The customer service at this hotel is very poor I am a Marriott Ambassador and I use Marriott hotels for business and personal travel I booked a room for my employees and they were not allowed to stay at this hotel

On several occasions I book hotels and sign a document allow them to use my credit card for all charges and never had a problem My employees were treated very poorly and told they could not stay there I attempt to discuss with the manager over the phone and was told no they would not help I sent them to a Hampton inn (Hilton Brand ) and they were welcomed and taken care of Management here needs retraining on hospitality!

Brittany T

I stayed at the Marriott a couple weeks ago and paid $25 a day for valet parking, which was a spot in the metropolis parking garage My car got broken into and my airbags were stolen Both Marriott & Metropolis refused to pay for the damage even though it was kept in their parking garage

Nobody would own up to it and kept passing the buck This is SUPPOSED to be a secure garage since it has cameras and only residents have assess What am I paying for if my car isn’t even safe? Be aware and do not stay here I’ve stayed at several Marriott’s and have never had an issue until here

The hotel is conveniently located between two nice size malls, one directly across the street, with excellent retail and food optionsThe rooms was clean and nicely appointed Staff were friendly and attentive

We stayed in the Homewoods Suites section of the hotel There’s sufficient well lit parking The restaurant had very limited food offerings at the time of our stay Also, if you suffer from migraines, and are triggered by strong fragrances, request housekeeping does not utilize their air freshener in your room to avoid the trigger

maria arce

Staff was above 5 stars! Since check in they were AWESOME! We got to the hotel earlier that we expected and they allow us to do early check in That gave us time to decorate the room with balloons to surprise our daughter for her FIU graduation Room was shining clean thanks to the early attention that they did do to us being earlier

Front desk was so kind and attentive! The restaurant OMG! The breakfast buffet and the breakfast crew are the BEST that I had in long time We enjoyed the pool area, the pool table and the convenience store 5 stars are too low score for this wonderful place

Ian Lewis

The customer service at the front desk was terribly disappointing During an interaction, I remained in line to be attended to and after the two guests ahead of me left, the two staff members (Gomez and a female representative), failed to acknowledge meI remained, the only guest in the area, standing there waiting

The female team member glanced at me before quickly returning to her computer Failing to either gesture or say “please hold,” I continued to wait until I eventually walked offI would hate to believe that this was a form of discrimination on the hotel’s part I reported the incident immediately to Hilton and am awaiting the outcome of the investigationBeautiful hotel tainted by the disgusting front desk service #DoBetter

Really great experience at Thesis for a family wedding! Clean, comfortable rooms with accommodating and friendly staff The restaurant is excellent and so is the service I only gave this 4/5 stars because the pool area wasn’t super comfortable – it’s completely shaded in the afternoon and located on the 3rd floor amid a total wind tunnel

Vipanj Patel

Highly recommend this hotel Very clean, the restaurants are fantastic and the amenities are very nice The pool and outdoor area on the 3rd floor, along the the live band, are great for hanging out and having drinks

The 2 restaurants are world class, with unique and tasty dishes and a nice bar Definitely stay here if you get a chance!

UM, August parent price gouging rates are $500+ per night (because UM starts) plus $35 to park in the next-door structure After parking, the way back to the hotel lobby is not marked at all, so it takes a while to learn the tricky walking route back to the hotel They charge for the Continental breakfast and $3

50 for lobby coffee They are very tight with the towels The card keys for the elevators do not work correctly, and two hands are often needed The elevators are slow for a 2021 buildingI had difficulty sleeping because all the rooms have very loud individual AC units inside We turned ours off at night but could still hear the truck-like AC noise from the room next to us all night long, on and off and on All the rooms have a very odd large picture of 5-girls white bathing suited bums out with their heads into white flowering oleander bushes This was strangeThe shower handle is very sharp and sticks out too far inside and outside the shower, so you might hit it with your elbow or arm, which hurts very badly The bed frame corners are also very sharp, so you will bruise or cut your leg going to the bathroom in the dark The chemical fragrance blasted in the hallways every day is intense and not necessary The windows are screwed shut, and no balconies Other than all that, it was good

