Nice resort Stayed for 3 nights The rooms were clean but got a little muggy a few times

One faucet plug wouldn’t come up so that meant one sink couldn’t be used The amenities are nice – the pools, outdoor and indoor, are great The gym is nice as well The grounds around the resort are quiet and very nice to walk Overall a pleasant experience and trip

Ryan Campbell

For the price, I expected better The hotel is nice, but the room left a lot to desire They weren’t cleaning rooms because of “COVID” but nobody on the hotel staff wore a mask? If you don’t want to pay the staff to be there or are trying to pinch pennies, at least say it or come up with a better excuse

As for the room, it smelled damp and the headboard had a water stain They obviously had a water intrusion issues that wasn’t handled properly The rest of the room get dated and sticky Definitely not the resort feel or worth the price Best bet is to go to the place at the top of the hill It is a resort

The location of the hotel was great! Everything was no more than a 15 minute drive! I especially loved that they upgraded my room when I mentioned that we were there to celebrate my husband’s birthday! It always smelled clean when you walked into the hotel lobby and the room was very clean and well kept! Staff was so helpful and courteous! The only thing I did not like was the breakfast It was pretty bland I know they were making renovations to the restaurant and I hope it includes the food

Not worth the extra money to include it with your booking I probably will not add the breakfast option the next time I stayOther than that it was a great experience and I hope to be back soon!

Daniel Maurer

Attended a conference at the hotel and also stayed throughout the duration I enjoyed how the hotel was a southwestern style to it with a nice court yard The room was clean and nice

The hotel staff were pleasant and attentiveThe conference center was also quite nice and well-kept Staff ensured tables/chairs were set up correctly and assisted with technology as neededOverall a great experience

I coordinated a wedding at this stunning location and I have to say I was blown away by the level of service and quality of the venue I appreciated the rustic/festive atmosphere Allegra, Yvette, and Jesus bent over backwards to help the event run smoothly

The staff were all consistently professional and helpful We prepared in the Leddy Ranch and Dahlia rooms which were wonderful! The ceremony was held in the courtyard and was beautiful The reception was held in the spacious ballroom with a taco bar dinner Everything was top notch and was priced appropriately and I would absolutely recommend this venue for any event!

First time to stay at this hotel but definitely will not be our last We had an amazing time here the amenities were excellent Breakfast was delicious

The rooms were clean and spacious The staff was helpful and kind We were even fortunate enough to meet the owner of the hotel and he was very kind and respectable man Our children loved that there was board games available to them and a nice pool and grill area Overall was a wonderful experience

Austin Hanson

I had the opportunity to spend a work week here The staff we kind and courteous and welcomed me in every time we came inI particularly like the extended stay rooming

I did not have any dish ware with me and the fact they provided utensils and the sorts was greatThe bed and pillows were very comfy I slept like a rock every nightI sis not have any issues with this place at all Hopefully next time I’m back down, work will set me up in a room here again

Alison Jean

My husband and I stayed here for one night, and the experience was alright Check in took forever, as the computer system kept freezing The lady working the front desk was curt and almost rude, and I’m not sure if this is her normal state or if she was just having a really rough day due to the computer system issues

The room was nice enough- it was thoroughly vacuumed and wiped down, but definitely in need of deep cleaning There were stains on the chairs / couch, and mold in the grout of the shower (see picture of shower) The bed was comfortable and room was quietI gave 3 stars due to the uncomfortable check-in experience and the room needing to be updated / deep cleaned Otherwise, it was a good stay I don’t think I will be back though, since there are so many hotels available in the area

Very nice and cool outside in morning but this time of year faced west so very hot in afternoon Loved the breakfast and evening snacks along with free drinks Well worth the value Will definitely be our choice for next stays

Ashton Baltrip

We were in town for a basketball tournament this weekend and had an awesome stay The service of the staff was top notch I have stayed at several hotels that offer free breakfast but this hotel really did it well

The dining tables and serving areas were constantly being cleaned The food was also replenished regularly and if anything was missing, Ms Irene was there to communicate that it was on the way Ms Irene made the meal process so wonderful and I was excited to see and speak with her in the mornings She is a gem Also, the manager in training was very attentive and constantly walking around doing table touches and making sure the guests were okay Stay here!

