Hands down the best hotel experience I’ve had Super friendly staff, clean rooms and the kitchenette in every room is wonderful for people staying for a while The grill is clean and typically has no wait and they have food and drinks every Wednesday! If you’re up here for Navy schools I strongly recommend staying here! I will be back!

Ray Craine

We stayed overseas for a local wedding The hotel was very clean and looked like it was redone in the last couple of years Ann Marie at the front desk was extremely helpful and the entire staff was friendly as we ram into them

The room, a studio king, was very roomy and up to date in all appliances This is now our go to place to stay when we want to stay overnight in Newport

Mindy LePooh

Bed was too soft, felt like I was going to drown while sleeping Slow draining sink Decent shower, kitchen, and living room

There was a weird, constant vibration in the floor in the middle of the room, almost as if we were standing on top of a large generator – very disconcerting Breakfast was standard buffet fare but mostly bad-for-you sugary/meaty stuff Across the street from a nature/protected area, good for walking around with our dog

My daughter and I had an excellent stay here The king room with sofa bed was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed The hotel is in a great location to walk to everything downtown

There are several restaurants within walking distance that are very very good I want to especially give thanks and a shout out to Ms Jen, the shuttle driver who picked us up from the airport She was so friendly and welcoming We immediately loved the city and area after talking with and listening to her My daughter and I were in town for a college tour at Brown and Ms Jen went out of her way to tell us about places to see, restaurants to try, things to do, etc She told us that the shuttle is complimentary within three miles of the hotel On the second day of our stay, we were able to utilize the shuttle to go across the river to see some shops Ms Jen was our driver for that trip as well and she was again wonderful We had intended to take another shuttle trip later that night with her, but it was booked and we ended up taking an Uber We were sad that we had to leave the next day and didn’t get a chance to properly thank her for all her help In addition to Ms Jen, the staff at the front desk were equally friendly and helpful Ricardo on nights had us laughing with his jokes We really enjoyed our stay in Providence and would happily stay at this Hampton again

Most important impact when checking into a hotel is how you are greeted upon arrival Everyone was warm and welcoming; Parker and her colleague were great When asked about any corporate rates she said she was new and not sure but would ask

That’s when Hannah came and was super, super cool and accommodating! Thank you! Can’t beat the location, walking distance to whatever you needBreakfast was top notch When so many are providing the bare minimum nowadays, this was a pleasant surprise and what breakfast was like pre covid Definitely will stay again Thank you

View looking out the parking garage Clean room appropriately aged, no microwave or fridge in the room but only on demand for a fee Rooms are small, TV with on demand movies for a fee and live TV with limited options

Decent Terrible location for a destination Perfectly fine for an in-between stay

The photo is very misleading of the fire pit Pool was still closed Elevator super tiny They have some construction going on while we were there in the extended lobby Rooms were very consistent, Marriott Clean, had everything we needed Staff was very nice

Matthew Orlandini

Not really much to say Vintage Marriott hotel: Clean, comfortable, with great service and staff Just wish Courtyards offered complimentary breakfast like most of the other Marriott properties

Took a dip in the pool; curiously the pool was much warmer than the jacuzzi That’s by no means a complaint – I enjoyed it

stephen scott

The staff of this hotel are absolutely awesome The front desk staff did an amazing job taking care of us It was just too bad that the bed was hard, the internet was slow, our door lock wouldn’t open the first night because the battery was dead, and the tv is about 10 years too old

The pool was out of commission too! This was due to a problem with the heater There wasn’t even a free breakfast

Rooms are filthy… had to buy Clorox wipes to remove “unknown” stains from all the furniture

The weed smell in the hall was obnoxious Don’t bother with the breakfast it’s was not good $10 for parking one car in the hotel parking lot This place is a warehouse district parking isn’t a problem… They are pet friendly and the 2 bedroom had a gas fire place Find someplace that tries harder

Brandi Hawkes

My adult daughter and I had to make a trip for medical reasons We were there a couple weeks Taylor, Felicia, Michael, and Ryan, truly made this a home away from home

Taylor was exceptional; Michael really went out of his way for us; Felicia continually assisted and supported us with a warm smile Ryan, he runs a tight ship with a wonderful balance of humanistic qualities, care, professionalism, and really appears to be good to his staff We return in just for over a week for another lengthy medical stay Our new home away from home!

