Customer service was excellent! Room was awesome! Hard wood flooring was so clean you could walk barefoot and NOTHING get on our feet!! Bed was so comfortable! House keeping lady was super nice as was the front desk person Most of all I left something valuable in the room I called and within five minutes Christie went to the room found my item and called me back! I highly recommend staying here

I will again for sure!

Matthew Milner

We had a two night stay and everything went very well Simple check in Our room was easy to get in and out of on the ground floor of the courtyard

Our room was simple but well appointed The AC seemed to run all night, but it was not loud and we slept well on a bed that we initially thought was going to be too soft They are right beside the civic center and a short, 3-block walk to Dauphin Street and all of the bars, restaurants and music venues And parking was free! We would stay here again

Don’t forget to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any place This site will compare countless booking web sites and usually will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is the best rated in this area

I’ve been coming here for years If you choose this place you won’t be disappointedIf you are looking for a beautiful historic hotel with an amazing courtyard, this is it Understand this isn’t a newly constructed hotel, it was built in the 1800’s The staff was friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the courtyard is gorgeous

I have stayed at many hotels, including a couple of resorts and I have never had better customer service anywhere! From the young lady who checked us in to the lady working breakfast to the housekeeping staff to the people who were at checkout EVERYONE was friendly and pleasant! It was also nicely decorated and clean It has a pool table and board games in the lobby

Will definitely stay here anytime I am spending the night in Mobile!

Breanna Chappelle

This is definitely one of the better hotels we’ve stayed at The employees were very nice and helpful The rooms were clean and it was nice and quiet

Hilton offers something that most hotels don’t, you can check in, get a digital room key, and check out all on an app and you never have to talk to anyone, it’s great for introverts or people with social anxiety I would recommend this hotel is anyone

We decided to give this place a try despite it’s rating…You can tell they tried with decor and presentation also staff was nice and helpful I get it that it’s a old building but come on The lobby was nicely decorated but the complementary water which looked nice had no cups

Then the hall ways were dark and hot with a strange smell The ice machine was broken The carpets looked very old and dirty The bathroom looked clean from a far but needed help Sink was leaking, mini fridge was warm The beds were hard and the pillows… Come on!!! They are so tiny The closet was very dark We didn’t eat at the restaurant because we heard it was awful I would give this place a 2 star but we did get to rest and it was quiet and safe I wouldn’t go back

Nice hotel in downtown Mobile 8 minute walk to Convention center on Water Street They do not have a parking garage

A separate valet parking company will serve you at the door for $25 per night It is easy to retrieve vehicle with text click I never had to wait Very efficient There is a nearby garage that says hotel $10 this is not actually the case for Admiral It is for the hotel across the street HOLIDAY Inn Express I think I had a wonderful corner room with a beautiful bath and plenty of room NO MICROWAVES They have a refrigerator My first night (Monday) I heard music all night long, but did not see or hear anything in the streets or hallway It must have been below me

Sandi Davis

We stayed two nights at The Admiral The room was nice The staff were very helpful and accommodating

I had requested a room on an upper floor because there was a wedding and a reunion at the hotel this weekend The beds were super comfortable, and we slept very well both nights The hotel is in a great location, and we walked to many restaurants, a candy store, and the history museum We will stay here again for a return trip to Mobile

Staff was friendly, patient, and professional The hotel was fully booked the night before my arrival, and staff was having a hard time getting rooms cleaned and ready in time for arriving guests I watched staff interact professionally under stressful circumstances

It’s easy to give good customer service when things are slow — it’s another thing to maintain calm under stress As for the facility, room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and hot shower Breakfast had nice options — including fresh fruit, waffles, and hard-boiled eggs And good, strong, hot coffee Location is close to interstate, which is certainly convenient, but photos suggest a relaxing outdoor fire pit area —it faces a fast food drive through Great for a place to rest on the road or while exploring the area, but not a hotel where you want to linger and enjoy outdoor spaces Lastly, I was on the third floor and could hear every step of the guests above me, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper I would definitely stay again

