This place is absolutely stunning My boyfriend of 9 years proposed to me in one of their king suites They did a great job with making this special

After he popped the question they came up with champagne on Ice Chocolate covered strawberries and a nice fruit platter 😋 It’s beyond clean Restaurant is great for dinner Their breakfast was amazing Highly recommend

Love this location The staff is always professional The rooms are always cleaned thoroughly

The pool is a awesome size (3ft to 5ft) and plenty of room to swim w/o feeling crowded if it was full It is open from 6am to 10pm) Same time of gym which over looks the pool Plenty of parking Conference rooms (4 I believe) are great sizes Bar and dining also available ( I did not use but looks like a good adult hangout area) But the food is AMAZING Best thing I suggest is to become a Hilton Honors member for small perks also Can’t wait to go back

Ashley O’Donnell

I have stayed here three times All three times were great experiences I loved the food, the service was great, my room was clean

It was conveniently located to restaurants, coffee shops, stores, and to where I was working down in Bristol The pool was warm, clean and open late enough for me to use after work The gym is open 24/7 Breakfast was amazing, there were so many options in the buffet I would go back again

Our stay at the Inn was absolutely wonderful! We stayed at the Inn Friday and Saturday for our wedding! The rehearsal dinner was held here on Thursday evening and the dinner service was exceptional!! Mason was amazing to work with from beginning to end! He handled every detail with ease and letting us enjoy our time! The Inn has such historical charm our family and friends loved there stay as well

Anthony Tarasoff

I give it a five star because it was an excellent hotel, my only complaint that I have was that when I tried to get another night they were going to not only charge me full price(when I found it cheaper), but also charge me another $50 for the pet deposit and $50 for incidentals when I already had that on the first nightThe bartenders from the hotel tavern were excellentWill definitely still put this hotel in as a return hotel for me and my family

Sierra Unsworth

We chose the Inn at Middletown to use as the preferred hotel for our wedding, including a room block of 35+ rooms and suites (which is pretty substantial in a hotel that has under 100 rooms) and renting out the hotel bar for a wedding after party The hotel itself is very nice, comfortable, and clean and the front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating from check in to check out Can’t say enough good things about them! The management/sales team and restaurant/bar staff were an entirely different story

They were extremely disorganized, unresponsive, and the customer service was far less than stellar When I booked the after party, I was informed that the final payment was due at least 1 week in advance and they would not remind me, so I had to keep track of that date strictly (which was fine) About 3-4 weeks in advance I started checking in with the hotel, only to get passed around to 3+ different contacts at the hotel, all of which had no idea about my booking and seemed to think it was someone else’s responsibility I finally spoke with someone who seemed like they knew what they were doing, and they assured me they would reach out the week of for final payment That never happened The week of, I had to reach out again to ensure I would not be charged a late fee, and was once more passed around between staff members, all assuming it wasn’t their job to deal with This level of unprofessionalism was all baffling to me, especially since the hotel charges a 22% “service fee” for event bookings, which is separate from gratuity 22% for this service???The night of the after party, the bar staff was straight up rude to my guests and to my parents, who were footing the bill I was extremely unimpressed and would not recommend wasting any of your money on hosting events at this site We expected more when we were spending thousands of dollars on just a couple hours of relaxed drinks & pizza

The staff at this location goes above and beyond I had a brief stopover, arriving late and leaving early, but they could not have been nicer The woman making our coffee in the morning was friendly and warm

The people checking us in and out were polite and respectful And when I discovered a lost item after getting home, the staff located it and ensured it was returned to me It was tiny and they took the time to search the room I will definitely stay here again on my trips up and down 91 The location is clean and comfortable and extremely convenient to the highway Grateful to have discovered this nice place to stay

Deborah Shane

I normally love Marriott products, but this place was not very nice The parking is around the sides so when you arrive (very tired and late) you have to walk quite a long way to get to the front door When I got lost and was in one building, it smelled like dirty socks

