The Villas were very pleasant and comfortable We had 12 of us and booked 117 and 118, the doors and steps ran right up to each-other so it was almost like having one big Villa, even though they obviously weren’t connected Most of our golf trips we try to get one big place but this definitely worked out better for the people that went to sleep earlier could stay in one

The yard itself could of been a little more kept up as I was somewhat surprised it wasn’t mowed for the weekend Granted it’s been a late spring The bugs were also bad at times so bring spray or a something to keep on the deck to avoid the bugs Highly recommend though!

Try not to listen too much to the lesser reviews, The Villas are an amazing place to stay Sure they’re on the pricy side, but they are spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet The views are incredible

The kitchens have most everything you need to save money and make meals ‘at home’ 112 is one of our favorites with a real fire place, foosball table, card table, plenty of games One of the best parts, literally walking across the street to hit the Nordic ski trails The TVs aren’t that great, but if that’s what you’re doing, you’re missing out Thanks for a great stay Already looking forward to next year!

I booked the Villas because we wanted more of a cabin feel and we were not disappointed!! The check in process was easy and convenient and our Villa (104) was just what we were looking for It was like walking into a cozy up north home with a touch of country living The place has comfy beds, couches and two bathrooms stocked with shampoo and even some little packets if laundry detergent for the little washer and dryer

Fluffy extra towels, blankets, pillows and more The deck could use a painting but who cares when you are literally on a sandy beach with a dock! Awesome location! Kitchen is filled with everything you need I’d recommend some nice wine glasses but other than that it had everything! We will be back year after year!!

This place consistently underwhelms 3 stays, this was the best, but not great and poor value They survive because of lack of competition

I’ve never encountered a staff person who was warm or charming Once we got to a supervisor, they were helpful and solved an easy problem Didn’t need AC this stay, so unsure if it’s working Eat in town if you can

Rob Scott

Our reserved room wasn’t ready when we arrived They wanted to put us in a handicap room When we objected they did give us a slightly better room for the same rate

Feel like they should have done that right from the start The adventure center is only open on Friday and Saturday As a result amenities like bicycles were not available to us since our stay was Monday through Friday This information should have been communicated to us at time of reservation

Some really good things just stay out of sight for no good reason Visitors at the Lodge know it’s not an exaggeration to say this place is a fine facility with a giant serving of Minnesota Friendly I am making the Lodge a regular stop for food and beverage from now on

Beware though, at times the bar is not a seven day per week operation Call to check the open hours

Stayed at the Super 8 in Eveleth, July 22, and July 23, 2022 We were back for a class reunion in Hoyt Lakes The service at the hotel was as excellent as it had been on our previous stay in 2020

The hotel had the hot breakfast this time Eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles, cereal, yogurt, juice and fruit and lots more Kudos to the lady who kept the breakfast area stocked Our room was clean The housekeeping staff was cheerful and took care of our requests The desk staff was professional and pleasant and were able to answer any questions we had The fresh baked cookies and coffee at the main desk were always available and a nice treat Thank you and your staff We will definitely try to stay here again when back in the areaKen and Sherry Buatala

The rooms are large and comfortable The have mini-fridges, microwave, and a Kerig Also, the owners could not be nicer

We are on a very long bike trip and use motels as our down day and day to get some work done They not only let us check in early, they cleaned our room first and were very understanding of our situation Please support this local business and let them know how much we all appreciate that they still take a personal approach to their business

I have stayed here many times over the years This last year nothing seemed up to par The staff was polite, but distant like they just wanted to be elsewhere

The controls for both the sauna and spa have been broken since at least Dec The room was always clean, but lacking the extra blankets I used to expect Two years ago, this place was a 5 every trip Sad to say I’ll be looking elsewhere from now on when I am in the area

mark alterman

First off it is only 1 of 2 hotels in the area and they know this so they overcharge considerably Super 8 was booked up so i had no choice Guest Laundry doesn’t work and management and employees know about it but don’tlet the guests know, so very decietful

toilets just overflow at randomly and plumbing has issues, once again they know about it but won’t fix it mattress was awful staff acts clueless constantly breakfast sucks

Bonnie Swanson

The staff at this hotel was super friendly and professional Liz at the front desk, and Rick and everyone else we had interactions with seemed like they actually liked their jobs They were so kind to our boys

The pool was warm, they had a nice hot tub and sauna Small bar and frozen pizzas Standard hotel breakfastWe would definitely stay again!!

The rooms are very clean The owner was very polite and personable The office was kept open later than the posted hours so I could check in

The location right next to a lake gave a nice view first thing in the morning It’s not right on a highway, so noise was not an issue I would definitely stay again if ever in the area I don’t want to knock off any stars for it, but just as an fyi, there are no irons in the rooms

Katie Chandler

I would never ever recommend staying here The dishonesty of the owner is astounding While I do not blame them for the fact that the booking agency failed to put in the notes that we were traveling with my full needs disabled adult daughter and would need two beds in a downstairs room, I do fully find the response we received from them afterwards completely dishonest and just plain unethical

The owner showed me the room, which was downstairs with one full bed I explained there were three of us and my adult daughter was in a wheelchair and we had said all of this when we made the reservation He offered to remove the table and put a camping cot or a twin size air mattress that they owned in the room I said that would not work At 5:19 pm as I was calling other motels while Ron called the booking agency, the owner of Lakeshore Lakeshor Motor Inn said he would not charge us for the room but did ask that we request the booking agency cancel as quickly as possible I told him we were on the phone trying to reach an actual live person and would do so as soon as we were able to speak to a person It actually took almost four hours of calling and pushing options to get customer service on phone We were told we would be reimbursed The owner of Lakeshor Motor Inn told the booking agency that since he did not receive a cancellation from them by 5:30 pm he had to charge us both nights of our reservation, even tho at 5:19 pm he knew we were attempting to reach them on the phone and even stood there and told both of us he would not charge us In spite of several attempts to call and speak with him or receive a return phone call, he has ignored us I sincerely hope that his dishonest ethics and treatment of what would have been a future return customer and high recommendations cause him to experience karma as he has no compassion whatsoever of a tired parent traveling with a full needs disabled person who needed rest and not some air mattress on a floor

I visited the Hockey hall of fame and mining museum on my honeymoon as an attempt to do everything I wanted and nothing my wife wanted to do I forgot to book a hotel and the only place available was the Pine View motel While I was a little skeptical by some of the mixed reviews, this is by and large the best stay I’ve had at any hotel or motel

The staff was friendly and caring and the sauna in the basement was excellent After checking in to our room we were breathtaken by the beautiful rugs, wildly practical chained lamps, and very powerful bathroom fans Not to mention the beds were exceptionally and bouncy enough for me to have intensely passionate sex with my wife, Darlene 5/5 stars, definitely will be coming back

Kate Harker

We stayed here for a week We were working overnights so we were very tired when we got back in the mornings However, the cleaning staff proceeded to harass us multiple times about things that were none of their business

One cleaning lady in particular They also charged us for an extra person that was not there, and they couldn’t prove any one was there either, and then they also changed the agreed upon weekly rate when I went to check out This place isn’t worth the headache The rooms are small and jail cell like The staff leans towards rude, and rather unhelpful