Mace

Loved this little hotel by the freeway! We were unable to stay another night in our Airbnb but they were able to help, even included a small discount to help with pricing There is a hot breakfast that consists of oatmeal, toast, cereal, waffles, and fruit Coffee and tea available 24/7

Even though we were warned, I wasn’t excited about the floors being damp from being cleaned, my children almost fell a few times from going to tile from the damp carpet Glad nobody got hurt The pool is saline not chlorine and is handicap accessible They do have ramps and handicap parking available as well Only 2 luggage carriers so if someone has one in their room you are out of luck The bathroom was a little dirty when we went to use it, there was something on the shower wall that looked kind of gross This hotel is pet accessible as well with a $50 pet fee with up to 2 pets allowed at a time Check in at 3pm Check out at 11am Microwave and small refrigerators in the room Dryer in the restroom Iron in the closet Also liked the curtain that could separate the beds from the little study area

THURAYYAH PITTS

Room was spacious and clean Smelled like bleach which was a good thing However sheets had wet spot (didn’t fully dry) they brought another set of sheets and same issue

I just covered the spot with a towel as I was just glad to know at least the sheets were clean lol However between the bleach used in cleaning of sheets and the bleach to clean room, smelled like a swimming pool The shower door was broken and the smoke detectors in the bedroom were covered (previous guests must have been smoking) But overall it was a good stay as it was clean and spacious Oh yea the food SUCKS

This is one of the best values we’ve found The hotel is ingenious in it’s appointments Space utilization, amenities and customer service is A+

Chris at the front desk was wonderful and Queen in the restaurant made breakfast very pleasantI have stayed in Ritz-Carlton properties that were not as clean and with poorer customer serviceKUDOS for a well designed and well managed and operated hotelThe park across the street was pleasant Being able to park once and walk everywhere was also nice

Steven Cameron

Overall this is a great hotel The reason for only leaving 4 stars

being that this is a Hilton, one would believe that the air conditioner in the room would work better than it did Yes we understand that it’s in the heat of the summer But it shouldn’t have taken until after midnight to cool off the room Secondly, I had to unplug the fridge due to the fact that it was extremely hot around the compressor To prevent a potential fire, I unplugged the fridgeOther than that great hotel and staff!!

Emily Reid Selvidge

I brought my 3 kids (10 months, 9, 12) for our first Mardi Gras I chose the location for the balcony/bar area since I have a baby and wanted the option to go in and out during the parade The day we checked out we walked around downtown then returned to have dinner and drinks to watch the parade

When we returned the staff followed us into the restaurant and asked us to leave because we were no longer “guests” of the hotel I was very disappointed as we had spent the past 2 nights in the hotel and had multiple meals in the hotel restaurant and was not told once we left we would not be able to return I have never been refused service or asked to leave a hotel restaurant Otherwise we had a great time The restaurant staff was amazing!

Contacted the hotel more than twelve hours before arrival to get one king instead of two doubles No response Contacted them again

Guess what?: no response Checking in, the trainee clearly has not been trained and has no idea what to do with elite status guests (I don’t blame the trainee, I blame the management) This continued to be my experience with most of the front desk employees All of them were nice, but they all had different ideas of elite benefits (due to management training) My room was okay although a bit dated, although the shower didn’t drain at all Surely housekeeping should note this when cleaning Also, I was worried about my car in this area of town (I was surprised the parking was free) Management is clearly just out for the bottom line and employees are trying to do their best but aren’t actually trained because $$$$$$$$$

So I will say after reading the reviews I was skeptical about staying here but I took a chance and stayed and let me tell you I’m glad I did if nothing else bur to experience the staff they are phenomenal every one of them Is the motel dated and need upgrades, yes but guess what they are doing that right now, they started at the top and working their way down and no not once was it noisy, loud or dirty Just remember most people only write reviews when they want to complain but fewer write ones when they are happy