I have been to other health camps, this one is by far the worst camp possible for your health The food and nutrition was so bad I lost 2 days of my life throwing up, only to find out that this happens to 15% of clients In addition the food was literally damaging my kidneys

This too is common! They take your blood weekly just to manage how much damage to your kidneys they are causing I tried to stick it out but had to eat out for lunch and dinner in order to regain my health, breakfast was the only healthy meal there Their workout routine is boring with very little diversification What they offer is nothing a person can use for any type of a sustainable lifestyle change for long term health They promote weight loss not fat loss All the weight loss comes from water weight only and is back on you in a week

Kristie Meave

This is my second time at Pritikin and it is absolutely transformative While the classes and workouts are great, the real value is in what they teach you about health Within two days of being here my blood pressure has dropped from 152/102 on meds, to 114/ over 73 off meds

It’s all about education and what salt, poor diet and lack of exercise does to your body Unlike other resorts there is an entire medical team here that really listens and takes the time to explainWhile it is expensive, about $11,500 ( high season) for two weeks for a private room, all meals: classes are included as well as access to the full resort and spa and other things like cooking classes Additionally, the cost is a small price to pay on what could be exorbitant medical bills in the futureAll staff is incredibly kind 5 stars!!!Also ages run the gamut There are 70 year olds healthier than this 45 year old

Steven Galtier

Very effective program for weight loss and educational seminars – 3rd trip in the last 2 years – includes a complete physical – got off a blood pressure med while here and still off of itA+ rating in my book

I won’t pretend to be a hotel connoisseur or anything but this stay was pretty bad Sure it’s a nice looking facility but if the bar is so low that isn’t outside the norm, then I don’t know what I’m doing in life1

) No complimentary breakfast Didn’t even ask for the price Nickel and diming isn’t my style2) Room was not cleaned or maintained ONE time in my 4 day stay3) Surprise $200 deposit at time of payment I understand a deposit, but be transparent4) Couldn’t get laundry services done And after asking several times when it’s going to be back available, get told that the cut off has already passed You would think that information would’ve been included when I was, you know, asking about itOverall, it was less than a sub par experience for a “four star” hotel I’ve had far better interactions and experiences at 2 star Extended Stay and Comfort Inns First time/last time for me thanks

Angie Nash

I am in Miami pretty often because I fly back and forth to Bahamas often and usually stay at a different Hilton but decided to try this DoubleTree because it was next to a mall and lots of restaurants and still very close to airport I was surprised how nice this hotel was The room was very nice and clean

I even ordered roomService breakfast before I had to head to airport It was exactly on time The lady was very sweet and professional when she delivered and my breakfast was fantastic My coffee was Starbucks which I loved! I have decided to stay at this hotel from now on when I fly in and out 😊

Josh Fiallo

We were absolutely gouged for a breakfast that would easily be topped by most Hampton Inns After a mandatory $7 tip—despite being greeted with an annoyed employee, seating ourselves and serving ourselves—the price was $50 I’m annoyed to pay it even with a $30 F&B credit being taken off for being a Hilton Diamond member

Besides this, the property was elegant and clean, especially for the price point We loved the terrace especially That said, the rude non-service at breakfast (we sat ourselves, left for the cold buffet and returned to a $50 check sitting in the middle of our table) will probably keep us from returning, just because it was a bit insulting, really Others who we passed complaining to the front desk about breakfast likely feel the same The rest of the staff, especially those at the front desk, were incredibly kind and helpful

My boyfriend (choice diamond elite member) and I stayed here one night The staff was very friendly The rooms were clean

The breakfast was delicious and the workers did a great job making sure everything was replaced when things were running low If we are ever in the area we will definitely be back Thank you for a great night’s stay

