We loved our rooms Having the kitchen island area to work instead of a desk was great and everything was really clean The location is great with a good view of NYC

On our last day in New Jersey we went to explore NYC We had asked the front desk if we needed to move our car or if the parking pass would still let us out They informed us the pass didn’t expire until the end of the day When we got back to our car and went to leave the card wouldn’t let us out and we had to pay $18 in addition to the $22 for parking we paid every day we were there It was a good stay but only about half of the front desk staff were great

Really great hotel! It made our stay in New York more relaxed and special Very clean and modern suite, and kitchen had all utensils necessary for cooking and eating, dishwasher was also there, and washing powder provided Personnel was also very friendly and helpful

New York city easy to reach by public transport, bus or ferry The view of New York was stunning

This hotel is so pretty It’s right by the water

the only thing is, they don’t have any rooms that are waterfront directly but you can definitely see the water from the side window The suite is so spacious and updated I love how it has a full kitchen and a huge refrigerator The woman at the front desk was very polite Parking is $22 in the garage that’s located right outside of the hotel Make sure you let the front desk person know that you will be going in & out so you can retrieve a parking pass for a one time fee It’s very close to NYC!! Complimentary breakfast… don’t expect a full meal It was breakfast sandwiches, cereal, quick meals Still good 🙂 the only thing is I wish they had a pool but it was still a great stay This will be my new go to hotel when I come into town Thank you Residence Inn!!!

Very impressive hotel in an impressive location A word or warning to start however about the hotels reservation service, I spent over half an hour while the agent ensured that we were booking interconnecting rooms but on arrival the hotel know nothing about this To be fair, they went above and beyond to try and accommodate our requirements and upgraded us for two of the three nights

This was really excellent service but obviously our original request should have been noted and honored The rooms were exceptionally spacious, modern and very comfortable Housekeeping was excellent Location can not be faulted because it is literally central to everything Because of its relatively small size we felt that there was a very personal service with all the staff being welcoming and very willing to help We would certainly stay here again on any future visit to New York

I stayed at the Knickerbocker for 1 night The staff was nice and welcoming Looking at it from outside, the architecture is classic and admirable

The interior had a modern design When I came up to my room, I was a little surprised with the huge crack on the side of the doorway It didn’t make the room any less appealing, but it was kind of odd seeing it in a 5 star hotel My room was large with a king size bed and a couch The bathroom was also large with a spacious shower stall Water pressure was great in the shower The bed was comfortable My room window had a view towards the street and across was an office building My window blackout shades however did not work, so I was only able to cover the window with the sheer curtain It felt awkward being completely visible to the building across the street So glad it was a weekend The room had interesting light switches that sets the mood of the room Room service was nice and prompt Just be mindful that every check comes with an 18% gratuity already added Not really sure what the point of the tip line is with that already being calculated into the bill The rooftop restaurant/bar was a nice touch although they close at 11 and stop letting guests in at 1030 4 elevators are present which are fast and not crowded Aside from the the crack by the door way, the most disappointing part of my stay was the food in the breakfast buffet Even though my complementary breakfast came in as part of a credit card benefit for my hotel stay, I can honestly say that it is not worth it if you plan to pay for it I think for each person the cost was $42 + 18% with our gratuity I used my voucher but I was shocked it costs that much for basic food They had sausages, potatoes with bell pepper, scrambled eggs, some fruits, yogurt, and charcuterie Overall, the hotel was nice but not perfect Staff and location are great

I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED this hotel!!! It felt like it was personally curated for me and well, that is always a magical feelingMy partner and I arrived on our bikes and upon arrival, they offered to store our bicycles and to help with dinner reservations The people at the front desk, Luis and Rita quickly became fast friend with us and the manager, Joseph over seeing the place, made us feel extra special with his genuine interest in our lives

You can tell he has been in this industry for a while with his white glove treatment Lastly, Michael, the concierge was very helpful with last minute dinner reservationsThe professionalism, the coolness and the overall vibe of the place was exceptional I personally admire how this hotel is eco- friendly and actively doing their part to help with climate change and the less fortunateThe hotel has a triple filtering system which left me skin feeling like silk smooth, they offer free apples everyday, and if you want to leave some clothing behind, they will donate the used clothing to a near by shelterIf every hotel did more like this hotel is doing, the world would be a better place for allThank you to the 1 Hotel and their staff for such an incredible evening We will be back and hopefully for a longer stay 🙂

I had such a fabulous weekend staying at 1 Hotel in Central Park for my birthday Everyone made my stay so incredibly enjoyable, especially Chris, Josué, Luis, and Andrew (to name a few), and everyone at their restaurant/bar Jams They upgraded our room to a suite and even sent up birthday treats, which made for such a memorable experience

They were all so courteous, kind and welcoming I don’t have enough nice words to say about all the staff there!! I will definitely be back!

