What a spectacular place! I wish we could give 100 stars! We stayed in the suite with 2 queen beds, a fantastic bathroom, large full kitchen, a bar and table for 8, with a living room and that had two pull out beds, but the cherry was the picture perfect view of downtown When we walked in our youngest child said, “wow it’s beautiful!” Our oldest said, “This looks like a Hallmark movie!” This place is specialThe beds were the best we have ever had! I would recommend a sleep mask if staying in the suite

The beautiful skylight is stunning but also lets in the morning light If you need to sleep in darkness, I would suggest bringing your mask The service was spectacular and so very accommodating We will be back!

Very friendly staff, answered all of our questions prior to booking Room was nice and big and very clean Very comfortable and quiet

Nice location and they provide a nice little continental breakfast and bottled water They have a restaurant downstairs, but it was closed when we were there, so we were unable to give it a try We were there for softball and baseball games and the location of the Inn was less than a mile to both of the fields we were playing at The next time we are in the area, we will certainly be staying here! We don’t have a single complaint about our stay

While we were checked in and urilizing pool and rooms under 2 adult shaperones I recieved a phone call statimg that they have a no party policy I informed the manager on the phone that it was transparent with staff He then stated well we should pg put a 250 deposit It was a all white staff and we had people of color and manger made remarks of this non shalontly We then had to have a refund cause he was no going to allow a 15yrs old party of 7 people or less It was booked well in advance Which in turn we had to search at the last mon for another place I believe if we were an all white party there would of not been any issues I expect a comp for my troubles, will be contacting bbb, and attorney general People should never be treeated this wayRespectfully submittedBill and Heather

Every time we visit, Tim and Emily go above and beyond to make our stay so wonderful We stayed last night for a concert and the hotel was sold out for a wedding

and even though it was busy, every worker had a smile on their face and a pleasant “hello may I help you ” My bartender was very nice as well Thank you guys for making our weekend so special We will forever book here with you guys

Scott

We stayed on July 2nd and there just happened to be fireworks up the road so that was nice We could see them from our room window The pool was full so we didn’t go but there is a cracker barrel next door so we walked over

Had the suite with a pull out couch and TV was visible from all locations in the room This is a standard HIE but it has been remodeled since we were here last and it is very nice!! Clean bathroom and room was waiting for us

Maria Therese

This was a lovely place to stay! The staff was super sweet and helpful, and the hotel rooms were clean and quiet Breakfast (which was free) had a lot of options, even dairy-free and gluten-free! I’m so happy I stayed here The only complaint I might have is that the free wifi was pretty spotty on the 2nd floor

But other than that, a perfect stay

If I could just rate the staff, I would give them a 5/5 because they were friendly and helpful On the other hand, the room and atmosphere is a 2/5 First, the room had a very noisy air conditioner and the walls were very thin

Secondly, the atmosphere was bad because of the other guests I understand that the hotel cannot control who stays at the hotel, but I think with more quiet rules and regulations, we would’ve had a better stay There were children running in the street and parking lot unattended and children would run up and down the halls screaming My husband and I checked out a day early and got a refund for the rest of the stay There are plenty of other hotels to stay in the area, choose wisely

David Hammann

Great stay while in town for business Great food near buy Casino next door if that’s your thing

Clean room with mini fridge Nice pool with a nice small fitness room The complementary breakfast if very nice with several items to choose from Very nice overall place to stay Staff is awesome Will be back in the East Peoria area many times in the future I would definitely recommend and will stay here again

Theresa Dris Benchargui

Staff 5 star! Breakfast attendant and desk clerks were courteous and professional That being said, as a diamond member and frequent user of Hampton/Hilton, the room was not up to standard Is it because the river is close? I don’t know, the room definitely had a musty odor and the bedding also

Actually put my sweater over the pillow it smelled that bad Traces of black residue where wall/ceiling meet Dim lighting in room- although the towels were cleaned, they were kind of damp also Not a big deal and probably nothing for the hotel to do, but FYI the channels and guide do not match up- A lot of people complaining about the toaster at breakfast First and last time at this location

Time Is Short

My husbands and I have stayed many places and you can tell when staff really cares about the people they have staying here The rooms are clean The staff really take the time to put everything into place for the guests and it really shows

Breakfast is good and they always have hot coffee or tea with cookies all the times The staff seems to be more like a family They do need a little updating but like I said the rooms are clean and bug free if other wise we would not be here for 5 months Guests and there children need to think of others as they run and scream in the hallways God Bless and Thank you

Gjason Garrett

No surprise here it’s the people that make this place five stars the room was okay with a fridge and a microwave But the people are fantastic any questions we had were answered easily we were able to take a shuttle provided by the hotel to the Civic Center to see a concert there was a total of 8 to 10 of us at no charge They also picked us up at the end of the show with little to no waiting time provided a wonderful breakfast for two days the place was exceptionally clean and well taken care of thank you Country Inns and Suites for such a wonderful trip

Was able to stay here for a few days and was impressed with how unique it is compared to other hotels This hotel definitely has its own personality Rooms were clean and comfortable

The property was well maintained and it looked like a section of rooms was also being renovated to keep it looking nice The pool area is large and the pool itself also has an outdoor section I had to use the laundry facilities during my stay and was pleased to see the washer and dryer were clean and working properly

Kimberly Boggess

Overall very nice stay The pool area was surprisingly large, and while busy, wasn’t too busy to swim The free breakfast was pretty good

The hotel itself is very large with lots of little places to relax Some of the decor and lighting make it feel a little dark and dated However, overall it was nice

Linda Oelberg Schulthes

I attended a wedding reception at Stony Creek in May of 2022 I was very much impressed with this facility for many reasons The staff is accommodating