Dago herrada

Staff are amazing , very clean all the time , it is what I call an oasis in the middle of the crowded city The breakfast is one of the best things about this hotel , the always have fruits and fresh daily, different a types of coffee, juice, cereal and I love the waffles What I can say is very good for this team to make this hotel better everyday

Della Navarro

The hotel was conveniently located near attractions and the Rolling Loud festival that my son and friend attended Pool was nice, breakfast was decent and desk attendants were friendly Downside is that they have a current policy that they don’t clean the room during your stay there and we had to dispose of our trash and request new towels throughout our stay

If you have pets

This is not the place to go It’s $100 pet fee per pet The highest pet fee that I’ve ever experienced from any Marriott hotel that I’ve ever stayed in Was also char charged a cleaning fee for pet hairLast year I stayed over 250 days in Marriott hotels Find a different one There are better pet friendly Residence Inns Great staff and still convenient commute

Jen Garone

Breakfast is now microwaved sandwiches YuckGym needs cleaning & there are never towels to use

Floors in my room were in need of cleaningFront desk doesn’t recognize loyalty Front desk person was on a FaceTime call and she kept the call going while the phone was face up I inquired and it was only then that she disconnected Front desk doesn’t respond to the chats in the app When they finally did, it was 10 hours after first contactDoor to one of the entry ways is often not able to be safely closed behind youI have stayed here over 15 times in the last 4 years and have probably done so for the last time Many other options available now

Andrew Zelechoski

Wonderful hotel that truly was a hidden gem The hotel hostess and employees were very friendly and helpful with everything I was even able to check in early

During checking at 9:30 PM the desk clerk was rude, like I was interfering with her evening I asked to have my rooms cleaned daily Responded “we don’t do that here”

When asked why, the response was because of the pandemic Really, from someone who is in a different city every week, this is the first hotel in over a year that refused to clean rooms when asked Just another example of a hotel reducing services using the pandemic as an excuse Continental breakfast consisted of Jimmy Dean sandwich turkey sausage and overcook dry omelets Not very appetizing Location is not that convenient, down an alley in the back The management allowed a large freight truck to block ten spaces right in front of the entrance reducing the already limited parking ” Should have parked on the side” Checked out this morning Same desk clerk, still rude, still unhelpful Was going to stay another week here as I still have business in Miami but I changed to a more accommodating hotel To be honest this treatment is what I have come to expect from the Marriott brand Will do my best to stay at more accommodating brands in the future

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel Despite what the other reviews say about the customer service, it is actually good The rooms are nice and clean and decently roomy

The gym is quite nice, there are dumbbells and one cable machine The breakfast I enjoyed quite a bit You can cook to order food I enjoyed the scrambled eggs, omelette, and French toast Overall the hotel is new and pretty good However, there’s a reason it’s not 5 stars The wifi is annoying to get working and it kept disconnecting over and over until it finally worked For some reason, when I called room service, my call was not picked up even though I called several times There is also no complementary breakfast Overall, would recommend

Dan Kochenderfer

Average for a Hilton The staff was kind enough, but very slow in response We had 5 people in our room, and needed extra towels

It took calling the desk 3 times before the towels showed up Room was spacious Breakfast wasn’t great Elevator was sketchy as hell We were only staying 1 night before heading to the airport, so it was adequate for our needs

Lazuli dispute

Super clean and pretty but it’s just very LOUD You can hear EVERYTHING going on in the hallways It felt as if the people talking out at the halls were right at our door

The lady’s who clean are very loud and I’m not sure if it’s employees or others staying at the hotel but my fiancé and I heard bumps and bangs ALL night Couldn’t get any sleep for the two nights we were here Worst part was that they put us on the 3rd floor right next to the elevator and a room everyone goes to I think for supplies if you want a quiet and not so cramped hotel I suggest a more quiet area

My daughter and I had the privilege of hanging out at the Country Club yesterday for a Golf Charity event It was amazing, the green are well kept We got there early and was able to walk around and explore the place