Vet nice tranquility and relaxing vibe from the moment we stepped in the lobby upon arrival, and each time during our trip Extremely good location with proximity to Bryant Park, subways and Time Square Rooms here are more spacious that most midtown hotels (check sq footage comparisons)

We had a deluxe King room on a high floor Very quiet Nice (but small) bath tub Room is thoughtfully designed with plenty of shelf space in the bathroom, dual sinks, etc so never felt competing for room to get ready or worried about toothbrush falling on the floor (or worse) Service was great (Eg instantly answer the phone and bring ice bucket within 2 minutes, several times)

George Johnson

I have stayed at the Sofitel New York many times and have always considered it an exceptional hotel; however, my recent visit was not up to its usual standards I am certainly aware of the pandemic and how it has changed the way services must be delivered, but I don’t feel that the Sofitel has adapted or compensated for the new circumstances Other hotels certainly have managed to reopen bars and restaurants, provide room service, etc

Maybe I can understand why there was no welcoming drink or complimentary candy and cookies in the room, but what happened to bottled water in the room? I did request and get a coffee maker for my room, but the supplies were replenished only upon request Again, I understand why the apples around the hotel are gone, but the flowers in the lobby were wilted and sad looking when I arrived What happened to the ice machines and mini-bars? It seems that the time while the hotel was closed should have been used to repair the peeling wallpaper, scratched furniture, etc Arriving in the room used to be a very welcoming experience with music playing on the radio, a flower and candle in the bathroom, and a throw over the bed Now none of that happens The staff is still top quality, but I had to wait 10 minutes to check in I could go on Overall, the Sofitel used to be part of my special vacation experience in New York Now it is just an adequate place to stay

Justin Schultz

We stayed at Sofitel NY for 4 nights in early July and thoroughly enjoyed our stayOur room was clean and well appointed, well in line with other Fairmont properties we have stayed at All the small things I would expect like proper glasses and a corkscrew were on hand

All staff were very kind and attentive, the lobby area was clean, quiet, and comfortableWe enjoyed the location with it being only a short walk to Times Square and Grand Central StationThe restaurant was still closed due to Covid While I respect this stance it seems quite out of line with the current state of thingsThis hotel should certainly be considered for your stay in NYC, I know we would be happy to stay here again

Kamilla Chanysheva

That was my first trip to NY and my first stay at this hotel What can I say – I’m in love with NY and I think mostly because of the hotel staff and the service Each and everyone who works there is incredibly amazing

It was such a pleasure to stay there The hospitality of the personnel is outstanding From the managers and chefs to servers and housekeeping staff I felt like I was back to Europe again but so much better (west coast is sooo different ☹️) The hotel building is beautiful, the food is delicious, the rooms are clean and the service is just perfect I could’ve literally spend the whole day describing every minute of my amazing experience at Pierre hotel I definitely would love to comeback soon Thank you guys!

Arianna Martignetti

Please note that I am writing this review solely in reference to the restaurant/bar – my friends had never been to NY before (they are from the west coast) and prior to walking around Central Park, we decided to grab a drink nearby We walked into The Pierre and immediately realized that we were out of place, definitely not dressed for the occasion, but the restaurant staff welcomed us with open arms as we asked to grab a drink at the bar We ended up staying for a few drinks because the bartender, Sergio, was so unbelievably pleasant

He was personable and humorous, and respectful of our space yet willing to engage in conversation whenever we wanted to chat with him Sergio and his drinks were a highlight of their trip! My partner and I live in Westchester and cannot wait to go visit with him again

Antonio Lopez

I want to say thank you to all of you at the restaurantMatthew, Sergio, Kenny and everyone on the team, excelent cousin and perfect care of the costumer’sI will be back for sure

And thank you so much for not to wear mask is so beautiful to see the smile and to be humans again God bless all youAntonio L

Absolutely a fantastic place to stay while in NJ with a remarkable view that’s quite unique!Front desk staff is very nice and helpful During check in I received a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe skyline view! The hotel’s got all the amenities you’d want or need if here for business or personal travel View, lively bar scene, modern decors, fitness center, business center and very helpful staff

The bar had some popping music on Friday which was very cool! In fact this place reminds me of a W hotel except even more hip! Thanks guys for a wonderful stay so far!