Zion DiGennaro

The room was fairly clean, but felt pretty dated Didn’t smell too bad in my room, but the rest of the hotel in the lobby and stuff smelled moldyIt also seems crazy to make you pay extra for parking for stays under 4 nights

Room was nice and clean Free breakfast was goodPlenty of parking

Good location close to highway Easy to find the hotel Seems like a relatively safe areaThe noise from people opening and closing their room doors was kind of annoyingIt would be nice if they had EV charging or atleast an outlet to plug in the car overnightWe would stay here again

Mary Holmes-Burgess

We were for a quick overnight stay as we had an early morning business meeting My husband was able to take a nice shower and get out to his meeting which was at 6:30 I got up at ROUND 10 and wanted to take a shower and there was no hot water

Also the clock in the room was about 15 minutes slow and there was no way to adjust it We informed the front desk about both issues We were told that the water issue was a city thing and they adjusted our bill Other than that stay was satisfactory The bed was comfortable and the room was clean The floor was quiet except for when people were leaving their rooms and doors were slamming Would definitely stay here again especially if I was flying out of TF Green There is a walkway to the airport!

Gary ONeal

You know when you have that cross country flight and you get in very late and go down for breakfast at 945 when it closes at 10a and there no coffee and dregs of food left over…and then you ask the young busser if there is some more coffee and he says “breakfast is over “ 15 min before it is because no one ever taught him about customer service I know we’ve all been there and I did get my coffee but not a good experience…

Rooms were fine YadaYada…

Had a great time there, the bed and pillows were spectacular We are actually looking to purchase the pillows they were that comfortable We had a great view on the 16th floor, had connecting rooms for my family

Are you okay they had valet parking and the self parking lot in the hotel The hotel had a nice special feature it was a bridge from the hotel to the mall so you didn’t have to walk outside

Ali Pharaa

Excellent location near popular spots and restaurants Rooms are spacious and comfortable Gym is massive and well equipped

Only problem is that the pool isn’t really a pool, more like a small water fountain filled with kids and their parents No possibility of swimming even if it was empty All in all great hotel for sightseeing and working out

Sayed Mousawi

80s hotel with a feel of early 2000s renovations The rooms are in desperate need of updating The place looks like a 80s time capsule

Bathroom is the only renovated part yet still needs upgrading The hotel staff are great the location is amazing They connect to the adjacent mall via a bridge which is very convenient I just still can’t get over how dated is the room/lobby areas are Not sure id stay here again if I’m ever back in Providence

Very nice room with fireplace! Great for those cold evenings The only downside was arriving at night to check-in and having to rehash the reservation (pre-paid) and be asked to sign and pay an incidental fee of $25, in case we charged anything additional The point of reservation and prepayment was to be able to get some rest after traveling

kathy botty

Horrible! No parking near hotel unless you book a suite Extra charges at check in 50

00 On top of room that was already paid for An amenities fee I didn’t see any amenities Couldn’t even get a coffee in the lobby let alone breakfast Bathroom sink did not drain Room was not that clean I couldn’t wait to get out if there Checked out at 5 am!

Peter Kung

Was upgraded to king suite with full kitchen Would definitely book that room in the futureService was supportive of my needs and provided appropriate discount for the inconveniences we faced

Overall a relaxing experience and would come back again

This is a beautiful hotel right in the thick of downtown Providence The valet parking was effortless and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived I enjoyed my stay here

I was able to walk to some restaurants even though it was very cold outside therefore the location is fabulous The rooms beautiful and very tastefully decorated The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome Next time I’m in town I definitely will be staying here

Christine Li

Fantastic experience here at the Renaissance Providence Downtown hotel from the valet, to check in, to check out One hundred percent recommend this hotel for all The valet is super nice and efficient

They manage your car nicely and always had it ready for me within fifteen minutes of my request The check in and check in processes were super easy Lobby and elevators were clean Rooms were beautiful and clean All amenities were available and room service was lovelyNow for my standard COVID comments as of April 2022 Not most if not all employees were wearing masks However, this didn’t take away from how clean the hotel was and the amount of decent social distancing

