I cannot see the current renovations solving the main problem with this hotel, which is the windows and walls are paper thin One the side of the hotel faces a dance club that plays music until 2 to 3am We could make out the words to the music on the 6th floor

Construction loudly started 7 to 8am each morning The voices in the hallway and nearby rooms were audible; but minor in comparison to ridiculous music and constructionThese problems could have been mitigated Construction could have started later We could have been placing on the opposite side from the dance club, or on a higher floor As a Marriot Titanium customer, this seems like basic considerations that should have occurredI will never stay at this hotel again

My experience – This company did not honor its promises and showed complete disregard for the customer Why? I made reservations weeks in advance for a 2 bedroom with riverside views This was a special mother-daughter trip with my mom, who is 93

When we arrived, I was told the reservations would not be honored because they overbook reservations Their attitude was that as a customer, I did not matter, and I had to take what they gave me So, I had to settle for a room with one bed and one pull out sofa The sofa was hard and dumpy The bed my mom slept in had one sheet We requested house keeping but did not get on their schedule, so no cleaning The safe we needed for our jewelry was brokenThe attitude and actions of this hotel were extremely disappointing I have been to other Embassy Suites and never experienced such disregard It was especially clarifying when I overheard another person who had reservations six months in advance and they were not honoredI should note that they did give me a discount on the lousy room that was provided However, a discount does not make up for spoiling a portion of a well-planned and special visitI would not recommend this Embassy Suites

It is difficult to describe excellence in a few short sentences but here goes: Location: just a few short blocks and easy walk to downtown, and very close to the river front trails and old town Rooms: the rooms are very well appointed with high quality amenities They main lobby is incredible with a beautiful atrium and places to sit and dig the amazing vibe

Staff: All of the staff here was incredible We brought our small dog and staff were very accommodating with our little pup and we very much appreciate that touch They never once questioned anything about our dog Of course we are responsible pet owners and made sure she could use the bathroom outside Food: Incredible coffee and a breakfast that will leave you satisfied and fulfilled It was truly scrumptious Thank you Embassy Suites for an amazing stay We will be back!

I stayed at this hotel for a corporate meeting I found the location to be superb and walking distance to many attractions and restaurants

The parking was easy Staff for extremely friendly and the rooms were very clean The room styling is very elegant They also have complementary wine and beer in the lobby between the hours of 4 to 6 PM They also offer rooms for corporate meetings with great acoustics and set up options The breakfast and lunch as well as the snacks that were provided during the corporate meeting were absolutely some of the best and served on time and fresh The quality of the food served during the corporate meeting was good as that in the restaurant at Echo and rig

Words cannot adequately describe how disappointed I was with my stay at the Kimpton Sawyer in May Kimpton hotels typically have great amenities, clean rooms, stylish decor, and importantly, they don’t charge extra for pets In my move down to LA, I made a point to select Kimpton in SAC for my overnight stay because of this

When I arrived, I was exhausted from 12 hours of driving After check-in, which was friendly, I made my way up the stairs to find a room with carpet (in a pet-friendly hotel…why?), and there were several soil stains from dog stays prior Why anyone would allow incoming guests to stay here in that condition is beyond me At peak level of exhaustion, I decided to use towels to cover up the spots to protect my pets Unfortunately, it was too much to overcome, and we ended up leaving at 5 am with little sleep You never know what people’s circumstances are That day, I was too tired to move, let alone go through the process of getting another room I spent much more than many hotels in anticipation of a typical Kimpton stay That obviously did not happen I will say that the staff seemed friendly, but the oversight on the condition of my room has left such a bad imprint of the Kimpton brand for me

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel It was very clean and updated and the room was spacious I would only recommend each guest be informed of the housekeeping ‘only upon request the night before’ rule, as soon as they check-in

This will be more useful and less frustrating than having to call the front desk and ask why your room wasn’t cleaned IMO Also, a few more breakfast hot food options would be good as well (such as bacon, sausage, pancakes etc although the waffles were excellent and they even had sugar free syrup as an optionnice touch!) They have a small gym and a nice clean outdoor pool area with a grill for BBQing if that’s your desire Also, a covered outdoor smoking area and a security guard on duty in the evening/night parking lot, and since we arrived around mid-night, we really appreciated this touch and felt very safe Overall, I was very happy with our stay and would definitely come back

The spot to pull over for valet parking is a nightmare to get to (if it isn’t full by the time you get there, so get there extra extra early if you want to park there) We parked a street or two down and had to walk 6 minutes with all of our stuff to the hotel Once we got there we walked up and asked to check in during which we were told the room was somehow not ready (check in was said to be at 3pm and we got there at 5pm)

