Ended up staying 2 nights in 2 different rooms so I had a slightly different, experience each night Service wasn’t bad, but not allowing ANY leniency on a late check out was rough Hallways and stairwells weren’t exactly clean, and around the outside of the building looked like everyone’s break area and hadn’t been cleaned

Some doors didn’t work with the key card so I had to walk around the buildingRoom 1 – ceiling texture in the bathroom was coming off, the shower curtain rod was almost falling so the curtain sagged to the middle Rest of the room was fineRoom 2 – possibly the oldest wall A/C unit that was missing pieces and didn’t work on High setting, so took a while to get the room comfortableIf you’re towing I recommend parking in back and if possible park facing ready to leave Check to make sure you have space before going behind as it’s a walled in turn to get back there If not park at the strip mall next door

Rachael Gaffney

Walked in our room at 1800 and it was rank with a super strong weed smell Since checkout was at 1100, it wasn’t the previous occupantsMarquee says great breakfast

I never count on a great breakfast since all I need is some toast and some fruit However, this was far from a great breakfast Bread was stale Fruit was eh Juice was warm Pastry was packaged muffinsThe noise at 0030 was ridiculous Pounding on doors Trucks backing up outside our window Car stereos blaring Kids calling out for parents in the hallwayOne thing I can say positively is that the room did seem fairly clean The place is rundown, but there were no critters skittering when the lights came on

The most important aspect of a hotel is a good night’s sleep and you won’t be getting one here Although the staff is lovely, there isn’t much they can do about the horrible beds And they truly are horrible

The air conditioner was also unreasonably loud and the carpeted floors were vaguely gritty and damp in a way that made you not want to walk around barefoot This falls far below what you should expect from a mid-range hotel at this price point Do yourself a favor Don’t stay here

Emma Roberts

Best customer service I have received in a long time Tina and Gus were amazingly friendly, helpful, and willing to help me with checking in, recommendations to eat, buy groceries, and suggestions for things to do in the area The room and property were very clean, and breakfast was good

I would definitely recommend this Hampton Inn

Brad Webb

I’m so glad the hot breakfast is back, post pandemic I also appreciate the USA today, the bedding, and the pillows These are the things that keep me coming back

Overall, this location isn’t quite as nice as most The front desk staff were very helpful, friendly, and efficient The pool is small with only four lounge chairs and four upright chairs, which is probably sufficient most of the time The worst part of my stay is that housekeeping staff were talking loudly enough, for an extended timeframe, to disrupt my sleep at 6:30 am There must be a way or a time to get the laundry done without waking up guests

My husband and I were recently guests at a wedding held at this venue The guest rooms were clean and spacious, with plenty of lighting, electrical outlets, and great water pressure The staff were all welcoming, and made sure that everyone had a pleasant experience

Everything we tasted during our stay was delicious, and I would highly recommend the ravioli The only downside is the drive to the venue We had a wonderful stay, and I hope that I have the pleasure of returning in the future

Susan Cook

I stayed here with my 12 year old granddaughter, it was her birthday tripEverything about Glen-Ella Springs Inn was magical, especially in the cool evenings when the tiny light illuminated the beautiful gardens The breakfasts were mouth watering and we both enjoyed every bite, sitting on the patio enjoying the gardens Anita was so accomodating to our every request or questions regarding the area in North Georgia

Would I stay again? Yes, in a heartbeat Can’t wait to visit again Yes, the restaurant serves the most delicious 5 five star dinners

Donna Casteel

This was our 3rd time staying here We really like the inn and the breakfast is good We have not been happy with our dinners the past 2 evenings

Last night it took a long time for us to get our dinners and my husband ordered the lamb chops to be cooked medium They were rare, and a couple of them were pretty much raw My dinner was just okay Tonight it took even longer to receive our meals and the crab cake appetizer was burned on the bottom, my salmon was so salty it was practically inedible, and my husband’s trout was fishy We complained to our server and the manager apologized and only charged us for the wine, which we appreciated I know there are issues in the food service industry with hiring and we try to be understanding I hope this was an isolated incident and it will be better in the future