Goodness What to say

always a lovely stay hereWe’ve stayed with Renaissance at several different properties re: Marriott, and we’ve always received top-notch service This Renaissance is no different Perfect for out-of-town guests and locals alike Great location downtown, yet away from the hustle and bustle – right next to the State House and the VETS Auditorium, near the Financial District & Providence Place MallUpon arrival, you’re met with experienced valet service and whisked inside to reception Hotel staff is attentive, sharp to detail, thorough, and above all, warm – great pillars of hospitalityWe’ve been fortunate enough to be placed on the Concierge level with our stays due to our Bonvoy status, which is a nice touch The lobby smells fantastic, cleanly aromatic, as does the rest of the hotel Just kind of carries throughThere’s also beautiful architecture at this location, and nothing & nobody is pretentious – it’s just an obvious high standard of excellence that filters through every aspect of your stay here Highly recommend if ever you travel in/around Providence

Aside from being fully booked which I understand creates issues, the staff here wasn’t friendly and didn’t give welcoming vibes The people working the desk didn’t take the time to be personable, or even familiarize themselves with someone like me who stays for 5 days at a time, This Hampton is in a decent location with some shopping and dining nearby My opinion is just that, opinion and I feel my stay here honestly sufficed as a place to stay but I’ve had better experiences at Motel 6

Adrian Sirdar

Convenient location but definitely needs improvement The assigned room smelt musty and they couldn’t switch because they were fully booked The dining area in the lobby was always messy

The staff were okay but some could be friendlier The choice of entertainment in the room is horrible with technology from the early 2000s No instant TV guide, on demand, the remote was circa 1950s, no connection options, limited stations Could be better

Claudia

THANK YOU!! You saved out tushies After aborting out stay at the HIE, I appreciate you taking my call and reserving a room at 10:30 at night Everything so far has been very good, and it sure beats the 80 degree room w/ Busted A/C that they couldn’t seem to get working

You accommodation is my appreciated Thank you again! ::Peter & Claudia

Great stay at the Aloft! Really nice, new clean hotel with a rooftop lounge Exceptional staff who really care about their guestsAs a Titanium member, this hotel made me feel more appreciated than any other hotel that I have stayed at in the last few years

Eli welcomed me at the desk and made me feel like a really valued guest Yes, I appreciated the upgrade to the Jr Suite, but even more, it is the way he really cared about me He told me that he loves to take care of frequent travelers because he “knows it is travelers like me who keep them in business” – WOW! The rest of the staff were really helpful too I needed to stay another night, and they let me stay in my upgraded room without an issue And, I needed to send a fax – no problem to just bring it to the front desk The hotel is nice, modern, and clean – but even more – the people working there seem to care

Gary Barmore

The hotel is brand new and has a very modern design inside Be AWARE that this modern design style is very much apart of the room layout We had a double queen bed room that only had a very thin divider, that did not reach the floor nor ceiling, between the beds and the bathroom sink and shower

Nor was there a door of any kind to the shower area! There is absolutely no privacy whatsoever to take a showerThe front desk on the first night told us that was how all the rooms were laid out, but the next morning once the manager arrived they were able to find us a room with a door to the bathroom Even with the door the layout of the room was still somewhat poor in design They informed us that they are aware of the problems and are working on a solution I highly recommend checking your room out before you settle in to make sure it works for you

Mike Dombrowski

Nice hotel, clean rooms, fun lobby downstairs Overall a good stay but a few minor things can be improvedWe booked multiple rooms for multiple nights for a group of people

Very small refrigerator in our suite, a small microwave would have been nice (when we travel we try to visit local restaurants and usually have lots of leftovers/takeout) Fewer and fewer hotels seem to be doing this, but it is a small change that would be appreciatedAlso, Parking situation could be better Valet is over $30 a night, and often times when it is busy it takes a while (5-10 minutes or more) to get your car The ‘self park’ they recommend is fine, but every time you leave and come back you have to pay the full rate How about negotiating with that garage to get pay-one-price per day with full in and out privileges? Finally, we really liked the Brunch menu at the rooftop bar and wanted to try it, but it was only available for a few hours on Sunday only Expanding those hours/days might get more people to try it out

The staff at this Marriott was exceptional! As a well seasoned traveler (3 million plus miles in the air and years of hotel nights) I notice attitudes and moods of employees From the front desk staff to the housekeeping, maintenance and restaurant crews, this group worked like a well oiled machine Everyone greeted me with a smile, went out of their way to chat and check on my stay, and otherwise made me feel at home

Kudos to the management staff who have clearly instilled a positive culture among the employees, who always were busy with some task, but never so engrossed that they couldn’t check on our experience Food was excellent as well! Well done!