Bottom line is the restaurant is great, M club is great staff and stay are great!! Enjoy your stay and enjoy the staff and make your own opinion The pictures I am attaching were taken on 5/13/2022

Convention! I spent 2 hours on the phone with 2 different reps trying to book a room After being hung up on twice, I stayed elsewhere The food the first night was disgusting

Raw hamburgers with burned exterior and mayonnaise instead of coleslaw The next day, chicken and veggies was fine Unfortunately, they ran out of food each meal so those in back did not get a full meal In planning the convention, the service reps kept changing jobs so communication was difficult and what we were told did not happen Promises made and broken Do not recommend for business or pleasure One man in the lobby spent an hour watching folks check in He said it was incredibly slow service Don’t try to buy a soft drink, must stand in line at check out to pay, a line of 25 she said Not worth a $3 drink Complete nightmare

Anyone taking a cruise or just looking for a wonderful place to get away you have found the perfect place With individual rooms and cruise parking with 3-5 min walk to the port I was greeted at the door and walked to my room by the receptionist

Everything done so well with clean room and I even had my own fireplace in the room Would recommend to anyone

Sherry Toney

This little place was absolutely amazing!! My husband and I stayed in Suite 8, the Ben & Jen suite, and we were not disappointed! The rooms were immaculate, staff was amazingly helpful and nice, and it was so quiet, which was exactly what we were looking for! It is close enough to drive or walk to so many restaurants, and beaches, and has so many historical buildings around it This is definitely our new vacation place!

Excellent place to stay when visiting Mobile, AL Our suite was extremely comfortable, neat & clean Lots of extras provided for our convenience & comfort

The office Staff & kitchen employees were all very friendly & helpful They made you feel welcomed They did everything to make our stay there pleasant We loved the two nights of free dinner food, beer & wine Plenty of indoor & outdoor games to play in addition to the pool & exercise room No wonder they have received so many awards of excellence If ever in Mobile again this is the place to stay I highly recommend this locationSelina D, Decatur, GA

Audra Davis

What a horrible experience! First room had non-working refrigerator, moved to 2nd which had non-working AC in mid-July and they wouldn’t move us again or try to fix until following mid-morning, but that was just part of it Lynn at front desk, after I had voluntarily gone down to let her know I had service animals, accused me of having fake documentation and charged me an illegal pet fee She was so terrible and embarrassed me and had me so upset after

I still have an open complaint against this hotel & I will never stay here again If customer service doesn’t make it right, I will also not patronize Hilton brands again either My husband and I travel for work 85% of the days in a year, so I’m sure another hotel chain would love to have us

I am sensitive to smells, but the room was absolutely pleasant, clean, and fresh It was charming and comfortable We had a delightful time

Everyone working there was courteous, helpful, friendly, and hospitable I wish the patrons had been the same Several people spent their time smoking near the pool One man even stayed on the pool deck smoking cigarette after cigarette and tossing the butts on the ground where people walk barefoot If only we as customers could be as courteous to one another as the staff of Drury Inn is to all of us!

Paul Stevenson

We stayed at this location, for two nights The desk help was wonderful, the room was nice The complimentary breakfast was hot and fresh

Their happy hour was fun I rate this Hotel a 4 for only one reason The design of the building sucks Never in my life have I been to a four-story hotel of this size and all they had was one medium-size elevator to service the staff and the guest We stayed on the 3rd floor and standing for 10 minutes waiting on an elevator that was empty enough to hold us, was a norm in the mornings and afternoons This has been exacerbated by the Covid distancing rules I am handicapped and the stairs were not an option unless for emergencies The location is not the easiest to get to either but that is because of the design of the streets in this area of Mobile That for sure is not their fault The staff had nothing to do with the poor design of the building, so I rate them a 5 We would stay here again but I would request a room on the ground