Toni-Ann Mason

This is probably the best hotel I’ve stayed in NYC The staff was amazing and so helpful and friendly I stayed here for my anniversary and we enjoyed our stay that we didn’t want to go back to real life

The location was perfect the ferry is right outside There was absolutely nothing to complain about it was perfect and pet friendly The views were breathtaking

Melinda Rojas

I wouldn’t bother with this hotel Front desk needs better hospitality skills, the front desk drank on the job while checking us in! We could not get a good night sleep because of how loud the music was, room was okay, pretty clean There is no snacks or drinks in the fridge just coffee

It is very hard to get in touch with reception, due to the fact they walk away from the desk and do who knows what, but when we first arrived we saw him at the bar rushing over to the desk to check us In All in all not worth it, I would go somewhere that you can get better service for your money

The staff were amazing, including the very fast service to change out my TV remote when I called down to ask for assistance for my TV: within 2 minutes a service person arrived to assist I recommend room 1404 for the Central Park view We had two rooms, and they were quite large for NYC standards

The breakfast was great; the chef visited all the tables to make sure the diners were happy The door men were great hailing taxis for me The beds were super comfy, and there was no street noise emanating from outside Kudos to the reception staff and the concierge, they were super helpful! I will always stay at the Essex; New York City is back!!!

Excellent central location Rooms were clean The temperature in the rooms were too warm for us and unfortunately we could not turn it down

The beds were very comfortable The view was fantastic The lounge was comfortable, but needs more staff at breakfast I had to eat at an uncleared table The coffee machine did not work on one day also

Clauds V

I couldn’t have asked for a better hotel while I stayed in Manhattan The staff was very friendly and helpful The rooms were very modern and immaculate

I had a view from my bedroom of Times Square, which was the best part! I felt very safe because after-hours, you need your room key to enter the building and use the elevators There is a bar that serves food and drinks in the evening, and a fitness center Each morning the hotel offers complimentary water bottles and breakfast on the terrace Visitors can also sit and eat on the balcony overlooking the cityso lovely! They offered a variety of choices for breakfast and it was a great way to start off my morning I couldn’t have asked for a better experience I will definitely be returning to the West house hotel in the future

Michael Jones

My wife, daughter, and I stayed for 4 nights I’m not sure it’s a 5-star hotel It’s a boutique hotel, so generally more compact size in the lobby and dining area compared to a big true 5/star hotel

Staff was pretty friendly and helpful Room was semi-clean with general cleanliness, but furniture is old and could see crumbs in cracks of tables I believe the resident fee recently went from $30 to $50 We lucked out with booking still being $30 Not a bad deal if you use it for breakfast and light evening meal Plus all you can drink beer and wine Very convenient location with subway entrance almost at front door and Times Square 10 minute walk and Central Park a few blocks north We enjoyed our stay

I don’t usually give out good reviews easily, but I had a fantastic stay at The Blakely New York The front desk is super friendly and helpful The rooms are well maintained and everything works as expected for a hotel that is so old ( I believe it was recently renovated)

Housekeeping was great too but the only downside was that they came too early to service the room every day (at around 9 am) Also, the prices are super cheap for the location (which is ridiculously good, you are at the heart of Manhattan) Highly recommend staying here and experiencing NYC to the fullest

Gang Cheng

This is really a hidden jewel in NYC The location is so great that you can walk to Time Square and Central Parks, etc The bathroom is very nice and I really like its modern shower

The fridge and microwave oven are very convenient The room is relative quiet even on the busy district Room service is on time with high quality very clean It will be helpful that they could have some tissue boxes in the room

Angela Boyle

We visit NYC multiple times a year and The Blakely will be our new home away from home The staff was very friendly, any and all requests for assistance were completed quickly You absolutely cannot beat the price

Spacious, clean quarters, the room gets as warm or cool as you’d like, great water pressure and the water gets super hot Chill ambience, no noise from other hotel guests, housekeeping did a great job Awesome location, good eats nearby, great spot for coffee across the street, and you’re right by the subway We can’t wait to go back