Josh

If you like hanging by the pool this is a great place We spent most of our time there Our 3 boys (6,4,2) loved it

Rooms are ok, nothing special Gym is pretty disappointing Didn’t get anything from the restaurant If they spent a couple hundred on the gym it would go from a 3 to an 8 Need an Olympic bar 2 more 45 lb plates, new attachments for the cable machine and dumbbells that go up to 90 lbs

Sangeeta Gupte

Hotel is clean and great location Staff at breakfast lounge was very courteous However staff at front desk was very rude

When requested for late check out they rudely said that it can be extended to 1 pm but you need to call in the morning When I came to room, I could not log into WiFi when I added room number and last name When I called front desk, instead of helping, they asked me do you know what is the last name??? When called in the morning, rudely indicated that they can’t allow late check out as they are busy They could have said this in better tone They definitely need training or need to replace them I am a Bonvoy member for long time and have respectable status (platinum) I do not expect this kind of service from Marriott brand hotel I will not stay in this hotel due to ‘BAD’ ‘UNACCEPTABLE’ front desk service

The hotel seemed new, but already not cleaned or maintained properly The windows in the room were dirty and the room had a slightly sour smell The first day, there was also an orange traffic cone inexplicably in the elevator

Pool was out of order as was the ice machine on our floor; room-key did not open the door to the fitness center; need to ask front desk They were very friendly and helpful with access and later with Kate check out Fitness room is inadequate with poor ventilation, a non-working TV and little variety The location is excellent; right on the main shopping area in Route 2 Warwick/West Warwick Extremely convenient location I think that if they put more money and effort into maintenance, this could have been much better and I hope they do, because it is a great location

Leticia Romney

Horrible and traumatizing Arrived a little after midnight to stay with three children (including two babies) because of electrical issues in our home Upon arriving to the room, I saw a bug on the door frame before entering

Upon entering, I saw a roach crawling near an electrical outlet Major red flag Thankfully I hadn’t taken my babies out the double stroller because my 12-year old had opened up the pullout sofa and when I turned around I saw several roaches crawling all over the mattress I told him not to touch another thing and that we had to leave the room immediately This was 5-6 roaches all within three minutes of entering the room! And these were only the roaches we could SEE I can only imagine how many we couldn’t see I asked for a full refund and had to pack my babies up and find another hotel at 1am I’m generally pretty easygoing, but these were truly DISGUSTING conditions They’ve gotten back to me to say that they’ll forward the message along to housekeeping, but I really truly hope they get that issue resolved

Michael Finnegan

Rooms oversized and comfortableHotel can’t control who their noisy patrons are, but walls – and especially doors between adjoining rooms – offer no silencing or privacy After yelling through the wall and banging on door for hours, I finally went to the front desk at 3AM

Attendant called the room, got no answer, and went back to what she was so importantly doing at 3AMNo eggs or breakfast meat this morning, but waffles with no syrup, and butter in the fridge to hard to spread Oh, and 1 toaster for the whole hotel to share, half not working

My son had to have surgery in Providence He is a student athlete at Brown, so I needed to stay in Providence with him for a couple of days for his recoveryI arrived an hour earlier than check in

Ricardo was very welcoming and checked me in, but was unable to get me into my room yet He phoned me as soon as the room was ready He asked to pray for my son’s surgery and recovery Very niceWhen I needed to extend my stay, I inquired with management if I was able to continue in the same room, as to not have to move my son They were able to rearrange reservations so that he could remain comfortable I greatly appreciate the lengths that they went to make our stay stress freeThe fire alarm going off at 2am, and my son having to navigate the stairwell full of guests, from 6 floors up was inconvenient Then stand outside on crutches for 25 minutes However, we understood this was out of their control – but wasn’t even addressed at check out?Pretty location overlooking harbor Close to restaurants and Brown University We did not utilize the hotel restaurant

Views from the lounge are really nice Rideshare doesn’t necessarily know where to pickup with the gates blocking the path to the check-in drive, so just put your pin out closer to the road The fitness center is pretty lacking – one of the treadmills was broken, no sanitizing wipes, and no water inside

Room itself was good Kitchen is really convenient for breakfast, though one day my potatoes were pretty heavily seasoned and I couldn’t eat them Overall good hotel option