I finally made it to my correct room in the correct building, and everything was fine until about midnight when the shower started dripping on the metal grate and making pinging noises I was not about to change my room at that point The dripping went on for about a minute every two hours So annoying! The guy at the front desk was super nice about it when I told him as I checked out

Craig Knowles

Got to the hotel and front desk was very helpful with them double checking our room for feathers which went well and getting extra towels to the room Got into the room after dinner neither of the outlets worked in the bathroom for hairdryers etc Went to turn on the television and the cable boxed was unplugged so had yo move the dresser to plug that in

The room is a good size for 4 people and has a mini fridge microwave The toilet was a little loud and no fan in the bathroom

A truly wonderful place to stay The rooms and hotel are decorated in a way that excites and stimulates imagination of history and elegance The lobby is a peaceful and intriguing place to study or hangout

With people congregating throughout the day around the Pointdexter coffee shop and the many nooks and rooms to lounge in, It creates a really nice vibe The staff was more than a pleasure to engage with and the convenient and cozy Old Spielberg bar on the basement level is a perfect after dinner stop to grab a few drinks before returning to your comfortable and clean room The location is perfect, in the heart of the city with everything you would like just minutes away either by foot or car The rooms are complete with responsive thermostat temperature control and an easy to use television system with ample channels The gorgeous, tastefully renovated and clean bathrooms are complete with pleasant toiletries and good water pressure I will be visiting again soon!

James McNamara

The hotel is good, but for the price it falls way short of the experience you would expect The front desk is operated by very young people who don’t appear to be trained in the service or hotel industry They’re not particularly knowledgeable of the area

The hotel itself has no parking; beware of the parking garage the front desk recommends because it’s not a 24 garage I couldn’t access my car for an early morning flightThe rooms are nice and well kept

Patty White

We loved this nostalgic hotel “the old Duncan Hotel” The Graduate is beautiful inside and took us back in time with its elegant ambiance You expect to see the bell hop waiting at the elevator to take your luggage

We stayed on the second floor and our room was so quiet and the bed was very comfortable Check-in desk staff is very nice Only problem we experienced was parking in the garage they recommend Would have appreciated being warned that if you return late at night parking garage is locked up and you can’t get in Keeps your car safe but knowing this would have saved us an inconvenience We were visiting from Texas for relatives 80th birthday and we’re unaware of parking garages locking up at night Would enjoy staying in this hotel again though

Update: We stay here frequently for work and have to hive shot out to Carla who always goes beyond Also rooms are renovated now, love the full kitchen!First impression:It was just ok I told one of the girls at front desk that I had no phone service in my room and she told me to use my cellphone😲! But the night shift front desk girl when we arrived was super friendly

Breakfast was not as good as Rochester, NY location Also, it’s time to update the plugs with USB they still have a fax/tel outlet lol

Elena Pirovano

Business traveler Unless you absolutely need to stay at this hotel I would not recommend it My stay was for 19 days and it was average – at best

The bedding and towels are thin and cheap I was told upon check in that housekeeping would come once a week – never came until I asked at the front desk The room had a horrible odor and it did not look thoroughly cleaned from day 1 With two other hotels VERY close by you’d think the staff would put more effort into making sure the customers have a pleasant stayIf you’re planning on spending any time in your hotel room I would not recommend Homewood Suites

Housekeeping is on request For our 5 night stay we asked for two nights to be covered I had to ask twice because they didn’t provide service the first time, and also the second time

Check out is at 11 and it was our last day, there was a knock at the door for housekeeping at 1030 while we were trying to leave There’s only one person working the front desk at night and no house keeping on site The front desk phone was always busy and if you got through, you had to come get your requested items yourself Hilton, do better Do better by your staff

Chase Fullington

Catalytic converter stolen in the parking lot of the hotel! It was stolen sometime overnight Officer that came to take the report told me that he is at this location approximately twice per week on catalytic converter thefts Management is aware this is happening but does not have a single camera on the exterior of the hotel