We loved the food, was excellent quality Being able to have breakfast of such good taste be prepared for us and not having to run into town for breakfast was relaxing The owners were very friendly

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Lavonia GA this passed Tuesday, July 5, 2022 The room rate was too expensive for not being able to control the ac

The room was not cool even though temp reflected 65 Did not sleep well at all Contacted front desk They had a monolog to follow and only apologized for the temp and could not do anything further Was also informed AC controls motion activated In order for it to stay on you had to get up every 15 or so minutes to make it come on Will never stay in another Holiday Inn again Their thermostats do not keep the rooms a comfortable temperature Had been staying at other hotel chains throughout the week and did not have this issue elsewhere General Manager (Alyssa Romano) claims room was at 67 degrees for the night we were there and claimed the motion sensors are “turned off” at 5 pm What her system reflected and the how the temperature in the room felt were very different The room was very warm and uncomfortable Had trouble sleeping due to the uncomfortable temperature in the room If you want to sleep in a warm room during the summer this hotel is most definitely for you If you want to be cool and comfortable, I suggest you drive a little further up the road and stay elsewhere

Rachel Cope

Reiggin Hilderbrand

We arrived and there was no one at the front desk to get our room keys We waited 15 min The employee finally came out of the back area and looked and sounded like he had been asleep

Unacceptable and very frustrating Further, there were small bugs in the room and the AC did not cool below 73 degrees At 7 am, there was running and jumping coming from the room above us This was a very bad stay overall

Tom Cooper

If you a hot sleeper don’t book this property there are temperature controls and occupancy detectors on room thermostats, the HVAC unit would shut off every night when I was in the bed when there was no movement in the room I woke up hot and sweaty every night of my stay the Holliday inn express across the street has equal amenities and is $4000 per night cheaper and no controls on room thermostat you can keep your room temperature to your likings at that property

They have also have very helpful front desk staff This Hampton inn is not up to the chains standards by far my worst Hampton inn experience I always felt the Hilton chain offered a level of quality I could count on this property let me down and is making me have second thoughts about the brand

(Night shift) Employee was polite and helpful though i was put into a dirty room at first, but they quickly fixed the issue The “clean” room wasnt all that clean (see photos) and no employee was available that morning when i went to leave Door was locked so i just pushed keys under

For $71 after taxes id say not really a deal, but if you just need a decent place to lay your head and grab a hot shower then this will do

Keith Bates

Scary, unfriendly atmosphere with a very nasty bathroom, damaged stairs, dark breezeway We stayed there because it was a free night (with points) and the desk clerk was anything BUT friendly Drove around back because, despite not having many cars, this was the best they could give us

Stayed in room 201 Stairs were dangerous and damaged, tub had long hair on it and was not cleaned, and room temperature was about 85 degrees upon entering The breezeway was completely pitch dark until around 2 am when a light was turned on making me think it was sunrise We didn’t try the continental breakfast but packed up the next morning and left Tried to contact Choice Hotels, but couldn’t find an email for their customer service

Marian Shreve

Next to the motel office is a swimming pool with green algae floating on top of the waterI had room 203 on the second floor The steps leading up to the second floor balcony from the parking lot were old and cracked but probably safe

The railing that went with these outside steps needed to be wiped down because airbourne highway grit had settled on itI went up to my room and found a motel bed with two wall lamps on either side of it and a grimy arm chair The other chair in the room was a nice office chair There was a nice new TV fastened to the wall There was no place to hang clothes There was a 4″ in diameter hole in the middle of the bathroom door and in addition there was no way to lock the bathroom door because the door knob was missingThis motel does not provide blankets or even a comforter for the bed On top of the bed, there were just two sheets sewed together with some sort of thin filling between them To compensate, I brought up three blankets from my car that I had brought with me In addition I had a lot of trouble adjusting the Amana heating unit in my room; it would not run for a long time and then take off running for a long time and overheat the room I only slept two or three hours at mostThe continental breakfast was just cellophane wrapped danish and coffee The coffee was good though I went down to a local diner for breakfast