Michelle Osipowicz

The front end evening staff (Ricardo) as well as the bartender Lilly are wonderful! Room was clean cut could definitely use more lighting That goes for the hallway to to rooms also- felt dark One complaint I have which is really not that big of a deal is the music or Muzak they play in the lobby area… it can drive you insane

It’s very psychotic lol Also breakfast during the week be open past 9am for those who work late and sleep in a bit

All around, this is an awesome spot on a gorgeous river The rooms are beautiful and unique among peer hotels (very minimalist modern design) and we loved all of our meals in the restaurant The fries were especially noteworthy

Each staff member with whom we interacted was professional and welcoming, especially the wonderful servers in the restaurant I highly recommend hanging out on the deck—what an awesome spot! Also, be certain to check out the brewery down the roadThe only real low point was that our room (141) reeked of stale cigarette smoke, and this unfortunately clung to our clothes all weekend We visited for Brown commencement, and our family spanned 5 rooms Of these rooms, only two smelled like cigarettes; the others were totally fine If you check in and are assigned to room 141 (or another smelly room), request a new room immediately The trouble will be worth it!All in all, we had a great stay and the price was unbeatable I recommend staying at the NYLO

Melanie Perry

I loved this hotel!! It might not be everyone’s cup of tea as it is designed in rather a Steam Punk style Rooms are concrete on the floor and walls with some softening elements placed to make the rooms cozier Ducts and ceiling fixtures are exposed in the hallway as part of the further design scheme

Some people might find this a little cold, but I found it to be extremely stylish The bed was one of the coziest I have slept in, the restaurant provided delicious food offerings, and the front desk staff was extremely accommodating I stayed here by chance after my flight to leave Providence was canceled and I had to find a room quickly The next time I’m in town, I will look this place up for a longer stay

Rohan Shah

I love the NYLO collection of hotels This one is outstanding The industrial furniture, lighting and overall ambiance is a breath of fresh air

The location is also quite central I am glad that the restaurant is back up and running as the breakfast is a great value for the quality I couldn’t believe that the hotel was only $110 + taxes for the night on our corporate Travel app

Overpriced!!!No offense, but my family has had bad experiences at all Fairfield inns we have stayed at This one was no different First bad sign was that in the front they had a broken window

At check in we asked about it and got a generic response that she showed up one day an it was like that (we will get back to that later) Walked into the room to find that pictures didn’t really represent what the room looked like seems like some false advertising although if you read it say it doesn’t offer Ada roll in showers the pictures of the room does show a walk in shower unlike others claim to have received one with a walk-in we didn’t which is disappointing that we got unlucky with some being renovated and others not Beds were comfortable, but a lot of the wallpaper was pealing Later in the night we walked down to the lobby area and found out that there was a security guard at the front desk even with it being by the airport the area seemed a little rough the shower was rough at best lukewarm cool water Breakfast was pretty garbage and because of how busy the area was we payed about $290 The room is good for a 1 night few hours of sleep type of night as long as it’s a more reasonable priced and you don’t care about the breakfast or shower It would be good though for people going to the airport in the morning Don’t over pay here if your going to over pay due to a busy weekend it’s worth your time staying somewhere else

Writing review to educate potential travelers on what you can expect What it is The location is ideal- walk through one parking deck and you’re in the airport

It is renovated- They have invested in the decor of the rooms- new carpet, tile, walk-in showers Rooms appeared very clean Friendly staff What it is not It is not a new hotel despite the photos It is not quiet- walls are beyond paper thin and bathroom vents must connect to neighbors You’ll hear and smell things that should be private It is not open and airy- construction was probably 50 years ago and ceilings are super low I rated it 3 stars because it isn’t bad and isn’t great But if you want to roll out of bed and be 5 minutes from your gate- it’s worth the rent!

Jamey Loewe

I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel After having a TERRIBLE time trying to find a hotel after being stranded here, I drove to the Fairfield Inn and the front desk associate could not have been kinder Rita was amazing

She listened, she was sympathetic and she found a room for my son and me The rooms are great and very clean The breakfast is fantastic and every associate is kind and helpful

We stayed here with a block of rooms for our wedding The hotel is beautiful and conveniently located, but the service fell well below expectations, the hotel is showing its age, and it is seems to be poorly managed My wife’s family was treated poorly several times and it felt racially-motivated when compared to how my family was treated