Parking lot is full of trash, its clear they never spot clean it Beer cans, bottles and easily hundreds of cigarette buttsRoom was clean and in good condition That was a positive

Anthony Valenti

The hotel is fine, the front desk staff is a problem Both when I checked in and every morning eating breakfast I would watch them be rude to the guests Two men in particular always looked like they were annoyed and couldn’t be bothered to do their jobs, arms crossed and rolling eyes at every one coming to town to work that was in work attire

This hotel exceeded all expectations for my small weekend trip to New Haven The hotel is small, but feels cozy and not cramped Everyone who worked at the hotel was incredibly nice to us and even apologized for there not being valet parking (I can certainly park my own car myself)

The room was very upscale and felt clean and cozy I would certainly recommend as it is also super close to everything in that main street

Carrie Watts

Very good location if visiting the University or museums Rooms are clean, staff is friendly (even if you arrive at 3am because your flight is delayed) Agree with other posts- parking at $37 a day is atrocious

Pedestal sink with no counter space is silly And the room has no fridge or microwave- so only book here if being in walking distance to Yale and restaurants is your top priority

Suzanne Slade

The Study has always been a “home away from home” for our family With impeccable service, fully equipped, comfortable and clean, inviting rooms, we have always loved staying there I will always be grateful to them for their incredible kindness, warmth and thoughtfulness several weeks ago when we all stayed there for our mother’s funeral

Thank you to everyone there for providing so much comfort and refuge to us during that difficult time We Will appreciate it always

This b&b was comfortable and we loved the whimsical decor Rooms were clean and comfortable The proprietor was very accommodating and cooks a great breakfast! We neglected to check the train schedule and wer going to just miss the breakfast they serve at 9, and he went out of his way to pack some sandwiches to go! Location is super convient to the nice little town of Madison and there is a CT Rail station in walking distance

Highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Madison CT area

Dog Owner

Stayed one night No one available to greet us, just a basket on an outdoor stoop with envelopes containing a room key Exterior was unkept and overgrown, fountain in back lot filled with green swamp water

Room Accommodations are run down, and unsuitable for 2 Bathroom didnot have a door making it awkward to say the least No information provided in room regarding hotel services Never saw another person the entire stay Missed ‘breakfast’ as no one was there by 830 am, so we ended getting coffee and muffin at Willoughbys down the block Overall a disappointment – and no one to complain to because no one ever there! So – leaving the review on google to warn others

Love that they let me check in early (11am) at no charge! There was an Internet network issue on the day we stayed at the property (which I assume is a one off event) but besides that, no hiccups Helpful staff, spacious room (we had 2-queen beds) and great access to Yale and downtown New HavenOne recommendation would be to have complimentary water bottles to welcome guests, in addition to the water cooler at the reception (helpful for guests on the go)

Otherwise, highly recommend!

5 stars for an odd numbered room and 2 stars for an even numbered room Two day stay, first night was an even numbered room in the front of the building and didn’t get one second of sleep There were constant motor cycles screaming up and down the road right in front of the hotel

Stopping at the light and revving up their engines This happened over and over again It was as if the window was open We asked to switch rooms to the back of the building in which we had zero issues I’ve stayed in many hotels in my life all over the place and this hotel really NEEDS TO SOUND PROOF THEIR hotel, especially in the front I’ve stayed at airports, on highways, even at ocean beach San Diego at the end of the runway and I got more sleep there than this hotelThe positives? Great staff and bar area was open until 10 Great for hanging out Walking distance to Yale University, shops, and lots of nice restaurants Worth it if you have an odd numbered room or stayed in the back of the building

Keisha’s World

We stayed several nights in May 2022 (for the Yale reunion) and absolutely loved our experience The rooms are very well-appointed, with all the comforts of home including a wet bar area that looks very posh The decor and accent pieces were all so tastefully done, both in the room and the lobby

We were also quite impressed with the gym and fitness equipmentNever had a problem with noise for the four nights we were there I wish we had a hotel with this kind of vibe closer to where we are in Northern California!