From the time we pulled up we were treated like royalty While walking to find the Pro we ran into Mr Jose that was doing a little painting He greeted us with a smile and pleasant conversation Next we wondered into the Pro shop again we were greeted with the same level of hospitality We moved on to find the place where our event was being hosted We were greeted by the staff that was setting up There is an amazing older lady by the name of Ana Eijo she was one of our food severs The food was amazing By the time our event had started, we knew who to go to and a little about them Awesome golf staff We had the pleasure of meeting Mr David and his bag staff What an amazing day it was As the day closed and we were leaving it was amazing how many of the staff remembered us and wished us a safe journey home Definitely, this experience is worth repeating

Comfortable room Modern and clean We booked this to have airport transfer, but then found out later their shuttles don’t run until 7am, which was too late, so that was disappointing

The biggest issue is the SMELL While it’s meant to smell good, it’s some type of overpowering scent wafting through the lobby that made us all feel sick while standing there It’s definitely way too strong Not sure how the employees can handle that honestly Otherwise, good hotel

Joanna Markman

Had high hopes for this hotel but they were dashed Stayed two nights with my family first room we were given was dirty, toe nail clippings on the floor, the shower only had one setting hell hot, when reported to front desk they offered to move us The next room a lot light was falling out of the ceiling and the shower door leaked creating a large puddle on the floor

We were offered breakfast for our inconvenience however didn’t take advantage as the breakfast stopped at 10 All in all not going to stay at this on again

Hotel was nice, pool was amazing Great music played the entire time We all felt the pool closed to early and bar and food service weren’t available on Monday and Tuesday and we didn’t know that when we booked

The location was perfect, everything was so close to us Valet was awesome and never a wait for the vehicle and we came and went a lot while we stayed there they never got irritated at us and always on time Took one star because of pool closing early and no drinks or food for 2 days of our trip

My first time in this hotel I liked it The suite was very comfortable, AC super

not very often you see central AC in hotel’s room That’s one of my prioritiesvery Convenient to the places I wanted to go Staff was super, special kudos to the valet parking employees, very organized , super friendly and courteous and the app they have to request your car from your phone is awesome I definitely will come back again from now on when visit Miami

Roof top pool was amazing It had two jumbo screens, a bar, ample space to get out of the sun Table tennis and a gym

The decor and vibe of the hotel was amazing The valet staff, front desk and even house keeping were all so nice and pleasant Plenty of near by restaurants to walk too or even deliver Should have taken more pictures these don’t do it justice

Loved the hotel Great for a weekend get a way close to home for me! Very clean and friendly Only downside was indoor bar was closed

So if you wanted to have food or a drink you have to go to the restaurants that were very packed So that was the only downside it wasn’t disclosed when booking that bar area isn’t open Otherwise it was really nice Quiet, clean, air works very well, no bad or musty odors, and staff was really nice Definitely recommend!

Florencia Florentin

I stayed it only one night at the Towneplace Suites by Marriott in west Kendall and I really really love it The room it is super comfortable and roomy and I can say that whoever build this places though about everything use every corner to the max and it’s not crowded I would definitely recommend for you to check it out! Also on great location, a lots of restaurants it’s just walking distance

Will Neathawk

Bad experience turned great thanks to Roxana and Susana Upon arrival it was discovered that one of our room reservations had been cancelled without notice and there were no available rooms to accommodate Once this was brought to the attention of Roxana and Susana, they took care of cancelling our other 3 reservations for a full refund as we needed a new place to stay being hours away from home

Will revisit in the future

Gorgeous hotel and very friendly staff I stayed in the king suite and it was beautiful! Very spacious with the bedroom and seating area that can be closed off The bathroom was huge and shower was wonderful

Loved how open it looked when the bathroom curtain was up but could be closed if you wanted privacy The only complaint I would have would be the lighting in the rooms was pretty dark and I would have appreciated brighter bulbs with dimming

I booked this hotel based on the reviews and location being near the airport Karen was awesome She checked me in with over and beyond service

Friendly and quickly at that The room was just as pictured in the photos! Which was definitely a plus I understand why the bathrooms were mentioned so much Very nice Very quiet for being near the airport Bartenders and the shuttle drivers were also very attentive and friendly I will definitely stay here again Thank you for a nice hotel experience Karen and staff!

