I would not recommend this spa They have major staffing issues and we have had multiple issues trying to deal with resolving issues from 11/20 through now from a 12/26 visit

They did not provide the described services and they bungled the resolution as well Don’t waste your time or money There are better options in the DC Metro area Do not recommend The hotel stay was mostly fine

This is my go-to hotel when visiting DC/McLean, Virginia

It is beautiful, and the service is fantastic! This location has luckily been able to uphold high standards and customer service from check-in to dining, concierge services, you name it! I’ve had amazing experiences speaking to agents on the phone, who are actually on location, check-in services, the wonderful greeter who is always happy to direct me in the right direction, especially while under construction! I hope the Ritz maintains this level of enthusiasm as well as standard for cleanliness… I also look forward to having breakfast at Entyse, the bistro Mona has been serving us for years and we absolutely love catching up with the staff! I would definitely give them 10 stars if possible!

Super nice front desk staff! They were courteous, friendly, and very helpful The room was nice There were a couple of small things that need to be repaired

The location: the hotel is located in a business park environment So, the view is of roads or the parking lot There are shops about a half mile away They have an indoor pool and hot tub Breakfast is pretty basic fare There is a bar in the restaurant So, nothing fancy But, the staff is superb!

In terms of hospitality and comfort, this stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Rockville-Gaithersburg hotel was by far one of the most best and memorable experiences Joyce and April both helped our two families check in quickly and easily allowing us to make the most of our short stay Not only that, they also took the time to get to know us and found out that it was our 4 year olds birthday and made it extra special by giving him a really memorable present

It’s these little things that make us keep coming back to Hilton and if you’re ever looking for a comfortable, friendly stay, look no further!

The hotel is clean and well maintained but a little tired and could use some upgrading It’s located in a convenient and nice neighborhood The restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful

The hotel still is not cleaning daily which is fine but I called 4 times and visited the front desk in person asking to get the in-room coffee replenished including waiting up late last night for someone that would be “right up” I’m typing this in need of coffee desperately I’m a Hilton Diamond member and besides a 25 cent bottle of water at checkin there has been no acknowledgment It’s just about impossible to get responses If you just need a room and don’t care about indifferent “service” then it’s fine to stay here Don’t forget to bring your own Kuerig coffee pods if you are staying more than one night Tried to check out on the app but that wasn’t working so went to the front desk and the girl at front desk was busy on a FaceTime call with her friend and couldn’t be bothered to talk and said put the key in the jar Indifferent “service” by the hotel staff from beginning to the end

My low score for this particular visit is due in part to the very rude waiter at the hotel restaurant I had picked up an order from doordash which consisted of a single apple pie, an erroneous order, and was sharing with my flight crew co-workers the mess up They had just finished eating dinner at the hotel restaurant and were seated in the lobby dining area

After my colleague expressed she didn’t truly enjoy her pureed squash with tofu and salad, I decided to share the one apple pie that I received with her and my other co-worker The waiter approached me from behind pretty indignant that I couldn’t bring food from the outside into the restaurant It was pretty aggressive for no reason at all Then my room was cold for hours after turning the heat up and the engineer had to come fix it He entered my room while I was in the lobby and when I came in he was pretty forceful about me coming back into the room using the key in my hand because he needed to be sure the room was mine (he had the door propped open with the deadbolt) My work photo ID was on the desk and the key in my hand was still in the case which displayed the room number I’ve stayed at this hotel at least 45 to 50 times in the last 2 years and this was the most unpleasant visit They need to step up their customer service and remember their position when the pandemic hit and they were reliant upon foreigners and flight crews to occupy their hotel at 60% in order to keep their doors open It’s not hard to be nice I hope for a better experience in the future

The two things that are absolutely required for you to be a hotel are beds and showers My shower was broken Ridiculous!UPDATE: In reply to the response below from Joel Fuller, I did contact the front desk but when I had 30 minutes to get myself and my son showered and out the door there was nothing they could do

How did the staff clean my shower adequately? Wouldn’t they notice the problem if they were cleaning the shower correctly, not just running some water through it? We both know the answer, they didn’t clean I have also have photos of the trash that was left shoved in between the furniture from the previous occupants So again, we know how well they cleanedI hope that when people read this, and your patronizing reply, they realize that you don’t really care “Next time call the front desk” is a pretty weak response to completely dropping the ball on having a working shower

Have always loved this hotel, BUT I booked a room for June and cancelled more than a month before arrival date (it was a cancelable reservation) I received confirmation email for canceling from Marriott I spoke with Sunny Singh on Saturday and forwarded him email