We waited and eventually got up but didn’t get much time to enjoy it since we had a concert that night The guy checking us in gave us a whopping $25 discount (off a very expensive room) which was then null and void considering we had to pay for overnight parking in a totally different garage because they don’t have enough parking to accommodate the rooms Not to mention they overbooked and screwed us on the wait I realize it’s not the fault of the front desk staff, they just work there However, I’m sure they were all well aware that a concert this big was going to be in town and could’ve prepared themselves a little bit better for that Overall, not impressed with how things were handled ESPECIALLY the parking Wouldn’t recommend for concerts/big events Just go to a Holiday Inn or something else I can say the beds were comfortable though, if that’s something you’re looking for

The room was modest compared to other Hyatt hotels I’d stayed in the past We had two queen beds, and they were comfortable My daughter got creative with the pillows on her bedThe bathroom was small There was only a shower, no tub It was serviceableI signed up for a rewards program during check-in I asked the desk clerk if there were any welcome perks for new members She gave us a room upgrade to one with a view of the Capitol She also gave us extra shampoo and conditioner at no chargeThe fridge and coffee maker were housed in a cabinet with a lovely floral aestheticOne thing I found odd at the time, but in retrospect it’s probably due to COVID-19 measures is that all the drawers were empty No city guide, no hotel directory, no pen and paper NadaOne aspect I really liked was the split-design trash can It had one side for waste and one for recyclablesNow the bum end of the visit The hotel has no self-service parking I had the choice of valet parking for $3750 (which I could bill to the room) or try my luck with a public garage two blocks away Valet it wasThere’s no complimentary breakfast There’s an on-site restaurant, but we didn’t use it

To be honest, all Hyatt Centric places I have visited do not disappoint This is no exception The hotel service was excellent, the rooms are very comfortable and spacious

My only two complaints are no suitcase racks provided and the metro runs operates around the hotel My room was on the 7th floor and I hardly heard the metro My view of the state capitol was superb Thank you hotel staff for your excellent hospitality Definitely will visit again

Quaint and old fashion, but it is a riverboat, so wonderful all the same! Our room was on the river side of the boat and the sea lions woke us up each morning, but they were fun to watch and we were able to make coffee in the room which was helpful The included breakfast was good and all of the staff we encountered were great to work with The proximity to old town Sacramento and the train museum made this hotel the perfect location

We enjoyed ourselves, but remember this is a very old restored riverboat so book with that understanding and you will not be disappointed

I stayed here 1 night in late Feb 2022 as i needed a place close to the Amtrak station I loved this place! It has so much personality and was cheaper than other downtown hotels It includes an amazing and complimentary breakfast in a dining room that is elegant and unique and i had friendly service

Yes, some people complain the rooms are small and the toilet is old school (but it made the experience unique and everything worked fine) but i thought the room size was perfect for 1-2 people I highly recommend this place and think it is great value for the money

Came here for my birthday and stayed in the Villa King Suite on bottom with my man and two little ones It had a beautiful living room and kitchen with full kitchenette, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, table, oven, and kurig coffee machine with tea and Pete’s coffee The bedroom and bathroom with jet tub and shower were lovely

Oh yeah can’t forget the super plush robes available as well Lots of space for your belongings as well with a dresser and closet thst had a safe, iron and ironing board This suite is especially kid friendly and is the only one that can hold up to 4 guests There’s a park/playground across the street so perfect for if you are bringing children The sparkling champagne and chocolate covered strawberries were so tasty, the pull out couch was super comfy alongside a gas operated toasty fireplace TV was also available with subscriptions only though I’m pretty sure Overall though I really enjoyed my stay, and I hope to stay here again real soon In the same suite or even try a different one next time😊

I recently stayed here for 10 nights for a business trip It was an okay experienceThe phone in my room was not connected so I had to go to the front desk whenever I needed anything

The walls were quite thin – I could often hear phones receiving texts in the neighboring rooms, someone else snoring, and some adult activitiesThe mattresses were thick, deep mattresses (maybe 12in thick) but the sheets on them were not for deep mattresses, so they popped off the edges about every time I movedThe AC in the room couldn’t keep up during the day even if I kept all the lights off and curtains closed I always came back from work to a room 4 or 5 degrees hotter than it was set There was also no option to keep the fan set to “always on” which I often do in hotels for white noise I actually don’t think I had ever been to a hotel before where this was not possibleThere was a sign in my room saying housekeeping was by request only However, housekeeping cleaned it anyway without a request which I did not like, especially since my room did not have a safeHowever, it is close to a lot of food, gas stations, and highway access There was always someone at the front desk to help, and they had a little selection of snacks you could buy It was clean and seemed well maintained

m without a reservation and they accommodated us immediately My son is allergic to down, so they quickly changed out his pillows and comforter This hotel is absolutely beautiful The lobby, bar area, and conversation room is pure class There is a large fireplace in front of the comfy chairs and couches that we took advantage of, while relaxing with a cocktail from the bar There are gas fire pits on the grounds lit in the evening, if you would like that experience All nestled along the beautiful Sacramento River The hotel restaurant is Scott’s Seafood, which is first class Although we were traveling and could only stay one night, I would not hesitate to stay here as a destination for a relaxing vacation! Had a great stay! Staff was awesome, especially Terry & Bri Breakfast was by far the best I’ve had in awhile at a hotel, once items were going low you didn’t have to mention or request a refill at all, the gentleman working it was on top of it the entire time! I’m not sure about wall-to-wall but I can definitely hear everything went in the hallway However if I needed to stay somewhere for a few days this would be a great place to pick It has a little privacy with a desk that has sliding privacy panels that divide the bed and living area The TV turns both ways so you can watch it from either the living area or the bed Comes with a microwave and refrigerator The closet is a super awesome with a organizer rack And then little thought out details such as a lot of USB plug-ins and dispensers in the shower

