We wouldn’t rate it more than 35 It was okay

On the good side: it was clean and had soaps; bar was opened until midnight and cocktails were good On the bad side: no food or snacks in the hotel at all No breakfast or coffee We were told their kitchen was not opened Sunday/Monday Do they really need their kitchen to stock up shelves with some snacks and make a coffee? They list breakfast on their website and we were charged full price My husband asked if we were going to have some discount since we didn’t have breakfast, he was told no The room was reserved for two, we had only one k cup in the room Although, they did give him a couple more when he went to the lobby to ask for it We will not stay there again This hotel stay is worth $89, not $119 that we were charged But we know it is not typical of Cambria We stayed at another Cambria in Greenville SC and it was much much better Cambria in Columbus OH is the one we didn’t like

I am completely floored at the poor condition of the hotel we’re staying in Cambria Hotel in Columbus/Polaris is a joke We are paying almost $350 for 1 night

I would expect near perfection for that priceWebsite claims to have a restaurant/room service Was told when we checked in that they haven’t had a restaurant in nearly 2 years The hot tub is broken They have construction going on None of the ice machines work on any floor except the first Elevators were dirty Tables pushed up against the wall Almost looked abandonedOur room curtains are ripped Lamp shades are broken Jacuzzi tub bubbles didn’t work Furniture scratched up Looks like it came out of a 50 year old motel 6 Missing knob on dimmer switch Cobwebs on the ceilingFor $350 a night I would expect more Would have also been nice if someone would have contacted us with the problems before booking it

kelsey ziomkowski (Kels)

The two rooms I stayed in were nice, but they both need some updating, especially the bathrooms Why all hotels think water isn’t going to leak all over the bathroom floor from the shower I have no clue- but there is no shutting the shower doors in those hotel room Pillows were too small, and mattress was a bit too firm for me

I had to be switched to another room because the battery stopped working on my thermostat and it was hot, but in the other room, the fan sounded like it was a plane engine ready to explodeThe front desk agents were not the friendliest and the overall experience was just not the most pleasant

The hotel itself is nice, clean and in a nice, convenient area However, our stay was extremely disappointing My daughter and I picked this hotel (and paid a couple hundred dollars more for it) because it advertised the pool as being open, and we wanted a nice room with a Jacuzzi tub

But we got there and the pool was actually closed all 3 days and the in room jacuzzi tub had only one working nozzle, so unless you sat in front of it, it was like sitting in a deep bathtub We even had to wait 45 minutes from our scheduled check in time for our room to actually be open Was supposed to get a digital key and not have to have contact with the front desk at all but this didn’t happen either Concerns were ignored, not addressed Overall extremely disappointed, especially for amount paid If you’re not looking for any particular amenities it is a nice place Just don’t expect too much

David Hughes

Very well managed property clean comfortable rooms helpful staff Refrigerator microwave and Craig in room excellent floor space Nice Courtyard patio area to sit and socialize and socialize right off the bar area no

Well stocked convenience store on site as well as continental and continental and menu breakfast breakfast Quaker steak and lube right across the street easy walkAmple size parking lot much to do local in the areaThe only downside to this day was that the pool and the hot tub were currently out of order also also the ice maker on the 4th floor which I’m sure they will have these things repaired very soon I believe they also have an airport shuttle available check with front desk for The Times As always like and follow for more Thank you save travels😀

Graeme Swallow

The room was comfortable, breakfast was very good So why 3 stars? For starters, the pool was very small for a hotel of this size But that didn’t matter too much anyway because the water was FREEZING

Even my kids, who I suspect are actually part fish, didn’t stay in the water for more than 10 minutes Also, after reading other reviews, I realized some of the issues reported by other people are still present months later Ice makers have been broken for MONTHS The hot tub has been broken for MONTHS For the price everyone is paying, I would expect management to be on top of maintenance If the amenities aren’t important to you, your stay will be fine Otherwise, I suggest looking elsewhere

We prepaid for our room for a relatives wedding The night of the wedding the Window crashed inward to our room waking us at 4am Then we were told we weren’t at fault and wouldn’t be charged… until we were

$500 later and some major safety concerns and they still maintain I did something to cause the window to break… while dead asleep This is all after relatives booked this hotel for a wedding Avoid these crooks who care more about their bottom dollar that they do the safety of their guests!