My wife was asked by hotel staff to help clean one of her family’s rooms even as she clearly wore part of her bridal outfit My family was immediately and politely given an extra hour for checking out of our rooms, while my father-in-law was told he would need to speak to the manager to approve the same request, even when he mentioned that they were part of the wedding family The manager never called him back In addition, no one explained the very complicated parking situation to him even when he asked, resulting in a much higher bill that the hotel refused to address; meanwhile, my parking bill issue was resolved immediatelyThe hotel had mistakes on my parents’ bill and on my bill, so check carefully They moved my brother to a suite because of a broken, leaky AC in the original room, and then tried to charge us the higher rate without saying anything AC did not work well in many of the other rooms, including the bridal suite, and none of our showers drained properlyConsider using the hotel bar for the views of the breathtaking lobby but it’s probably worth staying elsewhereUpdate: the manager eventually called back and resolved the parking situation with my father-in-law while offering some credit While appreciated, the frustration remains

The bathroom was extremely small Certainly no room for 2 people and no room to put toiletries anywhere except maybe on top of the toilet We had a 2 room suite that was very nice

However, as my wife and I were talking at around midnight, we did get a few knocks on the wall from the people next door Must’ve been thin walls There was no valet parking but a parking garage a block away Nobody met us outside to assist with the bags The front desk was nice and told me where to park and when I walk back to get the parking receipt validated I noticed a sign at the garage with a max parking price of $25 As it turned out, I was charged $3560 for parking by the hotel Now that was pretty sleazy considering there was no valet service My cousin who joined us in another car paid the next day at the garage and was charged $19 for the same amount of timeBottom line, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel There are other very good hotels nearby

Shocked this hotel is so highly rated Maybe the history of the building has covered guests’ eyes with rose-tinted glasses, but this hotel should not be rated a three star hotel, let alone a four star hotel My heart sank a little bit as soon as I entered the hotel as the staff couldn’t find my reservation

They later found it (and charged me twice for it), and things only got worse The bathroom was very dirty (please do yourself a favor and don’t rub any of the surfaces with a tissue), and the AC only worked sporadically throughout the nightThere was an unfortunate incident where a lady screamed racist statements in the elevator and meaningfully stared at my room’s number I spoke to the front office hoping to get some action taken, but I received encouragement to try to find the lady’s room number The last thing I wanted to do was confront some clearly unhinged woman going on racist tirades I was hoping to at least get moved to a different floor so I didn’t have to worry about this lady, but I guess management thought this was just another casual event Speaks volumes about how you will be treated if something goes wrong! If this was the Hilton or Marriott I would guarantee they would do their best to make sure you felt safe and supportedAs far as the pros Their shampoo/conditioner is actually pretty nice and I loved that the TVs are adjustable I also definitely appreciated the historic nature of the building and the overall architecture, but I’d do yourself a favor and step into the hotel lobby, admire the view, and book yourself a different hotel

I was looking to get away for a few days to slow down and reset The Beatrice was the perfect spot! The room offered amazing views of downtown, with oversized floor to ceiling windows I found myself reading and painting the afternoons away, with a healthy dose of people watching

The bed was extremely comfortable and the modern bathroom offered a lovely shower and warm soft robes It truly felt like I was being pampered I secretly enjoyed the rainy days because it gave me an excuse to relax in my room even moreThe staff was professional and warm, offering great dining recommendations and a friendly interactions The ease of valet parking further reduced any stress that may come from parking in the cityI definitely recommend The Beatrice to anyone coming to Providence!

The Beatrice hotel is a hidden gem in downtown providence The valet Alberto greeted us promptly and was quick to assist us with our bags Upon entering the hotel we were greeted with happy guests and the most beautiful chandelier and mosaic

The decor alone doesn’t scream providence in the best ways possible The front desk team of Sydney and Olivia was everything and more A smooth greeting with such warmth made you feel right at homeKevin who was there in the evening helped with great suggestions on where to go He was just a delight overallThank you to Jennifer, the general manager who truly went above and beyond with her staff to make this getaway a memorable one

The Beatrice is a wonderful local hotel The use of space is brilliant and the integrity of the original historic structure has been maintained That’s what made me want to write this review in the first place

Integrating the old paper street alley to me was emblematic of the smartness and design throughout the hotel The rooms seem both warm and contemporary which is a hard combination to pull off I was delighted to hear that some of the artwork throughout the hotel was created in and of the memories of its namesake Beatrice It felt like I was in on a family secret Last – Bellini’s is really a lovely spot The restaurant wasn’t open when I was there but I did see inside and I’m looking forward to going back some weekend over the winter Excellent