Clean , friendly, easy access , & close to all attractions including the airport! The breakfast hit the spot each morning! The weight room was always clean & Vanessa at the front desk was a pleasure to deal with daily! Each time we entered or left we were greeted pleasantly The woman who worked the breakfast buffet were also very accommodating & easy to talk too ! Great location with a very old school charm in the building However everything is modern inside including the rooms and everything was perfectly cleanThe bathroom is large and feature a nice large shower with good water pressure and heat and the beds had good quality linens on them and were very comfortable

The A/C worked very well and our view was solid The windows are singles pane so if your room is facing the highway like ours was you will hear a lot of traffic noise For me I loved it as that sort of sound knocks me out but for people who line dead silence you might be disappointedThe hotel is fully digital so check in, check out and your digital key are all done through the Hilton app which I very much likedWe also got two bottles of water for free and there are more available for purchaseThis hotel is by a ton of food and activities so you will find plenty to do around the area

In it’s current state, however, it’s a little rough around the edges There was a big red “#9” written in the shower The cleanliness turned my stomach a little when I found a dust bunny of curly hair blowing around the bathroom I’m not sure it was worth the price that I paid as the hotel is now

I’m a Diamond member and was extremely disappointed during my stay last week My room, # 221 was at the NE corner of the building The windows are single pane, the east facing small one did not have a black out curtain, and the shower head drizzled water

It was loud The NE corner of the building is near the trash dump and next to the adjoining hotel’s delivery truck docking area Not only did I hear all the truck activities, the beeping from maneuvering and related dumpster noise, despite being away from the main roads I heard all the traffic, as if my windows were not closed I finally felt quietness when I was in the bathroom with the door closed Because the window didn’t have a blackout curtain, it was also not fully dark in the room The nighttime temperature during my stay dropped to the low 20s, and I was cold despite turning the heater on to high 70s The first night I washed my long hair It took me a long time to wash the shampoo out (10+ minutes or so) The shower head trickled water I decided to not wash my hair with shampoo the following two nights of my stay I didn’t have the patience to stand there to try to get the shampoo out and make sure the rest of my body had water to stay warm The worst yet, when I mentioned this to the receptionist, she kept her head down, while continuing to check me out She then said sorry, but was completely insincere I called her out on this, and her response was that they were aware of the problems I am in disbelief I want the money back! If the room is not in a habitable condition–Hilton curio standards–then don’t book it out

We were invited to our close friend’s son’s wedding held here and decided to book a room The entire Hotel has been renovated consistent with the period and is just beautiful Our room was spacious with an ample bathroom including a luxurious spa tub

The ballroom is a nice venue for a wedding and reception After the ceremony the guests were invited to the bar just down the hall to wait as the tables were set up in the ballroom for dinner Adjacent to the bar is a patio equipped with heaters so it can be used year round A continental breakfast is served on the main floor next to the lobby

Excellent place! Awesome staff – polite and efficient and friendly! Judy, who does the weekday breakfast is THE BEST! She keeps everything stocked and asks us if we need anything else Maria, the housekeeping lady is so friendly and helpful, sweet and kind – I want her to be my housekeeper every time i’m there! The front desk people are also terrific and great assets for this hotel The general manager has done a great job hiring wonderful people! I highly recommend this hotel!!!!!

The hotel falls somewhat short of what we have come to expect from Marriott’s level of class It’s not horrible, just not up to par Great location for the hotel though, decent food options and close to downtown and the airport

Rooms: Rooms are semi updated The room we were in had a dented fridge that I brought to the attention of staff because I didn’t want to be charged for itStaff: Staff is friendly, but they appear stressed and overworked Example: I called the front desk the night before check out, asking the front desk what time checkout was They said “3pm” I thought it was odd and confirmed 3pm and they agreed The next day, we went out for an extended breakfast and returned at 12:25 Our key cards didn’t work I approached the front desk and they asked me why I was was past checkout time I informed them I was told 3pm, twice, by the front desk employee from the night before and the current employee was still bewildered and repeatedly told me I was past checkout I don’t know what the issue was since I was just trying to get my key card renewed so I can get into the room and get my stuff so I can leaveTo be clear, the staff was respectful, they just appear to be super stressed with a lot going onOur experience overall wasn’t bad, there just wasn’t anything great about it Pretty substandard for Marriott This could be influenced by the pandemic, so cut the staff some slackI would still stay here, it just may not be my first choice