Ladies – read this before booking a stay here! I travel frequently on business; most often alone Last week I stayed at this hotel with 2 colleagues The hotel was in very poor condition but I overlooked the many issues because it appears they have started a renovation somewhere inside {certainly not in the room I was in!} What I can’t overlook is a very serious safety concern with this hotel

One of my colleagues’ key cards stopped working in the middle of our stay He went to the front desk and the associate asked his room number and gave him new keys with no verification whatsoever! She didn’t ask his name, and she didn’t ask for an ID This is very concerning to me as she had no idea if he was an actual guest or a stalker that was about to enter a room and wait on an unassuming guest to arrive later This is inexcusable! Earlier in the week, another colleague was able to charge something to his room with zero ID verificationWhile nowhere near as serious, it does tell me that not verifying guests identity is a consistent issue here Travelers, and especially women, book reliable hotel chains when they are traveling alone and their safety should be the highest priority of hotel chains I have tried twice to reach the GM of the hotel, John Hickey, but he has yet to call me back even though I left detailed messages explaining I had a serious safety concern I’ll never stay at this hotel again…if you do, I suggest checking the closet before locking your door for the evening

David Abram

This hotel in general feels like a Days Inn motel, offering nothing at all special except a place to store your luggage while you lie on their misshapen, springy mattressesThe rooms have a pullout sofa bed thing that was actually only slightly less comfortable than the bed itself, which has probably been around since the 90s 0 stars for comfort

The shower/bath faucet was actually the wrong valve to match which was was hot and which way was cold You had to turn it toward cold to get hot, and hot to get cold Strangest thing everThe hallways repeat the Days Inn feel, but the lobby tries to make you feel like you’re joining a Marriott property 100% of their budget goes into pretending to be a Marriott, albeit the lowest version of one as a CourtyardThe price is okay, but you get what you pay for

Chance Cobbett

Seems great from the start but are fridge was so small I couldn’t put anything else in except 1 gallon of milk for my daughter, I honestly think the only microwave is in the lobby, pretty much if your traveling for work and a family member or 2 stays at the hotel they don’t have much resources to make your own food! I will also say my 1 year old daughter that sleeps through the night cried some during the day and are neighbors thought it’d be great the mock her and then she was even more upset, I went to the front desk and was told their wasn’t really anything they would do, long story short we checked out the next day

We stayed here for a Volleyball tournament The rooms were very clean The beds were very comfortable

The girls got to swim together in the evening, which any parent knows is a necessity! The best part was the digital check in/checkout and the digital room key! This is genius!! We were checked in before we got there and we didn’t have to fool with the keys I checked out on the way to the tournament and it was super easy The girls got a great, hot breakfast before their tournament They love the waffle makers!

This hotel is a great place to stay after a long work day, it’s also nice just for having plain fun jumping from bed to bed (I’ve done it)Hot Takes: Hot Takes are opinions said by the people who stay here and the workersFirst Hot Take: “all taken, parking good, service people friendly, would stay here again”Second Hot Take: “take on this place? Good nice, clean and nicely decorated, comfortable hm would stay again”

Third Hot Take: “cool huh let me think about it the suger cookies they give you are great”Clearly everyone thinks this place is amazing but the reason I gave it a four star is because I’m paranoid that there are cameras and I’ve looked around and I haven’t found any, then again I’m no detective and I don’t want to break anything so we’ll never knowTo sum up everything said so far this place is a great place to come to and stay at for a night and it has this homey feeling to it, and it’s in a amazing spot for food and work would come stay at again, vacation or workSincerely, Plant

Emily Leonard

For nearly $200 a night, there was mold on the bathroom floor and ceiling, hair all over the sheets, a TV remote that didn’t work, a hot tub teeming with hair of all kinds and chunks of skin, and rotting food in the breakfast Polaris is a gorgeous place and very safe, so this hotel surprised me I picked it based on the breakfast and hot tub and it was so vile I left the hot tub in five minutes and stuck with orange juice for breakfast

I will not be returning It was so embarrassing bringing friends here The staff at the desk was very nice and that’s as good as it gets

We decided to take a quick getaway to Columbus and this location was fantastic The room quality and size for the price can’t be beat The room was very clean and the check-in/out procedure was easy

They had a great selection for breakfast and the employees handling that were very friendly as well We did not use the pool but it was open and looked clean We will definitely use this hotel again if we are back in the area

Angela Sebesy

You can tell that the staff cares about the cleanliness of the hotel, due to how clean the rooms were Only reason for the 4/5 is because the walls are paper thin and we were woken up several times by the teenagers in the room next to us between 1a – 3a We had to call down to the front desk 3 separate times to rectify the situation and they did send someone up each time we called

Breakfast was good, even had gluten free options Definitely a convenient location if you are going to Easton for a shopping trip!