Melanie

The hotel was very comfortable, and the morning coffee/tea service was a great touch We drove in from NYC and booked this hotel since we were eloping at City Hall the next morning, and trying to request a late checkout was far more difficult than I have encountered at any hotel in the past I noted the purpose of our trip in the reservation comments and was surprised that not one staff member bothered to share a simple “congratulations” when they read/heard we were getting married

We repeatedly received well wishes from strangers on the street I would have thought it would be the bare minimum from someone who had chosen a career in the hospitality industry The hotel was beautiful, but the service did not match the premium price point

Jessica Silvia

Just got home from our stay in room 314 and already miss the beautiful features We were in town for a concert and the location of this hotel was perfect It was in walking distance to many great restaurants, but also has a fine dining type restaurant on the main level and a rooftop bar that serves snack type foods along with delicious cocktails

Our room was perfect for what we needed and we could tell there were many thought out details that went into planning that you often don’t see at the big name hotels The staff was friendly and courteous and we really appreciated the complimentary morning coffee delivery each morning

Very nice and friendly New Haven hotel close to everything Attended a Yale conference here and also stayed at the hotel Room was comfortable with nice views

Staff was friendly and helpful I do note that the parking garage filled up and that was an issue for a colleague arriving with mobility issues – though with coaxing they accommodated but that should have not been so difficult

This was the first time staying in this area It was wonderful A nice place to stay for a weekend getaway

The room and bed was comfortable It was a bit cool so we had the pool all to ourselves It took a few minutes to get acclimated but afterward we swam for nearly an hour The sitting area on the first floor was very open and inviting There were many large windows I also enjoyed walking the labyrinthine floors and stairwells It was a great stay

We used the Courtyard at Marriott (Cromwell) for our wedding guests (hotel room block) and 3 wedding events The Sales Manager, Jennifer Roze was amazing! She was nice, knowledgeable, answered all questions promptly, was helpful every step of the way! She quickly resolved any issue or question I had This hotel also doesn’t penalize you if you don’t utilize all the rooms in your room block

That isn’t true for other hotels I was looking at Regarding the 3 Wedding Events (Hair & Makeup Room with Breakfast for the ladies, a separate Breakfast for the men, an After Party and a Post Wedding Breakfast All 3 events exceeded my expectations!! All staff at the hotel (literally every person I came in contact with) was pleasant, welcoming, and effective The food and drinks (Wedding Day Breakfast, After Party items, Post Wedding Breakfast) were delivered on time, were tasty, and plentiful The head of housekeeping introduced herself to me outside of the Hair & Make-up room and said if there’s anything she can do for me/us, to let her know To me, that is above and beyond For the after party, I didn’t realize that they would keep replenishing food That was a pleasant surprise At the post wedding breakfast, everything was delicious The pastries and breads were top quality Plenty of juice options Coffee was good As for the rooms, they were spacious, beds were comfortable, good water pressure in the shower All good The price for the rooms and events were reasonable They had professional looking signs for each event Thank you to everyone at the hotel who helped to make all our events a HUGE SUCCESS!! We and our guests were very happy I highly recommend this hotel for a Wedding Weekend option!

We were on a birthday trip for my wife and we chose the Residence Inn for its location and because we prefer what Residence Inn’s have to offer While the majority of our frequent stays over the years at Residence Inns are very pleasant and professional, this particular inn had a much appreciated bonus factor

its people Carlin, Janette and Samantha went out of their way to acknowledge my wife’s birthday and tend to our needswe really felt at home there on this trip We even got to share some breakfast time with some of our finest who serve our country All in all a great tripwe’ll be back! Thank you!