The room was spacious but there we so many problems especially for the expense1 The pool was temporarily closed for maintenance but has been for a while and they don’t know when it will reopen

That would have been good to know before booking2 They are stingy with towels We had 6 people in a room and it was like pulling teeth to have more than 4 towels3 It was not very clean The tub had a lot of mildew around the bathmat inside the tub so you can tell when they clean that they don’t lift it up and just clean around it We found several items belonging to previous guests4 They have built in shampoo conditioner and body wash dispensers I accidentally knocked one off the wall and there we tons of ants dead thought out the shampoo GrossI did try to communicate some of the issues to the front desk but they just act surprised and say they’ll send someone up, but didn’tI would avoid this place for a short term stay

Mark Cogean

Pillow case had blood stain on it Request extra towels to be brought to room due to dirty ones, front desk refused to bring it to the room Random people walking around the area, pretty shady

Seems to have a lot of long term residents You get handed a piece of paper with “mom-like” rules on it, stating no parties allowed, and this is the one and only warningno noise after 10pm but yet there’s banging and yelling (we came mid week) The showers temperature doesn’t stay consistentAT ALL Piping hot to ice cold Toilet was rocking when sat on, thought we were going to fall off The list goes onThey don’t turn rooms over daily unless requested (weird) also if you stay 7 days or more they’ll turn the room over once a week Againweird coffee maker was also totally filthy and found bugs walking around the bathroomWe are from the state and recently moved away, came back for a few days and was not impressed at allGood location due to next to car rental garage

Joydeep Paul

I did not expect such a wonderful experience staying here Although I stayed overnight but I would ideally stay here for a week or more the studio apartment was great and very well maintained clean room with great amenities Especially the fully stocked kitchen with pots pans etc

The location is fantastic and everything is within reach from grocery to great restaurants I will definitely return to stay here

Nice clean hotel Located in a very nice place in downtown with many food and art and craft establishments aroundThe lobby is filled with antiques and is decorated well

The rooms in the second building are a little hard to get to and you have to go though a maze of a walkway to get to the elevatorThe hotel staff is nice and accommodating, we arrived at the hotel around 11:30 AM when the check in was scheduled after 4 PM and were hoping that we had to leave our luggage with the bell boys and come later for check-in but the hotel staff made a clean room available for us right away and checked ✔️ us in without any waitBravo good customer service

We stayed here for the weekend for a wedding The hotel, amenities and event spaces were great and the room itself had everything we neededThe real 5 stars goes to Molly who is part of the staff here

She went above and beyond in helping for any of our needs and was always nearby to assist and was also quick to provide recommendations for things in the area She absolutely crushed it when it came to hospitality during our visit!

You can put lipstick on a pig but it’s still a pig… it looks so nice, I’ll give them that But man, this place was awful My husband and I are traveling with military orders with our dogs

this place is *pet friendly* we were placed on a pet floor with other pet guests but we’re given a notice of our dogs barking by guests that were not staying with pets due to overbooking We were also down graded to a smaller room due to that, but still charged a higher rate while having a compt drink at the bar (only good thing, with good service) we spoke to another guest who also had a horrible stay here Again, if aesthetics is all you’re looking for then you’ll find it here nothing else I will never be the one who criticizes the middle manaka the desk clerk this is something higher management needs to address

Me and my boyfriend got a room because we we were traveling Our room assigned to us was unacceptable There was body hair, used shampoo bottles, mold in the shower and dark brown stains on the furniture

There was no door handle on the bathroom door My handicap father got stuck in the bathroom because there was no way to get out from the broken handle So then we went down and complained and got a new room It was cleaner and more acceptable Only issue was the shower head was not attached and none of the ice machines worked I will be letting everyone know about this traumatic experience and would never let anyone I know stay there because of my negative experience

Dallas Garven

Great experience, it’s a holiday inn so you know what you are getting for the most part Pool was small but seemed to be kept well The staff team was friendly whenever we saw them greeted us at the door when coming in/out

Continental breakfast was nice to see back Again nothing super crazy your basic eggs, potatoes, meat, cereal, muffins, yogurt, ECT Not a far drive to downtown Providence and lots of oceans and activities nearby We would return if we came back to the area!