DJ E

Amazing hotel, just went last weekend! Very clean, pool wasn’t as clear as I thought it would be, but it was probably a lot of people that went in There must had been a cheer competition going on nearby, it was really busyOverall very comfortable, clean hotel, staff was amazing! This is probably the best hotel in Columbus, especially with it being by a shopping mall!

I stayed here for 6 nights, and I will attest that location is wonderful However, the hotel leaves a lot to be desired The gym is missing weights, there’s no yoga mats

The room was comfortable but my room had some baseboard trim missing, the shower body soap bottle was detached from the wall and so someone had just propped it up on the shelf Only gave me one hand towel and one wash cloth The worst part was breakfast While it’s great that they were doing “made to order,” every morning there was a big line, which took forever Also, they were missing a bunch of things on the menu Menu advertised Impossible sausage, they didn’t have it, avocado toast was supposed to have sun dried tomato and arugula, and it was simply multi-grain bread with store bought guacamole slathered on and one cold hard boiled egg Bagels, no cream cheese, bagel was barely toasted and still cold in the middle The eggs were greasy I don’t understand how this hotel is approved by the Marriott brand

Theresa Porter

The hotel was nice and clean Did not try the cafe but the food smelled goodHad a king size bed that was very comfortable, had a couch that could be a sleeper

Bathroom w/shower was great! TV w/great selection of channels Also did not make it to the pool or the exercise room The hotel is in an awesome location, walking distance to shopping and restaurants!

Timothy Carter

Oh man this was a disappointing experience My normal experience with Courtyards is positive but this place failed to live up to that Let’s dive in

AC Unit:During the night, something in the AC unit produced a sound that I would describe as a monster truck with a helicopter rotary mounted on top This is my main complaint and everything else is a minor annoyanceThe Shower:The lack of water pressure was disappointing but not uncommon What confused me was the lack of body wash in one of the three mounted dispensersThe Bite:After a night of AC terror I found what I believe to be an insect bite on my stomach While I can’t confirm I got it in the hotel I wouldn’t be surprised at this pointIn closing, I had a lovely time here before going to bed but after that it was all downhill I won’t be coming back until some major reservations have been made that are more in par with the standards of Easton

The area is quiet and shopping is close as well Staff is really friendly It’s very clean and well kept The pool is nice and outdoor patio is nice They have a pool table which is fun for and great way to pass time Their guest laundry area is convenient and cheap which is great when you have laundry to do Overall it’s not a bad place to stay I stayed for 7 weeks while working on a remodel

The staff were nice The fridge barely made ice I turned on the ice maker in the freezer on Friday

For the total weekend, there were a total of 20 ice cubes, maybe Glad the freezer was cold enough to freeze my bottle water The toilet in our room was very low The bed was extra soft I’m used to a more firmer bed To top this weekend off, our car (along with 4 other guests) was broken into The thieves busted several car windows & stole the cash they found It wasn’t a lot of cash in the car It cost us more to pay for the window replacement Then we found out a similar incident happened a couple months ago at this location Our vandalism occurred between the hours of 12 midnight and 2:30am Monday, July 25th, 2022 During our stay there was a police car (what we thought was a police car was actually security) in the parking lot during the day At night this security person would make rounds at each hotel in the area In the end, 4 cars at this hotel were vandalized and 7 cars at the next hotel Needless to say, we don’t plan to stay at this location again We did file a police report and the front desk person was helpful in supplying guests with bags to put over their broken car window and a broom to sweep out the broken glass In the end, I wanted to share this with others to make them aware of the possibility of car vandalism in this area