Nice and clean Well taken care of property, good staff! Breakfast left a bit to be desired

seriously you guysupgrade your offerings Did you know there is an Automatic Pancake maker? Really, there is! Do it right, do the Buffet style, like the other top flight Hotels I would give it a 3 Star, but I’m feeling generousbesides, the staff was outstanding!

Kay Gop

We stayed for 4 nights and had a mixed experience Upon arrival the receptionist was fairly rude We came for a wedding, and the parents of the groom paid for hotels for the entire wedding party

However during check in we were told that although they had taken the credit card info of the parents, and that they had authorized payment, they still wanted the physical card as well as an “authorization form” In truth it felt like we were being stereotyped in a negative light, and that the receptionist may not have done this to an older white couple, but had no problem doing it to a young dark skinned woman and her partner We spoke with the groom’s parents about this later and they said that they’ve never had a problem like this before when pre-paying for their friends and family It actually upset them enough that they may cancel their Hyatt membership In addition, the first night we checked in at 2am, and thus had no reason to have the cleaning staff come clean the room the following morning However, the remaining 3 nights we did not put the sign on our door (which asks the cleaning staff to come back later) and yet our room was completely untouched and uncleaned Aside from all that the room itself was more than adequate I especially appreciated the strong air conditioner

Zac Johnson

André and Cecilia were quite wonderfully accommodating to my best friend and me She had a surgery and they saw us walking slowly across the lobby and offered a wheel chair promptly They gave us complimentary water as well

Unfortunately I was too tired to ever make it to breakfast The male housekeeper that I kept seeing on the 1st floor was always busy, everything smelled good when he was finished and he used wet floor signs responsibly The room was clean Great experience! Book them if you’re having elective plastic surgery in the area and need somewhere to heal

Great place to stay! Nice new rooms with the convenience of laundry and dishes in the room The staff are amazing! They were extremely friendly and helpful I would definitely stay here again if I came back to the area

I would recommend this to anyone staying in San Antonio The walls are thin but I think it’s to be expected anywhere you stay like this, and there also was very little noise anyway If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would No complaints and amazing stay!

Devin “The Dude”

These guys are awesome They have been very helpful and accomdating Jaz and the rest of her team have made our stay here extremely easy while we transition into our home

Jaz in particular went out of her way to secure required last minute accommodations for us which I greatly appreciate The entire staff appears to be service member friendly and always seems to have a great attitude Highly recommend them Thank you all once again

The resort is absolutely beautiful and very family friendly Staff members were very friendly and attentive I’m not giving the full 5 stars because the cleanliness was not what I’d expect from a 5 star resort

Our hotel room had pubic hairs, scalp hairs, dust, and urine around the base of the toilet and splotches of water and likely some sort of soap in the shower It had clearly not been well-cleaned, if at all In addition, the very back pool was quite dirty I can deal with leaves and some debris at an outdoor pool, but this had a lot of built-up leaves and debris in the deep end of the pool, like DAYS worth Staff were actively cleaning the lazy river, but no attention was given to the rear pool near the sand feature I’m not speaking of sand (there was that too, but that’s expected when there’s sand nearby), this debris was dark in color and very built-up It could have easily been scooped up and would have been much more appealing

Mark Anderson

This is a top notch place for a family getaway that we’ve enjoyed a number of timesLots to do with a fantastic water park, game rooms, excellent fitness center, daily planned activities for the young ones, and lots and lots of grounds to explore The staff is super friendly and attentive as well

It could definitely use more dining choices so be prepared to order in or make a quick local jaunt when the hotel is full This spring break week they were doing in-room dining for an only $5 flat service charge which was unexpected but awesome! We will be back again and again

Jazmin Juarez

This was one of the best hotel resorts I’ve visited in the states so far The staff were completely friendly and hard working Made me feel at home and the water park is fun for the whole family

Love the restaurants and variety and the rooms were beautiful and roomy The conference area was great and spacious and beautifully decorated I definitely recommend this place for business or a pleasure travel

I was very thankful for my stay here This is an honest review! The rooms were immaculate and ALL STAFF was GREAT! Check-in was effortless and breakfast was the best part of the day! I know that others do have different experiences sometimes, but my expectations were more than satisfied! Even though the hotel was extremely busy due to it being summertime, the noise level was low I will be returning back and this will be the only hotel I stay at while in San Antonio!