This was a really nice stay! The service was excellent The staff at the front and in the restaurant were really friendly and helpful Added touches like the welcome cookie in our room were what made it extra special

The location was great too It’s a short drive from a lot of trails, and the hotel is secluded into the forest by a bit, so the area is cool and quietOnly downside are the rooms, which were pretty bad The Moonshine room was really small, as was the bathroom, and you could hear people all around you snoring and moving all night Earplugs are required On top of this, the bed was very uncomfortable and noisey to move around in We were constantly concerned we would wake people up or break the bed itself from just moving around in our sleepOverall, this was a nice place but I wish the rooms were updated a bit Perhaps the room we chose was extra bad

Jean Raymer

Highly recommend! We stayed for a long weekend in the beginning of April It was still a bit chilly but perfect for spending time by the fire and enjoying drinks at the bar The restaurant is superb and the staff is very kind and attentive

We also enjoyed a half day boat rental with Bear Gap Outfitters just a short drive away The lake is beautiful and quiet

Brandi Davis

I booked a long weekend stay We arrived late the staff was very accommodating and pleasant The establishment has a very welcoming and cozy feel

We stayed in the legends room It was basic bed, chair bathroom The bed ended up being a full size bed It had a very uncomfortable mattress on it so we didn’t sleep all that great and we opened the window to cool off the room being that you cannot control the temp yourself The water takes a good five min to warm up so start your shower early so the water will be warm The room was clean though and there was coffee water a snacks available outside the room Breakfast was simple but very tasty!

I prepaid for a 3 night-non refundable stay here… Needless to say I did not even stay the first night Everything about was dingy, dirty and unacceptable

The sheets were stained The floors were gross The bathroom and shower had stains The lights in the room did not work correctly I understood that it was a budget type hotel but the dirtiness was just unacceptable I took the loss of my money as a lesson learned Do Not Stay Here

Jimmy Jazz

Super ghetto sadness here, spend the extra money somewhere else

We were met by one staff member who not only was weird and shut down, he couldn’t find the reservation and called another creeper I kept making crazy faces telling my wife to abort mission, unfortunately she didn’t get the memoWe finally got the key card and we’re told the room My wife asked me to check it out So weird smelling, supposedly a non smoking room with burn holes in the blankets, carpet ripped up at the door, the pool looked like it hadn’t been opened since the 80’s Altogether, one of the saddest sites I have ever seenWe just left Didn’t ask for a refund or anything We had to I knew I would get a skin condition if we stayed there Don’t do it people I promise you I don’t want free stuff, I genuinely want to warn the public, STAY AWAY

Kevin Wolfe

Wow, this place could use some love The pool is covered with a disintegrating tarp The algae growing on top of it could power 500 homes for a month

The stairwell closest to the room was closed off using cardboard and tape after a stair looked to have completely rusted through Maybe they spilled a vat of acid or something There are enough mud dobbers living in the outside corridors to carry away a small childI unintentionally booked a smoking room through corporate booking software that didn’t ask me my preference, and the lady at the front desk was insistent they had no non-smoking rooms I thought I’d check the room out to see how bad the smell might be It hit like a truck full of cigarette butts I went back to the front desk, told them I just couldn’t do the room, thinking I’d pay more to stay next door at the Hampton Only then did she find a non-smoking room as if by divine miracleThe room she transferred me to smells strongly of curry and has one working light I’ve been hanging out with my best friend Lampy for the last hour now The room is about 80 degrees and holding steady While I appreciate there was a non-smoking room and that I got a transfer, I feel lied to since the front desk told me they were all full up Lampys cool though Wants to be an actor somedayAnyway, I’m deeply unhappy here and suspicious of every single sound, smell, and sight And there are a lot of those