They have blankets in beds instead of duvets which I think it is not hygienic as they don’t get washed per guess stayThe hotel decor is fab and I love it, i can’t get enough of the wall paper and drawings The rooms decor are a little bit more bland with comfortable beds Good size for an NY hotel with 2 large windows which I welcomedNoisy air-conditioningMy room had an American bath tub with a shower over it and curtainAmenities on the poor side with hand soap, body milk, body gel and shampoo No bath rope nor sleepers in the roomSmall deep wardrobe with iron and iron board and small safeRecommended specially for its location

I checked in, and the staff member could not have been any less attentive She didn’t smile; she told me nothing about the hotel (is there a bar, a fitness centre, or what is near)I had a small room, no mini bar in the room, and no coffee makerOn their Hotel Services screen in the room, they say you can have complimentary coffee, tea and water 24 hours a day, ask at the front desk When you ask, they say, “Oh no, Only between 06:00 and 11:30 “, so they are false Advertising their services The fitness centre is also not open 24 hours as advertised in the rooms Just a nasty place all around Even 2* South African hotels are usually way better equippedI will most definitely never stay here again, and for the price, you would expect a lot more I would instead move back to the Hilton Millennium, where they always treat you well and provide excellent service

Overall, a great place to stay The location is conveniently located within walking distance to public transit as well as shops/restaurants in midtown Upon arrival, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful

The hotel has a jazz theme which felt cool and inviting The room was clean, spacious for Manhattan, and we were lucky enough to also have a great view Would definitely recommend to others, and would stay here again

Perfect location for access to everything without the hassle and noiseRooms are well appointed with everything one may need because after all, why come to NYC just to stay in your room?!The decor is exquisitely curated with photos, props, and set designs from Broadway shows and life The design of the entire hotel gives a feel of behind the scenes/ back stage access that delivers both excitement and comfort

I was warmly welcomed and look forward to my future visitsThe staff throughout the hotel (Check-in/out to GM) were exemplary! The entire team is accommodating and they are stewards to hold this gem carefully for all to enjoy

Very cool vibe… Tons of theatre artifacts & images Outstanding decorations & creature comforts Friendly, eager to please staff

Rooms & bar very clean Huge pillows on bed Breakfast had cappuccino, pastries, bagels, yogurt and fresh fruit The fresh cut fruit was delicious, but wish they had a protein option such as hard boiled eggs Location is close to all theaters 🎭 Loved it & going to make this our new hotel for weekend getaways to see shows!

This was my first time at this hotel and it did not disappoint! The mobile check-in is the best I’ve ever experienced The Staff were all very nice The decor throughout is beautiful and the room, although small, is thoughtfully designed to make you feel comfortable

I was in a cozy queen and the only item I would recommend for that room is a hanger to be able to use the clothes steamer (which they provide) Breakfast was perfect for either sit down or grab and go The restaurant/bar atmosphere is also very pleasant Highly recommend!!

The location is a block away from central park and near subways to get you around the city The rooms were clean and comfortable and we got a great view of the city and Lincoln Center There were some issues with the elevators while we were there but we weren’t held up for too long

We were just sad that we couldn’t use the fitness center due to the unusually hot weather that caused them to close it temporarily Their rooftop is also incredible! Super friendly and efficient staff too!

Don’t forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your hotel This web site will compare hundreds of booking websites and normally will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the most well known in this area

I’ve been staying here for years If you stay for a few nights you won’t be disappointedDefinitely one of the bigger hotel rooms you can find in NYC GREAT location, super close to Lincoln Center, Columbus Circle, and tons of transportation options Staff is very friendly and helpful, rooftop pool and bar are amazing with equally amazing service Rooms could use an update, but plenty of amenities available Closet, safe, and mini-fridge were lifesavers

Irina Constantinescu

We loved the complimentary water bottles, we went for them at the reception Downsides:The swimming pool is closedGym is closed

No restaurant for breakfast in the hotelThe rooftop closes at 11pm, except Fridays & Saturdays when it closes at 1am (staff confused the closing times, so we couldn’t enjoy the rooftop)The rooms are very old, but clean You can hear the noise from the hallway and the elevators, very thin walls in the roomThe room cleaning service is nice, reception as well :)Thank you, overall, for the experienceThe staff was nice, but we would never go back to this hotel – we chose it and paid this money due to the facilities and they were all closed Big disappointment