Lissette Teran

My family and I stayed for 2 nights and we enjoyed our stay The rooms are spacious and clean We loved the complimentary breakfast! It’s a reason why we chose to stay here so, please don’t get rid of it

The happy hour is also a great bonus! The pool is a bit small, but not a deal-breaker Parking was accessible, with plenty of parking space We will be staying here in the future again

Mark Budro

Stayed here for work related purposes Not bad overall, but have had a few issues They seem to be having card key issues

Lots of people I am here with constantly have to go to the desk because their card key will not work on any doors The room is spacious, but dated The phones are ancient, and the buttons on them don’t work well The phone goes to speaker on by itself sometimes Caulking is coming off the bathroom sink, and the sink is just a single free standing sink in a huge bathroom No place to put anything at all No counter space I have had trouble getting hot water twice since I have been here Reported and staff They were prompt to check it out, but stated water was hot There wasn’t even any steam It was lukewarm at best Parking is an issue for as many people as they have here, and our company has had vehicles broken into, so beware The shining star is the atrium, and the free breakfast The breakfast is excellent The Atrium is very nice Hotel was very clean Staff is attentive and friendly They have a limited lunch menu, items like you would find at a barbar food TV remote in living room stopped working AC in room works well, and curtains block out all light when drawn, for those working nights My company paid for probably 60 rooms, yet I still had to leave a deposit on my personal credit card in case there were damages Was not a fan of that This hotel is right by the airport, so there is some airport noise at times, but it has not been too bad

My wife and I visited your spa to see the facility and consider booking Upon arrival you shared that it was impossible to tour your facility because of privacy and respect for your guests Thus, we could not see the facility

The Loma de Vida spa staff up the road from you provided us with a full tour of their facility, and thus, won our business May I suggest, if you cannot walk through the locker rooms and facilities out of consideration for your guests, which is understandable, you create a film or slide show on an iPad and allow a visitor to at least see the facility that way

Laura B

Came in with a tweaked something or other in my back Booked same day Left feeling absolutely Fixed up and refreshed

Didn’t get to stay for the lower inside pool and jacuzzi but snapped a photo for y’all :)The Massage: IDA is her name and I low key want to start a go fund me just to make sure I can go back to her as many times as possible I cannot say enough about her- she treated me like an actual Massage Therapist She was professional and calm and legit had MAGIC HEALING HANDS Oof I miss them 😂 #thankyouidaThe Amenities: The showers + relaxation rooms and steam room were beautiful Best steam room in SA I’ve experienced The body lotion scent in the makeup area also made me want to give them all of my money Smallish and chic, those privacy curtains in relaxation rooms should set the standard for others Oh! And the patio! When it’s not oven like I shall return and pretend I’m in VeniceBonus: For parking you valet and get a lil stamp to comp it, so my crusty old mom van also got to live her best life today Winning The front desk lady was also sooo sweet and kindBottom line: wonderful place (I even like it better than the rooms- but would stay in one if I had a spa package) Bravo spa people!! And tell Ida “Laura the single mom crazy lady” made you go

This was our first time staying at this property It is absolutely stunning! Front desk service was super friendly and accommodating They had a beautiful happy hour with live music and snacks

Our room was clean and perfect in every way—exactly what we needed! Every single employee we encountered was friendly too We, unfortunately, did not stay for breakfast Maybe next time because we are DEFINITELY going back!

Great location and probably one of the better hotels we have stayed in as a family over the last few years Close enough to sea world and the other San Antonio attractions If your looking for something close to sea world you should consider this location while it’s a 15 to 20 drive its worth it especially after reading the reviews of the other locations

The hotel is newer which was mentioned upon checking is which was a breeze Room was clean and the hotel staff was great They had a decent selection for breakfast which included mode to order omelets which were good All in all if we visit San Antonio again in the future this will be where we are staying!