Amoreena Thach

Amazing customer service! The best breakfast I’ve seen at any hotel and the dinner is amazing too, yes I said dinner! They serve dinner with drinks I was with my family and none of us drink but they have 2 or 3 free alcoholic drinks with your dinner The rooms were clean they had a refrigerator and microwave in the room

The store at the front where you buy snacks was expensive so a vending machine would have been nice but I still rate it as my favorite hotel ever

My daughter and I decided to go to the ocean spur of the moment They had availability and it the rooms were reasonably priced Once we got there I was greeted by Gwen, whom was very nice

Actually all the staff was very friendly! The room was very nice The pool was nice, and the lounge area outside was nice Overall, it was a great experience and would highly recommend this motel to anyone!

Cody Marcel-Morris

I absolutely loved my stay here! I stayed overnight on my drive from Tampa, FL to Galveston, TX and I could not have been happier

The staff were exceptional and very kind! I checked in a little late and the staff was very helpful about it I checked out and had a quick breakfast burrito and coffee from the bistro restaurant in the lobby that was very good, but a little pricey All in all I will definitely be staying there again on my way back to FL and on any future trips to and from those destinations!

Heather Mareno

We stayed here over the weekend for my daughters softball tournament I was very please at how clean the room was and I loved the shower!!! It made up for how disappointed I was that they dont have double queen rooms and we got a double full room They were happy to move us to a king size bed but that room was too small

Employees were very friendly and had no problem helping us when needed I will definitely stay again!!!

Hotel is beautiful inside Room is very nice, clean and roomy; beds are very comfortable There’s a $75 holding fee for incidentals

One drink vending machine only took cash, went to another vending machine and looked like it took cards; however, when trying it all it said was authorizing but never did anything so we canceled the transaction We went back to the room and tried to order some waters through room service but was told it might be a little bit because they will have to ask house keeping to bring it to us House keeping staff was very pleasant Restaurant was good, only one server available but she was great Parking options are either valet or self parking at another hotel parking garage for almost the same amount as the valet

John Olsen

Five star review, but that’s what I would expect to experience for a hotel in this price range Really impressive architecture inside, rooms were very comfortable, clean, and well maintained Ate dinner at the 1st floor bar

Food, atmosphere, and service were terrific Really enjoyed my stay, first class Only surprise was the $24 mandatory valet parking (or go find public garage), though I did take advantage of it and appreciate it

Zirconia Alleyne

The hotel is beautiful, but we were not treated well and some things are slipping through the cracks Valet was nice, but they are understaffed and couldn’t keep up with demand We saw them wreck a luxury vehicle in the rush of trying to keep up with customers

We booked the hospitality suite because we were in town for our wedding reception (my husband and I eloped last year in Kenya) and needed extra space to get dressed The suite looked nice but needed maintenance The Murphy bed leaned to one side and the first pack n play they brought for our newborn would not stay engaged (unsafe!) Upon checking out, my credit card was charged for a marble table that I’m sure was chipped before our stay Even after communicating that I noticed it was chipped while getting my makeup done, the director of sales charged us without doing further investigation This hotel looks great on the surface but its operations are struggling Also, the photographer for our bridal party called ahead to get permission for us to take photos inside the hotel; however that was not communicated with the staff on duty We were questioned by several staff members and watched like a hawk by the head of security even after he was given the info he needed It was such an uncomfortable experience and disappointing

The hotel itself was great Cee Cee was amazing she was helpful from the hotel HOWEVER THE TAXI SERVICE TO GET BACK FROM THE CRUISE TERMINAL WAS AWFUL!!!! To get us to the cruise terminal was good but getting back was a different story

The hotel wouldn’t help us call the taxi service, they offered no help!!! The taxi number we had was to a different company!! Left several message to call us back with nothingno communication at all We waited 45 mins and finally called an Uber Of course the taxi serviced arrived and we called to cancel the Uber and got charged the $2400 dollars anyway!! To stay at the hotel was great but I would definitely check into a different form of transportation The money we thought we saved was not worth the trouble we went through to get back to our vehicle!! Be aware!!

