work, so down to front desk I go Tell her it don’t work, ask me which room and gives us workable keys( never ask for ID to confirm that is our room) Once we are in, find out our stuff is gone, while I’m on the phone with front desk, the people she gave the room away to is walking in the room with their keys

I’ll preface this review by saying that the staff members were incredibly nice and hospitable The breakfast was awesome and the location of the hotel is great There was an issue with the hallways during our stay

The lobby and rooms were climate controlled, but there was minimal to zero airflow in the hallways They were muggy and hot Incredibly uncomfortable experience that did not change over the 4 days we were here Also, while this experience was unique to my room from our group of 5 rooms, my electronic deadbolt wouldn’t engage I could lock the door at night from the inside, but once I left the room, I had no way to secure my room and anyone from the hallway could have easily accessed my items by simply opening the door I brought this need to the attend of the hotel maintenance team and the GM, but it was not resolved over my 4 day stay We were also never offered the opportunity to change rooms and only received updates on the repair’s progress if we asked the front desk We really love this hotel, but this most recent stay left much more to be desired for $170/night

Vanessa Gautreaux

Excellent hotel, extremely clean Danny checked us in and out the next day She was amazing

She went above and beyond She is definitely a huge asset to this hotel location and to the Hilton Hotles family I was able to observe her with other customers and she treated them just as good as she treated me and my daughter We will definitely be visiting again Rooms were very clean Breakfast was amazing and there were so many options I cannot wait to come back to Houma and stay at the Homewood

Aaron N

Nice hotel with friendly staff Large room and comfortable bed All of the major items are checked off

Hotel really needs a refurb My TV was broken Computer chair was very wobbly and sat leaning to one side Carpet was stained and sticky (not just in the stained area There is mold growing in the shower On the side the headboard of the bed is all scratched up and for a $200 plus room they need to pay closer attention to finer details The Wednesday night social was very nice and the breakfast had the best flavor or just about any hotel breakfast that I have had