He confirmed he received it and promised it would be fixed that day and someone would respond The charge has not been reversed and there has been no further communication

Convenient location to DC The hotel is clean and well maintained Beds were comfortable

Waitstaff were friendly and accommodating The food was surprisingly goodThe elevators were confusing as you needed to take 3 elevators to get from parking garage to your room There is no good way to use a dolly to get from parking garage to your room due to steps you had to take to get to elevator There was no coffee maker or refrigerator in the room We had reserved a room on high floor away from elevator, but we got room on lowest floor near elevator

This was my first stay at a Le Méridien property It definitely was not a disappointment as the property felt more luxurious than your typical premium category under the Marriott portfolio As ambassador, I used a suite night award for an upgrade to their Executive King, Studio Suite, 1 King, Sofa bed, City view room

I was particularly impressed with the comfortable beds and the overall bedding itself The property accommodated me by granting me my Your24 request, exclusive to Ambassador Elite members The front desk check-in experience was pleasant This was only a one night stay and I did not eat on the property so I cannot attest to the restaurant and bar on site, although I recall it being filled with people so it must’ve been good If you park a vehicle, you will have to pay at the garage, which is not owned by the hotel, but it isn’t terribly expensive like other places especially ones in DC itself Outside of airplane noise from nearby DCA, the building was very quiet I would stay again

The best feature of Le Méridien Arlington is their extremely professional, helpful and friendly staff The hotel lobby and hallways are nicely decorated and have some charm However, once you get to your room, the suites are very small compared to other hotels nearby

The bathroom is particularly small, with very little space between the small sink and the toilet, and from the toilet to the shower The decor is likely decades old and it shows I requested an allergen free room, and indeed the room did not trigger my allergies but I had my doubts considering that the carpet had several noticeable cigarette burns – which only reinforced my impression that the room hasn’t been renovated in decades I believe most hotels banned smoking more than ten years ago The toiletries were nice but not nice enough to offset the occasional discharge noise coming from the bathroom during the night The AC was extremely noisy and blew air directly onto the bed, which is not ideal in my opinion, and I have a suspicion that the thermostat wasn’t accurate since the room felt considerably colder than what the thermostat indicated All in all, I would not recommend this hotel, despite the great service In fact, if I have a choice, I do not intend to stay at Le Méridien Arlington again

Decent hotel The lobby is really flashy, unfortunately the rooms are quite dated, and mine had a weird smell The shower had some mildew on the floor, and of course the room had an old carpet on the floor as most hotels do

At least the rooms were bigThe on site restaurant had a decent selection of food and beverages, I had the salmon for dinner and it was pretty good I also had breakfast in the restaurant and they did not have the buffet set up, I ordered parfait with granola and fruit and it was good! Main gripe was that they charged for coffee and juice, and quite a lot, so the whole ticket got quite expensive for a really simple breakfast The executive lounge was closed too which was a bit if a bummerOverall it was a decent stay, definitely stayed in worse hotels

Our stay at the hotel was extremely disappointing On the first night, there was continuous noise until 1am Part of that noise was the hotel staff loudly opening and closing doors up and down our hallway and running a vacuum cleaner which they also carelessly slammed into the door/wall outside our room

When we asked the staff member with vacuum to stop, he refused Part of the noise was rowdy activity in the hallway, which the staff did nothing about despite multiple requests Even later in the week, young people were running around and yelling in the hallways because there is no atmosphere of civility or control by the staff It was very disruptiveOur stay was also disappointing because basic amenities were broken, unavailable, or held at cost For example, the convenient location next to the metro was spoiled because upon return, the door back into the hotel was locked and the card key access was not operational We asked to use a microwave and were told that it would be a $10 extra charge – really? At the price we were spending – which did not even include any room cleaning – it is insulting to me that you’d try to milk even more money out of us for something that could have been set up and finished in 5 minutesConsidering the hotel itself was responsible for these disappointing factors in our stay, I regret paying for the room and don’t think it will be a good idea to return, even though I plan to return to Rockville many times in the future

This is a conference hotel but it’s also perfect for business travelers Things I loved: super fast elevator, simple interior parking, Starbucks, great bartender and kind front desk people, good work space in the room (huge desk chair), fabulous pillows, every store you need within walking distance, close to DC, AND across the street from a metro stop and regular sized grocery store (Safeway!) My FAVORITE thing? It was So

Quiet!!! Slept great!