My wife and I have stayed here in the past as well for tennis tournaments at Mobile Tennis Center It is about 10-12 minutes away Although rooms have not been recently updated, the rooms and main areas were very clean and everyone was very nice and accommodating

Breakfast buffet was about what I would expect, but it was well staffed and did appear to be continuously restocked I felt safe there and plenty of food options close by I will be staying there again in the future

The extra stars are really and truly because of Ms Jocelyn and Melissa, the front desk associates and the shuttle driver (Forgot his name)

From the time we showed up, to the time we left, they were nothing less than amazing!!! Knowledgeable, resourceful, kind, personable I could go on We came for a Flower Show that was cancelled due to the sudden change in weather, but the staff at Hampton still made the visit a great one The one star is missing because the room wasn’t the cleanest and the shuttle van could use an good upholstery cleaning In the room, there was strands of hair, of all places, in the bathroom, the phone looked old and worn and the room it self stood for cosmetic touch-ups, I could go on, but overall, it was a decent place for us to lay after a long exhausting day Location is great! And the breakfast was yummy as usual! Thank you to the staff at this Hampton Inn, you guys are amazing!

I arrived in to the airport late so the rental car desk was closed and I had planned to stay here at the Hampton and grab my car in the morningI called the hotel as I was walking through the terminal The front desk lady was very pleasant, helpful and explained where I needed to be for the shuttle

The shuttle arrived promptly and the driver was also very friendly and helpful This theme continued on throughout my stayThe reason I’m posting this review is because this isn’t my normal experience these days especially on the grave yard shift It was VERY refreshing and I appreciate the commitment to customer serviceI would absolutely stay again due to this Great job folks

Staff was friendly and helpful From directions around the city to a nearby ice-cream shop There was a very nice cashier that gave me a breakdown of how to get a balcony view next time

Then there was Mr White He was cleaning the floor when I spoke with him but he was very informative about the hotel as well as the goodness and kindness of the staff and where he like to go for sightseeing as well as good dining This was a wonderful experience We will return and this time, we’ll have a balcony view of Royal Street

The people!! The front desk went out of their way to help me get things situated in my roomThe next morning the breakfast was diverse and good The two ladies working in that area, Tammy and Ms Mary were so cordial

They both greeted me One went from table to table making sure everything was good and cleaning up, while the other was keeping the food supplied They are a great teamIt is a little older hotel, no USB ports for charging and other little things, but overall it is neat, clean, and the staff is so friendly and helpful

Chose this Hampton for location along I-10 Easy access off the highway and ample parking The overall property is a little worn, but our room was clean and appeared to be updated recently

The beds were newer and very comfortable The bathroom was clean and we received fresh towels the second day Everyone we interacted with was pleasant and professional The only downside was the quality of the complimentary breakfast and coffee It was not as good as the other Hampton/Hilton properities where I’ve stayed before

Norman Herrin

The hotel was right where we needed it during our impromptu overnight stop on our road trip Hotel is in nice condition, not as new as ones next door but also a better deal Really nice people at the check-in counter (don’t know there names, but they were originally from Texas) and our room request was accommodated

There’s a Hooter’s restaurant next door within walking distance Would stay here again

I would give this place 1 star but the staff was very nice and helpful The place needs a really good cleaning and updating Carpets in halls needed to be vacuumed and we’re stained

The room carpets are stained (see picture) We had several carpet stains like the one in the picture The bathroom shower had mold in the caulking We had to shoulder check the bathroom door to get it open as the bottom of the door scrapped along the tile floor The rooms sleep 6 (2 queen beds and sleeper sofa) but, the bed in the sofa was unusable Mattress was extremely thin and you could feel every bar and spring under Had to put the mattress on the floor for the kids They were still very uncomfortable Don’t plan on 6 people sleeping in this room with any comfort! It’s too bad this place is not nicer as my daughter goes to University of South Alabama across the street We would have been using this hotel for our several stays over the next 4 years because of it’s convenient location, but unfortunately we will be looking elsewhereBreakfast was good and staff running the breakfast area were great! Workout room was nice Lobby is clean