This was my first time even hearing about EB hotel— and I’m happy that I did The staff is kind and accommodating and very helpful The rooms are modern and clean, and the beds are very comfy

It’s also easy to get to with the airport shuttle Last but not least the breakfast is yummy and affordable— not so much the dinner But still it’s very convenient to have the restaurant on site I’ll be back next time I have a layover in MIA

My entire stay has been so pleasant from top to bottom, but I really want to commend Jocelyn (the bartender at the 2nd floor lounge) My boss and I pretty much posted up in the lounge every evening/night over the past week to get some work done Thankfully, Jocelyn was here every night and was such a pleasure

She is incredibly attentive and friendly Even when she was swamped, she never missed a beat The food was great and served quickly and the drinks were perfect Jocelyn is the type of employee I think any establishment would be lucky to have! Will definitely be staying here for my next work trip

Stayed here for a 24 hour work trip I spend over 100 nights a year on the road for work and let me tell you, Joscelyn, the bartender at the AC Lounge was by far the best bartender I’ve ever had ANYWHERE I’ve stayed She was extremely attentive, took time to have genuine conversation with her customers, and even had her own personal signature cocktail menu

And let me tell you, this girl knows how to make a good drink! She had me sample a few and they were all remarkable Seriously, the best bartender I’ve had ANYWHERE She CRUSHED it I’m in Miami 3-4 times a year for work and will only be staying at AC Dadeland from now

Terrible service No one bothers to help with your things, and no bell service to take your things to your rooms either Breakfast is nice but too pricey at 24 dollars

They also charge extra if you drink more coffee Rooms are big in size and look nice, but the toilet paper feels like it is made of sand paper Great location, almost inside a mall If you want to shop in a supermarket, you have to cross a street Overall, great place if you are not going to have breakfast here and bring your own toilet paper They allow deliveries straight to your room which is great

After the hotel we stayed at on South Beach, this was a welcomed changed Check-in was quick Our room was on the 21st floor and we had a spectacular view

And everything was nice and cleanI was a bit disappointed that their bar didn’t have non-alcoholic beer, and a bit put-off by the bartender constantly making jokes about adding alcohol to my club soda and lime I don’t drink anymore, so his remarks weren’t exactly humorous to meThe pool area and gym were very nice The pool water was warm, which was perfect for the cool and breezy evenings It’s nice to relax out there and chat the time away until they close out at 10pm And you can watch the sunset from there as well

I recently stayed at the Dadeland Marriot on a business trip I was greeted by Kate at the front desk for check in She was extremely polite and attentive

She had me checked in and on my way in a very timely manner The next day I ran into Kate again because I needed a new key and she asked how I was enjoying my stay and if there was any I need to not hesitate to ask I had dinner at the hotel 3 nights while I was there The bartender Steve was great Must try his old fashioned I can honestly say that both Kate and Steve are all about customer service and ensuring the guest have a memorable experience at the hotel I will definitely be coming back

Villa

The most disgusting outdated room I’ve ever stayed in There was bodily fluids stains on the couch which looked about 30 years old Holes in the curtains, mold and bacteria in the bathroom and just a real horrible feeling to even being in the room

The manager who I forget her name was a lady and was so rude when I complained She said that even she wouldn’t pay the price the room costs but yet wouldn’t do anything about it The room really should be investigated as it was totally unhygienic and make me feel sick I would recommend to people staying in this area to go the the Marriott inside dadeland mall The rooms are modern and the staff are lovely This hotel is a complete dump and be warned if you are booking online You may end up having a holiday in a room that makes your skin crawl If management wants to get in touch I would love to forward you the pictures of the mold and bacteria in the air vents and the fluid stains on the sofa There should be some type of investigation into the conditions I was not the only one complaining, I heard many other saying the same!!!!!!