Very nice hotel not too far off the toll road My kids were amazed that there were people in suits since we don’t usually stay in fancy hotels The property is shared by a Residence Inn, which might have slightly lower prices

The pool is a little small but was good enough for our needs The executive lounge (if you have enough Marriott status) offered a very good breakfast that filled up all my kids

Kyu Kim

Stayed here while my daughter and I visited OSU

was very impressed ! Rooms are clean and spacious and quiet The bed was super comfortable ! Staff was very accommodating especially the front desk people At first, I had trouble finding parking until I realized they have a huge lot in the back Bar is nice too – we only had their continental breakfast for $13 so can’t really comment on the restaurants However, I would advise eating at a local restaurant as so many great options in Columbus

For a Marriott Hotel, I expected a lot more I’m going to give a fair list of Pro’s and Cons’sPros- Hotel is beautiful, truly feels like your classic Marriott hotel Very modern and updated, lobby furniture is comfortable and lots of plugs

– Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating Nothing felt like a hassle or like we were wrong for asking a question, they were fantastic!-Rooms were clean and well kept upon arrival-Pool was Heated-Fitness center had fresh water and had a decent amount of machinesNow for cons which unfortunately there are more than pros, in order from least importance to most importanceCons-There was no microwave in the rooms Not a big deal but if you’ve already had a shower and you’re in your pj’s, it’s kind of a hassle to put on some sweatpants or a jacket to walk all the way downstairs to the lobby, make your food, and then take it back up At that point it’s not even really hot anymore-Despite the pool being heated, the AC was blowing in the room with the pool which made it kind of cold despite the water being warm-Pool was very small I understand this is more of a “conference” hotel but for a hotel of that size, it should have most definitely been larger-There was no Jacuzzi/Hot tub It’s like they think corporate people don’t like to sit back and relax either, I was very disappointed about that-I didn’t expect complimentary breakfast but holy cow it was $1295 per person if you wanted it And it wasn’t made to order You could walk next door to Bob Evan’s and get a made to order breakfast for about the same price or about $2 more- The shower head had very low water pressure Thankfully my father was traveling with me and was able to tighten it and fix it but if it had just been me I would not have been able to reach it or known to fix it like that-The bathroom door is a sliding glass barn door While it looks cool and is nice, since there is no real door, you can hear everything from the bathroom in the room……-The hotel is very large and the lack of signage makes it very confusing! They need to hand out a little map to everyone when they check in I know many people who got a lost in these combined hotels on this trip Even the elevators were confusing cause they all have weird quirks to them-In order to get daily housekeeping you have to call down to the front desk and “request” it This doesn’t necessarily bother me as they may not have enough resources to clean everybody’s room everyday However if you are someone that wants fresh towels each day you need to request housekeeping What DID bother me is that no one had informed us at check in or any other point that we had to call down and request daily housekeeping Once again, my issue isn’t having to request it, it’s that no one let us know we had to request it in order to receive the service Towards the end of the first day we called to the front desk and asked why there hadn’t been any housekeeping that came by and that’s when they informed us- and put us down for daily housekeeping after that-This is my biggest grievance The temperature and climate in the rooms is out of control The room was literally humid Like the air was thick and damp Made it very hard to sleep The only thing that kind of helped the humidity in the room was turning the air on but oh my gosh it was freezing! There’s only two settings for the AC and the one that blew the air less made the room extremely humid and the other blew freezing cold air on your face the whole night, no matter which way you turned the vents We even tried adjusting the temperature and turning off the fan but it didn’t do much Ultimately left with a choice of freeze or struggle to breathe Absolutely horrible It was not just our room We traveled in a very large party and everyone else said the same thing I literally asked everyone in our party- no jokeI’m giving it a solid 3 out of 5 For a “luxury” brand it was not a “luxury” experienced but it could have been much worse I would not stay here again given the choice

We stayed here for a weekend while we visited the zoo The hotel was a nice, easy drive to the zoo There were plenty of nearby restaurants

The front desk staff were helpful and nice I liked the layout of our room (felt bigger than some apartments I’ve been in) The bed was comfortable We didn’t get a chance to check out either of the two pools or workout areas, but they looked very nice The workout rooms were the best I’ve seen in a hotel The breakfast that was included with our stay was very good It was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had The service there was great too There was a wedding going on each night we were there, so we had to park a little further away than we would have liked to, but it wasn’t a big deal One thing to consider when booking this hotel is know that it is a large complex We had to walk a good distance to the hotel and to our hotel room from the elevator This wasn’t an issue for us, but if you struggle walking long distances, it’s something you should consider