Michelle String

It feels like this hotel wants to be amazing, but just missed the mark The outlets in the bathroom didn’t work The vent fan didn’t work and looked gross

The shower has some sort of orange gunk on the trim There was a metal plate with rusty screws on the shower wall I could see outside from the lack of seal around the air unit, which made the room always feel humid even with the air in 64 The halls felt like there was no air and they were so humid water was dripping from the walls and cieling The peep hole cover doesn’t even cover the peep hole And the cords are all haphazardly draped around and the cord keeper being way too short And the housekeeping carts are so massive, they barely fit in the elevator, so there were multiple times we had to wait for 2 or 3 elevators before being able to get on There were trash cans just hanging out in the hallway blocking the exit doorThe convenience was nice, but there are much better hotels just a bit further down the roadAlso, the staff was friendly and helpful That was a huge plus!

We stayed from July 23/25 it was so amazing! Maria the Manager on duty was the first we saw she was so friendly and sweet she helped get us rooms right away and placed together this alone gave us peace of mind with a newborn baby then the staff all amazing with smiles and pleasant greetings! I was going down to wash and ran into a hskp at about 9pm and she was so happy asked if we needed anything that alone was so special I can’t say how much your staff made us feel so welcomed I would rate my stay at a 10+ and cannot wait to return again I didn’t want to leave It was perfect Thank you again for being so amazing

I didn’t have a clue about this Suite, but I was blown away when I arrived to see how it looked in comparison with some others And the room was nice, clean and spacious We had a nice window view of downtown, just in the mist of everything

In fact we walked to all the local locations Customer service was good I would stay again

25 Stars Check in was a breeze and front desk staff was very kind

Lobby is nice with reasonably priced snacks and drinks Get to the room and after getting settled, boom found a bed bug No one’s fault it happens After I inspected the beds (and my luggage) I brought the bug to Khaela and another young lady, also told them what should be done(oh btw, I am a health, sanitation, and habitability inspector for the Navy) They were polite and gave us a new room Complete 180 from our first room The furniture had food smudges, dishes not put away, fridge was dirty, and an overwhelming smell of what I assume was curry from the previous guest We stayed without a fuss regardless The next morning realized I had left my toothbrush in bed bug room Here’s the sad part, went to the room to retrieve it (still had the key) and found the housekeeper MAKING THE BEDS I HAD TOSSED DURING MY INSPECTION Room was not put out of order, clearly pest control wasn’t called Disappointing I would recommend the stay due to friendly hotel staff Just be sure to check the corners of the mattresses

It is a nice hotel right across Mobile Convention Center, which is linked through an overhead bridge to the hotel Hotel has a big parking garage Rooms are clean

They still have COVID rules applied to room service, so your room doesn’t get fixed unless you request for it I never requested to got my room fixed during my three day stay, so not sure about the service The small lotion bottle that they put in the bathroom was empty Other than that, it was not a bad experience We had a conference at the convention center with some events at the hotel Hotel has decent sized meeting space

Ace Roberts

Great hotel! Rooms are nice and food is good Have stayed here twice for business travel Highly recommend dining in the restaurants at the hotel and not ordering it to go

Dining in the food looks amazing plated, ordering to go it looks like they just throw it into a thin cardboard boxThe hotel bar is very cozy and the bar tenders are extremely friendlyWould recommend this hotel and try to stay on a higher floor with the waterside view

Es Jay

The hotel was beautiful I had a few comical moments while I was there I did not know that I had to swipe my room card in the elevator for it to move

Oh yeah, I was pushing the emergency buttons, explaining that something was wrong with MY elevator I got off and got on another one Then I read the sign posted inside the elevator Love that extra security feature It would have been nice if the people at the front desk or the person at emergency would have mentioned that to me Other than that, it was a nice stay