We made this the preferred hotel for guests for my daughter’s wedding Rented the large meeting room to host all guests the night before the wedding Brought in our own beer and canned drinks along with snacks

The full sized room fridges helped in keeping the drinks and food cold until our welcome event started Worked out great Everyone liked the hotel Very short drive to downtown Southington which has many interesting restaurants We liked a small Pakistani restaurant Only 15 minute drive to the New England Carousel Museum where we had the reception There is a great mini golf course only 15 miles away which was the recreational event morning before the reception

This long stay hotel (or residence as they call themselves) is a nice place to stay when in town for work or leisure Rooms are big enough to accommodate two people easily; each room has two tv’s, a big couch, a desk, a dinner table, a functional kitchenette, a well spaced closet and all of this is distributed like a small apartment I can recommend this place easily

Amenities in the outside included a grill, a basketball court and a swimming pool (which is suspiciously always “temporarily closed”

I had a lovely stay and was at the hotel 3 nightsOne of my friends stayed in the room which had 2 queen beds for one nightI came in fairly late around 10pm and a gentleman at the front desk offered to take my luggage upstairs to room 910, and to get ice, since the ice machine was not working on the 9th floor

The room was near the elevator, but we never heard any noiseThe staff at breakfast is outstanding, professional, and efficientCoffee every morning was excellent! We worked out in the small gym that was cleanThe front desk staff is very good and cheerfulThe hotel was sold out due to a wedding, and everyone worked hard and did a nice job! This is the third time staying here and was equally a nice stay compared to the other 2 staysIf you want your room refreshed, you just need to ask the front desk and they will accommodateThank you for another wonderful stay!10 out of 10 starsAnd the price was reasonable too

This place is not a five-star hotel, but it does compete strongly I am very impressed with the courtyard Marriott in downtown Waterbury It is Exemplary of what I have expected from Marriott and the Courtyard Brand

The room is immaculate, the view is amazing, the kitchen is clean, and they have two amazing TVs which anybody that knows me, knows I judge my room by the TV It is a ultra high definition television by the way which is probably about 70 inches Great for chilling and watching Netflix with your chick, or a guy or whatever It’s furnished very nicely And I believe that there is room serves on site, however I have not tried it yet There may not be but I’m going downstairs to try the breakfast now However I’m not really concerned because most times I stay in a courtyard, the breakfasts is great There is parking on site, a rental car service as well Oh, and let’s not forget laundry services, swimming pool, and fitness services I know, I know, most people are not fans of the city of Waterbury, however this hotel is very well placed, and there is no doubt that I will be back

For much less money I would rate it much better as it wasn’t a dive and the staff were responsiveMy gripes are that the shower was dirty, breakfast wasn’t included as advertised, and there was no mention of having to pay for parkingOverall the room was small to be shared by the four of us and several aspects gave the impression that form came before function when designing the rooms (key example: the towel bar is mounted directly above the toilet tank so that there isn’t space to hang a towel without it draping over the toilet; the bar isn’t mounted higher because there is a large abstract photo on the wall)

This is a true 2 star

the hotel has very little to offer The rooms are basically kinda small but pretty clean The bed is not too bad and the TV is huge with a nice picture Walls are very thin u can hear neighbors as if they were in the same room Because there are not many choices in the area that are not this cheap160$ a night I would stay here again maybe

Carla DiMauro

Very very clean, no odor in the room, linens had not even a stain Big tv, very good staff, good selection for breakfast and snack area Beds super comfy, even the kids slept longer

Only downside, the pool was closed for renovations and had it said that online we would’ve went elsewhere as it’s my daughter’s bday and the kids were excited about swimming

Tiffanys Channel

Stayed 4/29-5/2Pros: Quiet Location, Friendly Staff, and Decent BreakfastCons: I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room, immediately upon checking in there was a huge stain on the sheets, also there was a blonde hair on the pillow case I called the front desk and requested new sheets which were given promptly

Also TV wasn’t working the last night I was there