As a marriott platinum member, I was treated no better than other customers or even worse Was there ona business trip and the room charges supposed to be charged to the company credit card instead of mine However, they charged everything to my card although the company already authorized for all the charges to be put on their card

When I reached out to them they were not helpful or responsible Customer specialist Juliana James did not respond to my email after several attempts Definitely did not expect this kind of service and this is very disappointing for a Marriott brand

Nice place, excellent location with lots to do – you can easily walk to Dave & Busters arcade, go see a movie, or visit the bookstore and Target Sheets and room smelled very clean! We left a whole bag of kid’s stuff that included an AC adapter to a Nintendo

super valuable to a 7 year old and really nobody elsethe amazing maid promptly returned everything to the front desk and we were able to retrieve a few hours later Thank you

I’ve stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Gaithersburg a few times during the pandemic It is located in the heart of Washingtonian Rio and is a short walk to the movie theater, restaurants, and shops They have a small parking lot to the side of the hotel for guest registration and unloading

Additional parking is available in the retail parking garages The check-in and check-out process was smooth When I checked in, they told me about their weeknight happy hour from 5-10pm with discount on beer and wine and handed me a small flyer with guest information about their bistro, fitness center, housekeeping, and parking If theyoffered complimentary coffee and tea throughout the day and night to guests and two complimentary water bottles to their Elite rewards members, I’d give them 5 starsThe bistro located on the 2nd floor serves basic Starbucks drinks, breakfast, and dinner For breakfast, they have the following items: Two Egg Omelet, Eggs Your Way, Bistro Breakfast Sandwich, Balanced Breakfast Sandwich, Breakfast Burrito, and Classic Oatmeal For dinner, they may have the following items: Avocado Lemon Yogurt Dip, Caesar Salad, Margherita Flatbread, Loaded Tot – Chos, and Grilled Chicken & Bacon QuesadillaDuring my stay, I had breakfast at their bistro I had a Two Egg Omelet made with egg whites, gruyere, and caramelized onions It was served with crispy herb potatoes and ketchup and dressed with lemon EVOO It was deliciousMy room (including the bathroom) was clean, spacious, and great view of the Rio lakefront In terms of toiletries, they provided makeup wipe, facial bar, body wash, shampoo and conditioner I liked how the showers were hot The bed and sofa bed were super comfy My only complaint was the walls aren’t very insulated – you can hear conversations, opening and closing of doors, nature, and motor vehicles

Excellent experience all round! We attended a party at the hotel in the evening and brunch the next morning The food was delicious, the servers very considerate and helpful, the physical space fine, it was lovelyOur hotel rooms were updated and very attractive, the bathroom particularly well done

Beds comfortable, tv fine, very clean and fresh No problems with noise or anything else Of special note- my allery free room had no carpet and for the first hotel stay ever I didn’t feel sick Hallelujah!!Front desk very accommodating and offered to give us a late checkout which was great!Parking free and easy, all staff very pleasant, the price discounted for party members, the entire experience was perfect! Thank you Marriott- a home run!

This was a horrible 6 days I am still wondering how on earth they are affiliated with the Marriott Some of the front desk staff are extremely rude and considering we are the customers, it leaves much to wonder

They attempted to charge my card over $700 for a cancelled reservation which caused my bank to suspect fraud and closed the card I had to call and open a complaint to have it resolved The room was filthy and I took pictures almost as if it wasn’t cleaned for weeks The AC didn’t work and I had to ask for maintenance The air filter clearly needed to be changed because of all the dust that came from itThe vent in the bathroom was also dusty and make note this is with daily housekeeping So there website clearly lied about how they clean the rooms I did enjoy the M Club and the restaurant though limited in menu wasn’t too bad I would NEVER recommend this hotel The CEO needs to do a surprise visit to see the conditions of the rooms and how the staff worksAt all cost avoid this hotel, you pay so much money for lackadaisical service, bad attitudes, dirty rooms etc Marriott needs to clearly take a close look at this hotel

Deceptive communication about discounted room rates Unclean, smelly roomWe visited for a family graduation and were offered a group rate, arranged by the event planner

There was no limit communicated on the number of days we could receive the discounted rate The event dates published by Marriott on the special booking link offered a 5 day date range When we checked out we were charge full price for 2 of our 4 nights The hotel has been unwilling to refund the extra room charge, falsely stating after the fact that there was a 2-day limit, although this limit was not communicated at any time during our booking process and not imposed on other guests in our family and we have provided proof of this The hotel employees have since ignored our emails, no reply It seems like there has been a change of staff and they are unable/unwilling to reply or correct this matterThe first room we were checked into was filthy- dirt and hair on every surface, brown sticky spots all over the bathroom walls and ceiling as if a previous guest exploded a can of soda and the bathroom was not cleaned The room was warm and smelled bad, like plastic and fish The windows do not open and the air conditioner was not working properly so it was not possible to air out the room We asked to be moved to another room, which was clean, but this was not a great experience overallThe property is not in a bustling downtown neighborhood, its on an expressway, so I’m not sure why they charge $20 a night for parking