Zach Evick

I don’t normally write reviews, but this hotel exceeded our expectations for a weekend stay The room was spacious and great for our family of four Breakfast was the best hotel free breakfast with large variety

Our kids really enjoyed the indoor pool Several hours after we checked out, we realized my daughter left her stuffed animal in the hotel room After calling and talking with them, they didn’t find it in the room, but would keep a lookout in the laundry since we thought it was left on the bed Before we left town we went back to the hotel to check and every worker knew about the missing stuffed animal and went above and beyond to try and find it They went through all the laundry bins and eventually found it after it went through the washer I’m forever grateful for these workers helping find my daughters stuffy Nationwide should be proud for such a great staff We will always stay at Nationwide when visiting Columbus and tell everyone we know to stay there too Thank you guys so much!

Jackie Ulmer

Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center went above and beyond our expectations It is truly a hidden gem in Columbus, Ohio What drew us to the venue, and specifically the Edgewater room, was how relaxed, yet elegant the space was

The room is surrounded with windows and an abundance of natural light We looked at many venues in Columbus, but the cost, quality of food/drink, and quality of the venue space/hotel, is incomparable to the other venues The customer service provided by all of the staff members was incredible The staff and event team is highly organized and they did a fabulous job communicating with us and bringing our reception vision to life They were extremely accommodating and did everything in their power to make even the smallest details a priority I cannot recommend Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center enough!

What a fantastic hotel! We stayed 3 nights here recently attending the CBC Dance Competition All of the staff we met and took care of us were friendly and amazing to work with! That alone was a 5 star in just service alone! Add the wonderful really clean room with giant comfy beds and pillows! Top it off with all the wonderful amenities on site and boom! Solid hit! 10/10 recommend and will absolutely stay again if we are ever back out that way!

I really liked this hotel Check in and check out was very easy This was also a dog friendly hotel and we brought our German shepherd

It was an excellent stay We liked the waiter from the bar/grill and the beds were very comfortable My only feedback is that the remote in our room didn’t work, I’ve been busy and by the time I went to leave a review on the survey, the link had expired Otherwise, really great hotel

The rooms need some better maintenance but the staff was very quick to fix anything within their ability to fix A very beautiful hotel with a very excellent and convenient location, would definitely recommend this place, although I would recommend immediately reporting any room issuesAlso, on a much brighter note, the staff found out it was my daughters birthday and bought her a cake and sang happy birthday to her so that was incredibly nice and very much appreciated

Beautiful hotel! Neat, clean, and spacious Staff was kind and helpful The extra fee for the breakfast buffet is absolutely worth paying! The made-to-order omelets were delicious! They also had scrambled eggs, meats, waffles/pancakes, breads/bagels/muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, juice, milk, and coffee

If you don’t want to use valet, there are plenty of parking spaces (they also have a parking deck) Perfect location! Close to everything

I stayed at this hotel for 12 days! It overall would’ve been decent, except for the front desk staff, well one in particular, I think her name was Brenda During one of the many evenings I stayed, there was a party in the “Presidential Suite” across the hall from me I called the front desk to have them come up to address it

I was told by this person, they would call the room I assumed this hotel would have security and they would send them up to the room After another 30 min of no change, I called again and got the same person She told me she would call again, then, also said, she knew who was in that room Almost implying it was a friend or coworker I asked if it would be better if I called the police She told e I wasn’t allowed to call the police Yes NOT ALLOWED!! She told me if I did I would be kicked out along with the people making all the noise I asked to speak to the manager and she put me on an endless hold, so I hung up Immediately after that, the noise stopped This morning, the electricity went out I got the same person when I called down to ask about it She said it was out for everyone and hung up on me No apology, nothing Horrible Horrible customer service Run don’t walk to one of the other many hotels in that area!!!

We stayed here one night and chose it because it was walking distance to Easton Town Center The room was immaculate The hotel lobby was gorgeous

Front desk was helpful and also friendly! The pool was also perfect We didn’t work out in the fitness center, but I did regret not bringing my workout clothes when I saw it When we come back to Columbus, we will definitely stay here again!