I am older and use a walker I did not request a room that would accommodate my needs but was provided with a handicap accessible room very close to the main desk as well as the room being used for the reception They even gathered my bag from my car and carried it to my room The food for the reception was delicious and staff scurried to provide services I was also impressed with the sleeping quarters The room is spacious and it was so quiet that I felt as if I was the only guest I would definitely recommend this inn

I did not have a positive experience at Marriott Courtyard I booked 2 nights at this location Upon arrival the front desk staff was very friendly

When I got back to my room at the end of the first day I found that the room had not been cleaned, bed not made, towels not changed I contacted the front desk who advised that due to COVID they would not be cleaning rooms However, they would gladly provide fresh towels upon request I subsequently requested fresh towels and extra pillows, but when I returned later that night nothing was provided My wife and I ended up using wet towels, shared one paper cup, and 2 little soaps between us, for 2 nights My advice if you stay more than 1 night: BYOT (Towels)Apart from that, the floors were a little grubby, there were shoe prints on the bathroom floor, and the water glasses untouchable: they had clearly been wiped with a dirty clothThe hallways and lobby could definitely benefit from vacuuming, and the elevator from a good scrubbing of the floor Shame on you Marriott Courtyard

Eden Duke

I enjoyed the hotel Staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean Only issue that keeps it from getting a 5 star review was that all of the elevators had expired inspection papers

The food was also a disappointment the brioche buns were old and you could use the hamburger meat to pound a nail, it was so overcooked The fried pickles and potato chips were soggy However my son enjoyed the dessert (chocolate cake) All in all it was a nice hotel- just don’t take the elevator or eat the food

Gilberto Estrada

Nice hotel, totally reccomended I stayed here a couple of nights for work and I left very satisfied with the room and the service I had a double in the seventh floor with the view to all downtown

The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable The bathroom was also really niceThe only detail I have to mention is that in the map there are two hotels as Marriott and I was trying to enter to the one on the left It seems like they did some remodeling and the two locations come up when looking for it but it’s the same Maybe it was just meI would definitely would stay here again, there are a few restaurants around and the restaurant in the hotel is pretty good as well

The Robinson Family

The hotel was average and the staff that check us in was great The evening desk clerk was bad Had a meltdown with kids and parents

The reason for the stay was all of our city’s soccer kids had a tournament All ages Lots of rooms booked Kids were not doing anything but hanging out with each other like us parents We were yelled at by that desk clerk who later called the Police (the officer said there was no problem other than this hotel guy being highstrung) He yelled at us because he had let us stay in a group for four hours already and we needed to disperse This was all before quiet hours and yes a lot of parents sitting outside and in the lobby and kids in the pool or just in rooms or walking to or from parents I travel all the time for work so I stay in many places The yelling by the hotel clerk was excessive and the only disruptive thing to happen When hotels push to book large groups, those groups will congregate and socialize My family reunions at hotels have been much rowdier Much, much rowdier but it is a very large family This was tame in comparison so the yelling and calling Police to break up our group was what gives this place a low star rating

Mark Holler

Firstly, I wanted to say that if I could give the hotel a 6 star for the service last night, I would The 2 staff members on duty did an excellent job preparing a clean room for us, after there was a mistake in the system regarding our reservation and availability of rooms It was a case of going beyond the call of duty

Other than that, the breakfast was good, staff is friendly, and the place is very clean

Me

The staff was excellent in receiving guests Very inviting Loved the ‘happy’ hour, I was given 2 complimentary alcoholic drinks and kids had the options of soda or lemonade

We didn’t take advantage of the made to order breakfast, as we slept in on the very comfortable King bed!! Room was comfortable and spacious, hotel decor needs a little TLC but it’s beautiful nonetheless Unfortunately, the Cafe was closed, as well as the pool area, the hot tub appeared to be drained and sectioned offCheck out was excellent, they were in training and did great! Perfect stay for the GVF concert!!

Patrick Hobin

I booked for the wrong dates on a 3rd party site, and Jordan was awesome in helping me change things a get a room The room was great the service was awesome (especially Jordan and the front desk staff), the cleaning staff was patient and accommodating Property was clean and the breakfast was very good

I would recommend this property when visiting the Peoria area

Josh Zeigler

Staff was very friendly and helpful The location itself is very dated, wore out and well past a remodel It is on the river but across from downtown area

Has a river front area thats in need of repairs Hot tub was down in pool area, revolving door was down as well Neither on site cafes was open They also charge $10 for parking which i was shocked to pay Seeing as this is not downtown and they have more than enough parking If given the correct remodel and attention, this would be an incredible location for conferences

At time of writing the hotel seems to be refurbishing it’s roomsThe new rooms are very comfortable and well appointedHowever, the internal sound insulation is very poor and you can clearly hear your neighbours converse or watch TV, the air handling is also rather loud and cannot be turned off

Bizarrely at breakfast they offer cereals but you have to ask for a bowl and spoon, thankfully the staff are very helpful and friendly

Mindy Swartz

This hotel has been newly remodeled It was clean and the pool area was nice I asked for adjoining rooms when I booked two rooms for my family of five

When I checked in that was not the case Our rooms were on the same floor but not adjoining This is difficult for a family of five with three kidsThere were four wedding events going on so lots of noise outside the room until early morning hours If there are wedding events it is not family friendly as there is a lot of noise with people who like to partyThe staff was nice for the most part One of the staff members I encountered was not very pleasant, but the rest were really wonderfulThe location in downtown Peoria is not the best as there was a murder in the early morning a few blocks away from the hotel the day we stayed