My mom and I traveled from Maine to a loved one’s celebration of life memorial service It was a long drive, so when we got into our room at 9pm it was nice to collapse onto the comfortable beds The pool and hot tub were nice and relaxing, but they should be open until 10pm

All the staff I interacted with were amazing, with the exception of the restaurant staff One woman in particular was quite rude first thing in the morning when I went downstairs to get our breakfast The hair dryer worked terrific as did the iron and ironing boardThere are only a few complaints or suggestions I have: The TV is a great size, but it would be nice if it could be more in the middle of the room Perhaps on a swivel I think the rooms should be stocked with more cream and sugar for the coffee It also would’ve been nice to have a microwave in the room too Our inside shower curtain was only hanging on by a few of the ringsOverall, this place is incredible and I’d love to stay again and definitely will given the chance

Boris Nemirov

I was very pleasantly surprised by Hyatt Regency Reston The room was adequate and reasonably clean (though a little small) The bed was comfortable though a bit too firm for my liking

However, what really set this place apart from most hotels was the service I was truly shocked at how good it was Any call to the front desk was always answered and everyone I spoke with was very pleasant and accommodating Any request made was met within 15-20 min with no follow-ups required! My main gripe was the elevators, which often took a very long time to arrive and were frequently very full (but this is not unusual when there is an event taking place) Location is also great with many restaurants and stores within walking distance

Andrea Brewer

I have to admit I expected a little more Several times the room keys wouldn’t open the hotel door I had to make several trips to the front desk

It was very loud on a Saturday night with children running and screaming in the hall way The pool and hot tub were nice but definitely look swankier in the hotel photos The bed and pillows were AMAZING! Expensive pillows (I checked, Pacific Coast down), nice thick towels and the room was very clean I wouldn’t pay the advertised rate though Definitely not worth $270 a night Parking is an additional $16 per night Also, no breakfast but lots of restaurants within walking distance Try Ted’s Bulletin Great food and superb service 👌

the inside was redone recently and is very nice The outside is a bit of a deterrent If I was driving by I would not go in

But once in the door the lobby, room, and amenities are really nice The service at the Coffee Bar was perfect The woman that served us was Awesome and not to mention we left at 11pm and returned at 8am and she was back!!!! What dedication

Brian L

I feel for the most part that Courtyard in itself just kind of rides off the Marriott name and this one is no exceptionPRO’s – The hotel main floor is very clean, has ample lounge spots and overall very inviting The inside fireplace is very nice and welcoming

The little store off from the front desk is super convenient (also ridiculously expensive) The rooms have been updated(ish) with comfortable beds, new sofas, carpet yet out of place looking furniture with an early 90s persona Room service was great and they replenish with more than enough towelsCONS – The Bistro in the morning is the worst Bistro of all the Marriotts I’ve been to in the last ten years and I’ve been to ALOT The Bistro “opens” at 6:30a through the week and my rewards include free breakfast everyday Would’ve been awesome if someone was actually there at 6:30 and ready to serve Nope 6:40? Nope! Half the time closer to 7am and the poor guy from the front desk has to come over there and do the Bistro employees job BECAUSE THEY DONT SHOW UP ON TIME, CONSISTENTLY!! The food is also way overpriced for what you get, I mean…over $4 for a small bottle of water? Is this hotel THAT broke? Front desk guy needs a raise as he was doing everyone’s job most mornings, by himself The floor hallways are very long and creepy as in new carpet yet odd looking wood doors out of the 80s The keyless cards don’t work half of the time The toilet takes five flushes just to get a piece of toilet paper to actually go down Water pressure is horrible and takes ten minutes to try and get all the soap off you in the shower Undersized room TVs and only two USB ports in the whole room and those two are on top of the alarm clock The outside of the hotel is cringe and unwelcoming The grounds need major focus and look overall unkempt Killed multiple spiders in the room throughout my stay The pillows are way to flat and unsupportive Took all five of them together just to make one good one that kept my neck straight One washer and one dryer for the entire hotel that look like the first whirlpools ever invented and did not wash nor dry good at all Stairwell carpets are stained and you aren’t sure if you’re climbing stairs in a state prison or a hospitalOverall, the lobby felt more like a Marriott while everything else felt like a nice Motel 6 If you’re passing through for the night and traveling alone than this will suffice but don’t expect much because the hotel just doesn’t offer much and the staff is just kinda “there” I will most definitely not be staying with this hotel again and will not book it for any of my employees going forward