We needed a room quickly, as in a coupled of hours on Father’s Day due to an AC problem at home We were found a room that was ready immediately Chris greeted us as if we were family at the front desk

We were told that breakfast was available daily And that 5:30pm was kickback time with drink pass and dinner We never had to leave the property an asset due to the extreme heat The entire staff was helpful, friendly, caring, and made our stay very pleasant considering the reason for the stay We plan on joining the Drury Hotel program and using it in the future for family visitsThank you!

I was expecting a lot more after reading reviews…The first day we arrived I sanitized high traffic areas in our room (I have two littles who love to touch EVERYTHING) and looked everywhere Didn’t take long to doubt how good the cleaning was There was so much dust on the toilet seat and in between the toilet seat crack, there were small hairs in the sheets once I pulled them back, and before I knew it my daughters feet were black after walking on the carpet

My husband had bought some brand new white socks to wear with his outfit, and before we knew it, his socks were black at the bottom too BLACK I have never been in a hotel where we can’t even wear socks in rooms because they changed color like THAT It made me completely disgusted The lobby area is clean, but aside from that it’s a very very old hotel So the hallways are really dim, the elevator is squeaky and kind of beat up, and the rooms were also pretty out dated Furniture was rough, bed was hard, pillows sucked Didn’t try their breakfast because I couldn’t even imagine how clean they were if the hotel rooms looked like they didAside from that, staff was kind They weren’t the issueThey need to deep clean their bedroom carpets every once in a while & brighten the place up and fix all the cracksMoral of it all:don’t walk barefoot or with socks in the hotel room, clean and disinfect FOR YOURSELFPrice point – you get what you pay for, literallyDon’t recommend, and for sure won’t be back

Ginger

This place was clean, quiet, not a single bug in sight, wifi was fast, and the water stayed hot for my entire 20 minute shower Met and exceeded my expectations The staff was friendly as well

The pricing is decent, $220 for a couple of nights Breakfast was also decent, nothing exceptional but I do appreciate the grab and go options for those of us who are still a little hesitant about buffets here in this plague year, and the coffee was good Overall would recommend!

Avoid Stay somewhere else This was one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in for the prices they charge

The entire hotel is in poor repair The elevators don’t light up properly, they make loud clunking noises going up and down, and the insides have obviously been abused The room I was in was pitiful The carpets were dirty and stained My bed had body hair and stains caked onto the mattress I ended up sleeping every night on the couch because of how uncomfortable the bed was, not to mention concerned of sanitation I had an ant infestation on my bathroom/bedroom sink swarming around tooth brushes and medications bottles I’m pretty sure room service was USING my bathroom while I was gone As a male with short hair, I kept finding long tufts of dark curly hair on my bathroom floor and in my shower that weren’t there when I left in the mornings The front desk was very short with guests and started restricting their two free water bottles to one water bottle per day Overall it was just a bad experience I feel like I need to bleach myself after being in that room for a week

This is a really nice resort and a great place for families The rooms are nice and clean and you have plenty of room The facilities around the resort are excellent

The place is beautiful and you can tell they put a lot of work into building and maintaining the resort There are restaurants, five pools, and a nice area for taking a long nature hike The location is really good if you want to get out of the city It’s in the hill country and overlooks the city and is close and convenient to a couple of big theme parks The service is pretty good although we did have some questions with room service, as our order didn’t come as ordered and even when they brought up other parts of the order it was still missing I played golf here on another visit and the course is beautiful A must play in San Antonio La Cantera is a resort and you will pay resort fees and the rooms are expensive Having said that, you’re getting an amazing experience at a beautiful resort

We had a wonderful time here with our family last weekend The resort is beautiful and the amenities were to notch The staff was very helpful across the board

We loved the pool area with so many options from kids pool to adult only pool All of the restaurants were delicious, especially the mid day ice cream break! It’s hard to believe you are right in the middle of a major city while you are at La Cantera- it truly is a peaceful getaway Looking forward to our next stay!

The resort is beautiful to look at It definitely has all the things you would want at a resort except a comfortable bed!! Omg, I have never had worst sleep in a hotel

The beds and linen felt like something from a display room The mattress was hard with no cushion or support The linen is thin and the thread count is non existent The staff was very nice and prompt and provided all the other amenities we requested Our roomAnd other areas of the hotel was very clean I would just believe that the bedding would be more comfortable in such a beautiful place