So, the hotel is pretty nice and clean But the AC went out in our room and I called the desk at 3:00am to say “Hey we’re roasting in here even though the thermostat is set to 60!” The response was, “I’m just the night clerk, not a mechanic I suggest you open your window

” We did end up doing that but it didn’t help much, it was still hella hot, plus there were no screens on the windows so a couple bugs flew in, AND worse, starting at about 6am, birds and traffic noises began coming through loud and clear! When we checked out, I mentioned it and the clerk said, “Oh yeah the AC went out for the whole hotel last night Sorry ’bout that” Like nothing else? No, “we’ll comp your valet parking for 1 day” “How about a free breakfast voucher?” Nothing For $300 we expected a MUCH better experience!!

We stayed at the Blackwell Inn on the executive floor The room was spacious and well decorated I loved the bed

The air conditioning was perfect The bathroom had all the items needed (Toothbrush kit, shaving kit, shower bonnet etc) The service was great The entire hotel was clean and smelled fresh We used valet They were fast and efficient I would return for sure

The room and hotel were nice My issue was with the hotel desk staff We are concerned about COVID, and the girl at the desk didn’t put on a mask, even though we were wearing masks

I know their guidelines say they don’t have to wear masks, but it would be courteous of them to do it if the customers are wearing masks After all, they are working in the hospitality industry, and catering to customers’ concerns is hospitable

So

Mixed review here The staff has been fantastic; helpful, competent and attentive The public spaces are welcoming and attractive but the furniture isn’t the most comfortable The room is a nice space and the bathroom is super nice The room, however, is entirely covered in laminate flooring Not a fan Regardless of the heat setting the floor stayed cold, it’s slippery when wet and feels pretty industrial While this otherwise is a really nice property, I don’t think I’d stay here again specifically for the flooring

Good staff Good common spaces Small Indoor pool for exercise

Nice fitness room with rower etc and accommodations are good Little quirky things Nautical theme is kind of weird since its landlocked area with retention pond as only water feature But weirdest thing was the door sensor to roomStopped working Got new room but staff had to break into other room to get our things We waited at least an hour so good thing we did that funeral like we had yesterday, or wedding etc Got a call late at night asking about our $120 bar bill for Raymond No Raymond here and certainly 2 drinks didn’t cost $120 Otherwise the rate is good Lots of outdoor places to sit near the pond and some games too

Rob Keisling

This hotel was easily accessible from the expressway and close to everything we needed Our room was fairly clean apart from a few spots on the carpet here and there The garbage cans had no liners in them and housekeeping only cleans on request

We were told to leave garbage outside of our door during the day and someone would pick it up The room is decent sized and has a separate living area from the bedroom which I loved Pool and workout room were nice and breakfast was tasty and hot, just a little crowded My only real complaint would be check in I checked in late like 1030 11 pm Guests were crowding the check in desks just hanging out and talking I stood around for 15 or so minutes before an employee acknowledged me for check in Also, elevators There are 2 sets of 2 elevators but every day we were there only 1 of the 2 elevators was working on both sets

Patti Morgan

We were lucky to get a room on short notice on a Saturday afternoon The room was large and clean, and the fold out couch was perfect for the kidsThe trash cans in the room did not have liners, and the tub was slow at draining

There was plenty of soap available, and the hair products were much appreciatedThe breakfast spread was amazing Lots of cereal, fruit, and fresh cooked foodAll elevators were functioning, halls were clean, everything well in order in the lobby and lounge

I stay at a lot of Hilton hotels Our stay was good but not great I’ve noticed Embassy Suites hotels are ran similarly

Overall, the stay was decent The room was a good size room for my family and the hotel was nice enough for our quick trip over memorial day weekend But we were missing a few things in the room we had to call and let the front desk know Missing tv remote and they had a fake phone in the bedroom The pool wasn’t heated and the staff weren’t that friendly Front desk personnel were nice At breakfast, the staff begins breaking down breakfast before 10am and actually shut the doors on people still getting food and coffee The bar staff at dinner weren’t outgoing and friendly but did their jobs Food was good but would like to be able to get coffee after 10am