This place is an unbelievably good deal The rooms are HUGE (be sure to ask for a tower room) It’s a bit of a drive from DC, but we plan on staying here any time we come back

This hotel offers an experience you typically don’t get unless you’re spending an additional $100-200 per night Be sure to walk to the town square in Rockville where you’ll find families with kids playing in the water park when the weather is warm Great hotel for families

The staff is very unfriendly we said hello and attempted to be friendly after making 8 hour trip with a baby But, They did not say hello or welcomed to the hotel

“keys, wifi, elevator to the left” is all they said we asked for a change to do laundry, and the staff refused There was no coffee in the morning, and 2 staff were talking to each other while guests were waiting for coffee Location and building are fine, but service is terrible

OK but quite expensive for the quality Rooms are clean and large, but not a lot to write home about No bath, only basic cable

They will charge you $20 for parking, which seems scammy They tell you they’ll validate parking but don’t mention they’ll charge you for it For a hotel on the outskirts of beltway suburbia, you’d think they would include that with the room I didn’t take a boat in Also they will send you spam emails and texts to sign up for their club

This is a nice hotel worth staying in again Though the room was a cramped, dark-walled rectangular, with a toilet too low and close to the shower, it had a couple nice features The desk was well placed and the couch was comfortable

The room had a defined living room and bedroom, with the rooms well separated with a half-wall and large TV mounted to it that easily turned to face the living room or the bedroom The fitness room looked good, but I did not see the pool The hotel staff was fantastic from front desk to housekeeping The food was just OK We had a little indigestion from their evening buffet, which may have been due to eating too much I would not dine at the hotel in the future The court yard was great, and I loved the flowering crape myrtle tree there

Clean, convenient, and well managed These days, it’s hard to predict what you’ll get from a hotel that was traditionally great pre- pandemic The service was friendly, rooms were reasonably clean, and we were treated to a view of the planes from Dulles taking off and landing from our room

Queen rooms had an ample seating area which was an unexpected surprise We ate dinner and breakfast there – it was at a traditional business hotel price point and with a lack of restaurants in walking distance, performed well When taking off for an early flight from Dulles, I would definitely stay here again

The rooms were very nice and organized I was staying for a school trip and was only in the room for 2 nights but it was great, the only thing that made me question the hospitality was the front desk I had kindly asked for extra towels because we only had one and the lady just gave me attitude

My roommates even said it was kinda hostile The breakfast was very good though, the pancakes were my favorite But it was a great stay and I would totally recommend it!

We stayed with a group and had an absolutely incredible experience! From the amazing scent in the hotel right as you walk in to the service throughout our stay, everything was simply top notch We interacted with a tall lady working for the housekeeping department and she virtually ran to complete our request We were glad to catch up with her and the housekeeping manager later so we could thank them properly for making our stay just wonderful!

The room was very clean, but the desk had a broken drawer and they used a small strip of packing tape to try and hold the drawer up The stand shower is not sealed so water runs all over the bathroom floorThe hotel bar was nice and the bartender was super friendly and sweet

She was a great conversationalist with a cheery personality

Clean and nice location Staff was friendly Managerial staff was confrontational with hockey players and parents

Have been to many hotels much friendlier to hockey teams If we were there and not associated with a team, would be a great place to stay Beautiful facility, room was very clean If you’re going with a team, suggest maybe find an alternate hotel

Staff was phenomenal This includes the front desk, bar and restaurant staff All were top notch, friendly, cheerful and helpful

Room was amazing Super comfortable, the desk was great and the television was above top great with the additional appsThe entire property (inside and out) was kept very cleanDropped a star for the price of bar items, seemed a bit expensive Even with the $15/day credit, everything in the restaurant is expensive The food was goodNot any fault of the hotel, but there are limited eateries within walking distance

Last minute booking for memorial weekend, decent prices Room was fantastic, staff was helpful too! We got an upgrade to the 9th floor for 20$ extra per day and I’m so glad that we took it The bed was comfortable, the shower was so good, definitely felt the luxury there!Additionally, coffee downstairs was excellent and the bar was happening

There was a happy hour between 5-6 PM when we spent a lot of time in the lobby chit chatting and sipping 5$🍻