Great location View depends on your room location The room was the min one should expect for a 4 star hotel

Nice bed and comfortable pillows Weird layout TV in sitting area would not turn off A/c in room kept slamming on and off and was a poor quality window rattler The front desk staff appeared to be burden by guests Security was lacking Although you’ll need a room key to access floors, this is by passed by guests allowing delivery people to tailgate No cameras on the floors Parking is $35 per night but no security patrolling the lotConvenient to NYC Make sure to get out and take a stroll on the boardwalk

Katie Natuzzi

Booked a hotel room block for our wedding and they were so nice and helpful and accommodating! Joy responded to every email or call Check in was great and they helped us with breakfast reservations too Rooms are definitely a little dated, but the beds we comfy and the staff were eager to help in anyway possible! Cannot say enough how great of a stay we had Super friendly staff that helps you out of the car, to the front desk We had a small incident during our stay (no fault of the hotel) and had the opportunity to work it out with the staff who made everything right without hesitation

I was impressed! Still impressed, and will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and everyoneOur room was great size, hot water, quite and very clean Keep up the good work Warwick!

We had a “Premier Suite” with a great view of brick walls 4 feet out our windows The “great view” was never mentioned when I booked the room The bathtub and bathroom floor were so slippery I almost had to crawl around after a shower

Only 3 very small elevators for a hotel this size is a fire hazard I will not be staying there again On a positive the doorman was excellent

Conny Sc

We had the most beautiful stay! The hotel is classic, elegant and historic Our standard room was spacious for New York Most importantly for me, I had no complaints about the cleanliness

Above all, the staff made us feel super comfortable Doorman John welcomed us warmly and sweetened our days 🙂 We will miss him! We would come again anytime!

The staff have all been so nice and accommodating We got a Queen deluxe room for the extra space that made a big difference and was a lot of help when needing to spread out more We have stayed in Times Sq and that was fun but hotel rooms are pretty small

This room for the extra space and wonderful staff made it a great trip Will stay here again

My wife and I have stayed in New York many times When we are going to the theatre it is nice to stay near the Theatre District We stayed in The Pearl recently

It was terrific We’d stayed at a nearby 5 star our previous trip By comparison the Pearl’s rooms were much larger and nicer The hotel staff were great And the place was $150 per night cheaper than what we paid at the 5 star This was an EXCELLENT hotel and we’ll be staying there again in the future!

Nathaniel Franklin

We stayed here for five nights and the location could not be more perfect This place is quite literally in the heart of major theaters (across the street from book of Mormon and next door to Chicago) and around the corner from time square Even that close, the rooms were quiet at night

The staff was great and the rooms had fully controllable temperature which is a rarity I will say the shower head in the bathroom needs some work though

First time in NYC and really enjoyed our stay here in February The lounge and bar areas in the lobby are very cozy and have a great atmosphere, and are decorated extremely well Outlets and computers are also available for use

Check in and out were quick and easy I would receive texts daily checking on our stay and asking if there was anything we needed We had fresh water and a blanket delivered to our room fairly quickly All appliances in the room worked fine Our room was a little chilly no matter what setting we had on, but the staff provided us with an extra blanket so it was fine If you play PokémonGO, we could reach 4 stops from our room and lots of great spawns, and many gyms around to remote into raids Great stay and would love to stay again! Only complaint is the added in resort fees when booking, I really don’t understand why they don’t just include it in their daily rates so it doesn’t feel like a cheap scam

J S

This is the greatest hotel I’ve stayed at in New York From arrival, Esther made sure all of our needs were met The tables outside the hotel were magical for coffee in the morning I sure do miss those tables

Very quiet very clean very nice hotel My wife and I were very inquisitive about areas and food in the neighborhood and the doorman Orlando was very professional and kind We will see you next year for sure Miss you guys already

Josh Boney

The stay was fantastic! Great location in Manhattan for quiet, safety, and access to NYC Older classic building with modern classy upgrades for a professional stay Bedroom w/bathroom was top notch

My favorite aspect of the room was the bed I slept like a baby compared to other nice hotels The bathroom also had high-quality upgraded features that I appreciated It may just be me, but my check-in process could have been better They have the 4-star communication down, but the process did not seem as smooth I would definitely stay here again, so overall 5-star review for me!
